"Got some eyeballs on her. But now, coda is another film focusing on the family unit. And it's important because we're in the shadow of this pandemic. And a lot of people want to see movies like that. In this case, coda is about a family with death parents and son plus a daughter who can hear and she's got to balance her loyalty to them with her own desire to break out and follow her musical dreams. And I'll tell you something right now because of that warmth, coat is gonna win. Not only because it's got a lot of heart and that was lacking in a lot of picture nominations, but mainly because Jane campion, the director of power of the dog, is a woman and the academy knows as we all know that it's time once again to reward the only female director whose movie is up for best picture. Remember Catherine Bigelow with the hurt locker. And then the other chick who made no man land so therefore, there's no real competition here. Power dog won't win best picture, but they'll give best director to Jane campion. And they'll give best picture to coda. That's the way I see it. As for best actor, three the nominees. Javier Bardem playing Desi Arnaz and being the ricardos, Andrew Garfield, as Johnson launched it and tick tick boom. And Will Smith playing Richard Williams in king Richard, they're all nominated for roles as real life people. Which recently has been a plus for winning the Oscar. Now, of course, they have to compete against Denzel Washington who's all been dealing with Shakespeare and it's his 9th athlete nomination and 7th in this category. And even though Benedict Cumberbatch, I thought was the league guy months ago in power the dog. I thought his chances were great months ago, but now that Will Smith won the Screen Actors Guild Award for best actor. He's probably going to get this Oscar. I'm not sure I agree with it, but that's the way these things usually go. Best actress. Like I said, playing real people works for a lot of the time. And it works for these women too. Nicole Kim and play Lucille Ball. And I thought she was far and away the best actress this year. Jessica Chastain. She got a boost because she won the Screen Actors Guild Award playing Tammy Faye Bakker in the eyes of Tammy Faye. Kristen Stewart got some got some press for playing Princess Diana in the movie Spencer. But this is Kristen Stewart's first best actress nomination. She never smiles. She's not happy to be alive. She'll not shall not win this award. If she does, it'll be years from now. And I don't think there's a better actress out there than Jessica Chastain. I really don't. And I adored Nicole Kidman. I thought she nailed Lucy. But something in my heart tells me now with all this international bullshit whipping around the academy and us being scolded that we don't recognize the films of other countries, I can see Penélope Cruz sneaking in and winning for parallel mothers. I would love Nicole Kidman or Jessica Chastain, but I can see Penélope Cruz slipping into the end for parallel mothers. And a subtitled movie at that. Best supporting actor will not even be close. The two guys in power of the dog cancel each other out. Jesse Plemons and Cody Smith mcfee, who, by the way, is great and he'll win. He won awards this year. He'll win more and the rest of his career. He's phenomenal. J. K. Simmons, I can't enough, enough. He played Fred Merc. It wasn't Oscar worthy. You know, to me, he sells insurance on TV, but people let him get away with that and they're giving big roles in movies and generally he does well. But to me, he doesn't do anything special in playing Fred marks. And with everyone being obsessed with firsts, the winner will be Troy concert. Who will become only the second death performer to win an Oscar and the first male actor to do it. And then he and Molly matlin will probably pose for pictures backstage while madly signing to each other. Congratulations. So that looks like an easy one for me to pick the best supporting actress. Once again, the academy will give this award because of its social importance and wokeness. It won't go to dame, Judy Dench, who's won a thousand of these awards, and her final close up in the movie Belfast should get its own award. It will absolutely undoubtedly go to Ariana debose who made history by becoming the first Afro Latino and LG TB cue on fungal person of color to be nominated, she'll win here. She's also in the unique position of getting an Oscar as Anita in west side story, 60 years after Rita Marino won it for the same role. I can see the academy doing that. That's how my picks go. The other stuff, I don't really care too much about. I don't care if Paul Thomas Anderson wins best original screenplay, licorice pizza while I wasn't my favorite movie. It did have its moments. And I liked coming of age movies. But here's what I wanted to end free ball Friday with because if this is in free ball and nothing is. So a farm owner in shelbyville, Indiana. Had to be rushed to the hospital and critical condition last week because of an extremely angry hen. Was more than halfway up his ass, yes, this is true. And here's the part you'll never be able to understand. It went in feet first. You can't tell me. There's a person in the world who would want to put a live hen up there as head first, let alone. But this is feet first. So the paramedics get called, they probably couldn't, I mean, I'd probably be petrified as well as alarmed. Very scared to deal with. I hate chickens to begin with. So the paramedics come to this guy's house and there's this farm animal in the man's butt and frankly, to be honest, these sorts of things happen in rural areas like this. So paramedics have seen things of this nature. So they get there and they find this big, fat, 50, 7 year old guy, Christopher Adams, drunk as his skunk. He's all bloody and he's naked on a hen house floor with a loudly clucking 5

Yeah, we'll come back to the Broadway. Don't go anywhere. We're going to reveal the bracket. I've already hooked, okay, Billy Jack, don't go anywhere. Here it is. The finals of the fine bomb caller bracket. Legend has knocked off Jim and I man beat squirrel. So the final matchup will be between legend and Iman and it's a safe guest. These guys do not like each other. Alabama versus auburn, Billy Jack, you are on the air, go right ahead. Roll. Coach Powell. Good afternoon. Yeah. There you are. I live here in Arkansas for 40 years of my life that wasn't my choice, but I got a lot of friends, you know, there are some fans who are facing my water back in Arkansas game. You know, when I go, I like all your dollars, but when he tells me that legend says, he says that he's a devil and all that. Every time he does and I think that Charlie manual so that's an example of history. Going to tell you what. I don't know why. I think about it. Yeah, I mean, that was also good for the doors to go to. No, I want to ask you something. You know, I hear on your show a lot. From experts and whatnot. And I like you. I like your handicap, Josh, I can't remember anyways, they always talk about matchups. Now, when you talk about this Arkansas and Gonzaga game, to me, it just seems like if by the way, they're giving Arkansas 9 points in this game and it's going to right after you go out there. Southwest coming home. So, but when you talk about matcha Alabama, those are now going to SDC style. I don't fancy defense. And to me, Arkansas and Alabama play center violence except for one thing. Office has a leader. They've always got a leader on the field on the court where they're running. And Alabama didn't. That was a little bit of their shortfall. And that's just my opinion. I don't even know where it's for the basketball bigger old football than I am. But y'all always look like me. If you haven't changed this con jag of team, don't sell them short. They have a couple of amazing players. Fred is up next in Texas. My man. Paul fine, brother. I hope that everyone out there is doing great because I'll tell you what. I've been listening to show last few days and I'll tell you and I just retweeted a few pictures from backend that was 20 what was that 2016 SEC media days out in the Hoover and man, you talk about some fantastic memories with as I wrote some of the most big mouth and even bigger hearted sports fans to ever walk the earth following your show Paul and I tell you what the calls, the callers, all the people out there, what you're doing right now with the final four, just phenomenal. And look, there was no way you could lose. There was no way to say it could lose because the callers are so great. It doesn't matter who you root for. The particular cup of tea a lot because they're all compelling. Yes, Jim, I said that I admitted Jim is compelling. But I'll tell you what the thing that I love the most listened to this week, taking me down memory lane. So many people, so many voices, some of them have passed and gone to the great beyond. Some of my new summer didn't, but I miss all of them. It's been too long since we've all been together, that's why they show this this essence of your show. When you used to do the fire bomb rant, the video, Paul I missed that. Especially now, and I'm going to challenge your producers. Right now, you ever heard your producers ran into Paula, they listening? There are. Here's my challenge. In the age of TikTok where people are becoming stars on videos in the past 5 show not have the video red. Bring it back. Everybody needs to be a hashtag, bring back the rant, bring back the ranch Paul. One final thing to Paul for the show and people, again, let us certain parts and change is always hard, but here's one thing that's never changed. You've been there with the wit, you've been there sometimes the servant sometimes a little sweet depending on the caller, but you have always been the shepherd to guide this thing through. And the fans, they keep coming back. People may go away for a while, but one thing about your show. It's like going home and seeing people you haven't seen during the holidays. Somebody's picking up a conversation. You knew they'd be talking about that particular topic because that's what they talk about all the time. You go in the backyard, you see the pit going. You go out on the side and evolve the coffee and you hear the voices. In regards to what they're talking about, you just happy to hear those voices, because it's not always guaranteed that we will. Paulo, I hope the radio and the Internet and YouTube never go off without your voice somewhere with miss Tammy's voice somewhere, all the great callers in the past. As I said, I love them all. God bless all of them. And you, Paul fireball, deserve to be saluted because you are a great American. Love you, Paul, congratulations to the final two looking forward to the championship. Bye bye mission. Love you. Friends for playing on peace out. Thank you, Fred. Mark is up next in Knoxville. Hey, mark. Echo Fred. I think you should have a Nobel Peace Prize. Also award for being on C-SPAN or Springer..

Occasionally when you're one hundred and twenty four years old you know something might slip your mind. You can always check on the internet. I gotta tell you the internet it's so intercepting and and there's a lot of things on the internet. That aren't true was someone puts something input and it's on your coffee table or on your desk like a newspaper. You'll have a better feeling of you know the what's really going into the editorial that's my opinion anyway. Art rumors habit that chicago bears. Maybe leaving soldiers soldiers field in chicago to arlington about twenty five thirty miles away and again so many memories get gale sayers got the last years of george halas You've got the brian picolo. You've got the eighty five bears. Your thoughts are as a former. Nfl player maybe losing soldiers field. Well you know i. I actually got to plan soldier field a couple of times in preseason over the years and it was a special place to play football because of what you just talked about tradition. I mean you go back. Even i go back to the bears when they played in wrigley field. Yeah you know. So i mean i look at it from a dollars and cents standpoint and i think the mccaskey's realist position or they see what's happened in los angeles. They see what happened in dallas next on the list. You know to get that money from the nfl for the stadium commission and build themselves. You know beautiful stadium. I personally say they spent three or four hundred million dollars about eight to ten years ago to put the spacecraft on top of repeal is really bizarre what you see it in person. It's a pretty nice stadium and it has great tradition. You know. I just can't argue with the fact that the nfl is always trying to to move up and bring in more revenue and maybe this is a way to get out of the inner city of chicago. Which is pretty scary. Fred mark mancini. Your comments You know two hundred and twenty four is of course art source happens to be only fifty nine so your comments about maybe the history losing the history of all the great things and gale sayers six touchdowns against the forty niners something. I'll never forget it was able to watch it down here in los angeles. What about losing soldier field another historic site in the national football. Funny you say. That weren't a t shirt. Now with three rivers stadium on it. That's another icon but yeah never been in chicago but a lot of history there. It's funny when you when you started wearing these t shirts with the nostalgia behind it. Nice on a guy. A couple years ago warned one that had milwaukee county stadium. Bring back the.

"So the Bears and Jaguars tomorrow. Do you actually want to see the bears get a win now? I don't know. Freddie open of Alexander. I don't know. Xander, if you've changed your opinion, but a couple weeks ago, you didn't want to see the Bears do well, because you were worthy organization might Say what I'm gonna okay, I'm gonna walk back one half step, and here's what I'm going to say. OK, it's hard for me to not want the bears to win, especially after seeing what happened last week, even though it was the Vikings and maybe now it's a little less special. But it's hard for me not to want the Bears to win. I just don't want everybody to think that everything is fine. Because this season wasn't fine. You know, they started out great. They hit the skids hard. They had this quarterback issue all the sun, the quarterback we thought wasn't the guy all son has improved enough to where it's like This is going to be an asset for if not for us for somebody else. I want those oper management issues. Don't with whatever that looks like. Because this year was not the type of year that the Bears fans are looking for. What is simple is that so if they make the playoffs just as long as they realized, look, we have to do better. Then what we did this year. The playoffs doesn't fix that right. One of the reasons I'd like to see that and get to the playoffs. Another thing is, I'd like to see Tennessee beat the Packers to rotate. The Saints won. Yesterday, sir, is trying to stay close to the Green Bay Packers and The Packers play Tennessee tomorrow. Now the Packers don't ever very good run defense. I don't have the numbers here. I'm just pulling this off the top of my head, which sometimes can be a scary thing. No, I don't. But that didn't work for us. I know Well, because we didn't know Bears didn't run the ball. Yes, she So New Orleans is 11 and four Green Bay's 11 and three and they play the last game of the day tomorrow night. Tennessee is at Green Bay. Now, when you say play Tennessee, you're going to get Derrick Henry running and running and running and running, and I would love to see the Tennessee beat the Packers tomorrow, this way the final game of the year. Bears could actually not the Packers out of the possibility of being the number one seed. Now we know this Packer's going to the playoffs, okay, but it would be nice is a bears fan to see them. Knock out Rebate just screaming match because Green Bay is going to have to, you know, kind of not not Doggett, right? Still need to win right? And that's why I want to see it. And I want to see that too. What was that ridiculous Staten? I don't think we mentioned on the air the other day. What about Derrick Henry? He has more rushing yards. Generally do you remember what he has more rushing yards himself than 20 teams in the NHL? I think he has 1600 years of rushing. Nobody's rushing. Unh! Yeah, in the NFL. He has more craft beer. Yeah, Of course. The ones I had were very good. I had one from Hubbard's cave right. They had some It was a French toast. I think it all who's that called el something and had chilies in and that was very good. But anyway, yeah. Derrick Henry has more yards rushing this year than 20 team. If you get f l that is and the bears or one of them because the Bears have C. Montgomery with 906 Cordell Cordero Patterson, who is questionable for tomorrow. He's got 214 yards right now. That's 1120. He had 163 from Travis Key. So you're still little 1283. So, yeah, so he's got more than the Bears was not a surprise visit. Bears weren't running the ball, but it's an amazing number so well so first you want to see The Niners beat Arizona today and anyone see Tennessee beat Green Bay tomorrow that he has a real shot potentially has a real shot here. They do. Tennessee right now is having a having a decent season. They're 10 and four. They're tied with Indianapolis, So it's a big game for them, too. Okay, they want to win their division, so It's um it would be really cool to see the Bears and the Packers the final week of the season, and it came again. I think that both of them and for the Bears to step their game up, have a better offense that they had several weeks. Here's the test back off Green Bay. Here's the test. 3123323776. Do you agree? Or do you think I'm an idiot? Which having that it? That's you know, that's are they mutually exclusive. No, no, no, no. Let's go to bear fan. Bob. Hello, Bob. Hey, Bob. Good morning Market morning. Fred was a player. Hope your holidays were great. They want too many ways. You know, Fred, I really agree with you, but I'm going to take a different angle on you. I'm getting tired of losing. How about win for a change? You know what a concept go to the playoffs? What another concept? I'm getting tired of hearing about the double dunk. I was at the game. I was so close. I heard it. Never mind. Anyways, and wouldn't even I'll even double down on your friend. How about the Bears get into the playoffs and meet the Packers in the playoffs and beat him water concept because its affairs do get in the playoffs. I think this team was hot in there getting hot at the right time. That's gonna be a tough team to, uh The bears will be a tough team to be, but that brings us back to today. We gotta win tomorrow. You know, Mike Glennon gets blitzed Blitz blitz and when he does throw when the quarterbacks in the safety's go toward the receivers, feet because that's where Mike Brennan Clinton throws, he always throws low. You got a pretty good chance of breaking up the play or getting an interception there. You know, we saw that in Chicago with Glenn, and he's bad. He can't hit a receiver in stride. So if they do that there's gonna be some opportunity there. And I think a lot of running because Jacksonville can stop the run, run, run, run, Forrest keep on running. I don't care who's running and you should be able to score some points. And with Stravinsky and Montgomery keep doing what you're doing full amount on a bootleg. Keep it in the open, guys. I want to see some receivers get some opportunities there and we should be able to win the game. What a great great show today. Fred Mark, you guys have a great day. Thanks. I appreciate it is always and I think it'll be. He's robbed a couple of points there. The Bears 32 carries for David Montgomery in the last game the most he had before that, and every game this year was 21. So 32 carries the bill Lazor realized. Listen, we're pounding the rock. We're going to be able to run the ball of David Montgomery. And what's that Got to do is gonna open the passing game will be able to throw the ball simple comes. It's basically like the simplest thing in all of football. If you establish a running game, you could run play action passes, and it'll be easier for you to throw the ball man. Oh, man now, he said. He said he's not an idiot..

They're trying to be more transparent and responses to these concerns pointing to the inclusion of racial data in the pandemic reporting last year both the city and county passed resolutions declaring racism as a public health crisis and the need to address racial bias and decision making on a national scale advocates are calling on the CDC to include racial information when reporting cases and at home caregivers are looking after the people most vulnerable to Cova nineteen and need more protective gear to do their job. More on that from Eric. Take it off president of the Caregivers Union. Sei you seven seven five sterling. Haarder's says that this week Washington state agreed to put in home caregivers who are deemed essential workers on the priority list for personal protective equipment. But they can only receive p. p. e. if they're caring for someone who is showing signs or has tested positive for corona virus. Harder says it's a great first step but it's not enough. Caregivers are leaving their homes. Every day they're taking care of their clients. They're taking them shopping. They're taking them to. Doctors Appointments and it is not fair to expect caregivers to do that work and not give them the equipment that they need to do it safely. This is PMS renters. "And finally we are releasing in April a program that will allow us to actually produce the machine readable file for our clients and assisting in developing of their consumer display. Thank you Fred Mark. Let me turn back to you for some final thoughts. It sounds like you've got some great services to help. Hospitals proactively prepare for price transparency requirements. Is there anything else that you think? Healthcare system should be on the lookout for during twenty twenty related to price transparency. Well well I wish I had a crystal ball and be really specific about what to expect in twenty twenty twenty twenty one and beyond but Some hospitals and health systems are really hopeful that these the court challenges that are out. There really push these requirements out beyond twenty twenty one or perhaps even completely strike them down altogether I'M GONNA probably date myself with reference but it makes me think of An old toy I used to have a child called the magic eight ball. Or You'd ask a question shake it up and in a small window on the back of the ball and answer pull it up and he would say yes no Even answer it is certain her. If you remember there was one answer. That was out there that was called. Don't count on it and I think that's really appropriate here. I think in the meantime we'll hospitals can do is just start planning the expanding requirements now. Particularly this shop lable service is at the same time. Just keep an eye out on some of those court challenges from the American Hospital sociation Children's Hospital Association just few but also keep an eye on some of the legislation that's out there to surrounding surprise medical billing that circulating both the Senate and the House that potentially could see some action by May As we all know in the industry momentum that's been building on pricing transparency probably since the mid two thousands and it's really picked up tremendous team over the last two years. It be hard to fathom an abrupt stop ahead for this pricing transparency. Train mark..

"Tonight. It's aria michael edmark and we just took the well some of us. I don't know whether or not michael dead but mark and we all just took the kinsey test. It's only seven questions so it's not going to be extremely accurate to no one's surprise i. I don't feel extremely accurate. I can tell you that i was smack in the middle bisexual equally heterosexual homosexual which doesn't really surprised me. You're sitting over there in a skirt with dyed. Purple purple and paintcare is fred mark all right. Maybe paint now okay. I don't know i haven't looked dallas and of pink but it's mostly purple and red yeah so no surprises there. I'm rather upfront about being bisexual. I think it surprises a lot of people who expect me to be like like exclusively intimate or whatever which according to some people would make me heterosexual anyway but let's let's not get into that because i definitely don't agree with that assessment. Michael results looking so on the scale of zero two six two six seven point scale yeah so i got three. You got a little too too. I came into the two. Also i wonder if they just don't put anybody at the very end of the spectrum my they want everybody to believe that there's somehow somewhere in the middle what this is where really strange i i got to say that the questions has to do with whom do you form strong emotional national bonds men or women or both or mostly or whatever and while i mean i have a business partner who's man. That's a strong emotional bond. I like hanging out with dudes because we have we share many of the same interests. Never have i considered the notion that this would somehow make me gay <hes> and then the other one how to remember half to. I mean no it doesn't didn't i've been sitting here thinking about the few months ago we were talking about. What the new york times called the buddist sex but i remember but sex it was talked about on free talk live. I believe <hes> so alcohol was involved. Yes alcohol was definitely. This is the <hes> there's no doubt the video version of freetalklive i guess that's correct and i think we got into it briefly during the show but we saved most of it for the after show and it is these largely rural self identified heterosexual dudes who are engaging in homosexual acts with other men while developing strong emotional attachments to these others but not admitting that they were developing strong emotional attachments and saying you know it's it's not gay to just occasionally engage in a gay sex at let's not gay we're just hanging <music> out right and pleasure each other's private parts. It was exactly as gay as it sounds. We're just that sounds like a case of denial. They just weren't calling it gay. That's exactly what he does and they admitted during the article when they interviewed these men that alert a large part of it was a result of them being ever places where they couldn't come out safely. Say oh yeah i'm bisexual because of all these social stigmas attached to it you know they weren't those fruity gay men who wear too twos or whatever they were straight cowboy working on the farm kind of gay brokeback mountain stuff. Yes yes exactly okay okay..

you on the emotional those big for Jim you are you tearing up a little bit I mark I told the pastor comeback but I I feel like gyms in watching since since Tony all before the break there we were discussing marks upcoming wedding at the end of November this is a strange question but hear me out okay the reason I'm asking this okay are your parents or your fiance's parents adding any input as to who they need invited to the wedding sometimes a mom and a dad will have people that have been family friends for years or that they've worked with for years and they want those people at the wedding has that happened you know we're definitely at the mercy of the parents on that one there are some people that we've never heard of who will be attending I can't wait to see you know the first time am I might have I don't want to speak incorrectly or perhaps I met them when I was you know seven eight which was you know thirty years ago thirty some odd years yeah just be ready because after they come to your wedding and they have your address you're going to get tons of Christmas because that you don't ever be fine well I I could use a new friends to be honest so this could be a good thing timing yeah very good thank our rule winter and I got married was when it came to people invited the wedding we have to know them and we have to like them and my parents fought me on that they go that's ridiculous wait at our wedding for us to not know them or like them yes that's the way they used to do it years ago but it's new now with better for did you lose well we had decided to my my my wife and I paid for everything in our wedding you know what okay wanted everything to be on us right well now you got control you would think you would think so we figured out the most we could afford was a hundred people that was the limit right okay then my parents gave me a list of people that they needed to be there and it was in the thirties he was like thirty four thirty five okay and I said we can't do it we're only gonna have a hundred and like you there were people's name on the list that I'm like I don't know who that is well they were my dry cleaner when I lived in why don't we kick a invite those guys to the wedding so it did create some problems at the time I'm impressed that you are able to support your own wedding that's that's something that's clearly not going on over here good for you bill well it took us forever to afford it because we said all along we at this point we're adults we were both in our twenties about late twenty sixth that's that's really it's amazing cap Bennigan's what we thought it was at Bennigan's the back the banquet room and fight against what is Fred mark but what is spread they do agree chicken figure that are so delicious right so delicious what has been so far what has been the biggest point of contention while planning this wedding other been anything where you guys are really said while we're polar opposites on this I don't think there's anything that hasn't been a point of contention it's really helping us grow as people built World War learning things too go through our our our it we're we're we're we're learning how to work through things it's and it's important but I think the biggest thing was the venue with the started but now I've I've I'm very excited that I was bore where we're having it and all that type of stuff so is there any I had a lot of car was big for that a lot of course always gonna be paying right right that was a big thing I don't gelato card right am I on that the list well the the so the Sunday bar was forty five per person to sell both cell and then I'm I'm like forty five dollars per person for a Sunday Sunday I'm like you know what this one to draw the line we're not going sunny but for forty five person where's the gelato card it right Roland I mean there is a lot of like six seven Bucks a person wait a second so is if you don't mind me asking is there an open bar and what does that cost of verses I haven't found a bar scene I I I'm not price out the open bar because that's that's a given well there's different levels of right you know that right someone just to a beer and wine some will do a harder drinks that was one of the points of contention yeah I'm go with the beer and wine like old chance Revan vodka okay so there was a you know a people I have friends who will enjoy having a full bar so yeah I bet I relented on that and I know how much supports means to you right so at some point are you pushing to do something sporty at like will there be will there be baseball caps at every table with different team logos on are you doing anything like that that that hopefully will be for the the bar mitzvah down the line here might maybe maybe my second one but I think we're going to I think I'm going to be perhaps wearing air Jordans is the plan here billion is that true yes I think that's what we're gonna do because you know I've I've I perform better when I'm wearing you feel more comfortable right and if it's a nerve wracking we'll go with the talks CDO but with the summer Jordan's on anything we're gonna go suits to SO Honolulu the whole talks thing just kinda to Steph yeah yeah give me a little flavor can you give me a suit except that if there's ever a day because I know what you mean about tuxedos but if there's ever a day where you're going to wear one you go well my wedding day kind of makes sense he sing us reliant on this one to the point of contention where I want your bill now but now maybe I didn't know that it I mean it's still up it's up you'll have plenty of other taxi to opportunities I know you like to solve international crimes I decide if you should always requires a taxi to add it's it's fun to where you know if you just go talk to random Sunday white Sox game guarantee we'll let you know just over the top right a lot of attention right big data that you know and maybe Louis Robert will be called right season Hey where it talks to that Charlotte I should a warning for Dylan cease a quick reminder the show is you know you usually goes until noon today because of an early white Sox start the bonus our will start half an hour early so you can hear mark and I on the stream for the bonus our that'll start at a low roughly eleven thirty five eleven forty cystic rebel explain the rest of the next it's bill "Is coming from because his all kinds of chess pieces in play here. Yes, is Fred, Marcus and Fred is the more sympathetic of the two. Whereas Marcus seems determined to rub shit in the owner of this, the beebees owners face is much as possible. To make things make this day as difficult as possible for the owner even though the already run their court case they've won the rights sleep in the same bed they've gotten everything they want, but Marcus really just wants to late into this even though the bankrupted him this guy isn't severe debt this being as holding on by threat, but markets will not let up with his shenanigans. What is making Fred really uncomfortable? Because in retaliation, they've publicized, the fact that we're coming on this day, and anyone who supports us should come to the BNB this day and support us in our gayness. But on the flip side, Josh the owner of the being be has done the same thing, anybody who supports my 'cause she's come to the BNB tonight as well. But it turns out there's only one other guests day, MIR a Russian, who doesn't speak English. Who's big and imposing, and muscular and quite scary, and no one's really sure whose side he's on. Is he on any side throw into the mix? Josh BNB's owner being B's owners teenage son. Who seconds after Fred? Mark his arrive quarters Fred into tell. Oh, by the way, I wasn't sure a year ago, but I am now. I'm gay too on your side. And is constantly catching. Fred in some form of undress to tell him some important piece of information, which is making Freddie, credibly uncomfortable that you have to stop bothering me, your father's downstairs, could you? Please let me put some clothes on. And Fred's very uncovering Fred's, just like I just wanna go. I just want to leave our here. Teach this guy something over here to make each shit. Because it seems like we're just here to make each shit. And I'm trying to figure out how to get into what's going on here without ruining everything. Turns out, it seems that the Russian guy has arrived to hook up with the teenage that they arranged this on the internet. But freighter starting to get the impression that this guy's not what he seems at all. The he sees some kind of Bashar 'cause he's got all kinds of weird, like military and strange tattoos. And he's fearing for the son's safety like they're going to go up to some park and screw away from the watchful eyes of his father. But he's afraid that, that sounds not gonna come back. And when the sun is come back these going to become an after them to is that was happening. I'm not really sure while not get to tell you. I do know exactly what's happening. I really enjoyed this one. The problem with is that when leaves the beam be the tension goes out of it. When it goes to this part a couple of times it, it gets messy. Like when it was in the one location, it was nice and claustrophobic once you get away from that not so much anymore. And then it starts relying a lot of technology, which isn't as much fun as like cell phone, jammers and a whole lot of stuff with infrared camera stuff. You know night, goggles night vision goggles, and the problem with night vision, goggles is it? Everybody in the cast looks the same and night vision goggles. So a lot of times I was watching footage having no idea who is watching a who's doing what to whom. And. It's a great little thrill ride. And at the end of the day, you wind up in a very different place than when you thought you were going to end up and it gave me a lot of pause. And it made me stop and think about how toxic. Being in the closet against your will can be. And how maybe sometimes if you give people the benefit of the if maybe you don't think everyone's always out to get you all the time. They'll surprise you. And maybe not everybody is your enemy or your enemy is not exactly who you think it is anyway, and I did not do a good job describing this movie is. All right. True confession done. Why's Patrick up at three AM?.

"Primarily, let Tino community. Where were you put the ad tells the people, I'm expecting you to come here because this is something you will enjoy hundred percent of crash. Yeah. So I live in Atlanta, which, as anybody can tell you is the bright Chinese center of the universe. And a you can't convince anybody from Atlanta other ones, and the south side of the city tends to have more diverse neighborhoods than the nor cited city inside the perimeter and by intentionally targeting comic shops game shops. There are many game shops on southside city, but by essentially targeting comet shops, and card shops on the south side of the city, you are inviting non white players to your show. Both sons that don't that make sense. And you think games will obviously on game conscious advertising gaming stores. And no that totally makes which gave me stores, are you going to be in? Yeah. If all you do is put it in the local one on the other side of town to use your example. I'm inadvertently or advertently limiting my audience. Hundred percent. Do point also where you advertise online make a difference. So if you're advertising on black girl, nerds dot com, which is kind of a very cool site that I, I think it's pretty neat. The you're sitting a message about who's invited. Also, some of your activities at your convention may be more appealing to different demographics or 'cause plan if you're con has a big 'cause play element that tends to apply that tends to attract more women than roleplaying games got this part of the part of the process. The tricky is once she gets a woman into your convention. Maybe you contempt placate. On oso. Switch. Asser true. Very true. Got it got it. We have a group in Atlanta called, formerly known as Atlanta drunk drag. Now they're just call themselves dungeons dragons and they are proselytizing DND as a bar game. So normally we think trivia as bar game Archer, something like that. No. These guys go into ours and kind of the cool area of downtown Atlanta, and, like, hey, we're playing DNB. Anybody wanna play his anybody ever heard of DND? Does anybody want drink specials, whether sitting at our table? Yes. Okay. Come on. We'll give you some nice that's bright in. So if it is literally, the bait and switch and it works because people like the Indy love stories. Some other. So other ways to make your con- more inviting obviously specifically inviting those people, but one way to alleviate the fear of being the only one there is have women and people of color in positions of responsibility in power etre, convention and put. They faces on stuff. Okay. That way players are looking at it saying, cool. Well, I mean, I guess if they had black ice that are, you know, running this part of the show, though, the obviously, people are, obviously, if the if there's a woman in charge of this part of the con- than they have a, you know, it's not all white guys running it. So it's probably not a white guy's going to be that makes sense. That's legit. I mean, I, I look at one of my co one of my, the Kohner director its Bill me, and Chris and Chris's if one for her and her brilliant, brain for money 'cause she's like, CPA. Level teacher. We wouldn't have conscious I suck suck at math. And my wife told me, I I you need somebody who knows money better than you. I'm like, well, Honey, that's everybody. So, but anyway. Yeah. No, that's no. That makes sense because. Somebody like that being in the special shirt, they're obviously in charge, they get to make decisions. They're doing important things. No that that's, that's, that's what you're saying is. So, like we'll dub rat in my head. But it's, it's a small piece, but it doesn't happen. You know it it doesn't if it doesn't happen, you know. Well, it doesn't happen by accident that true doesn't happen by accident. Because there's this idea of, you know, convention, Samir talker. See, we're going to get somebody to the money. And we're just going to pick the best person to do it. And, you know, my, my friend, Fred does money in my friend. John does people's taxes in my, my friend, Mark is a is a mathematician, we'll give you know, these are people, I know. But until you say, yes, Fred Mark, John can do it. But so can Jennifer so can Michelle in so can Cindy and everything being held will pick one of the women because everybody else's ado, though. Yeah. I mean there's an again. It's why not with you. I totally agree. Okay, that makes sense. So that kind of representation in places of power can make a convention, very inviting also having women Deums and Deums that come from other minority groups that you want to attract is also very. Can be very inviting because that way when you go to the table, you're not the only one make sense, even if you're walking through, and it's the this person looks like or similar to me, or I share resemblance to therefore, I am, you know, their it's okay master is a position of power. Right. It is. So that person's doing things, and they're running in their leading charge at that table there and control that table. Okay with you in specifically saying, like it sounds weird when you're looking for the ends and, and believe me, we need about one hundred DM's to make dragon Congo. It sounds weird. When you looking for Deums to say, hey, I'd like I'd like some women, the M's, right? Like some trans Dems, or I specifically wanna find some black Deums or Latino Deums, and you kinda have to hunt them down in it takes sometimes a little bit of specifically inviting them because it's like, hey, I have a convention. I need him Suge. All right. Everybody else. Right. But to specifically, go to John say John look, I really like you to the in for my con-. You are black in there. Not enough people of color at our convention, and it's really important to me, the have you, there is demand, a position of power to show people that this game for everyone. I feel so on my side page when I hear them, like I love the idea. And then as a con organiser go am I going to be seen as a patronising dick? If I asked that question that way you know that I. I worry. But I guess the what I'm hearing though is fuck. You worry Brett go do that thing. Right. Don't be worried about it the, the benefit outweighs my discomfort. Because whatever dude is just so what? So I you know, I guess it can be done in a patronising Wang of this is the tone in the delivered because the way you're saying. And like you know that, that works from that. I love what you're saying. So sorry. So I mean it's also, you know, in the, in the very at the very base basic level, I think any reasonable person will see you saying, hey, I see a problem in that Micon my space, whatever it is, is not diverse enough, and I want to do something to see if I can fix that and I'm going gonna try this, and I'm sorry if I'm saying the wrong way, but my, my heart is honestly in the right place. I think people will get that for enough that make sense like that another thing that. Every convention must must must have is a solid code of conduct like a code of conduct, and it's gotta be visible. Everybody's gotta see it like it's gotta be on your website. It's gotta be on the door game area like you need to send it to every DM and you know, prep them to be able to interact with its and let them know what it is. Let them know that they are required to shut down any bullshit at their table. Like they are required to shut the on bullshit at their table that code of conduct strongly tells the woman who's afraid of the table, kind of rape be where personal color. He's afraid of hearing, whatever. No, no. That makes sense there table that it's just not gonna fly. And in the thing is you have to you have to lead from the top, you have to walk the walk like, Dave, Cody who's kind of the, the boss dog of everything that I need to. Ever think about dragon con is very strongly said, I believe women like Han believe in people color at my con-, I believe in making my conflict sessile for anybody who's

Hi. Hi, guys. How you doing? Doing grain bar. Put me in coach I met at a place. Centerfield bought ready to hit against that nationals bullpen Markham's brass. You didn't grab a bad after that. That's bad. Wow. Pretty bloody wasn't it? Well, it took they took a close game. They took a five four game at all of a sudden nine runs in the last two innings and talking about having fun. You saw nothing but smiles, and bench, Mark, I ran out of the room ninth-inning cubs her bed. I come back. I thought it was one of the position players pitching, but it was a real pitcher, right? Yeah. That, that was the rumor was MAC race by boy the bullpen not doing helping Davey. Martinez longtime Joe Madden bench coach. Not helping daily Martinez. Hang onto his gig at bullpens going to kill him. Yeah. Pretty pretty toasty right now. That was an issue going in. And it seemed magnify up last night. Especially with the fact I think they, they added a few runs and make things interesting spice or your thought that they were in it and, and just got away. And that's probably the most demoralizing thing in baseball. When you don't have a bullpen naked shut the opponent down and give you a chance to come back. Why you go there and mentioned that. And I don't know is it more demoralizing them bring in a guy for the bullpen penalty box before the first batch? Yeah. Boy, the moment where you thought. Oh, it's gonna get away for good. We throw down to that pitch as contrast. But luckily, we get this concentration and and retrieve football because that could have been just the ultimate disaster. We've all seen market following the cubs long enough, we've all seen what Carl Edwards can do it seems like you know, you hate to say it, but it seems like it's all in his head and the whole thing with the, you know, the hesitation move in spring training and everything else this, and he's got the ability. We know that do you think it's all just upstairs? I think so, you know, the guys trying to maybe case where he's trying too hard. It's trying to find answers rather than just Gloucester and throw in. I late anything on, on pitch the pitch, because, as you've mentioned earlier, it was tinkering with that, that news delivery. They have a toe Taft and then that was ruled illegal toward the end and then he goes down to the minors. You think things straightened out, and he did look good. It's for a couple of times up, and now once again, he's had some speed bumps and the curve is still there, but he's got to find a way to polish everything up. Mountains. Nice enough to pick up the phone. Give us a call Washington DC following the cubs. So Kris Bryant hit three home runs. That's been the story of the day. The axe handle of the bat. We mentioned earlier because after the game now you're probably filing down in the locker room. But WGN TV had Brian down the field. Well you know they do the two-three minute thing with the star of the game and Jim dish as it under stand. You found a curry Bellinger bat Cody, Cody Stara MVP front runner Los Angeles Dodgers. When the cubs got into Cincinnati. The dodgers had just been there and Cody left, his, his bent behind. And I was interested surprise. Maybe to hear Brian tell the TV audience is using it in batting practice today. But, you know, stuck with my regular bat number one, I'm going don't know, don't be messing around with other bats. You got the axe handle your front runner now. Maybe for player of the month in may, which then brings us back to the basic question. Fred, Mark mirv played a little league. Or maybe we made it to high school and somewhere, we got to the point where we go, you know, the same work, and I'm not going to be in the big leagues. But Mark Fred, we all had that back. You know you got a new bet and little league and you get a hit and you'd think it's the debt and you keep the bed. So is it the axe handle that, or is it Bryant or a combo? What's going on there, Marcus? How come nobody said anything about the bat when he went one for eight the last two games? That's right. Hey, Chris is pope's on a in a sarcastic way about how much the fat is, is made a different thing. He was saying, you know, sometimes it's two zero or nothing Indian or. Oh, yeah. It must be that because even though the player's swinging it having fun with this, but it's just this is like a brush fire, that's getting out of control. It's certainly him in the best. Certainly has as a good field, but I mean I mean come on. One eight homers last twelve games. It's, it's not all the back. I went back and watched in the one thing for the last two or three years that I've mentioned with Kris Bryant is the one thing he doesn't do as he doesn't miss mistakes. And I went back before we came down here to do the show and I went back and looked at all three of those pitches. The first one was a fastball about waist high over the middle of the plate. The next two were hanging curve balls, right in the middle of the plate, he's not gonna miss those, and as long as pitchers keep throwing them, he's going to keep hitting like this. Exactly. And your eyes aren't lying there, 'cause I, I was watching replaced last night, and this morning as well, and he is wearing the pitches that he might have fell off in April. I look back to the Marlins series in Miami where there were a couple of pitches. He was just barely missing or he was hitting for singles and doubles instead of home runs. And now you make a mistake, you're gonna pay for it. In defense of all ball players fellas mistakes are, what are usually hit for a home runs. Sure. You can dig one out or you know fight off. And give Ryan sambergen. I mean, no one was a better quote unquote mistake hitter than rhino lay went in there. You know throw a curve ball high up in the hanging there. They always tell you. I mean you may only get one or two pitches at each at bat. So, you know, sometimes you have to wait for those. That's why sometimes guy swinging the first pitch because it's one of the, you know, right where they're looking for it. And but the one thing is he's, he's not gonna miss it. You've heard how many times you hear announcer say, you know, he missed that one that he's not going to get better one. And that's when Mark just said, he's not missing the. I Hannibal ones, right? Most she marquee squaring them up because of the. Yeah. Whatever's don't keep doing it for cub fans. Mahnken Zala is with us. So the phrase, which is that I it on lineup batting order construction. So the fans of talking about the leadoff man and sometimes I do. And then sometimes I up you know, gun in my mouth. Okay now for that. But let's be honest Schwarzer yesterday. Four for six and base. Six plate appearances three watch the home run. I haven't fun in Philly. He's going to be there for a while. Right. Mark. I think you're you're up survey are accurate. Three three forty five on base percentage. That's only two points below the tune average. But then you look at the Ogden more only two eighty nine Jason Heyward, three thirty seven was over, of course, is on leave right now. And you don't wanna move Bryant out of that spot where he's at and even Harvey, as well. Never Joe used to put AVI lead off a couple of times against that excuse making Clayton Kershaw. So really right now you go with the guy who is getting on base with some sort of fishing sees drawing nine one since last six games. So like Joseph give it a test ride. But in the big picture Schwab is not supposed to be the guy that walks is drives the while he's been hitting a ball thrown his home runs in there. But his real value is not walking. Let's be honest, Mark correct. Correct. And I think this points to just the fact that, you know. You know, at at some point, you know, if Ben decided to retire, he might be the guy at the top of the order, who knows. But, you know, I think we're seeing now though I'm more a better hitter down, or than top, it just seemed like this lineup really really that its maximum output, when he's hitting, you know, six seven to eight because it really stretches out, Mark, let's stay more for a moment defensively. Now over the years, Fred. Murph. We've seen a lot of center. Fielders. There was a great one. I think you might have seen that today. Devaux white Devon Devon white five you're near when he had one or two year run year when he was really at the top of his game could go get that ball and center. Fred, even as a kid, the White Sox back berry best I ever seen, because I didn't know any better. Yeah. Jim landis. Mike her sprint. Not to say that Elmar is, you know, the best I've ever seen. But he's right now doing what you're near us to do. I think you're out in the west coast. You probably you remember diva white, correct. Yes. Yes, he was he was. Well, yeah. Steve Finley as well. Arguably, as far as the feet writer goes month arguably best center fielder at covered arguably not to compare. But how good this out Mara, I thought in a little centerfield slump at that's the word maybe a year ago. He was terrific as first year right now. You know what when the balls up in the air death to flying things as I used to say, right? Yeah. He's really shortening, the gaps as far as getting the balls in and the ones that you saw. He's catching now you can say, all guys gotta die for everything. But the fact is, he's gone all out and making us catches. He's getting good jumps on it. So you gotta give them a lot of credit union going back on balls. You guys pretty fearless Wrigley field with a brick wall and nothing seems to stop them. Now he's through to the wrong base late negate yesterday, none in first and second fly ball. He threw to the shortstop like towards third and everybody advanced. So I mean those things happen. But, you know. Those can hurt. Yeah. They can't. You know, I looked at that to, I'm thinking, if he throws the second the runner, make it anyway tough. Call. Okay, because you can throw a second in the runner decides of trees, and you still have the four visually the run I may freeze up even if he has the balls off line. But yeah, okay. He also doesn't weird thing the way he catches fly balls. He catches like every fly ball with his his arm bent, and he catches it about shoulder length like right near his face. It's kind of a weird way to catch the ball, but he gets there in time to catch everything that way. Mark kind of scary. The two days, but you're playing Wrigley, you better hope. The wind doesn't suddenly pick up rose. You might be catching up with your face. And doesn't bother me as long as like frenzy catches..
