Episode 142: Freddys Back! Freddys Back! Freddys Back! - burst 22

"He's at school tired. You can't be comfortable. Pooping at school. He must just be really tired. he's just exhausted. And he's like maybe just maybe he's not pooping. Maybe he's just like i'm just a breather and just relax done that before a bit at work before it was like. Oh god i just wanna wanna go to the bathroom and just sit there and pretend to poop every couple of issues like sorry guys. Still pooping dude. We don't care we don't care which guys just give me update dude. Someone's there the whole time knowing what to do with their pooping in public place. It's the worst is the absolute worst and then like when you hear. Somebody entered the bathroom. Like oh and then you see them. Walk through a little crack between the door and like i contact. It's like saw each other most vulnerable. It's the worst. So yeah he falls asleep taking shit and he gets sucked into or he's in a dream and he's doing his he's had joe. Yeah phrase invisible. Which is kinda weird having an invisible fight. Yeah that is weird. Get to property. Lynch not wanna do the fights available. Maybe he had to poop well times the waste it in so he fights him. Yeah i read is kicking his and then starts fighting back and he's doing good and then all of a sudden freddy's glove appears and just flies rick and kill them and each time. One of her friends dies after kristen. It's like alice like gets a jolt of energy. We're finding out of their talents and abilities are their dream. Tell right are passing onto alice. I don't know what sheila's dream talent was brains. Mind over matter so she says she signed my poster. There you go there you go so then we to the funeral and this is kind of a weird scene because rick like comes out of his own coffin and has kind of a moment with his sister and he goes halo. Regan yeah very strange. Also notice at the funeral for some people like kincaid funeral. Some people. don't yeah but kincaid. Enjoy your like buried next to each other. And there are buried next to nancy and then kristen's buried next to them. It's like they all got funeral plots right next their plots right next to each other. They don't know how they died. They like the people who don't know anything about freddie. They still buried them all next year. Exactly exactly nobody in the no one else in the town died in the interim between you know so the greet at the funeral to me. Debbie's another thing another thing if you live in a town where like twenty years ago in. This wasn't even twenty years ago right so like it's a year after those people died at the mental hospital. It's like four years after what happened in elm street one. And it's like what twenty years after what happened to freddie krueger. Yeah like don't you think you would know the story like everybody's like who's freddie and it has to be explained every fucking movie who freddie s. Even if you're new to the town folklore at this point yeah was gonna come up to you and go. You're about freddy krueger yet. And you're like what the fuck talking about. Yeah of course have killed. He killed children like we know. Stories about like fucking jeffrey dahmer. And we don't even live. I did but don't even live in milwaukee wisconsin. Yeah this would be big news. Yes but not the dream stuff might not be big news but knowing who freddie krueger was when he was like in the real world like alive you would know that store exactly and why is nancy's house associated to freddie krueger of. Nobody lives there anymore. Like i understand in one to the house being there. But why's everybody always going back to that house. That's up freddy kruger house. That was nancy's house gets the freddie house. But it's not freddie's house. It's nancy's maybe was ready. But it wasn't. I mean did spread. Nancy's

Try to cast another actor as freddy krueger. Now this would have just pissed me off. Lack of respect did they. Because i know west didn't direct the second one. I know but the fact that they did not ask you to do the second one or that you wanted to hit a asked me to do it. And now they're i've heard was a money thing but i never remember. I don't remember there being money thing. i just remember there being a scheduling thing and because i had agreed on the money. My asian agreed on the money he made demands with them about the scheduling. And so they were gonna use a double for me for a scene in a steam room so they use the double for me. And i was supposed to our start the next day and i literally remember being in makeup late in the day like two in the afternoon and they had finished with the second day of using this double and the director jack shoulder had gone to bob shaye in the on said he got a reshoot. This stuff with robert. It's horrible skies walking around like frankenstein and to was you. Don't know and i really have to thank jack shoulder for stopping shooting while i was getting made up in the makeup trailer when i finally scheduled i'd finished whatever else i was doing some other movie. And the a They brought me night and they were already a couple of days into the shooting of the boys at the high school and Rob me in. And i was there getting my make. I think i was my for my one and only late call for makeup. I had up until about normally on there at the crack of dawn and I think i saw the other guy for from it. I saw them. They had a mask on him or something. I don't know if they add the right bank on it. Because they hadn't designed for him and kevin yeager was the makeup guy for part. Two great kevin roper new sleepy hollow created schalke in and kennedy egger in his air putting on my megabit and he'd prepared it so obviously we've been we've made the deal is he'd handed the the molds and everything already gotten the molds david miller and had done all the sculpting on the prosthetic thesis and it was finer and thinner I remember. I don't quite remember going to kevin shop at. Perhaps i did before that. Maybe i did go to go to kevin shop and do a test but there there had been a delay and scheduling But i really have jack shoulder. Thank for being the guy you know. The director are saying you gotta use raw years. Nobody else so. There was no discrepancy. There was no not ever thinking of not casting you in the second one because of money or anything like that they offered me. I was offered the part. And i don't think it was money is i i. I remember I was still. Perhaps i had just finished the second or i was still doing the series of e or i just finished series of the we were all sitting around with our fingers cross would be picked up and And i had renegotiated. And that's where we you know. As far as making my big riot. I marinella straight. You should have been was quite easy communities. Say they're offering know this amount. Fine fine i'll do it. You know but they have to wait. Wait done with the last episode of my of v them. That i'll be on hold for v to hear of on picked up and we'll sit in nightmare announced and they were all. They were kind of upi about that. But but yeah. But robert. I like i know i would have been an anybody listening. We've been like i'm freddie fucking krueger. That movie was. I'm fred krueger here. So up michael. You have to understand back then. My head was in v. v was my international success. Were flying me over to italy or award. I think i'd already done one movie in europe which i love. I love working in europe. In spain or somewhere. And i i loved playing freddie and i knew freddie was a hit there was only one freddie and it had just begun to take off huge internationally and this would have been eighty five and my head was not just in the freddie gruber playbook i was still hoping i'd get picked up for the because then i would be rich than each. And so i wasn't thinking about negotiating. My agent was just trying to think clear the schedule make this.

"Go across the hall and ended and i've just excited 'cause i love george lucas graffiti one thirty eight. I love georgia. I go across a holiday. Take my polaroid. Maybe four hans solo. But i know this is sides for luke skywalker. Because the name. It's such a great name. Luke skywalker and i looked at the sides. I can't remember if i stole them or not. And went across the street to the formosa. So now you know where. I am at a couple of bushmills jumped in my old two thousand dotson not to thousand cubic inches and i went. Went back to my place and laurel canyon and i look outsiders para old beat up frye boots in front of my front door. Which means smart cameras is. We would take our shoes. I had nice carpeting. In my my lair of in laurel canyon and mark was on my couch watching the bob newhart show. We would watch bob newhart and mary. Tyler moore if we had watched the originals than we call our ages. And i walk in the door. And i said hey mark george lucas doing another building. And you might be right for us. So my my once upon a time in hollywood story. Is that freddie. Krueger told luke skywalker their colleagues aged and he got the bar he got in there about the bar now his agent haetzni telling this story because she swears that she already had submitted him. But i don't know but this is before your time but in the seventies you are either movies or tv you didn't go back and forth until travolta. Oh yeah until. Welcome back kotter. And then he went inside and that was the big shift. That was a big shift. He were either movie. I or a tv guy and your agents had power accordingly. You know to them and even then it was tough even after. That didn't really start to happen. Until like even i'd say in two thousands like you know it was tricky. I mean you're either. Tv after or you remove movie actor was very different. Yeah while what a great story so you and you and mark hamill reclose. Mark was turned me onto the kinks. Turned me onto lenny bruce. All the lenny. Bruce albums lord buckley The best of all Was monty python and we had all the albums and i did for like a year. I didn't realized they performed. That stuff. Actually performed sketch comedy. I just thought they were like bbc. Radio voices and we would lay on our backs you know. Look at the ceiling in my art in. Just play the album's over and over again and try to memorize the routines love monty. Python mark hamill in real life is really really quick. Really funny years. You know vote. He works a little blue in. It's different than you think. Because he's so it was so good looking it was always sort of like leading man. But he's actually i think character ac. I know a lot of people are like richard gere's maybe he's such a good looking guy but it might actually really be a character actor in a leading man's body. I think it happens occasionally to some of these guys. Did you have where you know. You and margaret good friends and then this happens. All the time he goes off to do star wars he becomes a big star. And you don't hear from him again. No mark a back and told us all stories. If you say this is going to suck wade mark nuke is marks a fan boy you know marks marquette a had a letter in famous monsters magazine as a trial you think he was a military brat and mark new That it was gonna be huge. And i got told me you know alec guinness stories and i think he had a crush on carrie fisher and no mark and i were were friends after that for for a while. What changed was i moved. I moved to santa. monica had some money after I think it was after stay hungry. And we moved to santa monica or a move. Some mark mark moves remark. Moved to malibu and i moved to hancock art and i would just that was like you know. We just didn't see each other as much anymore. Markup mary And that that's sort of like when we would see him. Occasionally at comecon downer sandiego and star wars was seventy eight six. Yeah so in. Seventy seven seventy eight and and nightmare on elm street was what eighty four. Yeah i was just. I was doing. I was doing my fonda movie. Rife right around that. Yeah did you. when you auditioned. Do you remember the senior audition. For freddie i. It was a meat. I didn't read you met with wes. Note it was a meet And it was. I think it was in north hollywood but it might have been at the studio the old busy lou studio ongo enga but i again. I was like surfing. That wasn't acting. I was just surfing. So i was really really tan and i had really long blonde hair and my hair is kind of fine and sin and i remember greasing my hair back using some while under the hood of my car and i've told her story a million times. I'm sorry if i'm boring. Oh no i haven't heard it. And i also use cigarette ash under my eyes. It's an old makeup theater trick. It looks very real. You can make your eyes look real heroin. Chic kind of junkie and kind of counteract. My healthy might healthy malibu tan and agrees my hair back in. You can kind of see through my hair to see my skull a little bit because my hair was greased and slicked back and My hairlines high anyway. And i went in and i just remember. Keep your mouth shut robert. Keep your mouth shut and i. I played staring games with west. I tried not to blink when you're a kid. You try not to blink who to go. Longest without blinking and latin west. Was the rack on tour. Last was telling me all of his ideas about the movie and what it meant and how it would be. And i listen to absorb that i kind of goes a little bit. I kind of suck my cheeks in kind of made. My is a little bit psycho and i think that's how i got the part but annette benning. I don't know if you went up for national lampoon movies or stuff with annette benning but annette ending. I had just been up for national lampoon's class reunion every role in the movie. I tested with everybody. Annie potts i tested with. Everybody and i didn't get it. I kind of canceled myself. Talk with my being versatile or something. I don't know and a net felt bad about that. And i think that was really my champion and convince west Annette benning a non. An advance benson. Jesus christ instant not an ed banning. Not the actress okay. That's that's a that's a mind. Fart above no defense was the casting direct. She did a lot lots. he's quite famous. And i think she really fought for me. But there's another theory that real skinny and a hatchet face and they were very worried. Bob shaye head of new line west grave and they were all worried. David miller the makeup effects guy about when you put make on somebody a lot of times they have a big head and a lot of people in film have big ads because it looks great on phil. Small people get you know what i'm talking about a big thank you but made the bottom percents. Then their heads really look big especially if they don't have broad shoulders. Well i'm five hundred. i've got raised. We rock shoulder. So i could take the prosthetics without looking out of ricky. She'll to the rest of audie. And i think it could have been as simple as that. Although i hadn't done any tests raising they may have just been able to tell by the way i looked. Did you think you're gonna like oh. They're gonna fire me once they see makeup on. There's always these this actor thought of like they're gonna fire me now. No you know it was. It was a strange thing. I kind of owned it. A quick made less. Didn't give me much direction from after about the first couple of days i just.

"From bloomington indiana. How old were you when you got laid. Love and a half. Yeah wait wait how old my summer of twelve and a half while. I didn't have a penetration sex for a long time after that but yeah twelve and a half. I don't have hair on my balls till i was eighteen. And probably the worst of ass in the world you know about premature ejaculation or any and i had. I had curlers in my hair curlers my ear. The girl had my hair was supposed to be curly. For god's ridiculous that is absolutely wonderfully ridiculous hairdryers or your parents where they always supportive of what you were doing. And and and just like i love you. I love you robert You can't go wrong with us. did you have a good support system. Florence out for the children's their cell. I blame them kinda then later on. They of thought. I would change my tune and and stick with law because i was an athlete and because i was international thespian guide and because i had good grades i was sort of a fast tracked. Maybe they invited me up to stanford for that thing you do in the see your senior year you go to college right and i went up there and i was pretty hard core surfer and the the one thing we hated worse. Tito's you know you have surf board shorts not so beatles. I want him to stand for the frat boys from all over the country. And it was the first sunny day Up in palo alto and they all had their speed ozone and they were laying out a lawn outside the frat houses rubbing each other with baby oil get a suntan is. Everybody liked to be tan back that we didn't know about skin cancer. Any creep me out sonata. So i went to cal state northridge and ucla for awhile. You know. I just stayed close to all but they were always like whenever you wanna do. We love you. Did you get like a lot of love as a kid. I this great. I had a great upbringing. I mean you know it was. I i look back. And it was like really encouraged and let me along and also that kind of freedom you know. There was my generation we had tons of freedom. You know your mom or your dad would whistled for you for dinner in. I remember the at night until you were just out the neighborhood and who can tell who is cruel by where people's bicycles were in the driveways because in those days nobody parked in driveways. You have to use the garage. You know in the streets for kids in orange groves and the beach in was for kids. I experienced that. I experienced that eighties. It was just a freedom of like beyond by ten. They didn't know where you were. If you wanted to go see someone at the movie theater go. I'm either at seven and just hope there. Will you also learned kind of social interaction and how to survive and and it was weird like it strange points during your your childhood memory when cool kids were nicely the verse time you know momentum over had her parents or something or you get to go swimming in their pool or or their momma. Drop you off at the beach. Drop you off at malibu. That would leave you there all day and those moments of time. I think a real important. Because i if you if you're not out on your own you're not able to kind of negotiate at kind of social a demarcation that exists in society. Yeah i think that's really nice. You know i look at your career and you've done so much look at tv a look at the movies. I look at all these things when you know. Your parents are seeing success. And they're singing. Charlie's angels you did charlie's angels long. I've been around. Yeah jesus well. That's not that old. That's sny first. Job is seventy three but my my professional debut is sixty eight. How old were you when he twenty one. Now your parents when you did now your parents no longer with u been gone for a while. Yeah you know i. I wonder they see all these roles. They got to experience a lot of your success right. Yeah well my mom wasn't around for a lot of freddie but the very beginning of ready but my dad. My dad's grave mama was. I was working. And i couldn't go to the premiere of my first movie because i was out killing burt reynolds in another movie and so my dad went to. My premiere movie directed by dan. Patrick the whitest guy. In the world canadian director great director directed among other things the original raisin in the sun You know and and that cash is. Who's who of great black actors. But i i didn't get to go to the premier and the after party was at shea since am i bad. Got to go with pamela. Sue martin and jan michael. Vince took arabic and my dad. Got to go to the after party at stations and my dad's a martini guy and chases famous for like the best martini in the world. My dad had been there before But not a lot so my dad loved that my dad kind of knew i had arrived because he got to go to the after party at chasen's and i had you know the first time to get single card at your own table my first movie. I got single car single card in at the. You have your own table at the party. If there's you know yeah oh my god yeah or billing and so my dad china got in and i can't let it. I was bobby. England robbie england for my whole life and i use robert england and that my debt really made my dad field is s Add atacama when he was pissed at me. But what was it like like robert robert get your twelve and a half years old lay pipe doing schwinn out of the driveway. But like you know. I have to say when i first got smallville when they first saw it. That was the first time they were like. Oh you're on a successful show. Like i had done a lot of things that weren't successful but that was but this was the biggest thing this was like holy shit so nightmare. Yeah and all of a sudden you know it was like everybody was was like wait a minute. It's not just another independent film or a little know. My dad always said what are you doing. I'm doing this movie. When's give me and theaters well. It's independent so it's not real. Well now it could become a movie. Yeah it always just somehow lessened. It made me feel lesser. Than i was. But we won't get into that but but i wonder when they first saw nightmare on elm street and they saw you as not playing the buddy not playing these. You know the plays and all that stuff is great and they're like this our sons talented but when they saw you as this come to life this larger than life character. Did they ever does your mom or dad ever just say. Wow robert. did they ever have that moment. Ain't never saw me on stage at the professionally. Which was a great point because i had a couple of big successes on stage but johnny carson. I think did a freddy kruger. Joke or or or decatur somebody joke. And they heard that And i'd sort of entered the popular culture by then and there was also. On the sunday funnies some one of the cartoonists in the sunday said sadun. Freddy krueger thing. And that's actually. What sort of relax. Relax them you know. Wow i had also done. The was a big show them street and it was a mini series that it was a big event and it had this really rare advertising campaign. Like rosemary's baby. When i was in college and ucla hanging.

"Rbis streisand. Burt reynolds and charles. Ronson susan serandon. I had partial. Nude scene with susan serandon partial. Where you're at your susan was topless. Well what about you know. I was playing the bashful size sidekick on all okay so i got to be bashful and sensitive and susan had to button her blouse flash me. Have you ever baird asking one thousand nine hundred seventy five. That's rocky horror. Show era homina. Homina homina did you. I mean did you ever bare ass or anything like that. Oh yeah yeah. I recently to cast are down around my knee time. Yeah no obscure clinic. I had to run around naked and share clinic so this scientists so that was kind of wait a minute. You showed your junk. Well i mean. I could see it when i go from like a kind of Samadi tank in a one of those hot tub sensory deprivation hot tubs. And they put a towel around the in march me across. But you know. I went to daly's i saw the notice. You're like somebody's gonna take this some aid like some little assistance going to just take a picture of your junk and it's going to be everywhere. What was that magazine celebrity skin remember. Yup i do. Don't you remember you. And may jonathan silverman back in the nineteen sixties. You have the blame mansion. In celebrity scan the silverman was dating a couple of girls from petticoat junction. Souza's you really are aging there. Is that old old silverman. I know general right general. Well listen were your parents when you were growing up. 'cause like first of all i want to say i love. You have always loved you. You were an idol of mine and working with you in urban legend and just being in a trailer and i remember fangoria magazine came to interview us and i just was on cloud nine. It was my first big movie really part and we just really hit it off. And i just always admired you and looked up to you and we got along so fondly that it was just You made it so easy for everybody around you because you are a legend and even at that time you order breakfast across service one at the wind. I think we had really graft service like some fabulous lesbians from vancouver. Who were making us great granola with a lot around sugar. I remember you ordering. Is mike as as christopher walken. One day gigs. Easy scrambled robert england's with you. It's not an. It's not land as lund swedish swedish. You are swedish. But wow duke. How everything's it's relaxed. And it's funny as i ended up working with him like two years later and after that i asked without doing doing walking walking's he was kind of weirded out by me but because i was so you get that bright i kinda young guy looking at him with on and he's a great another fan boy and other fan boy but he was cool. But you know when i met you you were so humble you had such a good time and we. That was really a good time shooting. Urban legend was a great cast. I mean i've had a little crush on a leash wit my entire career. I remember on the old civil such cybill shepherd. Show say that ten times fast. But i mean you know. Jared leto pre-oscar josh jackson. The unsung acting in that movie. I mean loretta devine door unsung performance in that movie. Rebecca gay hearts great in that movie. Yeah what about the guy. What about the professor remember. He was from x. Files that will see. I had lunch with john. Neville john neville. I had when i was arado boy and i was all hatches on my sleeves. You know and talking. Like madonna in london Royal academy We study some of those performances and john naval had done othello on the west end with richard burton when the entire audience was teenage girls because burton was so beautiful you know with his strategic acne scars and that beautiful voice it sounded like silver thunder and and they would all do the matinees. The girls a teenage girls would all ditch go to the that nays to see. Burton and novel and burton would swap roles. One night. He played fellow in black face literally incorrect and then the next night he play iago so i want to lunch in downtown toronto at this elegant restaurant with john neville and of course i know all this shit so i i started asking these questions and nodes asked these questions in fifty years so little robert england you know sitting there but i get. I've got my little goatee and And my george clooney haircut. And i'm and i'm being a subtle fan boy john neville but he loved it so i got all this gossip about judy. Dench and about richard burton me something. Gimme trump that. Nobody knows you dance. Apparently was wild and helen. Mirra he said. Helen mirren every time she got she got on stage. She had to take her clothes off. She always wanted to do a nude scene. Helen mirren always wanted to be naked. Apparently that's what he says. With novels. all week was. Oh oh heather. No she she. She detailed negative she loved. I guess she loved. Apparently she'd had a lot of nudes. Change at the open when you're naked the old or the royal shakespeare company. That's really something you know. Yeah wow that's pretty amazing. I remember john was great. I remember that one line goes the weekend we can eat if you look at you if you if you i am. Be amazing allie. He's done everything she yet to see stuff he did. I think he was sort of the new john gielgud. I think that's sort of high could see that. Yeah hey kid and you were born in glendale you were born in glendale was born in the foothills. There is a place. There's a out weird area. Where hollywood and atwater village yup and and boulevard is sort of like low steelers. It's glendale and there are some foothills. going up. i was born at a hospital. Knows foothills. "Terrible things to you. But he turned it into something. Good. Though I mean, if you consider Freddie Krueger good. As I mentioned, prior wes craven is responsible for a lot of fantastic films from the last house on the left to the everlasting stream with the incredible line Alo- Sydney what's your favorite scary movie. And then lastly, with Friday, the thirteenth of course, he did so much more for the horror industry, but we're not done looking at Freddie just yet. I'm going to treat Freddie like I would any other case? I'm going to go over his timeline line and his history. More than what we just went over the fictional history a Freddy Kruger. Sit Back and Enjoy the, RECAP I. This is what happens when dreams meet demons Freddie Krueger was born Frederick Charles, Krueger? Do's mother Amanda Krueger who was a nun working in a hospital? And was reportedly raped by over one hundred psychopaths. History is just as disturbing as you might think, you would be. During one of these rapes she became pregnant with a son who is named Freddy. Later in life, he became a murderer in the spring would area notorious for killing children? The media labelled him. These spring would slasher and he was apprehended, but later released because of a technicality. According to some sources, it was because somebody didn't sign the search warrant in the appropriate place. The parents of the children tracked him down found him in the boiler room where he took his victims, the parents poured gasoline into the room and set him on fire, which caused his melted facial features. And his ultimate demise. He died in nineteen, sixty eight. However he returned. Not. In the way you would think. Kids on the street ELM street were suddenly and randomly dying in their sleep with no reported causes. gashes and slash marks appear on their bodies seemingly out of nowhere. Please read laws. More well were. Rumours began to spread that Freddie had returned. Of course was all foolish was all nonsense and it was just an urban legend. There was an actual physical murderer out on the streets terrorising these children. Right. Had you been the case. Despite growing rumours of Freddy's imminent return the parents on ELM street remained very tight lipped about the events that happened nearly twelve years prior the children that Freddie. victimized. We're now teenagers and they're trying to get on with their lives not remembering really the events of what happened when they were kids. It wasn't until the closing months of nineteen eighty one that the children of Spring would in particular teens whose parents had formed the mob that killed Krueger. Began dying in peculiar ways especially during their sleep as I mentioned the parents ignored or denied. That anybody was responsible especially. Somebody called Freddie. Who liked to make himself known to these victims prior? To brutalizing them. Though not all of Freddy's victims succumbed to their wounds. Nancy Thompson whose family moved into Kruger's old home was the first of the ELM street kids to learn about the past and ultimately defeat him in her dreams however. True to Freddie's fashion, he would not stay dead. It was rumored that there were people especially teens. In the world who could control their dreams and actually fight back against Freddie. Krueger. Kristen Parker was one of those girls as she had the ability to bring people in to her dreams. She along with other surviving elm street children battled Freddie in the dreamworld. This is all according to Christians accounts. For another can be substantiated because we can't see in dreams but rumor does have it that. These children. defeated. Freddy Kruger once again. Once again, there was a piece in spring would. No more deaths no more fear no more terror the urban legend Freddie Krueger was dead and gone. Is until a few years later on things started going funny once again. A young woman by the name of Alice Johnson. And somehow gained. Kristen's supposed power. As. She had the power over her friends dreams somebody even call her the dream master. ALYSSA's able to remove the souls that Kruger had gained over the years. Left him powerless according to some reports. A year later Alice became pregnant. She stated that Krueger started using the dreams of her unborn child to kill again as far fetched, but this is according to official reports. Once again, Alice was able to defeat Freddy this was a second time. With the help of cruisers mother Amanda After Kruger was contained as moved away from spring would and luckily she did. Because Freddie made an escape. Oddly enough. Women seem to have more power over Freddie than anything. In fact, there was only one male to ever fight and survive. Freddie. His name was Jesse walls. And while he didn't truly encounter Freddie in his dreams, he was able to push him back as Freddy tried to use his body to get into the real world. Eventually, managed to fight Freddie off and send him back to the dreamworld. Again, these are super official reports. These things apparently truly happened. Now, it's unknown the current whereabouts of Fred Krueger. Some, say he still lives on in the dreams of children, of spring, would especially on elm street other say he never existed in the first place? The what we do know for certain is that he killed at least twenty children before he was burned alive. In boiler room by the parents, of Spring would. If you believe the reports of his dream activities killed around forty more at refuse with dream demons and became able to enter those dreams. His reign of terror in the dreamworld lasted from nineteen, eighty, one until nineteen eighty-nine. Some would say he has some powers. As discussed prior can enter your dream world, but he can also enter your mind see your deepest fears and use Some reports also have him possessing other humans. ethereal humans to try to gain access to the real world where he can cause damage and not just in the dreams of those who believe. Some say he can manipulate matter within these dreams as well. Transforming people into other objects from insects too well, anything and using that to kill them. Some also say he has some weaknesses. And some vulnerabilities if he doesn't have enough power, he can't kill anybody in the dreamworld or the real world where that power comes from. It's hard to identify some states, the soles of his victims keep him going and he keeps them trapped. And it keeps them for himself as a fuel source. Other say is a belief system the fewer people who believe in him the less likely it is for him to be able to cause any sort of harm. Some say Freddy is a free. Due to the way he died in his actual life when he was burned alive PTSD sorta stayed with him and can you blame him? That's a pretty traumatizing event for anybody even for a child murder. Lastly some say he is afraid of Holy, powers? And, the power of God or the fear of God lives within him being a demon and all makes some degree of sands that a priest or a holy person might be able to vanquish him or at least exercise him when he tries to possess human. Regardless of what you believe Freddy Krueger and his story Liz on. We can't deny that his presence is everywhere. Everybody has heard of Freddy Krueger and the terrible crime he has committed. Whether he committed them after his death is story for another time. Is something we will never know but.

"Even if it wasn't. And that's what made Freddy Krueger. So utterly terrifying. There was no defense against somebody who attack in your sleep at in your dreams. Somebody who control the world around him and use it ultimately to his benefit. To achieve his goal which is to kill you and your friends and your loved ones and anybody you've ever met. "Dot com we're talking about Freddy Krueger of course is a metaphor for covert nineteen but see one of the things that happened awhile back is that I I was feeling kind of sickly kind of tired kind of out of it it had nothing to do with the respiratory or anything a lot of it had to do with a lot of stress being stressed overwhelmed a lot of things going on in the background of the show many people who are on Facebook know what's going on behind the scenes and Ronnie called me and gave me some encouragement and any started talking about you know if you if you're doing the right things with your body doing the supplements and trying to lose weight trying to feel better you're gonna do good and and you're telling me about the Alice and one of the things is interesting as I was taking that Alice and like you said and I was noticing some changes in our was feeling and you're telling me that it was like loaded with garlic and I know that Ron is a big garlic fan because he's yeah you have garlic your but once again and why do you have garlic prevents the vampires from kidnapped you're right absolutely yeah I know I I think it's probably my stronger buildable if you were calling into the Alabama and you know twentieth thank you just a lot of the music boosters but Allison if you Google garlic and you see what the benefits of garlic are now imagine taking out on the dance which basically is one hell of equal to thirty five cloves of garlic thirty five so you look at that you say oh my gosh and then of course I've also got the hard love which has our community that's another thing that really cool like pine bark and has all of leaping bilberry some really cool stuff in it and that is equal to about twenty cloves of garlic hotel so this is powerful stuff that and I made it to where it's affordable you know a lot of people are doing a lot of crazy things right now and the time zone in the media for the time that we work together and and and let me help you and you help yourself and when I went back to the mind thing you know what if somebody's on manta feeling kind of sick and I'm not feeling really good and somebody comes in you're gonna be fine you're going to be okay this is what you need to do it hi how are mine goes really okay yeah that's great and the next thing you know we're better so it's important for us to keep our mind impact with our body and keep it down because when we keep it balanced then we we do well and we make great decisions and we don't have here we don't have cortisol we don't have all the stuff is over turning to make it right the clean balance well I was saying earlier one of the things are not encouraging and one of the things that you encouraged me to do was to make peace with it all and I remember the same talk was given to me when I had cancer you gotta make peace with the fact that you have cancer you have to make peace with the fact that you're going to fight it you have to make peace with the fact that no matter what happens you're always always going to be fighting against death the invisible enemy the killer the fear all of that you have to try overcome and at a you know another thing too is I was told you know what and you can't think for you know you you seem to have this idea do you want to be Superman do you want to be able to save the day save the world save everything you have to understand that you can't save the world or save the day or you can save your family unless you're trying to save yourself yeah yeah absolutely and you know it is a little electrical do you know you're the man you've got a job to do so you don't have we don't have time for you to go down we have time for you to get well get better to do what you gotta do because you would lighten people that's your job my job is to help people get well and that's my job and we work together doing this you know and and this is this is really about getting the inside of this and start healing the M. five for the insight and he'll be outside and when you become one and you become powerful that's the problem why we're always giving our power away why I don't know I don't know why I mean the I wanna get my power away to anybody I want to be able to have control of my life and do things are most important in my life and keep things you know pretty much you know going full speed ahead because you know a lot of the time we're gonna fall victim to those they're gonna give us peer pressure add to actually be afraid and to and to not go forward in its like again those who have self defeating views and ideas and error in the self sabotage those are the things that we don't want in our lives so the things we want to avoid eight seven seven seven three three one zero one one that's eight seven seven seven three three one zero and one running low and get the T. dot com is with us tonight we're back with more don't go away your Houston's news weather or traffic.

"Dot com we're talking about Freddy Krueger of course is a metaphor for pope at nineteen but see one of the things that happened awhile back is that I I was feeling kind of sickly kind of tired kind of out of it it had nothing to do with the respiratory or anything a lot of it had to do with a lot of stress being stressed overwhelmed a lot of things going on in the background of the show many people who are on Facebook know what's going on behind the scenes and Ronnie called me and gave me some encouragement and any started talking about you know if you if you're doing the right things with your body doing the supplements and trying to lose weight trying to feel better you're gonna do good and and you were telling me about the Alice and one of the things is interesting as I was taking that Alice and like you said and I was noticing some changes in how I was feeling and you're telling me that it was like loaded with garlic and I know that Ron is a big garlic fan because he says oh yeah you have garlic your but once again and why do you have garlic prevents the vampires from kidnapped you're right absolutely yeah I know I I think it's probably my stronger buildable if you would call it in the alpha and you know twentieth thank you just a lot of the music boosters but Allison if you Google garlic and you see what the benefits of garlic are now imagine taking out on the dance which basically is one pill is equal to thirty five cloves of garlic thirty five so you look at that you say oh my gosh and then of course I've also got the hard love which has our community that's another thing that really cool like pine bark and has all of leaf and bilberry some really cool stuff in it and that is equal to about twenty cloves of garlic hotel so this is powerful stuff there and I needed to work the portable you know a lot of people are doing a lot of crazy things right now and the time zone to me this is the time that we work together and and and let me help you and you help yourself and when I went back to the mind thing you know what if somebody's on manta feeling kind of sick and I'm not feeling really good and somebody comes up that you're gonna be fine you're going to be okay this is what you need to do it hi how are mine goes really okay yeah that's great and the next thing you know we're better so it's important for us to keep our mind impact with our body and keep it down because when we keep it balanced then we we do well and we make great decisions and we don't have here we don't have cortisol we don't have all the stuff that the over churning to make it right the clean balance well I was saying earlier one of the things are not encouraging in one of the things that you encouraged me to do was to make peace with it all and I remember the same talk was given to me when I had cancer you gotta make peace with the fact that you have cancer you have to make peace with the fact that you're going to fight it you have to make peace with the fact that no matter what happens you're always always going to be fighting against death the invisible enemy the killer the fear all of that you have to try overcome and and you know another thing too is I was told you know what and you can't think for you know you seem to have this idea do you want to be Superman do you want to be able to save the day save the world save everything you have to understand that you can't save the world or save the day or even save your family unless you're trying to save yourself yeah yeah absolutely and you know it is handled like I told you you know you're the man you've got a job to do so you don't have we don't have time for you to go down we have time for you to get well get better to do it you got to do because you enlighten people that's your job my job is to help people get well and that's my job and we work together doing this you know and and this is this is really about getting the inside of it and start healing the M. five for the insight if you'll be outside and when you become one and you become powerful you that's the problem why we're always giving our power away why I don't know I don't know why I mean the I wanna get my power away to anybody I want to be able to have control of my life and do things are most important in my life and keep things you know pretty much you know going full speed ahead because you know a lot of the time we're gonna fall victim to those they're gonna give us peer pressure to actually be afraid and to and to not go forward in its like again those who have self defeating views and ideas and error in the self sabotage those are the things that we don't want in our lives so the things we want to avoid eight seven seven seven three three one zero one one that's eight seven seven seven three three one zero one one running low and get the.

"Oh yeah, I forgot. He was like the sort of friendly, lovable reptile that, yeah, he was a lovable reptile that didn't wanna eat people. Yeah. Willie, he played really right. So when you meet people that are such Connick. Characters to like there's your. Yeah, you're not even saying they're not. They're not as good as actors is anybody else? It's just your their role is what's made the Nykanen like rubber dinner has been in so many films. It's just like you've been somebody films. You're awesome. But like when you meet FREDDY Krueger like holy shit, it's ready grew. Yeah, exactly. You pushed upon this a little bit earlier on when we're talking about data white, and he said that when you were doing research that take would started telling you about the stories yet the experiences, so often the movie was released. Did you get a lot of people coming up to you and telling you about their experiences at sleep paralysis? Yeah. Yeah. A lot in it was amazing because they, they said that one in three people will experience it at some point in their life and not necessarily the whole, you know, some demon sitting on your trust, horrific experience, but some level of it and I had so many people come up to me since the film talking about it and it's, you just don't realize how prevalent something is in society. Mostly, I'll be, we're like, oh, it's embarrassing, say anything because I thought it was just, you know, I was crazy or if is weird and you would think I was weird or you know. So it's interesting that they're these things that we all have happened to us that we're frayed to talk about until we maybe see it in a film. We realize it's more common than we think. So I've had a Lago come, but some people have told me some really freaky stories. You know, like one of my friends. Woke up and could swear that he was like upside down, like an inverted cross over his bed and something was like crawling into room after him. So I wanted to actually still that for a movie, but I haven't figured out that. I'll I'll. I'll think him in any interviews I do, but when I still, but. Scary. There was very creepy was all grist for the mill. All right, or. Yeah, absolutely. I saw online that you've been to a lot of horror conventions key talk about your involvement in sort of the horror culture seen, or is that something that you've grown during our lifetime since I think it has grown. I mean, I, I will say this in anybody that works in the genre will tell you this, like the hor- community is like probably the most like loyal passionate community that you will ever find in your life..

"He see his face is so full of plastic and Bo talks. He looks like FREDDY Krueger that got a face lift, but I like I want to like Jerry, like he just knows how to do business. I mean, they can be they can be two and two and sixteen in season. And he knows how to still there's no empty seats at Arlington. Now at eighteen. Still filling up the stadium, but I don't know. You know, I don't know how I feel about the NFL this year. I just. We don't need it because we've got college, but I'm I'm excited about college football and it's always hard. You know, I never get to go to any games because I'm on the road doing the shows, doing tours in different cities. And I was looking at the schedule today and I was kinda looking now. Maybe there's this game we could go to, but if I'm not there, even on Saturdays at it don't have shows. I'm usually in someplace where it's on a Friday, right? And it's just not done workout, go and you what it was li- let me buy you. Good tickets. Hang on a second. I gotta I gotta take a sip of this Jameson whiskey simply because one I don't want to catch whatever credit is. You got Jade's been working in the clinic there and breathing the germs, and she comes and she's like, dick limit, throw idea, have it tickle in my throat scratchy, don't bring, doesn't hurt, just scratching, don't bring those germs around now. Now this microphone is mine forever. If you only knew how many lips have been up against the microphone in stuff like that, that's probably where I got it from me. Tell you where the germs are. Let me tell you where the. Really are. And let me tell you how to prevent germs, not only the whiskey, but let me remind you guys at the Chad prayed, their shows brought to you free this week in part by our sponsor me undies. I love my undies you know why? Because I like form to be clean and they're just not. They're nice underwear, you know, until you get deal. I get them by three days in it's time to change. It really is this. I live on the road man, you know, I used to always make fun of musicians that live on buses and things like that and say, I mean, these guys don't. They don't bathe, but like twice a week if that and now I kinda know that feeling, you know, you just don't look at me like that. If it's just this is true confessions here. I mean, now you live on the road and it's like, I just want to get out of this hotel and get on an airplane and go home. I'll shower when I get home five days later, you're still not home and discuss it is kind of disgusting. But you know what me undies are tremendous undergarments. They're made with materials sustainably sourced from beechwood trees there, naturally soft fiber fabric that won't sag down or right up. There designed to make you feel.
