NBA Players, Owners Meet To Discuss Plan Of Action

"Get back on track WHOA Jeez here. Thankfully to tell us what might happen here. Obviously, it's a fluid situation Adrian. I. Guess. The first thing we want to ask you is, what are we expecting today like what is going to happen today meeting Liz I have no idea what's going to happen today guys yesterday was. A remarkable day and one that I don't think any of us who cover the NBA. WHO Who've covered sports and and in my generation Bo forget but to set the table for today. The players having eleven am meeting here in the bubble. And the owners have a board of governors call at the same time. I'm pulled eleven am obviously that'll be done virtually and so simultaneously, those two groups we'll be meeting and the players. I think after a night, it was an emotional day. It was an emotional meeting they had. With most of the players in the bubble coaches were there last night there came a point where? The players asked the coaches to leave so they could hash it out amongst themselves. The teams I was told broke up into groups. and then they're going to continue that conversation this morning but I mean what's at stake is simply This season and are the players as a group going to decide to move forward. Continue the playoffs by all indications that the three games that are scheduled today. Not. Going to be played, the League hadn't officially. announced it but every indication we got in the last night regardless of what they decide moving forward that those three games later in the day. Wouldn't be played, but the players have more to work through and talk through. And consider a lot of different. Consider a lot of different scenarios. And and ultimately consequences of what it would mean to shut this bubble down. You're there in the bubble woes and you could get and I just WanNa know like what is what's the feeling is like does feel like NAM empty and just spooky and? What's that feeling like? I. Think the last several days keyshawn. and. You could feel a building you could watch on I think you guys could watch. On television and and read what people are saying and see. The interviews with George Hill and Fred Van Vliet. and. The emotion that players were carrying. Since the shooting of Jacob Blake earlier. In the week. And how that resonated not just all over the country. But here. and. On top of the emotion and Guys have been here a long time and it wears on you and guys miss families guys feel. At times like their captive in this place it I get it. It's a resort like I. Don't mean to. It is a resort and I get it and. All of us are lucky to be able to work. In, this country right now and a lot of people can't but there is a cumulative effect about being away this long. And you add on top of that. the horrific nature of that shooting. Another in a series of them in years of decades. Of them a century of them and so. data impacted this place at impacted those inside. And It was a domino effect yesterday of once. The bucks made the decision to knock him out of the locker room and not play. And then how it impacted the other teams and lead to that meeting last night that was pretty rot times. The to La teams the LA clippers. The Lakers have two of the hour say most powerful voices in professional sports in Genie Boston. Steve, bomber what type of influence can they have on the rest of the NBA owners to get something done in favor of the players? It's a good question I think the question is. And I think what the players Were spending last night doing. And and previously, it's been an ongoing conversation here. But is there something and and I and I know in the meeting last I a lot of players. Disgusted I know CJ mccollum was who's an executive on the players committee or on the on the Executive Committee of the Players Association. mccomb the Blazers Jaylen Brown the Celtics war leaders. in the Union and top players in league talked about having a plan of action and the bucks in the locker. Room. In those hours after that they after they decided not to play. Working with their own ownership in Milwaukee to get on the phone the Attorney General of the Lieutenant Governor in Wisconsin to talk about ways to move forward. To try to impact. that. Particular case. In in their state in Kenosha. And so you saw players already beginning to do that yesterday now. How does that continue today? What what players are asking themselves I know what organizations are asking players when they got back to the rooms. Last my back to the hotels. What is the endgame if we don't play? One is that what is it that we wanNA accomplish outside of the bubble outside of this environment outside of the platform that you have right now to play. play NBA Games and speak to the world through. Through this. What does that look like and so I think that's all going to be part of the conversation today with the players and with the owners if they kinda reconnect after those two meetings.

"So he's not going to be able to reverse while met them just put his head down when right around him through a no look pass, where he looked at Danny. Green on the wing and hit Colli in the corner is like, oh, this is a climate has been. This is nice well spot up catches you three. This is how you live Danny green. I could make like half of these. They did a couple of other ones where he was down on the dunker spot. Popped out little eight foot jump, right? Like off a catch. But so he scored I think he hit those first two threes in every raptor. I asked Fred van Vliet after the and what change in the third quarter and he came out with that wonderful great line Kawai, Leonard came out and hit a couple FU threes. When did he loses tooth in the third quarter? What core fourth quarter. Yeah. But like every Rafter said once why hit those shots. The second one over Draymond green after he gets the ball. He just walks right up to dream on green crosses at once and says, watch this. They, then they take the Q like the thing is you can't say this team is just Leonard because he has a team around him that in that third quarter, we have spent a lot of this playoffs, especially the Phillies series going. It's coli and everybody else. It's Kawai and everybody else. And they had a couple games where it wasn't that. But he carried them on those shoulders for a lot of that series. And they had they had a play to plays jumped out to me. And I was watching part of the game this morning. One was a Colli eyeso- where the warriors loaded up the floor on him. And he any passed past some outlet that was nearby and the raptors threw four passes in three seconds and they were all simple passes. But it was next guy next guy. Next send surged hidden open long, too. There was another one in the first quarter where they ran off ball screen between Kyle and Colli collide went into the post deep caught the ball, drew help kick to Siaka, or maybe vanfleet, I care member who swung it took a soul who pump faked and drove and swung it again. And then it got up to van vely. And there were again it was like six passes and a drive in five seconds and Fred missed a wide-open, three mandate are just if it starts with Kawhi, he doesn't have to finish it can.

"I like Dave. Okay. Well, absolutely. Is your mortar? Yeah. He's over Macher go on gains now. Toronto dominated a depleted. Warriors team won twenty three one. Oh, nine was your final last night's raptors lead the series now two games to one they were massive underdogs when the series started. But now the teams have even odds to take home. The Larry O'Brien trophy Mannix, who is the edge at this point going into game four, I don't think you can look at the series and say the Toronto is not the favorite, I think the raptors are should be the favorite going into this game four and for the rest of the series they regained home-court advantage, as big to a degree, but we know what we're going to get out of Toronto. We think at this point Kawai Leonard not one hundred percent but eighty five percent and we know we're going to be able to get out of him the rest of the series what he's given up until this point, Fred van Vliet ever since he had his baby has been fantastic for the Toronto Raptors. They are what they are. They're complete product out there on the floor. I don't know what Golden State's going to be every single night. I believe clay Tom's going to come back for game four. But I believe he's going to be. Run ragged and tested every single time on the defensive end. I don't believe Kevin Durant come back and game four. I'm still skeptical that he'd come back in a game five because of the nature of that injury. And if he doesn't, how do you bet on this, this Golden State team now? Jeff Van Gundy, send the broadcast last night, and I'm not sure I agree with them. But he said that team out there on the floor was not a playoff team. He was the Western Conference. You're sure you don't agree with. I don't doubt was wrong. I love JV. He was totally wrong. Disrespect we'll stuff it is. But it's the point is, it's a team that doesn't belong anywhere near a finals match finals matchup and Toronto is like Toronto all along. I believe going into the playoffs. They were the best team in the Eastern Conference hands down. They were team that had playoff depth through all the years they got beat by LeBron, the postseason, and they had finals experience wiser, former finals MVP. They've got guys Danny green played big poster Bacchus, urge Bacchus played there before. So this team is not a flash in the pan the raptors. I think they're the favorite. And this should be when you say they're not a flash in the pan. They said something during the broadcast that struck me off guard. And then I thought I was like, oh, I guess, of course that's right. Golden State Warriors have last three years have the most wins in basketball that surprises. No one, you know as the second wins in basketball, not Houston. It's Toronto Toronto over the last three years, they just hadn't been able, they didn't have the superstar to go. I'd I with LeBron in those playoff runs. They've got him and LeBron left. And so they took the rightful place, even though, obviously, I thought Milwaukee would be the team here, but they went through Milwaukee. They have now won six of seven games against Milwaukee and Golden State. Think about that. The two teams that were the favorites to come out each of their conference going into the playoffs. Even they weren't your favorite the Vegas favorites. So I understand is not a fluke, and they are healthy, and they are playing great basketball, and Chris, you pointed out, there's been twelve quarters played Jonah's one how many of them ten ten of the twelve quarters in this series. They've won the reason, I think Golden State is. Still, the favourite just by the slightest of merges. Is this? Do we believe they're going to win game four because I do and two if the series not of that two games apiece? We're Golden State is held off Toronto. I think Golden State resumes their status as sixty forty favorite, so I'm baking in a winning game four at home. I don't think Toronto, it's going to go to oracle in steel, both. I understand clay, I don't think Katie is gonna play either and Klay won't be one hundred percent..

"Here. Sports Illustrated, senior writer. Chris Mannix while you. Yeah. But don't worry I on my talk, Mannix navy Nick nice to me. I wouldn't. I wouldn't dare I wouldn't dare don't shish mail. I'm okay. She won't be, again the rest of the show, three times while we're coming back from commercial break going here, and I stories in the commercial Chris in the hallway, though, like right before the show that neck was never mentioned that. But of course. Joseph your hair and the good. Similar cuts. Now it is great to have you. Let's talk some finals. They rafters took a two one series lead after beating eight depleted warriors team last night. Play Thompson predicted did not play. He was missed on both sides of the ball Leonard led the way for the raptors with thirty points, all of Toronto's starter scored at least seventeen big momentum shift for Toronto. Now here's Kyle Lowry after the game. An NBA basketball player in clay and all star definitely you know changes their team, but a main Steph had unbelievable game. You know, forty seven points is pretty pretty impressive. But out there and did our job, and we had them under forty percent shooting meal. We play well we finished a game and we found a way to win a basketball game. Mannix was gained three more about what the raptors did well or is it just Steph, having no help? Essentially, I don't wanna take anything away from what Toronto did in the fourth quarter of that game. Because there were moments where it looked like Golden State had opportunities to seize control and win that game every time, Golden State inched closer. I think it was like seven eight points here, they're never got closer than seven never because the raptors had an answer. And it wasn't just Kawai taking over it was Serge Ibaka, coming up with either a block on one end or mid range jumper on the other Fred van Vliet, taking pretty high degree of difficulty shots. I mean we can talk about clay being missing on defense, but these were not open shots that the rapture making co I made them. I've got Kyle Lowry had a terrific game when there's always so much pressure on him to be great on both ends of the floor. So it certainly the injuries were factor. But Toronto's ability to answer every surge that Golden State had, I think was the. Overriding one and in that fourth quarter and that the stretcher talking about was the only time all game. They got their arms around stuff. Steph hit his final shot final made basketball with eight minutes left from the fourth quarter. So, like they were able to whenever the warriors were getting close make sure whoever takes the shot to get it closer is not going to be Steph curry, or if it is him, he's not going to have a good look. But there was there was a different moment that I thought the warriors earlier than that it was kind of. I missed it, and I don't want to miss the broadcast, but I thought it was an enormous sequence. In the game, beginning, third quarter when we know the warriors have historically going on these runs boogie gets a steal and is going up the court and he has a layup attempt any misses the layup. And then going back the other you'll see it right here here, boogie got the seal passed it. He then MRs next time on this play down the court so could have been five now at seven now it's ten those are. Daggers zag. When you could cut it to five, the closest you would have been since early second quarter that's the middle of the third to crowd was in full throat. And now it's like wait. We have a five win. Now it's ten point game. Those are emotionally crushing plays and Toronto had a bunch of those throughout the game..

"Oh, one I think I did. I can't remember remember and I sit look I mean they, they won championships in seventy three games without him and be I'm not saying they will win. I'm just saying they, they can win if you simulated this raptors team versus this warriors team without Kevin Durant, a thousand times on a computer a certain percentage of those times it is not trivial. And maybe even as a majority, the wears are going gonna win that they might not win this particular series especially now that half. They're team is injured, but they're going to like dick, dick, dick and win like it's they can beat anybody for in seven. I agree. I wanna go back to something just said, because it's just a little intriguing to me. How different Nick nurse seems to be an I mean, like somebody asked me, did he out coach Steve Kerr and game on like that's just so silly to me? Okay. And like I thought right? It wasn't the Exxon knows. Where they got beat the warriors they got beat with speed. They got beaten transition anyway. I don't even wanna get down that rabbit hole just to your point about Nick nurse saving a couple of things just like Steve Kerr's probably stay saving a couple things. But like one thing you saw consistently with Toronto. And I wondered how the players were absorbing during the course of the year. And you we pop in a game, don't necessarily have the time to talk to people because we're not staying two or three days. Right. We're getting our meetings, whatever. Anyway, the constant lineup shuffling the different strategies, the just throwing things at the wall sodas, speak to see if they stick like Nick's willingness to be flexible and trying to innovate and throw things the fact that he didn't institute's a box one. Jeff men Gundy incredulously. Like I don't think I've ever seen that in the NBA. I just think it's cool. But Fred van Vliet said to assist morning and he wasn't. I almost don't want to go here, but he brought it up. So I'm thinking, okay like. He's like coach. Casey goes you knew every single day what you're going to get and we love that as players, because there's routine etcetera etcetera eighty goes there were times that was like, gosh, you were questioning how there's nothing that we know we can count on day to day in terms of expectation, but he said, alternate -ly. It's been a great thing. So there's different ways to skin, the cat. I just thought it was, I very fitting you said that in reference between case because that's one of his favourite expressions with different skin, the cat whenever people would criticize Toronto's offense like boring. Two different gonna cat. Yeah. It's an interesting. I just thought Fred his honesty was refreshing, that he said there were times, where he was frustrated or didn't understand during the course of the year. But ultimately the way the season played out. I think he was essentially without putting words in his mouth saying there was a method to Nick nurses, madness speaking all experimentation, I think for a first year head coach now. Obviously, he's not a first year head coach. He's a first sure NBA head coaching. He managed the season. Really, well he not. And it's not just quieten. The load management thing which frankly, I think, is about Nick nurses head. Anyway, I just think he, he knew when to hit the accelerator new wind back off in new wanted to say, hey, we're just gonna do film today. Hey, we're not gonna do any film today. This is an off day lockout day, and I just, you know, tactically, like they handled the box off the bench seating, like it, worked really smoothly like everyone bought in Nick nurses lot of credit for that, too. I think he's coached. Is it been fun? He's like, when you get a new guy to add to your inner like between quarters interview list, right? He's his new edition this year. Very interesting. And I just think story is a fascinating one to, you know, to take an unexpected journey to, to be the head coach of, of an NBA team to basically beg your way into. Coaching G league team by driving past an arena and saying, jeez. We should probably have on there. I just I like a story. I like story like that. He was a player coach and I don't know. I think it's a cool story..

I don't care. Good luck. Alright. Stan. So tell us what you saw last night. Well, I thought Toronto's defense was was outstanding force or warriors into seventeen turnovers. They really got out on the fast break twenty four fast-break points. I know Steve Kerr was upset about that. That's something Golden State's to have to correct Seok. It's been interesting with him because he had a really good series against Orlando against philli. They went back and forth in their matchups. And when they played big on him with Embiid struggled struggled in the Milwaukee series with link, but Golden State doesn't have any links with Durant out right now. There's just no link on that roster and socio com even against a really good defender. Like Draymond green is going to be effective. Because if you look at him and what he's done throughout the play offs against smaller guys. He's had his way, but he struggles with big guys of which the warriors have none. And then Fred van Vliet was was great again. Didn't shoot it as well from three but defensively was tremendous. He drove. The ball he made shots. I mean, they were great have they been able to keep Golden State off the glass a little bit better. Would have even been an easier win, Golden State really stayed in the game. I think they got five or six threes off second chance opportunities. That's what kept them in it. But I thought it was a great start for Toronto. Van Vliet hasn't done anything wrong since you said he was awful. That's exactly right. That is absolutely right. Yeah. He has the last four games the last three games of that Milwaukee series. And then last night, he's been outstanding. I think he was fourteen of seventeen from three over the last three games at a Milwaukee series last night, not nearly as good shooting the ball, but still played extremely well, staying I'm wondering if you're the if you're the raptors you have any concern because you're not certain Siaka m- can maintain that in fact, let's just say he cannot maintain that. That's ridiculous. What he did last night. You got a great game from Marcus soul. You didn't get a good game from Igwe Dala. Draymond green was it. Very good. So. Wondering and Golden State still had chances in that game or in the game in the second hand dollars not making anything. I think he's missed his last eleven threes. And one of the games they were just letting him shoot the through so it's Dan, you had all that going on. Plus, all the emotion, you're at home and Golden State had a chance. He only won by nine points. Any concern there? There's no question. I mean, look, you're, you're playing the warriors. I mean you know teams in the finals for the fifth straight year. I mean you're going to be concerned in that series. Even if you go up three to nothing until you get the fourth win. You've got to be concerned against Golden State, and they're certainly things Golden State can do if they take care of the ball, a little bit better and do a better job getting back on defense. Even just those two things that are pretty basic, the whole game changes for them. So, yeah, there's certainly reason to be concerned in Toronto has to rebound better. And they can't put Steph curry on the line as much as they did last night. I mean they're they're playing with fire. Are there? "You were six eight or more you were in, for free now about now that we're rejoining the twenty-first to my knowledge guys there are a lot of players in this game tonight, who will be taller than six feet eight, but the maybe the most important ones are shorter the net. I'll throw that ball. Well, this is this is going to be first of all, those who are listening to us and figure out come on this is done deal. Golden State's, you know, Golden State's Golden State, Golden State isn't Golden State, they're down to playing one form of basketball instead of having to, because Kevin Durant still not playing, and they do not have homecourt advantage on this thing, which means the series is going to start in a very, very raucous place. Toronto is except for the absolute lunacy of Drake. Who I hope that, that they somehow? Glued to his seat tonight. It's a tough place to win a game. And if Toronto can get up on this thing before they start falling into the pattern of other teams that have tried to take on the warriors where you don't even know what hit you. And then next thing you know, you're out. I think this can be really good series and I would not automatically be giving it to Golden State in any way, shape or form not, not with Leonard on that team. It's very difficult for me. He Mitch I have to make a confession. I bob. It's so difficult for me to root against quiet, Leonard right now that I've just going to overlook Drake. I'm going to overlook. I I it's easier to route four Kawai than worry about rooting against Drake. And Bob and I talked about this on Monday Tuesday. Mitch. It wasn't even on my radar. The Golden State Warriors. We're not going to start this series at home. I wasn't paying any attention to it. It didn't until they won the series. I said, oh, yeah. They won one more game during the regular season. And we'll find out if this thing ever does go seven and game. Seven is north of the border. Whether the warriors might be kicking themselves for not winning a couple more regular season games, the way the Houston Rockets worth. So when I look at this series and right now until somebody tells me differently, I'm going to assume the Kevin Durant might not play the whole thing, okay? Because they tell me that even though he travel with the team you still limping when he showed up in Toronto who are the two best players in the gym the two best players in the gym are y and Steph curry, who's the best all around player in the gym. It's Kawai and the second best all around player in the gym is Draymond on green. Do I believe the warriors are deeper even? Without durant. Not so much, and I'm just wondering, Bob, it when you look at this series and we do look at the best players in the gym could it be the side, men who determine this thing? Oh, I think they're going to have a lot to say about it and tickly with regard to the idea that Durant is not available in this Mitchell said they play only one way now. And that. They their margin for error has been reduced. They don't have a plane be as they had had because of the rent, they could always say, you know, here's the ball, do which want. It's not quite that. Don't have that. Yes, they could be very will be. And I think that the, you know, the question the great X factors, if you will on the Toronto side, because we just we just don't know whether or not Pasco, Siaka and Sergio Baca and Fred van Vliet, who has had a very wild springs. Swings of did, my may cope on Fred van Vliet, the other day match, I have after the one one for eleven. I wonder why kept shooting. Well, guess what? Now, I know I kept shooting. Yeah. These guys aren't reliable as reliable as yet as maybe as Dala the, the but the and Kevin looney has really become a major factor..

"We start with the NBA game five of the Eastern Conference finals Lopez has it final second Tech's off the Toronto. Raptors the first team to win a road game and the Eastern Conference finals. And they're headed home to Canada with three two series lead. Final score in the walkie. The raptors one five and the bucks. Ninety nine more kissed shirt with the final call on ESPN radio on Thursday. The raptors trail the bugs thrived until nine minutes to go in the fourth quarter when Fred van Vliet drained three pointer knocked down seven three scored twenty one out the bench big lift for Toronto. But the player of the game was former. NBA finals MVP quite Leonard who appears to be playing heard, but scored a gay by thirty five points line with nine assists. Seven rebounds, two steals, is the raptors stunned the bugs one five to ninety nine Milwaukee on assigned to Kupa with game. I twenty four points in the Milwaukee loss of Asli, you know, I'm not allowed to but. Just got to keep, you know, keep your head up. Keep building of no confidence. No tried to, you know, pick up your teammates and till like we can do this. We got to go and can do this. Great habit. We've been planned gray basketball yet. We've been a good team as much as peace over-sedating amyloid his game. It's it's in the past. Now just got him. He believing the same living. We'll be working on the, the team Toronto is one three straight in the series is now one win away from each of the NBA finals. The first time ever ESPN's Tim Legler on how the raptors slowed down Yannis in the bucks. When you have a guy that you're so dependent upon to break teams down. And if you don't provide enough help on 'em. He scoring at the rim dominating you in that way, when that's what you really feeding your entire roster and that food chain is taken away, because that's what Toronto was done. They're loading up the lane to an extent that I don't think I've ever seen a perimeter player face that's on this level. And he doesn't really have another way to Trump that he doesn't know how to overcome what he seeing. And as a result, they've ca-. Completely changed the way the bucks offense operates from what we watched all year when they won more games than any team leaks. I don't know what the answer is for the bucks. So now to game six on Saturday night with a series moving.

"I mean they were clearly like caught off guard and I think it kind of carried over a little bit into game five. I like that coach, bud changed his lineup. I was kind of advocating for the brogden move to start. I think at least miratec has been disastrous throughout the series, so yeah, absolutely brogden needed to get in there. But even that, like it could have been for blood, so too. I mean he just had to get closer to what his best five was to open that game. I thought that offer them. But the sacrifice was that when they go to their bench like you mentioned. They didn't really have much of anything and Fred van of probably outscored their entire benched by himself, didn't they? It occurred to me, midway through the fourth quarter that when Fred van Vliet is like three or four times better than Chris Middleton. That's a pretty bad sign for the Milwaukee Bucks. And that's sort of where we were tonight. I never stopped believing in Fred vanfleet. It's also see him coming through. But yeah, when you talk about the raptors in general, it sort of sounds generic crazy. But like I mean, I'm genuinely shocked by how mentally tough. They have been for the last couple of weeks of the playoffs because we can go back to the middle of the Sixers series going into that game for Siaka questionable the entire internet is, basically, like all right. So I guess the Sixers have the series here and then they go get that win. And they fight in game seven get that win. And then after losing that game one you and I were on here and again everyone in basketball media, probably every raptors fan saw that game and was like, all right. Well, that's it. And you can go back to the game. One gets the Cavs. They had last year where it came down to the buzzer. They didn't get the win. Valance Eunice miss that layup that little chippy, and they completely folded. And this raptors team just never full like they keep coming even after the eighteen to four run to start the game. And I think it's a credit to Kawai and, but it's also just a credit then literally everyone else on the Rosser to has showed up over and over again over the last couple of weeks in a different guy kind of steps up each night. I didn't see any of it come because they believe in why down this zone conversation. No question they believe in him down the stretch. And that's the difference, nobody ever believed in derozen. I mean all the criticism outside. They tried to circle the wagons your after your after year. There was no way anyone could think. Okay. This guy's going to be able to like gouge games against LeBron James in the fourth quarter when he can't shoot a three pointer and he's afraid to shoot like there's no way like I mean, there was times that we're DeRosa would just like freeze in the middle of like shooting motion, because you realize you have a three point shot. You look at Kawais just like ice Lee staring down. Brooke Lopez's pulling up without a conscience. I think van of lead set a best in his post-game comments after game five is like, look. We have a guy that we want to close games night after night. He knows. That's his role. And he does it force. It's just like part of their formula that they all our body and understand it. And I think the surprising parts of me though, was that they didn't shift too far that way once the pressure has ramped right. Like it was a two way trust street. And that's the part where I've always questioned quite as you're gonna make his teammates better. Is he going to be willing to pass the ball and make the right reads is he going to be able to sort of pick apart of defense or is he going to get into doing too much of his own stuff to me twenty five shots from him? And just parading to the free throw line is such a healthier situation, then like thirty nine he was taking a game seven against the Sixers and you look at the margins of victory in these two games..

"I buy you know, I mean he went through as one of the best players in a game at that time, and he was struggling and couldn't get over the top all by his suffering story almost the rest of them their teams loss. Stan, what do you think about red panda? The lady on the unicycle that flips the bowls on top of her head. Well, I think those are great. I don't go to a basketball game to watch them. But, but I think that's really great talent. Yeah. My can you give me the sound here? I've never hit a guest co host with this just hit STAN Van Gundy, with this out, please. Show. Everything we just did stand was just to get you to call van Vliet awful. So we could get it on ESPN. We just wanted to get you so educated. So educated that you blurted rage filled. Vanfleet a professional basketball player. You may coach in the future. Been awful. Well, he has been and what for them, I think one of the reasons they got behind in the series, there was no. Fred been bleach been great into Rondos depth has been a big part of what they've been able to do in their depth. Hasn't been very good in the postseason. And one of the biggest reasons is Fred van Vliet has not been good. He hasn't been able to make shot. He's become hesitant and the other night. He got a couple of shots to go down and he was back to being confident. Fred van bleed. I mean, if you're Milwaukee, you certainly hope he misses that first one and goes back to be in a little bit into Sophal awful, not a little bit indecisive awful. Well though he had been awful. All right. That's enough. That's enough donlevatar. I'm gonna eat my wings with blue cheese and a lot of it, and I'm gonna come in here with lose face and a couple of napkins,.

"The bucks is Janas trying to make a spin move every single time it feels like and it looks like the Toronto Raptors have a rhythm on how to defend him every once in a while you on his breaks free and sees the help coming and goes the other way. But I do think that the raptors have created a formula here. Even if you look at the box score from last night, it's not like all the buckshot poorly outside of Malcolm Brogdon and yet they still lost that game. And they lost that game with hobbling co Leonard scoring only nineteen points barely even touching the ball in the first quarter. I like the raptors having figured this out and using variety to win the series, the bucks or twenty two and two after a loss. It's the best any team has ever been after a laws. The thing, the look for though, is what is he is talking about when coli Leonard guards onto compo- unto comport doesn't look very special. It looks like a real young player going up against a guy who knows a little bit more the numbers when you look at collide, Leonard guarding onto components done it more the last two games that he did in the first. To make unto to compile look like a pedestrian basketball player that, of course, we'll end the bucks. Are you going to mention him, you go ahead? Who's your God by Fred van bleed? Spark. He was a bulldozer. That's right. Every time this guy, the free Greek frown increasing defense who was there to just twelve. Fred van Vliet by guy guy difference last night called it. Your guy Benfleet poppy. What did he say? Here. Can you read this quota the quota gave the athlete? It has been a good day. None of the Meese anything tomorrow. "It could look even worse. And so they just have been able. I mean, Bryan Colangelo got their correct me if I'm wrong. Did he? He didn't draft Benson. He drafted Ben Simmons, right? He did. I have to amend that a little bit, but he drafted Ben Simmons because the team was set up to lose before he got there. But it was a question Mark at that point. I mean, there were there were people who thought Ingram was the better the to prospects and you know, well, we'll he's promising. I don't think anyone would say that now. Well, my point is I don't think that they've taken the step forward after the draft. To to get that next to get the to elevate themselves in a higher level. So that'll be the pressure Felton, Brandon, Brett Brown to figure out how to do that. But. All right. So talk about Toronto. Let's see. What is Vegas have that Matt. Half fifty five and a half. Second best. Win prediction the east. I, there's a really good team. And caveat caveat caveat Coa has to be self. But I see again, tremendous flexibility with their lineup. I think we're going to see the emergence of, oh, gee, Edano beat. He was one of the best rookies last year. It didn't get a whole lot of attention just because of the nature of already great rookie class. And he played in Toronto. I if I was Santoni oh, I would prioritize getting Janna. Nobody the fact that they were able to keep them out of that deal. I think it was a victory for the raptors. I think he he can play. He could defend probably about seventy percent of the league effectively. You put him next to Colli. You put him next to a. Very versatile guy in in Pasquale Siaka who's very, very versatile defensively. You you'd look at Fred van Vliet who can play multiple positions really came into his own last year. You know, Kyle Lowry is still an all star level player. I just love the defensive intensity and flexibility on this roster. Concerns guys about Nick nurse. Nick nurses, lifelong assistant who moves down into a team that could conceivably go to the finals. Yeah, level. He just replaces the the. Case in how concerned should a Toronto fan be that here's this guy who seemingly come out of nowhere to replace the coach of the year on a team that's expected to contend for a finals berth. I mean, I don't know if they would have made the same move. They knew they were gonna get Colli a couple of months later. I mean, the job sort of like. Brian May have made this comparison in the past. It's sort of like when David was hired before the Cavs got LeBron the job changed a little bit, but I think the big difference here is Nick has been around this group of guys. He's proven what he can do. And he got think probably rightfully gets a lot of credit for the way that second unit played last year where the shot a ton of threes got to the basket, almost nothing in the mid range. And if you look at the raptors so far in the preseason, that's how the whole team has been playing. And you know, obviously, trading damore to Rosen is a big part of that. Although Kawai does have a tendency to shoot some some pull up jumpers in isolation, some of those long twos, but oh, he, I think that's gonna be maybe the league leader pull up threes. Yeah, shoots hardens. The leader, right? Right, right. He's in there. He was two years ago and you know, the thing I love about this team is the number of wings they have. That's the most difficult position to get into modern MBA. You mentioning? I didn't even. I didn't have mentioned Danny green and see. CJ miles. Yeah, and delong. Right is in that mix just got so many options if they're going small and I think that's roots really going to be an advantage for them..

"Fifteen shots honestly like that's honestly kind of impressive okay and with this raptors team i mean this was the game you needed to win all right the series isn't over anything like that it's still anyone's series i mean i still got the raptors winning getting six but nonetheless i mean how do you let this happen okay because like kevin love played poorly pretty much everyone that they traded for played poorly it was his jr smith kyle korver and the jeff green and tristan thompson who pretty much played all right and toronto just simply couldn't get it done i mean you're watching it okay this is one thing that a little about social media to is that you're watching you watching the game with them and everyone's i don't know if they're doing it to get it's happening again the raptors are doing all right if you're raptors fan i mean good luck how do you have you sat pretty much watching this team since they were a team while wildly and wash them just blow like this i don't understand what it is maybe it's just one dhamar to rosen and kyle lowry c lebron james they freeze like i have no clue okay what are the funny part though the game was when fred van vliet he got bumped by lebron james he tries to walk out them and then robbers players are holding them back lebron season walks toward him and say fred van bleak definitely didn't want any part of the brown there but getting back to the game itself i mean.
