"And then he's throwing 97. It's more now. This is the stuff and he's pretty good, pretty advanced for where he is in terms of age and experience. Now it's a matter of just having him go up the ladder, face better competition and continue to build up arm strength. Build up your ability to be able to get through a whole season. You know, I said, I'm gonna read off my report here. He's just risky is the typical high school arm because they will get hurt. And we don't. We're still not great at figuring out how to keep them all healthy but has made rotation upside and I actually would say he's probably not that far from his upside. It's not that we're waiting five years for all the velocity to come work for him to fill out. It's more. He's just got to go through the steps. That's another guy would say. You could probably start the season extended spring. We will keep in the complex little longer, But honestly, if he spends all of April in extended and stuff is fine, and he seems healthy. I'd send him out too low A and just let him go and say Hi. We don't care if you have 60, Ari. We're working on just a couple of specific things for you. Do not worry about the scoreboard. You're not gonna be throwing six innings to start. We're just trying to ease you into this. Better for you to do it in actual games, whether championship at stake my early championship at stake, there's hopefully fans in the stands, You're under the lights. It feels more like real baseball. The complex leagues are fine for guys just starting out. But for guys you want to try to advance more quickly get them out under the lights as soon as you can, Yes, especially after the whole year off, But you're not quite ready to say he's quickly yet, right? You won't give us that comp. No, I will not Sorry. I do a sleeper for every team at the bottom of the top 20 II list of sleeper Now last year, one of my sleepers really got to do much. Mottos was my sleeper for the Giants last year, and he did move up my Giants rankings, but he's not in the top 100. Yet for me a sleeper. It's like I'm seeing this guy could jump into my top 100. I think Montrose could do that. But I also said Let's get a second one in here since last year's is still in play, But let's pick in your name. Harrison was my guy. So there's a hitter in a picture for Giants fans to watch on the form this year. Those are the two guys in their system, I think could make big leaps this year. Keep up the great work, man. We appreciate all the coverage you've been giving us. I know It has not been easy over the last year, but we should get to a enjoy your birthday this year, man. So have a great one this summer, and we'll catch up with you. Maybe around draft on my pleasure. Great break down there from Keith Lie, Dave. I'm just I'm taking it back a little bit by his is analysis of Joey Barton. You know, he said, Actually, he's up a little bit overall on my prospect list and You heard him talking about that about how it's so tough to get a gauge on the accuracy of the scouting from last year, because basically, as you heard him say, they're like every team is just telling you. Yeah, this guy's great. This guy is really good because it adds value to their system right When what everybody believes your prospects system is through the roof. Then you make those deals and you start offering players or dangling talent. I do wonder, though, like that. I talked to Terry Crowley bearing news group You filled in for me yesterday about whether or not the Giants actually did offer Joey Bart when they put Essentially called about Frankie Lynn Door of the Cleveland Indians before he was traded to the Mets this off season, and it's like, Yeah, you gotta ask her. You gotta dangle your best prospect and just sort of see what the The value is that they're asking for more for him to suggest that Joey Bardet least for right now for him is protecting is a guy who's going to strike out of town, which is okay. But he said, Hey, he may be one of these guys is gonna to 30 batting average of 300 obp and hits 20 homers a year. He's like That guy is on 20 of 30 Big League teams every single night. That guy plays for somebody every night and While it's great, you know, you've gotta determine for yourself What value is at the number two pick in a major league baseball draft, Because is it getting 15 years of a guy who's just an everyday player? Do you say that's a hit? Or do you say at number two? Overall, you've got to be an all star, and I don't know that remains to be seen. But But Farhaan did say last weekend that You know he projects due in part to be starting catcher and Keith loss. And so we should stick with that that at some point he will be a big league catcher, but the again the stuff with Marco Luciano is tantalizing. He did sort of snuff out are our Alfonzo Soriano comp there, Which I'm okay with that. Give it to me straight. Give it to me. Honest. Don't don't get Alfonso Soriano stuck in my head, and then he shows up and it's a different dude. But he is saying this guy could project to end up being like a top. Maybe a top 10 or 15 talent in all of baseball. That's exciting stuff. So On the other side will switch gears back into the MBA. A lot of sound from yesterday Steve Kerr and Draymond Green, a practice talking about the dream on injection against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night. We can hear from Drammen on that, as well as an update from Steve Kerr on Tavon Loony and James Wiseman, who may return to action tonight We'll play that sound for you when the leadoff spot continues can be our 1045 and six a TV sports leader..

"I got it. I got a hamstring injury. I got a cat problem. I got turf toe. My gotta get better. He's got to get better. He doesn't look at him. He's averaging what 18 19 points game. You should be a 25 26 point. It should be a double double. Every night, he walking out of getting on a bed. He's 27 12 over his career. I don't know. Anyway, so and that's a look at the NBA scoreboard and we will go into the overnights before we do. I had to get some baseball in because to me. It was huge news over the weekend when the Dodgers signed Trevor Bauer The fact that they are plus 3 25 to 1. A real serious to me is absolutely ridiculous. I do not remember a team being Det short. A favorite to win. Well, they couldn't make him a minus. No, they couldn't have. But they should. There are five Cy Young awards in that rotation, ridiculous. And two and three piece Yeah. Three from Kersh, obviously one from Trevor Bauer, one from David Price. They have the best fit starter in the game with David Price. It's good. They have dusted man. Tony Gonsouland coming out of the bullpen? Yep. Unless you trade them, Use them as trade bait, But I don't think they will. I think they keep them because I know, but I don't have to keep him. Yes, And no, I would. I mean, when you look at this go, OK. I can put areas in the bullpen. Let me treat. Dustin May and Gavin looks to the Reds for Luis Castillo. And you anyway, you heading No, Suarez. Don't have to worry about Justin Turner. I know I have a third baseman is gonna they can hit 40 to 50 home runs and I have Oh, by the way, and Louise Castillo, who would be a number one starter on most teams as my number four, but I'm also looking at Couple years from now. Double years ago. I still have either gone stolen or may which everyone? I didn't trade, but I have both. Now I just find them in the spots that David Price and curse shall come out of, and I still have them. That's what I look. You're not gonna Bauer's there for two years. I know that, but I'm not. I don't want to give up my two guys that I believe in because I've kept them for A couple guys that I really don't know. Bauer was so much more important for the Mets to get them the Dodgers and this is why I didn't understand. Steve Cohen is the richest owner in all of baseball. And he said going in were our farm system. Isn't that good? So we're gonna have to throw money at this problem. The top five free agents, DJ the Mayhew, Uh, often and catcher just resigned. Real Thank you. Real Moto. George Springer. Uh uh. Trevor Bauer, one of those guys, you figure was gonna land in New York. They lost on every single They were in the bidding problem. They lost it. I'll bid for Springer by the Blue Jays. LeMay you by the Yankees power by the Dodgers Real Moto by the by the Phillies, although they decided not to go over real Moto because they signed James McCann. So, yes, they traded for Frankie Lynn Door and Coast Marasco. I think Carrasco's have forgotten guy in all of this, but He hasn't done when I thought he was going to do. And if Mets fans were disappointed, I totally get it won't end of the day. You can only offer them the money. They got. Take it right. So I mean, he offered But I mean in the National League, If you ask me, it's all I mean the play authority sewn up. You got the Dodgers, Cardinals and Braves. I think winning the West East and Central now, especially the Braves, re signing Marcelo Zuna. And you have the Mets and Padres. You two wild cards. There's no spot for anybody else. Well, it's it's almost the Larry Bird thing with with the Dodgers. Only Avery walked in locked room, said All right, who's coming in second? Yeah, right now. Doctors like I mean, and if I'm the Padres and my I just spun my wheels had this amazing off season in one fell Superman, nothing but even after doing all that, and you don't believe like I do, But even after doing all that I'm still going okay and And worst of all, it's not that I don't believe you do know is that I don't wanna be cocky about it. It's not me. It's just telling the truth there. They're so much better. And everyone last year. And an ad Trevor Bauer. So now, right before Bauer of the Dodgers were.

"Conversation with one of the newest New York Mets. We're gonna have a conversation with someone who's also an owner. The football team. We'll talk about it. He's heavy. It's a digital. It's my main man. Trevor made trouble. How are you? I'm good. Are you man? I'm cool. Thanks for taking the time to hop on. We know we've been dealing with 2020 and 2021. Lot of it has been digital and based on social media. How has your experience as a New York met Ben just over this past month or so. Been great. I'm excited to be. I was started to be that first guy and watch the dominoes fall behind me, you know, with with Frankie Lynn, Door and Cookie and McCann and No, probably other people. Well, we'll find out but it Z good time to be a met. The fan base is fired up. Everyone's excited about new ownership and the direction this team's going. So there's ever a time to join. The New York Mets is right now, and I'm happy to be aboard that train for sure. Yeah, that's a good idea. Troubles timeto make people hop aboard the other bandwagon. It's a good look right now. Especially with with Daddy Warbucks as I call him, Steve Cohen now owning the team, and you've talked about how just him being interactive. Connor was one of the things that lead you towards being more attractive. The New York Mets. How much do you value that to say that the owner is Kanda? Tangible? He's not some dude who sits up on a mountain or a hill and doesn't care. Yeah, it's it's being a huge fan. Your whole life is a big Part of it, professing that like yourself, you know, it's not just like a rumor right on on social media stuff That's just like this is where the world's going for me. I feel like there's a lot of, you know, it's been in the news a lot about the negativity around social media, but I think that there's two sides that coin. On band You know, in the entertainment business, it's It's really important that people are enjoying themselves and enjoying the product You're giving him. Um and it starts with him. He's the top of the pyramid. And he's It's a new games. Changing all all sports are changing the way the games are played and portrayed and all that kind of stuff. It's it's It's evolving. And, uh, you know, he's he's kind of He's taken that in stride and evolving with it on, But I think that that's that's a super super cool thing to see first and foremost, but the second the same time You know, he just exudes that he's part of that family is the families has been clamoring for certain things. And and and he basically just came out the gate said. Hey, guys, I'm right here. I'm part I am one of you like I could be out the crowd with you, Uh, doing the same thing. I'm thinking the same way as you and I have. I have some power. Tonto make a lot of these things happen. Trouble May is on the line with us. One of the newest New York Mets. So you talk about how the game has changed. And I know you grew up a Mariners fan up in Washington, and the game is different. We don't see you know Garcia and Jamie Moyer and Randy Johnson going out there. Just given you, you know, 89 and you being a reliever. When you take a look at how the game is changed over the past 20 years, too. You know what we've seen with the Mariners? What do your thoughts on how the game is adjusted? Yeah, it's interesting because, you know Really You're seeing it with a lot of guys, guys, So give it a little preface here for a lot of guys want to stay starters for for for a long time. You want to stay started cause I always get the major leagues frankly started just have much better earning potential long term. S o, you know, being like a middling starter or started that's just like good enough to be in the big leagues but isn't leaving a staff But you could make a lot more money your career than being a You know, the best closer in the league. It's it's like comparable, so it was always preferable now that that that shift is changing. So for people's careers being a reliever isn't so bad anymore For your long term career. You you can make a you could make maximize your potential in the short one that you have. Believing now, and that's that shift is happy. So that's great for me because I was a guy who switch fairly recently in the last few years to be a full time reliever. But once you understand that, uh, it's interesting to see how big of a value certain innings of the game are being given now and and now you want your most Shut down arms to throw those innings. So when you do that, you start to identify times when you might go into the game, and it helps to kind of iron out what your role is, and then when you got a bunch of guys down there that can do it like I was very fortunate. Be part of very good bullpen last couple years in Minnesota. With, like, four or five guys who could pitch who who could all get saves and could all throw? You know, in the 9th 8th all the way down to the fourth inning, and we did And seeing that shift, it gives us a lot of gives relievers more value that they add to a game, which is always good. In my opinion, because I feel like we're the kicker. Sometimes. Trevor May is on the line with us here, CBS Sports Radio Yeah, you started off as a starter coming up and you were with the twins. You had to Tommy John. You became a One of the best relievers in the game. And now you're a New York met you faced off against one of the newest and more exciting New York Mets right now, Francis Colin door when he was with the Indians for Met fans. When you had the face this dude in the batter's box, what was your thought process and what can met fans look forward to every day in and out with Francisco. Well, The guy plays super incredibly hard, and he's always having fun. You know that he's got the smile that is known for he's been winner. He's been part of a group that kind of came into to an organization that that wasn't the top of the division and then Because he was part of because he came on and they had. Josefa has the Ramirez join and and a bunch of young guys come up and then start include burn all those guys. He's part of that kind of renaissance over there, so he knows how to win on Carrasco is part of that, too. So we got in both. Great defensively. It's a great hitter. He's tough tow. You can't strike him out of a big strikeout guy I've faced him, uh, seems like 1000 times on Gwen. I needed a big strikeout. I wasn't necessarily able ever to get it, but it was all just about getting them out. I go after strikeouts with 1990% of guys I face. He's not one of them. So he's just not a guy that that's gonna get you. Success on So he's gonna battle. He's gonna give you those long bats. He's gonna He's gonna hit guys in and he's gonna He's just gonna addio already lethal lineup of guys. He's It's gonna be not fun to face him. And it's gonna be really nice to say for the fourth straight year that I gotta I gotta pitch behind a lineup that is probably top three baseball, so this is really exciting. Trevor May is on the line with US CBS Sports Radio Trevor You talk about the lineup. We can look at the pitching. We can look at the bats..

"I've got my final hour ready to rock and roll. We are Template attempting to Established contact with Jim Duquette. Former major league baseball, Gentlemen. You provoke the Mets and the Orioles on now we got coast for Sirius XM and does met TV work. On their table out. Let s and why. It's a pretty big moves around Major League baseball, so I didn't want to catch up with Duke. I try and get him up every couple of months. I think he's one of the best faithful. I was out there. These days, so will reach out to Jimmy D and see if we can get money Telephone line Game Two of the triple header of the NFL wild card playoff Sunday is underway. Saints driving first possession, They drove it and Flattened out and ended up having to punt. The Bears didn't get anywhere. The Saints are now into the end zone for the first score of the afternoon, and this one Michael Thomas, back off the injured list with his bum ankle catches about a nine yard touchdown pass from Drew Brees. I would say to put the Saints up sex, and nothing will keep an eye on that game for you, but You want to spend a couple of men stocking all things baseball with my next guest. The aforementioned Jim Duquette joins me here on CBS portrayed Yo, Jimmy D Johnny Mack here. How was your New year? Bring back everything That was good, Thank you. Hopefully staying with you. You could stay in healthy, healthy as I can be in this covert world in which we live, which means staying home and not leaving outs and living like a hermit, but breathing and upright. So that's the most important thing doing that pretty well. These days. Um You're staying busy with the activity of the Mets. The big trade that they made this week. Um, sure did Janette's and why talking about it? You talked about it playing on your serious XM show. I did a bunch of shows in New York around the holidays couple before Christmas. A couple after Christmas, and I got too many met fans saying Well, when is the new owner with the deepest pockets in the world going to start spending money? And I said, Who have you lost? Who is he? Not? So I was because of me. You've gone elsewhere and signed that you desperately had to have is a Medford that Well, he's got all his money. Why isn't he spending it well dipped to get Frankie Lynn Door and Carlos Caracas Co. Uh, didn't know that was the route They were gonna go. I do. It's gonna be like most my fans free agency. Were you surprised when you got the word that will endure was now met. Yeah, I think that's the thing that's it stands out about that trade. Not that they traded for him, but he had a kind of given us the blueprint earlier in the winter that he was I didn't have the upper level prospects to match up. You know, it's gonna be difficult to make that type of trade. Um and so you know that got everybody kind of looking at the free agent market and okay, they can. And Trevor may and Okay, there's all this conversation about George bringer. And and then you know the Sandy and Jared Porter. They do an end around and a little fake. And all of a sudden, Yeah. They're deep in the discussions with Linda, and it comes out they get Carrasco too. So like that was a big surprise from that side of it. Um, you know, when you look at the what they gave up, Jesus. I thought it was a really, really good deal for them. They have depth in their model leagues with kid Mauricio, other plays shortstop, you know, down the road or to flip over a second base at some point. Hopefully, the Mets are gonna sign them door long term. So I think it kind of checked all those boxes. I thought a lot better than the last big deal. Uh, you know, Cano on dead Wendy is. In fact, I thought this trade Jody, you go back a little bit in time, But when I was in the front office when we traded for PS, I felt it had Ah lot of similarities in that in that regard. That would be a pretty good deal. If that's the way it worked out for the Mets. You mentioned that you believe that they can or will get him signed. Do you think that signing will get done before the year starts as the season plays out? You think you're gonna have to wait till the end of the year? And then he's gonna actually taste free agency. But Theo Nurcan, right? A very big check, And I don't expect this experience in New York to be a bad one. If they're going to get him inked for long term when you take its most likely to happen. Well, I think I'd be very surprised if they didn't reach out to him soon. Now I don't know how quickly this would go. But it's pretty pretty clear where you have to be to sign this guy in my mind. Machado was, you know, 12 years, 300 think it was attended 300 same age, But he was a free agent, you know s so you might be able to get him for a little under there. Some people would argue above that. You know, that was two years ago. But I think that's the range right. And so you kind of the important thing here is you have a target where where it should be, And you know he's going to try to ask for more. And I think in this circumstances environment, um you know, it's going to be hard to be asking for Mookie Betts money he can, but I don't think that's it. I think there's a lot of As you know, when we talked about good lot of good free agent shortstop next year, Right Trevor Story and Corey Seager and Carlos Correa Hobby Baez like that those air topsy along with indoor so so there'd be a lot of musical chairs going on a lot of uncertainty around that. You might think this is almost perfect fit for him. And so I would be surprised if they weren't able to do a deal. Let's say by opening day, give me the core asco aspect of this deal when he's healthy, and that's a big if, because he's had a lot of injuries over the course of his career, including last year s. So you can't say that in a vacuum, assuming his health because he just has been a often did player, but for the purposes of this conversation If he gets his 20 high 20 starts 26 27 starts for the Mets over the course of the year. I don't think his contract is outrageous for his talent level. Um, what they do have two more years Commitment. How big A pill was that for the Mets to swallow hard today? Not even looking as a pill they had to swallow. No, I think they looked at it as a really good addition. I think Listen, Carrasco had to 90 year a that this past year was comeback Player of the year coming off of the key MIA there that he had the year before in 2019, so You know when you look at him, you know, the stuff is still there didn't look like there's much of a drop off. Uh so I view it as a positive, You know? No, Jim Bone, and I did our show today and you know, he thought he was the number two starter Hedda Stroman. I think Mixed in Stroman, depending out how well they're pitching. Could you know Russell? That number two starter spot, you know, But so I think that's the range that they are now you know, And then and then that kind of bide your time until Syndergaard comes back. A Syndergaard's capable. You know, we always capable of you've never puts together. He's your true number two, but I think that's where he you know, Carrasco kind of fits for me..

"This great country the old globe welcome yesterday I was the vice president I'd states where America's pastime be back in the vice president neither confirm nor deny the rumor that is everywhere the July one is opening day and that spring training is going to resume in June but the guy who knows everything inside the beltway is Chuck Todd if I had access to his tax I would know what was going on but I'm gonna ask you point blank check first I hope you're well second do we get baseball bat what do you hear it well it's funny I have a I have a doubt friend in one of the I want to help the team and that's what they're being hold right now June tenth this spring training eventually some form of it in an attempt at a July one open with a tentative plan that if your CD if you plan a city with an outbreak maybe you go to your spring training facility you know they're they're trying to figure that out because you know it's not going to be clear which cities are safe and July and which ones aren't and like that but I'll be honest with you this same friend of mine is also pessimistic that they just can get thirty clubs on the same page I mean that's the problem here is they just they just don't know if they can Pablo back together in that match that you know what you're saying no college football you know you've got some ideas and teams that can play but the real fear is how do you how do you do that the national scheduling a national one it's pretty clear there's going to be some places that are going to be in a different spot right whether it's temporary whatever it is and that you know just that's the problem here is that predict where right are you geographic issue is it going to be with their without fans to the best of your your buys right now without fans yeah I think that's the I think that the liability issue there right now you know the career thing yeah I think I think the Kree experimented making is gonna make leak more comfortable traps yeah I agree and I I think they'll make enough revenue to pay something I don't know what the collective bargaining agreement stipulates that no one ever anticipated this but it seems to me some revenue from from broadcasts is better than no revenue and you realize you know and just the same way every business runs the make look this is going to cost them salary increases not this year but it's going to be next year the year after because all the leagues run out revenue contributes to the tower captain next year you know all those things so other revenues are gonna shrink dramatically and salaries but I come down dramatically in the next few years if the future the people last sports question check out the people who signed long term deals when they had two or three years of free agency they looked pretty smart right now verses those and thinking of Frankie Lynn door in Cleveland he could still do it he's young he has signed a ten year deal so that the check keeps coming right you know it's funny I I was actually being at a friend of mine getting advice on contract employment nothing to do with sports but literally had you know this was going to be the big moment and you know now that it and the debate is do you do a one do you go one year and roll the dice and see if the economic things are different Mrs yeah I guess that's about it ports world but it's an interesting and exports at the make of some of those guys who make the same decision do I just signed a one year deal at a discount right now and see what the environment looks like and hope that I could get a help your multi year deal next year of course before the war right again there are no in in February after a month ago I signed an eight year extension with sales people thought I was nuts and I said you know I'm sixty four years old I just want to do this for eight more years and then I can call you go now you certainly certainly not doubt Chuck let's talk about the biggest deal ever this phase for now I've talked to cotton Portman I got Rubio on today crews Grassley everybody says they have to have liability protection every business in America yours mine everybody needs it but you know the Democrats I have got a lot of money riding on this from the trial bar what do they do well I think I still think this is a I I personally think that all the liabilities being slightly overhyped but I I get that it's if it's something that that sort of there there's there's donors on both sides of the aisle to care a lot about this so what animates this debate more than it should be that set the question is I think everybody agrees there has to be someone from liability on that the question is what do you draw the line right that the debate like a look look at the meat packing guide they forced the defense production act in both right why did they do it they basically panic from liability yep and from their point of view you get why they did it in that moment right we I'm not gonna sit here make a moral judgment in any of this right now right they made a business decision they panic they went all my god without breaks everywhere consolidation turned out to be a nightmare we're in trouble we got to get the you know we've got to be ordered to open so that where if we got to be said that the government forcing us to put lives at risk right so that in that sense that the government with the liability but how do you incentivize the meat packing industry to make sure they're they're having going to have the most safe and secure environment that they can't write without so it's like what what is the shield look like that still forces them to be accountable in their state and I think that the I think that that look if you want I can come up with the answer there wouldn't be a debate right but that to me is what everybody's going to feel good about right which is you're protecting them from indiscriminate lawsuits but you're in your but they have an incentive to keep things clean and safe as possible do I do think there's a path there it's called reckless disregard of best practices I just think it needs to be preempted in the federal courts so we don't have fifty different systems work on this check let me turn to when I started talk right now everything we're doing and sadly the way this way and the way the federal government is designed if everything is fifty one solutions right now and I'm going to regret this at that will not work for tort reform I just want but let me turn to Hong Kong last area Jimmy Lyon is a billionaire the probably the most courageous man in the world been arrested twice she gin paying hates him it comes on the radio show to talk about free speech in Hong Kong anything on time I think China is going to drive this election in a lot of ways what do you think I don't know I mean I think it's the I think the trump campaign has to I think right now they'd be the only path to reelection it deflect blame it that this is China's problem and you can't trust the Democrats to be tough and on track like that it you can sort of see what the president's reelection message or at least if if Pompey over running things that would definitely be I think every election that would put you see a sort of where the rhetoric is going there I think it's where a lot of Senate Republicans are more comfortable like you know Mr president wants to support you when I gonna support your decision making but will support your philosophy in China so it is a way to unite the party to will say I don't know how you trump the pandemic and the economic every city I think China is a part of it I think if it is a big a part if it is the driver of this campaign then that's the path for reelection to trial I'm just not convinced okay I well I I I am leaning that way but I'm also wondering I'm trying to think what does the vice president's campaign vice president Joe Biden do to counter that and thus far I haven't seen any messaging on China Chuck Todd I I don't think I I don't know that they have a bad winter a good one I just don't think they've gotten there yet have you noticed the same absence of the strategy well I think there is this there is this sense that there's look beating up on China it's always good politics in the Midwest Obama did economic turnaround me into that no you're right you're right in twelve and it and it helped Obama Kerry Iowa while the whole you know basically the only doctor and so we know you know he has to have a fairly potent hop on China's stance but I you know the question is do you follow trump down that I'm trying to or do you stick to a domestic economic recovery math class right that could be the alternative with a focus on me I will say that they got a they got a beat they got to be proactive somewhere here and on economic recovery plan I think it's good it is it looks like he needs to be the strongest Democrat on China I really don't know Nolan springs to mind and thinking to Chris Brown I think sure brown Chris Murphy are pretty both Americans we can be back away from the woman on the ticket thank Kenny back away from the woman on the ticket nope I don't know who who is that on top of any circumstance probably well it you know it in some ways it's warm you can make an argument there mean you know the the other thing that because that there's tension with midwestern senators and I'm beginning to close our ears at the SAG deals are important to the midwestern senators in China right so there's there's always that tension a little bit on that front for some of them because the ag community really yeah well at least until recently has been much you know he wanted kind of a market that has all of those midwestern senators regardless of party has been soft on China on some of those issues that's the last thing any stock maybe just one up in a coma charge Chuck Todd Carreon good to talk to my friend followed Chuck Todd C. M. on Sunday because if it's Sunday it's meet the press don't go anywhere America be right back on the New York show fifteen two three summer camps click on the banner reaching here dot com if and when news happens anywhere you'll hear it here first first one Hewitt continues hi.

"What we talked about earlier today about the golf course is opening on Monday yeah and then we want to put a digression a San Francisco golf in that city golf and then Gleneagles Clancy he wouldn't my archive and found the piece I wrote about just read that yeah what do you think about it the other body well I mean listen like a particular leaf at the certain dispensaries on Market Street what shows you like how the times have changed first of all I forgotten to that the the keys that they his surfer caddy see we're talking about the city golf championship people just tuning in yeah his golf courses are open again on Monday were excited and and how I was saying you gotta go to Gleneagles it's out in and out it did start another controversy was arrested visits valley oops came at me and I deflected and with great sturdiness Polly like jail why is it like we don't track him for saying Dolo and stuff and yeah you know I got this valley from got a guy who grew up in this valley Bob sergeant well sort of **** shattered because of Israeli settlement is now in the seventies right he told me all those things like maybe it's one of those things may become semi join in on this but I mean some people feel like maybe you can only save his valley if you are from V. is valid I think surge okay he's saying that me saying his alley opens your hips and pack I'm saying nobody who lives in Pacific heights opened before the year two thousand said pac heights and I encourage my answers okay I got a little the same package you're here you're not allowed not allowed yeah just put a blockade to the city stay out like out I like no not not allowed okay yeah anyway the Gleneagles is over and visit Tassie own valley I understand and there was a a golfer from there were blue jeans ponytails and I and I was fascinated he's gonna pick it gets a guy wearing a Pine Valley at pine does what most exclusive golf courses in the world so it's definitely a culture of clashes of clams a class warfare probably probably and I was fascinated because the guys caddy was a total Sir first a collie type yeah and I'd forgotten the detail that I wrote that little piece I sent you he was fascinated by me as I can do you are you are you reporter yeah yeah as I said we write down and I would have to like shows like are you taking notes to the guy like hunter Thompson like gonzo style usually spend a week living with their student like let you know so I wrote with his caddy a shaggy haired blonde Jenner seem to tumble of difficulties VW bus from fast times at Ridgemont high took a particular interest in my notebook and journalism in general asking questions about the free press in surf laden accents yeah that's awesome yeah so anyway there's a guy by the way copes we're talking during the break too as I digress one more time just to close a circle we're talking about Andy from the office saying in closer to find by indigo girls and I was talking during the break T. about how season three is rife with all sorts of comedy of music and he he adds his desk last night made me laugh if the office is very quiet people are looking into it he starts ripping off an archipelago in of the the cranberries zombie number I don't know the songs reference by the late great to learn to read and took her life in the last year or so said yeah that sucks that story anyway okay back to the real stuff here Mike Florio pro football talk came on earlier this morning and I'm just sitting here I feel like I feel like we as a show we don't engage in all the sports radio gossip like we should you know like blank Kroll which is three thousand percent we did more of like the Aaron Rodgers to the Niners in twenty twenty one where is you and I poly we'd rather you know talk about you know I don't know sweetly covers right yeah it's kind of the war eternal war we have with our program directors we talk about the Rogers to the Niners rumors or whether or not it's it's acceptable to save his valley right exactly right I go over to the visit Aly Khan yeah and you don't see me with hammer member hammers to hit us with the same stuff which is kind of an eternal war you know I mean listen we we can't Kerry Howard stern's dirty jock but it was the same thing he talked about with his program directors right years right yeah so let's honor our program directors wishes and talk about the rumors of Aaron Rodgers to the Niners in twenty twenty one because it's out there and I couldn't believe it when I read it I couldn't believe it I was like Jimmy G. gets out of that the Tom Brady woods and plunges right back into the forest here is out there conquer our give us some some fuel I know great Papa tried to dismiss if they talk about the contracts but Brian Witte B. C. sports marea shot out to a Bruin wrote about how after this year it makes sense celery cap wise many other numbers to back it up several you know you look at his contract one point Jimmy G. hi did Bonnie still is that's a true story it was after the five in in August yeah December this folly yeah I did a practice in August do you check in this kind of practice choose your guys he's one of the greatest to ever play the game right right I'm not talking about dumping everything here is on the decline though or you think you think you look at your future though do you think is our future while we let Mike Florio take the rumor mill from here how about that take it away absolutely absolutely why wouldn't you and if you're forty Niners fan why would you at least want to entertain that look people reacted very violently at times to the idea that the forty Niners should consider Tom Brady has a potential upgrade your bigger Oppel normally they did normal they decide to stick with your are out with rob Lowe but you know after this year all bets are off potentially and maybe Aaron Rodgers is regarded as a guy here let's see the forty Niners get close again and the one thing that's missing is the quarterback you could make the big throwing the big spot like we saw or didn't see the case may be when Emmanuel Sanders was open on that play from the forty nine yard line but a hundred seconds left in the Super Bowl Rogers make that throw Tom Brady makes that throw there's a handful of guys that make that throw and Jimmy G. had a chance to make that throne he didn't so I think that's going to continue to linger with Thailand have Jimmy G. shows that he can make that kind of throw so at this point I think you keep all options open well I mean you know setting aside the heart I think there's too much focus on that throw because it wasn't the easiest honestly the world by the way I'm not so sure Brady and all they make that throw he wasn't as open as people make him out to be I think the DB's are close in on that I think my biggest complaint was that on he didn't go to for a check down to set up a fourth and short you know I mean the the in in we saw member Baldinger put out that video of all the guys he missed that he didn't see they were open in less I don't I'm not trying to turn this into a gym is you best I love him I'm just saying you know you know do you know let's take a good look at that Alyas Wyler I don't hear a lot of love coming from over there and I don't I don't tell you for as much as we emerge but heads man I I've the idea of Aaron Rodgers is intriguing just listen I'm being honest here I mean if you're to treat Rodgers and Brady are two of the greatest I've ever outside of Montana I mean you go Montana Elway Marino Rodgers Brady I like the five greatest I've ever said anything is arguing that but or would we really want there then our future who's going to be like what is wrong with the climate you get it for only two or three years and then you have to go get a guy you know so listen I think I said it's five four percent chance it's gonna happen but four is bigger than zero I feel like I've I've you know I've I've upset Polly especially Hey I'm on the doorstep of such a good vibe it's what I want to get you in because no one else yeah no one I got a quarterback I I did not have a quarterback I've I'm I'm good to go one one year under his belt one full season as well eight one sees others felt he's played this many super bowls as Aaron Rodgers rear that's all I don't know rific injury yeah how many what how many many even when it's already so get a blade to we're gonna blame this is what I lost and I don't know he's he's declining for either through forty four interceptions all of last season they don't go to the NFC championship without R. Rogers they were worse you will say this again I can't we got to go through this again but we're still will leave I'm saying I'm still sitting here saying why are we even asking Jimmy Garoppolo's to have to make that throw why are we putting him in a position where the entire Superbowl hinges on a highly highly challenging deep downfield pass of the game on the line why weren't we just simply running the ball the two series prior to that burning the clock marching down the field maybe tack on another three calls made to kick the field goal I ask that that's my question I want to know why we even put ourselves in that position where that like that's all we're talking about is one throw if somebody calls and asks about Aaron Rodgers you have to listen it's like the angels calling and saying are you interested in Mike trout or at least in Collins and you guys think about you guys like Frankie Lynn door I don't listen at some point all right yes I love Jimmy G. yes probably I do.

"Yours hope you're safe and healthy and mentally just you know maintaining I mean this is where most people are right now is you understand what's in front of us so you've got your face mask you're not going out very much staying at home but it's just the you know mentally is a really difficult so staying productive having some exercise and days like today get not get some sunshine well all that stuff should help can keep your by the rhythms in order so once and go to bed you can get some good rest and then wake up and hopefully have a decent day tomorrow we're doing our best we know we really limited the staffer sales people working from home office staff working from home even sports director Matt McCauley Jonny hill working from home as well so we're skeleton crew in the radio station it's great right now jump on the live line we welcome Dr summit Shaw from premier allergy and asthma you're like a lot other people trying to figure out ways to keep life moving forward but with all the social distancing so as I understand it Dr you're working with allergy patients asthma patients but you're doing that telemedicine is that right that's right we decided especially given you know the unprecedented time right now that we want to do our part and flatten the curve so we closed all our physical offices so we're no longer doing new creation appointments go follow up you know the allergy shots we can work together because we are providing telemedicine services from home where we could still see patients who are suffering with allergies and asthma might get them evaluated and get them treated and get the medicine that they might need you know during this tough time yeah that's great as I understand it this month April and may got to be the worst months for allergy sufferers yeah we have our spring allergy season here in central Ohio so we live in your little high valley so tree pollens are really starting right now you know if you're outside he's thirteen DEC water he's groggy kind of stepped up that's probably you know the tree pollens that are are in the air right now so it is a walk me through the the typical teleconference appointment you say you're not doing shots which I'm sure some people would want but other medicines you know you can call the pharmacy and make that available that's that's got to be a real help for people yes we are actually old we have electronic medical records with integrated through that so it's just the you know the same is coming into the office except we have a a secret service with arguments or we could talk to the patient see the patient get them evaluated and that you'll get a treatment plan certainly allergy immunotherapy or allergy shots are the best treatment for patients who have severe symptoms of allergies or asthma but right now we're putting that off yeah growing that people are suffering it's you know it's going home during their five doing their part to flatten the curve we figured this was the best this is the best solution in fact this month in the month of April going to people are in this tough situation and you know even maybe financially but in a tough spot to give back the community we're offering all our telemedicine appointments at absolutely no charge what is the weather yes when are you concerned they said doesn't matter what insurance coverage you have we're just you know we really felt like this was the right thing to do to get back to the community yeah well and it's smart to because you know what we know about the corona virus from patients that have gone before is that people that are compromised I have a much harder time with that I would imagine an asthma patient is absolutely fits in that category so you'll you know you would think that right now a piece of the early data from the CDC in from the quality I am a college as was actually not a risk factor okay so yes so that's that's you know because there's a we're learning more and more about their activities right about public ninety so I would say boaters here but as I look at some of the study to look at the recommendations right now they're not missing and without one you know that's an increase risk factor however I can tell you that cough and shortness of breath are you the primary symptoms that basically covered nineteen percent west and north of the with as well as well so you know it's absolutely crucial to get your asthma under control because you want to be able to differentiate Hey this might have been acting up or is this you know press possibly cope with nineteen runs so well then for folks that want to take advantage of your generation resolver what's the best way to get a hold of you they would just call the office phone number six one four three two eight nine ninety seven will go on the web request appointment through that you're just like you come in the office you call or call our office and they'll get you one of our board certified alors absolutely brilliant doctor someone shot thanks for the visit and the information this morning on news radio six ten WTVN sports so half hour ago we're chatted up with play by play man for the Indians Tom Hamilton great guy tell ya been doing at such a high level for such a long time well I I'm curious your thoughts on what he said about baseball's a proposal playing all the games out in in Arizona kind of line up with what you thought a little different yeah I think there's a lot of hurdles I I was interested in his opinion because I read the story much like our is baseball players are they really going to go for this and this Tom said he wonders if it's a trial balloon to see how they react and everybody reacts and I get it I mean I've got people on Twitter saying you had you can do it a hundred games season tickets and I mean if you read the story what they're asking it's I mean the as Tom said you're playing games in Arizona and throughout the course of the summer that is going to be ridiculously hot you've got you know multiple games in the same stadium the the plan they're talking about because there's only so many number stadiums I I just I don't know that they're asking the players we do need to get into this with Tom but they're asking the players to be completely isolated from their families the only time they're allowed out is to go to the ballpark play game and then go back it's just weird it's and I understand that the weary in weird times and you have to do all these precautions I just and maybe baseball players will want to do it because they want to play they want to get paid but it just seems like there's a lot of logistical hurdles as Tom said that for this plan to come off but we'll see maybe it will I don't know and into you know like he said you know maybe beef it up to thirty man roster because yeah I'm not going to have the arms for pitching and all that to to really get to the level you're used to my question is if let's say three of your thirty guys don't want to do it twenty seven do I mean do the three guys are they the hammer is it the the end of the majority wins I mean how do they how do they figure out like if you just like look I don't want to be away from my family and basically be sequestered to a hotel room or the ball park for who knows how long I'm not sure I want to do that if you got guys that doing guys that don't how do they figure out what to do it depends who the three hours old thirty three guys at the end of the bench they'll find three other guys if they're that there might throw you know Frankie Lynn door and you know you did superstar players yeah that's a problem okay so it's it's if you get the big names and everybody like that to fall line I mean the I think they can make it happen but I don't know that you're going to get the but we'll see yeah your start to get a sense of where people's passion is I mean is it might pass out of family is my passion the game you know imagine the single guy maybe wants to play were married guy with kids maybe doesn't I don't I don't know that but you're right there's a lot of extenuating circumstance that really can have impact on that decision yeah and also I mean to me trump spring training in mid may and starting at the beginning of June this with where we are I mean you know I think we're doing better and is here I hope you had a B. act and on the U. K. we're doing what we have to keep keep it up but that seems still seems awfully ambitious for where we are right now the starting to play baseball and may may we we had that idea earlier in the week guy thought Hey why not start baseball on July the fourth yes so if you make that your target date like Hey Happy Birthday America let's play ball you can you can still get that done and you wouldn't have to start for another month or two so yep yeah we'll see yeah can be fascinating how all of this rules out Major League Baseball NHL NBA Major League Soccer NFL college football college football the people that I follow you know the people I talk to and what I see on social media college football seems to be the one that most people are like they can't take that away from me I don't I mean what do you want to so I well anyway actually anywhere but you know you're just like look I I I gotta have something and if the if I get a pic from all the different options that are out there college football's on one I got I have yeah it is crazy scenarios about that about not playing into the fall playing it next year in the spring and hope who knows who knows yeah it's crazy well what he's mantra was to pay it forward and during this covert nineteen pandemic three big names Ohio state athletics are doing just that football coach Ryan day basketball coach Chris Holtmann athletic director gene Smith are teaming up to donate thirty five thousand dollars a month from now until August to the middle while food bank that's a total of a hundred and seventy five thousand Bucks many of you gave during our drive with the food bank that a food bank is still in urgent need right now date star obi Toppin completes a sweep of college basketball's major player of the year awards he wins the wooden award last night top in winning the wooden Naismith Oscar Robinson an eighty P. trophies are among others are we told you last week that Caleb Weston was at least looking to go to the NBA well two more big ten men are following suit Maryland's Jaylon Smith and illinois' Kofi Cockburn was the league's freshman of the.

"Minutes, and we do for the next five hours right up until six where else the fan right here in New York City, and it's going to be jam packed show when you have the reigning champs on the doorstep civilization. Anybody saw this coming in this year is NBA finals will dive into the mastery of Leonard, and he wore rounded Toronto team that is one win away from an NBA championship as we move closer and closer to game five on a Monday night. We'll get to the gritty start out of Stephen Madsen a much needed win for the New York bedside set at night. But we thought with the New York Yankees and folks, you had to understand. That for a team that was basically playing seven hundred baseball since what second or week of the year that sooner or later, there was going to be one of those weeks, where things did not fall perfectly into place for this New York. Yankee team that it was going to be a we that it was going to be a moment where there was some adversity. Dad, it up a couple of losses. They didn't play particularly well, and that is what you have seen here in the report of what five games now against the Toronto Blue Jays and a Cuban Indians, let's call. It is the Yankees have had themselves. A lousy week. The Yankees have had a week in which they have not gotten out starting pitching. The Yankees have been unable to get the time we hit the Yankees have not done enough as a whole offensively. I mean Friday and Saturdays games will basically a microcosm of each other. There were carbon copy the Anki jump out to an early lead. You have the return of Didi gregorious, which is a sudden for so rise. Listen with TD in any of these Yankee players, and we'll get to this in a minute. The idea that you're going to tell me, you're better team without Dini gregorious is the biggest bunch of crap on the planet. I mean, let's just call like we see it as a gamer Dini's guy's gonna want play every day's already fighting Aaron Boone about the idea sitting out on Sunday and he's the hitting machine. He's gonna feel this position. Well, he's going to help this team, a great deal. So you wanna positive from the weekend, it's the fact that Dini is back in. He is back. It looks like with the vengeance, but unfortunately Friday's game and Saturday's game the score early their starter falters, and then the offense basically shuts down for the final six or seven innings. You know what you sell in Saturday's game. Two narratives. What CCC Matthew while up? I was going to be future hall of fame. I didn't key has been an outstanding outstanding member of the New York Yankees. But I think it's very important to understand and realize what feces about the brings to this team. Is there a problem starting feces about the every fifth day? Of course, now the guy's a fine fish star at this stage in his career, he's going to pitch right to a sub for your Ray. CC's eight. Okay. Going out there every fifth day, but you've got on the stand. You're not getting more than five or six innings. This is not a guy's gonna go, particularly deep into games. And when we move into big boy, baseball that when we talk about big games down the stretch and for Yankee team that will be playing in the postseason. What talking about postseason baseball, CC's Tabatha at this stage in his career can no longer be making postseason starts for this team. And I remember coming on the air last year right after the Yankees lost game four of the division series to the Boston Red Sox in. That was my big takeaway. And I kind of went through this like metamorphosis of I didn't want back and then I did want him back. I was okay with the Yankees bringing them back at the end of that. But I have said, over and over again. It's got cannot pitch in a postseason game as far as being a starter because this stuff is not good enough. And if you're gonna put CC against the Lexi's thin, the Minnesota Twins, the Tampa Bay rays. The Boston Red Sox, you name the team in the American League, he's not a guy's got that sort of stuff that'll be able to get you the store that you looking for. So I think her mom cooling off the way that he has Sobat looking the way that he has. It makes it that much cooler for Brian Cashman, and company that they will need to go out and get themselves. A starting pitcher who's not just going to anchor the back into the rotation. No. I've talking about a starting pitcher, who is going to make a difference for this team. Dallas Cowboys that guy. I know I'm going to fight some Yankee fans on that. I know some Yankee fans are going to be telling me, Dallas gyco could have been that stood sorta starting pitcher. I just don't see it. But the Yankees, gotta find that guy, whether it's Madison Bumgarner whether it's talking to the Cleveland Indians, if by some miracle the nationals pushers on trademark and I wouldn't be hitching my wagon to that one. They need that sort of front end starting pitcher to complement, Tanaka to complement, James Paxton to hopefully at some point, compliment Luis Severino and go from there. So that's got to be on the priorities list. And I think it's been pretty obvious watching these two games in Cleveland, the Yankees need that sorta got number two. There is this narrative that is out there that some of you tried to lecture me on that I've heard from some Yankee fans and I just found it comical. I found it laughable, the idea that anyone could suggest that the Yankees would be a better baseball team without Aaron judge without data Gorey's, and without Giancarlo Stanton. Well, I think these two games including one with the way the Yankee offense has just gone ice cold after the second third inning should teach us all a pretty valuable lesson. The idea that the Yankees or better team without that three guys that I mentioned is beyond laughable. It's beyond comical. They need these guys back. And if this losing road trip if this bad stretch over the last four, or five games going to tell you, anything, you know, it's going to Bill. It's going to have those Yankee fans saying, you know, maybe we don't need those gas which was foolish to begin with maybe coming today. Senses having that moment at the eleventh hour, they realize you know what I sounded like a damn fool, and yet the feed those guys back in a lot of because I don't know about you guys, I've sick and tired of watching Kendrick Morales did it pass. But if the Yankees team, I'm going back and forth with Robbie today's we're getting ready for the show. How about that ground ball, and trying to come back and it felt like they will get a couple of guys on base. He hits the ground ball with Frankie Lynn door sees clever tourist feeling third walks over at their base thinks about maybe trying to pick them off at their base. Then proceeds to look at first base and Morales is like a away down. The live I could hold on. Open tryouts at WFAN. And by the way, a majority of the staff is not exactly the fastest group of people in the world. Exactly going to be the footage defeat. You know. They might be countries Morales one on wanted to race. But more importantly, forget about his foot speed. Can't hate. This guy's been a good point throughout his career with the angels with the royals with the Blue Jays. Here's a bit of total stiffen the big leagues. But when it's time it's time I think we will know that when it's time it's time for give him play. Kansas barral. It's no longer serves a purpose on the Yankees. So for those who want to argue with me, well, Giancarlo Stanton, a Kendrick Morales. You're gonna tell me the Yankees, a better off without Giancarlo Stanton watching Kendrick Morales setbacks. Give me a break you gonna tell me you'd rather have Cameron may. But in the lineup of Aaron judge, thank you again, and we all brick owner Brett Corner's been good Yankee. Brett Gardner has had a lot of big hits in that uniform. Brett Gardner is certainly feeling the heat and the double in which he was robbed it led to the sort of outbursts, that garner, actually was lecturing DJ LeMay. You in not doing only ago because of how important DJ LeMay you is this team? He was basically DJ make sure you being careful with a helmet thrown about. We can't lose you important through good. Well, garner gets robbed these in this old for nineteenth streak, and he's lost for good majority of it today. He actually deserved better. I mean a couple of bowls. Right on the screws. But that just goes to show you baseball can be a very cruel and a very harsh game. But the bottom line for brick on, or is this, he's no longer a guy, the Yankee should be relying on to be an everyday player again. It keeps bringing me back to these guys that are on the shelf, the have done a remarkable job in Europe. Since the fact that this is their first losing a week. Despite all the injuries they have had. I think it's a testament to job that Aaron Boone has been able to do. I think it's a testament to the job this Yankee team as a whole has been able to do this was inevitable because over the course of one hundred sixty two games. I'm sorry. You're gonna lose. I don't care who you plan on care. What the schedule may look like there is going to come appointed time we hit the skids a little bit and a great teams. Find a way to nip it in a but leave it in a short term type of fashion and proceed to the next week. That's what you want the Yankees through Sunday. And then going into next week with a take on the Mets. And then they take on the Chicago White Sox. I will be out there Thursday and Friday US cellular field, or Comiskey, or whatever the hell they call them that part these days. Good walk trying to figure that out. But this was inevitable for the Yankees. And I think this losing skid it tells you three things one, the a front end stone in pitcher, not breaking any ground there. I think we all knew that, too. The Yankees need members of the cavalry back. And three seeing the Anki actually lose a couple of games here shoot. Silence. Any notion that some of you may have had that the Yankees there, I say better off without the particular players. Then this, this kid does Giancarlo Stanton comes back in a week actually tastes a little pressure off him. He came back to team that was playing seven fifty baseball that and had a losing week in about seven or eight weeks at Stanton had like one of those two of eighteen weeks like ten strikeouts. He'd be.

"I've seen my. Pathetic baseball team. You know I got the Tampa Bay feeding you know the play by play man was the Tampa Bay feed play by play for the raise Dwayne stats. No. He's all they had to replace. Always, buddy. Kevin burkhart. Yeah. I couldn't believe was raise well, can't be like students engaged the baseball guy. You know, he's doing a Saturday stuff for FOX, and I guess he wants to, you know, get the quinoa, but he wants to get himself involved. God bless you have to do the reggae. And Larry, I hate to tell you this, my friend. Cleveland Indians making fish. That'd be lucky to fly water and in fairness to the Indians when you take Corey kluber. And when you take my cleven out of that rotation it's going to make a big difference head. But that's the issue airy you down there, one up and compare it to what the Minnesota Twins have Minnesota's Ford deeper lineup fall, more explosive, look at the way they just won't mad hor VI. And I mean you wanna talk about a guy shelved, he once was Matt Harvey, who got ten million dollars from the angels, what eighteen? Oh, it's an embarrassment pitch. Larry you'll Minnesota Twins or you're going to be chasing the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota who I picked to win the division this year. I'm feeling pretty good about that. I was surprised I was like cleaning my mine handled for the fourth straight year. But I like the three three run is over. Yeah. And what will be thing for more chernoff, son. The general manager of the Cleveland Indians. Appreciate the call. You fat a team that's been knocking at the door for the last couple of years, but you're a small market team. You're not gonna be able to run your team the same way that other teams can. Well, you can throw crazy money at. Pending free agents like Frankie Lynn door who's a year or two down a lot tremendous. Tremendous dallin. You're going to be able to pay upwards of one hundred eighty two hundred million dollars. That's why when your team the Cleveland Indians you gotta strike, while the is out and you can't say the Indians didn't come close. I mean they were in game seven at a World Series. They had the best team in my opinion twenty seventeen and they got knocked off by a Yankee team that think in a bottle and it can win a game. Yankee Stadium and data Gregoria solve Corey cool burners games that much. Indians are not the same team that you say. But how about Matt Harvey? I mean, you'd think about what he was pitcher. You think about Harvey at the top of his game dominating for the new year bets. Watches. Stephen Strasburg Garrett Cohen said in the broadcast, the only had lost it in New York Mets in that ballpark is when Matt Harvey beat them on a cold Friday night in April. And I remember the city feel crowd Chen, hor vs, better. Feels like ten twelve fifteen years ago. Even though it wasn't that long ago. And it was important time that Harvey was somebody wouldn't trade for Mookie Betts, my trout Bryce off all combined into one. Couple years later. Medical procedures. Trouble off the field designated for salmon. And you have to wonder how much longer until that's going to be his fate with the Anaheim angels with ways pitching. Ain't going to be a major league much longer. Fifty six. This morning. It's JJ after dark, John jastremski with you right here on the fan. Eight seven seven thirty seven sixty six sixty six we'll get to Kemba Walker. And what he's NBA all team status may mean for the summer of twenty nineteen and in the Eastern Conference finals quite the turn of events. And if you had books warriors money, live parlays series prices, and you thought that was money in the Bank think, again, after what you've seen in allies straight games and think about what has transpired here and game five we'll get into the Eastern Conference finals. We got a lot more in the Yankees Mets Chan pack Friday should've JJ after dark and sad here. On.

"Hundred Alex bregman, fourteen to one zero mares fifteen one Carlos Correa. Don't know why he's up there at eighteen the one what are we thinking about? Aol MVP. I think Dave, and I agree here. Alex bregman is my pick for ale MVP sitting at fourteen two one. It's great value. Unfortunately, he's only going to get better. And he could screw around and wind up being the face of baseball. Yeah. I think I think Braguin's in a win it. I wouldn't be surprised Frankie Lynn door at plus two thousand. I mean, we start how deal he's starting on the DL. But it's so early in the pitcher I l yes, he's on the injured list. He's not a pitcher, which is totally different sorting out that early Severino missing a month really hurts for his young. But if Franklin door goes from five hundred and fifty at bats to four hundred ninety eight and still bats three thirty with thirty home runs and thirty stolen bases one hundred and twenty RBI's he can definitely went MVP. And I think it's a pretty good bet there to sprinkle on especially because he is throwing on the I L so because of that, you know, he might not make it. But I think the clear choice they're all there than trout, obviously at the child's gonna bat three twenty three thirty thirty to forty home runs. One hundred RBI is thirty stolen bases. Go glove defense, you know, best player in baseball. That's what he's gonna do. But if it's not him bregman could choice would what are we going to do? If Matt Chapman hits three hundred this year be very afraid for baseball because he'll it three hundred with forty five home runs. He's basically. Chipper Jones reincarnate. Yeah. He's trying to be once against that average up. Point loss of Chapman. I do Chapman forty two one. And then my pick. It's not even like a sprinkle. I'm so in on Jean Carlo as crowd. Jim Collins, Jen, g no, no, Giancarlo Williams. Okay. Well, I was like wait San dude. Jim Carlos Stanton is gonna hit six hundred home runs. If you just like doesn't strike out all the time. Yeah. We'll he's going back to fifty sunny, gray syndrome. Leads the gray syndrome, but the park is just like a wiffle ball ballpark for it is he's too big is to chisel too, handsome, and too charming for me not to pick them plus twenty five I love it. I love those odds. And then like I said sprinkle a little on Chapman. If he was in if Chapman had that year in New York, he might be the cover for MLB this show. He's an Oakland. So nobody even knows he exists. He's at just like, Mike know in those might trout exist either. Which is sad. I know I know former MVP Jose altuve as sitting at twenty five to one JD Martinez who will not win because you the D H, and that will never happen in a very long time until it's universal sitting at thirty two one. Is there any other odds out here that kind of surprise you? I'm surprised to see a guy like George Springer and Andrew Benintendi being having almost the same odds as a guy like no momma czar who couldn't hit his way out of a paper bag. Yeah. I think some of those are pretty like, I don't know Joey Gallo being plus six thousand like is in the same arts. Yeah. You could hit seventy and back to ten. I mean, I'd rather take Bogart's bat in three hundred and hitting twenty through. I'm seeing I'm seeing Rando Grischuk on this list. Can you imagine if Randall Grischuk was the MVP about the first pitcher, Corey kluber Cy Young and MVP? That's but like that's happened recently. Like the fact that J joker show. Yeah..

"Cooper, seen Dallas Mavericks radio network. I've seen his name a lot along with fellow Dallas athlete. Layton, Vander Esch worthy of ten year deals and how about Connor mcdavid. He kind of feels like a slam dunk tomorrow a basketball and Jack Jack Michael's and the Oilers radio network Ted Davis as well on the bucks radio network and Yoenis another one that I've seen a bunch of your tweets and your Facebook post. He's a unique skill set. But also, you can't coach body type you can't coach athleticism more size and his foot work and his skills to go along with that size. It's just a rare combination for me, Anthony Davis. I think I've investing in Anthony Davis a ten year deal. I put my list up on Twitter a law radio, but I'll share it with you. Now, this is. Not a complete list. Okay. So don't be freaking out. I mean, whatever you're gonna freak out anyway. So just freak away Anthony Davis and Donovan Mitchell out of the NBA, those are two guys that I would give tenure deals to Donovan Mitchell has been a find. And I think in Salt Lake you have to lock a guy like that up. Because otherwise if there's a chance he into depart, then it takes away from Saint from Salt Lake's ability to recruit, it's it's not an easy place to get athletes to go to for obvious reasons. And so in a situation where the guy like that a ten year deal can also help you build around him. I go Nathan MacKinnon and Connor mcdavid in the NHL. Nathan McCain is having one heck of a year career year in pretty much every category. If you project the numbers out over the the full season and he's coming off a year in which he had ninety seven points. Pat, Mahomes, I go Quentin Nelson the colts offensive lineman who just played all sixteen games is a major reason why Andrew luck. I was only sacked eighteen times. And then Bradley Chubb, I had to pick a guy that defensive side of the ball. And yes, Aaron Donald and Khalil Mack are phenomenal. But they're also twenty-seven. And so when you're considering the amount of pounding that these guys take in the trenches, I decided to go a little bit younger. We talked about Myles Garrett to I put I put Bradley Chubb in there. And then a major league baseball, Mike, trout and Christian yelich. So this is just a few for our toys ler Tuesday. Eight five five two one two four two two seven eight five five two one two four CBS Dwayne is in Baltimore. Welcome to after hours CBS sports radio. Hey, jamie. You know, the guy I'm talking about is Jackson. Manning NFL history. The team playoff. Okay. The Heisman Trophy? I bet. Ravens David for a place to bury. And then he came in and. Right through the whole thi and you see what happened in the playoff when they long. What do they do real quick? Offense coordinator. Well, it tells me you got to find an OC that has a system that fits your quarterback. And they're they're in is the big problem. And and yes, he was the youngest quarterback ever to start a playoff game in NFL history. And he certainly saved John Harbaugh's job if Harbaugh decides to stay there. We're still kind of waiting on that there's a contract extension. But yeah, he turned around their season halfway through all of that is true. But what's also true is that he's got to be more of a pocket passer because not even Cam Newton with his big body size built like a linebacker can continue to be a dual threat qb. Not in this league. The defenders are too big there too fierce to physical there too fast. And so while it's working now for him to be a run first QB is not a viable long-term plan. Which is why at this point. I wouldn't give him a ten year deal. I need to see more out of his passing game. I. This passing game when the family let him go in the fourth quarter. You know almost. Two and bam. Bam says he did accept the game at that point out of reach. And so you have to put some stock in the fact that the defense is probably not playing as tightly as they were earlier in the game. I mean, the the chargers had that offense pegged. They had a peg. They knew exactly what was going to happen. Exactly how to stop it. And even when they were stuffing the box and even when they were stuffing the run when it mattered. The Baltimore Ravens couldn't come up with an answer. Exactly, right. That's why you need another offense. I mean, you can only coordinate for the guy you've got you can't turn them into something. He's not. I mean, you can't. But you know, just like outline line. I wanna leave the little tweet you. We had a guy on the list that is males coming Indian lavar out on loan from me. Yeah. Because the guys it's coming in protecting. They didn't even put. How you doing over there? The hippy guy. He's gonna move when he's on the move. And he's holding the ball out for anybody to knock away that's on Lamar and he's got to take responsibility for the fumbles as much as the protection helps. He's also got to take responsibility to as an NFL QB Dwayne. Thank you so much phone call. I don't agree with you. But I like your forward thinking it certainly could mean a lot for the ravens moving forward if they can get the right guys around him. Thanks so much for calling eight five five two one two four two two seven. Let's say on our Facebook page. Joseph says does Shawn Watson there's a quarterback again. Sometimes I worry about the pounding that he takes this year. How many times was he sacked? Did. He didn't reach sixty because I'm pretty sure going into the last game of the season. It was fifty something that he'd been sacked. So if you want to look that number up just so we have the final, but Joseph says, the Shawn Watson, Alex bregman Carlos Correa. So this is a Houston fan, which I like Josh on Facebook says Matt Murray from the Pittsburgh. Penguins, Jake soul as well. Let's see Anthony says Jaanus in his opinion. Milwaukee hasn't been able to hold onto MVP caliber players since their existence. Levi's says Luca dot Terry Ronaldo, kunia, Mark, Frankie Lynn door baseball. Because there's not contact. It's a little easier to stomach to be short. Chris says Jeff Skinner and Jack go from the Buffalo Sabres. And then another tweet out. I'm sorry. This is Facebook. Facebook post is Mookie Betts and you've got a ton of answers as well. As on Twitter AOL radio. It's after hours here on CBS sports radio. And Andrew bogusch. Is in studio. I've been waiting for hours to tell you what happened in yoga. I I really believe I need to rethink my encouragement of you going to yoga because I don't think you can handle it. If this happens to you. I don't think you can handle it. Thank you. I hope. No, no. It's it's just you'll understand. I almost couldn't handle it. I nearly got kicked out of yoga because I was laughing my rear end off so yoga's. All quiet, right? We're we're doing. Poses with a strap. So essentially strap kind of goes on the bottom of your feet, and you use it to you know, to stretch ourselves. You otherwise. So there's one particular post she asked us to do where to put the strap on your feet, and then you stretch your feet upwards. But the idea is that you have to your we're laying on her back. So you have to bring your feet down you of lift your rear up a little bit. You know, almost like you're in a curl coming to your chest. And you're putting the strap on your feet and when that happened. Here's what I heard. Okay. The guy on the mat next to be Andrew. It was dead, quiet. And I mean, I'm sure it's an honest thing. Like. I'm on the mat? And I I'm like, I'm like you. Right. I'm like, oh it happens. And I started to think about it. And I almost die laughing. Like, I'm just like you're the one that breaks host silence. No, I didn't. But you know, you ever had those moments where you're you don't think about something else. You are going to absolutely lose it. And so I start thinking about how I'm going to tell my mom what happened in yoga, and my mom. That's not a good idea. Bad idea. I knew when both die. And so I own almost lose at the grid. If the yoga journal. So he didn't say anything. He said nothing. No, one said anything, we just we just can't. Just kept on going. And I thought I don't know what the etiquette is for this. But I just turned into seven year old Amy like, you know, six and seven year olds think Pfizer hysterical grown men due to breed also dangerous, and they feel like this happened often in yoga class is one of the reasons why. I wouldn't wanna be yoga class. This was the first time. But it was so I mean, it couldn't have been a worse time. She wasn't talking. No one was moving. It was just all of a sudden. Poor guy. Bending in ways. He wasn't used to bend. Opened up a passageway supposed to be. But you're no not so much forever. I'm proud of you didn't actually laugh out loud. She didn't looking at me the look on my face. I mean, I was like. The largest grin and just like, you know, when you've got liquid in your mouth, and so it makes a joke and you're about to go. I read it was that it was seven year old. Just walked out. Sure where it came from. I mean, there were seven eight people in there. So you never know it could have been the guy next to him. I maybe just the fact that he was on the mat right next to me. So you knew so I knew because I could tell by the depth perception. So don't go to yoga just just don't. I don't think. I mean, my maturity of Chicago. Now, maybe you'll be that guy. Maybe life goals. Poses that. He's never done before. It was like one of those deals you just gotta have to do the fetal position, but you're on your back. So the rear is. Madness. Locked and loaded. Okay. I feel better now that I've laughed about it. Thank you. Thank you. I appreciate it. I hadn't told anyone else until you and your both. Thank you. Now. Even your mom mom. No, no. I told him. Okay. But in terms of here at work. Saving especially for you. Just don't go to yoga nearby. Be lumpy. Not lean just. I mean that was probably going to happen. Anyway. Now at your reason, not to go. I should have said excuse, you know, should we just ignore? What would you do it? You had assuming you can't ignore. It was you. What would you have done? If I had been you or him if he'd been you who accidentally had the, you know lot I would've never gone back to that class. Because here. I went to a spin class with my wife one time when I left like fifteen minutes. It was awful. What I like felt shameful side. Be like on the bike outside. Like, the main part of all the funny people were going inside the spin class like I wouldn't make icon quitter. You're the quitter. Yeah. It was hard my quads on fire. I kind of feel like partying in a quiet class is worse than quitting. But everybody saw me leave. Okay. Loser. Thanks. Thank you. Good. Girth. Alright it's after hours with Amy Lawrence.
