"He's good underneath option if he can win that job over Dede Westbrook who's a lot older and a lot less productive than I think people recognize Westbrook uncommonly on their last years of the contract channel is the future and this team's GonNa be nudity looking to the future is a great compliment for DJ Chart, and he's a better downfield receiver than people understand he was a really productive downfield as well. We had since down does when we talk about these guys, we had Mark Long Associated Press on HQ stock by the Jaguars and. He he kind of echoed what you said there been but more. So on the negative side of things just by plankton that he thinks they're going to go with you know West Broken and Conley probably more so than we would like to see just because those guys are proven connolly's you know been so good in the community I know we don't usually talk about those things but that matters I think to the franchise and the team that's trying to establish reestablish a fan base after what happens over the last couple of years. So they may give little bit longer leash But yeah, Westbrook's guy that I think is going to probably be a little bit of a problem for Chenault getting on the field but future wise he he could be amazing. Maybe. It's a pick that doesn't pay off in week one. Maybe you don't have to draft him but be high on the viscous and all. There's a lot of potential there and he seems like a very good fit for garments you as we've talked about. In previous shows Jamie, you've got two more sleepers other than Ben Rothlisberger and Josh Kelley. Anthony. Miller who is going around like the eleventh round or so he's outside the top forty it wide receiver NFC's wide receiver, fifty, one Anthony Miller, and you also have Chris Herndon who's awful. Lot of radars tight end twenty, six, Oh fantasy prose tied and twenty on NFC and only played one game last year but. Chris heard in. The remember I given that stat about Noah Fan had like the same stats as rookie is Rob Gronkowski Jewish kid oh well. Christner didn't pretty much did as well five, hundred, two year and four touchdowns. Excuse me. You. Know you brought up something quite a bit about Blake Darwin. In this have league winning upside or the upside, just to be the twelfth best tight end. and. I started thinking about that a little more and I think he kind of falls in line of a guy that could end up being more ten twelve opposed to maybe top ten type of player. The targets be the foreign Dave Dave made that point and I, think that's kind of where I come out on it. But I, move burned into my. Top. Twelve ahead of Blake Darwin because you look at first Denzel, Meneses hurt now. So there's there's a guy that's going to miss time You mentioned what Hernan did as a rookie go back to last year Ryan Griffin played nine games with Sam darnold healthy. He had five touchdowns in those nine games so they're going to throw to the tight. End. Quote, we know what engaged and Sam Darnold I think like to do inside out as opposed outside and so while Jamison crowder should be the number one guy I think he made a case earners their number two guy and reading the practice reports in the last couple of days they've moved him everywhere they played them in the slot they. Played outside they played them in line they you know using him just all over the formation, and maybe that's because of you know mims not being on the field but we know what beside Perelman's career has been and Mims you'll make take some time and now the injury could send them back a little bit i. needed a big opportunity here for Christmas. and so he the guy that does oddly winning upside and so I'll I'll take a shot on him as a in that group of fant hopefully Hodgkinson Healthy Blake Darwin Jonah. Smith. But I'M GONNA take him ahead of Austin. Hooper and Derek Cook I think. That's a pretty hot take right there. Yeah, that's bold. So he said ahead of Jared Cook Huber taking Chris Herndon. Okay. And then you Anthony Miller do you like Anthony Miller Christian Kirk? I like Miller better but they're they're kind of same spot. You know number two guys on offense is that I think will throw more than the bears I think we'll throw more maybe expect. But I think there's an opportunity for Miller. As we saw last year when I was out, you know his number pop targets should be there for them very easily. You look at this tight end group it's not exactly great. You have an old guy young has approved south still there there is no Thurbers to speak of. I don't think Riley release going to be that guy tag in we know he is. He's you know basically want your Tony. So I I think there's a big chance Frankie Miller step up in his third season. You know I like third guys, he hasn't proven himself yet over his first two seasons, but he's shown flashes but there should be a big opportunity with hopefully better quarterback play and so I like Anthony Miller as a fourth receiver with a chance to use him as a number three guy. Higher. Dave two more sleeper somew- one of them I was like what radio COBB I actually would love to change rental I can talk about Capo. Yeah. It's like a late round. Dart throw just because he's probably the healthiest of the top three pass catchers in Houston at this point, and there's a metrics I really like about him as far as yards after contact per catch and. Catch raid all that stuff from the slot. He's established slot guy and I think that's going to be as role but. I think the what's happening right now in New York helps for shot Berryman and I'd rather get him than Randall cobb anyway if I'm GonNa, take a shot on a wide receiver late let it be one that's got upside and permits dripping with it after the way that he finished last year I, know that his track record before the end of. Twenty one thousand nine is ugly but he's got a golden opportunity to be the number one outside receiver for new. York won't leave the team in catches that's GonNa be Jamison crowder could be second certainly should have a better yards per catch average than Jamison crowder and could certainly score touchdowns and apparently Sam Darnold is slinging it and camp so far so. That's a wide receiver. I write a story for the site about who's got a shot at ninety catches this year and he was my ultimate dark horse that he and. Taper the Yes. Ninety catches I. Think I think who else is going to catch the ball yet I know you made a great case for Herndon but we've seen Herndon flop four times already it seems like and I don't know if Denzel mims is going to be ready to go and I don't really trust any of the other recipients. They're running guys there I said it was a dark horse call and this is a late round pick. I'M GONNA to take a shot number sharp paramount, and a couple of drafts put him on he got. To the year, I would be shocked if he had fifty two, but ninety is really out there had to come up with somebody for it. That's who I picked. Can I throw in? There does not sleeper, but there's a new potentially we sounds important. Go ahead like it. Probably going to be a top ten running back this problem. Oh Go. Oh No, you can't. He left the field with a chain trainer. That's not enough it could mean. Me Yeah it is pouring rain there right now. Okay. That's. Perriman for forty nine receptions I WANNA say. AB doublet. Numbers I'll bet you anything you want that. Did Not, get the ninety. Okay that's fine. Look fifty catches from Rashad Perryman can still make for good at very least bench receiver fantasy. You know paramedics that not. Fifty is fine. Right I. Don't feel air yards guy to. Even if you only got fifty or maybe catches. Your eye. agree that night is silly I. agree that ninety s silly and fifty would be surprising I. Don't think you how many cats does he have in his career? He might only have like. Twenty five. Wait after last year, you had an assignment where you had to pick a wide receiver that was going to get ninety catches. I had to pick a bunch of receivers that we're gonNA get ninety catches. Anthony Miller also made this list. I think at Jamie would agree that there's a chance that he. Did. He had a five week stretch last year rouge averaging ten targets per game. So I had to come up with the Dr Course for it and I chose pyramid out of everybody else and it wasn't a slight crowder either..

"Give you this that this is from Nix film school on Twitter poor zinc is and look at don kitsch when Frank Miller came to was their primary defender last night five of fifteen from the field five turnovers one blocked shot so there is a a one of the many stacks if you want to use him to talk about how ridiculous Frank Miller keno was last night as the next pull off that upset in Dallas against the Mavericks toll free numbers eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six let us start off with John in Brooklyn good morning John yeah but how are you today excellent how are you doing all right a little like to talk about the next one minute sure I don't know if you share my same passion or feelings for them but do you get the feeling that when you watch this team they can be up by twelve and then two minutes later they down by one yeah I mean is it something missing difficult to call for this thing on the team yes no you you have you do absolutely nailed and I'll tell you exactly what it is and I can't answer how they're going to get it but they need a cough for on this basketball team they need it off big on this team I thought Jared Allen played really well last night he was really aggressive he played with confidence I like what I saw from Nicholas Claxton Taurean prince did not have his best night I think that's what they're missing they are missing that that toughness and and I don't think that guy is Jared Dudley by any stretch of the imagination but I. thought Dudley did supply a little bit of that last year maybe not from a talent perspective but you saw what happened with him and Jimmy Butler in the post season I also think that when you play and have as many possessions as you have one of the good and the bad of having so many more possessions and playing at the pace that they play at is that lead changes good and bad can change very very quickly obviously but one thing about the nets through these eight games and I like what I saw defensively last night it was a major major improvement and this doesn't even include the big monster all right who I'm not thinking about this year but let's not even think about him without him this is a really good offensive team really good offensive team that may only get better so that part's exciting the question is going to be can they defend on off last night especially down the stretch I thought they did a really good job but I think that's gonna be the big question to see what level can this team go to before the big monster comes back when he comes back which I assume would be opening night next year Alice in Trenton New Jersey what's up ow yeah but I know you got to talk about something but frankly Neelix unit I mean I like you right last night work I thank you didn't get the guy on the block permitted to fast dot and a guy he guarded what thirty is that if you watch the garden what had did you watch the game out I bought the regular key to changing game defensively I mean you were the only three things I said those are one of the many things I said about Frank's performance last night talk about the charge you try to take and a charge he did take I've talked about him standing straight up as poor zinc is after a switch one right at the basket any force a bad shot I talked about that that matters he won the game for them last night if you disagree I don't know what to tell you I get it right you know looking at it listed on it on a team that's going to make it be playoff run Frankie Miller Keane is at the end in almost night the highlight of the neck the next book about the Jack in the dice in bad shape the next haven't been growing one I'm not saying the Knicks are in great shape I'm talking about a third year player who's twenty one years old who's getting better and better and first of all you're misrepresenting everything I said about Frank in the open if all you took out of it I don't play the attempt at the dock I said sure it showed the confidence he has in himself but I was more impressed by the confidence he had in taking the three point shots he took it hitting from the outside and the confidence he took on defense when he switched off of Lucas and played as well as he played so that's all you if that's all you're taking out of it and that's not what I'm taken out of it that's what made the back pages taken out of it look I didn't say where the Knicks are going I said to you I don't think Frank is an all star player but last night was a very good night for him and he's his defensive effort was the main reason they won last night and if you watch the game and you didn't come away with that but I don't know if you actually were watching the game to be to be honest with it Stephen bayside Hey Steve what's going on I've been now that Mike has re retired you know what your schedule's gonna be in January in January well my contract says ten to one that's what I know okay okay we try to get out I only when you look at it maybe make a little bit but I don't have enough yeah you never know I I I thought it was a mistake last time and I hope they are right that mistake this time around but we'll see what they want us to find I wanna talk about Yankee all season you know it's funny usually you wanna make a big deal about kitchen coach and but I think that it kind of symbolizes the approach of the organization look at this guy that they just hired they hired a guy that is his whole resume for wanting to thirty three years old Blake back whole resume is really minor league development and getting you know it is a very very into the analytics and the advanced technology of getting the you know getting the most out of the picture is how you came from Cleveland where they've done an amazing job of bringing along starting pitcher they I think there's something like nine starting pitchers right now that could they could use in their rotation any kind of like and you know he's still upset something interesting this week he thinks the anchor going to sign a starter in the free agent market this year but it's not gonna be Gerrit Cole he thinks it's gonna be Zack Wheeler and his his rationale is that this is a guy with big stuff a guy that's coming from kind of an old school organization and then that's going to the the modern high tech you know Yankees with all their analytics and all this stuff ABC thinks that this is like that Jack Wheeler could be the next Gerrit Cole yeah and that's kind of and yet you know and the Yankees when they hired arm bone they thought he was going to be the next great manager right when they have a lot of these moves that they've made you know weather was going or shell whatever they saw something where they thought he could be the next big jet skis are operating very much like Moneyball with money and it's not about finding the big long term contract which we all know many of them don't work out it's about finding that next yeah yeah and you that's where the Yankees alright it looks I think we wheelers Steve were all kind of jade a little bit because of the fact that he's been a map for the last point two years but you're right about that point about the Yankees looking for the next time the break out star and I think examples of that number one would be James Paxton I think when you trade for James Paxton you're not necessarily trading for him based on what he accomplished in Minnesota Minnesota Seattle you're trading for him thinking that some of those great moments he had in Seattle can all come together he can be a better pitcher I think when you trade for Sonny gray you're thinking almost the same thing and so Zack Wheeler would be assigning where you're signing him thinking yeah he's out some good moments with the Mets but we can bring it all together and he can be even better here the question I got to ask yourself is how much is that worth with Gerrit Cole and with Stephen Strasburg into a degree with Madison Bumgarner I think they're more sure things with Zack Wheeler you're signing him hoping that he's better than what it was for the New York Mets in twenty nineteen hoping he can really put together that second half of twenty eighteen and be more consistent with it if I'm the Yankees and I have the money I'm not just looking for the next big thing I'm signing the thing and right now the thing is Gerrit Cole Bob is in Oaklyn New Jersey about good man what's up Hey you know what I've kind of been biting my tongue while you're listening to these people like yeah we got to get rid of crime K. like used the prom pregnant milking prompt someone I've known as such is talking about last night I watch it every game this is the only got his only got out there playing defense and that's what I was going to read get rid of I mean you watch this seems like what I mean not constantly late our never played any defense never and if I did they can they can never come back to the camp in the stock and this is the guy to criticize when will you know what it was but it probably disrupted totally disrupted if you listen to the Nick call we took a few callers ago I think he was an ex fan that's my assumption or maybe wasn't think about what he said about Frank they're looking at something I hit on in the open and that is the expectations for him because he was a lottery pick the thought as well he's not going to be a superstar why bother no one's saying he's going to be a superstar now I disagree with the point that on a good team he's a D. N. P. I don't think is DMP on my team does a lock down defender I mean is he a starter on my team no I didn't say that we see an incredibly valuable piece even on a good team on maybe even a championship caliber team yeah and the short sightedness but I've noticed from NYC fans not all and not even the majority some is that Hey if I'm developing a superstar then I don't care that's ridiculous you have to develop all kinds of players on your team I witnessed that first you know it's Spencer Dinwiddie and Joe Harris developing I didn't say to myself well you never gonna be superstars what held all I care you have to develop all kinds of players on your roster and eventually when you develop many different kinds of pieces maybe a make a big trade maybe it's a free agent signing or maybe it's based on all the guys you develop you can then potentially take it to the next level the guy on this team right now and probably in my opinion the only guy on this team right now that has that star potential is RJ Barrett and we'll say but just because Frank Miller quina as valuable as he was last night may not have that all star point guard potential doesn't mean you shouldn't caring doesn't mean I just get rid of him that's the wrong mentality to have it's the absolute wrong mentality to have and his performance last night was really really impressive not just defensively usually it's yes just defensively but the confidence yet is shot last night you could see the difference more calls coming up next heaven Robert here on.

"Okay despite its a few minor technical difficulties that was a three song set from neat Gibson in the stars a Starday featuring Frankie Miller little Roy Lewis and Jesse McReynolds innate tell us about your your room with with the stars a started today that was just pretty exciting to to make this record and to a I started writing to start a book years ago and when I met a lot of the artists and interview them and then started return trips just picking and singing with everybody and then this idea came to do a record together once they were trying to save the start a studio and when that became an up hill battle that probably won't happen I was looking for ways that we can shine light on starting without needing to have the sort of museum to start a how else can we do it and it's just a lot of the starting position still around still making great music as you just heard Frankie and little ray Lewis and and died Jesse McReynolds of German Jesse there at the end so it's a lot of fun and you know that CD is available under family records if you want more information I think you can go to Nate's home website Nathan D. Gibson dot com strong in find out information about that recording and some of the recordings that need it Nate is done and he's done some other recordings that feature some starting material so you can pick them up at B. side records on State Street or via discogs dot com right so but but we are doing start a music and we're now switch with no shifted gears and we're doing Wisconsin artists who recorded material from the start a catalog and Bergen do a series of keeping the start a flame alive sets in this first one I think we'll be just a whole whole whole lot of fun I'm so excited to share the songs with everyone because when I came to Wisconsin my job is the ethnic American music curator so I am doing some field work interviewing musicians who are playing traditional music and also digitizing thousands of seventy eights and streaming them online of ethnic American music through the global centers local sounds project that we haven't missed music library and it's all sorts of great music from all of the all of the different immigrant groups that came to Wisconsin in the upper Midwest and in doing so they brought with them a lot of polkas and have been listening to a lot of polkas German polkas and check pulled guns in Polish polkas and finish polkas and all sorts of stuff and in doing so and combing through the archives I found some start a songs done as polkas and it's just awesome and it's just like when that happens is I get so excited and so happy and so the first one I found was any blues on check he had a band called the versa towns their record this around nineteen seventy Eddie was on check is is a polka hall of Famer he's on the national endowment for the arts national heritage fellow he's a huge deal when we start talking about poker is a Polish American bandleader he was born in Chicago but he spent his teen years in Wisconsin in Hiles Wisconsin and while he was doing that his parents owned a polka ballroom and he went rock and roll and he created a pseudonym called Eddie bell any made a bunch of rockabilly recordings really cool records a knock knock knock on your door stuff like that and when he moved back to Chicago he got really into polka and started this band started his own Beller poke a label and from any bills on check we have the most famous start a song y'all come done polka style.

"Definitely justifiable reason to question whether they are on the right path Dan before we let you go we're so bogged down with the kickers but it rightfully so what what else happened today no Khalil Mack spoke give us a rundown of some of the more important things that happen in house today we'll do not speak it was broke once that as a practice today I would say that the most notable thing for me is that after the Miller is still a lot of practice and so this is the second straight week with that that ankle and foot injury that he's got and this is significant in this regard he missed such significant time in O. T. A.'s in many campus he came back on the the offseason shoulder surgery any missing these very valuable on field reps to basically iron out the nuances of this offense understand how to get timing with his quarterback understand how to get timing with fellow receivers with the rock concepts they run it so for me it's it's it's kind of a reminder to temper the expectations for the early portion of two thousand nineteen Frankie Miller because he just hasn't been on the field enough iron out the things they want to hire now and so it's just a little warning that that his big splash may not come in the first month and a half of this football season as he gets back to full strength and and finds a step in the system Dan great stuff thanks stand like I thought you did we from the Chicago Tribune and can I use a little buns in our studio now yeah this is what's happened so great to see you as well they ranked out we send and I want I want to find out why the reason I want I want to pick your brain so the couch yeah there's a bigger there's a a bigger I guess focus on a different position than kicker up there as well what is the deal this should be a lot of focus a lot of things in any all stress me out all right well we'll talk about that coming into the special teams the extras it is great to see Michael will bind who is in the first debate west bank studio Hey guys it was a couple months ago I think of the brand new twenty nineteen hybrid Rav four from my local Chicago land Toyota dealer Jesse's been driving one for a while do like hobby does drive a Toyota totally redesigned can you do that one nine Taylor hobby does as well can you do what he does I have no swag I cannot play shortstop home no I cannot hit like rock is a good taste in cars with facts the cool thing about driving the Rav four I could be just like out in that way so sporty totally redesigned you're absolutely going to love it the fuel economy is on believable all the bells and whistles on the one that I've got I've got the sun roof I haven't had one of those in so long so many different modes with the dash and everything like that and it's just so comfortable when I take the family on a long trip to Bourbon may or maybe up to great America they all love the brand new Toyota the Rav four Maso demo ing the brand new Highlander it is awesome to to do what I did do what what a hobby does drive a Toyota at least check out the brand new full line up of Toyota models today about a Toyota dot com or check out your local Toyota dealer.

"All right. That was neat Gibson and Frankie Miller doing Frankie Miller song. Rain rain from the newly released Gibson in the stars to start a CD. We have Nate Gibson with us in the studio talking about that CD and the whole whole starves have started a project. I know the CD just came out and it came out on on the bear family label, which is kind of a feather in your cap. I think that. Teva CD on unbear- fairly. How did how did the bear family connection? Come about. I had done a Kickstarter campaign to fund this. I basically funded self funded it myself, but then you get to the point where it's done and you'd like to press, vinyl and press, CDs, and press cassettes, and whatever else you want to do to get it out there, and I did this project, and my friend Nico who works for bear family has all the Kickstarter campaign and saw all of the different levels that I had hoped to do music, videos and everything else, and he said, why don't you let bear family just take the CD indecent distribution for you. And you can do the L P this'll save you some money to do music, videos and other things like that. And I after talking with him and that live who's running per family. Now, it turned out to be a great deal, and I'm really pleased and honored to be working with them. Well, yeah. And you know, the the CD is out you have vinyl. Title coming out is that going to be a two disc. Deluxe said, we got to case wrapped fancy packaging and all sorts of cool photos, and a double double vinyl set will be done at the end of may he'll kill you. You know? I love the CD. But I'm kind of looking forward to score on a a a vital copy to. But if people are interested in right now getting the CD or or later on getting the how would they go about doing that well on Amazon dot com. The release is still a little ways away. And it hasn't hit any stores yet because bear family still setting up the distribution for it. So that moment, I'm the only one who has it. You could go to my website, which is Nathan d Gibson dot com and contact me through that. And I'd be happy to to get one of these CDs in your hands. I have a small stack of them and other than that. We're about two weeks away from release on Amazon for the CD. And if you purchase things through discards, you could also pick up a CD for me for through that. And if you're in Europe, I would just say by directly from bear family, probably cheaper postage. Okay. We'll gray. I didn't. I didn't realize that. This was an advanced copy. Yeah. We're still technically weeks away from release of his thing. Anyhow, if you hear things you like today. Whether it's.

"Back to the country normally with Bill Malone, but today substitute hosted by Jonathan Cooper, and Jane, Richard we have banned for the last two hours listening to start a releases the starting nineteen fifty nine and we have now in the studio with us Nate Gibson to talk about a really a brand new CD calls Nate Gibson and the stars and star day. So welcome mate. Thanks for coming in. Thanks stars. And started a is twenty four songs. What about a dozen of the original sturdy artists doing newly recorded versions of of their starting material with with Nate Gibson on. I think all the cuts Marty Stuart fabulous superlatives step in on a few of them. It's really nice. Cd? So Nate thanks for coming in tell us a little bit about the CD. How did it start where where did this idea originating? How hard was it to track? These folks down. Well, it wasn't too hard to track. The start artists down because I had worked on a start a book years ago and had interviewed most of the artists through that. So I've been friends with a lot of these artists for about fifteen or more years since I started digging into start a. But I I was. Why should I even start the story about it? There was a movement a couple of years ago to save the start a studio and that movement faltered for number of reasons, namely that the studio isn't for sale, and it's probably not repairable if it was but through that I gave a lecture on seven reasons why we should not save the studio and it felt kind of bad doing that. In a sense. I still believe that it's not salvageable and people should stop shaming the owner to sell. It started was built outside of Nashville for the purpose of being outside of Nashville. We don't do what Nashville is it's a Nashville based anti Nashville label, and it's been abandoned studio has been abandoned now for fifteen years. It is really cool. It's really historic building. But unfortunately, it's going to be bulldozed at some point. And so there was this movement. I thought I can't really be saved. But there are other ways we could honor start a people were sort of on this idea that well, if we don't have the walls, we don't. Have a museum. We can't talk about start. And I thought no we can we can perform start a there's a lot of the musicians who made the news that we love that. We've been listening to today that are still making music Jesse mcreynolds was to be on the opera last Saturday, which he postponed. But a lot of these artists are still d'arno Miller. You mentioned is still on the wheeling jamboree, let's still performing. And I thought let's just celebrate the music, and that was the impetus to travel around and sort of highlight the star day that's still very much alive and part of us today. That's great. You know, one of the things that really kind of amazes me, as you know, we've been playing starting nineteen Fifty-nine releases which is sixty years ago. And yet there are what five six artists who you recorded with just recently as you say, they're still they're still performing, and, you know, sixty years on on the CD of the fourteen start a artists, we tracked down. All all of them have been recording since nineteen sixty or before I mean, Jesse mcreynolds was recording in nineteen fifty. And so. We have. Yeah. They're they're all living legends in in my mind. They've all been doing this for sixty or more years. Definitely. Well, I wanna I wanna play a couple of cuts from from the D to give you folks out in radio led a taste of what's on this collection. And I thought we'd start with Frankie Miller we heard we've heard a couple Frankie Miller cuts the morning. We just heard pop and Johnny last song. We heard before the interview started. And we we started out with true blue, which was the flip side of black land farmer and Bill plan farmer. Let on his show last week..

"That is a beautiful tribute to country laugh. This case Mississippi. And we were just wondering as a song was playing. I'm wondering the good folks in Mississippi when they hear that very beautiful tribute to their. Their society. It was written by draft dodging the Yankee who ran off to Canada during the Vietnam war. And that course, being sung by a man of mixed extraction. Stoney Edwards user? Indian Anglo and African American. That's that's the American story. And the country music story too. Many respects, Mississippi, you're on my mind. The Armstrong twins during the stuck up blues. That's an. Shows a clash between city way his country ways. And there's a line of that song that we were talking about this too said, I knew you when you wore straw, head from under a Christmas tree. And I don't think anybody here has earthly idea what that means. Except bobby? Thanks, just just sort of a a Gosheh Pratt practice. You. Don't wear a stroll head at Christmas time at baby that was it. But otherwise, I think this song is really good. Stuck up blues? We heard Laurie Lewis, and there's no question is that was a beautiful song that beautifully perform, wonderful harmony who will watch the home place. So we are planning a variety of songs today. Some songs that idealized country live some that. Refer to its hardships lot of songs about leaving it behind the store and nostalgic songs about a way of life. It may not have been nearly as good when actually lived as when you hear them song. But anyway, I hope you're enjoying the program. I hope you'll listen each Wednesday. And by the way, that Melissa Lewis voice. You heard a few minutes ago doing the station. Was Jonathan coverage and Jonathan I'm Jane better principal Jonathan I guess are going to be doing the show next week. Joe Johns our telephones again what you're gonna do. You don't mind. Get the Mike turned on here. Thank you Bill. Well, I started out thinking I would do show on nineteen fifty nine. And then we got Nate Gibson as host coming in to talk about his Nate Gibson and the stars and start a CD that just came out. So I thought well to go along with with the new star day recordings. I'll I'll just play a a a show of of star day from nineteen fifty nine so well through the star day releases going to play the b side of Frankie. Miller's black when farmer. I was glad you picked the. But oh, there's a lot of bluegrass some gospel Jimmy, Jesse Iran. Ralph Stanley Carter Bill vice versa. Ravin Carter Stanley. It's hard hard to say. Thank you. I'll i'll. Next week. But you know, I I think it'll be a fun show. Yeah. Looking forward to to Nate coming in and talking about about his stars and start a CD and that whole project. Yeah. That's a unique project, and it's a unique show to magic you come up with enough songs for fifty nine hundred fifty nine alone on the started a label. Right. I've got fifty two of them. So. Which is good. Because a lot of them are like a minute forty five. There's there's more many more songs under two minutes that are over three. I think there's maybe three two songs that Clark at three minutes just barely. So that should be a lot of fun today songs about the country. And this was written by star day, performer, Arleigh Duff who was a schoolteacher. And he had a big hit with this song because it was covered by lots and lots of folks. Arly his own version is not all that exciting. But the song is is real good a tribute to the host the supposed hospitality of country life, and we're going to hear Jim and jesse's saying it's call y'all come..

"They get knocked out. They they could never build a team around him except for that one year when they made the Western Conference finals of Minnesota. Here's a trade. That would work. Just so people know Kevin knocks Frankie Miller kina, Tim Hardaway junior and your lottery pick for Anthony Davis that that trade works and you've. Well, I don't think. So that's the thing is you would the Knicks even offer up Zion. Williamson I wouldn't I would offer up Zion. Just for the record zion's. I love Anthony Davis. I would if I'm the Knicks, and I have the option to get him in this city. I don't but if I get the second pick, and it's RJ Barrett. The third pick, and it's our kid John rant like I would offer those guys if they win the lottery, I don't know that any team's gonna offer up that pin. I would offer it if I'm Scott Perry. I know Scott, Perry know, Scott Perry will I do believe this period does have significant relationships in basketball going to attract someone to the Knicks. The Knicks haven't been that attractive for a long long time. He does have Intel he does have a relationship with Kevin Durant. He was part of the management team in Seattle when Kevin Durant got drafted it. Also, those first couple years Scott Perry was one of the people who had a relationship with Kevin Durant there in help do things for him. So I. Think Kevin Durant fills very very comfortable f you have kristap still available on the franchise. You also have kyri behind the scenes he is a jersey kid. He would like to play in New York City in the garden. So I just believe with the new hierarchy that they have for the Knicks. They have a couple of things in place that make the Knicks far more attractive than they have it. How is it not explained this to me? How's it not a conflict of interest to have, you know, obviously, LeBron James with love the brow to come to LA house on comedy just have clutch representing both of them. And then you know, what I think I'm gonna go to really glad I'm really glad you asked that because this is going to become as we find different angles talk about the Anthony Davis story discussion point, which is the influence of Rich, Paul and club sports. I want people to understand this. This is how business has been done in the NBA forever. David full helped run the NBA when he was repping. Michael Jordan had that much influenced Dan Fagin once upon a time, Dan Fagin. Was rep and Dwight Howard Chandler Parsons, the rockets wanted to white Howard, Dan vague. Instead, I will steer him to you or away from you based on will you let Chandler Parsons out of his contract next year. Major league baseball boroughs. They just how it's done. It's it's normal business. It's normal. And by the way, the rockets and Chandler Dwight will all deny that that happened. It definitely happened. The so here's here's the reason. I bring it up. All what no issue for anybody till all of a sudden, it's Rich Paul LeBrun. Like, we've always had agents as puppet masters in the league and people just accept it. Rich, Paul and club sports, they became an agency and a little bit of a different way. They're run a little bit of a different way. And people don't like the influence that group that age demographic how they came up is having encroaching on what had been other people's turf. But this is how business is done in the NBA and has been for as long as I've been alive. All right coming up this Shawn Watson joins the show. That's next. First things first. The first thing sparse pretty good time to be Shawn Watson in his second season as an NFL star. The Texans quarterback lead his team to an AFC south title. He also made the Pro Bowl after throwing twenty six touchdowns to Shawn. Watson isn't Atlanta this week probably for the Super Bowl obviously for the Super Bowl joins us now. Good morning to Sean. Thanks for being with us today. Appreciate hey..
