"The protests outside the home of justice Kavanaugh continue. And while their peaceful protests, it's a little disturbing this idea that the left is able to show up at your house. You would think that there would be proper venues for these protests, but you wouldn't be able to come and harass someone where they live. And so you have this alarming scene of these sort of police officers with helmets and batons, and then all these protesters milling about them and shouting slogans and signs and so on. But that's not the worst of it. The worst of it is what the left is doing to these pregnancy centers. The pro life pregnancy centers around the country now life news, which is a pro life site, has documented 40 plus incidents of violence and vandalism directed at pro life individuals and organizations ever since the leak of the draft Supreme Court's decision. By the way, where is the leaker? How is it the case that you have this investigation and somehow you can't find the leaker who gave this information to the media? What? No. Let's look at these incidents because they are quite disturbing. Houston, early May, holy rosary Catholic Church vandalized on the pastor, faster Harris says most definitely it's a result of the leak that came out last week. So Catholic target but on by the pro abortion activists in early May, manassas, Virginia, vandals defaced a pro life pregnancy resource center, writing graffiti all over the building, abortion is a right, you people are liars, a whole bunch of incidents in Texas, early May Portland, Oregon, southeast Portland, pregnancy center. You can see the windows smashed as a photo here. There's the F word, debris everywhere. May 3rd, Frederick Maryland, the care net pregnancy center defaced with spray painted pro abortion messages that say pro abortion, go to PP, Planned Parenthood instead, abortion is a right. This is not a real clinic, and forced motherhood, and then one more example out of the 40, then I'll give you may 8th, Madison, Wisconsin. I left this so called anarchist group, attacks the Wisconsin family action office. They've tossed two molotov cocktails into the office after breaking windows, and then they set the office on fire.

"They're great Chris and Frederick Maryland how are you I'm great How are you Mark Pleasure to speak Very well Thank you You know on the topic of abortion I agree with you and wasn't a Reagan who said something like the people who are for abortion are hypocritical because he never met one who had actually been aborted something to that effect I don't think he said that but I do know that he signed a law as governor that allowed abortion For medical and rape exceptions and he said what happened then is hold on now and he said what happened then was people would get doctors excuses who had not been raped and didn't have real medical issues but they would use psychological issues as the exception And they drove a bus through he said Now I can understand those exceptions but the fact of the matter is we need to start with the truth And take it from there that these are human beings All right go right ahead Completely agree I just wanted to make the point I wanted to make the point earlier you were talking about free will and you're getting philosophical on the left position I just feel like as Republicans as conservatives as people who value this country to constitution and our faith we need to be able to reject the left premise reject the premise that they use because they always have a premise that is different from typically our premise We have to know our premise and be able to reject their premise Also I wanted to say in terms of free will like you were saying people would argue sometimes that you know capitalism promotes greed But that's sort of the same argument to say that free will promote sin In a way it does but it's still worth it You have to be able to use it wisely use it properly Capitalism there will always be greed when you have capitalism yes Just like there's always going to be sin when you have free will But you might think these are brilliant points but let me ask you something Don't bureaucrats and politicians promote great Do they ever have enough Right Do they ever have enough power Do you ever have enough control over our lives No The good ones will use it wisely And what about the real robber barons Aren't the real robber barons these committee chairman Isn't the real robber baron these days The man in the Oval Office who can decide not just issues of economics but law They can use the law to impose their will Most private businesses can not And they can't make the laws They can't just issue regulations against other businesses and against other private citizens So the central government has enormous powers which is why the constitution is set up the way it's set up And one man's greed is another man's medical invention Isn't it Interesting Some people become very wealthy by doing by doing fabulously humane things That save lives Right yeah and it's not necessarily agreed to be rewarded for good things that serve people That's what capitalism is all about You do something enough people want it and benefit from that and you're serving them Guess what You make a lot of money You're not greedy That was the reward That's how And what do you do with that money Well if you're a person of faith when you do you put it in your mattress you put it in investments right That creates more wealth More jobs more opportunities That's how it works The dollar resonates.

Caller Wonders About Networking Conservative DAs to Be Harder on Crime
"To try to find a way to rally D A s. That are pro conservative. And institute a network type of agreement, um, of all of them that they will not go for a minimum sentence. To start out with on people that are up for crimes. Now there's a lot of reasons like why they're not going to do this number one They don't have enough personnel. And so they try and plead what the way he used to work to try and plead the minor cases, you know, like jaywalking or tickets or stuff like that. In order to focus on the on the heavier in tougher cases. If they were to try every case, Um Then you would have 99% of the cases would never get into court. And that's a fact. Because of the level of crime that goes on and the level of crime that is that is created that has nothing to do with property or the or personal injury and so forth. They have to handle all of it. That's number one number two. They're not going to agree with another D A Because every community is different than most of these days are elected. And so you won't find a network of D A is like the A. D A in, uh In Cape Girardeau, Missouri, agreeing with the D a in, uh Just pick another another town in Frederick, Maryland, because they really have nothing in common and they have to answer to their own localities. This is not complicated. It's not about a network of agreements and so forth, and so on. It's about enforcing the law. It's about getting judges who are going to comply with the law. It's about putting bad people in prison. We did it 30 years ago, 40 years ago under Reagan And the crime levels went down, but we had a Kabbalah of Radical libertarians. Um, these phony civil rights groups. Activist groups and so forth, and so on. That all got together and say We are a decriminalized legalized on and on and on. And so this is this is more to do with the nature of what's happened to our culture.

"We'll continue to take your calls in the Riggleman show Isabel pero here we're going to do Steven Frederick Maryland Steve you're on with is about what is your question hello a few well months ago I came across an article that talked about investing in fractional shares of artwork and I was wondering what he would think about that as an additional asset class rough diversification so instead of buying a piece of art that you're gonna hang on the wall and get to look at you're going to buy this as a share of an investment yes and how exactly would you go about doing that well it turns out that there are quite a few companies out there that do this and the one that I followed most closely yes I think they buy up that piece and then they sell shares until they've covered their purchase price and unfortunately they charge like a hedge fund it's like one and a half and twenty three I was gonna be a mass of mine here yep that's the only company where I've actually looked into their fee structure okay well generally speaking I love diversification we love diversification diversifying your money into many different asset classes is great it's what we're always preaching however we typically prefer that you do it into asset classes that have a track record and that have some degree of liquidity I think this sounds like it could be somewhat of a risky endeavor and I say that because art is is notoriously volatile in terms of pricing it can be unpredictable and certainly is very speculative ask anyone in the art world my question is really how liquid is this if you put money into it how do you get it back out I mean they're not going to sell the piece because everybody would have to sell out at the same time so what is the liquidity how do you get out what are the fees I mean if you sound pretty astronomical do they have a track record is there any way you're going to be able to have some idea as to how this is performed over the long term well the the track records that they have course applies to the individual pieces that they bought and mostly I was just thinking in terms of whether you thought it would be worthwhile to pursue doing some serious due diligence as if get our buying a share stock or something well absolutely I if you're going to make an investment like this it goes without saying that you should always dot your I's and cross your keys make sure you understand how reputable the company is how do you get your money out how quickly can you access it how are the fees going to be assessed are you gonna have to come out of pocket and and pay a fee on a regular basis if the money is purely for speculation and you're doing this for fun it's not a long term investment it's not something that you're going to rely on for retirement income Hey I think you could put a little bit of money there for fun if you want but you would have to understand that this is purely for speculation and not for the underlying investment purpose because you can diversify into a lot of other things that are going to be quite as risky and that are going to be more liquid if you want to invest in other asset classes maybe you should think about investing in overseas are gold and silver or emerging markets I mean there's a lot of asset classes out there do you know that you have all of them and why do we want to add art is that the right one and if you say yeah I really like to have some of those that Hey again you can do it with a little bit of money but I would say it has to be your play money and not your real money okay thank you very much well thanks for your call Stephen have a good one now these days with all of us on the internet all the time on social media we see ads for stuff that sounds too good to be true all the time and let me just remind you that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is and it's also possible that it's a scam in the case of this our investment that Stephen was thinking about making I don't I don't know that it's a scam I'm not saying that it is but there are a lot of investments out there that are scams be careful there are a lot of investments that may not be scams but are almost impossible to get out of you have waiting periods you have windows that are open there's blackout periods you have to be really careful that you know exactly what you're getting into and like I said do your due diligence talk to your financial planner don't make investments online without knowing what you're getting into don't make investments period without knowing what you're getting into look at non traded REITs we've been talking about this on this radio show for years it sounds great you're gonna put your money and you're gonna get regular income stream and it's always going to go up a weight when you need to get your money out how on earth do you do that guess what it's not easy it might take years for you to get your money back and I'm a little concerned that this art investment might be more of the same if you're thinking about an investment like this before you do it.

"We're continuing to take your call to the Rick Adelman show Isabel barrow here we're going to leave in Frederick Maryland Steve you're on with is about what is your question hello a few well months ago I came across an article that talked about investing in fractional shares of artwork and I was wondering what he would think about that as an additional asset class for rough diversification so instead of buying a piece of art that you're gonna hang on the wall and get to look at you're going to buy this as a share of an investment yes and how exactly would you go about doing that well it turns out that there are quite a few companies out there that do this and the one that I followed most closely yes I think they buy that peace and then they sell shares until they've covered their purchase price and unfortunately they charge like a hedge fund it's like one and a half and twenty right I was gonna be a guess of mine here yeah that's the only company where I've actually looked into their fee structure okay well generally speaking I love diversification we love diversification diversifying your money into many different asset classes is great it's what we're always preaching however we typically prefer that you do it into asset classes that have a track record and that have some degree of liquidity I think this sounds like it could be somewhat of a risky endeavor and I say that because art is is notoriously volatile in terms of pricing it can be unpredictable and certainly is very speculative ask anyone in the art world my question is really how liquid is this if you put money into it how do you get it back out I mean they're not going to sell the piece because everybody would have to sell out at the same time so what is the liquidity how do you get out what are the fees I mean if you sound pretty astronomical do they have a track record is there any way you're going to be able to have some idea as to how this is performed over the long term well the the track records that they have the power supplies to the individual pieces that they bought.

"Fifty seven in Frederick Maryland and it's fifty five outside our studios in friendship heights at eleven eleven one year ago this weekend Virginia's governor seem to be on the verge of resigning over a black face scandal today he's still in office and Democrats are in full control in Richmond so did it all just fizzle out our John Aaron went deeper on where things stand a year later with W. T. O. P.'s Max Smith who covers the state capital if you walk through the halls in Richmond and you watch all of the things that are actually happening I feel like it's actually having a big impact this legislative session of course governor Ralph Northam hung on refused to resign but he then committed to working to address overt and also more structural racism so Wallace is something people are aware of the part that fizzled was the pressure to resign when it became clear he wants and then when Republicans blew through that special session on guns this summer Democrats picked up the big wins in November on the opposition to president trump in support of those gun control measures here we are so what would you say the impact of the scandal has been there is this real concerted effort to repeal racist laws that are still on the books from decades ago whether they're actually still having an impact or not and there are also some real efforts to address some of the structural healthcare and other issues that really do hold back black and other disadvantaged communities as we've seen from a a number of research opportunities some smaller pieces of this might have happened if Democrats won control in November but the scale of this the way it's being prioritized in the strength of the legislative black caucus to turn the focus to disadvantaged communities it's something that really was jump started by the commitment to respond to north Ms blackface scandal we should just remind people of how this all happened someone flag a photo on north Ms medical school yearbook page showing one person in blackface and another in a K. K. K. row old north amended up with wishy washy statement on whether he was in the photo then held this wild news conference the next day where he said he wasn't in the photo but he had worn black face to portray Michael Jackson in a dance contest and it was really bad news conference and how he responded there that at the time seemed like he sealed his fate but he said resigning would be the easy way out northern was not the only one caught up in scandal there was Attorney General mark caring with a black face scandal lieutenant governor Justin Fairfax with a scandal involving accusations of sexual assault so where do they stand now Attorney General herring admitted his incident as a student at U. VA and tried to get out ahead of it before people actually saw a photo which was rumored to exist all the attention elsewhere ended up really preventing that from being a major issue for him so far Republicans in control the General Assembly at the time did put a big focus though on the sexual assault accusations against lieutenant governor Justin Fairfax they emerge just as it appeared he would become governor Fairfax categorically denies those accusations he still presides over the state Senate where he does have good relationships of course we did hear tearful stories from his accusers last year too though Fairfax still plans to run for governor next year herring is expected to run to some of the other democratic candidates for statewide office include a number of black female lawmakers in Richmond who feel it's their time of course Virginia has elected one black governor Doug Wilder but has not elected a female governor dance W. T. O. P.'s Max math ahead in sports the team that won the Superbowl tonight has been waiting for that title for fifty years Frank has all the details coming up next it's eleven fourteen.
