"So what do you do there? Do you put in dare I say Dani Alves in 2022 and it's starting 11 for Brazil? Do you put in millet out? You know, those to me are bigger questions than name are missing out in the group stages because Brazil will win this group and they will. They will do well without Neymar in it. In the knockout stages at different question. But yes, I'm worried I want to see Neymar, but I'm more worried what's going to happen at the back. Was that a look away in disgust at the mention of Dani Alves? No. I don't think I'm allowed this is a 90 minute right back. Exactly. You woke up at this stage. I think it probably will be it didn't immediately tell having watched them against Serbia. But back for they basically say the whole time, which is fine, because you got so many players going forward. But for me, going back to name ah, and I wondered, how do you replace them? Who do you choose? Yeah, you can write off. You've got a lot of great players. But part of me wonders, the temptation will be there because he's played in that position before at club level. You move the packet up into name our goal behind the striker. He means Lucas paqueta, everybody. I love the nickname. I just want to add some context. But listen, this adds to our customer was saying because he says we have other players that have been performing at the same level like Vinnie junior, Athena is Charleston, Gabrielle Jesus. We, those who play in the back end, often joke that we feel sorry for our rivals because we can replace roughly for Anthony, richarlison for Gabriel Jesus. We have Rodrigo, Gabriel Martinelli. We have a wide array of options on the bench. It's great for us, but it doesn't change the fact that Neymar is our best player. So he's actually using the name R is. But then some say, is it disrespectful to say that you feel sorry for your arrival? Or is he just being completely honest? He's just being honest. It's Brazil. I would be so terrified if I saw this Brazilian side. He's right. And I like the idea of Pakistan moving pushing up more than gap said. You have two options, I think, if you're a cheater. God forbid, me tell chicha what to do. But I feel like you could also have heard gaps say this in the past. You could double pivot. You could bring in fret. You could put Fred and Casa Miro as a double pivot and then allow the packet to just move up. Or to your point K Murray, which is what Cassini said, Gabrielle Jesus could also be part of this Rodrigo. So there are options. And I think it was right. We miss Neymar, he's our best player. We're good to go. I feel sorry for our opponents because we have so many options. It's fine. I think a lot of it's going to depend on the opponent. Part of the issue with the packet further being deployed further forward is obviously you saw this in the Serbia game. When he was further back, he's got passing lanes, he can look up, he's got Casimir recovering for him. She's just more time. If you place her forward, if he plays in the name of a role, he's going to have somebody up his backside straight away. He's going to have to play a lot on the half turn. He can do that, but he's also not the most dynamic player out there. So I've been going back and forth on what you do. I love the idea of brutal human rights and maybe you just go straight for three three. Or otherwise, if you're going to play somebody with Richard, so let's remember, we started play center forward. He's not a genuine center for what he's not a traditional center forward. Maybe you play Rodrigo through the correct gap. In fact, I'll just remind everybody in June. I know it was a friendly, but in June, Brazil destroyed South Korea 5 one. It was four four two. So, you know, I get it. Neymar is important. And by the way, Brazil won Copa América in 2019 without Neymar. I know. It's very important. But in the group stages, I'm not worried for Brazil. This is Miguel at Czech speaking. This Brazil side inside out. Kevin, I wonder if you saw the FIFA, we've seen as though you're a big fans with FIFA and you're getting calls and texts from them. I think this FIFA panel calling Cristiano Ronaldo, a genius in that controversial penalty that was one for particle in the three two win over Ghana, according to FIFA's expert World Cup analyst in a briefing on Saturday. Do you know anything about this? Or would you like me to tell you more? So first of all, it's really funny because whenever anybody who's at the World Cup at the FIFA World Cup does something good, we mentioned their name. Because it's an individual. Whatever it's somebody doing something bad, it's FIFA the evil toxic organization, right? Going back to 2010, even though most of these guys weren't there in 2010. So I believe this gentleman actually is somebody I think we should all treat him with a bit of respect. This is gentlemen who said this is if I'm not mistaken, correct me, Luis, or cases. It's varied mondragon. It was one that I like. Legendary Colombian goalkeeper came back, tried to play in a world company, who was mid 40s if I'm not mistaken, you know, almost as iconic as Egypt's Al hadari. So look, he's talking about people winning penalties. He's a goalkeeper. He views it from the goalkeepers perspective. And it's kind of like a frenemy thing, right? You don't want to see your opposing. You don't need to see your defenders. Your boys, right? You're offensive lines your Tom Brady. I can't believe you just compared Monte on to Tom Brady. I know. I will never, ever, ever hear that comparison ever again. Thank you, God. Yeah, no, I'm sure it doesn't deflate balls or eat weird avocado stuff. And he might do even better than just sell. Actually, because he's a very handsome man. What's cool is in Tom Brady too. Anyway, back into the present. So I think you're speaking up for his defenders. And so his idea, look, that penalty did Ronaldo go looking for it. Did he win it? Did he draw the file? Yeah, that's what he's talking to. It's not turn this into, oh, the man's Colombian, so, you know, he must know the dark arts and show admire people people cheating and winning penalties, right? Yeah. Yeah, he did say maybe the strikers are getting smarter. If you look at the penalty that Ronaldo got, people can say what they want about this man, but the spot. The smartness and the ingenious start to just being patient and wait for that split second to touch the ball first before you and continue my legs so that your contacts will hit my leg that is total genius and one more thing that I'll add. If your player on your national team is doing the same and getting a penalty for your national team, you're not complaining half as much as you're saying, okay, we'll take it. Yeah, it's true. One 100%. And I'm sorry, they're going to rant about something that was done on the script. But I was at the Iran Wales game. And some people make comments as you probably know about the Iranian players and gamesmanship and stuff like that. So Nico Williams, who I'm pretty sure is not Iranian. I believe he's a scouse are actually. I saw him do something, which Luis is going to prove of them short. So he got clattered, he got injured by basically by the sidelines. And he collapses in a heap. And I think it was probably a legit foul. And it was just beyond beyond the sideline. So he's off the field of play. Ball goes the other way. He's down there. He's asking for treatment. He's asking for help. Help starts going towards him. What does he do?

"New favorite color. Oh, that's brilliant. It is something Jules when you look at that attacking lineup, isn't it? Just so full of quality. Yeah, it's incredible those 9 forwards, maybe a little bit too many. I don't know. Let's see. Let's see how she keeps them all happy during the competition, but we were not sure if you would take the whole 26, which she has. We were not sure if Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, for example, who missed out in the last squad in September, will make it as well. And they both made it. We saw those wingers. We saw name also watching it with his son. And then everywhere really they loaded. And this is that competition. We said, of course, the last tournament for him. They are a huge favorite, of course, considering the way they've been playing and the squad that they have pretty much everybody is there, really. When you think about it, they don't have one big or two big players missing three injuries like a Pogba in the context, for example. So it's massive. It's massive and the adventure starts today. The French excuses coming through already. We're talking about Brazil. No firmina. Well, he's not playing better than all this other players. And he's not being as productive nearly as productive as some of the players that are on that list. And actually all of the players are on that list. And so I'm not so concerned about the fact that Roberto Firmino is not there because the options that TJ has allowed him to have to make this sort of decision and say, you know what? This

"I'm not making that up I'm a David. Both beautiful in terms of the writing and also visually just what it looks like to great size. It's a great way which really is pretty true of all the men in blazers books. Let's just say they serve a lot of functions beyond just reading. David just kept shouting as we were doing it heft. So what the heck, man? And I will say the illustrations by the incredible Nate kitsch made this but what we always dreamed of it being when we began to talk about this four years ago, we wanted a really gorgeous object worthy of any coffee table if you don't have a coffee table pre order your coffee table now and they are hopeful so that it's readable for kids in the same way as many of you who have kids will know the book good night stories for rebel girls. If you see for that book, I'll be honest. They're kind of wanted this book to be something that a family is could save her and just dip in and out of and find a real marvel together. If you have a moment, dear listeners, add a review to Amazon, I know it sounds crazy, even if you just go and give it 5 stars. It is crazy how much that silly little act helps bring in a book out in 2022. That is a silly little act in our time. Our day or age. Bringing a book into the world is such a bloody mad thing to do. My wife always says, when I finish a book, I always turn to her and say, God, I'm never gonna do that again. And then like sexy beast for some reason I always get dragged back into doing it and I do love books, but they are works of passion. This book is very much a book of passion. We're grateful to each and every one of you supported this act of creative love, creative madness, big, big love courage. There will be a surreal appearance on the Andy Cohen show watch what happens live this week by tomorrow hours truly. Yeah, we're gonna be on good morning football this week. Yeah, a bunch of other TV periods. Morning Joe, tomorrow morning. Early 7 40. And including in the where's wall though of the television landscape, there is going to be an amazing appearance by roger on a Dave on a certain Devo produced TV show, so. Yeah, rumors of me becoming the new host are greatly exaggerated. Okay, rodge two the football. And this is pretty surreal as well. Arsenal, three, the new arsenal three. The new Liverpool two, less a football match, more of 5 line poem on the human condition arsenal started the scoring in just the first minute, roger, Martin odegaard, with a straight ball Gabriel Martinelli with a diagonal run, or its geometry and just like that, it was one nil, but then it was that striker slash evolution enthusiast of Nunes who leveled things up, but just before halftime. But also ahead again at the far post, dictionary definition judge Ivor Bennett time goal roger changed the entire halftime speech of both managers right after halftime low as if the game wasn't joyous enough. Bobby chompers who came on as a sub made his way onto the scene lashed one home while looking at the ball to level things, but with 14 minutes remaining after Thiago appeared to have made some contact. With Gabrielle Jesus, Michael Oliver awarded a penalty that sucker so coolly converted and is that an Arteta in your pants or are you just happy to see me Arsenal fans? The Gunners win it. Three, two. What a game. What a team. I love them. They stay top of the table. Just reliving that introduction gave me the tingling all over again. The levels, the layers of this story. Remember 7 years in the day, this game came after klops appointment and almost a year since Klopp and a frustrated, beaten down Mikel Arteta had that real argy bargy or pushes and the racer waves and overweight and teeth and hair helmets just flying everywhere on the sideline. And suddenly Liverpool walked out arsenal, a very different creature, a humble, confused being. It felt really like a must win for them to fend off just the season of panic meltdown feelings that are starting to swirl around a seismic 11 points behind arsenal out of touch of the legal leaders before kick-off desperate to prove themselves to themselves their previously well oiled machine. The degrees of precision lost in every single area and suddenly teaching, really, House of Cards in danger of falling down. Their vulnerabilities, obvious to all, you saw it in the pre game ceremonies just a bewildered Trent looking like the coolest kid in class who can't quite work out why he's the one forced to wear the kick me post out on his back and Klopp talked about wanting defensive solidity and attacking unpredictability before the game. That defensive stability, David. It lasted all the 58 seconds, holy crap. It was actually a little less an amazing move from arsenal so much speed on the counter so much swinging the ball from one side of field to the other. And older God, you know, when he gets the ball in the middle of the opponent's final third. You feel like he can put the ball anywhere to anyone in any possible way with any part of his body. He just made a beautiful pass straight down the inside of Alexander Arnold. Not being too defender Y at that point. And there he is, Martinelli, just whap it home. Before the game, my newsletter on Friday, I wrote about this game being all about how the hunter would become the hunted and what ensued was pretty well the worst scenario of what even I in my devious evil could have had in mind. It was only God that slide pass in between my tip. Beautiful. And poor Trent and Martinelli's finish was true. Delirium pandemonium Emirates just a live and then some arsenal really had just scored a goal that was ripped straight out of the Liverpool 2019 20 playbook. Clinical counterattack breathtaking and even more so when you realize it was their first goal against Liverpool in ten hours and 5 minutes to play. And

"The authorities say they've used tear gas to disperse protests which began after marsa amini died in September, she had been arrested by the morality police accused of not completely covering her hair, and as we could hear in that clip, many of the protesters are young women and girls. Our reporter as a day Maschine has been following developments for us. The people in Iran are continuing to document their protests across the country despite the blackouts that are going out and we're still seeing women, schoolgirls, as well as men out on the streets, sometimes that these are peaceful protests. They are singing songs like barrier, which has become an anthem of these marches. It's a song about the rights they're demanding, but sometimes these are violent clashes and instead they're chanting about the things they don't want things like death to the dictator, a reference to the supreme leader, and we're seeing fires lit across the streets, and we're also hearing gunshots in the videos that we see, and we know that at least at this point over the weekend three people have died and an NGO called Iran human rights has tracked these deaths has said that we're nearly at 200 deaths so far, but it's worth worth mentioning that state media has been airing the deaths of the security forces as well according to them at least 20 members of the revolutionary guard, the vasilj as well as police forces have been killed, and while these have been violent clashes, it's worth remembering that the reason state media is continuing to talk about those deaths and not the ones of the protesters is because it feeds into their argument that this isn't dissent but violent riots that are threatening Iran's security. The protests seem to be reflecting now deeper grievances. Is there some sort of tipping point you think? Well, we've seen protests throughout the years about the economy about political corruption, but you're right, this is much deeper than that, and the fact that the mandatory hijab is at the heart of these protests is extremely significant because the mandatory hijab is a pillar of the Islamic Republic. It's a visible symbol of the government. And it's when the country started to look very different to what it did after the 1979 revolution. And again, we're seeing people from all walks of life are involved in these protests. So what's extraordinary is when you see young girls getting involved, these are young girls who've been told that they have to fear authority, they have to follow the rules and yet they're still showing tremendous courage and yelling at these officials and security forces to get out that takes a lot and it's hard to see them suddenly go back after having crossed that threshold. And looking at how the protests are unfolding, how significant is it that shop owners in Tehran have been shutting their shops apparently in sympathy? So that's very symbolic because bazaars are extremely important to the government. They showed support for the Islamic Republic and the mullahs during the 1979 revolution. So for them to shut its very meaningful and it's something that's going to continue telling the government that this is the biggest threat they've seen since the inception 40 years ago. That was as a day was. The soccer authorities in Australia are investigating fresh allegations of racism at the country's recent national Cup final. The game was marred by Nazi salutes a chant associated with the Second World War Croatian Worcestershire movement and booing during a pre match Aboriginal ceremony. Officials are now investigating claims that monkey chants were directed at some of the players. Joining us now from Sydney is our correspondent Phil Mercer. So Phil, it sounds like a pretty tense event, just paint a picture for us of some of the scenes at the final. Well, this was a very toxic atmosphere at a very high profile event. The Australia Cup final was attended by more than 16,000 fans martyrs you say by Nazi salutes in sections of the crowd those chance associated with that far right Croatian movement of World War II also that welcome to country, a very significant indigenous ceremony was disrupted by booze and some of the supporters were holding banners with ultra nationalist symbols. Now football Australia, the governing body is also investigating allegations that are supporter was imitating a monkey and the New South Wales state premier here in eastern Australia Dominic Perry has described this misbehavior as absolutely horrendous and the criticism of these fans has been echoed well across the spectrum of Australian society, Jewish groups said that it was abhorrent and an affront to all Australians. I gather that some fans have been given lifetime bans. What further sanctions does the club potentially face? Well, one of the clubs involved was Sydney united 58. This was formed by Croatian immigrants in the late 1950s. It could well face sanctions. It said that it has zero tolerance towards racism and discrimination, but investigations are continuing not only by football, Australia, but the police as well. Phil, thank you, that was Phil Mercer in Sydney. Now let's get some more sports news with pulsars. Bukayo saka scored twice as arsenal beat Liverpool three two at the Emirates stadium to move back to the top of the English Premier League. Arsenal's Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli says there's no reason they can't keep pace with the champions Manchester City. Of course, we go game by game trying to in love them. We don't look at them. We look at us and we have a great great team and we have a lot of good players. So we can do it. Christiana Ronaldo came off the bench to score the winner as Manchester United beat Everton two one at Goodison Park Ronaldo's 700th goal in club football. The united midfielder Bruno Fernández says things are beginning to come together under new manager Eric ten hark. We have to think like that came by game and I think the main thing, like you said, is keep going, keep doing what managers asking us keep belief on the process because it's a process there and we have to keep the belief that. Elsewhere on Sunday, there were wins for Crystal Palace and West Ham United. Max Verstappen sealed his second Formula One world title

"The official one for the World Cup, which would be next month, really. That if you're missing on the last squad before the competition, then it's really hard to get back into it. It's not cliche. This is the way it is and you will see, I think, a lot of those big countries, the 25 or 26 that have taken in this international break, there's 90% chances that it will be exactly the same by injuries, of course, that it will take to the World Cup. So not being in this one, I think, was a huge blow for garbages in Gabriel Martinelli, especially and especially then when you see the firepower that is Brazilian team has, which is not new, but when they play like that together, rafinha, which are Neymar and Venetians tonight, were so good that you think, okay, yeah, you can take a Jesus and it might be as good as which I'll listen tonight or Gabriel Martinelli might be another good option instead of rafinha and Vinicius in the last 20 minutes. So again, 15 minutes, but you could also easily set well the 6 teacher at selected for this international break, are perfectly fine and you don't need to get very interested in Gabrielle Martin. So unless they have really outstanding performances with arsenal in the next four weeks now to regain that place in the squad, I think it's going to be very difficult for them to make the workup unfortunately. That's a very good point. I think coming coming into this game, you can quite easily make the argument for Martinelli and in particular Gabrielle gerus over at Charleston. I think that was a very easy argument to me. But you see that's this performance of the UC rich Allison and how we functions as the alternate striker in front as in that Brazil attack. And given that performance, I'm not sure what either Jesus or Martinelli can do for arsenal. That puts them ahead of richarlison come to work up because the understanding, the chemistry of Brazil's attack really was something to witness. Okay, well, these three players. I'll call you all players. Jules robo and Shaka will be answering your questions
Martinelli's winner keeps Arsenal's perfect start going
"Arsenal kept its two point lead atop the Premier League with a two one victory over Aston Villa Gabriel Martinelli scored in the 77th minute it came three minutes after villa's Douglas Louise took a corner and fired the ball directly into the net untouched Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring for manager Mikhail Arteta's team which is perfect through 5 games We are always really happy because that's when we have winning four matches that we deserve to win the way we are performing and playing And we need to continue Villa has dropped four of 5 I'm Dave ferry

"Bradley? Yeah, it was a better dressed, one has to say. But yeah, it was a stunning. Two nil down at home and playing at that point, being overrun by a team with a manager who you sort of feel like that lasers and a bunch of people in the stands are thinking, why didn't we bring in grand Potter? I mean, what a miserable, miserable, lonely place that must have been to be at the side of that spectacle. God, this big bull cranium filled only with fight or flight, and I kept hearing David Byrne's voice singing and you may ask yourself, my God, what have I done? I mean, this was same as it ever was. Same as it ever was, and what was worse about this opening gambit was we've been told that ten hag was a brilliant tactical mind. But that pressing was as bad as it was under Ole anor agnate rashford remains a shell of himself a player on the dele Ali. Dan would trajectory. Defending remained ramshackle, it was all. It was also emperor has no clothes, even those poor Smiths couldn't hide ten hogs exposed nudity. You know, some of the excitement about rashford and Sancho during preseason are suddenly dissipated and they didn't really look so strong in that game, you know, we haven't even mentioned Christian Eriksen who I thought looked decent at times, but it just overshadowed by what does feel like dead weight, dead wood, all around him in that squad. It is a collective problem. It's a problem we've seen of so many of post Cyrillic predecessors for ten hog, which is no leadership amidst the chaos. When dark moments happen on the field, all the players just prefer to hide, put the heads down, desperately hope not to be noticed and become the main skeet route because they never manager will be the lightning rod for criticism and ten hog who, before kick-off had arrived to a delirious crescendo of applause, exited to first half booze, it was an astonishing and astonishing just turn around the fate and reality and human darkness he had to get Ronaldo weapon running, booed him. He was booed by some united fans a dude, ten I'll probably lose in this moment to have to rely on Ronaldo, but my God, we were already in a horse a horse, my kingdom for a horse territory on came Ron Ron, replacing Fred, but only after posing at the front of the dig out shirtless. Here I come to save the day, but first, my abs, this messy half apps like these, I don't think so. And then when he trotted, when he trotted on David, do you think he was probably the happiest person in Old Trafford to have his team two nil down without him, they need me. Yeah, without a doubt. I mean, I think we said on do it live last week that you have with trying to figure out what's going to happen in the Ronaldo situation is there's almost certainly going to be a moment at the weekend when they're going to be trailing against Brighton and ten hall's going to look down the bench and he's going to call on Ronaldo of course he does. I think we only said trailing by one goal and they were trailing by two. But yeah, for Ronaldo, he is seeing the Ronaldo movie. There are now legend, the Ronaldo retrospective at that point. And he's thinking, I'm going to come on a score a hat trick. And the united were gifted away back into the game via slop slapsticks Sanchez flailing mcallister goal to one Old Trafford believed again, but honestly, it's kind of incredible this just brightens last ten minute drill to kill off the game. Ten hog through on three attackers, I think, at the death. And the imbalance in their team that resulted meant they never or barely touched the ball again. The game deteriorated just the energy, just bled out of the stadium. I think you united fans in the south stand even had a series of fistfights between themselves, which was honestly just so bloody sad to witness that club has become a Greek gardens and the hapless American ownership, but we've got to we've got a credit all hail brighten and who value seems to happen again. They lose we will talk later about cooker a and what a great player here is and they've lost him one of their great finds of last season. And then they're just playing seamless football, getting performances out of a mixture of players that other teams weren't looking at and like a guy like Danny Welbeck, who wells was just fantastic throughout this game Pascal gross, those goals. Like just front to back what a performance by this team and a coaching masterclass from Graham Potter. We always say, listen to our podcast, Brian and who will be never played two teams at once, man. But I'm so happy for the bloody seagulls. They begin their 6 excessive top flight season with a historic win. They never went in the city of Manchester before Davis. This was their first victory at Old Trafford and remember little speca and just swaggered into Old Trafford emerged with the points and I love Graham Potter's post match quip, the collective idea is more important than any individual. Which brings us to united for ten hog, we are already at the give him time, give him money, give him multiple transfer windows stage of the process and the terrifying reality for me, as I said, was just how much this united was like rang next analyze. And if Potter is right about collective ideas being important, we sold little glimpse of ten hogs collective ideas Dave, they wrote. Yeah, I'm gonna let you feel like it all has to get worse before it gets better, but it will be masked over again because they have some very, very good players and they'll manage to eke out points, but there's still no collective culture in this team. There's no, there's very little team identity. And this is a long project for ten hug, a very, very long project. I would resist the urge to write him off ten hog, but it has to be said he cut a noticeably more confused and bewildered figure postgame calling it a real disappointment, suddenly face to face with the enormous set of challenges he faces at, that would worm devoured defense, the lack of a center midfield pairing, the transfer mess of no Frankie de Jong and the club suddenly leaping for anyone available like Juventus midfielder Adrian ravioli fill it and support replace Ronaldo Ronaldo Ronaldo this season could get so ugly for the glazers. How united fans would kill for Keira Walsh Lucy bronze and Alicia Russo in this united team? Okay, roger Crystal Palace nil arsenal two goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Abu khaya saka cross turned into the net by Mark gay, bookended a tough for London Derby. It may not have been the demolition job gunners fans dreamed of after their preseason.

"Arsenal avoided last year's season opening hiccup by beginning the current campaign with a two nil win over Crystal Palace Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring in the 20th minute off header by Alexander zinchenko but arsenal never really got comfortable until an own goal by palace in the 85th minute Zinchenko and Gabrielle Jesus made their arsenal debuts after coming over from Manchester City Defender William saliba put in a near flawless performance in his first start for arsenal Arsenal also needed two good saves from goalkeeper Aaron ramsdale to maintain the lead I'm Dave ferry

"Intricate passing around the box. And when finally, that those passing, those patterns of play come off, they work. But with that Eddie's, I thought he deserves a massive massive shout as well for keeping the coolness to go across. Yes. That run across our I think as you say this all the time about how when you're a striker, you have these kind of instincts, but I think with where eddies are, the opportunity that you had to start against Chelsea obviously against his old club. Yeah. And then to be bearing down on goal like that. I think it is quite it would be quite easy for him to just forget what he should be doing and go straight for goal. The touch away in front of Tsar, which basically just gives no choice whatsoever. It's like bring him down or Ryan, I've said it, I've said it so many times on podcasts on matches. Whatever I'm doing. It's when you see the touches that players have going down and bearing towards gold is what makes you think, yeah, he's scoring here. I remember when I remember when Gabriel Martinelli at Chelsea funny enough went through the middle when kante slipped, he had about four touches of the ball that were all perfect. Eddie had once he once Kristen miskick that. Eddie had three touches which were absolutely perfect in the weight, the fact that it got him in front of Tsar and then the ball was in a situation in inner area where the goalie is in no man's land because like I say so many times goalkeepers are waiting for a poor touch or a bad decision for them to come narrow angles, close you down so I was when you look up the goalkeepers in your face they need a bad touch. These touches were so good that in the end the finish was so easy for him because there's so much gold to hit because the Goldie can't do anything because the touches are too good. And you just finish with a plum and that is what he's done yesterday and again it goes back to if we could take half chances, that's what I was honestly I was made up last night because I didn't think we were going to win. So when you're sitting in a studio and you're going in there think and then we go up and then they score the two goals. I'm sitting in the studio and the palpitate the palpitations I'm having is just I just wanted us to not lose. I think you saw this though with Chelsea compared to arsenal in the sense that this was a game that arsenal in theory had to win I don't think anyone expected arsenal to win, but they have to win. They have to win every game. That's the reality. If they want to finish in the top four, they have to be looking at winning every single game. Yes. With Chelsea, they lacked a little bit of intensity, I think. And I'm saying this to that guy who tweeted at me, saying like, you guys didn't have to win that game. The third is kind of yeah, it's done. Third is third. The focus is on the FA Cup Final for you guys. So I'm not saying that there was a lack of effort or anything, but it was kind of like there was a lack of it was almost like, yeah, we kind of know that this doesn't really matter that much. You know, the place isn't full. We're under sanction kind of thing. It was the first time that the attendance had the sanctions have kicked in on the attendance. So loads of empty seats because Chelsea weren't able to sell any more tickets apart from season ticket holders. And it all just felt a little bit weird. It felt like, I don't know if you've got this watching it, but it felt like quite a weird occasion overall because of arsenal going ahead. This is Chelsea getting back into it because of then Chelsea in moments looking like a little bit lacking intensity. And you know what's always I'm not a massive sign Ryan when a player is arguing with fans at the end of a game. Never agree. I never figured this out because I think they dug into a journey as well. Do you know what? There's part of me that thinks it's good to see such experienced players still going on those journeys. I'm going to bring down sucker for a penalty. I'm going to score, I'm going to score a goal. I'm going to bring it up. I'm going to score a goal. I'm going to there was one bit as well where he was really like, the camera focused on what he was in the box for a corner, and he was so gnarly. Yeah, but Ryan, the thing with him is and I think with that, that penalty giveaway. For such an experienced player, right? You watched it and I think it sucker was the only arsenal player going into the box. Asked me to quit it was actually on the right side to kind of clear that if they were going to try and put it in the box and it chose to not even he wasn't even looking at the ball. So you know when you say like, it was all weird. Arsenal's starting like they did in scoring, putting Chelsea on the back foot. And I always say, when you score, when you take chances, it changes games, it changes the mentality of the opposition because let me tell you something. When you look at arsenal and a lack of goals, there is no.

"I've always said that. Alicia scored. Yes. Not like Cameron's Emma. And it was ruled out because Olivia was on the floor. And I'm not really sure he tries to make any sort of attempt, but the words of a bit of a bouncing in and out in the box and then comes out to kiss who's called. Did it touch girola? True, but what else could he do? Do you see what I mean? You can't really avoid the ball, right? It's not like he fits. It doesn't matter whether he's lying on the ground or he's in an offside position. Surely. Yeah, I guess so. I could see why Milan were outraged. Of course. And such a big game. Four points clear. Napoleon Milner on top, inter was 7 points behind Napoleon Milan. I think after mashed 12. So what a few weeks ago it was a massive result for Napoleon. It's massive for Napoleon. And not so much for Milan struggling now and still have to say pilly he's done a fantastic job. Fantastic. Yeah, and it's not over. By far. Arsenal made a three wins out of three on Saturday two after the Gunners against a depleted lead side and Gabriel Martinelli was the star of the show again. Have you been impressed? Absolutely. I mean, he's playing on the left hand side of the players in behind the main striker. The timing of his runs have been fantastic. He's got everything you want from a left sided player at the moment. He can go past people with the ball. He runs off the ball a dynamic. They're not out towards the corner flag. They're making diagonal rounds inside the fallback through on goal. He's doing a great pace. And then when he gets to the goal scoring situation, a lot of quick players, then don't have the composure. He's showing great place, and then when he gets there, the composure, just to finish them off as moving and I've got to say, arsenal are very lucky at the moment to have three young players playing in behind a center for. I know Smith wrote cameras a sub. Those three players, saka, Smith row and Martin. They would have to be three of the four, because you can't really play them. But at the moment, two play will at the start and then the road comes on and scores again. Yeah. So I'm sure you'll swap those over. The only thing it is that the problem for Pepe at the moment. Yeah. A bit of a problem for him. By the way, Martinelli, I think became the youngest player since the ox in 2014 to score a brace. He's only 20. And no longer go, I don't think we've celebrated enough, but a hundred games for arsenal, which he was the third youngest third youngest. It didn't quite do it as quickly as I did. I'm apparently the second youngest by a hundred games. So he's fabregas, Robson, and then saka. That's it. Saga is in good company. Very good company. Yeah. He was a great player. In that game, rob holding reported an incident of racial abuse from the Leeds fan towards the arsenal bench. A man has been arrested, holding deserves a lot of credit. Don't you think Jules? I think completely. In terms of, I think leadership, this is what this is what player like him would do. He's a great guy, and heard a racial abuse, and maybe someone didn't catch up for the stood up. And I'm going to see the fourth referee or whatever. And I thought he was really good for more to do. Obviously, this is not something that you want in a stage anyway. But he went and reported it, someone had been arrested, the police have opened an investigation. I thought it was a great thing from holding to do. And again, his leadership in that team and saying to his teammates, you know what? You can rely on me. This is what I'm going to do. And I've got a lot of time for him and Sonny, I think there's a lot of credit for doing this. Rem Madrid had the chance to go back to an 8 point lead at the top of La Liga stewie game that you were commentating against Carrie. And yet they dropped two points. They drew nil nil. As I thought, again, he's starting for the first time running time. Is he the final module? She's got COVID with missing and the lack of creativity. There are 36 shots in the whole game and could not score. A lot of those came in the second half. The first half, they had all the possession, but only had two shots on target. And I always felt that Real Madrid felt the goal will come. The goal will come over two patient early on, and they passed it around without too much creativity. There wasn't enough forward runs. Then when it became urgent, and they realized that getting forward a bit quicker, making the right sort of runs, get more crosses into the box. They looked a threat. As of edin hazard, I feel sorry for him because yeah, me too. He's had lots of injuries. He's completely lost his confidence. When he was at Chelsea, when he plays for Belgium and he's best, when he picks up the ball, he's got that burst of pace that takes him past somebody. At the moment he hasn't got that burst of pace. So he's not going past him. He's going across them. And then he's having to pass somewhere else. He played on the right hand side. I didn't stay there very long because Lucas Vasquez kept on making runs down the line. He then went and joined pens him around from. It did okay in the second. Things in the second, but in a couple of little ones he played one two and got a cross into the box. But he's still not the player. He was. But was it has fault that they only drew the game? Certainly not. I agree. On Friday, jewels it was announced that from 2024, the nation's league will incorporate the ten South American countries. Do you think it's a good idea? And what does it mean for the World Cup? By arson wenger every two years exactly what I think and this move is a huge two fingers to your idea of one thing and depending where you live. On like, hey, your idea of what look, this is what we're going to do. I think FIFA and. All those people, January and fontina must have put for some of them here on their heads. Just like, because this is the worst that could happen for them is this partnership between communal and UFO basically. We saw earlier that they opened an office together in London, which already was a bit like, okay, interesting, then I don't know if you saw the announced again between the winner of the cop America the Euros a Wembley, which we see against Argentina. Two, which, again, I said, okay, they are working clearly very close together and that this one, this big Nations League, which is almost a mini World Cup, if you want more North America, Africa and Asia, but continents. Yeah. And the only ones who have won the World Cup by now is either Europe or South America. So I have to say, I love it. I think it would be great to see Argentina playing as European teams, Brazil, all the others. I think it's great for the smaller countries in South America. We're talking about it with Ali Moreno on the FC show. And he said for Venezuela, this is going to be amazing for our players to get experience to get games against the world. Teams are leveled but now for some.

"Strict. I do love over over loves the club. He loves everybody. He knew that this contract what he was signing was one way. I remember doing it with him on the pitch, guys. I was on a picture of him talking about legacy and what he's trying to do now. You know, whether it's a problem with turning up late for a couple of things or, you know, like, I don't know. You know, like, like me with the misses, when she's caught me and I'm like, you know something. And you're in the dog house. Yeah, you've got me. You've got me. Yes, you're right. I'm sorry. I've argued with you now for four days and you're and you're right. So I'm just going to take it on the chin and can we move on from it? Because I think that people now guys, they just want to harbor on it now. They want to write over our ears. Oh, what's going on? You know, they want to do that. And I just don't think that they should be. We should be doing that. Let them get on with it now. I don't even think it's a bad thing. I don't think it's a good thing. I think so, because it's not like we've got someone in the wings who's absolutely killing it right now. You're hoping that Gabriel Martinelli can do it. You're hoping Balan will get his chance to do it. Eddie can catch you as an signed lack as it looks like he might be moving on. We're not creating chances, so you look at and you think this of it wouldn't make sense to me and it doesn't seem to make sense to me for Mikkel to really put this in a place where there's no comeback from it. It doesn't, it doesn't make sense. So if it means taking the captaincy off of him for this because we may not know more what's gone on behind the scenes and like I say with myself I've had it with George Graham with George Graham as I had to pull me up and say, listen, you fucking owe me something man, because a couple of things what you've done and said, I've called the boss some things. I can't even mention on here. In front of the guys, where he's pulled me up with a massive blazing arguments in front of him. He's called me in on the Monday. We spoken about it and he said, you're going to need to say something in front of the guys. I was making me look really bad. And then you do that and then he says, no, you're going to have to fucking put in some performances for me because if you don't do that, and what's going to happen is that your the guys are seeing that you.
