"At this point, at this point, it's a little bit easier, I think. I mean, you could stream it too. And just set up the Microsoft Edge browser. It's a work in the gaming mode. There's ways to do it. The way I've dealt with stuff like that is you just kind of wait two weeks and then someone figures it out in a real seamless way and you're like, oh, okay. That's settled now. I don't have to worry about it. That's what I do now with that type of stuff too. I'll go into YouTube type it, and then I'll just put upload date of like, okay, this guy figured it out in two minutes. Got it. Shouts out. And then Sega's reportedly asking players what it's next game console should be. So I got one of those Sega genesis mini twos. Mine just came last night. I'll be doing some stuff with that soon. We have a TikTok going up as soon as well. But apparently on the box, there is a QR code that will take you to a survey where they're asking, hey, what should we make? Next, there's one of these mini consoles, and they have a bunch of options. The SG 1000, the SG 3000, which I'd like to master system, Sega things, which, you know, basically like Atari's. Then there's master system, a Saturn, or they've already done mega drive. So genes is not an option in mega drive not an option. So then Saturn Dreamcast game gear or arcade or a third mega drive mini is actually on the list. So the police don't CD there. Well, because that's what's in the mega drive two, that's one of the things that has is about ten Sega CD games on it. It doesn't have Willy beamish, that's kind of a failure. What's the shark? It does have sewer shark. Do you have any other guesses? Do you have any other guesses? Because it's got night trap. I was going to say night trap and oh. Well, sonic CD CD is on there. It has final fight CD, the arcade version. That's pretty cool. That's all about that. It was an arcade faithful port. I had better sound. Yeah, it's usually what happens with a lot of those other ones. It's like, oh, and now we have a CD quality audio, and it's the same game. Yeah. Okay. You start. No, no, no, at least not. That would have been awesome. Stop saying CD. I can get tempted. I'm tempted to yell it. Every time y'all say dude. I was wondering why you were squirming. Jesus Christ, Dan, you need help. You need help. I do. There you go. Here's how I am. There we go. He's yelling at it and chat, everybody in case you're one. I felt it. I felt it. Everyone's doing ligma now. Yeah. There was one of those earlier and I didn't do it. And then someone said to me the other day, oh, you got mind goblin. And then Sega say gag on these nuts. Oh, that's a stretch. The Dreamcast, Dreamcast. Okay. Yeah. Do you Dreamcast? Do dreamcasts? Yeah, give me a little fishing controller too. That would be fantastic. With my Sega genesis mini two, I did get the cyber stick, which is a flight stick. It just works. Maybe just with afterburner two on there. But it's USB so I can unplug it in the PC and I'll play some real games with this thing. I never had, why would you get a flight stick with like your Super Nintendo or genesis back in the 90s? Unless you were some rich kid and then, hey, yeah, do we do whatever you got to do. But it's like, now that I'm older, yeah, sure, I'll make this poor financial decision acquiring this. I pre ordered it from Amazon, Japan, forgot about it, and then I saw a huge charge. I'm like, what the fuck is this? And I'm like, wait a second. I went through the memory banks. Like, oh, yeah, at the time, you, Jeff, you were super excited about it. Then it showed up in them. Comparatively, now Jeff grubb, you are the rich kid compared to who you were back then. Exactly. Absolutely. That is the problem, absolutely. I'm so kojima, he scanned someone else. Shio Lee could soon know. I can't say it. I can't say your name. I'm sorry. She's gonna be in one of his games coming up as soon as well. Good for him. Capturing yet another celebrity in his celebrity soul prison. It's funny whenever he announces new people. I'm convinced, like you said, he is somehow permanently digitized them. Like he has taken their soul and just their computer now. They are ones and zeros. It looks like I can do whatever you're with your digital body that I want. I own it now. Has he ever talked about whether or not he likes James Cameron's Avatar? Because I think he's pulling an avatar. Yeah. Eggs make it avatars of people. I don't know if he's ever talked about. I bet he does though. He's just collecting. I bet he does. Collecting celebrities. He's definitely, he's definitely another celebrity stone for the gauntlet. Yeah. Cool, man. He has the oddest collection of celebrities that he scanned. Norman Reed is still not sure where he is. It's just whatever TV show he's been watching. That's all it is. It's just like I watch a TV show and I'm gonna get that celebrity on the scan. I'm scanned Ted Danson hideo kojima, 'cause he got really into Becker. He got into Becker? He should. Oh, okay. I mean, do you think he bought that life size paddington doll because he wanted to scan paddington? Yeah. Definitely. I hope he gets into. What's the show. Niles and Frasier Frasier. It's just called Frasier. Yeah, get in the Fraser and give us Niles and Frasier, a forever and ever. That's what I need. Oh, kojima, I really need to Frasier, would you hear? Isn't that weird? Kojima really into Frasier is a very funny just sitting to say. I would like that a lot. Jan, I have no more news and I kind of need you to take this show over once again. We got to get away from all these segas and ligaments. And both were both D's. Well, we'll say them loudly into microphones, and they won't be recorded as we fade to black to take another quick break. And then after that break, we'll come back. We'll read some emails, perhaps some questions from the live. I got to go wipe a butt. Tell us about tubs. You've had to wipe a butt. Set a quick email to bob gets a job bob dot com and then Jeff back large F grub, and myself will be back to answer those questions. You'll see it a bit. This show is brought to you by better help. This ever happened to you where you're going good and your coasting, but then there's an unexpected speed

"Say. Oh my God, he's coming out of his shirt. No, it's crazy. Okay, here you go. There are negotiations between the people that run pickleball to put the title game on, ESPN classic. They're typically righteous. Thank you very much. Two drink minimum. I could see the glasses. I can see fritzie came to me. I got so excited. Please let me say this. I actually emailed it to you. He emailed it. I was looking for a little wink and a nod for me to say, yeah, no, no, as soon as you sent it, and then I was like, oh, how corny is this? ESPN blasting. Pickleball title. Okay with that. Thank you, Tom. That's good. Well done. Let's go. Feel good about that one. All right. Frasier, in Virginia. Good morning. What's on your mind? I've got a bad connection there. Frasier, let me see. How's it now? All right, hold on. Can you hear me now? Yeah, I can. Okay. All right. Since on your award, you know, when I was in my 30s, I was on the radio. And I tried to pretend to be like you with my own flavor. So I've always been following you and I really appreciate you. Well, thank you for sure. Yeah, yeah. So first and foremost, when I was 9 years old, my parents split up in Virginia and my dad moved to Houston. So I grew up going to Houston games. Euler's Texans and Astros. And I've been watching the Astros since I was a little boy. And I was really excited when they won the World Series. And then I was just kind of like, did they really cheat? And I and then I know fritzi is a big fan. And fritzi, I've got the asterisk gear. I love them so much. I think you're going to beat the Yankees. I really do. I know they're much better than them. And my son tells me, you know, dad, they're cheaters. And I really, I mean, they've been to the World Series a bunch in the past few years. And I think they're a really damn good team. Well, they always goes back to then, why did they cheat? If they were good enough, then why would you risk it? You know, bonds had all of the talent in the world. But he didn't like that McGuire and so were the face of the game. It's like, all right. want to see what I can do?

"Not part of that filmmaking process. And by the way, to be fair, literally everyone and kill Bill is hyper violent. Has she even seen that movie? She goes on to detail the lines and during popularity, the fact that it was referenced in the hit song by two live crew, as well as in shells like South Park and films like the 40 year old virgin cheese this one is doing all she can to get into the good graces of everyone. She knows her popularity and importance is fading so fast. Let me just say this. Look, sensibilities have already changed since those movies remain. Why is she referencing films from so long ago? That means he's preaching to the choir now. Her choices are very dated because stereotypes of Asian women persist even though even though even though you see movies today that the house of the dragon and Lovecraft Country are reaching examples, she could also go ahead and check out the two dimensional character of yukio and Deadpool two for a contemporary example of how Asians are now being portrayed. She's going too far back. But my God, it must be so exhausting. Going through life constantly looking for things to be offended about, especially to be offended about on other people's behalf. Get a life, here's a bit of good news for you, TV watchers, the long in the works, Frasier reboot is finally gonna go.

"Here's a bit of good news for you, TV watchers, the long in the works, Frasier reboot is finally gonna go. has given a series green light to the multi camera comedy. Kelsey grammar will executive produce. Reprising his signature character, the psychiatrist turned radio announcer Frasier crane. I met Kelsey Grammer at a party that downtown Julie Brown through around 5 years ago, maybe? And we got to talking. I had met him once before, and I asked, hey, what's up, you know? I don't know why, you know, guys like him who made fortunes on TV shows that went at this indication. Don't really ever have to work anymore. I mean, Kelsey was paid one and a half $1 million per episode. For 24 episodes at the end, the final two seasons of Frasier. Not to mention that the syndication money for cheers and Frasier. Oh my God. But in Hollywood, everyone says, what are you working on before you ever hear? Hey, how you doing? It's always what you're working on. So back then, he was telling me he was trying to get Fraser back on the air. And, you know, you hear these things and you forget about them because that's all people talk about in Hollywood and Hollywood parties, what they want in the air, the meetings they took. All that kind of crap. But I kind of forgot about it, but here we are. He kept working on it, kept taking meetings, kept producing things, pushing things, and it's a go.

How Stallone Created Rocky Balboa

"Way back in the early 70s. Stallone was an unknown actor trying to make it in New York, he had some minor success, even though soft porn movie, but he answered minus his actions in a movie called the lords of flatbush, fun movie, right? He was still broke. It didn't make big money. He wasn't paid a lot of money for that. And after the launch of flatbush, he figured it was time to maybe give it a shot in California. So he moves out there, and things were not going well for him out there at all, either. I mean, things got so bleak that he actually had to go out and sell his dog because it was either that or the poor thing wasn't going to eat. So one night he goes to see Muhammad Ali fight chuck wet. Chuck Webb got big old white fighter who was known as the Bayonne bleeder. Bayonne is a city in New Jersey, tuft city, the Bayonne bleeder on account of how a lot of fighters opened his face up and he bleed through a lot of his flights. He was that kind of guy with there's some fun in boxing. You hit him and they bleed. You know, a lot of scar tissue, what have you, but so he's watching shop raptor Muhammad Ali go at it? And he really saw something very extraordinary. He sees the Bayonne bleeder. He sees chuck wepner fight the greatest fighter who ever lived. And for one brief moment, this supposed stiff turned out to be extraordinary. Not only did he last the 15 rounds with Ali, but he not the champ down. I was a kid, you didn't see Muhammad go down much. I mean, there was a couple of the bigger fights or Frasier and stuff like that. But he didn't go down mom, especially not to an old stumble bump like chuck Webber. Stallone sees this and he thinks, you know what? This is a metaphor for life. And you can see where this is going and where the character rocky came from as a matter of fact. Years later, Trump wepner who went on to be a liquor and beer salesman sued Sylvester Sloan because he said, look, he took my life and made it into the smash movie. I want to be compensated. And they fought their lawyers for it. And finally, they would finally there was a settlement.

"Getting thrown into the deeper and having never really had work before. Oh, absolutely. I never watched a sitcom before. I did not find myself to be very funny. At all. I mean, I really really wish I was really kind of the comedic relief in this show. Yeah, I guess so I kind of became that, which totally caught me off guard. And but you know, I got upset, I get kind of obsessive compulsive when I'm working, and every night, after working, I would sit and watch reruns of sitcoms. Oh, yeah. After a show to rewind. Other shows. Other sitcoms studying them. What are some ones that were helpful? Well, you know, Frasier Friends. The really standard one, so nothing exciting necessarily, but I just wanted to study their body movements. And so I just could never get out of this quote unquote zone. And I didn't realize that being in a sitcom, it would be as intense as it was. The experience. Tell people, I mean, you guys work hard. Oh yeah, I mean, I was totally, yes, very caught off guard, but totally committed to kicking butt. And giving it my all and but we had a we had a ball caps for the first season because our characters shave their heads. Right. And that was really, really, with that kind of schedule, there's just no way that you can do that properly. And so we would have to come in four hours in advance. You have rehearsals all the way throughout the week, leading up to Thursday, Friday, or whatever the schedule is. And then Thursday you do, you shoot the things that you're not going to shoot in front of the live audience. And then the next day you do the full live show. So it was basically theater through a degree. It's the closest I've gotten to theater..

"An oath. Milk brea cafe nervosa the seer docket shale nri or. Maybe just some cornish game hens prepared by daffy with frazier special sauce of course as you may have gathered. Yes frazier is my all time favorite sitcom when i was probably only about ten years old. I asked my parents a question. I'll always remember asking mom. Why are the characters on the show. British and after my parents broke the news to me that they weren't british. They're just rich. The show began to click for me a little bit more. It wasn't until a slower winter in northern michigan. That i really started watching it. Intently lifetime played two episodes per night from ten pm till about eleven pm. And i recorded the entire series by winter's end and nowadays it's been. My wife is favourite. Show to fall asleep two without hesitation. It's been our weeknight winedown. Our sunday security blanket and a constant for us during a lot of times when things felt all. But the my affinity for the show whether you find it just or not has pigeonholed me with friends and podcast followers alike. It's some if something frazier related happens normally sent messages in. Dm's insuring it doesn't slip by me just this past week. Article was published by vice. Titled frazier bane. Is the new ninety day courtroom based on the show. Frazier the first thing that came to my head were decor trend. Nineties nostalgia frazier. it soon. Became evident that. I couldn't avoid this news and it was my duty to take it head on the offer author admits that it. This isn't an aesthetic or trend. That he came up with himself. He said and i quote that he came across the arc of a work of the consumer aesthetics research institute cri which is a collective association of designers and researchers who categorize consumer aesthetics from the late mid-century and is basically building out a new free taxonomy for these micro movements or is i'll just refer to it. This is essentially just a wikipedia buffer vibes when i of fraser's apartment. I think of a few trademark things. His black eames chair that he rarely sits in his geometrically designed fireplace. And of course the outlier marty's beat up recliner but those attributes aside. There's something consistent about the entire branding of the show whether it's intentional or not. The beige the gaudy furniture. The style that is so 'nineties that i can't possibly that they can't possibly come back into style because it would simply seem over the top. Let's visit evan collins. Explanation for the aesthetic. He himself defined. He was the one who came up with this for the wikipedia for five that i i coined it earlier. He said frazier bain titled from the nineteen nineties. Tv show frazier draws from the breakthroughs made by the nineteen ninety s grunge movement but filtered through the lens of a more conservative in aging baby boomer population. That was settling down becoming more wealthy and more suburban. Sarah fonts bound accentuated with underlining attallah's -ation and various weights these are usually coupled with warm sepia or black and white images of timeless classical representations of basic concepts sometimes in surrealist manner often and soft focus and featuring heavily stage product photography. That's a lot to take in. I i will not say that. I understand everything that he said. But let's look at the current state of the sunday. scariest brand. Is this relates this. The imagery on the on the instagram page the beige and hunter green in the logo. The sarah floated gehrmann typeface. That's littered over every single thing that i put out to even pretend like frazier or really that entire era didn't significantly affect my tastes and direction for my own personal creative outlet. It would be disingenuous. I would even venture to guess that my affinity for five inches team. Shorts isn't just because of my short legs. But because frazier crane has a unbelievable squash outfit. I rent reference this recently but when it comes to cyclical fashion. I always think back to my dad. He's worn the same. Aviator sunglasses for as long as i can remember. It's not just aviators. In general he's literally ward the same pair for as literally as long as i can remember in his reasoning. He told me because they'll always come back into style at some point. So in these trends or aesthetics as the kids call them begin to pop up. It invokes a myriad of emotions in me. There's excitement the happiness. That i get to relive things that i love for what feels like the first time again. But then there's sadness sadness that the things i love will now be seen everywhere kind of like when a band that you are early on. It's big and you hear them everywhere. After the fact but then there's the nostalgia something that's been a running theme. That's something that. I just can't escape lately. It tastes so good that i find myself going back for more. So whether it's bistro vibes from last week's episode or frazier bane. I think we can all agree that sometimes memory lane is a road worth driving. Even if you can't afford to do it in frazier's mercedes benz e fifty five. Am gs dan. If you liked what you heard today make sure to subscribe review or tell a friend in need about this podcast. "There are few trademarks of any adults life. Moving out of your parents house getting your first grownup job or having all matching flatware and your kitchen but as it goes with anything there are certain benchmarks that you hit that. Make you work even harder. That make you prove your worth and test your patience and i'm not talking about having kids here in fact i'm talking about the other thing. That's so difficult to raise so scary to keep alive and always in the back of your mind when you're doing other tasks yes of course. I'm talking about houseplants. My long storied. History with fiddly figs would lead listeners to believe that i do not have much of a green thumb it unfortunately that assumption is one hundred percent correct. My relationship with house plants is rock you than any other relationship i've ever had in my life including my eighth grade girlfriend who dumped me via msn messenger. The watering the plant food. The ups the downs. This my friends is the five stages of house plants are. I is excitement. Maybe went to home depot and hung over sunday or perhaps you order it from a millennial blended direct millennial branded direct-to-consumer accompany online or maybe just went to a nursery and talk to a professional about what's right for your parliament but either way you're now the proud owner of a brand new house plan. Congratulations could be a snake plant. A- ponytail palm. Maybe even a piece lily. The world is your oyster. And now you haven't large green plan to show for it. Oh the possibilities. Maybe it could be placed in the master bedroom next to the dresser. A coffee table in the living room to bring everything to life because a second enters your place. You know that it's only going to make you crave buying another and another and another until your apartment. Looks like a greenhouse taken that breath of fresh air because you're officially the proud owner of the house plan. the next stage is more confusion. Okay where did that taegu the head. All the watering instructions on it. I know i put it somewhere. But maybe i threw it out when i got rid of everything else that came with it. I know i know. I can just google to take care of it When i look it up on google says it requires sunlight but not direct sunday for a stay sustained amount of hours. Water is needed or whenever the soil feels dry. Avoid direct sunlight and temperatures over ninety degrees. Do not over water not pet friendly. I mean this list goes on great. Not only did. I just purchase a plant that both needs water but not too much water but if my dog eats it shall fall over immediately. Perfect maybe the appropriate plan of action is simply put it next to the window over here. That gets a few hours of sunlight in the morning. That should do the trick right. Well that's when the hesitation sinks in all right. It's been three days. Not only is it shedding. But i can't tell if the soil is dry moisture somewhere in between does it need water. Doesn't need more sunlight. Do i need to put it outside in case it's too cold in my air conditioned apartment. The last thing i want to do is over water this thing but i also don't want it to be partially i am after a night of drinking endless. Vodka sodas is at this point that you compromise. Maybe a little water. Maybe a little repositioning and definitely a lot of overthinking. When it comes to what's going on next worst case scenario is that it dries out and you have to bring it back to life or waged. I over water it now and hopes that a strange itself out over the next few days or should i go back to the nursery and buy another one. Do some ab testing with how to keep my new phone foliage alive. It's all of this. That leads to the point of desperation. You plop down on your couch. You have your laptop open ready to go. Full charles darwin on this thing it sits there looking out the window wondering what it would be like if it never had become a house plant in the first place. Would it thrive in the wild. It would get eaten by a stray cat looking for anything to eat the edges. The leaves are beginning to look a little birds out when you water it. The water comes dripping out the bottom causing an absolute mess. And in fact you can't even remember what day last watered it because they've all run together at this point. You wonder if you should have even bought it in the first place. Are you responsible enough to even be a house plan owner at this point you wonder or should you have stuck with fake plants that you got from bed bath and beyond your senior year in college damn it. Why didn't you just get a succulent. You pretty much have to be a cold blooded killer to let one of those things die as you look at your plant with dismay you realize that you simply aren't cut out for keeping it alive at this point not only that but you consider all possibilities over watering a to ensure it doesn't dry out throwing it directly into the apartment complex dumpster for heaven forbid talking your tail between your legs and calling your parents for advice but then we finally reached the final stage abandonment. What is life at this point. Does life have to be long lived. In order to be a good life was the worst day of this plant life when my hungover south walked up to it in decided that it was the one will my neighbors judge me if they see me. Get getting rid of this plan just ten days after i brought it home questions began to arise not just about what to do at the plant. But about whether or not you're fit to be in charge of the literally anything at this point. You know what you ask yourself. I'm just gonna let nature run. Its course for the next few days you go about your life with that damn plant never even entered it. Sure it'll dry out and pablo probably die that lease it will be off my conscience. Once she's gone a happy hour hear museum trip there a night out where you don't remember coming home that well if this were anything living but a plant your neighbors may call the authorities about the neglect that you're showing but that following sunday as the sun flows into your bedroom directly onto that mexican fortune tree you notice something. "I found i worked a lot with women and we were doing inner child healing. So i don't know if you're familiar with the young living in her child blend. Yes they love it. Oh my goodness so that was just like one of the first blends outside of the starter kit that i started experimenting with and using and sessions help heal inner child wounds and my clients were just well. I i did it for myself. Which was amazing because it was just bringing up things but in a very safe and supportive way way way Because amount of therapist on a psychiatrist. So i don't address lake. Inner child healing trauma healing experiences in that way so wanted to make sure it was very safe in gentle and supportive and these oils just like combined with the ricky it was a really magical combination and my client just having incredible experiences like healing from things that had been long standing for many years i had one client who had came to me and she was diagnosed with breast cancer and obviously it was a very difficult time in her life. And we were doing reiki sessions with ben as i incorporated the oils and we cannot the The healing to her inner child and used the inner child oil in the sessions She was releasing old stored emotions that she realized connected like the underlying root cause that could have potentially led to or contributed to her eventually developing the breast cancer. She ended up Having a mastectomy but through the healings soup support the walls and the braking energy she went into remission and she's far as i know i still stay in touch her. It's been probably close to eight to nine years. She's cancer free. So that was probably one of the most memorable Sessions for me. Yeah that sounds really powerful to release those toxic emotions before that sort of surgery or event I truly believe can have physical implications and physical results as well does raking shocker. Always go hand in hand Not not necessarily. You can do shocker. Healing without doing reiki And you can do ricky without necessarily focusing on shockers. But i think together. They're they're both very supportive. Like the ring in the oils supports. The balancing of the shockers will before we dive too deep into. What is the shocker activation method for those completely unfamiliar with that term. And have no idea what we're talking about. How would you explain what shockers are. And why they're so important to have an understanding of and he'll yes so our physical body. We are so much more than physical body. Our bodies surrounded by this energy fields and extends out in front of us and above and below us in. Its our information center. So we have the subtle energy body Part of it is called the aura and within that we have energy centers called the shockers and so we are constantly communicating with everything around us in our world through this field of subtle energy. So we're giving or receiving energy all the time whether you realize it or not whether you know that you shockers are not. We are actually giving off these messages in these shockers because they contain all the positive and all the negative energy experiences that we've had and so yes. There's there's a lot of information out there. Live information it on the internet and books written about the shockers and how to balance them but over the years. I've learned you know there's a real difference between just reading about the shockers and experiencing them so with my clients and the methods developed to me. It's really about getting to know our shockers on a personal level in how they impact our daily life our experiences. So that's what i like to help. People do is use the shockers to feel empowered and identify where you have imbalances in your shockers. And then use some systematic steps to clear. He'll and activate latent energy so for someone. That's you know thinking. How can i use this information at home. How can i use this information and incorporate it with my central oils. Like how do we even know where to start. How do i know which shockers are out of balance yet. So so in the book. I included on ways to identify. You know you're shocker. imbalances. I i have a quiz for every one of the shockers with twenty questions for each For each shaqra. So you can decide. i i say estimate if you answer. Yes between six to one of the questions. Then you know it's moderately imbalanced if you answer yes to eleven or more is probably a sign that you're shockers imbalanced and i also Charts of characteristics like if they're balanced or imbalanced for example the root shockers the first shaqra. And when you root chakra is balanced you feel very safe and secure and like you belong in. You have a lot of taliban energy and you feel very grounded. And if it's imbalanced you always like feel this anxiousness like threatened. You don't feel safe marysville feel like you're left out of things you don't have energy feel kind of like rundown or exhausted all the time chronic worries so those are just some examples so there's characteristics you could just go by for each of the shockers like just look at the areas that correspond to your life rate and then i also teach more advanced techniques like how to use a pendulum and guided meditations to really do some deeper exploration of the health of your shockers is just getting started. I mean there's so many ways You know information out there about the shockers so just being aware that you have these energy centers first of all and not being afraid If they are imbalanced always tell people like most of us and most of my clients have somewhere around. Four shockers imbalanced at any one time. So it's not a bad thing if they are we can just use them to learn and to grow. Yeah yeah it's to have that. Self awareness can be really healing itself. But back to the the route shocker extreme example for a second you what essential oil might you recommend for someone..

"Oils into your energy healing work in a moment but first allow me to share my favorite oils of the last week in this episode. You'll hear us talk a little bit about absence. Salt bass in essential oils as well as essential oils for the route shock route. One of which being vetiver oil. So i took myself a little vetiver. Essential oil an epson bath last night and it was Yum me soothing. Relief axing an grounding. Which is exactly what. I needed to take an epsom. Salt bath with essential oils. The best way to do this is to get a bowl. Poor about a cup of epsom salts into it and then drop your desired amount of essential oils into that salt in the bowl and mix it up. I'd like to us about four drops for a bath. But you can make it stronger or weaker just depending on what your preference is mixed that up in the bull get into your very warm bath and then dump the salt into the bath when you're in it so that you can mix it up and get the most out of that initial hit of the essential oils into that hot water. It is also relaxing and beautiful. I recommend doing an absence bath with essential oils every night. If you can to get a great night's sleep is just one of those little self care things you can do every day to remind yourself that you are worth it and now let's pull recipe out of our diy dugout. Then fill to the top with rose. Hip seed oil apply daily to face after cleansing and before application of any other moisturizers etc. Trina says for those of us. That were children in the seventies when nobody knew what sunscreen was much less bothered to put it on. This is a great help to offset those pesky spots that appear from sun damage done in years gone by enjoy. Thank you so much for this. Awesome recipe trina. You rock if you have your own original. NBCUniversal Wades Into Streaming Wars With Peacock

"There is yet entrant in the streaming worse. NBC universals Contender Peacock lunches today with a host of classic shows like Frasier and cheers. NBC Is Hoping Peacock will stand out as a low cost option with tears of content at different prices, including a free version with commercials of course, but our reporter Joe Flint says that even from day one peacock faces an uphill battle, the big challenge really for them right now is. It's a very crowded marketplace. They are coming in late to it. I think even their own top executives would acknowledge that they've been. been a little late to the streaming game. That doesn't necessarily mean they're doomed. Of course, if the analogy they used, and it's an accurate one. If you look at the cable news world when Fox News debuted, they were late behind MSNBC, and CNN and the general consensus was. They won't make a mark. Obviously, we've seen that's not the case what their their hope was to use the wind. Sorry the Summer Olympics. Promotional, platform so. They kind of lost the billboard that they were planning on. And they're going to launch with less of the original programming. They were hoping to debut with the Hollywood shutdown of production. Due to the corona virus is basically put a lot of projects in limbo for now. That's not just them of course. Disney plus. Hbo Max. Even even that flakes, no one's producing right now, but if you're a new service and you only have a handful of new shows that also may make it tougher to get people to come sample you

"What would be opening a Frasier been like without the graphics synonymous with Seattle without the space needle would we have looked like Seattle the answer apparently not the survey from big brands dot com asked Americans to identify cities without their most notable landmark in other words they took the needle out of our Seattle skyline if you live around here perhaps you'd still be able to determine that a needless silhouette of Seattle was still Seattle but through the rest of the world we apparently lookalikes four major cities Seattle had the least recognizable skyline and most respondents said we look more like the windy city then the Emerald City to add insult to injury the silhouette of Chicago without the former Sears tower was still identified as Chicago fortunately the space needle he is still there and as the evidence now more than ever clearly suggests the landmark is the signature of our skyline which is a good thing because we can't always count on the blue sky

Vanished: Kelsey Berreth

"It was Kelsey. Mom Cheryl contacted the police to report. Kelsey missing MRS on December. Second two thousand Eighteen Cheryl hadn't spoken to. Her daughter are in over a week. Kelsey infant daughter Kayleigh had been in the custody of her father and Kelsey Fiance Patrick swayze since Thanksgiving giving day and I wasn't like Kelsey to be out of touch without explanation right so right away alarm bells were ringing. Yeah this just isn't the Kelsey now. Oh very responsible. Smart Young Woman and Kelsey actually grew up on a farm in Washington state. She had a younger brother Clinton and loved. Horses is and she always had dreams of becoming a commercial pilot according to her mother and she she went to aviation school in Washington and then began working professionally as a flight instructor. So I'm very impressed by that. Yes pretty cool and everybody can do that in two thousand sixteen. She met Patrick swayze in on an online dating site. Type of thing yeah. She moved to Colorado to be near him so things heated up pretty quickly. Yes she really liked. Kim She thought he was a keeper and he could be the one group her list. She was well enough into him that she made a big move right. Yeah that shows something doesn't it. I mean and you have to be fairly committed to do that when we think frazee worked and lived on his mother's ranch where he trained cattle dogs and he also worked safari her. Now for those of you. Who Don't know like me? A farrier is a specialist in equine hoof care includes the trimming and balancing of horses hooves. WHO's and putting shoes on their hooves? Right and NASHES horses. I guess donkeys as well. He had a friend with donkey's who he is to take care of. Their hooves chargers officer who Friday I think so. So Kelsey worked. As a flight instructor at Falcon Air Force Base before she accepted the position. DOSS aviation Russian in Pueblo Colorado. Her boss Daas said that Kelsey was diligent and committed she commuted from her condo in Woodland Park to her job in Pueblo. Blow several days a week. People who flew with her remembered her as a very positive force in their lives and a someone that they could really trust when her students graduated graduated. They left some glowing reviews of her large knowledge base and her very helpful teaching techniques so she was really well regarded there so it seems and she had moved into her own condo in the town of Woodland Park and that's not far from phrase's ranch. The two became engaged and they had a baby girl in the fall of two thousand seventeen. They named her Kaley crazy. Seemed happy to be a father and seemed to take good care of Keighley but calcium calcium. Patrick didn't live together however in Kelsey family felt the relationship was a good one. The parents shared custody making plans to be together as a family. We at some point right so I kind of see right from the beginning here. A lack of commitment on his part that they weren't living together after they had a baby. Seems a little little strange to me. Yeah if you're co-parenting and you're engaged to be married. Why wouldn't you live together right? So that's just kind of a red flag that I noticed noticed right away and the beginning of this story. You're was it more. His decision not live together. Well we don't know you know. Her mother had said it was financial. He'll things which I think it was mostly him because he was the one who had financial problems which will get into. But let's go ahead and talk a little bit about the missing missing persons report and what I happened. Okay so the first police officer who showed up to do a welfare check on Kelsey was Corporal Beth Huber and Ed after entering information into the local and national databases. She contacted Patrick swayze so right away. They're going to contact the fiance well. Of course frizzy claimed that the last time he had seen Kelsey was Thanksgiving Day. That was November. Twenty second when they had exchanged custody of Keighley in the alley behind Chelsea's condo a frizzy said their romantic relationship was over during the the custody exchange. She returned items that belonged to Kelsey this included her handgun. Somehow Munition Car Keys House keys and some other personal items right so so custody. Exchange in the alley is another weird thing here. Yeah and also saying that their relationship was over nobody else knew of that UH and there was no evidence to show that and will notice that when we look at their conversations around this time Chelsea's family reported to police that it was highly unusual for her her to go away without telling anyone her mom Cheryl had spoken to Kelsey twice on the phone on November twenty second and two her Kelsey seemed like her normal. Happy yourself she talked excitedly about the upcoming Christmas holiday with Kaley. What kind of presence? They would have for stuff like that then after talking to her mom Kelsey Chelsea went shopping with Kaley. She was caught on video surveillance at a Safeway store and Woodland Park and she entered the store at twelve. Oh five everything looks. It's normal and exited the Safeway at twelve twenty seven pm and this would also be verified by receipts from the store so after leaving the store door Kelsey sent frasier text and she offered to make him a sweet potato casserole. That doesn't really sound like someone who's broken up. Her sure doesn't sounds like a good relationship. Yeah at least one that she's you know invested in for sure right then between twelve fifty four and when seventeen eighteen that same day frazee was captured on a Walmart surveillance camera at the Woodland Park Walmart. He had a baby carrier with a blanket that looked like the blankets. Seen with Kelsey and Kaley at the Safeway Okay we couldn't be seen but it's probable issues with frizzy because he had the carrier. Sure I think that's a pretty safe assumption. But Kelsey wasn't seen again after Thanksgiving Day even though her cellphone continued to send messages on November. Twenty four th Cheryl got a text from Chelsea's phone saying that she would call her later but then Kelsey never called her. The next day there was a text from Chelsea's phone to her supervisor at doss aviation it said she was planning to take a trip and would be away for a week. There were also messages to Patrick. swayze eight on the twenty four th at four. PM FRAC- sent a text to calcium phone. Saying if this is truly what you want respect your wishes and give you space the leave you alone now. Then the next day there was a text from Chelsea's phone to phrase's phone saying do you even love me. And he answered that text swith. Why would I bend over backwards and stand by you through everything if I didn't so the answer to your question is yes I do so so after about a week of not hearing from her daughter Cheryl Berith called free just to see you know what's going on? Frasier told Cheryl that he and Kelsey Elsie had an argument in calcium. Broken up with him and giving Kaley to him he suggested to share Kelsey may have flown somewhere with a CO worker. But Kelsey hadn't told Cheryl better trip or breaking up with Razi so mom Cheryl is getting more and more concerned and that's when she called the voice so at the welfare check of Chelsea's Condo. Her keys in purse were gone but both of her cars were parked outside. They didn't find any signs of foul. Oh play on this visit but her makeup in toothbrush. Were still in the bathroom and there were some mostly uneaten cinnamon rolls sitting on the stove. There was also also a candle on a warmer nearby in the heat was up higher than usual so these are all very strange things. She wouldn't leave for a trip without her makeup makeup in her toothbrush. Leaving food on the counter were turning the thermostat down right so by this time ten days had passed since Kelsey she had last been seen. Remember Cheryl got a text from Kelsey but we don't believe that that last one was from Kelsey because she was already missing right. Your impression is that it's doctored. Kind of thing. Yeah just to throw people off right and even Cheryl would say that. The texting wasn't like her daughters texting. So there were some red flags right away on the whole thing. There was a press conference held on December four and the case was still being treated as. There's a missing persons case. Police announced that Kelsey phone had pinged on a tower in gooding Idaho on November twenty fifth. This was a long way from aware. CALC- lived I think it was eight hundred. Two thousand miles so Cheryl spoke about her daughter being a reliable person and she asked for help in locating eating her but notably. Patrick Frasier did not attend this press conference and of course everybody noticed that

Impeachment Report Reveals Unexpected Calls Between Giuliani, Office of Management and Budget

"You today impeachment hearings on the hill of the Judiciary Committee takes over a couple of experts on constitutional law expected to testify let's get into it with Susan for each year of the sheep compressional correspond to the Washington examiner Susan good morning good morning okay so what's the point of this hearing well the point is for Democrats to bring in some experts who will support their view that there are constitutional grounds for impeaching president trump and this is also a hearing in which they can say they gave the Republicans who are the minority in the house an opportunity to present their case earlier they invited the president or his lawyers to come and testify in and the president declined but the Republicans have invited one witness to this hearing so you basically have it for constitutional law experts three picked by the Democrats want picked by the Republicans in Estes give kind of a two fold Ariel for the Democrats to talk about here are experts saying we're doing the right thing and also here with our our here where the Republicans given an opportunity to participate which they've been complaining about all these weeks is it possible that the Republicans could possibly take this in a different direction since they have constitutional law experts in front of them that they could ask about the constitutionality of Adam Schiff and company getting the phone records of painting the phone records of the president's personal counsel Rudy Giuliani as well as Devin newness and John Solomon yeah I'm curious about this yesterday's surprising news into this thing offense somewhat vague Dan and predictable as we will go along with that were the rat was the revelation that Adam Schiff of who is the Democrats who runs the intelligence committee he obtained phone records that they included in the impeachment report that the intelligence committee released to the public yesterday those records included calls between Rudy Giuliani prince personal lawyer and the White House and between Devin newness who is the ranking member on the house intelligence committee the top Republican and Rudy Giuliani as well as last harness who was the associate a Rudy Giuliani who is now under indictment for funneling foreign money into U. S. campaign so all there were a whole bunch of calls revealed in obtain from eighteen T. and included in this report and that was the big surprising thing a lot of people on the Republican side are outraged by this so I don't rule out them bringing it up at the hearing I don't know what the questions are going to be out but certainly there a lawmakers talking about yesterday you heard that minority leader he was asked about noon as talking to Giuliani talking departed and he said that he really didn't have any problem with with that with newness talked to I spoke to people on noon at the staff who said if you look at these call some of them or like a few seconds long they they probably didn't go through and there was maybe one call that was a few minutes and that newness talks to a lot of people and that anyone a lot of the leaders on the intelligence committee take all kinds of call to talk to a lot of people they say really kind of proves nothing but it just showed to them what level Adam Schiff is willing to go to to try and make their impeachment case and try to make the Republicans look bad that's the reason the viewpoint from from the Republicans on that Susan this is a gigantic story that Devon Nunez obtain the phone records for the president's personal attorney a sitting journalist and a member of his own commit a Devon noon as it is a huge story as not being treated that way by the press a large you are treating it like a big story can you tell me don't know if any of the people involved here were notified that their phone records were being sought not that I can tell and it was obtained from eighteen to you is not attained by people on the call so it raises all kinds of questions I think there are a lot of people were surprised to see it the problem is John Solomon is being painted as kind of like a co conspirator it's very strange instead of just reporter try to record on an angle nobody else is writing about which is the Ukraine angle it seems like most the media got behind this idea that that meant that that a D. bond story line the Russian if somehow participating in perpetuating it along with Republicans who according to Democrats are pushing this you crying saying in a way to go after their political opponents the Democrats see that's the way it's being framed right by the Democrats instead of you know the media look well Susan a alright yeah if if being fed mis information by a foreign government disqualifies you as a journalist the entire Washington press corps should hang up their credentials today given the way that the Russian collusion conspiracy was treated for years I mean I I wouldn't I haven't seen anything to suggest that Solomon should be thrown out entirely as a journalist and I don't think anybody's made that case successfully well we always point out you know you can make this take whatever you talk to dot com is that everything you reported it backed up and documented in that you go and look at it yourself right this is all true there and no one is disputing some of the things that we know that that there was contact between the Democrats new Ukraine government to dig up dirt on on truck there no one's disputing that I think what the damn word what Democrats are trying to do and I think kind of affected in doing it is make it sort of like if you if you believe anything about Ukraine meddling in the election you are therefore are declaring Russia did nothing wrong it's a strange argument they're making and and it's one that I think is proven effective because it's being manic and and echoed by the mainstream media very very powerfully I'm I'm very curious as to how they could get the the the how they could get a subpoena to get the phone records of the president's personal lawyer because you do have the right to attorney client privilege and on wiki how I just want to wiki how to how to get a subpoena and one of its step six do not subpoena privileged communications so how do they get the subpoena if even wiki house says he can't do that yes well they got the call between Giuliani and the office of management and budget they didn't get I don't see that they got any calls between Giuliani and the president himself I'm not sure that some of those calls it's not clear who's who's on the other end of those calls and if it does raise a lot of questions like I said it was a big surprise yesterday when goes call surface I know there is our cases were Verizon and eighteen eighteen other phone companies they do turn over things subpoenaed by the government and I'm not sure what president this is going to set it it's because it's such a partisan impeachment proceeding on Capitol Hill I think get everyone to the knowledge of some credibly partisan that that this kind of rocky rocky is about up quite a bit and I think that that's that's not going to bode well for especially the intelligence committee for the two sides to work together when you have the chairman obtaining phone records of the ranking member that's that's a really that's that's you reaching a new level of of of partisanship yeah and it totally undermining their ability to say that this is a sober impeachment process and when it does it's been anything but Susan Frasier thank you as always thank you for

First 5 California Launches New Campaign to Talk, Read and Sing So Kids Ages 0-5 Have a Chance to Succeed

"But on the show the deciders we like to feature people who are leaders in their field and change agents in their communities on the show I asked people to share their stories and offer insights and today we're going to do something a little unusual I am part of the team from Frasier communications on the show we're gonna be talking about how we build a campaign in very specifically about the first five California campaign in previous shows on this topic of early childhood education the importance of early childhood education I've spoken about the fact that our youngest children really represent our future and research demonstrates now that for every dollar you invest early you can get up to eight dollars back as a result of higher productivity less incarceration a more limited teenage pregnancies and many other ways and the research demonstrates that helping children early from the moment of birth to talk and read returning talking and singing to them not helping them talk of course that early can make a big difference in our brain development there's actually growth inside the brain to the team that developed that talk read saying campaign was here with me today and I'm gonna introduce them all and then we'll go back and forth talking about them so we have Eileen prince who's a senior vice president and director of client services who works every day on the first five account and her partner in that is Molly our who's our director of consumer experience has a Molly works in many ways on first five to create authentic experiences for family members for care givers and for parents amber stunned or the creative director at Frasier communications really brought on the mantra talk read sing to life and has helped us build and identity in the state of California for the campaign I've mentioned before on this show we're very proud of this campaign in particular because it's impacting parents we've been doing it for almost six years now and we have eighty seven percent awareness according to the UCLA us C. H. I. S. study that's done every year and among those of where those parents to wear over ninety percent of them say they're actually talking reading and singing more as a result of the campaign so when I talk about using communications to have a positive impact we really believe we're doing now let's start with a lean Eileen as I mentioned is the director of client services we have a full service media department in the agency but they're not here and I know I lean works very closely with them I think you talk about how this talk re saying message gets created and delivered to people not the creative part so much for the delivery of it to them through media throughout the state of California we started of all of our campaigns by doing a lot of good deep research because there's a lot of learnings that are continually changing and happening as the years go on so we use a mix of MRI or not Nielsen com score Scarborough and this gives us a lot of information about what our audiences are watching listening to and more importantly how they're changing just how they use their media so just a couple little quick nuggets to share like what's new in the the media lands out there is that on average adults are now spending almost six hours a day using their digital media so what does that mean we need to be using at more and more digital media to get our message out there to our parents and a lot of households are now cutting the cord to what does that mean no more subscriptions to a satellite they're going in using more things like Hulu live YouTube live and sling TV that's increased by fifty eight percent which is pretty astonishing Eileen I ate I think you're right as the media habits change we've got to stay on top of them hi you know you mentioned these chefs in media what about also reaching different ethnic groups and making sure we understand how to reach the most effectively yeah that's really really important so again our research helps inform but also our media partners help inform we do a really strong mix of Spanish Chinese Karan to Gauliga just to name a few and we have we know through our research where our audiences are but we also have forged really strong partnerships as a star to say with each of our stations are in language stations and they help us to create relevant messages to each of those audiences that's great I think you know we do something like sixteen languages and we're always evolving I know one another campaign we're looking at check talk out because we're targeting young people agendas ager six fifteen to twenty five years or twenty four year olds and the point is I think it Frasier we really stay on top of the media alternatives Facebook obviously being a big part of it Instagram Pinterest etcetera I'm only I know you've been really involved in the social media side of it and then extensions of the media to will be call integrations tell us about those yeah this building off of what I lean was saying about using the media the as a delivery system the messengers are really important part of that who's actually talking and who's saying our campaign messaging and that we also either work with our media partners for example with Spanish language with Univision we've worked with their star is Omar and our Heliade I'd to do content integration into their shows but then we also use ESPN and their radio talent and across the board let me explain because I don't think people know that term integration and I think this is actually an added value of Frasier being the op having the opportunity to see other people's pictures and their decks I know they often don't do this but when we work with our media partners we asked them to help us deliver the message or we call trusted sources so as part of the deal will be by the media we get these talented people I stand simply for free sometimes are modest payments to them but it's not the same as going that to them independently and we actually worked very hard to create the messaging the talking points but then they deliver and extremely authentic way that's what we mean by integration so Marin R. Heliade did videos for us right it did and it's also important to add to that that we select these messengers because they're relatable their authentic to what we're having to say so Omar not wholly recorded videos with their children and with their parents and we've had them talking about multi generational our conversations and with I mentioned earlier with the S. P. and we use Johnny hacker who's the punter for the rams he is a new dad so we had in coming on talking to other dads using sports as a way to connect and really make sure that he is relatable that his audience and his followers and his fans can trust and not just as a as a hero in their in their medium but as a regular dad that they can just listen to and learn from then follow follow emulate him I think that's really important you know we we could produce as many as fast as we'd like but having it said in their own voice I remember in particular with Omar and how are how on Helly at our hell yeah we we have discovered that there were issues with people who were learn their letters foundation another country like Mexico not being confident they even spoken well enough because our grammar is maybe as a perfect a particularly women who don't want always get to go to school all the way through so many of the women we had invokes regionalist third grade so of the grandparents of Omar and Haley I could talk about the fact that she I don't know if I should speak Spanish for talking in front of my kids but Marano Haley as it is okay it doesn't matter their brain is growing just as a result of you're talking in using words or telling stories right so some of the messages that are new ones are kind of difficult for us to express maybe in a paid spot get shared absolutely and a lot of these influencers and trusted sources have multiple channels in which they reach all of their audiences so we take advantage of all of the outlets that they have in any touch point we can have with their fans and their followers so for example with our help we'll go we'll keep what they are highly a trainer she did a Facebook live for us she's a ton of followers on her Facebook channel they tune in and she talked to them from from the could recall that carpool carpool I don't know if this plan carpal carrier right and she just talked while she was in line waiting to pick up her kids from school she taught three got online and just started talking about her day and now she's going to do and talking with their kids on the way home and the song she sang so it makes it really true now we've also had experiences with Mario I lean can you talk a little bit about Mario Lopez and getting him involved I'd love to talk about Mario Mario has really been a champion for first five California he has now three children he just added to his family just a couple months ago and he has been a true spokesperson for us across the state on his radio he speaks in both English and Spanish so he's able to again just like with Johnny hacker does for sports those listen to entertainment are following him as both a trusted source and a good friend because a lot of folks to listen to radio really do have that kinship to those they listen to in Mario has really resonated throughout the state for us and so much so that first five California's actually even recognized him for all the great work he's done in helping share the message about talk read see now they gave him an award and what and what is your state conferences which was wonderful and Mario is on I E. entertainment right we're just a show so our entertainment to manage he just changed over I think it's acts he just check this out show a Mario also has a following on IG entertainment shows he was on Entertainment Tonight now he's on access Hollywood people really believe in him and of course we go to universal studios to record with it which is a lot of fun which is love and I think trusted messengers are a critical part of what we do but we also have to develop messaging and of course even the theme talk read saying it changes everything first let's talk about how that came to be well we know that done from other brain research review and we also know from our own childhoods the songs we still remember the two the two spider in Riverview boat and and a big catalog of this the thing that is very true is that words in sentences that end up in rhyme are very are more easily remembered if you take that if you take that a K.
