"Yeah, I would probably first just say I don't know that those are binary, and I don't know that they're black and white. It's one or the other. But forced to choose, I think we're much closer to the former than the latter in the sense of the experiences that we power and that we're continuing to invest in being able to build out are always starting from a place of how do we best take advantage of our publishers content, which is written by humans. And then we think that's a really important ingredient here and leverage what's happening around AI and make it really easy for the publisher to maybe convert their content, maybe augment their content, but in one form or another enhance it, make the experience more interactive, more user -friendly, more personalized, more relevant through chat as the interface that we're building around. And so in that sense, content is the core of it. It's about the stories you've written, the things your journalists have researched, the articles you're publishing, and the topics that your readers are already on your site for. You already have this audience, and certainly a big part of what we do is getting you a new audience by distributing these chatbots in other platforms where maybe you didn't have a presence before because these are chat endemic environments like this one. Again, things are moving so quickly here, and the opportunities are so broad. There is sort of a spectrum, I think, between example A and then this companion assistant version of my AI or Chashi BT or what like the promise I think of Siri and Alexa was back in the day. And I do think things can move that direction even for content companies. And we've assisted for their content a librarian that's personalized to every reader. We've gotten those analogies in sort of private meetings from publishers that we're working with and talking to, and there's ways to take advantage of our platform to deliver that experience. I do think it's still different than what you would see from my AI on Snap where it's more or less, and not to diminish it, I think they've done tremendously well despite some of the challenges that you alluded to. It's more or less the Chashi BT experience, right? It's a wrapper on an LOM. It's broad and horizontal. It's anything that was made available in training data from the public internet. We refine what we do to the publisher's content so it's specific and targeted and accurate. But we're also not trying to drive the I'm your best friend, tell me about your problems, let me recommend a restaurant to you. If you're chatting with a sports publisher, you're not going to ask them for where to go get pizza Friday night, right? But you can imagine over time, maybe that sports publisher does help you find the best sports bars to watch the game, and maybe there's a commercial opportunity underneath that by way of referral or advertising or otherwise. And so it'll continue to evolve. I think if you look at what's happening in the very, very early days around the agent behavior, that also becomes quite compelling and might put a task underneath it, which they're going to be able to do pretty quickly here. But that's not ready for prime time for all types of publishers, the world's biggest, most reputable brands just yet. Yeah, yeah. And so a lot of your publishers, the large publishers, they've got lots of different ways of monetizing what they do. Some of them are subscription based. You mentioned like ESPN and so they've got like TV channels and subscriptions and all kinds of stuff going on.

He asked him. Do you want to get well sir the invalid replied. I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred while I'm trying to get in someone else goes down ahead of me and then Jesus said to him get up pick up your mat and walk now watch this at once the man was cured. What Bitcoin Did

"The beautiful thing about Bitcoin is if it works with baseball, it works with anything. If you think about value for value, the model, it changes everything. Right. Hello. How are you all? Hello from Lebanon. What a cool country this place is. It's really strange. As I travel around the world, sometimes I go to these places where you worry about the economic situation, you end up meeting the most amazing, incredible people, most amazing resilient people, and Lebanon is exactly that. So I cannot wait to get this film out. Anyway, welcome to the What Bitcoin Did podcast, which is brought to you by the legends at Iris Energy, the largest NASDAQ listed Bitcoin miner using 100 % renewable energy. I'm your host Peter McCormack, and today we have Perth Heat on the show. We've got CEO Stephen and chief Bitcoin officer Patrick, Patrick O 'Sullivan. I was going to try and say Stephen's name. I think it's Nelkowski, Nelkowski, I think Stephen Nelkowski. Danny, what is it? Nelkowski. We've never had Danny on an intro before. Nelkowski. Yes. CEO Stephen Nelkowski. Now I've known Stephen for quite some time. When we announced Rael Bedford, he'd already announced his Perth Heat Bitcoin project, and then I met him out in Miami. He gave me a jersey, and we've kind of been knocking back DMs on Twitter for this whole time sharing ideas, talking about what they're up to, what we're up to. There is so much alignment between the Perth Heat baseball team and what they're doing in Australia and what we're doing with Rael Bedford over in the UK. And so yeah, I've been keeping an eye on their progress, been impressed with everything they're doing. They're definitely a little bit ahead of us, but there's so much alignment between us and them. And I know not everybody loves the football side of things, but this Bitcoin and sports thing, I'm telling you, it's so important. It's important on so many levels, there's so many chances to orange pill people by meeting them where they're at. And I'm telling you, Bitcoin and sports is going to be big. So give me your feedback. Let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy the show. Absolutely loved it. Steve is a legend. Patrick is absolutely beavering away like a legend trying to get all the Bitcoin stuff going for them. I'm going to be nicking some of their ideas. Hopefully, we will have some cool ideas. They can nick as well. But yes, let me know your feedback. Let me know what you think. It's hello at whatbitcoindid .com. Welcome, brother. Good to be on. Who's your friend? This is the chief Bitcoin officer of the Perth Heat. You actually the chief Bitcoin officer? That's it. That's the title. Chief Bitcoin officer. That's all I do. That's what I'm trying to get Ben Ark to do for us. You know Ben Ark? Yes. He doesn't even like football. But he comes along. He gets the whole thing. Great role to have. Emerging role. Yeah. You saw that job ad for that Bulgarian team. Yeah. That's amazing. Yeah. We've got a call with them. Joe Hall's trying to get me to talk to them. But there's two upcoming Bitcoin football teams, young whippersnappers. The league is expanding quickly. We've had a couple of recent inquiries from teams in Europe wanting to speak about what we've done with the baseball team. But as we've said so many times on Twitter and in comments that the Bitcoin sports league is a lot closer than what most people think. There's a lot of interest. Yeah. You beat us to it. I think you beat us to it. We had a couple of weeks between us, I think. Was it that close? It was. There was a nose between, I think, the two announcements. We were early November. I think you were late November, early December, something like that. We're talking 21, aren't we? 21? 20 said? Yeah. It was 21. Because I think I announced - November 21? Yeah. I think I announced December 21. Yeah. And we took over the team in April 22. Yes. That's right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You just beat us. Justin. So many things have changed since then as well in so many ways. What we thought we'd be doing in two years has just dramatically changed so quickly. It's awesome. There's loads we can get into and we're going to. But let's just do a bit of background stuff just for people listening so we can build the picture of what we're doing. So, like, introduce yourself, what you do, and yourself. I know we know you're the Bitcoin officer, but like, and then just tell people about Perth Heat, who they are, and then we'll build from there. Yeah, easy. So my name's Steven. I'm the chief executive of the Perth Heat, who are Australia's most successful baseball team. We've won 15 national titles. We've had 34 players who have played Major League Baseball. We've got an exceptional relationship with the Tampa Bay Rays, who send us out six to each eight players Australian summer. And these are top end draft picks. So one of the players they sent us last season, Junior Caminero, is on the verge of playing in the big leagues right now. So they send us the best of the best in terms of their young talent. And we build a squad and we play a season in the Australian summer. We've got a history of winning. We've got a history of producing great players. We're also the Bitcoin baseball team. And it's been, yeah, it's been an incredible ride. How big is baseball in Australia? It's big. It's look, it's obviously we've got the big sports in terms of Aussie rules. You've got rugby. You've got strong national teams with the Australian cricket team. You've got the Socceroos, you've got the Matildas. So it's not a tier one sport. But in terms of the quality of the competition, if you look at the fact that Perth Heat have had 34 players who have played for the Heat and then gone on to play Major League Baseball, there's no other team or competition that could produce that sort of statistics. So if you looked at one of the football teams like the Perth Glory, they haven't had 34 players who have played in the Premier League. So it's the competition is extremely tough and would be one of the best winter leagues in the world, especially with our association with Major League Baseball. So they send players out to you to get game time. And they also scout players that you have got of your own. There's a bit of scouting. There's international scouts in every city. But the idea of sending them out to us is they will see how the players will react in a foreign environment, a different style of baseball, different time of year. How do these players go in an environment over Christmas, New Year? Some of them are coming back from injury. Some of them have had interrupted seasons. That's a good chance for some of them to also build game time. But it's a program now with Tampa. Then in the last five years, we've had five players already play Major League Baseball. Jacob Lopez was the last just a couple of weeks ago. And as I said, Junior Caminero is knocking the house down, his 27 home runs this year. It's just a phenomenal generational athlete. And what kind of crowds do you get? Yeah, they vary across the weekend. We play a series. So we'll play Friday night. We'll play two games on a Saturday. Two? Two games on a Saturday. And then we'll play another one on a Sunday. So there's four games in the space of 72 hours. And the crowd's roughly between 5 ,000 to 7 ,000 over the weekend. OK, wow. So two in a day. What kind of demands are put on the players? Well, it's different. So baseball, if you're a pitcher, the demands are extreme. Every time you throw the ball, it is logged. It is monitored. It is counted. If you're an outfield player or an infielder, one of the batters, then that's what you're built for. You're built to play every game. So all the pressure's on the pitcher? Pitchers, yeah. Good pitching will win you championships. You need a really strong pitching lineup to bring in the different times of the game. And that's the part of your lineup which you really have to monitor so carefully. Because you could start a series with a pitcher. And if he doesn't perform well, when you bring him out of the game, when you introduce someone else. And then if they don't perform well, how quickly do you run through your rotation knowing that you've got four games to get through? So there's a lot of analytics that we look at, we monitor. And as we said, that pitch count is very, very closely watched. I've been to a few baseball games. I've been to see the A's. I've been to see the Dodgers a few times. I've been to see probably your team. Yes. We went to the Yankees. Yeah, we went to the Yankees. It was too hot, wasn't it? Yeah, it was so hot. It was so hot. Our knees were burning. There's not many roofs on the stadiums, yeah? So you're sitting out in the sun, yeah, baking. But there's heat, but it was too hot. Our legs were in shorts, our legs were burning, so we just went and stood at the back and drunk beer. Then the Yankees get absolutely back. I think they were 10 down within two innings. It was like insane. Yeah, but it's a crazy game. It can be 10 down, and you can still win. My wife has now accepted that no matter how far in front we are in a game, she won't relax until that last out. You can be 6 -0 up, 8 -0 up, and you can still lose a game just like that. It's very, very different of football. In football, if you're 3 -0 up, it's effectively game over, yeah? But in baseball, a three -run lead, a four -run lead, it can change with just one pitch if a batter walks, and then suddenly things just change. It's taken a while to understand and to even get comfortable with it. When I first started in the role five years ago, baseball traditionalists would say, well, that's baseball. It's like, no, it's not. It's bad game management. But yeah, it's baseball. It happens in the big leagues. It happens in Australia, and sometimes it happens with Perth Heat. And so your wife, is that because she's got into the baseball, or she's planning for what your move's going to be like? Bit of both. She has to be into it, but I'm not a good loser at all. Yeah, I'm not probably the best person to speak to if we lose a game for a good 24 hours. After we lost the championship series, that 24 hours was probably four months. Mate, honestly, I know exactly how you feel. We lost three games last season in the league. We lost one cup game, and then we got thrown out of a cup because we played an illegible player should have been suspended, administrative error. Every single one of those, I was not good for 24 hours. I spent the next 24 hours saying, what did I do wrong to contribute to that? Even though it's the team and the manager, it's like, what could I have done more? Could we have prepared the team better? Did we not provide the right resources, or did we not get the balance of the roster correct? There's so many things that go through your mind, but yeah, I'm certainly not a good loser. Were you a Perth Heat fan before? No, with a surname like Neil Kobski, you grew up with a round ball in my household. I was a football fan from an early age. This is a true story. Before I took the role with Heat, I had not watched a baseball game from start to finish. I had not watched a full nine innings. I'd watched parts of a game, but I hadn't watched a whole game. That first year in charge was challenging because you'd be with corporate partners, and I didn't know all the rules, and something would happen during a game, and they'd ask, why did that happen? I'd scratch my head and say, I'd have to find out for you. I'm obsessed with it now. My wife loves watching players steal bases, just running from base to base or trying to steal. Then I look at my family, Grey Caritage, and they're all into it and enjoy coming to the ballpark. Most people I introduce do enjoy it because, again, it's a different sport in terms of the pace of the game. You can relax a little bit more and then sit back and enjoy the menu of the hot dogs or the crackerjack and see some home runs in the background. Well, you don't understand the sport. It's a bit like cricket, right? Most Americans, almost every American does not understand cricket. Are you trying to explain test cricket, that it's five days, two innings each, it could rain and end in a draw? Nobody understands it, but when you understand the game, you understand what brilliant test cricket is. Like my son, he watched the Ashes with me, and I had the first two tests, I was explaining how this works, why they might declare, what the follower knows, which never got used. Trying to explain the strategy of it all. And then once he understood, he got into it, and I was mentioning going to watch baseball. I said to you before we started recording, I was dating that girl in LA, so we were going to watch the Dodgers. It was a playoff season, and I must have gone to maybe five games. I went to the game, I don't know if you know the one where Justin Turner hit a walk -off home run in the playoffs. I think it was against, it might have been the Cubs, but by the way, that itself was an unreal moment. The great finish there. Unbelievable. But I had a guy who was sat with me each game explaining it to me. And one of the things I'd never known about is the whole pitcher strategy. My from assumption the little I'd watched here or there, it was just one guy all game. And if somebody came on and it was injury, I didn't realize you're strategically placing different pitchers in the game, especially towards the end of the seventh, eighth, ninth innings. I didn't know any of that. And so once you understood that, you understood the strategy. And then there's huge strategy, whether you're bringing in a left -handed pitcher to pitch to a right -handed batter, left -handed batter, or someone that can face up to a curveball better than a slider, et cetera. Explaining the game to someone in baseball is a lot easier in the ballpark. If you're watching it off the screen, it's a bit harder to pick up. If you sit in the ballpark and you've got someone that can explain the rules, you will understand it a lot quicker than watching it at home. But the strategy behind pitching is nuts. The movie Moneyball and the strategy behind the analytics is spot on. There's so much you can gain out of the numbers. And that's a big part of our relationship, even with Tampa, is the Tampa front office and what they have in terms of identifying talent and how they use it is something that is a great benefit to an organization like the Perth Heat as well. There's a whole Moneyball thing that started coming to football as well. I know specifically teams like Brentford and Brighton have used it. But they're using it in a different way. They're trying to identify talent, which they sell out. I mean, Brighton. Can you look up their sales of players? I mean, Brighton. They have a profit of 130 million pounds, was it, this summer? I mean, historically, they weren't ever a Premier League team. No. It's only in the last, what, five, six years did they become Premier League? They're now established. But the volume of players they sell and the rates they sell their players for, have they got recent sales? Yeah. Let me pull it up. It was the same with Southampton. They kind of had that strategy as well. So there we go. Okay. Caicido, 160 million euros. McAllister, you went to Liverpool, 42 million. Sanchez, 23 million. But there's more in the previous. I mean, is that just this season? Yeah, that's this season. Did you have last season as well? I don't think it was on him. What was up at the top when you scrolled to the top? That was people who had come in. Right. Okay. But this is their whole strategy. I mean, they're now talking, this guy just got a hat -trick. The other Ferguson got the hat -trick against Newcastle the other day. People are starting to talk about him. And they've managed to have this rotation of players. Even though they're selling their best players, they've got these new ones coming through and they've got like an identity, which means it's a profitable business. Luton were the same. So Luton Town managed to get back in the Premier League from going into non -league, which itself is incredible. But they had a whole strategy of bringing players through and it's part of their revenue model. Does that perform part of your actual revenue model to develop players? For Perth Heat, it's a little bit different because if we have players that we continue to develop, they'll get drafted. And the draft system works a little bit differently to football where the club doesn't take the profit. The actual transfer fee goes direct to the player. Oh, wow. It's one of the first questions our board of management asked when they took the license over. How can we develop players and on -sell them? But it doesn't work like that in baseball, unfortunately. So, yeah, we've got a great farm system of producing young Aussie talent to go and pick up minor league contracts. But there's no return there to the club, unfortunately. Were you a baseball fan before you joined? I mean, I played when I was a kid. But not much of a fan. No. No, it was strictly because of the opportunity that came up that I joined. And when did you join? When? Same time. So about a year before, when the talks happened about, well, maybe this is something that we might be able to do. And then what the details look like for making it a possibility for a team to embrace Bitcoin as much as the team has. And then suddenly realizing that it's going to be significantly more work than what it first appeared to be. Because I didn't really have a role there to begin with. I didn't have a job. I wasn't working there at all. But then sort of trying to orange pill the board after Steve got it and to show them what we could do with it. It was very much, this is the idea. This is what we think we can do with it. And their attitude was, OK, go out and prove it and show them exactly what we could do to kick things off. And then from there, it was just small win after small win. And then realizing, well, if we're going to actually do it and announce things in November about just how far down the rabbit hole we were going to go, that we couldn't just, you know, Bitcoin is not at the point now where you can just launch and say, OK, everything worked perfectly. I mean, you know, it's so hit and miss with things that will work and things that won't work. And that's integration with systems that are already in place, especially when you're talking about a business of this size. You know, it's not your micro strategy. We don't have teams and teams of lawyers or people that can look after all of the various elements. And to go all in on Bitcoin means really restructuring how you do everything. And eventually that came back to me as my sort of ability to transition and see what will work, what's going to work now, what will work in 90 days from now and what it's going to look like in 180 days from now. All of that has changed and just somewhat to stay on top of that and to help integrate it into the systems that Steve is already looking after. Yeah. So I'm going to be interested to compare and contrast what you've done to what we've done, because like we're tiny. You know, our crowds are tiny. When we take, if you want to pay with Bitcoin on a match day, we're talking a handful of transactions. You got up to 7000 people there. So that's that's an entirely different beast. What were you, sorry Steve, what were you doing before you joined? My background is media marketing, so I used to be a sports reporter on one of the commercial networks here in Australia with Channel 7. I was there 14 years as a broadcaster, used to commentate to football games. But after being a reporter for the best part of 15 years and seeing how sports organisations run, that's where the real appetite for running a sports organisation came in and wanting to win championships. So I went and worked for a local football team, which is the Perth Glory, who play in the A -League. I was in a media marketing role there for a few years. Is that where Robbie Fowler played? He did the great man. God. Yeah. He used to come over to Mum's house every week for dinner. Shut up. Yeah. Are you serious? A gentleman. One of the most beautiful men. Yeah. We're always on the text to each other. He's a... You're friends with Robbie Fowler? Yeah. There we go. You're in. I want an interview with him. He's one of my childhood heroes. Oh wow. Yeah. And you know what? He's just a lad. He's just brilliant. He came and played for the organisation. And yeah, it was Monday night's dinner at Mum's house. He loved the Greek food, so we kept to a winning formula. That's unbelievable. Do you know the song the Liverpool fans sing about him? About we all live in a Robbie Fowler house. Do you know about this? I don't know. So Robbie Fowler is one of the footballers who was very smart with his money. He just bought just properties all over Liverpool constantly. And see, he's got this huge property portfolio in Liverpool. And so the Liverpool fans sing, we all live in a Robbie Fowler house. Yeah. He's a... He's God. He's God. He's just an awesome guy. Good fun to hang out with. And yeah, made so much time for the people of Perth. We had a great year together. And he's also very cheeky as well. There was a time where we weren't performing too well. We'd lost, I think, five games on the trot. And it was the time that Wayne Rooney was having a whole heap of issues with Manchester United. And we were about to do this live TV cross for Channel 7. And we knew the chairman wasn't too happy at the time. So I said, we've just got to try and deflect here. And Robbie had been in the UK for a week. And the presenter said, so Robbie, what was the trip to the UK all about? And he said, it was to chat to Wayne. And my phone had been, the media marketing guy just blew up, Fleet Street just went mad with this. It was just an off -the -cuff joke that we were trying to sign Wayne Rooney. And it was just everywhere within hours and we had to put out a press release and it was great because it deflected off the five losses that we'd had, but it was just a bit of a piss take. What was his scoring record like at Perth? Look, it wasn't as good as what it was at Liverpool. We would have been nice for him to score a few more goals, but the team struggled a little bit that year. And I think he ended up maybe with a dozen goals from memory somewhere around there. But it was a good year. And then again, I remember him taking out a little urn when England won the Ashes out before a game. And he put it up on his head and there was photos of it. He's just a great prankster in a lot of ways. He's an awesome person to have in your change room. And yeah, I'm really happy to call him a friend. So I went down the Robbie Fowler rabbit hole with my son the other week because, did you watch the Liverpool Newcastle game the other week? No, I missed it. Right. So I said to my son that there were two games when I was a kid when Liverpool played Newcastle. There were four, three consecutive years. The first one was a back and forth. I think Liverpool went 1 -0 up, then Newcastle went 2 -1 up, then Liverpool got it back to 2. Then they went 3 -2 up, then 3 -0. Liverpool went 4 -3. Stan Collimore in the 90th minute. It's an unreal game. And then a year later, Liverpool went 3 -0 up, Newcastle got it back to 3 -0. And then in the last minute, Robbie Fowler scores ahead of this flying header to go 4 -3. And so I then just had to explain Robbie Fowler to my son, why everyone said he was God. And we went down this kind of rabbit hole of Robbie Fowler goals. I was always really sad, though, because when he left Liverpool, I'm trying to remember, was it Leeds and Man City he went to? Did play both, yeah. Yeah, and I just couldn't accept him, not in a Liverpool shirt. Not in a Liverpool shirt, yeah. It didn't make sense to me. No, iconic to that club, and yeah. Absolute legend. Sorry, there's a bit of a tangent. OK, so going from commentator to chief exec, that's quite a jump. Did you have to kind of prove yourself you were capable? Did you have to pitch yourself for it? Look, I did the four years at Perth Glory in a media marketing role. I then stepped outside of sport for the first time in my career and just did some sales, what they called home and land packages here in Australia, selling some land in the house with it, and quickly went into a management role there with one of the companies. And then the opportunity came with the heat, and I was given the chance to run my first club, which was good because at the time I'd just started as president of a football club as well. So the management position was quite similar. I've run both roles now for the last five years, which has been brilliant. What is the mandate for the chief exec? How does it compare to, say, a chairman in a football team? Just look, every club's structure can be a little bit different, so yeah, a chairman for us is one of the shareholders, majority shareholder of our club, so he's who I report to. I've got the day -to -day running of the organisation, and I report to our chairman. What are the main things that you're responsible for the team in ensuring they've got the resources they need? Everything, yeah. Everything, yeah. I run the organisation. So it's basically probably almost identical to my role. Correct. Yeah, absolutely. Bigger numbers. Yeah, there's bigger numbers, but I don't think it really matters, and there's probably a good contrast with a football club. Whether you've got 10 members, 100 members, 1 ,000 members, a million members, the communication is still the same. You still treat your members the same way, regardless of how many zeros are involved. It's the same if you do a social media post, whether your club's only got 50 members or 50 ,000, you're still putting out information. So in some ways, don't get scared by the numbers. It's treat the position with respect and your members and partners, et cetera. Again, corporate partners, regardless of what the partnership value is, they're a corporate partner.

Stuff You Should Know
A highlight from The Hyatt Regency Skywalk Disaster
"Welcome to Stuff You Should Know, a production of iHeartRadio. Hey and welcome to the podcast. I'm Josh and there's Chuck and it's just the two of us and we're going to do just fine. I have a good feeling because this is Stuff You Should Know. We've been at it for decades now. Well, in different decades. Right. That's how people get you. They say stuff like that. That's right. Big COA for this one. It is about a very gruesome tragedy that we're going to detail. And we're going to talk about a little bit of the gruesome stuff but not get too, you know, detailed. Because it was a terrible tragedy but we just want to alert listeners, especially our younger listeners, that some of this stuff is pretty terrible. That is the events of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri in 1981. Yeah. And that was just one year after that hotel opened, right? That's right. This is the Hyatt Regency, a 45 -story, 700 -room hotel that opened in July of 1980. It was a part of a big suite, a complex called the... Yeah. The Crown Center Complex. And it had retail, it had housing, all kinds of stuff owned by the Hallmark Corporation. That's where the crown came from. Because remember, if you turn a Hallmark card over, sometimes it says crown? Well, then their logo is a crown. Oh yeah, that too. But this hotel, Chuck, if you go back and look at pictures of it pre -disaster, it was magnificent. Like, if you looked up, you would see that there was a high hall, a walkway, right over your head. And that was actually one of three that were kind of like the signature design of this atrium at the Hyatt Regency, Kansas City. That's right. And like we said, this thing had been open for about a year when the collapse tragedy occurred during one of their, they were hosting these weekend tea dances, which apparently were very popular in town. It was sort of an antiquated old school thing that they did. But the people of Kansas City ate it up, and they were just growing bigger and bigger with every weekend. And on this particular weekend, they had, as they did, they had a live band playing. And I saw anywhere from, I saw a thousand people in different places. This is one of those things where like every time you see a different video, you'll get different numbers and different things. And these can be a little frustrating sometimes, but at least a thousand. And maybe as many as 2 ,000 people there hanging out, partying, and dancing in the lobby. Yeah. I mean, if you see, there's footage of it, because I think one of the local TV stations was doing a human interest piece on how popular this dance had become, this Friday night dance. And that place was packed with people, not just in the atrium on the floor, but also up at the Terrace restaurant and on those three walkways that span the entire length of the atrium from one side to another on the second, third, and fourth floors. So there was a ton of people. And the number I most commonly saw was 1 ,500. So I guess everybody else split the difference. Yeah. So it's crowded. It's packed full of people. A little after seven o 'clock, the band comes back from a break to play their final big number of the dance contest.

A highlight from Preaching is Primary in the Local Church
"Acts 2 verses 14 and 15. Preaching is primary in the local church. Now there's something that some preachers do. I'm not opposed to it. I'm going to ask us to do it in a moment, but I've kind of shied away from it because I don't know. I think sometimes we do stuff because we always do it and it just kind of loses meaning and know that thought is there. But I went to the ASL football game Friday night and you know, it was 97 degrees and this blaring sun sitting on aluminum bleachers. But everybody stood up to salute the flag of the United States of America, you know, and to sing the song and to pay their respects to their country. And I saw those people standing in that heat, giving respect to their country. And maybe there's something to this, but maybe we should stand in honor of the reading of God's word and give our attention to say, we honor God's word. So I'd ask you to stand. We read two verses and then we can return to our seats, but standing in honor of God's word acts to verse 14. But Peter, standing with the 11 lifted up his voice and address them, men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give ear to my words for these people are not drunk as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. Father, we ask that you would bless the preaching of your word this morning in Jesus name. Amen. You may be seated. I will confess in the beginning that there is a bit of overkill in the scripture references and it made it's not the best way to preach, I admit that. But I want us to take at least this one morning to be reminded of what I hope you already believe, and I hope that you already believe how important it is for there to be preaching in the local church. That seems odd to my brain that anybody would think that it's not important, but I know the times we live in and I know that many churches have made preaching a side issue more than the central issue. And so I hope that we can be encouraged as a church to love preaching, to expect preaching, to desire preaching, that it would really be in all that you do in the world that at least you know when you come to church, you could hear God's word proclaimed. And I pray that would be encouraging. I pray it would be a great blessing to you to know that that is the heart and truth of the ministry here at By the Word Baptist Church. And for introduction, very shortly, maybe a little tongue in cheek here, but I just want to say it, I can say a lot, but I want to at least say something in regards to the day we live in. But I personally would, if I have opportunity, I would challenge any church in the world to take their methods that they use in church into the public marketplace and see if they could offend anybody.

6.8 Magnitude Earthquake Devastates Moracco..Over 2,000 Reported Dead
"Happy Sunday everybody, welcome to another edition of Convo Over Cigars. I'm your host, Derrick Andre Flemming at 5 .28 PM. The world is watching and praying for Morocco after a devastating 6 .8 magnitude earthquake has left over 2 ,000 people dead and is responsible for enormous damage in the historic city of Marachech. Very, very bad news for Morocco and the people of that country. A devastating earthquake just happens out of nowhere. This is the deadliest earthquake to strike the country in decades. The numbers continue to pour in. They are expecting massive, huge amounts of casualties in this huge earthquake, but the numbers, according to the latest updates, are 2 ,012 have been killed and 1 ,404 remain in critical condition, according to Morocco State TV, citing the Interior Ministry. Rescue operations are ongoing and authorities continue to pull the dead from this rubble. Obviously, you know, it's a search and rescue effort at this point. Morocco's worst earthquake ever recorded was in 1960. This was near the western city of Agadir, which killed at least 12 ,000. Many Moroccans spent Friday night on the streets fearful of aftershocks from the 6 .8 magnitude earthquake. Many Canadians who are in Morocco say this earthquake, which has killed over 2 ,000 people in the North African country, is absolutely incredible and terrifying. So we know that, you know, Montreal and there's a huge Canadian population in Morocco. Those two countries are very, very well connected. And I think it was the Canadian Prime Minister, I think his name is Trudeau, he was really working hard to try to assist the people of Morocco. Also, I read where Spain sent like 56 rescuers over there to help these people. This is a terrible situation, man. Anytime there's an earthquake, obviously, it catches people by surprise. People were not prepared for something like this. So the casualties are huge. I mean, they are expecting, I mean, the biggest, you know, earthquake ever to hit Morocco killed like 12 ,000 people. We could be looking at those kind of numbers here. From the early reports, there is no telling how many casualties are still under all that, you know, rubble. And you know, this is just a really, really very, very bad situation. So we here on Convo Over Cigars, I'm your host, Derrick Andre Flemming, we are praying for the people of Morocco. You guys have been locked into another edition of Convo Over Cigars. Happy Sunday, guys.

"You couldn't pay me a million dollars a year to do his job, Mike. Why? If I'm not getting shot at or assaulted, if I actually do my job, there's a potential that I lose my job and get arrested. Why would you want to do that job? And then we wonder why we have less police officers. Welcome to another Financial Guys podcast. I'm Mike Hayflick, along with Mike Speraza. Mike, back after a beautiful Labor Day weekend. Yeah. It seems like the summer finally turned into summer here in the last week of the, uh, you know, no school times because it's been weird all summer, rain, warm, cold, windy. And then this weekend was pretty much perfect from Friday on. Beautiful. Yeah. I mean, I'm thinking middle of August to like middle of October that might be the best weather maybe in the country. I mean, it's calm. It's like 55, 60 at night, 75, maybe even 80. It's gorgeous. I don't know why more people don't come here in the summertime because it's really a great place to be. I do feel bad for kids though, because they're going back to school and 90 degrees schools and that's never fun. Yeah. The heat wave comes at the worst time. Yeah. Feel for those kids. 90 degrees in a school with no air conditioning is not fun. I remember. Well, they're just going to have to suck it up. I remember walking to school and like three foot snow uphill, both ways, six miles, eight miles home. I mean, I don't know how that could happen, right? Yeah. But they'll remember, but in the wintertime when it's not 90, they will, well, I'll be going, ah, we wish it was hot and humid again. That's right. So, um, so football season is upon us, Mike, um, massive upsets in college football already. Um, Colorado led by Deion Sanders and his son at QB, um, upsets Texas Christian university, TCU, a ranked team. And then last night, Duke, Duke, who's known for basketball, right? Yep. They ended up beating Clemson of all teams. Um, so are you into college football too? I am. I'm actually all in on the Deion Sanders train right now, too. I love what he's done with that program. I love his, his fire. He's never scared of anything. Uh, I love that. That was, that game was a lot of fun. I don't know if you watched that live, Mike, that was, um, back and forth. I think 80 points were scored in the game. It was wild kick returns, interceptions, touchdowns. I mean, you name it. They had it in that game. It was awesome. What's cool. I think, and I'm not saying like, you know, losing sucks, but some teams have lost for so long. And then to see a coach, the Clemson coach with his head down and he's just, he's shocked. That his team can possibly lose that his team could possibly be throwing picks. And, and, you know, at the very key moments in the game, like I like that because then it shows other losing teams, like with, you know, the history of losing that, yes, if you just work your ass off, you know, come together, get the chemistry, get a leader like a Deion Sanders to come in and say, I believe in you. Don't let anyone in the news tell you otherwise. I love that. Well, that's why I like him. And, you know, to bring it to politics, like it's, it's, it's, it's the Trump model, right? Of just I'm going to tell you how I feel and I'm going to, I'm going to prove what I say. And it's fun, right? I mean, you, you need, there's going to be a lot of people that hate him out there. I'm not one of them. I think he's awesome. But he's got that the bravado, right? Like I'm not scared of anything. I'm going to tell you how I feel. And you're right, Mike, we're going to go from zero to a hundred and it's going to take us five minutes instead of taking us 50 years. And he did that, right? I mean, not to say they're going to win a national championship this year, but they're going to compete every week, right? And this is a program that has stunk for the better part of two to three decades, right? So they're going to be, they're going to be pretty good. We're going to be fun to watch. And it's going to be fun to see the show of Deion Sanders. Cause I love it. And his son is a stud too, by the way, his quarterback son is a stud. All right. Now how about your grand Island Vikings? Yeah. Yeah. 35 nothing win on Friday. So that's a good start to the season. Nice. Very good. We'll see. We'll see what happens here. North Tonawanda coming up this week, but, beat up Newport 35 -0 last Friday night or this Friday night, I should say a couple of days ago.

The Restaurant Coach Podcast
Episode 121 The 8 Driving Forces of Restaurant Success - burst 2
"Let's see if you can relate to this. It's 12 AM, another late night for you being the restaurant owner. You get home to realize that you haven't eaten all day because you were busy at the restaurant all day long. So what do you do? You go in the kitchen, you grab some bread, you make a sandwich. There you are sitting on the sofa in the living room just taking in the silence. Finish your sandwich, you walk down the hallway, open the door to your daughter's room. You see her laying there sleeping and the thing is it hits you. She's turned six tomorrow and you're going to have to miss her birthday party because it's a Friday night and the restaurant's packed and you have to be there. Kindly walk into the room, you bend over, you kiss her good night while your heart is just breaking inside for missing another birthday, especially since you missed her dance recital last week because you had to be at the restaurant. You finally make it to bed and your spouse asks you, you know, how was business? And you know, you kind of suck it up. You say it was good even though it was slow that night and she turns towards you to remind you that business taxes are due. You go to give her a kiss and she turns back over and goes back to sleep. You see, you sold her on your dream and that dream has turned into a nightmare for both of you. She's really fed up with your hobby, not making the money you told her it would. I mean, you can't even remember when the last time you had a date night together. The room feels really lonely and cold. You feel more like roommates than a couple. And you lay down wondering if you're going to have enough in the bank to cover those taxes and payroll since they hit at the same time and then all of a sudden, oh crap, you just gave your Sifu vendor a big check today as well. What if they all hit the bank at once? You lie in bed and you can just feel your heart racing with anxiety. It's now 2 a .m. You finally fall asleep an hour later and you are abruptly woken up by your daughter at 6 a .m. who reminds you that it's her birthday. Then it hits you full force right in the chest. The reality that you're failing as a parent, as a spouse, as a restaurant owner. You think to yourself, man, if it would just be busy this weekend, things would be better. Business strategy turns into hope and hope turns into a prayer. The weekend comes and like always, you throw yourself into your work 100%. You keep saying you're going to start working out again and you keep pushing it back to next week when business picks up and you're not so stressed out about sales and the bank account. But the busier it gets, the more hours you work because you just don't know any other way. I mean, hey, come on, hard work got you this far and surely it's going to get you through this rough patch, right? Sadly, no. The restaurant you dreamed of opening has turned on you and now it owns you, mind, body and soul. You're stuck and it doesn't look promising for the future of your business, your health and relationships with your kids or your marriage. You might be thinking, oh my God, Donald, it's like you're watching a private movie of my life. Actually, that was my life when I opened my first restaurant. I was failing and I kept lying to myself that things would eventually get better without me becoming a better owner and I was lucky. I had a regular guest who came to my restaurant, his name was Peter, who happened to be a very, very successful businessman. One night he sat down with me after dinner service and he said, you know, let's have a talk. He grabbed a little kind of white bar napkin from the table and he pulled out a pen and he scribbled on it three words, people, product, process. And he said these three elements are the secret to long -term restaurant and business success. And I could tell he thought I was skeptical. I mean, it couldn't be that simple. And then he went on to explain that the secret was the order you placed them in. And then he said to me, you know, Donald, you have, you have the menu dialed in, but that's just one element of the product piece. You have some checklist, but your team isn't using them to their potential. You're interviewing for skill and not for personality, and that's why you have high turnover. So Peter made me a deal. He said he would spend an hour each week going over this framework piece by piece. And I had to commit to being open to new ideas and to actually implement the tools. And I agreed. I will tell you now, it not only saved my restaurant, it changed my life. The crazy thing is that was 28 years ago. And I still have the original napkin, Peter wrote those three words on it's up in my office in a shadow box. And since then, I've refined and modified those original tools to meet the demands of the modern independent restaurant. See, I was allowing my ego, pride and denial to run my restaurant. So allow me to show you a way to have a very successful restaurant that doesn't own you. So you can have time with your family and friends, not stressed about money, no more arguments with the spouse about, you know, you know, your restaurant, it's always your restaurant is always a problem. How about maybe getting even a good night's sleep with no nightmares about your business? You see someone reached out and coached me and it changed everything. So allow me to offer that to you. Now today is a very, very

Desperation usually gives way to crazy antics. And the Republican Party is full of antics and the party will pull out all the stops to see which version of crazy will top the next. And it leaves me thinking each and every time what will they think of next? You know, in this latest. Version of kabuki theater called an election cycle. The Republicans have positioned someone by the name of Herschel Walker as a candidate for the U.S. Senate seat in Georgia. Herschel Walker. I'm sure everyone has everyone that has scared to have seen Herschel Walker in front of a camera. He is being positioned against reverend Warnock. Who was the sitting senator in Georgia at the moment for the Democrats. Now, some may say, well, how does this affect the native people? Well, it does. The same Senate seat that Herschel Walker is trying to fill is the same Senate seat that will make decisions about native people at some point when bills and laws concerning native people reach the Senate. Fools like walker will be voting against the things that could very well benefit native people. And conversely harm native people. Now, the Republicans who people have mistaken as the Republican Party, the Republican Party that we all see now is the Tea Party on steroids. And they've done their dirt to hurt the Republican. I'm sorry to hurt native peoples. They backed bills and backed programs to. Destroy native land, cultural sites, you name it. They've not done anything to help native people. But, you know, the Republicans appear undaunted by the new abortion allegations against Herschel Walker and they continue to campaign for him. They're more concerned about control of the Senate chamber, shifting to Republicans than they are about an individual candidate. So they're willing to put that buffoon. Up is their standard bearer for the state of Georgia. They're willing to look past its personal scandals. And sadly, if you can believe polling, he's in a dead heat with senator Warnock. The man is a lunatic. He's a lunatic. I can't put it any better than that. I don't care what claims he's made about his recoveries, his I don't care. The man is a lunatic. You have people like talk out of both sides of your mouth, Lindsey Graham, whose campaigning with walker. You have people like Ted cancun Cruz, who's joining walker as joined walker on a bus tour at stops in Monroe and Dublin, Georgia. You can't make this stuff up. They're willing to pull out all the stops they can. To make themselves look like non racist people. We all know better. I don't know who they think they're fooling. But they use idiots like walker to. Put out this message that they're all inclusive, and they're not racist, see we've got a black guy on our ticket. Give me a break. "Fully healthy, let's just say fully healthy, every team, all things equal. I put the bows and raptors in a national line above the calves for sure. Yeah. Just 'cause and then after that, it's obviously got the upper tier four and you'd probably put the nets like sandwiched between the bowls, raptors, teams and the top teams there. So yeah, where do you put your Celtics? Charade charade said it earlier. Give me Cleveland. If you want one of those teams you want Cleveland. It's tough to say, I haven't seen enough in the Celtics without rob here. It doesn't look great so far. I still think they have enough to win a series here. But their defense dropping like it has the last couple of games here is really where some of the Celtics didn't sound that worried in the pressers tonight..

"The Celtics. So I'm not going to count this out, because if it's not displayed better defense and they'll have the home court. If they play Brooklyn, if they play Brooklyn, I still expect Celtics to win that series. No, I won't break it. We broke things. Give me Brooklyn. Guys. Beeping, beeping. If you hear beeping behind you, mute yourself. If you hear we can hear. If you can hear it, we can hear it. Bobby, Joe, just wages. Yeah. Just weighs like, I'm clean. All right, good. Bobby, you got anything for us from the 45. Question about his T-shirt or something and that was it. Oh, I don't know. What's going on down there? It's riveting. But I understand you. What were we talking about here? Who the Celtics should want to play or who we want them to play in the playoffs first round? All right, so on the Brooklyn thing, let them get out of the play and turn them in first before you worry about that. They lost a brutal game that Charlotte. They haven't been playing amazing since Kyrie got back full time there. So they got to get out of that tournament before you can be worried about them. I am worried about the two teams that I think they're more likely to line up against here and I know you guys mentioned them Milwaukee lost tonight so that kind of keeps him in play for a higher seed. But it looks like Chicago or Toronto. You're right about Toronto. I'm worried about both those teams. The Chicago's got a lot of firepower, even though they're not playing well. Those Derozan 50 bombs can get you as it did the clippers the other night. So you're worried about his isolation scoring. And with Toronto, they have so many guys that throw out the wings. I mean, you kind of saw a mini preview of it up there when the Celtics were sitting everybody, of course, but they're so disruptive. They're so aggressive on the offensive boards. The Celtics aren't a great defensive rebounding team now, especially without rob. And of course you know it's a tough place to play you in Toronto. So and you have the lingering vaccine questions, which we won't even get into because we're all just guessing there, but who knows what happens there. So that's a dangerous series for a bunch of different reasons. It's a team that's had Boston's number. We've certainly remembered that bubble series, and you have champions on that team. Pascal siakam was playing amazing redband fleet has had an all star season. That's a group that I don't think you want to mess with and especially without rob. You do have a size advantage on them, I'd say, and the interior that you can take advantage of and Toronto's offenses isn't very good. So I still think the expectation with the Celtics is to win a series. You should be beating no matter who the beating whoever you line up against fresh round and that's why the expectations..

"So I'm not as worried about them in the first round because I don't think that necessarily going to see them. If you're the Celtics and you finish in the top three. To me, that's the goal. Finishing the top three, if you finish in the top three, you're not going to see Brooklyn first round. Because what's that? Because if you're finished, if you finished third, then you play the 6th seed. No, but if you finish second, Brooklyn could finish 8th, take out the 7 team that 17 could lose. You know, like that's always. But then you've got that you've got shit that you gonna control. I mean, if you can, you can from the three seed. From the three from the four, you know you've avoided Brooklyn. The problem is, if you want Cleveland, Toronto, if you want Cleveland, Atlanta, one of those other teams, you're only getting them from the one or the two. So pick your poison. You're going to get a Chicago team in round one without rob or Toronto. I don't know how much you feel, how you feel about that in a three in a three 6 four 5 matchup right now. So I prefer Toronto over Chicago because Chicago has a badass at that position. Lucerne, and we're not even talking about, you know, Zach lavine, we're not talking about frozen. Yeah, so I don't want to deal with Chicago first round. If you see them second round, great. First round. No, that's a high quality first round opponent. You weren't Toronto. You want Cleveland and you want to whoever can come out of that plan, not name Brooklyn. Yeah, I went Toronto. They just don't scare me that much. I know siakam just dropped 40, but eh, he kind of. He's dropped 44 years now playing. Jimmy's like. I'm not high on Toronto or say occam. I think he's kind of a poser. I think he's a fraud star. I think the cell can put him back to the gym. Celtics Celtics make life bad for him. Exactly, yeah. They can drop if you can drop 40 with Daniel tice trying to guard him..

"Sway, what'd you guys like about Jalen's game tonight? Jalen's game? So aggressive he was. Especially out of the gate. You know, I thought that him in imitating play well off each other. I saw Tatum, you know, a couple of instances where he didn't have to get in the ball but he definitely had his eye out for daily, which I think has been a development in itself the past few weeks or so, but I think this is the kind of game where, you know, even though he had was a 19 points in the first half, you weren't quite sure if you're going to reach 30 because dalen had the sentence to do this, right? So I love that Tatum wasn't the only encouraging him, but they were both working together as a cohesive unit and that's what you get. You get another 30 plus point game from both of those guys in the same game, which is, you know, this is the count is at 8 this season. I feel like I should be at like 15, but, you know, they made it. They finally reached that point where they could play together. And listen, another reason why I think this is a good win for the something is because, you know, in the fourth quarter, unlike what they did against the Miami Heat, not granted, that's a tougher team. They played much better defense, but they got going from behind the argument. So they didn't try to do the same. They didn't try to duplicate what they were doing. They just stuck with their game. I thought that that was a big difference compared to this game when you look at what happened Wednesday night. I mean, and the pace is for them to drop 17 three players and it's something survive that without having to match that. I think that's significant as well. Yeah, Jalen's having a tough shooting season overall from three, better tonight, but I like the fact that they've started to put them closer to the basket. Whether it's post-op opportunities, he's had some really nice games in the pose slash some good footwork there, not needing a dribble as much. He traveled again in this game. And get stuck on the drug will drives and you don't want him being the guy that's lining people up. You want him to be the guy in the post. Running a little more pick and rolls dives, cuts to the basket, all that stuff's going to help him be more efficient. And as a finisher, like over the last 8 games or so, he's pushing 30 points a game. He's probably at that point. And it's all going to the basket. And it's just been great to watch. It's amazing. And he's super aggressive. There's never a game where he gets lost in the shuffle. Like we saw last year. I think that's been the biggest. That's the thing is like the turnovers are annoying. Sherrod mentioned it at the top of the show. I just think you have to, you've got to recognize this is what it is with Jalen. If in order to be aggressive, this is the gamble, you know? He's going to lose some of the balls. You know, I've compared him at times to Westbrook and everyone's going to be like, you Westbrook sucks. I just mean that he has to go full speed because that's how he gets to the basket,.

"That was an obvious, I think, stylistic match for what rob was doing for double big. That's amazing. Amazing to think about. But you think of where Horford is as an offensive player at this point in his career, he's not backing down a ton. He's not rolling a ton. Tice gives you a lot more in terms of scoring and screening and rolling on offense that are similar enough to rob, even his blob ability, I think, is surprising his teammates early on and he's sort of been stressing these guys over the last couple of days. I can get up and get those. And you saw white throw them a really nice one. So I hope they stay with that. It's great size, taste can defend, even though he files his head off and he did again today. Horford is still defending at a high level in his own right. I thought he was just ridiculously good in this one. So overall, it looks like they can have a lineup on the court. They at least models what they were doing before. And now I don't like the defensive stuff that he made. Well, too much drop. You know, not switching as much. The switches are off. I don't know why they're doing some of this. Both games, the Miami game as well. They kind of, they went away from it. The second game in a row here. So maybe that's just easing into it, but they should stick with what they're doing, especially if they're expecting rob to come back, right? Are they just worried that tice just can't do it, you know? There, and that's really it. Maybe they're just not used to those 5 playing on the court together. I mean, you think about Tyson hoar for play together for two years, they probably never played together. Or at least for any significant minute. So that's a duo that's going to have to get ramped up here and where they have four games to do it. I'm sure there'll be some rest mix in there. They don't have a lot of time to nail that end of the floor here. Unfortunately, they're going to have some tough teams coming up though. It really tests them on that end, but they're going to be in some rock fights here if they can't defend. And I guess you feel good about the fact that this wasn't a rock fight. They gave up a 123 freaking points. Possession. I know. Whatever you want to call it, these are going to be some really close games, but luckily, you look at the numbers, they're positive team, even without rob. It's very thin margins. They're going to have to execute in the class as they did here. I thought defense I thought defense was much better against Miami. I thought they played a really good defensive game there. They made them work for everything. They just hit some really, they hit a lot of contested threes. And the breakdowns are just scary there. A few, but I mean, still enough to keep that game low scoring in Miami was shooting well. You know, in shots that, you know, again, late. They had a lot of possessions against Miami where they defended for 21, 22, 23 seconds. Miami hit a shot late in the clock, so I thought they played well here here. They just kind of, I know the pacer shot well, but part of that is, you know, part of that is on the Celtics there. You don't have that. You don't have to rim presence. And again, yeah, they shot well from three. But I mean, rob does everything. He defends the paint and also he's terrific defending the perimeter. I mean, what was the stat? He was top 5 or 6 in the league in three pointers defended. I think he had the lowest defensive Diogo percentage of anybody too..

"See LNS 50 over at bet online dot AG. I think that's why it was a good window, right? Because a lot of things that you just said about the fourth quarter execution, the way they played down the stretch, you would have loved to see Halliburton and there. You seem like he was on pace to go for 40 points. You would have loved to see how the subs are going to counteract that. But then when you think about it, well, he followed up with what, ten minutes left to go in the fourth quarter, whose fault was that. You got to give a lot of that credit to the Celtics, right? I feel like they were really baiting him to do certain things he didn't want to do or drawing offensive files that he didn't think were offensive files. And one of my favorite moments of the night was Jalen Brown put his arm around and he was like, nah, man, you did this that and the other. That's how you got that file, man. But good job. Good job. I love that, man. I love that stuff. The flexor from Jayson Tatum, like this is the kind of attitude, a championship like defense is supposed to have, right? And even though without rob, that's not quite what they are, they're going to have to revamp their identity right now without rob. And I think this is a step in the right direction after losing back to back games. Yeah. Halliburton is so damn good. And listen, he got at least two really just atrocious calls from the rest that put him in a bad spot. So look, the Celtics, look, Halliburton doesn't fall out. We might be having a different conversation right now. Halliburton. He's going to be a problem for a long time. Look, I'm on record of saying he was the best player moved in that trade, and I know the sabonis trade. And at the time the second that I didn't understand it because I thought Halliburton, if not today, by next year, it would be consensus best player moved in that trade. So Indiana got a good player. We're going to look on some bonus. Go ahead. I love sabonis. Sabonis is a good player. Halliburton is going to be better. Yeah? Soon. Like real soon. Yeah. And they don't want to wait. All right. Why don't you be in the middle, just? Sacramento in the midst of a deep playoff run upcoming. In the end it was like, no, we're not mean you're in the middle. All right, give us buddy heel too. Just sway, this isn't 90s either. I'm not talking to those guys. What are we doing here? Great son, that is. What is this? A four or something? What is this Jimmy? That's zed. Oh, this is. Yeah, that's 2000. That might even be 2010. That's in the title. It all sounds the same to me now. Four years old. Yeah, it's like exactly. Anyway, let's talk about rob. Awards going on. What would you be on this from the beginning? The four to 6. He's been calling it a conservative timetable. And that, you know, there's some who believe that rob could be closer in the three to four range, which puts him smack in the middle of, you know, potentially the start of round two without much concern. If you went to 6 weeks, you're at the end of round two, early round three. So that would be a hard one to survive. If you know you're getting robbed back for round two again, this is why everything about tonight and everything about this team going forward..

"So this was a really good Jalen Brown game and I like the fact and even though it was Indiana and they kind of suck. You know that they're Rick Carlisle coach team. So they're not just gonna lay down and let you beat the snot out of them. They're not built that way. So the fact that they were able to win a close game, even though it wasn't a great team, but it was a close game nonetheless that they had to execute and do some things down the stretch. To me, this was a nice little primer for the kind of games you're gonna have to play and find ways to win come play off time. 'cause you're not gonna be blowing teams out the water the way you did throughout the regular season. But one because it's a playoff and two because you don't have rob Williams out there. Right, so also just way I muted you because of the 90s stuff. You gotta go ahead. No, I'm just gonna piggyback on that. Like, yeah, you wanna see some resistance against these teams, right? You don't wanna see until this plane a bunch of teams that are just mailing it in at this point in the regular season. So this is good in that sense and also out for, man, what a sticky like low key, you know, just filling the stat line type of out or for damage. You got 17 points, ten rebounds, you know, the 6 assists. I thought he sort of got grant going to those cutting those takes to the rim. He was cutting, you know, brand had a frustrating night. I feel like he was, you know, really hard himself at some point, really holding his head down and I thought I'll help them sort of ease his offensive struggles, so to speak, right? And I felt like when he came to the defense, he was there, you know, he was taking the extra steps, you know, covering guys, left and right, sort of taking a little bit more of the slack without having Robert Williams down low, you know, helping him. They're going to need that help. I didn't need that. So that's something you want to see carry over in that first round series for sure. I think grant needs to stop trying to dunk on people. Facts. Yeah. That's my dog. But you know what though? He recovered. He recovered from that one and got a put back on it, so he was not on a jailing. And then he said, and then he could cost Jalen. So it was too bad things happen one good. Joe sways like it, the Spinnaker right now or something. But we're good now. Where do you want to sign a ball to just kind of rotate it? He just rotated. It was dance floor stuff. You did. Anyway. You're the hot guy. Anyway, the Al Horford stuff is interesting, right? Because it's like not only is he super freaking important now with rob gon, you gotta lean on him for 30 plus minutes. Now you threw we talked about it the other day where tice is like, I mean, Tyson's like rob light because he simulates a little bit of what rob does he's nowhere near the athleticism is not as dynamic, but he kind of fills that role. So you tried grant and then you went to the tice thing tonight and I know Joe sway and Bobby talked about in the last post game show, it makes sense. It leaves you really thin on the bench and it means you've got to play major element. It's not only you're going to count on out like crazy tonight. It's impossible to imagine a world without Al Horford going forward. This was supposed to be a one and done sort of year..

"All right, we are back in the win column. Back with the whole gang together too, I think. Right now. It was 90s night? 99, baby. What do you do? That's like my night. What do we got going on right now? Yeah. Number 5, John. No, what's playing right now? Africa? Okay, that's toto. I love toto. Isn't that 80s? Yeah, it's like total ladies. Wait, it's like, it's like, it's closer to 70s than it is 90s. It's like 82 83. Montel Jordan performed on that side, so I love that stuff. I'll hop on my peloton for an 80s ride and they'll play a song from like weezer and like 1994 and I'm like, no, no. I was like, all you have to do is look, all you have to do is look at the date. It's not a genre. It's a date. Four years. Is it a genre? Is it a date? That's like a question. It's both, but the most. And the very least you have to have the date. You know? You gotta have your fears. Yeah. Anyway. Yeah. Anyway. We are back with, like I said, the whole team, we're like the Celtics. We're like voltron, okay? We need all 5 to be at full strength. And if this, if this these couple of games have taught us anything, it's fine. Yeah, they're still competitive and they can play with a team like Miami and not have a perfect game and be there neck for neck. Then they can slug it out with it seem like Indiana, which isn't great. And so like you just see that little kind of dip back down into mortality, you know, in the post rob sort of world. So Joe sway, Bobby, you guys are there. Just what you first takeaways from tonight's game, 'cause this was an annoying game, right? You're like, okay, they're up 7 or 8. Let's hit the gas and go up 20 and call it a day. It just never happened. So Joe sway start with you. Yeah, I mean, I just feel like Indiana Pacers just felt hopeful, you know? And obviously they had a lot of reasons because of Halliburton, but then Halliburton goes down. And then all of a sudden, Dale and Smith pops up and it's funny, man. I turned to Bobby during the third quarter and I'm like, man, Jalen Smith, we had a pretty good state in Phoenix this year. He sort of disappeared, goes off, literally. I say that. So it's going off in the third quarter, continues over into the fourth. And almost like they were taking turns in a way of just going through the defense and exactly the substance we're doing. And they were trading trading baskets in my opinion. And then Lance Stevenson also was a thorn in the southern side down the stretch. You know, those three pointers as well by the patients, but then your two best scores on the floor. They were supposed to do, you know? In between jaylen Brown Jayson Tatum, but Jalen Brown, man, what a solid outing. We rarely leave the show with this, but I think it's observing this time around..

"Little wayne is not really understand politics right. He no no surprise. Sort of thing about you. Think tunechi popping in these three. Now you want to think of it. Is i wish we can separate our fandome for certain artists celebrities but too many of us. Don't you know what i mean. Even we're saying. I've been stopped when anything has to say outside of music. I basically put him on mute relationship. You know what he's you know. he's a good father. Let me not do that because he knows what he's doing on all right anything else. Anything bigger investment. No no no. He's not go to stay away from him. I said what do go right right here. We go so. That's what you gotta understand when people search based yeah. He's coming at it from his point of view and his pockets. And what he's affecting. You know what i mean. So he still like. It's so unfair certain level. Because he's been in that bubble for so many years the right time for a while. I think the most access people had someone is when he was ten class. University of houston. Yeah other than that. He's been in that rich and see was twelve. He's saying so. How can why did we put. Why don't people put value in certain people who are not a part of the life you're out on boats we own both climb you know man. But that's why. I think to myself like how can how could he really just because like. We said like he's been rich and he was twelve like. When did you really have tom understand that you were in like that level of so. You're saying that part of his development. When would it have happened. Good point this is the win win. Would've happened don't like that's like when i hear stories i'll shoot now selling drugs when you were nine. Well how do you taking place. You were eight eight am blood rows. He lives up the block literally like down a block. That's right so funny story i was. I was in high school and he was still. He was younger but he was. He's probably like five years younger than me. Okay rice anyway ads. So i'm walking from school. But my in south i don't want him on so i was walking and i seen a friend of mine there so he's gonna run. "With the childish gambino. Oh that too. But i think this is me projecting and little manifesting as well. I think the next package is going to be the biggest one. Excuse me Because is only about a time a matter of time before they really pull back and like the executive order president biden just put out was cooling great about covert. I think for a majority of the major cities in in almost a majority citizen atlanta majority the country The numbers are rising. so high. the relax. It doesn't but it was funny as all right anyway. All right shut bernie. Indeed bernie's ready to get to work. I know it is. I said man. He's the That's really keep the pressure on these folks. Don't let that is what is that's why he's so anyway. So you think the first thing after the executive orders is getting its money released. Why happy because he's already been talking about colby pull back. Why hasn't it happened. why hasn't i understand. They got a vote some more. Yeah to say that this is what happens when you eat anyway. We someone else's new stomach riemann so you think what do you think like. There's now honestly. I think that's going to be a big part of this. Everything has to be surrounded about that. Pandemic that we're going through right now. I think that's going to be one of the more pressing things that he's gonna get you i Is that the most pressing thing. I don't think so. I mean obviously the getting rid of the pandemic but by that money is would be great to a lot of families that are that are still struggling this whole thing. We ain't got back to grow up all four. Don't hey come in and get us asked us to come to the poll right okay. Yeah okay was there what you don't want you to grant first of all this asking nothing putting it back. As an investment in which invested in strip clubs comores you go. And you know what i'm allowed virtuous circle back to life as a pre millennial joke on panel is. That was the biggest balloon. I can know what are we doing right this guy like every time. We tried to get serious role merola baseball bat. See this is why this is. Why smuggles on friday. I know i know i know or not. Eighteen hundred previous he because eighteen. Ti bones users come out in march shutout family I know today. Tell him too. Many people business anyway. The point is there's a lot of money that's why we rolling out into the spring bonus list come on man way too many questions still using. At and t. styles with up brand new man then working in the building. Yo so anyway. My point is if people planet right right. Some people Can bankroll nice. Yeah yeah so so. Jays flash flash means like twenty five dollars a month to buy their flat screens. Why is it that every black friday and every tax time how many. Tv's y'all guide your house. I used to be the same way actually at the same head seventeen. No i never did that. So i don't watch tv like this anyway. So this is my point. I don't this is my focus. Talked to somebody else. Had a point out to me. And i kind of went a little bit deeper with it after i thought about it for some people who only make certain amount of money. Lack friday is one of the few times a year that they have access to those type of luxury purchases. You make ten to thirteen dollars an hour right Even at thirteen dollars an hour. That's twenty grand. That's still way below the poverty. Some quick yes yes. I've been listening talking. Numbers come on my skin in the gang. Listen smokes. I did quit how this is a quick thing.
