It has everything to do with belief in yourself and other people believing in you because that's really what it was about right. I knew you have the skills and talent. It's just that you've always had external things pulling away from your success. Was the point right. There was external things pulling away from your money. Right you giving up money and splits to other people for you to our. Were half half of my income every time. That's why when you said if you team up with anybody else fire you and i was like oh. He's s. Yep so i sure so. This was kelly's this is This was kelly's production so just kind of you so joined in is the twenty seventeen. I don't think you close their two thousand. Eighteen twenty was at twenty eighteen. Been happier you're right. So you close three units out of the gate pretty quickly right. So that was the year two thousand eighteen. Okay it got it so that was the entire year. Okay so twenty eighteen. She did basically twenty seven thousand for the entire year. Two thousand nineteen. She did one hundred and forty one thousand two fifty and gci's last this year she'll be at two hundred eighty thousand gci and next year. It looks like the game plans to do about four twenty. So if you look at it it's like going you know you're doing doubling up right so people always ask you know. We talked about it during the business plan where like people are like. Oh a double my business and most of the time. My answer is no. You're not right. Yep but it's because it's you know at certain scale it's really tough to double but really out of the gate. You went from pretty low production to some pretty impressive production last year. Some really impressive production this year. And now you're on your way so i wanna talk about. I had some specific questions. I'm gonna ask him 'cause. I don't wanna for ten so my first question is when you reflect back now right. You're on your way..

"Machine. Now there is the six plays for five hundred yet. He may have been going that route. So it would be a little less but not significantly enough to make a difference to the number. I just said 20,000 yen. We're talking like let's say 18th or something like that. There is a savings there but the stuffed animal let's say I don't know what this this particular crane game was actually had in it the object. He was trying to get it would have been cheaper to buy that for the 20,000 yen. Probably could have bought multiple copies or versions of it instead of just continuing to play the game. So for me, I actually used to be really good dog catcher. And I think that's before they became completely automated and messed with an algorithm that can basically decide how often it pays out. This is a computer and the computer is programmed. It's a program to probably drop. Let's say 95% of the time. So even if you pick it up it'll hold on to it, but then it just releases slightly and then it falls down. I remember. A day where I want about four or five things and then I've never been able to replicate that and to my mind when it actually happened is they've changed the algorithm within the machine took make it harder so I can't win so I gave up. I stopped spending money on UFO catcher actually really enjoy. You have two catchers. This guy saying losing two hundred times in a row statistically is probably not possible. So he called the police and said this is a scam police had the staff do the crane game. This is top-level police work. This is this this is a show we need to have made a choice Game Center investigation. GCI not CSI the staff did it three hundred times and failed Every Time Imagine the pressure you're under you have two cops standing on either side of you and you had a a crane game over and over and over again until you went then they opened the window on the front of the machine and it's moved the toys to different positions and then the staff was able to win money. So that's when they stopped calling it a scam. It doesn't seem like anything happened an interesting thing. You don't know probably if you don't live in Japan if you're playing the crane games here. So let's say you pick something up and it falls down and back into virtually impossible position. You can call the staff over and say look, please make it fair again. They will open the cabinet reposition the toys and stuffed animals and stuff. So you have a fair chance. So this guy he played two hundred times in a row. And never asked the staff to come over and actually do this thing. That is very fair. So maybe he's a purist maybe the he thinks this is like the Dark Souls of crane games. And if he asks for help, he's off to get made fun of by his other crane game friends and and they're going to be like all you know, you gotta get good. But if you want to waste of police officers time, this investigation is pretty much up there. Because the result is either call for help you get the staff to put the toys in the better position or stop playing crane games. We had a story very similar to this a few months ago and it was about a guy who rented a car for a really long time and I'm getting arrested because he just bathed in return the car and he of course he had to pay millions of Yen. I went into what kind of car he could have bought for the same amount of Yen. This guy fifty eight year old man stayed at a hotel for 10 months..

"Which is fantastic coaching clients that are actually going to make way more money than they did last year and credit but the reason is, is because the Hard to sell inventory and a lot of these markets there at selling. Yes. It selling selling fairly quickly. One of my clients morning also pointed out the fact that not only is her stuff selling consistently quickly. But also for expenses are as small as they've ever been in the history of most of her career because she's not having to have stuff that market long marketed forever. Now, there are some exceptions. Of course you go with high end and some of the condo markets in Manhattan there's always exceptions but in in. The markets that are still starved for inventory not only are you selling stuff fast and more of it, but they have not that many expensive. So they're saving tons of money. Yup. So one of the things that we did this morning as we actually raised her goal because she is absolutely on track this is somebody who very accurate with tracking numbers. So in order to recalibrate that goal, we had a few things. How many deals is she selling per month? That are listings that are buyers? What's her lead flow look like? What is her spokesman? Is She getting her business? What's her average net commission? Okay. So then we can say she wanted she's considering raising her goal by two hundred, thousand GCI. Got, five months left right now you're out. Yup. So how do you go about doing? That was the conversation well, we want to know what her actual history was this year to be on track then to raise it by two hundred, thousand, we divide into two hundred, thousand GCI, her average net commission and that pumps out how many deals we had to find. Okay. So now it gets better from there. In her case I believe that was about twenty four more deals in five months which she can do based on her history. Okay. So the next thing that makes even more fun, let's say twenty four deals..

It's very difficult to say exactly. How this will all play out of course, but it's pretty clear that long term care facilities need to be ready before we talk about how they should respond during Investigative Phase I wanna just talk more generally. Eric what are some of the ways that long term care facilities in similar organizations can address liability and compliance risk on a daily basis. Everyone's a great question. And before before the the risks and the liability issues can be addressed I they have to be a dentist side. So when we reference long term care facilities, there's obviously a whole spectrum of facility type of licensure categories and depending on the specific type of facility, the risks and liabilities that that they're dealing with may vary, but at a very high level at a macro level each facility. Each provider type will want to. Together a specific plan to assess their individual needs the needs of their staff, the needs of their their louise resident in as part of that identification that they work their way through identifying the potential risks than issues. There's also a an assessment piece to that so if you pull together a plan, and that's a large part of what we do is working with individual facilities to identify potential risks and issues full together plan, and then engage in risk assessment as to how, but defied issues are going to be addressed. You know one of the primary challenges, and there's environment is dealing with identified issues that disabilities have limited time limited resources to address and also the situation where which I assumed it Terry may address later on where you have individual directives, objectives or requirement that maybe conflicting. When we say hunting you best address these I get a plan together I identify them rank them, and then engage council or consultants advisors to work through a risk assessment as to which issues will.

A. L. kite A. K. A. individuals that we believe. in that were involved in nine eleven that's the entire reason we went to war there that's why there's been a continuous eighteen year plus war in that country and we have a look we have a very complicated situation when you bring into play the United States the Afghan government there now and of course the Taliban but you do not invite. anybody from the Taliban leadership whatsoever onto American soil. and particularly in a place like camp David to it you know to start any type of communications are talks I agree it's just absolutely beyond the pale and it's out there's been a number of people it doesn't matter what your political affiliation is there have been people across the board that absolutely doubts this and they are a hundred percent right for doing so all right I agree with you there John Bolton being one of them is allegedly the vice president also resulted in a straight let's say let's take some calls on this at two five seven five three nine six cherry thank you for waiting patiently on hold what do you think about this. okay first of all in the game it was not a trump supporter and pretty much just didn't want to be the first example of what a woman would be as president right but since then hi I have been impressed with his negotiating skills and his business thanks and all that when we got a good speaker and doesn't really come across well publicly but I don't know I I just think that I was given the benefit of doubt he knows more obviously of what's going on in the country and we do and I'm thinking maybe he's inviting in there because of the Hey this place to bring a terrorist group in most intimidating so let me ask you this sherry well that's that's an interesting opinion but let me ask you this what is he accomplished with Kim Jong un he's met Kim Jong il on June on several occasions we know about the missile tests if he's such a fantastic negotiator what has he accomplished to this point with Kim Jong un. more than anybody else what I'm asking you what is he accomplished that with them red cross that muscle meeting with somebody is accomplishing something at the start but what what what what what if it doesn't do any good it hasn't occurred but it but it hasn't I I have a much broader question for you what you said that he's done things that have been good when it comes to negotiate what negotiating skills as he put on display and what has he shown you positively that has been a benefit to the United States and has been good so far with respect to his negotiating platform the way he's done it what what are serving item the economy Johnny was a was a deal that was done back in two thousand December of two thousand seventeen it was Republicans are anti trump funded Comerica and so that that doesn't mean I'm not pro American also with a second let me interject said hold on one. brought up because. sherry I'm I do not like Donald Trump I think is a horrible human being is that mean I'm. let me finish does that mean I'm not pro American you know I I I didn't care for Obama but never would I put him down because I respect the office of the presidency which I think is sorely lacking in America right now so absolutely no respect for the office of the president the president has respect for the office does the president have respect for the office. okay you guys you guys have fun so you're not going to answer that question and then you're gonna hang up. yeah yeah sure. because Cher defended you can't defend so we don't have so we don't respect you know we don't we're not pro America we don't respect the presidency but then when I ask sherry the question does the president respect the the the the office she goes. okay guys have a good day okay what is Donald trump's negotiating skills had to do with the two thousand December two thousand seventeen you know Akon any plan that he put out that that that that deal the tax break did that might do you know the upper crust of Americans what is in negotiating skills had to do with that plan tell me about well I besides that Chris he is not decides she pointed out that's my point I disagree with her but besides that I take offense when she says you're not pro American president it's a ridiculous statement two five seven five three nine six let's go to Bruce Bruce what's going on was Bruce. Bruce are you there my friend. Hey Brian I was gone good Bruce what's on your mind man. well I just got a couple of quick comments I believe the I think there's some wisdom and then the statement when people say you know that you should keep your friends close and your enemies closer I think it may have been a good idea to have some sort of meeting with these guys I don't agree that it should start with the president and I don't agree with making the location right hi but I do think that if you communicate with someone even if their year I mean you try to work out something that could be better for everyone that that's a good idea I think that's fair. I'd like to make just one more comment that is the government is been doing like a bunch of mistakes and cover ups are really long time this real quick I was involved with the failed rescue attempt of the hostages in Iran way back when one hand to make it to make a long story short I was involved with the actual attempt to rescue them but I will post attached to a heavy mechanized marine squadron and we tried to go rescue the guys went down and Sir if you part Brian is the main meat you're all just for the airforce told the chief of staff that there's about a seventy percent chance or is going to be some really bad Sam storms occurring right if you know anything about avionics a jet engine takes your nose gigantic amount of cubic feet of air perspective to burn the fuel and make their plane fly and as soon as our helicopters ran into the same thing that down the guys trying to rescue him we went down and if you look out up on Google yeah you could not find my name he couldn't find the amount of people that died. helicopters first let me say this two hostages was all that's awesome all straight bullshit first first of all let let me let me say this thank you so much for your service to start your hero and we appreciate what you've done for this country number one number two I don't necessarily disagree what you with what you said earlier when you said that you know maybe not the president maybe not the location but let's have other people reach out to maybe start a conversation I have no problem with that at all that makes complete sense to me as it should with anybody Bruce but to but to just go to the extreme and invite this horrible horrible group of people in the Taliban these terrorists to camp David not only that but the same week as nine eleven nine eleven anniversary I just don't think Donald Trump thanks clearly. that's all I'm saying Bruce if that makes sense easy to say our our presidents crazy yeah thank you for the call by the way Bruce I I'd appreciate enough and big they're not saying don't sit down. it's about where you sit down and talk to him you can go sit down talk to in Seoul South Korea or some other country our Amsterdam I don't. down on American soil I have a problem with the with the taking place on American so just not in that particular location I G. "Station. W GCI who played him every half hour is responsible. Yeah. Exactly. I mean, it goes right down the line. I think everybody has to look in their own conscience. Right, mark. I did seems to me like it's almost like a personal decision. How you deal with it at you. You know as soon as we start imposing like you cannot say this on a record. You know, you must go and never record. Again. You know, we're never says back. You know, when he when he finally gets brought up on charges. You know, the first line of defense here should have been to go after radio stations that continued to play music. But of course, there was no larger infrastructure in place to really hold radio accountable. And that kind of way there was no way to target radio with a black Twitter campaign, for instance, or, you know, to do all these kinds of things that social media has given us a tool, you know. So black radio played what they've thought the audience wanted to hear they continued to play our Kelly, and he continued to be something somebody who was represented as okay within that context. Right. 'cause you could imagine people saying well, like if really if he's been accused why they still playing his records. Right. He must not be right. You know, let's have him his day in court. And and of course, the fact that he was acquitted just complicates this even more when it when it comes to to someone like R Kelly the from. I guess the more. I think about it the more confusing because it's not like he's releasing a whole bunch of new music. It's not it's not like he, you know, he's at the top of people's thoughts. When it comes to, you know, the best sort of contemporary and musicians, and yet the radio stations will still play, you know, step in the name of love as if it just came out three or four months ago the world the way he wants did exactly. It's a good point. And I think also a factor. Here's you know, we practically grow up with an artist like this. Right. And he was this kind of celebrated figure in Chicago for a long time. He was you know, larger than life. You still lose to for some there are murals on the south. And once you hear certain level. It's very hard to knock that person way down to the bottom again because they've built up so much a hate we use overturn like goodwill, but it's certainly a sense of stature, and whereas a band like power bottom. They're just starting out. Exactly. Nobody really knows who they are. And they go, oh, you're accused of sexual assault. Knowing man, I'm not listening to another note, you play that should be the response to our Kelly at this point. You know, I I've gotten to the point where I can't even listen to a record of his anymore. I think for a lot of people it's just like it's really hard for them to go take that next step and say he doesn't mean anything to me anymore because he obviously did mean something to write bread. I mean, your he meant something to you at some point. He did I think it was really hard for me to two separate especially knows anger like our Kelly, the artists from the R Kelly.

"To open several more new stores by the end of the year for more on how tar center has managed to stay afloat when other big box retailers like toys R us have been biting the dust. We turn to billboard contributor, Andy Herman when we connected via Skype. I. I started our conversation by asking Herman how guitar center has seemingly comeback for an encore. Because GCI's privately held company of some of the maneuvering is still shrouded in secrecy of however, what we do know is that they announced a refinancing earlier this year in which they were able to stall any payments on their debt until twenty twenty one. They still carry a debt load of around one point three billion at apparently their strategy is to essentially spend their way out of that debt by continuing to expand the chain and renovate refurbish some of their flagship stores, including one in Hollywood, it seems like it's been very hard for a lot of brick and mortar or big box retail businesses like toys R us because you can get those things on websites like Amazon guitar center's seems to be a little bit different in. It's a little bit. I guess like buying a car you want to drive it. I is that important to their success that people want to come in and. Actually, play the guitars and has the chain recognize that an embrace it. The first part of that question is. Yes, absolutely. I know that, you know, myself as a amateur musician. I always want to actually hold the instrument my hands before by it. And the second part of that question is yes, I do think Qatar center has woken up to the fact that they need to make their stores more interactive to.
