"Take Caller number nine Right now, 800 to 88 92 7 800 to 889227. It's to go see Frankie Valli and the four Seasons so you got their maze the fifth month. 14 minus five is nine. Why can't everybody figure that out like it's simple? Not everyone's gotta find like you held its simple man. That's it. That's it, Boy. I've got a great joke. I could deal but I won't He's gonna get us canceled if it's gonna get his canceled. No, it's zone. Old joke, But maybe if we have time I'll do it later. All right, said they're doing a brain test on old people at the home. But go ahead of all we'll do it. All right. 7 19 w baby, They're not going to tell the joke. But there is his old folks home they're doing. Bring the task ahead. We'll stick it in. I'm sure you've heard about going to. A lot of people are considering this a joke, and that's the big story to come from yesterday. Is that the CDC has come out and said, You know what? We've got the research. We've got the science If you been vaccinated, you no longer have to wear your mask indoors or outdoors. You no longer after social distance. Normalcy essentially if you've been vaccinated, according to the CDC. I just can't believe it because this I didn't know whether to be stand up and applaud and cheer or get mad and not mad. Really, but I wanted I wanna apology to the two are the leaders in Texas. You know, mainly the governor Abbott for being called Neanderthal fakers. When Texas did this a month ago or whatever it was And and Biden said, the Neanderthal thinking of Texas and now look what's happening. Yeah, I mean, it's you had Ted Cruz and others basically coming out, saying Well, the reason We're just now getting this is because of politics. Yeah, Just this has nothing to do with politics. This this was just our governor, doing what he thought was best for the state where the agreed or didn't agree. He had and it turned out as it stands now. I guess it could change. Now the CDC is doing what Texas is done. And I just like my nose. Abbott apology I did. I agree, but we're not gonna get one. You know, we all know that's not coming. Because of that. You can't in politics. You can't have an admission of guilt. Now this the CDC guidance comes with a couple of caveats. Okay, we'll tell you about that after traffic.

"And Steve Patterson. You like Huey Lewis and the news? This is the beat TT. I almost wish I didn't put his name in there because I was gonna ask you if someone were to play Frankie Valli in a streaming event performance of the Tony Award winning Broadway musical jersey, Boys Oh, I would say I'm hang on. Who would it be? I would say, Nick Jonas, you would be right. Yes. Oh, my gosh. I don't know how you did it. Great. I could see it. He is in talks to play Frankie Valli and, um I guess this is going to be on some streaming service. They don't know which one yet, but I guess they're gonna shop. It. Um, but the event will be produced by bohemian rap cities Graham King and then the original Broadway producers. The Dodgers I guess that's their names with Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio. Mm. So he is going to sing the song catalog that Frankie Valli and the four Seasons built up in a show that traces his origins from Newark to the top of the charts in the sixties. I have a question. I probably don't have an answer. But go ahead, sir. And I might sound like an idiot here but is this is Frankie Valli? The same Frankie. Frankie Internet. No, That's Frankie Avalon. It's okay. Well, this changes my memory, Frankie Valli is you know he, Hmm?.

"The four seasons left, Bob Gaudio and Frankie Valli and when Tommy died at Reed shots, my friend Rick Alice, he wrote the great musical Jersey Boys, one of great musicals of all time about the four seasons and Rick had some memories of Tommy DeVito and well before we get to Rick Let's let's take a listen to some of the great songs from Jersey Boys. Just a little bit. Wei Wei. Good morning, Michel. Good morning, Lin. Good morning. So, Rick, what was Tommy DeVito like to sit around with because in your telling of the story, Tommy DeVito is the guy who kind of gets involved with the mob a little bit and some of the stresses and strains he puts on the group. Are the stuff that breaks them up. Yeah, well, you know, Tommy bless his heart was a real character. You know, we had spoken at length with Frankie Valli, who, of course, is the you know the famous voice of the group, and we had spoken at length with Bob Audio. Who's that? The principal songwriter of the group, and they were interesting and fascinating, and they have great anecdotes. But you got the feeling that they had told the stories, lots and lots of times and they were a little bit written in stone. And then finally, we got a number for this guy in Vegas. Tommy DeVito, the third surviving member, Nick Massi, the fourth member had passed away by the time we started working on the show, so we got this guy's number, and we called him in Vegas and I'll never forget it. We were both at Marshall's apartment, sitting across the room from each other on different telephones looking at each other and Hey, you know it was our eureka moment, just the the sound of his voice and the things that, he said, because everybody knows the songs, But nobody knew the story. And Tommy started to presented an almost Shakespearean way. I'm talking love and hate and poverty and and power and music and money and revenge and betrayal and crime and punishment and women and Wives, sort of dysfunctional family feud started to emerge in our head and ringmaster of all of that wasn't Frankie who was a kid when it all started. It wasn't Bob. It was Tommy DeVito. The classic bad boy, even as an older guy by the time we spoke to him, But you could tell he was dangerous. You could you know, he was sort of larger than life, even over the phone. Hey, Rick Michael was rig ailing us with a story yesterday. I wonder if it's true or not. He was claiming that when you guys originally conceived, the show is gonna be more on the order of Abba and weaving the story around the Four Seasons songs and that all changed once you spoke with Tommy DeVito. Well, that's almost right. But you know, with almost everything that Michael best riddle, that's Redl. There's a little kernel of truth in there. Really truth Is that what I was asked to do when I was originally you know, sitting at my desk and the phone rang. I was asked to Dio sort of a mamma Mia got gag with the music of the four seasons. To which you know, I famously replied she I love Vivaldi. But do you really think there's a whole story and in there? I don't know. Not not the volume or on the of the valley and the quiet one. So why would you? Why would you want to do that? You know somebody ready? Did Mama Mia, you know it's it's a big hit. Go see Mama Mia, That's what you want, and and the guy said, Would you be willing to meet with them with Frankie and with Bob Gaudio? You know who wrote all the great songs, and I said, Okay, you know, because you know, you work in the theatre of free lunches, a free lunch, so I called my friend Marshall Brickman. I called my friend Marshall's owed. You know, I got a lot of money to because I'm a terrible poker player. And so it seemed very popular in Marshall's poker group, because I was always losing. And I called him and I said, Can I wipe away some of my debt? If we write a musical together, he said, Well, I don't know. I've never written a musical. And I said, Well, neither have I, But we'll go and we'll have lunch with you guys. And you know, maybe what? This waste our time? Whatever. So by the time we went to meet them, we already knew that it wasn't going to be Mama may have. We don't know quite what it was going to be. But in the back of that little dark Italian, Russia on 46 Street, it became clear while we were waiting for the Caprese salad that what happened to them Just As they were talking about their lives was a much more interesting story. And I do think, Rick, you paid your debts to Ah, marshal over the course of the time with some Jersey boys. Well, you know, I mean, they're adept in their death. I will always be indebted to Marshall Brickman because he sort of taught me how to be a man as well as to how to be, you know, a decent writer, but it's good to have people to aspire to in life. And and Marshall is certainly that for me, let me throw in one last thing, which is just to say one of the things that we did, because we didn't really know Tommy. When we were writing the show was to really paint him as this sort of as the villain of the story, but you only had to meet him. He only had to meet him with his family and his daughter. Darcel and his grandson, Thomas were in the hospital with him over the weekend last weekend. You know he wasn't alone. But all you had to do was meet the real guy with his family over the years to see how Treasure. He was really how he was always their man of the year year after year after year in its fans feel the same way and that and our director does Mac Enough always says, As long as Jersey boys is playing somewhere, Tommy DeVito will always be the springtime of the four seasons and I just think that's a nice thing to say over the air today in his honor. Rick Alice. He wrote the jersey Boys with Marshall Brickman. And you know Marshall Brickman is right, Len. Yes. Yeah, He loved his boys. You see, I just said that, but he also wrote Annie Hall with Woody Allen. Oh, he was sure he was a big Woody Allen collaborate. Marshall Brickman. It was a pleasure to talk to pleasure. Pleasure to talk to my friend. Itwas really interesting. Good stuff. Really good stuff. And Jersey boys. I was looking. I was looking at the worldwide gross of Jersey Boys. It's all Yeah. $3 billion now, so I think how much his work Ellis, get out of that. Well, you know, more than more than you and I we're going to see in our lifetimes. That's for sure. 92% of that or something like that. I think that's also percent of that is a lot of money, folks all right up next, Trump says, Well, if the election's close, and if he loses, he might not go peacefully. How did Nancy Pelosi take that? Yeah, I know that's all coming up next day. Almost every day you hear, let myself talk about balance of nature's fruits and vegetables in a capsule of what it does for health. We want you to feel the difference in your health by adding balance of nature's fruits and vegetables, Really 31 whole ripened fruits.

Can't take my eyes off you by Frankie Valli But he never hits those notes ever so. I don't know why someone must have at some point. We'll sings eh to me so creepy. It is creepy Anyway okay so had I'm just like I'm a little over. Also there's all these other girls who are my regulars and stuff who he's there the whole time he keeps coming in sitting by him and doing all the stuff and these girls are going like frigging Laurel. I write and Jackie. He basically stocks me. Whenever I'm here I'm like is touching the waitresses? It's just like but he likes. He thinks he's a nice guy he thinks he's the Nice Guy. It blows my mind so I'm like just no one sold them otherwise right also to be honest. I know it's not right but I would be a little nervous to one hundred percent. I think he'll go down every night. Yeah if he's still there and if it's just me and him that's not a safe situation for me exactly so then I'm like okay. This is so and then it comes. I'm grabbing on my staff. I have this sheet this black sheet that I cover my stuff with and he starts walking towards me and and if this is not the most passive you've ever seen me I literally just held the sheet up and I'm not kidding. I said the alphabet.

"Hit for Frankie Valli and the four seasons few people know that the song was originally titled Jackie baby in honor of the then First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Frankie Valli I think he's eighty five I just checked his website he is still actively touring that guy is not gonna slow down for anybody just can't get over that high voice you know it's just so on that note grant how about Frankie Valli impression Kristen don't you think our listeners would really a minor I no I don't think I can actually pull off the friends you know you can hit a C. here the major I am or what I'm up here here we go ready she may yeah I'll bring it back there with the based on what what is your range again I'm more of a baritone but I sing tenor in the choir okay yeah we don't just sing in a choir you kinda had the whole thing up no I used to I thought are you still there choir director now I used to be the choir director and they needed somebody that was you know full time so that's kind of what the church needed so I kind of step back is the leader of the choir now I just participate if the main person that's over the choir now if he needs to sing a solo you direct they just needed someone to have more time available when I commit to yellow knows a good thing it was a good thing he teaches a class now that the better thing commitment wise for him what you guys just sit still does that ever happen as a family who has a family practice about retirement and so active in the church and kids in school do you guys ever sit still well every once in awhile Greg does get H. to just do something on a whim so last Friday night he's like let's just go stay at a hotel down near Cincinnati and go to the outlet mall so we did that that was kind of a mindless activity that we could do together so that one was kind of easy because you know I had to I I sprung it on my wife at the last minute but then it was about shopping I mean I was all in Jaden there's any grabbed his suitcase and all this stuff and he's like I'm ready I'm ready to go is so funny from a six year old's perspective the things that they need to pack any outfits he put together it was kind of fun yes you have to take time to have a deep breath and enjoy some things but you guys are so active in a lot of different things in the community and that's why people love being around you hopefully love listening to the show and really appreciate your insight about their portfolio and helping them cultivate their own version of a winning retirement you can find out more about that and about Greg in Christian by visiting legacy retirement group dot com inflation taxes and healthcare three things that could affect the amount of money we have available for retirement but a columnist Michael Santo tell CBS news there's another potential threat you need to be aware of I think that the biggest risk people underestimate is the stock market we're right now going in a ten year expansion stock market rally that could end at any time so we need to be very cautious if you're approaching retirement it's kind of like an airplane doing final press for landing you don't have very much for recovery if something goes wrong so try to limit your stock market exposure is the market risky right now for those of us who are approaching that retirement age well the stock markets always risky at some point you know I mean that's just the nature of it if it goes up it goes down it's very volatile however the more time you have to wait it out the more likely that you're going to be very successful and that's a big big key to being in the stock market is being able to wait out the volatility that comes the highs and the lows I think we get program to think a certain way throughout our life in so when we're looking at you know the stock ticker on you know CNN or fox or ABC news whatever you watch they're talking about risky stocks versus safer options I don't know what the word they use this is but they use tag words that can lead you to believe that one safer than the other that's so fun because how many times Chris and we have someone come in yeah and literally they believe of all their heart that the stocks there in our our conservative stocks or say stocks well and they do and we almost have to do an education shift for those people because while it may be decently okay to think that way in your working years it's dangerous to think that way when you're getting ready to retire and to be honest how many people actually own individual stocks mean we need a lot that select their stock but not a lot compared to how many overall we meet with that now I would say less than ten percent own very many stocks if you know as far as individually most of them on them through mutual funds and so that creates some other things but one thing I want to point out is how we diversify risks because just bear with me for a minute imagine that I'm going to invite all our listeners over for a cookout no just remember the word imagine imagine because not only does the magic this is not an actual invite right but Kristen my amazing wife got me this grill that I truly love it's a trader use these little wood pallets it's so good but so I'm gonna have a really ballots cookout meal I'm gonna have some burgers at some broads got to have some dogs you know obviously hot dogs and we're gonna have some revise steak which is my favorite some pork chops in some grilled chicken and it's so we're gonna have a very balanced meal so what do you think about that Kristen well it sounds amazing Greg but I mean I guess I'm gonna need to bring a side or something to go along with all that no I got you covered we've got everything we need you don't have to bring anything no you don't need a little bit of green on my plate I am yes but that's what we've been taught in the investment world that I've got some small cap of gets a mid cap I've got some large gap of got some international I've got some domestic I've got you covered your diversified you don't have to worry about anything the problem is all of our money is still in one asset class gotcha and this is where we get into trouble we think we're diversified amber in one asset class so this is the principle of diversification so how do we diversify we have to go to different worlds of money in different places you have to go into different sectors and so there is wonderful stuff to be invested in with in private equity within private debt within venture capital within institutional private equity real estate there's all these different asset classes and the wonderful thing about dividing a portfolio now by the way most of this is only for the accredited investor okay who saved a million dollars or more or who make over two hundred thousand dollars per year you can invest a lot of these different things but just face it when you're young yes maybe you're only in a mix of different stocks and things like that but you don't have a lot of risk but by the time you saved a million dollars do you really want someone to have all that money one asset class that's not does that make a lot of sense I mean isn't your grilling analogy is really making that very obvious because that is a a balance of different main entrees different meets on the grill but there's not anything else in sight that makes a lot of sense in the equation you're making it to our portfolio yes well the other principle to keep in mind besides diversification is called correlation okay now so in other words whenever an action happens there's always an associate what reaction reaction you're exactly right so when we have all these different equities are stocks or mutual funds that are all within the same asset class one one action happens in other words stocks go down guess what happens to our portfolio all it would go down to exactly and so we get shocked when we think we're diversified in the market goes down in our portfolio drops dramatically so how do we get the proper correlation well we want some negative correlation meaning when one action happens there's a part that's not affected that's why you can't have it all inequities and so we used to run the bonds but bonds are quite as safe as we always thought they were going to be because of interest rate volatility right now we can't just run the bonds all those stocks and bonds are certainly to asset classes but do we want to have just two things on our plate I mean lately I've been kind of watching my carbohydrates and watching my sugar so it's basically been meat veggies meat veggies at lunchtime salad salad salad right button that gets a little boring after time it is not really as balanced as it probably should be so don't accept just having two items on your plate or just one item on your plate we want a balanced meal we want to have a well rounded portfolio so that we can have a more predictable outcome and that's the reason that we do the show really does to get this information out there because I find in the mainstream I'm here a lot of people talking about right now it's obvious that I'm not originally from around here from the Deep South and it sounds like to me what you're saying ragas as my mom used to say we need to make up pretty plate lots of different things on there lots of different yeah and make it diverse what does your portfolio look like is it diversified in the fashion that Greg and Chris were just talking about if not pick up the phone and take advantage of a portfolio X. ray this is a thousand dollar value to have a full blown second opinion on your portfolio looking at every account you have with your for fifty five you save for retirement and you really do yearn to know where you stand and.

The hill reports Trump President Trump's approval rating stands at its highest level in two years. According to a CNN poll released on wetness day s today. Trump's forty-three percent approval rating is the highest since a CNN poll conducted in April of seventeen around the one hundred day Mark of his presidency. His disapproval rating stands at fifty two percent in the new survey. The president's job approval rating now includes roughly half forty six percent of all independence. Eighty six percent of Republicans only five percent of Democrats gave Trump a favorable performance review. Well, that tells you a lot about Democrats, doesn't it? Let's do the math, shall we? One in twenty Democrats thinks he's doing a good job. Let's check you on exactly how he's doing number one black unemployment at a historic low. We've never registered a lower unemployment rate for blacks. Or maybe we don't care whether blacks have jobs or not. Maybe just maybe blacks being able to support themselves and their families is not really a political goal from the country for the country. Maybe just maybe if blacks can support themselves that's actually a bad thing because why would blacks vote democrat? Yeah. Why would they vote democrat? If. They could support themselves if they could make money if they didn't need projects for poor people. Let's check in with Bernie Sanders. He's a really old white socialist who thinks all black people are minorities or felons. And that's why he wants them to vote. Why is this? So important. Your campaign world Brooklyn. I think you know, how politics works. I was asked that question. In fact, I didn't come up with it. I asked the question, I.

Issues like kind of hitting ish. I did cold. My husband and say, listen, I would've loved to a film day. Maybe we can do Conan too. See why not? Boy, I totally believe her to do. Oh, yeah. I think anything goes in there. In the Hollywood in Hollywood, and in that relationship Ozzy, and Sharon, I mean, he's very publicly slept with other women while he's been married to Sharon. And that thing they separated for a little bit. But they always seem to get back together. And then, you know, things like this where they're having threesomes and all you have to do is call up your husband or your wife and say, hey, I'm bringing so and so home, and they're they're they're up for it. But no pun intended. Everyone's fantasy every man's fantasy is to be invited to a threesome with another man. Yeah. Right. Loses in just Matt. It does beg the question. If you are Matt LeBlanc. Let's just say you are you guys you are your own individuals. And you get asked by Sharon Osbourne to be in a three way with with Sharon and Ozzy. Do you take it? No. Sharon. Yeah. You know what I'm saying or two. Thank you. Jason I thought of all the guys on the show. You would have said yes because you'll do anything for money. What money? Well, what if there was what if there's a million dollars? Out there. Cash in my account. No taxes to be able to say. Say I was asked to be in their threesome. And then you have the story forever and ever that. You did it was Sharon, and I don't want that story. Liu. Yeah. No. Thank you. Bon Jovi and his wife.
