Okay my other example of kind of a good redundancy where we need them both but they're basically the same is billy irish and olivia rodrigue. Oh which is perfect for this week because right now on the billboard top two hundred the number one album is billy. I wish the number two album is olivia bedroom. And listen. i'm going to go on the record and you can like come at me all you want but i think both their debut albums are maybe the best albums ever made by teenagers. You've got both in either one. Yeah that's true. I think. I i thought they're not over there. Not redundant at all you know. It's it's a stretch. I think it's more. So than i. Than i thought i think especially in terms of the angst out like billy allergies new album. The song happier than ever if like a perfect like comparison to the song happier libya rodriguez and i and i think a liberal address feels like she Subverts your expectation with angst right. Billy irish hits you with it front and then subverts it with a less than eggs right. So it's still there still textual. And i think the thing about her is she is doing what feels very unique. Yeah somebody compared to lana del rey and she was like. Please don't compare me to her. She is perfect. Okay very nice. Who even listening to. i know. Somebody's listening right now. And it's gonna get very upset. But but i like that literature goes like i love taylor swift ampere more an no doubt and that i am and that is what influence and did you know billy. The next year he wins the championship. You've finished seventeenth. What was your thought process? During that time I mean what is the point in time you went to Rick Hendrick and say. Hey I'm still here now And I can say that I didn't do that because Believe me over there for a number of years. Wolf Ninety five and ninety six ninety four. We had a real good year. And then a major shuffle up at at Hendrick. Motorsports major shuffle up and We just We we had a terrible ninety five and I did something that no one else that ever grow their. Did I quit? I quit ninety six. I told him at Watkins Glen. Yeah that I wasn't come back and we still had a year contract. And everything did you really. Oh Yeah Yeah. We signed through ninety seven and So we it wasn't by no means was it because lack of effort. Yeah Rick Mr Henry. I'd love to make that family and then organization But you know I mean. I remember being our meetings and someone say something about budget and he said the budget there is. The budget is there is no budget. Get that Damn car in Victory Lane and we we just had we just had stuff happen but in in ninety five there was some major changes that I didn't necessarily agree with and we wrote them out till till Watkins Glen Ninety six. And then I I do it anymore. And we run second with two laps to go when while we had a problem that day and It JUST RE MR IS I. Think the world that man. Can you've had various injuries? You had your thumb injury. I think working on the truck or injured. You just cut it off. That's not. That's not an injury wreck. He didn't break it to heal. You just got rid of that part of it. Okay well they dare no more you also at one point from what I understand you had John Beret. Yeah that was that was. That was the start of ninety five or six ninety six. That's the biggest bullet we ever dodged. Yes that yeah that thing can be. I had an uncle that Got It and he was paralyzed from the chest down. A lot of it came back but not all. It took several years for it to happen. I just got word. One night. Couldn't walk very good and That's got to stay like that. And I went to Doc petty next day. Whoa to hospital real quick and all kinds of tests and we just got lucky that it that it. That's as far as it went because I've known people that that affects them forever. Do you remember Anderson Tear? Yeah he had when he was nineteen. So so it's it's weird but then when you start talk- people have it's happened to a lot of people. This was evidently during the off season. Or were you competing like this? I was competing. No Sir heppner off seen that Nelson networked on one of them years during Racing season and Buddy Baker House in the Kodiak Kodiak car 'cause they bought Buddy Baker. Who's a weekend break in June? I think this is early nineties and so I was off that we offer week and then had to go run DAYTONA NASCAR. Even think about letting you do it now but they operate. Romanek and I was supposed to run to the first yellow Buddy Baker told you might as well known even by ME UNIFORM. That cannot now that car and he's right by through they told me could go ahead and go on you. Want but Yeah we were pretty luckier injuries. We broke fuel things but nothing ever put us out. You talked about leaving Hendrick motorsports and at that point. You went to draw for Andy Patriot. How did that deal? Come about Andy had asked me earlier in the year about coming up there because he had just taken the team over and had Robert Pressley Grab Forum and asked me about it and Said no one is you come be crew chief at you. Know at the twenty five car and that wasn't an option and got a little aggravated on Saturday at Watkins Glen. I went up to him this before. We broke with two laps to go on Sunday. I went up to him. Saturday says hey. Is that offer still area? So yes okay. Let me get back with your Monday. And you know always obviously been a fan of Andy's but yeah hi I'm Justin Hall from Hope Mills North Carolina but question for Mr Schneider in Nineteen Ninety eight in the twin one twenty five. You're in for the Daytona. Five hundred qualifying You took a really hard hit to the outside while turn to think it was I. I remember you toughen and out. And we're in a bull riders flat jacket for the five hundred and finished fourth. What can you tell me about how tough that day was for you? And the safety aspect of things going forward kind of stuff. They wouldn't let you do more. I broke sternum. That was Thursday. I didn't get in the car Friday. The car we ran was sitting there. Ready to go was car. We ran second in the shootout to mark Martin Week. Four and They put Morgan Shepherd in the car. Indy did to go shake it down Friday and then I said well. What do you want to do? And he said You WanNa Star what I said. Hell no and start a moron damn race. I didn't Saturday more income type practice. You WanNa go out and I said no and then on Saturday afternoon we went out and ran a little bit and a savannah. It's not it's not like it was last week. He so I changed your shocks. 'cause he said that the other shocks would be part on these. It already hurts. So put them other shocks and run the damn thing and We wound up that Senior one and we run fourth and if and butts and all that doesn't make any difference but there's a pitcher senior getting the flag and Bobby Labonte and rusty and myself are all enough pitcher rick mass to his lap car we race back to the Yellow and white senior one if we will have another lap. I'm betting that none of the four of us would have won because Deo could not a-block to saw but dammit he was gonNA try. I'm just betting that none of us. Would we run fourth and it was a it was a great day. I mean that thing got me for about four six weeks I mean it it hurt. How bad did you feel that day in the car I had on a tinge you head orange blue rider things and then we had some arsenal plastic in front of it. You Know Europe and and I stayed in the middle. I got the biggest damn hole. I could run in all day long. I don't even know where we we were just in the race till about fifty. Go so hell. I'm going to have to start trying. And we got up in the group and you know but I was. I was pretty frigging careful. Speaking about remembrance is in daytime. Two thousand one. We know you look into the car. We know spoke to Michael Walter. All this time later do still reflect on to still cross your mind. Oh Yeah yeah he definitely think about. Don't you think well I just miss him? Dale and you know there would be some things that are different in our sport. You know if they all have been around not a lot I would say because my daddy always sell me. That one clown doesn't stop any circus and as you know all of us in the garage area or clowns So you know it. It wouldn't Change everything but it would. It would obviously been a little. Different Day was around So Miss Him Felt so bad for Mike. You know I mean you know not join you first. Race is big or your first race driving for Dale and estate on a five hundred. That's pretty big But I went down. Talk to Him Victor Lane. Just because he thought he needed to. Kinda what was up. Can you there came a point in your career where the result probably weren't what you were looking for and at the same time you're still plugging along doing fifty sixty seventy five short track races. Was there ever a point where you were maybe running cup for your job and short-track Stuff? Is Maybe what you do for fun. Or how did you balance all that out if if you know if you WANNA drive race car and even better net you want someone to pay to drive a race car? That CUT DEALS PRETTY NEAT GIG. So yes it can be. It could be frustrating. But you know there's always Well right up. I quit thirteen driving for Frankie and a good day was twenty second or something but we knew it going in and Oh my gosh. I wound up having some of the most fun I ever had last couple years dry. I'M FRANKIE DUDE. You really yes. Frankie was Heidi his wife was our PR girl Hendro. Sco Car and Frankie was just a pain. Yes but you know Frank Gallo older and they had their first baby. I had a riot driving for Frankie Franken. Heidi we had a lot of fun as big fan of what he was trying to do. There with limited funds just a lot of hard work and build a team and yes it was it was a you know what Dr for a big team and win into your races on your last year would have been great. It didn't work that way so I mean it was great way of finished. I really enjoyed the hell out of it. My name is Chris. Bury and I'm just wondering. What was your favorite team to raise for? And who is your favorite kerchief sound like a cop out but I don't obviously I'm very very loyal to to risk for nine years miss. Lebanon here Andy I mean. I talked Andy All time. Nba Two teams. Not hearing more. Beth Antoni Morgenthaler. Great I was drug got to drive for so many good teams I'm not gonNA say I had. I had a favorite. They were Getting the START. And Mr Levies team was every bit as important as getting hired to run for Rick. Okay say that..

Or they see the dollar signs, I mean, oh care if they ever cheap success. I mean, it's it's interesting. I mean, you had a conversation. A couple of weeks is out in Charlotte. What motivates people when it really comes down to why do people do what they do? Some people do it for money. Some people do it for notoriety like fame and shit. But I think really when it comes down to it has to be a self image in your own mind of the if we're talking context, this is Frankie. Franken ski works hard, and he's wants to be a champion. And as you said, it alluded, that's not, but that's not the connotation that comes off. You know what I mean? That's one good thing about having a platform like this because I mean, while you think you've gotten better with the media, I wouldn't say like, I think where you're at right now, it's not a question that probably it's asked if you a whole ton like I want. I wanna say this, I've gotten better with the media. I've also think I'm at the point where I've outsmarted the media. Let's dive. That's all right. How. Explain that to walk through that. I think the media at this point is so used to ask questions that people in people giving routine answers that they don't really necessarily dive into to people who could explain more.
