"But then there's like that underlying element of humility and self realization. You know it's good. It's fun yeah the Bengals really got. They got lucky and They are all this conversations last couple of weeks. Could the dolphins make a play like we said all along? Yeah maybe they would want to but the Cincinnati would have to move out of that spot. They'd have to be willing to move out of that spot. And this year burrows the consensus top guy agree speaking of while. I don't even know consensus. There's no consensus on the top guy here but anyway The Tampa Bay Buccaneers of Lord Rob Gronkowski out of retirement teaming. The future hall fame tight end with Tom. Brady for one last run Tight end was not a weak spot. For the buccaneers. They spent a first round pick of the position just a few years ago. Still many are heralding this as another stepping stone on the path to championship Jenny. Do you concur. Well what could go wrong? Connor lots of stars assembling on one team. Like there's absolutely no way for the single righ- I will say a do think there's a pretty good chance like despite the fact that Gronkowski lost all that weight and whatever I mean. I think there's a pretty good chance he's comes back and it's pretty good this year like it was one year off. He let his body refresh So I it's interesting. I could see why New England fans seem to take this almost harder than brady because it wasn't like okay. Brady's ready for a fresh start. Gronkowski saying I was retired if I had to stay with New England but now that I have an opportunity to go else I am no longer retired. It was interesting to me that Gronkowski remember head that sort of media blitz immediately upon retirement because he started working with the CBD company CD Oil Company and there are some pretty revelatory things about his personal health. That came out during that time You know he went months without sleeping. You know he was after they won. The super bowl sat up all night crying and he didn't understand why and you know to me that's like it's a a quick turnaround you know just to take the season off and then say okay. I'm ready to jump back into you know and you never WANNA criticize. Somebody's personal choice. But it's interesting that like we're already here you know where he's back and yes he's only thirty one and he's got time but there seemed to be a really big emphasis on the toll that the game took on his body right after he retired To all of a sudden bring this back now and just say that everything is fine and that you feel safe and healthy playing the game. That's interesting connor. That's a good point that some of the comments that he made were pretty striking jarring and sad and a reminder of the great bird and the game takes. I think it's probably true. Just based on his comments not only is he in a better physical place but he's probably in a better place in terms of mental health too and so that break to have helped him in both fronts and But yeah definitely as far as if this automatically makes the buccaneers a contender. Like I'm definitely intrigued to see what happens. But there's no way of knowing for sure right in I in theory right. It's it makes sense but this is what we do this time of year like last year. I was thinking. Oh del Beckham with a stretch. Field quarterback in a secondary target Like Jarvis Landry to take defenders away from this is a no brainer but when these super teams start to formulate the. It's almost like we. We forget how easily things can just come crashing down and we assume that everybody's going to perform optimally and everything's going to work and I don't know I I just I. I don't yes in theory having Chris Godwin and Mike Evans to take defenders away from cousy and to give Brady. That familiarity seems great. But I don't know I mean we don't know how much weight he's going to be able to gain back as he can be as effective of a blocker as he was in New England which was a huge part of his game. I don't know you know and I think it's okay to just be like. Hey you know. Maybe it'll work out and maybe it won't. Yeah and if you were to say that. The buccaneers are automatically going to have instant success. Then you would essentially also be saying that the Patriots Organization and assist them and the culture and Bill Belichick. Don't have that big of an impact that you can just take Brady and Gronkowski out of that environment and put someone put them elsewhere and they can be just as successful which I think is a fair projection to make either. So that's why I'm re reserved and my expectation for the buccaneers this year. I think it's interesting that Jason Light has done some good things in Tampa You know and perhaps that you know there's always a business element to some of these things but for someone who has in the past you know spent second round pick on a kicker who's no longer there and you know has missed on some other guys and now is assembling this thing. I mean boy. That's a big risk and I guess you know there's were Bruce Arians always says there's no risk it no biscuit right but at the same time. It's like wow. I mean he's had the leeway to make some pretty significant roster decisions and leaning in this direction when the rest of the division is still really good and you know. You're making a lot of sacrifices for for building around Tom Brady. It's like wow I mean this is. You're going all in here. Yeah maybe they'll trade up for a tackle too so I mean there's just a lot of They're definitely going all in connor. That's definitely what's going on. In Tampa sports and scandals. What more could you ask for every week on Hall of Shame? A new podcast from Crooked Media Fox sports hosting comic Rachel Bonita and Comedy Writer Retina truck bomb take each other through some of the biggest scandals in sports history to discover the humanity behind the headlines from the thrill of Dhaka says no hitter to the agony of Rosie Ruiz's marathon lies they get to the bottom of what happened why these stories matter and how they're still relevant today..

"So Durant sat down with thirty eight fourteen twenty three three three seven eight from the line, four boards seven times a steel and a huge blocks shot Curry's twenty one, and that's really all that matters. Iggy had fifteen looney double figures, ten points clay at twelve green eight and six rebounds, ten times for green a steel in two blocks another night of you know, green just getting it all done. You don't even notice him racking up, the rebounds and dimes the these guys like Durant and Curry's going you don't notice all the word green does all the dirty work. Work. So there you go. I was looking at this story the argument against all these title contenders. What's wrong with them? And here's a day said about it. I saw this in Bleacher report or something the Saudis have poor chemistry. Yeah, they look like dad park chemistry in that two game. Sweep of the Pacers in Boston the first game that series, the nuggets lag of seasoning. It says here what is that like some kind of a dinner joke? What does that mean playoff seasoning? They don't have enough success in the both. The warriors are too top heavy is where does this come up with? Come on. I can't even do this. I mean serious, again, even what did they say about the bucks? It says wanna get somebody else bad. At least have somebody else on the bad list up there. What's the bucks weakness? It says they're dying by the three. Wow. Three point this week. But they are one of eight different teams to finish in the time. Ten three point makes it's just that they ranked dead last in opponents three point makes and attempts surrendering wide open threes where than anyone sounds like a lot of charts and graphs to me. We'll see what happens on the court. James harden continues torrid streak is the rockets route the jazz again in Houston. They took both games in Houston. Are you willing to go there at all that the rockets are the team won't they play the warriors in the next round? They will do you think they could beat them. No. I think they have shot. I do not. Nobody has a shot. Nobody has a shot at all. Precisely mafia. I think the rockets have shot against the warriors. I think they definitely have shot. Do I think it's tight shot is not exactly great shot. It's like, I'm you know, it's a fifty fifty series or anything like that. I'll say. Thirty percent chance as long as hard in those guys stay healthy is a big thing. CPA threes gotta be healthy meal series harms. Gotta do is thing with the Bala with boogie out. I know that we're looking at you think about him as score pretty much. That's it. But his presen- there defensively is imposing a lot of people are think they're bigs are going to be able to do lot more against bogut, looney marine and Verena Cabello gonna do whatever they want against you know, that defense. Yeah. There are a lot more logic than those looney. They do they can do damage. I really believe that. And of course, you know, all we think about is CB three and hard on that team because they do most of the scoring. But both those guys are great at also driving and dishing to the big men or doing the pick and roll. There's no doubt. I mean, they're dangerous team. They certainly think that they can beat them. I mean, they're talking big now already, right? Great success in the regular season against them. They did. And Dan Tony's been saying it now to did he not just say that we can. Beat anybody. And literally said we're the best team, then we can beat anybody. He did. That's what Dan Tony said about every coach tells their team that we anybody not that team any given day. Right. I think they can beat anybody. I actually think and they prove they can beat the warriors this year in even in oracle regular season. It means nothing zero. So it's just all giant waste of time. When you really get down to it. The only reason why we're here for all these games is to gamble. I mean, that's all that's all. We're here for. So Josh Rosen, and there's a lot of people now getting into talk about the situation with him in Arizona. He's broken silence. He did an SI TV interview. And. It was during a trip he took with some friends of his and teammates UCLA's that right? That went to the Grand Canyon. Of that a nice time. He has remained quiet about his future. But now he's been talking. I think the best advice I've ever gotten in my life from so many people's control, you can control and whatever decisions are made. It's my duty to prove them. Right. If they keep me prove them wrong, if they shipped me off, I think probably I think the season probably winters, Portland Bosley, go. But within that, I had an unbelievable I think when people talk about like, you can't listen to criticism or you can't read articles. You have to be aware of what's going on to a certain extent. I definitely understand the situation. It's annoying. But it is what it is football's a business, and I respect the higher ups in their decisions. We wanted three games in Egypt. Does winds to me felt like the Super Bowl we had one it and that feeling is so getting and that's why I just went out the mortar it'd be part of a team next year and have the same opportunities to go out and compete. Have you ever felt like that guy cared about football when he was at UCLA? Now, he's claiming that he suddenly has a rush from a winning three games in the NFL that it's intoxicating. He seemed like he was bored with football to me in Westwood. And at the Rose Bowl. He never looked into it to me. And now like he didn't even look into it to me, and the NFL seemed like he's bored with the whole thing. Are you willing to say that I might have something he has never looked to me like he gives a rat's ass and that was one of the biggest knocks on him going into the draft last year. Was he looked like a kid that didn't care about football that it didn't really matter to him that it was secondary? And look I think that honestly the kid can play. Obviously it didn't look great this year. It's partially. You know? Who he played for? I also think it's wrong. What's going on with him? Now. I really do. We talk about this all the time. How these kids get drafted in the first round some of them get thrown into the mix a little too quickly. You know, they you need. Sometimes these guys are going to take a couple of years before they're at the top of their game guy kid plays one year. And then you know, first off season in the NFL. It's will there get rid of him and they're going to draft this guy. Instead, I mean what's going through the never happened before ever in the history since the seventy merger where a number one draft. Pick got traded the next year right from the team that drafted him number one. I don't care how bad he looked at times with that team which was awful this year giving up on him after one season is just I think I've said it the whole time. I think it's ludicrous. I think they're stupid if they trade Rosen and take berry with the first pick overall. I think they're dumb. Have you heard these rumors that the team that wants him? Is the chargers I could see that rivers can't play forever. So the day wanna get him. So that when rivers is done, he's the man all these teams that guy wants to go stand on the sideline now. It'd be a backup. I think he'd be just fine with it for. Here's the thing. All these teams that have had quarterbacks for a long time guys not done in one year. None of them are have been in the position to get a top ten talent. Like Josh Rosen. The patriots the chargers the giants giants all those all those. I'm talking for your elite quarterback slash the saints. You know, Brees rivers Brady all those guys. Now, you have a chance to get a guy that just went in the first round year ago, and you could get them for even if it's a second hand on the dollar, and then you have the heir-apparent to possibly to a guy that owned maybe has a couple years left. But you. Josh Rosen a year with Phil rivers or with Tom Brady or with drew Brees or any of these guys. Like that wouldn't be great for think d think rivers is done in one year. Okay. Two three. How many how many years Mavi? Thank Philip rivers has left. Enter. Two. Your realize came in the same time has been talking about for two years about Big Ben possibly being done about alike, those guys role in the same draft. He's the same age as those guys he's performed better than them the last year or two probably a big mess perform well throughout the last two seasons. But you lies been trail and he's late thirties. With those guys we saw with manning. We've seen it with other guys. It can all of a sudden just go, right? Well, I don't know. I feel like he's got my guess is. He's got four seasons left at him. That's that's what I think he could play for more years. How old is he thirty six if you play four more years that's not a deal that I would make I would make a deal if I'm the page guide look to you. I'm just asking being honest, seriously, thirty seven thirty seven. All right. So one during the season. Fine. Tom Brady's one hundred and he still plays. Like, he's thirty Brady's sheen. Okay. We'll sodas Philip rivers. I think Philip rivers is that guys. Toughest anyone in the league is he not he's a bad off. But I don't think that when he's forty one forty plays. Do you think he is taking so much abuse Philip rivers that he can't keep playing because he looks like Ben Rothlisberger to me has taken a lot of abuse cigarettes. I don't feel kinda shot. I don't feel that way about Philip rivers rivers only saw through this season. Trust me, you if you think that they're getting rid of Philip rivers in Los Angeles after this season, you must be tripping like seriously, you don't think he's playing for three years, or at least who I said four you guys say to you. They're going to pick back up another year or two I'm sure they will. You're sure you have no doubt. I don't see any reason why they would stop playing Philip rivers for for any reason whatsoever. Maybe the best quarterbacks in the league. Maybe he doesn't like the move to LA. I think he's a da- pted as an aide to that whole nightmare guy drives back and forth to San Diego every day. I mean, put in some kinda crazy like he's driving like some conversion van with a bunch of videos. Video video though, there is you gotta drivers. Baseball team. No one's gonna take care of another kid. He's got nine. Now. He just had another baby number nine his wife. She's a machine woman, she's incredibly their way. I think the key would be a good spot. If you sat for a couple years behind a future hall fame quarterback and get himself ready because I think he could play in the league, I think he was thrown into a bad spot this year. And now, they're screwing with them out there making it even worse. There's no doubt about that..

"And plugging in spot, depending on what you select it what you feel about a skill set because the defense side of bond issues draft is a lot of good players. Down the draft you can find value pick. But I I'm sure they'll be a little bit active in free agency, not at a big number. But guys that make sense in fit for what they wanna do that that spot in in the at safety or the two spots that seems because they're not going to the tag, tag, lamarcus Joyner. They tagged. Anybody this time around they didn't spend that that money. So they're not gonna do that. They're going to need a line cord Littleton is their guy in the middle. Joining to walk. Always can he can go shop around. Yeah. Yeah. He can go. See maybe we'll bring him back into the sign him. But those are the two spots you going to the draft. If you're the Rams are those the two because you look at the offense of side, you probably gonna want to draft an offensive lineman or two you're probably going to at at beyond that an offense. It feels like you're kind of set in less. The girly thing is an issue. And you gotta look at that spot. See here's where you get strong at do you go kick the tires on a Earl Thomas, what's that number going to cost? You you're going to snatch him you're going to get all the trade secrets from Seattle. He's not happy with Seattle. He's gonna give you all those secrets is. He still Earl Thomas ac- of his games ball. And he was he was a great all pro level. Tweet got hurt. He got hurt. I know. Yeah. But he's he's a little again. The league isn't Maytham little guy sold way, he's reckless and abandoned with his body which he's been for a long time as a hell of a player potential future hall. Fame type player that. He's only going to be good for a couple more years. So that number you may say works for you. And what you wanna do. Or do you kick the tires? Landon Collins from the giants that they walk out the door. They may cost you a little bit more money. But is he the type of safety that you look for because he's not a covered now guy. He's an in the box guy that that likes to get down and dirty John a cover guy. So maybe maybe they say, okay, I'll fill by there. So they've got some options. What about a corner because you look I mean, obviously got Peterson to leave after corner. Is that what you do you go in and draft that spot because you know, on eaters, you're you're gonna have to pay him or not? Yeah. I gotta replace to Lebed. Oh my gosh. Exactly to leave. Because even though you got to replace Peters. A lot of people aren't see Peters is go come with a lot of negativity. Even though as not negatively, they go make negatively, and they're not people aren't gonna want to pay him top dollar because they're gonna try to they try to, you know, discounting based on what people deem as bad behavior, which is nothing they going to just do it because that's just what this league does. But I would certainly look the draft a guy as my third corner in learn watching to leave in Peter's, they went to leave finally leaves you slide him into that role. Yeah. If this this off season is going to be far more incremental than it was last last season. They they hit the detonator. I mean, they changed that defense. They went out and got to leave in Peter's, ensue and Fowler. I mean, those are four really big names. Those are four guys that are giant difference makers. And they want this year. It feels like it's going to be far more subtle a tweak. Maybe it's safety tweet. Maybe at Barron spot, and then an offense it feels other than I mean center you're going to have to go out again..
