"An article regarding a survey of how often fast food companies use the phrases thank you and you're welcome the results were disappointing so my message is this in your organization lead the way the polite practice manners courtesy and kindness let your customers and your employees know that they appreciate tell them thank you you're welcome and it's my pleasure with respect to survey picture your company is at the top of the list this messages from your friends at the kindness revolution movie buff animal lover safe driver five years of driving an ambulance teaches you a thing or two if people knew what I know lives could be saved when I see a car trying to rush past the turning bus I get concerned you see when big vehicles turn right they have to swing wide to make the turn and that's a lesson you don't want to learn the hard way when trucks and buses turn let's see when I wait it's all roads is our safety visit W. "G. A. L. I want everybody seven of the Passover Good Friday happy Easter you know very very stressful time you know it's over the holidays but we sure you know could use god's help at this time so I I don't think they could have come at a better time because I love prayer all of the power of prayer and I think you know remembering that you know that we have a higher power that can help us during these times of need is I think very very welcoming at this point what's also being welcomed is the fact that the government maybe think about letting some people and they're shut down and thinking about ways to get us back to work now I know that trump and his administration has been since day one thinking about how to get people back to work and how to get the economy going on and it was it's been a fine line between people you know dying from the disease getting still exposing others and you know what having an economy or a world completely stand still and people do not have their jobs we talked about how the stimulus checks are supposed to be coming out for some people this week this one state as long as the iris as your bank deposit for others if you need to check it the check may not come anywhere until may to August and people out there getting antsy it'll beat almost been nice but most of us have watched everything on Netflix already a lot of us are gaining weight we need to get back to the gym many of us want to see other people and be with other people so doctor felt she says that they are discussing something called immunity cards these immunity cards would be kind of like a badge where if you took the antibody test that doctor Burke said will hopefully be rolled out in the next ten days where most of us can take the antibody test to see if we have some sort of immunity if you do have that blood test so that that show that you've been immune maybe they don't have all the logistics of this maybe you could have some sort of an identification that could allow you to go back to work now that is a fantastic idea we've been talking about this for weeks but the reason why it's easier said than done is because most of us are kind of already doing that most of us are you know or have already had it whether we sometimes are not and what has been the most dangerous part of this corona virus epidemic is us people feeling fine might be spreading from person to person so I can be in a meal one helps I mean it allows us to the health care field to be working with people and allows us to you know hopefully not affect others at home but can we still be a carrier and so what's going to have to happen which is what I think the government is grappling with what America is going to be grappling with is how many deaths from corona virus or illness is a corona virus are going to be cold okay as far as I'm concerned death is okay but we have in America on any given day all right hundreds of people die of something apparently the CDC a couple years ago figured out that we average about seventy seven hundred that's a lot of explorable between car accidents between attacks and accidents and heart disease and cancer about seventy seven hundred people a month die which I think is actually under estimation I think the numbers even more a lot higher during cough cold season and flu season so if we are looking at this epidemic and we're like we want all the numbers to be zero that might not be realistic now you might have a bunch of people don't like I'm not going out there until I know the last coronaviruses died okay okay I get you know that's that's your decision yeah unless you Ford but for the country to go back to work they're going to have to be okay with the fact that we are going to have people continuing to die same thing with me be on the road I don't want to you know be on the road and possibly cause a car to you know they decide to make going to the right.

"G. A. R. well there is some comfort in in tradition and we have a lot of tradition here over the last home now twenty three twenty four years I've been back home doing this morning show I think Mel was clearly the longest running morning radio show in the Detroit area as far as I know and we have the man of the cloth who come by on special days like this Ash Wednesday and that that includes now as it continues with archbishop Allen vigneron and up on this Ash Wednesday we invite him to come on board say a few words and and leave us with a blessing for those who would like to receive it on this special day archbishop vigneron good morning and thanks for coming back to the Paul W. Smith show W. J. R. thank you for having me back Paul W. appreciated very much it's great to be with you and the audience I love this this drive that's under way related to Ash Wednesday and the spiritual importance of land where you're asking for people this is very good you're asking for people to give us their Ash Wednesday self fees and I love this hashtag hashtag it's a great cash tag ash tag and then there's also S. UTG Detroit which is something you've been talking about for a while unleash the gospel talk about that well Paul is it's really an initiative of all the faithful and the clergy in the archdiocese of Detroit here in southeast Michigan to take up again our mission to share the good news the hope that comes with the gospel in the Christ and the popes in the last the fifty years of group called on the church to return to our core mission which is to to bring people to the lord and I think that's a message that resonates in our community because there's been so much of the change in our lives that all of the institutions in southeast Michigan have had to get back to the core mission the the automobile manufacturers the D. I. A. schools the universities and we're doing that too as a community of faith well that it's when a lot of people depend on in a an organized faith in organized religion rituals and traditions and it's always good for people to know what to do and how to best approach this season that we're approaching as some people talk about certainly it's always prayer some people are fasting giving to to the church or to worthy causes one way or another and that we were talking earlier about if we were giving something up for choosing to do something a positive some people look at it that way arch bishop and I how do you look at it well all W. F. I can step back a little because I'm always ready to be theoretical as a former philosophy teacher but you were talking earlier about people may be wanting to get a new diamond on an old is maturing I I was listening thanks you for that ugh the land is about people renewing their marriage with the lord and so these practices have this goal just like any marriage can get stale our covenant with god can get stale and so I think both practices are all three prayer which is like in a marriage people spending time with one another making some self sacrifices to show to myself how important this relationship is that it's worth the foregoing something for the sake of the importance of of this relationship so for some people it's for going that cocktail in the evening that glass of wine at that desert those are good things and certainly not just making arms but works of mercy to extend myself as an extension of my lord I know a lot of people who volunteer especially at soup kitchens in line these are great ways to be renewed in the relationship because the relationship is the real touchstone for what's going on you know the pope Francis apparently am I thinking this could you give me this and pope Francis in the words of pope Francis do you wanna fast this land well fast from hurting words and say kind words fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude fast from anger and be filled with patience fast from pessimism and be filled with hope and the list goes on from there positive actions to take and and you have suggested how about making the local pilgrimage today to the father salonist Casey center how about the shrine that would see a great great way to tulips are blind to that involves prayer and I think they get fathers said the capuchin friars are going to be smart enough to when you're there figure out how you can help them do their good works too so father salon this is a great figure here and southeast Michigan I actually have the tie in now is that I carry the scapula that admin TA he the eighty jewelers you were referring to the event that the admin TA he gave me the scapula of fathers salonist Casey I knew nothing about him twenty five years ago until I found out from the eighties and they still to this day because of miracles and such with Johnny he and some other stories have been so very supportive of the the same to it meanwhile you'll be doing a mass the and let's see and the twelve fifteen you'll be the celebrant and harmless at the twelve fifteen mass this afternoon at St Aloysius church one two three four Washington Boulevard that's about a block and a half north of Michigan Avenue in downtown Detroit and it's always special when people can come in there and see you do a special mass like this archbishop well I thanks for mentioning that Paul W. and we welcome all the people downtown to come for that that prayer and I need to start my own land it's not just helping other people and when we do it together we can do so much more we know that here in Detroit said post yourself easier Ash Wednesday for himself he's go to the hashtag hash tag which I love also at UTG Detroit and let's do that right now let's unleash the gospel archbishop vigneron and for those who would like to accepted I would ask for your blessing lord god this is a day of grace that you offer us give us the strength to seize it and not to be afraid but to move forward with you and may almighty god bless all the listeners almighty god father son and Holy Spirit amen god bless you and have a great ash Wednesday in a wonderful aunt and we look forward to our next conversation archbishop thank you so much thank you Paul W..

D. A. R. news are are very marks back with you it's a ninety two point three KTAR thanks for being here it's presidents day hopefully you're enjoying a wonderful day off because it's presidents day I thought we talk a little bit about the president's I just saw on the history channel there is a new it's a three part documentary on George Washington I've always been fascinated with George Washington I've read at least one biography in trying to revive read another one but he is this incredible figure in our history frankly almost in world history is one of the few leaders who was in a position to be in essence a king or a dictator or whatever you wanna call it and he said no and he did it twice he did it once when he was the general after the revolutionary war he simply step down he could have said we're taking over that happens in so many countries after revolution the leader though the military leader says I'm in charge now everybody get line he did not do that he stepped back he let the Congress Continental Congress step in he let his he let them have votes and continue with the with the Congress and then when they asked him to be the president he accepted that and then did something even more amazing he stepped down after two years creating the custom the norm in this country that presidents serve a two four year terms and then stepped down and that's amazing in itself that rarely happens you don't see people who have that level of power and then say no I'm going to I'm going to give that up do you really think about it in history where where do you see that before president Washington you really didn't see it at all so it's amazing but in our new society if you will well where it and there's a lot of good that comes from this by the way but we're in the with the me too movement in treating women in a better way and how we're treating African Americans and and minorities and doing different things the change in history now is interesting I I wrote a column today by a historian of female historians and she said that over some like the last forty years every history book written about George Washington was written by a white male and I read that and kind of got will discuss it is like why does that matter these are these are respected historians when their books come out people don't talk about it there the the that the historian is somehow racist or not giving a full picture and yet here we are now in twenty twenty where that's the important thing what is the sex what is the age what is the color of the historian of the writer who's doing this work and what she is saying is that oftentimes those male white male historians are glorifying Washington beyond what he deserves in history not not that he doesn't deserve what he did and as some of things I just said but leaving out or not they they they didn't leave it out because I've read these biographies button glossing over we're not focusing as much on the fact that Washington had sleeps which he did they you know everybody in history we learn the washing had slaves what he freed them upon his death but in reality he didn't free them upon his death he left them to his wife Martha Washington and Martha then freed them and she did that this is interesting she did that because George Washington's will was published at his desire he wanted to be he was treated ever released the slave never freed slaves during his lifetime he freed one slave but otherwise he did not free the slaves during his lifetime but then he published his will which said that they're going to be free after Martha Washington dies but isn't that a difficult place to put your wife right now you have a hundred plus slaves who all know they're going to be free when this is Washington passes away but they're still there with her in the meantime so she freed them all within about a year of George watches deaf she freed them up but the difference in in how we present our own history now is is very interesting you know there are if you go if you go to a to some of the battlegrounds of the revolutionary war there are there are people there their park Rangers to tell the stories and the what you hear now is it just the stories of of battles one battlefields are still intact you start to hear about identity politics and climate change Alexander Hamilton who was Washington's right hand man during the revolutionary war he's from New York if you go there to visit if you go there to visit his home of the house that he had in New York which is also a visitor center of thousands of people go there every year the park Rangers there editorialize that he that this Alexander Hamilton stashed his wife there so he could carry on with his mistress in his Wall Street home a separate apartment there there was if indicted two thousand sixteen in Philadelphia there were the in independence hall the the the park ranger there said that the founders knew that when they left this room created the constitution what they had written wouldn't matter much like what when did when did that happen so we're starting to see a change in politics strange in history now based on the current identity politics that we're all dealing with very.

"In cyber security risks ultimately the success of operations in the upcoming months will be directly tied to how the bureau continues to manage these risks madam chairwoman this concludes my statement thank you thank you very much thank you to all of the participants today and doctor telling him about this new report from G. A. R. we just heard is very troubling and just like the witnesses that we heard from all I guess it was last month this new report seems to be sending flashing red lights are warning that the census bureau simply is not ready for what's about to happen this important challenge before us congresswoman Carolyn Maloney poured in in the testimony we just heard GA they've they warned of an adequate recruitment and hiring missed target dates insufficient progress working with community partners and significant cyber security challenges and I could say the list goes on and on and on I want to give you a chance to respond I know GAO gave us gave you and gave us the report hello a week ago so why is the census bureau so far behind in so many aspects of the preparations across the board Mr telling him doctor Dillingham madam chairwoman this a very good question and let me say that on the point of view of the census bureau we are not behind and let me show you some charts we provided members with charts today as to where we are the first chart we have is the recruiting chart now the recruiting chart as pointed out by G. A. always based on self response rates we have three scenarios here now the what's being figures being cited which we did develop ourselves very ambitious goals the worst case scenario if our self response rate drops to fifty five percent which no one expects but if it did we would need we would want to point seven million people recruited from which we would hire about a half million people that is the worst case scenario the next scenario is the sixty point five percent and that's probably the more reasoned scenario in which case we would hire three hundred twenty thousand people now as of this morning we have two point three million completed applicants two and a half million that have started their applications and it's increasing about twenty thousand a day we will meet we will meet the worst scenario goal by the first week of March and then we're gonna surpassing there is no doubt we would lie we currently have a valid for applicants for every position we want five applicants we actually would like more so we're going to have those applicants in Seoul recruiting I that's the first thing I'll address what about the number of partners compared to the goal here let me show you let me show you ensuring woman on that our partners and and again we we supplied you with these figures here's where we are now we had a we had a straight line kinda as took we have very ambitious goals we set him up intentionally as being ambitious to make sure we get the job done but we're it I see the chart Dr building yes and I just want to point out that if we had been going on the red we would have had more preparation in place I only have a few minutes because we strict times where I wanna get a GAO to respond if I could answer but I think if we had hired we would have been in a better place right now you are catching up good but during this period that the out reach to the communities valiant stand it if you're a rule community or hard to reach community the most important thing is getting these partnerships because they're the ones who know the people they know how to get the count so I'd like GAO to respond if you could Mr men in your report you warned that the census bureau is and I picked a quote out quote faces significant risks that could adversely impacting cost quality schedule and security of the count in quote I want to know is that right and would you elaborate a little bit yes ma'am that is that is right in in on on to the points that that the director was just mentioning on that it is noteworthy in positive that the recording numbers are going up and that's exactly where we would want them to be and they are some ambitious targets but what to do what we've seen with census experience certainly into three or four of them that I've been responsible for assisting the Congress an oversight is that you can believe through your recruitment base very very quickly in it and you have not unexpectedly you have turned over and and in that and so the second part of that is that the the national numbers we focus on those obviously the bureau does as well but that's not as the director mentioned where the sentence is implemented it's implemented or local level and so the it's concerning for us that you have those two hundred of two hundred and forty eight local offices that haven't met their own targets on that because I on that point and I want to quote from your report you said you said the bureau is behind quote in his goal to recruit more than two point six billion applicants nationwide for upcoming operations and then your report said that two point one million applicants recruited as of February third twenty twenty falls short of the pure is larger target to reach more than two point five are those numbers correct and could you elaborate a little bit yes ma'am is it to me they were color correct as a director noted this is a very much a moving target with literally thousands of new applicants every day but as of even earlier this week if they were that they the correct numbers that we received from the census bureau okay you know and also you miss the minute you this quote I thinks is important because I think that one the most important part about the census is having these community partnership ma'am in place and your report finds you missed Anora milestones for establishing community partners is that right and how damaging is that and my time is expired after use respond yes ma'am it is it it is a concern because it's certainly an environment that we are now in now that did the larger cultural environment is that we need people to be encouraged to participate in the census too as you saw from the the other the director showed to to believe in the integrity of their data this is what partnerships do is that they are trusted voices in the community that can tell people you need to we need to participate to use the wi language we need to participate it's good for us good for the community and it'll be true and your your date will be protected that that's not something that can come out of Washington or Suitland Maryland that has to come from trusted local voices that's the importance of the partnerships thank you so much I now want to recognize the gentleman from Wisconsin Mister Rothman he's recognized for really six minutes because I talk for six minutes around my goodness recognize and thank all of you we all have the same goal to get an accurate count they're calling a follow on themselves Carolyn Maloney chair of the oversight and reform committee in the house a hearing from Wednesday Mr doing them first I want to be alone who were trying to come out here okay if I am a tourist who do we counted tourist we do not count towards okay if I am a college student who is here for six months to become a college student what we can't college students if they're living here at the time the census and also the six months is is a is a close call there as to how long they'll be living here okay well if I'm not if I live in if I am a if my parents live in pretend I'm eighteen again my parents live in Wisconsin I go to college in Illinois my caller ID Illinois Wisconsin the the methodology do with use for decades as we count where people are living so we actually count at the college campus okay so then how do we make sure than the person isn't counted in that case in in Wisconsin if the parents fill out the forms say Sonny's with me and somebody else is going around the college dorm at the university of Illinois how to make sure that the person icon twice Thompson is a very good question and we have very elaborate procedures and that's where one place where we really rely on our administrative data that sort of behind the scene where matching up so if there's a duplicate submission if the college student answers the census at the university or the college and then the parents maybe answers on their behalf back in the hometown we reconcile that and we we eliminate that and you'd be your conference you can do that yes we are but if somebody just goes somewhere to live with a buddy for a month we do ask the individual where they're living and we will you know probe as to where they're living and where they report is being living that's what we count them however I'm a tourist overstay my visa if you're a tourist and you tell us that you're here only temporarily as a tourist that's the information we have and also if you're from another country then we assume that to be correct okay but if I'm here eight just illegally and I should be leaving at what point is that somebody is comparable a congressman we count everyone wherever they're living okay so if I'm a diplomat in my countered congressman there are some very near exceptions that if you're living at a consulate then we don't count people that are actually on the consulate which is owned by the other country okay I'm gonna than not living in the kinds of how about a movie or town but we're gonna consonant station here for four months comes with the four months would probably if you're here on April the first and you answer that you're living here and in do not indicate when we ask the questions and I'm going to ask the person with the most experience here who actually overseas as as as but that that that is a question will we we probe further as to the length of time you're living here and in what capacity is kind of scary because we're not nailing this town go ahead Mr from Albert fun note is the census bureau associate director has asked where do you live our stay most of the time as of April first at our senses relies on soft operation so if the person says I love or stay at this address most of the time as a rare book first their account of that that address okay in most of the time could mean I'm I'm returning to France in a in a month but I should still put down that any US citizens and their most the time was the time when over the last week or last five years we we use a garden Arbor out six months okay so if I'm a diplomat who's here for six months in a day I'm supposed to be counted that's correct and is that clear on the form it is clear and the additional instructions to the four provide okay five online so this would drop down of emission it gives your detail on the top on information now actually how to answer the question I'm gonna ask you this it seems to me when cheating go aside of course what people are worried here is cheating in elections usually people there's at least the perception that people vote twice so that sort of thing what are you doing to make absolutely so certain it is somebody saying wants to say more people are living in the state that are that somebody is not filling out this form three times under three different names how do we know that's not happening we have our elaborate post collection de duplication processes which use administrative records prior census information are us data birth by there were only counting people one time this is not a unique and not paying any as we can and that any of the extra minute thank you if I am am somebody on a farm in California and somebody fills out the form for me and one day and John Smith and then I thought the form and Ted Jones and then I thought the form on on Billy Johnson how do we know all the somebody isn't sitting there cheating and filling out under three different names the census data were saved to other data we already have on that our population estimates other survey data and if there are abnormalities in the comparable to detect them at that time and then we actually will send someone out to verify those people so I don't have any personal physically gone if I do then I was going to be caught if I'm if I'm somebody wants to cheat if I'm somebody wants to say they're more people in such and such a county California than there are and I sit down and fill out the form under ten different names we send out a we set out on over to actually verify that you exist at that address everybody is going to get somebody to show up in count that person I mean if if I if I live in green bush Wisconsin is somebody eventually going to call me or no yes there there will be a person who looks at me and green bush Wisconsin your top five your data if your data is inconsistent well not inconsistent and inconsistent nothing inconsistent I'm saying I just sit there and fellow can forms of ten names that weren't in the United States ten years ago are you going to catch that yes that would be inconsistent data.

"You can also text the word Vegas to twenty one thousand as a V. E. G. A. S. two two one zero zero zero I interviewed author years ago on the show he wrote the book retirement break through the safe secure way to guaranteed income you can't outlive in anti a comic because we've been in a real crummy economy if you have a CD Hamley correct I mean I've I member my grandma's in my I can't use it back in the day in New England they would live off their interest they want the money in a CD and get fifteen percent interest year one even haven't touched that principle well when that economy that was the interest rates were rolling so they were doing fine but then it we had a transformation hello when it really started here maybe let's say let's say two thousand five interest rates started can be down in the market collapse of two thousand seven we all know what happened there history of the that the years of the seven eight percent interest rate on the CD died then and so if you were trying to live off interest it was impossible to then you had to put your money in the market right before the market Creston I say you had to because that's what your broker told you but the really are alternatives the first thing to do is figure out how much money you'll need every time and how much you want how much money do you want to have fun things yeah and make sure you can convert some your money from taxable in a tax free and protect your savings from the calamities that could happen in the market so you don't put money you're going to need for retirement tied to the market they could go away and there are solutions called income planning got buckets strategies but for anyone who's who's struggling to make to make ends meet or or to see what's going to happen the future or not sure what kind of fees are paying we'll do analysis for it's called a strategic development process and if you haven't had this done for your financial portfolio there's what we'll do we'll review your tax returns to uncover long term tax issues like I raise capital gains a social security taxes or paying a lot of money in taxes welcome to help you by establishing your retirement income goals money needed to cover the cost of enjoying your lifestyle Marty I know when you talk to be we ask them what they want to DO retirement that's fun right build a plan to make sure that has money for that right and that's one of our biggest goals and I've made a note there when you were talking about it so with the money that we want and the money that we need to what our goal was trying to get this to to figure because the with possibly families other ten and one of the ways we do this is when this is this is the end time intensive process but we do this all behind the scenes for you we analyze your current investments to establish the real cost and fees and a calculated risk exposure level and Thomas that you would not believe how much risk before taking a don't realize it really been pretty lucky it's almost like when you fall asleep at the wheel the car you wake up you're still driving you're still safe right right I mean I think a lot of risk it'd realize so yeah I was about to say so they're not even realizing yeah that's that's the scary part that's the most embarrassing part yeah and the financial world and anyone who do who ask clients in places that quite don't realize how much risk your fees are paying should be ashamed of themselves right but will help identify that if it if it does come to the point where you are paying too much for taking too much risk it didn't realize that start a fire that advise we get a new one there you go we also help you by determining the percentage of assets needed to protect future income needs we call this income planning and buckets strategies we also consider taxes and inflation those are two big enemies we need to identify ahead of time so we can counteract their harmful affects us right we do all this to make sure you have a plan that you can explain back your family we call it the family goals and longevity estate planning will offer that for the next twenty callers this is a two thousand dollar value when you could all the things we're putting as well as the three books at the death of three of my books you can choose the books that I've written and I'll sign I'm all for you if you want the next twenty dollars right now finally someone's offering retirees and pre retirees common sense and straight talk there's a lot of financial double talk and retirement sales pitch is out there and here's the thing is we need to get around those sit down with the truth the do Shiri retirement planner and get.

"Seven you'll see G. A. L. I. so we're just going to use the next few minutes I know we're not gonna talk about football I love talk about football but I got to give you guys an update on the corona virus I don't want people then again it is serious and serious stuff but you know I want to tell you piece by piece of the pieces were getting are we getting all the pieces are we getting the true story we don't know but the pieces that we're getting I will convey those pieces so death toll is now a two hundred thirteen I'm pretty scary in the one month's time we are talking thirty thirty one days since the outbreak happened already had two hundred thirteen gas over ninety five hundred cases were almost a ten thousand cases this is a larger number of cases then the sars outbreak that we had a two thousand to two thousand three but let's step thank god that outbreak I believe was from November two thousand to two July two thousand three I need to double check the dates but that's bad about six seven months killed over seven hundred seventy four people we're already at two hundred thirteen people in a month so it is it's very very scary the World Health Organization yesterday finally declared this a global health emergency for Askin why did it take so long ads because again they have to and they they said that they kind of have to wait dole was out out of China you know we had five cases in the US we haven't heard of any new cases yet to in California one Arizona one of Washington state one Chicago I'm the one in I believe Chicago transfer from husband to wife maybe we have six case I need to double check that but the World Health Organization kind of have to wait until it's affected the world it could just be in the one country and only what does it mean when they declared a global health emergency well it means that they could get money they could get political you know support and we they kind of need you know whenever we have an outbreak if it's just a one country thing the other countries don't seem to get involved with the World Health Organization those guys okay you know this is a global health emergency then it starts to put things on balancer puts things on the on the when you have a meeting and you have things all my gosh I can't even think of the term the agenda okay so now people I've talk countries have to figure out what they're gonna do Eric and airlines and Delta stand I think the pilots union suit but American Airlines is now canceling all flights in China delta the same from what I understand the last flights out of going to be I think this weekend it all depends on the airline this is kind of an involving story but flights to China are going to be stopped out of those two carriers will hear more about the other carriers in fact I believe one of the airlines there's not gonna be any flights to China till April so airlines is trying to take action this World Health Organization kind of label of this being a global health emergency kind of allows companies to take more aggressive action which I believe we kind of needs to be done at this point because we already have two hundred thirteen deaths and this is going very very quickly the problem though is we also don't want you to panic this is something that can easily put us all into a global recession you know chive China's economy gets hurt and you know they're tourism there you know exports imports things like that you know it could really have a domino effect and so we don't want people to panic and start ludi in and you know committing suicide on my gosh I think you know I got the Sniffles I think of coronavirus we need everybody to kind of take a deep breath but we also need people to realize that this isn't a little cold okay you know this is a serious threat and one of the reasons why I am on the side of this being pretty serious is because nobody's really kind of telling us why this started I don't know if I really by this whole back to snake to human sort of jump it happens you know corona virus to be very highly beautiful to very smart virus things happen all the time you know and in other you know other countries you have access to animals that we might not you know in the states and they might not have the sanitation methods but you know I don't know you know when it is really sad and we think this came from a lab next door you know a leak I'd like those answers out of like those answers because then we could study it more soul we now are whenever there's an outbreak like this you have panic whenever there's panic this stupid so what's the stupid that's going on right now well now online in a social media there's fake so people are telling fei coronavirus Kerr they know if you want to buy anything they'll do anything you don't want to talk about masks so I'm afraid to show you this is a box I got I believe during the last sars we talked about mass these masks do not pretend to guess coronavirus people don't wear them correctly you know I mean when they put them on you know I it's it's I mean maybe it'll help not get somebody spit on you but once he's get wet it could still transmit disease these things are selling for like six hundred Bucks a box all right they're sold out in so many countries so many states and that's kind of stupid because if you use them now too early before really hits the United States then what do you have one the pope really hits the fan so these things are now going to be on back order and and you know we need to really be careful about how people are approaching this that being said this corona virus is a new virus it's a little unpredictable and it's unpredictable because were being given information that might not be useful to wonder thirteen people died who died where the kids where are they adults healthy adults where the vulnerable and now one epidemiologists out of Great Britain so the majority of them were sickly an elderly we need that information because maybe we need to you know what we do to precautions make sure are vulnerable populations are more protected by you know would like to know that sort of information and we're not getting that they're not telling us was not you know is that the average you know twenty two year old college student who's living in the dorms getting this or is it somebody with diabetes are these corner called elderly individuals are they diabetics are the COPD or are they all from a respiratory.

reasons and it's been happening over a period of time this wasn't job last year or years ago or because Donald Trump was a like it now this is something that has been building for quite some time yeah we've seen the the trickle effect if you will from a variety of things one of the things is that we know in Arizona and then specifically Maricopa county is one of the fastest growing counties states and counties in the United States people are moving here from all over and the idea that the people moving here are all monolithic Lee of one sort of political it is not true and as a matter of fact many of the people moving here are already purple if you will are already moderates of some form slightly left slightly right whatever it might be and that that has a dilution affect yeah we also have in you hear this this conversation quite a bit a lot of folks from California leaving California lots of tax is holding out in the morning right and when you think of California do you think there are liberal or do you think they're conservative no well I think it depends on where they're coming from AS boast yeah I know city verses role and so on so forth but we look at California as a whole easy you look at it you go it's a liberal centre in they bring their politics with correct exactly so that so the fact that Arizona's growing is nothing new we've been calling for quite some time but that that's kind of like the the boiling frog you know the frog that's in the boiling water doesn't know that it's being boil because it happened over a short essay long period of time what's happening there like that we also have couple of other things at play here you've got a lot of you have a bigger Hispanic population here in the state of Arizona the percentage continues to grow right exactly and and you have a lot of young adults that are now becoming the age where they can vote god is still very going to have an impact on the state as well without a doubt in and and politically they are not in line with where the Republican Party is these days so you can see where that has a again I use the term dilution affect it but yeah I mean like even in the last election you you look at and and twenty eighteen you look at the mid terms and you see like a fall and you know participation not as many people participate but you saw that the participation with Hispanics in the mid term just a little bit just just a little bit not that huge fall that we typically see it just dipped soul lightly below the twenty sixteen election which had which was sort of funds of interests exactly here here something that and and when you think about it like this said that traditionally and for decades Arizona with disproportionately when you took a look at the country disproportionately had an older demographic that the we were a place for people him to retire you know we we we can make fun of the money the Sun City see anthems or what not and then the go we see the the people here with the Minnesota license plates you know they think that they got out of the cold became to Arizona if you will and so when you looked at it you have an older and wider populous than the national average and that tended to lean more to the right tended to lean more towards Republicans well that older vote isn't what it once was for a variety of reasons and it's not necessarily people aren't coming here retiring still it's that they're being offset by an at least balance by the people moving here who are younger not coming here to retire coming here to work and start a family insider I think this is awesome I think it's great that Arizona is purple it and hear me out here for a second it's not because I think the traditional conservative Republican stance that the state has had as bad I I don't believe that at all what I feel is so awesome about what's happening right now is that both sides have to fight for your vote yeah whether you are on the left or whether you were on the right somebody has to talk to you and fight for you it's no longer a foregone conclusion right and so now you're having to work for it and I think what people have to work for it we all benefit no matter which side you're I mean are you an example of that is senator cinema who obviously appealed to people across party lines we saw that which is why governor do see one as an RN she won as a V. that some people split their vote like a lot of people and and and you could argue that senator.

"Calling regarding a racing problem our dilemma and he has called several roofing company and they are with either islands Corrine areas and the G. A. F. system but across the board what I'm finding and I don't know if this is the ordinary protocol is that before they you want to give you any part of that demand they want you to consent to they're not calling it a contract which is the consent for them to give you what the insurance is going to pay and then they want to be able to talk to your insurance company now this is a very old home I come in here today I'm just kind of learning different aspects of it right that's a concern for me because I don't feel like I want to give them complete control of this project especially if there's going to be additional work that needs to be done and maybe I don't want them to do additional work like I know like and they need new socks and that's the second part of the question is I had someone come out that they advise who will do the painting every place soffit and they actually want to do their part first and cut into the day and then have the roof people com who probably are not going to replace it thank you and the the right so those are those are my two questions and are concerned can you assist me with that sure you know first of all the reason most of them are wanting to talk with the insurance company the judge if this is an insurance claim adjusters a lot of times miss things and so by having your roof for talk with the adjuster who comes out and looks at the roof they're able to iron out what all needs to be done to the roof now it can be done another the other way where you get a price from the roofer then the roof first get started on the on the roof any has to go back for supplement from the insurance company by having the roofer and the insurance company in contact with it with each other had a time it saves time on going back after that supplement because they're able iron out most everything up front and so that's reason most of them do that in roofing is kind of a different animal when it comes to construction in that most of the pricing is dictated by the insurance companies because a lot of the work that's done is insurance claims not all of it I mean there's a lot of people have to replace the roof simply because it ages out in its it's time more has to be replaced where it starts leaking and stuff and that's not an insurance claim but in general most of the prices are set by the insurance companies are and so it's just makes it easier and faster for their jobs to run that way also if you're having to DO soffits and things like that you know sometimes some of that can be because because the roof damage happened and sometimes they can help you get some of that covered by insurance as well so there are reasons why they want to do it is far as mixing the two contractors together of you know a lot of times the roofers can take care of the soffit boards and all that at the same time that they're doing the roof if you want to use another contractor there's absolutely nothing wrong with that just make sure you coordinate so that the roofer is coming in right after facial boards and soffit boards and all that had been replaced because you don't want to do it opposite if you do the roof first and they need to do facial boards now they got to get into the drip edge and things like that that can be damage and is tucked up under these the shingles right so that should they wear their profit is which is under the banking and the shingles should they be cutting into those several layers to which one I believe is a top layers of the day yeah I'm not sure why if they're replacing soffits why they're worried about getting into the roofing deck as they should unless there are some bad log roof choice or something the rafters by they really shouldn't be having to mess with the roof deck at all okay that that was what I was thinking so that answers that question and I have one more foundation all and should you or.
