"No, This is pretty much my commute to school and back. I'm not doing much off roading these days, so this is the same problem as the other tire, right? In the spare, which is not a Pirelli scorpion. Exactly. Despair was the best of the You know, got awful ball tires. The original four. So I didn't worry too much about that one. But they didn't see any similar markings on on the non Perelli tire. Um To be honest, I don't remember that part. I was kind of indignant. Um, but that could have blown for a different reason. It could happen. Yeah. Will you accept that where I would accept that. Two weeks later, the third tire went down also in the back. Also one of these tires that was a replacement for one of the tires that have gone down before, so it was only about a week and a half, two weeks old. Here's Here's the clues that I have is to this. The tire people think I'm crazy. They they think I just want were exciting with them to have done that same philosophy myself, But it's uh, In any case, it's always been in the back. And all the tires except this despair because I never got that one checked out. Have these, uh, these circular abrasions. It looks like somebody took a you know, like a drill with the buffer on it and kind of went around the tire. Are they circular or they the circle? Not complete The circle is not complete. Sure. What a question. Yeah. Great question, huh? Only you had a reason for asking it, Uh, It was one of the things I should. I should probably mention which I didn't want to. Or some such thing is causing something If you look, you will carefully you will see something if you take the tire off that the tire is hitting. It's the tires. Improper size that is causing the problem. I'm surprised that the tired guys, right, that's notice this. Well, I'll tell you why. Because they sold you these tires because they didn't have the right size. And they said, Because they do this all the time you're going to say Look, I want the 14 P 2 35, So we don't have those. We got p 289.5, but they'll fit And and it turns out that they often do, but sometimes they don't and if there's not much clearance allowed in the original design Then it's possible for the tired to come in contact with part of the suspension, uh or or part of the body, and that's scores away some of the rubber and eventually causes the Tired of fail. Unfortunately, they're going to have to give you for new tires. Well, the ones in the back and the front may be all right if you don't ever rotator, but I think you really want the four properly. So I would like them to be all the same. Yeah, and I did have a long conversation with the tire guys and assured me Oh, no problem We put these on. It's not going to be an issue. Well, interestingly don't thing that bothers me and I hesitated to bring this up. Yeah, I hesitated. And I have a question for you to But go ahead because we're not true with you, Ivan. I didn't think so is the unusual behavior of the spare. Well, let me describe the spare to you. The spare was on its last legs. I mean, I really should have probably about five tires. Banana eating for the resumption of sports high school high school sports. Amendment, but the school district's make the decision if they want to do it and let the parents make the decision if they want to do I think we can trust we can trust people to make these kinds of decisions for themselves s O. I found that state guidance is very thorough. And we are requiring all school district to abide by that state guidance. And then, of course, we'll do our spot checks, but we're not gonna overly complicate the state guidance. We're just going to say go with the state guidance will answer questions, of course, will do come and do spot checks to make sure everybody's doing it. But my point is school right now. Inside the school building is a very safe place for kids. Because school district have Re calibrated. They've changed the schedules. Everyone's in the map. Ask there's partition. They're doing it well. I think they can take those same kinds of practices and do it out in the field in the courts and the rings, so sports under supervision following the guidelines, I believe is very safe for kids. Right now. And kids need it. I mean, we're talking. I was talking to a shrink yesterday. He was telling me she and her colleagues are seeing. Yes, she and her colleagues were Are seeing more suicides, kids under 15 kids being isolated. They're not built to that. We're actually giving out grants to restaurants to help them make it to the other side of this pandemic because they really been struggling. But we're business friendly. I mean, you know, the thing is the governor now says he will allow some indoor dining here in New York City, but they've clamped down on those of us who live in the city. But, you know, if you live in Queens, and you can just jump go across the street to Nassau County, you can eat inside. And as you know, the way the restaurant people are trying to handle this thing they've They've done remarkable things to make you feel safe and comfortable. With a little limited capacity indoor dining. We should have it here in New York City. That's right. Because if you're a restaurant, you do not want to be the place where there's an outbreak. So you're going to do everything you can to protect your workers and to protect your customers. You don't want that on you, but you're gonna do it right? You know what if shouldn't they We've talked about Puerto Rico is well that Puerto Rico should be granted statehood Should the people Puerto Rico decide that's what they want. Washington D. C. This is one that's always gotten on my nerves because Washington D. C should absolutely be a state. There's no reason that it shouldn't be the people in Washington, D. C. Hey, the highest per capita federal income taxes in the United States, the highest per capita federal income taxes in the United States. But they have no say in how their tax dollars are spent. The thing that brings this to the four right now is what happened on January 6th. Because on January 6th when the Capitol was attacked, there was no authority local authority to call out the National Guard. Had that happened, say at the Civic Center in San Francisco. The governor of the state of California would have been able to call out the guard. The governor has that authority. There is no governor of the District of Columbia. There's a mayor, but the mayor doesn't have the same authority as the governor does. So the local people were not able to call out the guard to assist and instead it was a mess. You know, there are people who are testifying on Congress right now, but what a mess it Woz. There had been orders that had come down a couple of days before that before they call out the guard. They need to get authority from the top, So they had to go through the Pentagon. They had to go through the Defense Department higher ups in the Defense Department to get the authority to send the guard to help with the protection. Even though they had been told earlier. You know, we may need your assistance Can you be on standby? Well, there wasn't an official request made then by the capital police that would have alerted them to put them on standby because in order to put them on standby, they would have needed the official request in writing that would have been gone to the Pentagon. And then the Pentagon would have sent it back and would have said Okay, But since they didn't send the official request in writing, they couldn't do it verbally. And so it was just a mess. It was just an absolute best. That's the reason this is being considered today. But when you think about the District of Columbia when you think about the number of people in D C They have a population of what is it 700 some odd 1000 people, um, bigger population, by the way, then, uh, in Wyoming or Vermont. They have a larger population than Wyoming or Vermont. So you can't use the size of their population against them to say that there's no reason they should have statehood. They should have statehood. Now. The historical reason the D C. Doesn't have statehood is because they wanted the center of government not to be able to be claimed by any particular state to have a more independent status. So that's an argument that some people use the real argument today that's made largely by Republicans. Is that the people who live within the district are mostly Democrats, and that if D C became a state that would give Democrats more representation in Congress, not substantially but more representation in Congress. But what would be really key is the district would be entitled to have two senators in the Senate and the size of the Senate would increase to 102 members. So it's for political reasons because they believe that it would give Democrats an advantage that they shouldn't have. So there are 700,000 people Americans. Who are taxed without representation. And who really don't have any representation within the Congress. Shouldn't that change? Shouldn't the district of Columbia be granted state Hood? So there they have the actual status of being a state 80 88 tennis, the telephone number 80808 10. Wouldn't Puerto Rico be in the same situation, mostly Democratic voters. Same same idea for probably, Um, Yeah, probably they would you know, with Puerto Rico. It's weird, and I haven't really followed it the last several years. But for a long time, Puerto Rican wanted to hold on to the status that they currently have. They want to be a territory of the United States. But they didn't want to be a state. They wanted to have the greater independence that they had being a territory. In recent year and so they would do these, Um, what do you call it? When they vote on it? They put this on the ballot and people vote as told Papi Yeah, it's a way. No, the word Yeah, but that but if if they they would vote against it, you know, Ah, large segment of the population didn't want statehood so they would continuously vote against it. They didn't take the vote every single year, but historically a lot of times they said, No, we don't really want to be part of the U. S. A. I think that changed. I think that changed recently and I would have to look that up. But let's not muddy the waters with Puerto Rico right now. Instead, let's do talk about the District of Columbia. Shouldn't the District of Columbia be granted statehood status and if not Why not? Is there a legitimate reason to say no. You know, part of the reason that our forefathers, uh declared independence and then fought a war in order to ensure our independence from the tyranny of the king was self governance, and part of that was no taxation without representation. They want. They wanted the people who were part of the country who were taxed. They wanted all the people in the country to be participants in our governance will not entirely because of course, there were people who weren't allowed to vote like women and you know, slaves and Indians. But they did, but But the grand theory here was that you know, the people are governed, Um, because the people have given them permission to govern them that they, You know, it's the it's the consent of the governed. That's the reason they Congar Vern US. Washington D. C really doesn't have that they elected mayor. But they really don't have any representation representation in Congress and in the Senate.
