"But as you said Victoria kind of an interesting choice because he was wanted It was George Lucas says. I want you in the film you can play make you and choose your old Chewbacca. So who plays Chewbacca? Another big guy's famous The guy who died right just died earlier this year or last year. He was back and all the movies up to Force awakens. I want to say and a new guy, and then they dedicated. I think to him didn't they wanted the final The last movie And the guy who played R two d two noses, aren't you? What's no see three Peel. Little guy was named Anthony Daniels. He died a couple of months ago as well. So the Star Wars people are Peter Mayhew is Chewbacca. Peter, May You OK? All right. Yeah, Yeah, yeah. Saved by the Bell, the reboot creators apologizing for a number of jokes. In the new Syriza about Selena Gomez, his kidney transplant, So you guys gonna have toe go through this one? I grew up on saved by the bell, and they just brought it back for a reboot. And there's now a next generation. They made three separate jokes about Selena Gomez is kidney transplant, and then there's a in one of the scenes written in graffiti behind the students on the wall, it said. As Selena even have a kidney, and I don't know what they're being was with Selena Gomez, who has like 140 million instagram followers. That was not really that smart. It just I don't know. It didn't really make sense why they chose to go after something like that, with all the stupid celebrity scandals out there. This was this was this was a life or death surgery that she had, so I don't get it. But her fans were not having it. They was a threatened to basically blow up this whole show. So they made the show made a donation to her Lupus research Foundation. But still, I mean, it's you know, really. Here's another warning. The check your resume settings before you go to the bathroom lady that lives where Victoria does in Jersey, once said she was disgusted. By LGBT Q Curriculum flushed her career on a school board down the toilet this week by broadcasting her bathroom break on zoom. During a public meeting of the school board, Francisco Jelly eyes that are you brought your Navy gorges? A I guess. Yeah, this woman was not that popular to begin with. She took the laptop into the bathroom with her Everyone 140 people saw what she did on the toilet. So that's the end. Who was the last guy? She was on? Mute or what? Yeah. She thought the camera was off and she was on mute. So what one didn't was who was that? They had their ears. Assume gonna take down the guy that was masturbating. Who was that? Jeffrey Toobin. And I I didn't know. I don't know how many of you knew who the movie was so popular. I loved I always loved what's his face? He was such He was so crazy. Um, well, the whole cast was amazing. Yeah, but, you know, I'm talking about Rodney Dangerfield. Red danger. Yeah, he played the well. It was a story that came out of Um, Daniel Daniel. Why am I losing all these names? Okay, I'll tell the story because we don't want E Bill Murray Brother Bill Murray's oldest brother, Ed, What happened was a tragedy. Yeah, Yeah. He was a caddy at ago Local Golf club when they were growing up, And so when Bill Murray wrote Caddyshack, the character Danny, who's the Caddy, he was based on Ed. Yeah, I got it. Okay. Okay. Front liners air getting it the English are apparently approving the vaccine. And the Canadians are like today or tomorrow or something so that they get their shots right away. I don't understand why we're waiting until the 10th The everybody knows what's in this stuff. So they're waiting. The FDA here's waiting until the 10th and they've announced their wedding to the 10th. What the hell are they waiting for? All the doctors in front running approval. I guess we'll take but Then they say, it's getting rolled out right away. I don't right Yeah, No, they know it's really mine first, and then I think teachers and all that so well, I'm actually I'm in the second wave. I was told by Dr Ken Anyway, I'll have mined the first tour. Second week of January. So it's Z. And then there's this whole business about how to transport it from. Belle knew. See that United has been hired to bring this stuff over and they have Been given permission to carry a whole bunch of of dry ice, because apparently that could be toxic. Give you so they're just putting. They're just doing their doing an empty plane. Chartered a plane just to bring the vaccine over from Belgium in Newark isn't that makes me really the visor one. It makes me really nervous. It needs to be stored it negative 94 degrees. So like, if you and you can only get it at the hospital because only hospitals have refrigeration like that. But they're trusting ups and FedEx and you know United Airlines to be transporting the virus everywhere, but are the vaccine But what happens if it's like if it sits out a little too long? And then or what happens if you go to the hospital, right? And then what happens if you go to the hospital and you get the vaccine, But the nurse, let's sit. Let's little vial sit. I think we're gonna be so like how we're going to be so careful with this the way that it's been anticipated and Knowing all the precautions. I can't imagine that people are going to try try their best to screw this up. But like you know when, But when you get like we did a story last week about UPS is upping their production of dry ice. It just It just feels like there are a lot of middle men in the transport of this and it feels like there are ebbs. And if you get the vaccine, how do you know it's working? Unless, well, you know you quite well. If you feel sick the next day, you'll know it's working, right? You're gonna feel sick when you get there. That's one of the things the reservations, but I'm convinced As much as lot, my pal Jack Stockwell will not like it. I'm gonna have I'm going to get to that. But then you have to get the second one and then potentially a third booster. Mm hmm. I only heard about you actually will the fighter When I saw the over the weekend, they said you might need a booster after the two shots. So at what point? Are you actually immune? Not till you had at least the second shot. First shot will take months away. Okay? Better than not, though. I mean, what's the deal? I'm just I'm just concerned that it's going to give vulnerable people a false sense of security. And then then we could make the problem. Worse stuff. Well, the thing to do or not to do you one of the things you're going to ask when you get it down to whether or not the type of shot you're getting has mercury in it. They've got to tell you. Some of the shots are gonna have mercury. Kind of like some of the cheap flu shots. You don't want mercury in it. You must not take mercury must not have mercury or how do we know if it's in it?.

Goldman Sachs on S&P 500, Model Y Range, Tesla Police Vehicle

"Everybody rob our here today. We were talking about tessa. Stock and the s. and p. five hundred inclusion process. We have an updated note from goldman. Sachs talking a little bit about funds that may need to purchase tesla. We also have some news on the model y and then a recently published study by the fremont police department on using tesla as a police vehicle. All right so i up on the stock tussles. Green streak has come to an end finishing down one point nine three percent today to four hundred eighty nine dollars. Sixty one cents that compared to the nasdaq down zero point four percent and two again quickly. Check on the volume. As we've been doing for the last few days it was quite a bit lower today. Only about thirty two million shares traded hands. That was the two hundred and first highest volume rank day for the last year. So very low. That's out of about two hundred and fifty trading days was actually even below the one month average of thirty three million shares and well below the three month and twelve month averages around sixty million shares debt. If you're curious why. I keep talking about volume. It's because i anticipate a lot of shares needing to be purchased. So i do want to keep an eye on volume as we head into the snp inclusion. I do expect most of the related buying four. That will happen around inclusion. But who knows how much for there's going to be so i think if we see a lot of really heavy volume heading into that that might indicate a little bit more front running. So it's not normally something i watched super closely and i'm definitely not a technical analysis based investor. But just something. I'm kind of finding interesting for less period time. Quick related note next week. Is the week of thanksgiving. So the nasdaq will be closed on thursday november twenty. Sixth all day and then on friday the twenty seventh. We closed early so reopened until one pm eastern time. As for my schedule. I'll probably take thursday off and potentially friday. We'll see on that. But hopefully the seven episodes that. I put out this week as well as two interviews that i did the most recent of which is on the talking tesla podcast. By the way we'll make up for that next week. Okay so we've got a bit of an update here on the s. and p. five hundred situation a new note from goldman sachs. Has shed a little bit of light. On that. portion of funds that is benchmarked to the s. and p. five hundred remember. This is the portion of funds that their compensation is impacted based on the relative performance to the performance of the s. and p. five hundred versus the tracking funds. They're literally trying to replicate the performance of the s. and p. five hundred identically. So if we look at our little spreadsheet here that we've looked at many times based on today's closing price for the s&p five hundred and four tesla. It looks like the waiting would be about one point two five percent for tesla and the s&p index so the p last update. They gave us said that there was about four point. Six trillion in assets tracking the index. Saw one point two six percent of that should be allocated to tesla shares. That's about fifty eight billion dollars. Almost one hundred nineteen million shares and then additionally there is six point six trillion in benchmarked assets. So that's what we're talking about here with this goldman sachs update and one point. Two six percent of that six point six trillion would be eighty three billion or a hundred and seven million shares so focusing on that slice for now goldman sachs in an updated note. Overnight said quote of the one hundred and eighty nine large-cap core funds in our universe one hundred and fifty seven funds that manage around five hundred billion in assets under management did not hold tesla on september thirtieth and quote. Okay presumably here then. The one hundred eighty nine funds that goldman is referring to here are benchmarked against the s. And p five hundred. I don't have the full note. So i'm not sure if they stated that clearly but i do think it's the best assumption we can make so they're saying five hundred billion in assets under management for those one hundred and eighty nine funds. That's five hundred billion of the six point six trillion that we're talking about here so that's about seven and a half percent of the slice so then golden is saying that of those one hundred and eighty nine funds. One hundred and fifty seven of them didn't hold any tesla that's only seventeen percent of those funds so we don't necessarily know how the dollar distribution looks if one of those funds makes up the majority of that five hundred billion assets under management and they hold tesla the dollar percentage will look very different. But for now it's just assume it's the same at seventeen percent and then let's extrapolate that percentage to the six point six trillion and benchmarked funds. Broadly obviously quite a few steps. There were the math. Can break down. This is just a theoretical exercise but if we apply that then we could assume that of the six point six trillion and benchmarked funds about one point one trillion of that may already have a position and tesla leaving about five point five trillion. That does not so drop that. Six point six trillion down to five point five trillion. Assuming others already have tessa positions. If all those funds want to be equal weight on tesla they would need to buy sixty nine billion dollars. Tesla nice which one hundred and forty two million scherzer's. Obviously they could buy more. That could buy less. Could by not at all but doing anything other than being equal weight on tesla is an active choice to deviate their performance versus their benchmark based on how tesla's said another way if they don't know about tesla the safest thing for them to do is just to be equal weight so that it's not influencing their relative performance if we hop back to that goldman note per the bloomberg article on the topic. They say quote assuming those funds chose to hold the carmaker at benchmark. Wait they would need to buy eight billion dollars of the stock or about two per cent of tussles market value the analysts set and quote so many of you may have seen the headline articles about that today. That's just goldman saying that of these funds. These five hundred billion in assets under management those funds. We need to buy a billion to be equal weight. So there's walk in clients through the exact math and we've been walking through here for awhile. But on their universe as they say which is just a subset that seven and a half percent subset of the six point six trillion that the snp says is benchmarked against the s. and p. five hundred. We've now seen a couple of separate confirmations that overall the we've been walking through here is correct. I we had the snp announcement which indicated that okay. Yes it's going to be about a one percent weight that equates to about fifty billion in terms of shares that need to be bought so check that box and then here we have goldman sachs now the benchmark funds and how they would need to buy eight billion and that lines up well with the math that we've been talking about on the bench marked funds so i think good to see that i still don't really know how all this is gonna be able to work again if all that is equal weight. That's you know. Thirty eight percent of tesla's float you can't just take thirty eight percent of afloat off the market over the course of two weeks

Tesla to raise prices in China on August 30 as trade war escalates

"I'm macrey and i am joined by motley fool analysts. Emily flip and ron gross welcome. How are we feeling. Hey mac days of summer here dog days. I've i've had a nice little break so i'm tan seen you in months as look. I know it's true. It's been a very generous break. Thank you thank you thank you why feel well rested and we got lots to talk about. We've got some new health concerns with vaping and and i have a lot of questions about this vaping. I'm just i'm not sure it's a good idea. We're gonna talk about that. No no no i think it's the devil's playground okay and also we're gonna talk about target getting some disney magic target and disney teaming up here so we'll get to all of that but let's begin with tesla now according to reports tesla. We'll raise prices in china on friday. That's earlier than planned and tesla. According to the same report also considering raising prices again in december should the chinese tariffs kick in so emily. You're one of our resident experts on china and now we're seeing some of the ripple effects potentially really of all this trade war stuff tesla. We should add currently imports all of its cars. It sells in china. That's an important note right there. The fact that tesla as it stands right now how is selling every car in china that they produce here in the united states so the twenty five percent tariff on automobiles that china is putting into place or considering putting into place at the u._s. Would hit tesla very hard. That's an addition to a five percent tariff on auto parts as well so it's kind of a minefield for tesla tesla right now. They're trying to meet what they see. As expanding demand in china will still navigating the tariffs <hes> for the business as a whole. The most important thing is the fact that you know they've been working on the shanghai gigafactory so factory there in shanghai china that would produce cars that they could then sell in china for a while now but they've kind of been going to their own minefield and getting up and running so the fact is is that simply they're not going to have it up and running this year and they're probably going to start trying to front run deliveries to china china and advance at the december terrified ex yeah. I couldn't tell if this was a tesla story or a trade war story or a little bit of both but i think it's a it's an actual real world example full of how trade wars and tariffs can actually impact companies in this case u._s. Companies <hes> everyone should sit up straight and listen and see how how this can impact. It's it's not like tesla was kick knocking the cover off the ball so this this is another little thing that they're gonna little another thing that they're going to have to deal with and it is the consequence of trade awards. <hes> president trump said they're easy to win and maybe one day we'll say they are but as of now it doesn't appear to be the case and when we look at tesla's business us as a whole emily how important is china if i'm investing tesla or if i'm a considering investing tesla how much should this concern last time i looked china actually accounted for about one fifth of tesla sales so this is actually pretty concerning. It's a little surprising stock hasn't moved much day actually on on this news but that might be in large part because tariffs as we've found and trade wars in general tend to change rapidly so we don't actually know what the situation will be like in december. I think we all see how quickly <hes> you know. Administrations and politicians tend to go back and forth on things like trade wars but what's what's important is the fact that companies have to prepare in the environment in which they know right now so you know tesla which has had a problem for a while and and getting deliveries out of their factory non-tobacco on demand problem as they say but it's a livery problem whether or not they can really actually deliver these cars in advance of a tariff hike that basie coming in december is the big unknown here. I think we should add as least walking into the studio. I noticed the tesla has confirmed that this is actually the case as of now just a report a little bit more than a rumor rumer think but just a a report <hes> we'll we'll see tesla comes out with a comment later. It's august ron. I mean we need something okay. Let's move onto vaping illinois officials confirming that one person has died after being hospitalized with severe lung illness after using e cigarettes now this is the first death breath reported from a vaping related long illness. Emily there is so much that we don't know about vaping in about the long-term effects. 'cause i wanna be careful careful here but we do know that it's been marketed as a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes. So what do you make of of the vaping news and as our cannabis expert what do you make of the potential link or the implications for the cannabis industry. I'll take cannabis expert. Ah my title now i'm actually it's important to note the difference between smoking and vaping a lot of people may not be familiar so smoking obviously burning whether that be like tobacco for the nicotine tina facts and that's been for a long time now proven to cause lung cancer so vaping came up as a healthy alternative to smoking. He's as water taper to get you your addictive chemicals whether that'd be cannabis or nicotine <hes> and so it was perceived to be healthier alternative because that water vapor itself was was not linked to the tar in cigarettes that caused cancer so these new reports coming out that maybe vaping isn't as healthy as it initially seemed is not good for the the industry in large part. It's just that we don't have a lot of history to work on here with vaping. We don't have people that have been vaping for twenty or thirty years to prove proved side effects so it's almost like we have a generation of of many guinea pigs. Have you been the first generation to consume vapes in any large quantities. I expect expect that we'll see more reports like this. It is worth noting that the report is not nearly as bad as immediately causes lung cancer but is to say that there are likely health effects the facts to to vaping and using vapes as opposed to smoking cigarettes yeah at the risk of stating the obvious. I think we have to make sure we keep us out of the hands of of kids because kids kind of did learn the lesson about cigarettes. I feel and now boom just when we thought we were out of the water with that generation smoking cigarettes. They're there vaping more than ever <hes> so if it's the fruit flavors or the bubble gum flavors or it's the marketing to children i think the i._b._m. Phone firmly early in favor of stricter regulation when it comes to children i mean even nicorette i believe for example is a prescription is necessary so why can't vaping <hes> <hes> <hes> nicotine also be prescription. Perhaps i don't know if the industry will ever go that for but let's just try our best to keep it out of the hands of kids and it's so interesting. Can you say that because the f._d._a. has actually been targeting regulations focus that keeping it out of the hands of kids so the largest producer in the united states jewel has flavored pods is that the f._d._a. has recently sat are too attractive to children's so they've limited <hes> a lot of places that jewel can sell their flavored <unk> pot products and i believe san francisco's outlawed the sale of a vape vaping products completely <hes> you can actually use them. I believe in san francisco but you can't purchase them <hes> so maybe we'll see more of that and before we get to our next story. I want to say thanks to net suite now. If you don't know your numbers you don't know your business but the problem that growing businesses have the thing that keeps them from knowing their numbers is this hodgepodge of business systems. You've gotta system for counting. You've got another one for sales another for inventory emily and ron what a mess complete mess systems everywhere and it's so inefficient taking up too much time and sucking up way too many resources and that is where

Citigroup Hit Hardest as EU Fines Banks $1.2 Billion Over FX

"Citi group was hit the hardest of the five banks that agreed to pay European Union. Fines totaling one point two billion dollars for colluding on foreign exchange trading. Tragedies traders ran to cartels on online chat rooms that were called the Essex express in the Jimmy the three way banana split and semi grumpy old men. Joining me a securities attorney David Bessinger a partner at pissing off Schmidt and Williams. Dave explain how the traders worked in manipulated, the benchmark foreign exchange rates in these rather colorful chat rooms. While there's three basic strategies I think L I is good old front running securities markets as well. And that's when I traders aware of the going price and has his own or her own proprietary position. And at the same time also obligated to sell for a customer and tells the proprietary, I the customers disadvantage say, for example, if I'm trying to sell an eighty thousand dollars tesla. And I can sell it at eighty five thousand I sell mine I before I sell my customers by selling mine. It's gonna have it negative downward effect on the pricing. The second strategy is called banging the clothes and in the foreign-exchange market, the measured volume or the dollar amount. But by the volume of trades. And so this strategy would be breaking up. Maybe one trade into fifty and by doing it. There were a lot more traces certain price, which manipulated the market. And then finally, there was a strategy called painting, the screen and painting, the screen fake orders in the market to perpetuate an illusory price and then broker can sell his or her own proprietary positions. There's other strategies but those three are predominant in the regulatory actions. So now the EU Commissioner McGrath said these fines will send a message, while they're certainly large they're lower than the one point three billion euro penalty for banks for rigging Europe or rates and below the record three point eight billion euro penalty for collusion. So how much of a message is it really sending? Well, that's a big economic question. It's hard to measure. Evaluated is, you know, this is just the latest that you mentioned you have the euro or scandal before you had the library scandal before that you've had the same banks involved in the credit crisis. You had them in the tech wreck and all sorts of other things. Certain point one must ask what the regulators having scandal after scandal. So perhaps your question is raising legitimate concern that these are not severe enough. One of the banks are said that quote this kind of behavior has no place at the Bank. We are today. Our culture and controls have changed fundamentally during the past ten years. Is that true or is there room for something like this to happen? Even today at these banks, did you have to I suppose take that spokesperson at his or her word? But, you know, the real issues when you look at the massive size of these banks, for example, this scandal in the forex market, the banks comprising the global group that were sued both by regulators in the. US. EU. Elsewhere marketed about five point three trillion dollar trades per day that was just in the four x then you have all of the other activities. They have in a number of areas from securities, underwriting, too bonds on issuance to, you know, all the instruments during the credit crisis. So you look at the large reach these banks, perhaps, we have another four x scandal. But it does seem to make you wonder if we'll have the scandal somewhere else. Dave, I was trying to go through the investigations that are pending. There's another investigation, Bob in Credit Suisse in this area, another looking at the trading of euro-zone sovereign bonds, another potential coordination options trading in the FX market. There are so many investigations. What does that say about the way the banks are operating in the traders are operating? Well again, it's such an incredibly huge market. And so when you look at just the release it, we're talking about, you know, the ease variety of text messages. And like you say, in the introduction, you've got the Essex express and so forth. But then you go back, Bloomberg ran the first story I think, apparently in June twenty thirteen and there was a whole host of other foreign exchange channels. As part of that came out through class actions, the United States, actions and so forth. So it's hard to imagine regulators getting their hands around everything. Because again, it's just such a huge market when three British traitors in a group known as the cartel were tried there were actually acquitted by federal court last year of using a chat room to coordinate trades and manipulate prices, what did they show that led the jury to acquit them I can't speak to that instance? But I think one of the problems that you see in a lot of the allegations is that the regulators will try to insinuate wrongdoing because of. Nicknames. For example, that British pound to the US dollar trade is called the cable the New Zealand dollar to the US dollar is called the Kiwi. They have enormous numbers of nicknames. A lot of them are kind of cockney flying to make the traders look bad. And the traders are legitimately allowed trading to communicate and they're gonna communicate often like everybody else does these days by text. And so a lot of the texts are a lot of them involve trading and taking and to convict criminal court, you've gotta show guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. You typically would have to show intent and a jury is gonna wrestle with those

"Gangqi playing good baseball improved that you know, only a half game out of first place. You might not be noticing because you're keeping your eye on the team a head of them, which of course, is the raise. But there is a team behind them. That's not bad. That would be the Boston Red Sox who were losing four to nothing end to one today report Selo gave up four runs in the first inning. He kind of settled down after that pits Sexton two-thirds and gave up just those four runs. All by the way, the Red Sox did a number on. King Felix thereafter, gotta run back in the second. After the Thai cave rescue

"Now last July. We were all captivated by the successful rescue of those young Thai soccer players trapped in a flooded cave since then the boys and their families have been adjusting to fame movie offers interviews international appearances there have been some amazing opportunities. But also as you might expect some unforeseen stresses the cave system itself was also shaken up by the frantic use of bulldozers and industrial water pumps. The effort is now on to restore it to its former state ABC southeast Asia correspondent Liam Cochran wrote a book about the cave rescue. And he's still following the story from Bangkok when the twelve members of the wild boars football team, and they coach ended Tom long cave on the twenty third of June. They expected to emerge for birthday party. And for the youngest one a tutoring session, just another Saturday in this small town of Macy's why? But eighteen days later when the last of them was rescued they were global Salah. Liberties hounded by the media fretted over by friends, family and strangers alike. They lives have been turned upside down by the experience some of it positive some of it not so much. The boys are much sought after for appearances around the world. They were flown to Argentina to take part in a friendly football match at the youth Olympics that went to the US to appear on the Ellen Degeneres show and visited soccer's hallowed turf Old Trafford to see Manchester. United played they've conducted themselves in a way that's made the nation. Proud retelling this story smiling and posing for photos again, and again, and again, they may never have had this international exposure if it hadn't been for them as adventure. And they've lapped up the experiences making new friends seeing new places and gaining huge followings on social media in particular, Instagram, the pack the boys made to support each other inside the cave has carried over to. The outside world, but things will be changing soon. Some of them will graduate from junior high school and hit off to different campuses in the coming months away from my side life goes on friends drift apart as for any teenagers around the world for the families. It's been a complicated ride being a parent of a wild boar has become pretty much before time job for some of them with travel meetings and difficult decisions to consider about movie deals and appearances the Thai government has offered assistance. But also applied pressure setting up a committee to handle media requests that is still yet to seal any deals for a major Hollywood movie all the big studios want to tell the cave rescue story. And it looks like a deal may be getting close with Universal Studios said to be a front run out a tie production has already finished shooting and his set to release its movie mid year with one of the divers and some of the tire risk. Work is playing themselves amid huge sits built in swimming pools and scenes shot inside real caves in northern Thailand, including Tom long itself, the cave and the environment around. It was hit hard by the rescue efforts. Water was pumped out from the adjacent Cy Tom cave and into quickly built reservoirs rice farms were flooded creeks on the mountain tops above the cave were dammed and diverted by shovels and backhoes after the triumphant rescue the Thai government sealed off the cave and the site on park to getting to work rehabilitating the area directly in front of Tom Luang. A statue has been arrested of Samoan good non the tie. Former navy seal who died while diving in the cave during a resupply mission. The bronze statue is impressive more than three meters tall with soman in his diving gear, a superhero six pack at his feet Adrover. Pigs representing the members of the wall boys football team. There's a museum. The works to in front of the cave to memorialize the rescue for generations to come this time last year. Tom Lang was pretty much unknown except perhaps to dedicated cave explorers, local teenagers or tourists who happened to be in the area. But now it's a magnet for visitors over the new year holiday time Luang was the number one tourist destination in all of Thailand with tens of thousands of people making the pilgrimage, even though the cave entrance is still off limits behind high fences and security cameras one reason for the fences apart from of course, wanting to avoid more lost souls in the cave is that loads of diving equipment was left behind when a water pump. Burst minutes after the final rescue and Tom long flooded fast. With the rescue is just getting out in time Thai soldiers and expert divers are working to salvage some of the equipment. And it's still not clear when the cave will reopen to the public when it does all be queuing up to get in for a look. Despite writing seventy five thousand words about the risk you at Tom long. I've never been inside. Liam cock. Learn there in Bangkok.

"I'm good you. Yeah. I'm wondering what you're doing here. Do you want to be in Cleveland with your man LeBron and be front running over what's left of the Cavs? Yeah. She couldn't get out of what leaves early, gene. This could be miss quadruple dub tonight. We on it doing, gene. Great. You look. Nice Tom for leather skirt. I gotta lot home team only ever. Thank you. Leave your skill a bit early for that. And I'm not going. Not today because we have too much to get to like Shannon's guy. Lebron is he really going to dominate tonight. When he heads back to Cleveland will discuss that. Plus skip is he gonna keep leading the Michigan van wagon a lot to get to dog is also live in student later on him about improve your stash. Start grotesque to be we only have a policy here. We don't even need to do that. All right. Don't get any ideas. We're going to start in the NFL the Rams and chiefs showed why they're two of the best offenses in the league when they combined for one hundred five points on Monday, Jerry Jones was asked yesterday if his Cowboys could compete against these high powered offenses, and he said they could Jones said his team would play a different style of game which would rely on their defense because he doesn't see them, quote, airing it out like that, Shannon. Is there any truth to this? I believe the teams that Jerry mentioned our step above the Cowboys. And Jerry says they play a style different. That's only style you knew how to play you can't play style. Like the Rams because you don't have the quarterback. You don't have the offensive weaponry that these two teams have and just because you say you want to keep the jersey jam said he wants to keep the game low scoring skip. What they do what the Rams and the chiefs do and the saints. They and he didn't mentioned the saints. But I'm gonna throw the saints in there is that they put so much because they're often in Michigan. He's got to deal with them. And. Tomorrow, whether he mentioned them or not. But here's the things give what these teams do is that they put so much pressure on your offense to match them scoring that you take risk that you're not comfortable taking or you do things that's outside of what you would normally do not and. Skip to slow at football team down like Kansas City in the Rams. What do you have to do you need to be good on third downs to keep the ball? Stay on the field. Keep their offenses off the field. But you also have to be really good on third down defensively to get them up to feel the Cowboys on offense. Twenty third at third down conversions on the flipside hard to imagine. It's hard for me to believe that the Cowboys are twenty nine in getting teams off the field on third down. But they're second in scoring. Also officially what do you need to do skill? I believe in order to beat these two teams. You gotta get to what what's the magic number. I believe you gotta get at least twenty eight points. The Cowboys only one time this year. Go at twenty eight or more points..

China's exports to US tick up as traders try to beat tariffs

"China's exports topped estimates in both UN and dollar terms. As companies rushed to make shipments before higher tariffs, actually, kicked in are trying to correspondent Tom MacKenzie has all the numbers in Beijing. Tom. Front running is the phrase usual with these numbers. So we saw exports coming in as you say above the forecasts. We're gonna number fifteen point six percent increase in exports. Sorry about compare that to the forecast of eleven point seven percent. A big reason, of course, is because the customers in the US stocking up putting in those orders before these times rise from the ten percent. We got now on the two hundred billion to twenty five percent. That is expected from January the first you you want as well as also played something of a supportive effect, coding, be speaking to these down, of course, seven percent year to date, and then you've got some policy measures being put in place in terms of tax rebates from officials to try and support the export states in terms of the imports. That was also a beat as well around. Twenty one percent increase in imports for the month of October again compare that to set timber. The number came in at fourteen and a half percent fourteen point three percent with the September number. There have been other measures that have been outlined here to try and support infrastructure spending that may approve. Supportive for some of the imports in terms of oil, by the way, there was some record numbers of imports of crude into China, which is the largest crude by of course, around ten million barrels per day, which is a record the refiners here stocking up as they tried to produce diesel again that seems to be linked to the stimulus effects that are being unfolded. Now here in China, tens of the trade surplus. We saw a number of about thirty four billion US dollars. So in terms of what the Trump administration wants to achieve and of rebalance in the trade picture, we are a long way from that were record levels now almost record levels in terms of China's trade surplus with the

"Quickly. The Queen ain't happy the queen's not happy to nica from J Bill and Nick in ninety nine tweets forget the bat signal. I'm putting out the ten Roni alert for this Sunday. After that dumpster fire in Dallas yesterday. She then chased that tweet by saying, quote, I need a slump BUSTER is the flight deck available. Denisa asking for a slump BUSTER as promised. We're talking all things NFL join right now by an NFL network analyst, Anton FOX analysts you can follow him on Twitter at C FD D Twenty-two. Mike guest is Charles Davis. Charles good morning. What's up? How are you? I'm doing great. Jim. I love when they call for this slump BUSTER. I mean, you can't beat that. Can I say some trouser if you knew who she was talking about you'd like it, even better. A man appreciate Santa. There are still listen you're on the call for the Carolina Washington game yesterday. How impressed were you? With ROY Washington bounce back from that ugly performance against New Orleans on Monday night. I was impressed. Jim I wasn't surprised. And I know it's easy to say afterwards. But just look at the history of this team with Jay Gruden as the head coach they tend to bounce back after after big losses and play. Really? Well, the consistency has been there issue. You know, I talked with Jay about it. He's been very open and told my crew before the Green Bay game. We are a front running football team for whatever reason when we're down. We don't play nearly as well, we don't have to we have not shown the great comeback capability, but we get out and get on top of you look out. And what do they do against Carolina jumped out to a fourteen enough? They were embarrassed about Monday night, they have to resolve. But they played from the front like my good friend. Randy moss horse racing fame said when a horse breaks from the gate fast. It's called he caught a fly out of the gate and Washington does that there are a lot tougher team to beat Charles Davis. Joining us, you know, a level racing analogy listen in your position in my position. We're supposed to be objective. We can't play favorites. I get that. I got to say though, I was really happy. See Josh Norman bounce back. The way he did against his former team. I love the guy because there have been so much talk all week long about maybe he had gone Hollywood. Maybe he had lost something off his game. What did you see why you were watching him? Well, I talked about during the game. Jimmy was interesting about it is all the things you said as as we well know her so true different people analyzing it. Okay. I I've seen where my my colleague were Charley Casserly, it said that he's the third best corner on the team behind Quinton Dunbar, converted wide receiver Fabien Moreau out of UCLA, another, you know, a colleague of ours into business book befallen had said on Monday night football. He's no longer the top corner on the team Quin Dunbar it. Well. Yes, pride he was stung by that. And I thought that in this game. He played his best game of the year. One perfect day attacked him late in the game. And got some plays on Jim. But prior to that Carolina had studiously avoided him. They aimed all their big shots at Quinton Dunbar. So that told me that in Carolina's estimation. Even though Josh wasn't playing at his at the level that people expect from him. They expected him play well in this ball game, and they still had full respect for him. He had an interception forced force fumbling. The game I think Josh Norman is on his way to being back towards being the Josh Norman you're looking for. I don't know that he's the lockdown guy that people have made about to be. But I also don't think that he's as bad as as people said after the New Orleans game either Charles Davis joining us. All right. So last night Kansas City goes into New England. And then the first half Patrick Mahomes looked a little like you'd expect somebody to look making just seventh NFL start. But they turned it around in the second half, Charles. I mean you've been around this game a long long time. How many quarterbacks have you seen with the composure of Patrick Mahomes at this stage of their career very few very few. And when we add to it. In New England Sunday night New England having ten days to get ready. And we'll did we all say, Jeb, right? Well, we always say, oh my God. Bella check that much time with a young quarterback. As you noted. He had a couple interceptions early date with it. But I do think there's a big part of the makeup of Patrick Mahomes. This is pretty incredible. But growing up in that league big-league locker room with his dad is a pitcher being around people. You know, my colleague Alex Rodriguez over at FOX, he's he's he's fashionable homes hero. And the dad has often said that Alex would treat him like an adult. He was the one that would say, hey, your clubhouse. Let's do this. Let's do that. Let's go hit the ball. With shag. Let's do all that this kid had a chance to be around these big time elite people and see how they did it and along with his own personal makeup. It's come out pretty well. The last thing I would say Jim is. He had a chance to learn pose poise and composure at Texas Tech too. Because most of their games were shootout, and he was often playing for behind trying to rally his team draws Davis. My guest when you talk about Mahomes and his background. He's just so unique in so many different ways that said you're involved in the show sports stars of tomorrow, and a profiles and interviews high school athletes, so how different or today's high school athletes from the ones that say, maybe a decade or two ago, or are they more mature are they more polished now than they were then they are everything that you just said an Uber confident. Okay. Look, we've always had confident kids coming up. All right. You had to be in order to play. But there was also Jim a time where you, quote, unquote, waited your turn does that make sense rolled into the new program going from high school to college you kind of had to sit back, and okay, I got to wait for the veterans and let your talent comes through and beat out a guy. Well, these young people nowadays. Jim they're playing elite tournaments in AAU or seven on seven flag football at a younger age. They're going to these things like the opening, right? The elite players they're seeing each other on the camp circuit. So they're all kind of doing everybody talks about the NBA. Let's get together and form super teams these kids recruit each other. When I was that age. Okay. I said I be this back in the dark ages of the eighty when you heard about a great player across the country. There's a mythical quality to them because you just didn't see him. They weren't highlights. You know, there wasn't this. You heard about that guy? Go. Wow. I heard he's really great kids all know each other now, and they are not cowed when they go to the college level they go in expecting to take someone's job expecting to play right away. And that's a big positive for teams. But when you're trying to feel about harmony and dynamic a lot tougher for the older guys now because they don't wait their turn any more of these kids are precocious to the Instagram. And and let's face it. They're on television. They play on TV from the time. They're twelve years old go into these big time places not going to stimulate them at all you Charles joining us, you can watch him on NFL network and Fox Sports or I see mentioned back in the dark ages of the eighties. We go back to your career for minute. You're a db, Tennessee. You went to training camp with the Cowboys. What was that experience? Like, what do you remember about that? It was a great experience. Jim. And I'll tell you this very quickly by dad was a high school in college basketball coach and played football and baseball in college at Bluefield state in West Virginia, which at the time was historically black college and university. So he knew the score. So I go to camp. It was the waning days of Tom Landry as head coach the Cowboys weren't as good as they had been. But they're still pretty recognizable. People there ever said ball. Michael dowd. Danny white was the quarterback, you know, right on down the line. So I go I do my thing. I wasn't good. Adopt. They cut so the morning. I got cut. The band knocked up the Turk knocks on the door. And so they Davis wants to see you and bring your playbook. So I I've been around sports my whole life, James. I knew exactly the mouse gets cut before I ran oversee coach Landry. I called my dad now, this is the old days gets called card out it the rotary I called him that morning back in New York today debt, I think I'm getting cut today. And he said why and I said, well the man just knocked the door into the head coach Landry, and he goes off. Well, heck he might want. You know, just tell you you need to do this or try to help your game would have is a death. The man told me to bring my place. Oh, you're cut. Forget it. That's my biggest Bevery right there. The old bad at that point. Just reverted to being a coach in an athlete and forget he was dead. Right. Was like, oh, yeah. You're cutting. Well, that's great. That's tremendous. So do you. Remember, it was there anything to the conversation with Tom Landry. If you're going to get cut in may as well be by legend like Tom Landry. What do remember about this conversation? It was terrific because he said, you know, there's a standard form where they have to check. Why they're cutting you in the standard for biz performance, not up to standards or something like that. That's what you have to say. And I said coach is it. Okay. If I disagree with that. And he said, hey, you can disagree. But you know, it's not gonna change any desert. I know and he just looked at me said, so he said, son. What are you gonna do? Now. I said well coach, I I graduated four years at Tennessee. I played my fifth year as a redshirt as a graduate student. He said, oh, what did I said in history? He said, well, what are you gonna decimal? I plan to go back to school at hook on anywhere else to go back to school and get my graduate degrees. Last is terrific. He said I love to hear that. That's what you need to do. So he was very nice fast forward. X number of years down the road. I'm working for the United States Olympic committee in Colorado Springs. Tom Landry's in town to give a talk that a number of us attended. And after it was over able to meet with him and go by and all my friends were there like you gotta say something's gotta say stuff that that I coach I'm Charles Davis. Is you're not gonna remember b but you cut me from the Cowboys. And he looked at me he said probably one of my mistakes. I said well coach I'd say with your record. I doubt. It was a mistake. We represent a lot of people and a lot of brands and absolutely expects us six guys up here to go to represent the brand and showing how good the cows out the end of the die. So thankfully it doesn't always go you alive at today at everything rent smoothie, there were no no curve balls with ties or blown gearboxes or seatbelts coming down. Actually, to be honest, the on the drama was the safety cat. I just made a mockery of that could've could've cost us too late. So thankfully will far enough up the road that that didn't work at rice, pulled Umbro gave his thoughts on the result. I think as sedalia. What happened in the past. It's happened in the past. You know, you can't. You can't Dame yourself. You can't do that. That's happened. So all we could do come here is coming here this weekend, not put a foot wrong. I'd probably Danny lo lot familiar was Jimmy take them all that record away from me. So Dan after the weekend calling with one loss gnawed. Big match. Next weekend's richer targets. No, Beth Nissen. What's all that now? Obviously, the cows really, really quick went. They lost and didn't really form as we expected. So there's a lot of work focus going and a couple of weeks, Tom, Shane, being Bergen, and or Bamber finished in second place, van Ginsburg and he gained more points bleed over his closest rival, Scott McLaughlin in the DJ our Team Penske falcon who finished in fourth position because pretty amazing and then get into rice the Penske's and stuff. The these top attracts the low downforce of really being a struggle in previous years. You know, you took wing off the af and just wanted to do done, not everywhere. So it's one of the first things I learned in rising. Felons is more important than grip and he didn't make the downforce number out wrought, but the balance is so much better. And when we come to hear tizzy, hopefully Bathurst, maybe we can actually take it off max weighing and. The balance of the car. This weekend was awesome, and we had straight lawn. So last couple of years we couldn't have both. So it's been been really good step forward with the Zabi Bamber who's won some amazing races, including the l'amour twenty four hour rice twice. He spoke about what it was like to be on the podium in Sandown. Firstly. Absolutely amazing to be able to come join AAA and red bull. The first time in Giro's is pretty special. Thank you. Trust him. Main rookie to come here. There's been amazing. And I mean the Qasr being all Simpson's or wrote off the truck. Cobb, one was a rocket to think about it overnight as well. And we managed to tune into out Karen to a rocket as well for Sunday, and starting in the middle of the pack was pretty interesting. Tenth eleventh, but the cow was mega managed to get it up into the top five or six by the time we pitted and over to shine. So it's been a pleasure. It's been awesome. Shines being a great mentor as well. Teaching me about supercars and everything to do. I think without his advice in those two, since it. It would have been more difficult. So now really finding my fate in the category there and count life, and Beth is now super pump for this advantage attracted, I know, and now come together the team and sort of rolled on from here. But like you've said, we need to keep working hard. I see the amount of hot work and of managed to drive in some
