"But that focus was On the Muslim world right after 9 11 that became kind of the dominant narrative, And in recent years, this conversation has started to shift. When did you see that shift? Some would argue that it hasn't really shifted enough yet. I mean, I would say it's still the primary focus of much of the national security apparatuses. Theist psalmist threat. Afar threat. The overseas threat the potential for groups like Isis and Al Qaeda to come to come to United States and launch attacks, even though the FBI for many years now has said that the far right threat the violent right Is the deadliest and the most active threat. Um That idea of Muslims as terrorists. They sort of had a lock on that term of that one. That label that persisted and in some circles still persists. You know, when the topic of extremism comes up in the political debate, right now, you have politicians on the right. Who will say Um, look, what about Antifa? What have you learned about whether or not the threat from left wing groups? Essentially how it compares to what is starting to develop in right wing extremism by any metric. There's just no comparison. I mean, it's a totally lopsided picture. That being said domestic terrorism analysts are worrying that they are going to see Ah, hardening of the left more groups like these, you know, kind of armed anti fascist groups springing up, but as of now, there's just there's no comparison of the threat. As you go forward doing this work. Can you give me Two questions. You're going to be asking to things that you think are worth keeping an eye on. As for people who want to follow this issue. I think the mainstreaming of Extremism. Is that is kind of the story and to me, I'll be looking at how the government law enforcement in the public. Sorts. People sorts, You know. How do we think about this threat? Who is an extremist at a time when you know a sitting president was de Plat formed? For promoting hate violent ideologies. Conspiracy theories. Um, that kind of says it. You know, the line between mainstream and French has vanished. And so how do you even determine who's an extremist? Who's a violent extremist who should be policed Who shouldn't. I mean, these are all kinds of debates that I think are going to be unfolding as law enforcement? Let's take a harder look at some of these groups and as the public outrage by January, 6th starts demanding.

"On their story. Gunman Shot Lady Gaga is Dog Walker and stole two of the singer's Bulldogs ABC Jason Nathan Seuin joining us on the co Moh news line with more on this attack, and this sounds like a scene out of a Hollywood movie. Yet it did happen for real in Hollywood, Jason It really did happen. This was Wednesday night. Her dog, Walker was walking the dogs Ryan Fisher or dog Walker and assistant walking the three dogs in West Hollywood. When a car pulls up a white car pulls up to people get out. That there on the sidewalk here. One of them has a gun. They start to try to steal the dogs. There's a struggle going on. They get two of the dogs, and then one of the people shoots Ryan Fisher in the chest. Jump in the car take off with two of the dogs. One of the dogs who had apparently gotten away comes back to Fisher and his kind of hanging around Fisher while he's lying on the ground, calling for help pleading for somebody. Anybody To come help him, Hey says, I've been shot in the chest and bleeding my lungs or bleeding. It's really kind of gripping and chilling video and audio that's on TMZ that they have from security camera from one of the neighbors. The two people they take off and gaga now offering a $500,000 reward for the return of the dogs. She's not in the country. She's in Rome, but she is obviously beside herself wanting the dogs back. What do we know about the dog walkers? Condition? He's going to survive that we don't know exactly. You know what kind of condition what level but that he's I've seen reports that he's doing well to reports that he's you know, in the hospital and They're working on him. But as far as we know that he's going to survive this if they've got surveillance video what? What does it tell us about the the Attackers of the car, the vehicle they used for the weapons. It's a white they're thinking Nissan Sentra the gun. I've seen this. It is a semi automatic. Looks like a handgun to me. They don't get it clear license plate on the video. But there might have been other video that they're looking at. And the police are obviously looking into this. And what we don't know is is this was she targeted? What were these dogs specifically targeted Because There are Lady gaga as dogs, and they thought that they could either get more money or get a reward from her for that, Or is this part of a larger trend that we've seen of dogs, specifically pure bred dogs? French Bulldogs being high on the list? Of dogs being stolen. You know, the economy's bad people are looking for money in any way they could get it and stealing dogs has become a big thing. We've seen a couple incidences and here in Los Angeles and San Francisco, other areas in California because they can get big money for these dogs. Now, these dogs in particular are now two of the most famous dogs in the world. Their pictures are everywhere so I imagine it would be pretty hard for the thieves to sell these particular pops. In addition to the reward, have we heard from Lady Gaga? Jason? No, we haven't. We know that she's wanted to get the word out about the dogs, and that she she's created an email address for people to send information, she says no questions asked. But So far in social media. Prophecy End Times Rapture could it happen today - burst 02
"Into rapture and so we want to really like you know dissect that a little bit more. We'll also talk about it next week But the whole purpose. The reason why we went to this topic of in times in prophecy is to help people walk through and have hope of what is to come and as a believer. We have a different a follower of christ. We have a different way of viewing our life in so we know that when we die the to be absent from the bible body the bible says we will be present with the lord that we don't fear the sting of death because we know that we will have eternal life for all of for the rest of our lives because of what jesus did and we also believe that there's going to be an end of the church day we we believe that you know jesus brought in church. We don't find the church anywhere in the old testament but we all we find it coming in the new testament and that there's going to be a day when the church is going to be fulfilled in that is the day we believe that is called the rapture and so when that happens the church then we'll be caught up and we'll be taken to have been and then we will live with jesus for all eternity but there's a lot more steps that won't take place so last week. We kind of set the stage. We talked about what israel's role we talked about it. Everything's going to revolve around israel and we're gonna talk about that more today and then we're gonna talk moving forward in the coming weeks. We're going to talk about what what is to be expected. We're going to kind of go through a chronological order of the last days. So there's let me just set
The Power of the Pivot And Knowing where your transferable skills are needed
"You know. People have had a very very very difficult time by the tens of millions with periods of unemployment that had been for some people. fortunately short for others brutally. Long six months or longer in this. I'd i'd i'd corona virus circumstance and the reality is the power the pivot when mean when i talk about. That is something. I talked about back in. Two thousand eight through twelve with the pivot was a lot harder than because we were in a cyclical economic downturn. Do the banking scandals and the result of that era was that it felt like for a significant period of time. There was nowhere really easy to turn today. Though is very very very different. Where even within industries there are people have been thriving. Well have struggled either as business owners or as workers and so if you think about how concentrated. The hardship has been during this pandemic related recession. Where certain things have been just job. Categories brutalized and others. People are doing great but even within the categories where things have been so tough thing about restaurants. How many restaurants have failed. How many restaurant tours. Who worked so hard to build up their dreams and they got crushed by corona virus and then at the same time i saw a story in the new york times how pizza anybody who sold pizza had the best business year in their history over the last year. Pizza tends to be unless you go to some fancy dancy pizza place. Pizza tends to be cheap. It's a lot of people and it was perfect and made to order for delivery. I read a story about a fancy french restaurant. I don't remember where. I read this both fancy french restaurant where they knew they were going down. They were done and then one of them said you know what all these pizza places are doing so great. Why don't we come up with french. Themed pizza and they found a brick oven pizza oven and they started making these french theme pizzas and they deliver them and they've survived. They're not thriving but they've survived to live another day. That is the power of the. Have i read yet. Another story about how restaurant tours that have survived this year or going out now and getting locations for pennies on the dollar where other restaurants have shuttered and as we have more more shots and people's arms you know eating out. It's going to be something people are going to want to gravitate back to who missed. We're social animals. Most of us. We missed that. We've missed that joy kris. Daddy say joy. Vive how do you say that. I do believe schwab to be thank you. We have missed that. I can't pronounce english no way i'm pronouncing something in a foreign language so there are people that are preparing to have locations at much lower overhead in many cases with abandon very valuable kitchen equipment chairs. Everything they need to re-open theme restaurant bat again is the power. The pivot in jobs. I talked about this recently. How many different job categories people were begging for workers and pay his going up while the job category. You may be an working in a hotel Working in most restaurants working in any kind of tourism thing Dad flat on your back concert business. Anything like that you know. I read recently. Sports teams professional. Sports teams have been laying off huge percents of their staffs because they've had no rear ends and seats. And even though tv accounts for such a big share revenue for so many professional teams fans actually do matter in the money they spend and so people who have skills that they may have gotten in sports management school that skill. The you have can be used in so many other kinds of activities promotional activities sales for so many industries where people are thriving
"french" Discussed on The Final Furlong Podcast
"In yes there has the same here as well. That was actually pointed out to me by just a couple of weeks ago as we were talking about possible comebacks that has obviously it because it's not classified as a sport not has sped things up but it's been frustrating time and it's been a hurtful time for the industry in the UK and Ireland. And I presumed the same can be said for France. It's been absolutely terrible. Time for the industry. You're in France as well mainly for obviously like everywhere for the smart tables and medium size stable with you know. Medium ranch owners Big stable I haven't really been affected. I was reading an article. Chocolate woozy. Basically accept that there was no racing. He hasn't been really affected but some of the more stable where the trainers old some of the whole season part of the whole season. I've been struggling really and they're still at the moment of the discussion about the price Manila. It's going to be. Is He. Going to be kept on not in full is as it was the plan. They've already planned to cut the money. Of the BLACKTOP Tracy's eastern a obviously group racine by thirty percent and falls go wanted to the rest of the ratios by keep a moment discussion because if they do that with the on. Belva races and cutting prizemoney. Many people are not going to survive so This many discussion going on at the moment and hopefully the prize money. We look good down that much and the model is different than fronts. Because it's the party meet you all so yes. There is more of a funding from the bedding industry. That in a way will. We'll help things you would like to think. But we've already seen KIP. Go have pulled out a sponsorship. Due to the fact that she had spending mostly some in America his wife is Californian so there he's GonNa spend most of his time. There and Arlington Fronts are suffering at at that because co-sponsorship will be gone They will continue in the United Kingdom. Which is fantastic for their fantastic for the UK but pretty devastating for Arlington and the UK champions weekend for example was very heavily dependent on that money. Is there other sponsorship issues? As well in terms of resuming the sponsorship had any shoes except except issue but but the trouble in France. Is You know. The founding of racing comes from the being shops around the country. Most of them are going to remain closed at the moment Because you can back in in shops in France in You know where the tobacco newspaper nor the shops many of the places where people can bet on racing agreeing to remain closed until at least the end of. May beginning of so. This is a big issue opinion. Working on it with the governments and different organization tried to have as many shops re-open so that's the problem of funding of funding at the moment The racing in France. You see kind of a double blade. I should say a problem because nobody teaching no funding for racing and steal us. Pay The trainers and your news for the ratio are going to take place. So there's a Hue. And all the race courses that are being given the green light the go ahead so the French police intervened and Said Party. Longchamp is okay. Are there other more? High Profile racecourses though that won't be allowed no. I do not think so all the big cities in France. We're racing. He's supposed to resume and thinking of Marseille to lose Baldo this you're going to be only known. As waiting western France debut been under green light and the same as being done for Strasbourg. Which is let's let's teach. Trust is a very important truck in France and trust brew is into probably the most affected area by various controls or was anyway but still has been given the green light so on on you know regarding race go sees a dope race groceries. It's going to be no problem. But all the provincial track going to remain curls at the moment and he's GonNa take base on the main trucks in the area and looking ahead to some of the races that we're going to get to see on sky on Monday Very obviously French centric. I is there a is there going to be a situation where Irish and UK runners can take part in France or. Are we a situation where everyone's just going to focus on their own racing for now? Is that the attitude from friends. That's that's the thing at the moment. Officially at the moment no foreign horse we'd be allowed to race in France and coach first of May and this is only a temporary. These kind of look down may be extended fought to reason the sanitary reasons I Which is not only to do with raising cheese. But they're so in terms of the a distributed to the races because because the first bout to try to keep alive some of the French Industry some some of the French trainers insurance. You keep them in a in a kind of from a financial point of view To keep emulate financially. That's what I'm trying to say so You see it's to reason for that so I don't know how long it's going to be close to foreign horses but it might be for a white and jess when you look at the races that we have coming up in the eleventh day on Sky Sports Racing predefined blue in particular as a race today DNA bring has not been shy of having runners in. Obviously he won't be able to now for.

"Really like what if what if I was thirty? Four X plus y divided by three or yellow. You know what I mean this is. This reminds me of the detective. You helped me see. I called you once all the detectives the steep when I was like dense cake and I didn't call you to say like rob helped me because I'm heartbroken but I was like. Hey if I know. I'm going to be heartbroken if I know I'm going to be down here. Build a shed down here or do something productive right. I know I'm going to be hurting for a while. So can I do something about it? and you helped me see. There is a detective in me. That is telling me something's not lining up. We need to get to the bottom of this year. I have a bunch of clues if you listen to me for a bit. I'll solve this and we won't have to feel this way anymore. So of course we're like yes detective. Please solve this right. You helped me and I was kind of angry at the fact that I'm like if I see the game why can't I just solve it? Why do I have to suffer? Yeah if intellectually I can get past it why why am I still stuck in? You helped me see. There is a detective. But you're like just like you said what if the detective lines all up in like this is exactly how it happened right. How do you feel right? Why did this person break my heart? Well they suffered horrific abuse throughout their childhood. Yeah that's why they broke your heart like certain times the answers or another answer. They had their heart broken. And they're stuck in a pattern and they're scared and that's why they blew up that relationship right. You're you're in exactly the same space that you were. The answer is incredibly seductive. But it left you exactly the same place with a little part of your mind. Maybe slightly satisfied with that tidbit. But it's almost like the entire experiences inviting you to sake from your mind down into your heart and then feel it right and bear it and then you have the chance of coming out the other side. Is that some trans logic right there. Well I do think at least for me I am. I skimmed across the surface of things for years for lots of reasons. But just keep moving. Just keep silent just keep phenome- show just keep giving people amazing facts because if you slow down and feel it. Yeah who knows what that'll be so that's been over the past few years especially did you. I didn't I didn't know what to do with my anger. I didn't know what to do with my with the pain. Yeah they're just keep just keep moving in. Do you have a rubble? Do I have a rebel. Yeah do I have people that. With Belle isle. Yeah Yeah Yeah. Yeah I have lots of lots of people but I know rank. Yeah I don't think it's I I am. Somebody's like a girl who's higher up the mountain. You think about that way. Yeah I've learned as much from you just now when you got here today we were talking and then this interview all learn as much from this as anybody. Yeah so so. The ranking thing doesn't work for me anymore. It's funny because it implies that there's some person whose it puts people farther ahead or farther behind or farther. None of those work for me anymore. Hopefully they all split me in separate me from this experience. We're all having here together. So this person knows very helpful. Maybe I have a little bit to give this person fine. I'd be happy to give. That brings me great joy. That is fascinating. Yeah so I don't see it like that. Yeah and even now getting to be in this person's president I get to be in the guy at my favorite Taco place. I love him so much when I go there to my favorite Taco place. We were just there pressing. Kristen and Friday night for dinner and he stopped at the table. He works there and he always says okay. Today the wisdom is and he dropped something on us some plays pump. He has little phrases so that used. I used to have it that way. I cry in the presence of an Lamont. I that just all went away. That went away. Don't have that anymore did you. Everybody is interesting. Did you stop because you have used language like that before where you like? As long as I'm just one step ahead of the pain. Yeah what made it so you find? Did you slow down in? Yeah Yeah slowed outside. Yeah I slowed down shift big time. Can you talk about happen or what that looks like a long slow gradual? You can go into that place. It's terrifying when you can go there and you can follow it and it starts somewhere in you for me. It started with like I. I can go to therapy. And then that would have been fifteen years ago. I could go and then gradually you're starting to find out that these places within you you can you can dig it up and talk about it and and then gradually works. Its way outside so then I do not want to tell that person the truth I have been trying to keep people happy and I don't want to disappoint anybody so long that if I tell them the truth they might. I might be leading them down. They might so then ever-so-gradually. I started to be more honest with people. I called the last ten percent. Ooh and that's and that's that's how it's been like less gradual. That's why that's why the modern age really really created such which is what everybody has to extend themselves so much. Grace we had the birth of machines levers pulleys look these light switches so you just turn it now. It's on but soul spirit growth in your awareness and consciousness much better think about it like agriculturally like you plant a seed and it grows takes a while. Yeah and so for so many people that I just give me the four steps because this whole beautiful modern world with hospitals and airports and iphones and podcast recording equipment. You know what I mean. It was. It was built around. Push this button and make this happen. But the actual shaping of a person into a particular kind of person who can bear the immensity of life. Yeah and still smile that that takes a while so so your question is wonderful but when I look back there are these moments along. The way is also just to get another little insight. You get another somebody comes along and they helped you see another little bit and then you see somebody who's just doing something doesn't seem to care whatever the rules were in that little space. And you're like oh I guess there's less rules. There's even less rules than I thought it's like you're just picking up these little pieces bit by bit by bit. I love that sense. I think that's so important for people to hear that some of these things they take a long time absolutely and there are things right now that are blowing my mind like yeah there are places. I'm like I could be even more. I can be freer I could. I didn't even begin to understand that. Now I feel like I'm just ever so slightly. Yes feel younger and more curious and more blown away stuff. Yeah I yeah. Yeah Yeah I just finished a book yesterday I won't even that's a whole nother thing that just had me like what I don't hear. I tried telling Kristen. And she was like I was like I literally. Yesterday she was like Doesn't really connect with me because I was just like so excited but I hadn't even. I don't even know why this thing moved me so much. Who So it's all jumbled in me even why it struck a Chord? It was very very down the heart. Yeah so that happened yesterday. I finished this book and now I I will be trying. It will start to like mortgage way and so it never ends. That's why that's why it gets better and better. Most people don't know that they don't know that you can. Actually it can get better and better and better and you can get looser and freer more flexible. I'm moving my shoulders room for some reason like you do. When you're sort of feel you don't even have seen yeah. I think I'd last time I was over here. I said you look more useful than you ever have definitely feel it. Yeah it's very kind of you. But that's the thing like what you've been describing in. This episode is moving from a heaviness to lightness. Yes moving from. There's a whole bunch of rules to actually create the thing from. I'm living in a van. What happened to Van? Yeah anything you see me do that. I see I'm just holding a mirror up backup to you that's you that's how it works. I'm so glad you took over the rob cast. How are we doing on time? Let's going to wrap it up. It's four this feels like this is so exciting. Feels like a good space. Feel so exciting time. And this is Brent French artist musician but as you can see human being brother fellow traveling companion. Yeah Well Rob. I want to say again. I know it's not true but I came here saying I have no right being here and I want I want to reiterate that for people listening because I think a lot of people can relate to that feeling so it's not it's not like a hey if I'm here anyone can be here. None of that matters at all. It is this paradox that I can finally speak to some authority that like oh I was just holding everything so tightly like white. Knuckling IF I were if I if I created something where enough people noticed I would finally have enough self worth to do something like this in. This is on the important because of what you mean to me in my life you know what? I mean So you asked me here is just is a tremendous honor to be here. I still can't believe it. I'm just I'm so thankful to even share this base with you and your family. I love so much and I feel the same way. That's crazy truly truly authentically. Yeah Yeah you know how I feel okay do a benediction is my favorite moments even from Mars days. May you brothers and sisters. May you all find yourself living in vans in Los Angeles one day for whatever reason metaphorical vans whatever van you currently find yourself in. Be there be there fully. Yeah thank you so much for this opportunity. I'm so happy to be here the amazing..

"french" Discussed on Travel with Rick Steves
"Back with us today on traveled Rick Steves after a book tour in France where the book has been translated into French for the French to learn about their own language. Apparently they join us now from the C._B._C. Studios in their home city of Montreal Bonjour those this is so fascinating that you write a book as Canadian French speakers so you're fluent in French but you're not actually French. How did that help you with your teaching mission of the book? You must have had a little more empathy with the rest of US tourists going to France who who may have learned some French language in school but we might be clueless about the fine points well the funny thing is that that that even though we speak French and and I'm I'm just I'm not a native French speaker learned French in school as well but even though we're fluent French speakers and very familiar with French culture we still have these terrible misunderstandings with the French and the origin of the book was to sort of get to the the root of why we go expecting perfect communication and we want to indulge in the art of French conversation and we get there and it just doesn't work so for a french-speaking Canadian you could fly to France thinking yeah I speak the language and realize oh but I don't speak the culture and even for me because I am I my mother tongue is French but my culture is not French from France so what what's an example of a surprise when you finally do get to France and you realize Oh. I guess I'm not quite as fluent as is I want to be the French the <hes> no all the time for anything this their default answer the North America and that's true for French Canadians. We tend to take a no for no for the French D._C.. No sometimes just because they they're afraid of making a mistake so d prefer saying no because for the French country North Americans being liked as not that important to them. It's not being at fault that matters so saying no is that the right thing to say in the case of the friendships <hes> often for for fear of ridicule for example not knowing not knowing and France is ridiculous. You're supposed to know so if they don't know their default. Answer is no because this they're anti ridicule shield. They put in front of them but the the important thing for travelers understand is that no is for the French doesn't normally mean you know the conversation is over. I mean they say it all the time. It was the beginning of a discussion about the beginning of a discussion and so it's up to you to sort of pull up your pants and keep trucking and keep talking into them until you get whatever you want so can I check out of the room at one o'clock instead of noon no well then you talk about it a little bit and eventually you know if they're going to change their mind. They'll change their mind is just they had a chance to to sort of creep into the reality that they might bend the rules for you. You're explain your situation. It works that win some motels and it's okay and then and then sometimes they react sometimes it's no because it's not possible and you get that answer the United States as well that you should expect affected start with now. I get the sense that the French just lake to discuss and even debate things I mean consensus is kind of boring. Let's talk about it. Let's let's spice it up. Oh yeah the conversation with them. You know it's a story to Julie likes to to tell that we were at to suffer and we were very North American. We're very polite so we're giving our point of U._S.. Quebeckers and you know being polite and being nice at one point. Jill realizes that you know we're boring yeah so she she produces an enormity. Take the discussion is about Art Deco and she says oh I think our fascist just like that and they say oh yes just takes off like a bonfire in the conversation gets rolling but if you behave yourself in your tonight right and to agreeing to much looking for consensus and sharing things and stuff they find that doll and the traveler is inclined to be polite and kind of mooring just because they don't WanNa make a full pond they just they wanna be agreeable but in France the the way away their education is at school in families the value a lot what they call <hes> concern out of their general knowledge is to Rearte and and so north Americans these kinds of things tend to view it a little bit elite elite display too much general culture with regard that person as elitist and people who have a lot of general culture tend to hide it so that's not a socioeconomic thing people have any class could be well-versed in politics and history and literature and so on so the do welcome that as for North Americans have a lot of <hes> culture along those lines. It's actually quite relaxing to be embarrassed because you could just talking about that and people will be immediately interested but different come off as showing off a little bit because they like to display their knowledge but it's really part of how they raise. Our kids were in school. The year we were researching this book and we saw how the education system really promotes it. Our daughters were asked to one day do a presentation on the ten years old a French classic painter and we got back to North America and the project. Was You know pick your favorite body part and talk about it. I mean it's just radically different but they're trained this way and it's highly value just can sort of set off foreigners. You're expecting something more humble but I always think it's kind of like show and tell on Monday morning when you're in fourth grade. You're not better than somebody else. You just want to show them. What you learned the other day or what you did or what you've got and I think in France that that stimulates the conversation it's delightful part about France? It's something to talk about in. They like talking taking bets stuff so you know opinions and facts. They like lots of content in their conversation. Our guest today on traveled to Steve's or John Been WanNa don't and Julie Barlow their husband and wife team of Canadian writers based in Montreal after a decade of living in France they wrote up what they had discovered about the unwritten rules beyond vocabulary about speaking French in France rather than in Canada. Their book is the Boozer Affect and it helps us understand the subtext and what's expected when speaking in France. Let's we have a link to their website with this. Week's show and it's at Rick Steves dot com slash radio now Julian Sean Ben. What you I understand translated your book? The Bonjour Affect into French and you just got back from a tour. We're a France what was it like as Canadian teachers and writers and french-speakers going to France with a book that was supposed to explain how their languages different than in other cultures. I was afraid to little little bit that they would be a good defensive. You know but they were very warm to it to us. In fact we did a lot of very long interviews like forty five fifty minutes on Radio T._V.. Newspapers and their reaction is one of curiosity they. You're not necessarily conscious of what the project and since our book is very honest in the sense that we take our perspective very clearly our perspective as North Americans find it interesting because it gives them a perspective on North America. They could learn about themselves to who I suppose as well indeed. Were they humble about that. Did they go. That's were surprised weaver in a journalism class. One day there was a student who got up in front of the class and said you know I I didn't really believe you these things about border or you know this word that you have to say on and we have a whole chapter both how how necessary it is to save on show and he said so I I went and tested it and I went into my my bookstore in my neighborhood and I didn't say more than saw what would happen indeed. No one talks to you if you don't start the conversation with phones rule and he said I felt so uncomfortable and he said you know you're right. We we have this word that we have to news unblock every kind of communication and they might not have realized that had they not had the exposure from somebody from faraway. It's related to my theory that you learn about your own culture when you leave it because you can look at it from afar and you can gain a perspective that other people have on us and you might not even realize that when you're immersed in the middle of it you mentioned in your book how the French they don't talk about money but sexual innuendo is it's no problem at all yeah. They're not afraid on making a comment to that effect. One of the reasons why the North Americans think that they are very libertine is the fact that the place of women in that society has always been peculiar French women have had civil rights a bit later than than American women but in fact Frenchwomen in society in conversation. I've had a stipend this place for centuries so it's very interesting Frenchwomen worked a lot earlier in numbers so in France their relationship between men and women was not something confined to the home. It was something that was publicly for a long time. It's funny because at once you have a culture that many North American women seems kind of sexist partly because the jokes about sex or are they make them easily in public. You know it can be a little off putting for for North American woman at the same time they have a society. That's very very well organized for women for the parents but let's be honest for women with you know school it starts very early guaranteed daycare and a whole bunch of services in place that make it easy to work and have kids at same time and a larger proportion of women work outside of the home in France and there's also the a long history of French women being more part of the conversation in the culture the participate as equals and of course in the conversation. The French aren't looking for consensus so you don't have couples that are sort of together projecting acting one point of view you know have couples who are arguing in front of everybody and so you know women have to Sorta step up to the bad. I guess it's it's interesting because socially the place of women is has been high for a long time and Frenchwomen bylaw retain their birth name on there a civilian their official registry but when we went to get our residents card Julia surprised to see her name Julia Barlow wife now he poos and <hes> interesting because a couple years back the made loss who forbid terms like Ben Mozelle and you know it was sexist but then on the resident card the after have the feel obliged to write barlow wife Nedal. They argued with him. I said I'm not you know I. I don't even have his name and they said Oh. That's the way things are done. It's still kind of sexist. This is travel with Rick Steves. We're talking about the French culture in the French language with Julie Barlow and John bete-noire NATO and a few of our listeners sent us a snapshot of their experiences in France in the form of a travel Haiku Eric Brennan of Saint Petersburg Florida sends us this daydream Haiku about an upcoming.

Because that's just so, yeah, you're only one workout away from a good mood. These people do not understand the word good. So let me see a celebrity special. We love those here. That's trim towers. Don't count the days make the days count. Who counts days arbitrarily? Counted for reason if counted don't don't count the days. Oh, how many days did he go on holiday? So that's some some validity to that must be who's also the CEO of many things that have been accepted because they rhyme so him and Andrew dice clay, very good. "Oh, he Ciragan the man with the child in his office. She replace for kid. But that's why I got little babysitting work. It's me Eddie, French this tell you all about my last week and the healthwise actions I had taken so coming from this week's episode. You can hear more about my series on Burmese tofu and the variance standoff an update on how proper ace I am nunchucks and also about my ventures in Yorkshire landscape, all this and more on French trip with Eddie French. Still getting used to the full massive out wasn't the parents. So my main exercising this week was in the form of more of my lovely walking. I actually have a pair of walking boots and some of those big socks have to wear with them. So you can earn enough X P to jewel, we'll those ski sticks of the professional walkers. The overactive aged us. So I've been giving just under four miles a day most days, and that's pretty nice as I live in a great bit of countryside and walking down a hill near me, syncs up with adventures in a Yorkshire landscape by people deluxe very nicely. Those who follow me on Instagram might have seen that. I used the song in story on that this week. It's just so, you know, I know more than just punk rock. Although for the record. I'm still punk is fuck so walking is good and not actually exercise in its purest and most diabolical sense and probably doesn't make the most interesting podcast. I could do a live episode. Roy narrates the entirety of my walk describing all the details of the. Grouse and the trees and the. Cars that might be too much. Like one of the pages of Lord of the rings. That are seen. Everyone skips over Vasan the Elvis poetry every other fucking page. Anyway, the walking is good. And it makes me feel like could actually done something during the day. But I don't think it burns that many calories or what have you? So it might be a good habit to have. But I don't know if it's a particularly efficient form of exercise, but on nice days. It's nice, nice terribly. Mundane word never mind. A more intensive exercise feeling thing. I am enjoying his nunchucks again. So now about fifty eight percent more alpha and Butch and a source of Tepe envy to all those listening belly even hit my balls anymore. And I'm able to sustain my Chuck usage notably longer than I used to say I can do it for. Very long, but stamina has increased notably which I think is a sign of improvement Bora sign the talk in no longer feel pain or boredom like I used to. Because I gave out smoking weed like ten years ago, anyway, I actually visited my doctor the other week, and guess what she told me guess what she told me. She said boy, you'd better have fun because we're gonna try reducing your anti-depressant slightly. She set out of that because she knows fan of prints. Have. I'm still punks fuck so hopefully that will allow me to learn to control my own mood a bit next week's episode will be my first liver to you on twenty milligrams of Sitel. So that's the same as Christmas special. I think it's pretty pretty much the same. Same thing. Jink Jingle Bells. On some more interesting things I've received literally dozens dozens I mean zero comments letters and smoke signals telling me just how grateful and lightly. Titillated you were on my new holistic slash nutrition slash dietitian section that. I call didn't Dinh's I've been trying different seasonings for the Burmese tofu trying to give it different flavors of putting in chili powder. I've been putting in paprika or something like that. And recently, I produced the greenest batch yet not environmentally friendly understand because I add today a Kelly shake protein powder mix which had sort of had pound avocado and coconut sugar and flex protein or something like that. And the idea of a making it into a drink made me want to leap dick, I into a whole kaneohe. Because sounds awful. And it say, very vivid green. Now, the the Bemis toe for I thought I'm not going to waste this powder by it, and it's probably edible. So I put it into that. He's tofu. It looks like the frog should be sat on it singing rainbow connection. It's absolutely foul. It's yeah. It's not an example of culinary alchemy. That's I'm keen to repeat so keep your eyes peeled. We is keep your ears hollowed for updates on that it should be all very exciting. Thankfully, I won't have to eat it for a while or ever. Now. I think about it not only because I don't have to do anything on that one too. But also because I'll be doing a nother food supplement review on next week's episode because Senate exciting, and there's an offer I saw on social media. So so easily lead. But it should be fun. It's it's more shake powder rattling role sort of you know, makes it in a Cup and an avid instead of food sort of thing. So, but this one sort of wait, what's your style in this? It is to them and then one meal a day. So I'm going to see how that works. Speaking of easily leads let's have a little dip in the pool as we splash around in the cool refreshing quotation. Nephew this week. Is this your episode, but these are going to be more updates with slightly longer ones. When I've done something you've any great interest. So, you know, look forward to that.

"But nobody nobody know. So so my aims for this coming week is to get back to the walking and do some more strength things. Maybe some planking the non nunchucks stuff. I like as well because that's a lot of all movements largely because of convinced myself that I have no upper body strength also ever. Lecomte believe that's true. But I think I'm developing something of a complex about not being able to do a press up. And I don't know if that's a healthy thing to do. Sometimes I can get slightly obsessed with my Bill do not do things Botts. We'll find out. I'll try to be try to be kind to myself self cabinets thing, isn't this doubt. Anyway. That's all for this week. I'll be back next week with some more of the usual. Whatever the usual is going to be where making the usual good, isn't it with making the usual. No company would ever have that as a slogan? Hi with French is making the usual making the new usual ask it, isn't it making the new usual. I'm looking into making habits now suppose, I think maybe able to do that better than the gimme king an exercise each week and then being sneer. Yeah. About this that works a little bit. But I think this is probably. Duda them on. I can also be a little more honest about wartime able to achieve more. So I'm not so I also I like food more than exercise. So this is a nice episode. I might add some more. More of my my recent my recent favorites foods my favorites yet. My recent favorites eating out meal on the go. I'll tell you about that next time. "Thank you very much for coming to the new streamlined, French trim podcast. Hopefully, I can be streamlined as this one day to do. Please forgive the delay in the release some weekends. Very busy for me in this can lead to more leisurely approach to making episode show. We put up. As dan's. I'm still Eddie French. Hello, thanks for being here. Thank you for coming back. Thank you. Try trying. Get outs. It's not about jumping point to be honest because it's a slightly different version, but to go back and listen to the rest of it. If you're intrigued by this one so. Lovely have you this past week has actually flown by for me? I spent a half of it in Cornwall went to visit my girlfriend. I was also lucky enough to be supporting tiny law on the red roof dates of his UK tour, which is very cool. Some stand up down there, which I was doing. I'm fortunately. Show biz being is Tony was actually doing the York data his tore that night, which meant I ended up doing an hour. I'm was the only act on swings roundabout saying to be fair that set did a camp eighty five percent of that day's step counts, according to my app. So that's pretty great set. And so I'd like to thank Tony for his loose knowledge of his own diary, which is directly contributing to my less sedentary lifestyle. Thank you. Tony here. A good, man. Unfortunately, this is probably been countered by these sixteen hours of driving to get to cone woollen back. Six hours. They're totally fine normal ten hours back though, ju to the one being close to certain points and some horrible incidents of other drivers had on the road wasn't ideal. Because I drove from my girlfriend's book place where I dropped her off to start had day of work straits leads. I would have gone home. I would have been able to have had a bit of a bit of arrest. Bit of shakeouts, but straits leads where I did a geic the carriage works with the discount company checkouts as a rather unusual side notes. I actually invites it's Teri Hatcher TV's, Lois lane, and one of the OG desperate housewives to come and see the show as I had on very good authority that she was at the Leeds college of music for some reason or other that night's our she concert checked Twitter as I received nervous bonds as of this episode's release. We'll send you the recording. So this. This has caused me to be a bit less inclined to all of the moon Ving about and stuff. So what does this got to do with my health while I'm not sure, but everything is a symptom of something or other? So. Haven't done anything too strenuous this week largely because I've spent most of my with my girlfriend spoiling nice time with some exercise and the vegan all-day breakfast. I ate in Fallon with was probably a little more junk food than I should have been indulging in. But what is life without simple, pleasures and hashbrowns? What is what is life without hashbrowns? The the unhatched browned life is not worth living as the man said. Me. I I said, I am I'm the man the man who loves hash Browns. Sh- brown. In order to try and found that out a little bit. I have happened upon a new and simple addition to my recipe book, that's making me quite happy. It's cooled Burmese tofu is not actually tofu. An I don't know if it is from Burma or not, but it's not so food in that it is soil. So that's pretty good for people who cons, eat soy. If you're not eating soy because you think that plums hormones are the same as mammalian hormones. Than just grow up. It's also gluten free for those of you can't eat gluten. And if you don't eat gluten because you heard it's bad few than grow up. So the basic recipe as I'm gonna be doing missing cups. I'm not usually accustomed to using cups, but it is actually quite handy to just use a mug and then use not for ratios so one Cup of gram flour, which is made from chickpeas or goblins. Oh beings. But have you want to call them? I'm one Cup of cold water, sift the flour as clumps like a busted. And then at the Walter whiskered all up in a big bowl. So the flower has fully dissolved in the water after that just let it sit for ten minutes or so like, you would pancake batter or similar bring two cups of water to the boil in pan. And then once it's rolling boil ten the heat down to a medium, and pour in you'll flower wall to mix and stir it with a wooden all silicon spoon for. For eight to ten minutes. It'll thicken up really really quickly. But you need to cook out the flour like a Roo or a shoe pastry so thing so keep it on the medium, heat and make sure all of against make sure you get a little bits. If you leave a little clump somewhere little anyone any favors and went to any home. But it's nice to get a good consistency outs. So once that's done. You can pull us out into a shallow tray and leave. It's a cool once his cool enough to puts in the fridge, then do that and leave it ideally, overnight Walser will come out of it as as if up so you can keep on just pouring off the excess mopping it up with a paper towel or Tietao or something like that. Obviously that is to ingredients, and is the most basic version so seasoning is have the fun begins. So I see in the dry with the dry seasonings and the water with the wet seasonings because. Because I'm just naturally gifted in the signs of gastronomic as I'd said to season the chickpea flour with salt pepper, humorous smoked paprika, garlic powder onion powder. Various herbs. Sage in the like, if you sort of a chicken seasoning, kind of five us good the water in the pan brother unpleasantly named liquid seasoning, very vague. But that's quite good fit some liquid smoke in there as well. If you want to give it a bit more of. Sort of a a Polk seasoning kind of angle offered a bit of date syrup in that as well some vinegar and some Henderson's relish never skimp on the hen does always good. And it's a good good Yorkshire company. So weld on them. It's pretty bland without any seasoning. But with some of it pretty nicely case, you're good few days as well. It's good Chilton to chunks and added into added onto a salad king put the dressing, whatever. Whatever flavorings you put on that in that works out pretty nicely. It can be fried. But it needs to left still because otherwise this sort of fried bit comes away from the rest of it. So you leave all of the fried stuff in the pan, which can be obsessing butts. W for it to leave it for while. It will come loose when it's naturally dumb. So it's pretty good fulfiling up. It's decent protein levels as well as chickpea based which is important for macro 's apparently macro is very important. If you got a macro, I think you can get even my I don't know. From my understanding macro 's protein, you fascinating carbohydrates and working out how much of each of the you know, what percentage of your daily intake. Calories should be for each one. I suppose. There's no fats in it. So that's nice carbohydrates. But

"Think I've given something away of my mental health St. this past couple of weeks could be better. But not the worst. I'm going to Cohen wool the week. This episode is released which is the day after I recorded it. Nice giggle to down there and see my girlfriend and see some of my friends down there, which will be very very nice and on the Friday night. I come back to Leeds of got a gig as well. So very nice come see me at the carriage works with discount company. Checkout improv group a long day of driving and then a gig. Maine's they'll be a distinct lack of decent food eaten dam. Sure. So can hit some great stories about whatever it is. I did I've taken to his Atip few. I've taken to buying a pack of purpose, browsing broccoli from algae. And then eighths of reduced fat homeless half of that tub of hummus. With the purpose. Pricing broccoli. There's a tasty snack to have little shape of things to come there. So that we are hopefully the new formats switching to should help balance. Some things outs, and we'll sort things out and everything get a little bit smoother this new full month, by the way, it doesn't mean all never do exercise of the week style thing again, it just means that it won't be the main focus of the episode doing something for a week. Probably isn't allowing us enough time to benefit anyone anything. As this has gone on for fall to long this week already ongoing to leave quotation again for another time that will still be a regular thing, though is so much fun to drop it. "Is it fun yet new apart from the walking? That's still a good thing a lot walking. But no exercise is yet to be fun. It isn't fun. If it was the wouldn't use it as a punishment at school with. Thing. Oh, you still lose? A bit probably the binging. Geez. Haven't been a strong this last week, which is always a very good sign. And hopefully that continues to improve can I put it down to the exercise. I I dunno. If I can all not I think it would need to have a more prolonged periods have have an impact like that butts. As the Russell said, I'm living in hope. Quotes vacation. Finally, let's get a look at this quote evasion. Let's look. Unless you puke faint all die. Keep going. Well, that's good isn't that's the I'm fucking sick of this match. Oh bullshit. It's exactly the sort of thing that suggests some people shouldn't be prolonging their life and their by our suffering with exercise some really appalling people in the I mean, this is a bit like, the the bleeding is acceptable. And all this kind of thing I can't help but feel that this is verging on dangerous because if there are people who believe this than. Anyway. Train insane. No remain. The same train insane won the probably not mental. I am. So get say was like that. And they don't and also you can change yourself without doing something. That is insane. It's insane to cut your arm off. But you would be changed and you'd have lost some way as well. So who knows anyway? God. Yes, I feel pain. Knife stop there that could have been something quite profound in its own not really profound way. But but it continues. Yes. I feel pain. Yes. It burns like fucking Hal. I fucking love it. So let's just someone shouting really at least other toneless mooing from uninteresting quota, vases, these they at least make the pretends that said vice for everybody something to think about this is just some dildo bleating on about enjoying pain. I mean, I invented the hashtag kinky yourself clever. I'm full that. If that's what you like. But this one is just kinked themselves and knowing really s- also swearing, and it so really means it, you know. Yeah. Fucking Hal, actually. Yeah. I actually fucking love it honors normal love it. So I'm better exercise than you fucking love it. Yeah. Hash tied year question-mark awful people anyway. And finally the last one for today, this is a tributed this tributed sometimes a find ones that are attributed. This is attributed to a gym Conroy this quote reads as follows just remember somewhere, a little Chinese girl is warming out with your max. Now, this one is really odd. I'm going to assume that max refers to a maximum quantity or weight. So number of press up so wait of something lifted or what have you? And so I mean, either that or Conroy is sort of been caught gossipy abouts, relative of yours. This just come in from the snow with the Asian partner. Oh, the little Chinese girl woman that we all max. Oh love now. Oh, how long have you max been going out with their loved one now of awful? So the fact the could be a gossiping woman from West Yorkshire really does. Please me. But I'm guessing not. This Conroy chapter seem very keen for people to keep in mind. A conspiracy theory that China is producing little gills with the lifting strength of the average. Western Jim, go, huge if true, but I'm far from convinced. Although I do like the idea of wildly strong little Chinese girls. So yeah. Six zero nice pretty dress on maybe she's maybe she's a doll or soft toy that she likes and she just walks over lifts off a car checks under it puts it back down. Again, like the beginning. Like, the the just after Clark lines Ocala, Lonzo suppose in Kansas and save from the movie. All of course. And this is really far from what I imagine is true. And it's hardly worth mentioning really. But it could be that. This Conroy clown thinks that girls are inherently weak, and the Chinese are an example of a well acknowledged -ly week race. And he's just a pointless ballet, the thinks attempts at humiliation all the best method to inspire people. So either way if he choked on his way protein, I would find it difficult to have it affect my day. So there we go there's a particularly uninspiring collection of nonsenses. I'm sure that can be bought and framed from the internet for a very modest modest. I mean, quite quite extortionate fee. So there it is episode eight thank you so much for being here with me for the past two months. I'm I'm really I'm delighted that you have been as mental lot. I'm gonna plug it again full me on Facebook and Instagram French trim podcast and Email me on French trim podcast gmaiLcom with any questions or comments. You might have. But anyway, I'm Eddie French clearly, my problem, not yours CNN time. Bye. Bye. French trim podcast with devised by French. And he did everything that you just.

"It's about not wanting competition to come in. I mean, it's all of that. Depending on who you talk to this is the thing about to your question Felix. I mean, there is it's not really clear. What what you? In fact, I'm interviewed as she lays young guy who lives in Paris, who's one of their propaganda. She does all like the Facebook, you know, videos and things like that when they occupied a Starbucks, for instance. And and they all look really jolly there a lot of them were ordering, you know, they're there for euro per to and then the, but so you ask him he doesn't care about the gas tax. He just thinks we need to get rid of this this sort of the rich and the elite macro represents that. I mean Macron is he is a product of that, you know, the the the the elite schooling in France, which you know, it's not like Harvard. I mean, they're like sixty people year that go to these universities these schools. I'm they're extraordinarily. And they're they're very often from privileged backgrounds. I think it's like eighty percent or seventy percent of the mar-. So so it's there's a there's a sort of rise up against and this is what kind of actually links it with what we've seen in the United the populism of the United States or in the U K or an Italy. In fact, in many respects, what's happened with in Italy with the the league and the five star movement is that government in Italy right now, basically looks like the leg zone in power. It's not it. It's it's on the one hand it wants to kick out immigrants in the other hand, it's very liberal and the basic income basic income. I mean, it's really it's kind of. Really interesting if the gymnasium insofar as they have kind of vision of what they want. It's not dissimilar to the Italian government. So let's ask you that. Like, how's the Italian government doing? Well, you know, there, you know, there's a spat between the French and the Italians quite interesting the French pulled their Basser. I mean, so Salvini and Demeo who the to the co guys running. It'll even though it's contests. The is the prime minister under the deputy prime ministers have both insulted the French on numerous occasions. They for instance. Okay. I love him already. Well, yeah. I think I mean, maybe you guys talked about this where they went after the French franc, the African Frank, right? And said this is you know, keeping Africans poor all any number. So they they are really they are representing this sort of anti elite. I mean, so domestically is it working out for them know, the economy's is actually not doing very well. And and and I. Had the opportunity to interview content. The prime minister when he was in Davos a place. I know you you guys have on tablets. But he, and we said his argument was look you can't right now all this is the previous government previous government. These are you have to wait to see our universal. They don't call universal. But it's like the demon. So the radio whatever it is this idea of basic income all that kicks in in the spring. He saying just wait until the spring. Everything's gonna be great. And he's gonna do universal basic income starting this. How much is it going to any? They don't have. Yes. It's like less than thousand euros a month. I think maybe it's eight hundred and I think they're like four million Italians that may qualify for. Universalism. Yeah. It's not universe universal. It's basically a basic income. That's not quite universal. And and they say once this kicks in everything's gonna be hunky Dory. Of course, by them. We may have it's Italy. So they'll be another government, right? And so in terms of popularity of they retained some of the popularity swat that, you know, put them into power. Yes. Unlike macro, so Macron, you know, won the election. He was super popular when he was issue..

"Is it fun yet? Well, the ongoing dog walking is fun fun. I mean, fine February is felt like may so far. So it's been a chore. It's been sunny. It's been pleasant. It's been very little in the way of rain. It's been very nice to walk around park. So walk around lanes near my parents house and take the dogs over get the seven minutes, fitness out, wasn't fun. But it didn't last long enough to become truly dreadful. I'm skeptical only seven minutes a day can make much of a difference. But I know nothing of the science of exercise, and it has millions of downloads and great reviews and seems to be very well received. So. Apparently, I don't think I'm so clever and insightful as to. Found the whole, oh, this is the one minute day workouts? You can't workouts in one minute. He's foiled us not my but. This is the closest I've ever been to working out in the commonly accepted. These days the close up into working out. And I'm not impressed. It does seem to be largely about Vanisi. But that being said I have a pud cast. So who's the vein man now of net? I've I've made lots of claims in this show or ready in its short seven episode life. But not once I claim to not be a hypocrite. To lay. Oy, probably perhaps a bit less. So having dogs is nice, but nice isn't an exercise so of not been cheered up necessarily by the exercise. But by having dogs, especially when adore is on the lead. She is brilliant. However, the MO the modest binging. I've been doing suggests the I'm not. Any better rarely, but these things come and go not hopefully, I'll be better this week. But I'm certainly not in trouble or anything just don't worry about that. That's fine. But I tend to do very low level self-harm, which is mainly just eighteen Fawzi much. It will get me in fifteen years. I've got fifteen years the ten around. "Request API's instead of the older web request API web request API is going to stick around for now. If you remember that would have limited or broken how. Many adblocker extensions worked. So all that talk that we had ended up with go street convincing chrome to pull it back and things are just going to stay for ad blocking extensions the way, they have at least for now. All right. Let's talk a little bit about an interesting. Use of streaming video going on in France, Patrick. Yeah. A number of French twitch and YouTube channel producers have rent bended together to organize lube home. They battle. Which is a Frenchman kind of funny. But anyway, inviting members of the French government to discuss social and political issues with citizens and influencers the discussions were streamed on twitch, mainly and YouTube and incorporated interactions with chatrooms you initiative follows young rest and Sheila zone movement and the countrywide gone. They bought that. The government is organizing to consult the people over a period of several weeks is so what's the pun is much. Sounds like random late became granny that we don't care. All right. So the goal is the title of that big debate consultation that the government is putting together and the verb to debate. When said in the first person, I plural person is they don't. So that means it's like, the let's debate. All of us together using the basic, the exit pun. You can't explain. I mean, it doesn't make it funny. When you explain it trust me. But when I get it now, I now understand contact, right? Yeah. So so the idea here being that while the government is doing its own events to to to extend the debate and have discussion about how France should work. This was an effort to kind of bring in younger folks, YouTube creators, what what did this end up being? Yeah, I think what was noteworthy in this. It was a eleven hours of debate. With members of the actual cabinet of the government, not the president himself. But the prime minister also took part in some of it. And the interesting part was that there were a lot of actual content creators from YouTube aimed at young people. Some political some not political at all there were a twitch dreamers, and you know, citizens students high school students cetera et cetera. And so this is this is really an effort from the from what I understand from those twitch YouTube channel producers to get the youth interested in the debate about the future of the country. Now, whether or not it was an exercise in in PR for the government, which some people have said, I think the initiative is interesting to to go where the young people are so on a scale of from Hello fellow teenagers to hey, that's cool. This fall. I think the the format and the form was very cool. And I will let the substance of it to the appreciation of each person who will probably appreciate the differently depending on their political leanings. I think the format works surprising. The end the people who participated in the debate the. Creators in citizens had interesting questions and and discussions. Well, another news Amazon, Amazon's everywhere, but you might not know that it is operated a joint venture in China since two thousand four as a way to buy imported goods caging reported Tuesday that Amazon isn't talks to merge its China business with another cross border shopping platform called Kayla run by China's net ease Amazon had six percent of China's import shopping business, willow behind eases Kayla Alibaba's t mail global and JD dot com merging with Amazon would also be a way to boost kill inventory..

"Is it fun yet? Well fund is strong word, but it's quite nice. Of course, it's the most time consuming activity and not the most practical in that regard, not limited time consuming activity ever. But the most time consuming activity that I've done yet. So it, but it does offer variety, you can get different parks different places. And it's more social as well, you can ask friends and family along or incorporated into a bigger day of activities. I mean, I'm hardly reinventing the ill here. There's a long history of Schalke tube fish, and I shall not be adding to its book there are many many benefits to this kind of activity. But there are calories to be burned here. And it's not absolute how can involve as few people as you want, which is all I'm really interested into fast. So there we have it. Kota version. Let's look. Lovely muscle soreness is the new hangover. Assuming they don't mean the new hangover film because really need another one of those. Hanging. Over is the result of basically poisoning. Oneself, isn't it? So the new hangover the new kind of poison is muscle soreness. Nice, isn't it? So also, I don't recall anyone demanding new hangover thing, we need a new hangover. I think people want rid of the existing one someone settlers over churning gotta thudding head thirty tongue and existential anxiety and thought MRs pretty good, but we could really do the two points overs. And I really think that's that's important. So muscle soreness is the hangover. I think it's also the symptom of flu let's not get too excited about muscle soreness, Shelley. Loose stools, the new hang up and treat your body like a temple treat your body. Like, it's simple. I do. I don't visit it nor do I believe in the institution that represents. I'm already well ahead of tracing my body like temple. I will make sweat my best accessory. I will run harder than my Muskoka. Okay. Well, this is someone who's put too much makeup on to do their exercises, isn't it? That's also if you know, you're going to be sweating, waterproof mascara is not difficult. Also, I don't even wear a scar. I wear eyeliner. Sure. I don't apply whilst running. So that's that's okay. I mean, not on here this broad is. But she's she doesn't have much of a clue I'm not claiming to the next zoo. Ella? Or possibly more up to date make up meet Uber. But. I know more than this person. Because what you do is if you are going to be sweating a lot. He finished sweating. You have a shower then put your warpaint on otherwise it's just stupid anyway, just getting pedantic about makeup. That's how that's how fundamentally uninteresting I do find sports and activists I will just resort discussing the best way to apply makeup instead. But that's that's that's this week's French trim. But I I am disappointed because I almost did think that this was going to be one that I may be something out of. But nope. For now. I used to fat boy. Oh, yes. Is it fun yet? No. But let's get to down. I'm not as bad as I might sound. I am amplifying some of these things because I do find it funny. The there is humor intended all of these. Whoa. Well, that says about me doesn't matter really. But if I couldn't make fun of it. It would have a much better chance of defeating me. So I will continue to make fun of it.
