"Veterans Affairs Agency. Frank Beckmann Show News, Talk 7 60 wjr and welcome back into the Frank Pickman show. Our number two kicks off with a special guest, the Oakland County prosecutor who has been busy at work. On investigation that lasted for months, says resulted in a couple of the major arrests and she is Karen McDonald is the prosecutor. She is really, really trying to crack down. On the whole human trafficking story and the crimes being committed through that seven felony charges were filed against to Macomb County residents who were picked up in Detroit. They were running their human trafficking ring, apparently in Oakland County, though, and S O joining us now, Karen McDonald on the other end of our line, a long way to get to it. But you've been doing a lot of work, and it just deserves a lot of a lot of publicity. I'll be honest with you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Yes, it's been a busy 30 30 days of my administration on and the recent investigation in charges Are just one of the things that we've been focused on. Sure. Well, you have the two people who were arrested in Detroit, but we're apparently running their their human trafficking ring. Is that the correct way to put it out of Madison Heights? That's correct. Uh, you know, I think there's a lot of publicity and information out there about human trafficking, but I still think there's a misconception. In the public about what it actually is. People tend to think human trafficking is, you know young women or Children and some sort of bondage situation. And in fact, it's It's a lot more nuanced than that. What we have are Predators. Really seeking out young young women, sometimes Children, young Children and who are vulnerable who are coming from home? Maybe that Um, were abusive or neglectful. And, uh, Supporting these young women, and as a result of that, they are usually, um, given some sort of Drug so that so they have a substance abuse issue. They don't have any sort of household or stable support system, and they begin to rely on these traffickers describe this so insidious. I can't even imagine someone you know, forcing young girls into doing that, you know, but we've got people that are out there for the money. That's what it's all about The green It is and the look. You know, I I've been involved. You know, I've been protecting Children for years and years and years in my professional capacity, this type of crime is perhaps The most difficult to investigate and the most difficult to prosecute. Because when you what we find is when officers do the good work of investigating and finding finding these victims. A muster under the age of 16, which is the age of consent. It's very difficult because they'll say, Well, this is consensual. Um, and what you find is they are often threatened with physical force if they don't say that. And even more frightening for these young women, they are threatened with a lot goes. Any kind of support. So if that trafficker who is at that point, the only person that they can look to for any kind of financial support any kind of protection So if she doesn't do what she's required to do all of that is lost. Terry. How did they find the girls or women? There's a lot of investigative tools that Specifically in this case. We really don't want to make public because the last thing we want to do is make it harder for our officers and investigators. Um, but you know, a lot of the Victims are accident. A crime will be taking place. Ah, violent crime will be taking place in a hotel and a motel and police are called and realized that the situation is much different than they thought. Um You know, other times these officers are finding this going on on, you know, Internet what used to be back pages. Now, you know these sites evolve and change, but it's going on in the Internet. So Um it's not easy. It's just not easy. It Z very difficult to investigate, and that's why we're really proud of being the investigation in this case. And why? When I took office, I think we have a dedicated drug unit. And instead of now a drug unit. We have a trafficking unit and we are focusing on Narcotics crimes that are linked to violent crimes and overlap between human trafficking in narcotics. Well, and I just want to make clear you're you're not ignoring the other offenses you that you're still going to prosecute those? It's just they are not at the forefront of big investigations like this. No, certainly not. However, uh, drug units and prosecutors offices across the country are changing because of the new marijuana laws. So There's less to prosecute in the more traditional way that drug unit's function. Um so my focus, which I campaigned on is focusing on Sirius. Crime and You know? The trafficking of narcotics is a serious crime, particularly when it is overlapped with violent crimes. So you you start with the human trafficking and I just can't can't say enough about what you're doing there. I think it's wonderful and Don't think anybody would argue. This is this is about most importance when people are taking young Children and turning them into drug using drug addicted prostitute, basically, and that's just right. And you know traditionally what would happen and they would know. Prosecute, be, uh, the young woman who is engaged in it for prostitution that that is not the answer to solve this problem. Nobody Essentially puts themselves in that situation. If they're in that situation, they feel like they have no other choice. So we want to go after the people who are making money from the on. I just want to mention one other thing. Michigan has one of the highest rates of human trafficking in the country. And we have it right here in Oakland County, and not just one community. Many, many communities so You know, That's a good question. Um All right. I think the way to go about this is to go to the stores of why our kids put in this situation. And if we can identify Abusive or neglectful households or kids or parents that needs services who are in danger on bake those homes. More stable. Um, I think we're going toe see less less Children. After this, There won't be in this situation. But it Zen absolute different way of looking at what a prosecutor's office does. But my background, you know, I'm a former family court judge and I presided over the child abuse and neglect docket and so many of those kids who we removed from household End up in situations like this, or they end up in a zone adult incarcerated, So it's really just turn to stand back and look at. Okay. What have we been doing? And is it working? And the answer is Not well enough. So I am looking at this from Of fresh approach. Um, really try to focus on Crimes that are serious crimes and also trying to get to the root of the problem. So we don't have these young women in such a vulnerable positions that they have no other choice. Well, listen, I congratulate you on what you're doing. And I think Brooks Patterson would be very proud of you. Karen MacDonald, e Hope So I hope the county is I hope the county is we're working hard. Well, thank you so very much, and we'll keep updating everyone on what you're doing with with your participation. Thank you. Into the Oakland County prosecutor Karen MacDonald, here on the Frank Beckmann showed congrats to her. I'm getting.

"Talk 7 60 wjr. I'm off back into the program. Everybody taking your phone calls as many as we can. The rest of the way it 808 590957 and this segment of the show. We're going to start in Rochester Hills. And we're kind of start with the gentleman named Burke and I chuckle when I say that only because I still remember a newsman that I used to work with a long time ago at the radio station. Named Burke Holly. And it was one of the My favorite names of all time at the radio station was his real name Burke Holly WJR news, and he had one of those distinctive deliveries to So Burke in Rochester Hills is on the line. It's not Burke. Holly, is it? No, it's not. I am not. I've got a son named Burke and a grandson named Burke. So there's lots of us. Um, I want to thank you again, Frank. Because you're a great host on the golf course and off You're too nice. Thank you so much. You're gonna be missed. The reason I'm calling is because the media major media is not going to cover what you're fine program shows about global warming, and that's my reason for calling. I called the FCC. Then I looked on their site and the course the Federal Communications Commission is supposed to be the number one policeman on their networks. They're encouraging the highest and best use of the spectrum. Domestically. They claim one of their divisions that consumer and government affairs job is to Ankle, consumer information and education, public safety and homeland security. The major networks are violating it. Why don't they be fined or heaven or license? We boat? Well, you think it's because of who's in charge? Burke. It's really simple and you know if if if they're like minded Allies air are in charge in the government than nobody's going to stand up and and require that to happen. They're they're just going to apparent whatever the people in power are promoting. And and advocating, and they're gonna be safe because of that, because the people are our will agree. How depressing Frank. And then when I see that judicial watch reports that million 1.8 million people are registered voters. But they're not eligible eligible voters, citizens so that Michigan's got 68 counties of people in this category. Who are registered, but they're not voting age citizens. But here's here's. The other thing is that this is why this is why you have certain and it's the left. That's promoting this. Okay. I'm sorry to keep Hammering them, but they're the ones who promoted. They want all these illegals in the country to become legal citizens, not even going through the process that my family did to become citizens coming from Germany back in the 19 fifties. But, you know, they just want to automatically, uh, state. These people are citizens who come here illegally and give them full benefits, full rights that every American citizen has. And that's just For some of us. That's just not right. Just a she and I thank you again and look forward to seeing you with the Golden Eagle or the rest. Chester chop. Oh, so have a good retirement. Right, Burke. I really appreciate it. We'll look forward to seeing you at one of our local restaurants. Indeed. All great places here in our area. Thank you so much. Let's go toe him Traffic Now, Greg, you're on the Frank Pickman show. Good morning. Good morning, Frank. Thank you for taking my call. But congratulations on your retirement will miss you. I also went toe Aswan High School, Did you Congratulations, Um The export while the Osborne nights they were more nights, right, and I got out and 1969 and I had burns from my counselor. Mm. Um, I don't remember my counselor anymore. It's too far back for me to recall all of that. I'm sorry, calling about real idea on your license. Veterans should get that automatically because they know all about us. That's true. I mean, I mean, why Why? Why doesn't the state do that? If you're ah, veteran and honorably discharge, you should get to real idea automatically. But do they ever do they have a record of your service? That was a military member? Great. Yes, I'm I d. They do my life since they got veteran, right, So as long as you've got it there, take the next step. Could you contact the state to measure Secretary of State and find out about that? We'll try to do that. And what? What? Specifically what I have to ask her to do. Well, You know, if you're if you're a veteran and animal discharges get real idea because they know all about us. Mm hmm. All right. Well, we'll follow up on that. Chris's jotting down a note to remind me of that right now, Frank. Um, the veteran's pay extra for the military plates, which is five or 10 bucks. I think we should get there for free. You know, I'm with you on that. I don't understand why you should pay extra for that. You know the paint it takes to put that on there in the stamping that it does on the license plate does not cause that much. I don't believe you take take care of that, too. And also I was a caddy at Franklin Hills Country Club. And I would be honored to be your caddy. Anytime you're too kind, Craig. Thank you so very much. I propose. We just put the clubs on the cart, though, and drive around. All right, Greg. Appreciate it. Thank you. So much for the called Thank you for your service to our country Really do appreciate it. Well, we'll try to follow up with Secretary of State at some point on the issues that you raise Sterling Heights and John, I think you're gonna wrap it up this morning. Good morning. Uh, morning. Frank has a 20 year. Retiree. Uh, here you're gonna have a lot of fun, and you'll never miss it anyway. Thank you. That's the problem that I have is in the cone colony where the the distribution of virus. Uh, the vaccine to seniors instead of one. Markac was done instead of, uh, using a system like the hospitals have where you register. And then they contact you want a when the appointment is available or doing what Mike Duggan did, And he said, 75 over and reducing the size of the group of people that are trying to call in and and get the get an appointment. He did blindly follow with Governor Dead 65 over yet this huge group of people Very trying to get employment. You have 100,000 people calling and you can't get through. I called 300 times here Tuesday morning. You can't get through busy, busy, busy and you can't get through. If you had a smaller group. Then you could more likely get through like Mike Duggan did 75 over. Now He's moved of 70 and over. It's just chaos and you can't get through. It is created a lot of angst among all this older seniors. All right, well, there's as word comes out about that, and And Mark Hackel hears about it. I'm sure he'll take a look at it moving and taking some action. Tonto Dancer your concerns, John. I'm sure you have a good relationship with Mark. So you have to talk to him about that. We'll see if we can appreciate it. Thanks so very much, John. Good luck with it. And to stay well out there on the east side of Macomb County and Sterling Heights. Let's try to sneak in one more real quick. Terry in London, Ontario, on the Frank Beckmann Show. Good morning. Up. We lost Terry. He fell off the line. So John tooling around in his car..

"Other respiratory viruses. We're going to need to keep the vaccinations up. If new strength do come out where the vaccine doesn't protect his much we're going to need to generate a new version of the vaccine just like we do with flu, But it's gonna be simpler now because we know how to make it. He also designed this vaccine so that the areas the antibodies are made against are the areas that are really hard to the virus to change and still function. So we have a little bit more protection. We think with this vaccine then we would with maybe a flu vaccine. Gets down important things, but we're gonna have to be aggressive in the future about maintaining that control. Yeah, Yeah. "Open. 19 is declining. In Michigan, the state's chief health executive doctor Jony, Calle, known reports Cove it is going down, trends are declining, and all areas of the state hospitalizations are also declining percent of tests that are coming back positive is 12.3%. This'd also trending down for the past seven days. All this means that we are cautiously optimistic that there was not a post Thanksgiving surgeon cases. Governor. Wittmer is urging residents to cancel Christmas travel plans and to stay at home and not have others visit them. Michigan confirmed 4730 new covert 19 cases today and 183 more deaths all linked to covert 19. But today's deaths includes 71 identified during a delay. In death record examination. We should get. Attorney General Jocelyn Benson says she'd like to see some new security requirements for voting machines going forward. If the increase the number of security provisions we have in the law, look what other states do We have federal provision that that our need to be complied with. But let's add some additional security provisions in our state law, and I'd love to work with the Legislature on this that any machine that is being used in our election. Passage of meat sees additional security requirement. Secretary of Speed stayed focused, spoke with Frank Beckmann this morning on his show. Health officials warn there would be a surge of new covert cases following Thanksgiving holiday, but it appears it didn't materialize. Infectious disease specialist Dr Matthew Simms tells Beckman he thinks the latest restrictions have help tamp down the number of new cases. I wouldn't say we're overwhelmed yet I would say that we are busy and definitely busy, um Personally, Um, you know, as an infectious disease, doctor, I'm certainly Seymour than the average number of cases right now. Um, and a lot of that coded The first person to get the vaccine in Michigan was a doctor from Spectrum Health, Dr Mark McClelland. It was unbelievably exciting moment, really, for all of us, and and I was Happy Tolo, roll up my sleeve and be the first he tells Frank Pickman. Getting the first shot was an on inspiring experience. "And welcome back into the show. Everybody, let's get to your phone calls now the rest of the way it 808 590957, and we'll start out with Debbie in Oxford. Debbie. Good morning. That's Debbie with us. Hey, I've been trying to get out for other and I'm talking to you. I'm glad you got through. Thank you. Thank you, Um, good jazz and Benton. I really Oh my gosh, I really approve of the job She's doing well, I sense some sarcasm. There. You got it. My boyfriend's birthday's in December the end of the month. He can't get into February to get his license because he can't do it online because he s it'll take a test. So, um, actually, I had to call the Sheriff Department to see what do you do, so I told me what to do. But driving without an expert license is really illegal. So why is the secretary of State Coast all this time? You can get little appointments here and there, but they're not food industry. They're not this. We've got City Hall Center open. We've got libraries open. What is she? Why should trying to hurt the people? You would think that that would be one of the place. You could go because number one. You have very few employees in those secretary of State's office is and number two. You can socially distance there with them behind the counter. And you coming up, Tonto, get a new license or whatever you're doing. You know you you can have so many people come in at one time like they do with, you know, I was on a candy shop yesterday. Getting a gift for somebody. And two people are allowed it all. Wow. How hard is that? Sure. And you can keep up with all those things you required to do by law. We don't get a holiday from those laws. Just because of Kobe doing. No, we don't. And one more thing. I love that lady that called a couple calls back. She was cool. She is me. No, I don't take myself away. But I just want to let you know for I've seen another restaurant close, and this one said permanently closed. So you're doing a great job. Jen's, uh, Gretchen, but you know, Dish. I don't think she really likes the working class. I think she wants the low class that we have to give him this and we had to give him that. We have to get in free care because that's what the people are depending on, But they forget that we're the ones that are going to pay the taxes and keep them going. So this economy's in the whole lot of hurt when they get into the reality is you have you have such a shortage in your state budget right now. Because this is a classic lesson in economy and how it works. If people don't have work, they can't pay taxes. You can't pay for all those public employees. Well, she doesn't have enough money for the state, but she's closing everything. Okay. Thank you. Appreciate it. Take care of really, really like your thoughts on this. And you there. Well, thought out. It is the key. Thank you, Alex and brighten Next up on the Frank Pickman show. Hi, Alex. Hi. How are you feeling? I'm good right now. Thank you very much. Okay. I'll try to keep it brief because I'm just gonna mention three things. And then I'm not gonna take it any further. Okay? The other day you mentioned maybe we shouldn't worry too much about the ICUs. And the average supposedly at this time of year is 85 to 90% full. Okay, hold on. Just a minute. I don't recall saying Don't worry about the ICUs. That's what you said. It wasn't as much of a concern and some people were making of it. Okay. But in what was the context, though, You were talking to somebody about, um, that they were overreacting to the hospital situation. Okay, hospitalizing overcrowded. You mean Yeah, but either way, Okay. If I'm right or wrong, The thing is 85 to 90% capacity is normal at this time of year without called it. So cold. It can easily bring it over 100%. And then we start having to figure out who we're gonna treat and who's going to get sent home. Um, it would be sort of like your sons or daughters. You know, Would you let them drive on tires? That only a 10% of the trip's left, Alex, you sound as if you've got some direct knowledge of this. Well, I keep track. That's a lot like you don't work. You don't work in an ICU anywhere. Just you know, I have a relative who does. And I know somebody who died. Yeah, that's a shame. Now the thing is, um One of the reasons that is being attributed to this increase across the nation and Michigan in cases is Thanksgiving. You know Pete sounds she was saying, don't get together too much because it's kind of result in a surge in it has And it's a shame because of course, people want to celebrate the holiday. You're Alex. But how do you How do you account them for the fact that these numbers have been going up exponentially. Since back in October. Well before, thanks to you, Well, these two ways I would look at it. You know, we will. Maybe the last state to even have a covert case if I recall correctly Then we became the third pretty quickly, and then we started doing some of the mask stuff. You know, this is all over months, right? And we moved The number nine. Now we're increasing again. Take their number is right now. Yeah. So you know, you can look at this and say, Well, look at the ships that are going on. What is our behavior? I mean, I I live in Brighton and in the next town, there's a bar where they put up a sign about liberty, and they don't They've worried. I don't know the status today that people just crowded in no masks or anything. Okay. It's my opinion that that kind of behavior might spread the virus. Okay. It's not like those those clubs in in Lansing that were kept open by our attorney general. As she shut down the others and what our governor was putting these weapons. I don't think anything perfect and I wouldn't want to have her job. No, You know what? You're right. That's that's that's a fair point right there. Yeah. Anyway, people talk about liberty. I'm just moving on real quick and I wasn't alive during World War two despite being 68, But during the time I have read people put up with gas rationing food rationing, blacking out the windows. And this was part of keeping the people as a whole safe because and now we complain about wearing a cloth mask. Okay, Now it's a sports match. There's nothing to be fair. It's not just the cloth masks. Yeah, people upset here. It's it's the other restrictions, closing down restaurants taking away The liquor licenses of these people who were in their living on liquor sales and all these all these harsh policies that we've seen here, and I think it's terrible and I'm actually doing something. Dr. Fauci Red said he was doing which isn't health related. Take my wife and I buy Take out 2 to 3 times a week away and we go to the restaurant, so the restaurant doesn't have to eat the delivery feats..

"Beckmann Show News Talk. 7 60 W. J. R. And we are back on the Frank Pickman shoe taking your phone calls at 808 590957 love interacting with our audience, which always stays on top of the news, Justus we try to do here at Mission Control. We've got Chris Renwick operating out of his home quarters. And back in the studios were happy to have with us once again, Daniel Mason camera Knox doing all of the really hard work camps. They're taking your phone calls. 808 590957. Let's get to those calls Right now. We've got the Chesterfield Township, but you're on the air. Good morning. Taking my call, Frank. My pleasure, sir. You know, I was going to talk about something else, Frank that I heard that young fellow from Richmond, and he sounded pretty discouraged over this election. I don't know about. You sound like a pretty young guy. I've been around for a long time. I'm definitely in the fall of my life. There are always these ups and downs. And My message to that fellow's buck up. Hey, has a long life ahead of him. Don't let this get you down. The election's not over there. They're going to be going to court. And we'll see what happens. Just hold the flag high. Are you like me? And what I don't understand about this is is the pushback from the left on the questions about the ballots. Why would you be upset at an opportunity to prove that this election was indeed fares You've been claiming all along? Why would you not want that confirmed? I don't understand. Frank. I have been around since the 19 fifties and I have never been able to figure out the left. I don't argue with those people. I don't debate with them. There's no point You just have to use common sense and hold to your beliefs. In the end, things seem toe workout. Uh, but that, uh, a young fella. He He really touched a chord. Man. Well, there's a shoulders. I sense a certain helplessness that people are feeling over the election. In those who feel that the vote was not legitimate that there was some As I said earlier, she cannery going out at the polls and, you know, wait, counting and incorrect county and the search of things, but that's that'll be investigated. I just don't know what the what the threshold is for overturning an election that way Because how do you determine, for instance, how many votes were impacted by any improper behaviour? And whether it would make a difference, you know? Well, what'll what'll count is when it's it's all over is what the final determination is, Um, that's the best we can hope for. And I guess I guess what you're also telling me is that is that for some people, it's It's never going to be a lot enough. They'll never believe that it was legit, right? I mean, that's going to continue. Donald Trump, for instance, will go through the rest of his life. Believing that the election was crooked, and that, uh, that votes were planted on behalf of Joe Biden. That's that's not going to change and it takes if you've got that belief going in that you're being cheated by the other side that they are are absolutely just committed to defeating you in any way they can, whether it's legal or not. You know you're going to pursue this to your to your last days, and I don't see any difference here for Donald Trump. In fact, just the opposite. I think this this appeal to voters into Americans about the sanctity of our our election system. I think that's going to continue. And in the end, I think we look at this and say You know what? It was a good thing we should have looked at it. We're going to find some problems and they could be corrected, right? Well, it isn't about one man Frank about the flag exactly where he is about our country. Right? That's exactly right. Mark. Really appreciate. Thank you so much. Let's go, Romeo right now, Frank. You're next on the Frank Beckmann show. Good morning to you, sir. Hey, this election is different. I'm in the fall of my life also, But this election is different because this election is about Iran and North Korea or Russia. And I think we're gonna succeed and they move this country to the green New deal. Limit our energy ability. We're going to lose our military capability, probably within 10 years. That young guy has got a lot of reasons to be concerned. On the other hand, we do have a way to fight back like for me. I'm sick and tired of Detroit, deciding how the state goes all the time. It's a corrupt city Sanctuary City. Most violent city in America. And I'm tired of supporting them. I'm done. I'm done. I'm not. I mean, I have a chair. I've given tens of thousands of knowledge to the city of Detroit. It's charities. They're getting nothing from me this year and going forward. I hope you I hope the Marquis I hope you'll reconsider that, though, because so absolutely not. It's time to. It's time to put our foot down and say You're going to clean this city up. You're going to make your gonna make elections in here legal and honest. Get a third party in there to clean those voter rolls up. And opened the doors when these elections take place. I'm dead. Serious, Frank, you know, stop and think about it. Their policies fail, and then we bailed them out all the time. We bail them out..

"R Way love talking about the news and the stories there and we love Ah, getting right into the meat of the news as well and we're going to be doing that with a member of the White House Corona Virus Task force coming up. Here in the second hour of the show. After the bottom of the hour Bake break. Seema Verma is going to join us from the White House Corona virus Task force and administrator. For the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the CMS and so I'm really looking forward to that right now. Looking forward to your phone calls 808 590957. And I want to go to Alma right now. Chris, you're next up on the Frank Pickman show. Thanks for holding on Morning, Frank morning. This is back to the unfortunate shooting in Philadelphia there. I just I have an idea in my head from watching other forms of You know how the police interact with people? I wish I could have the time to use non lethal force. They do have 111 point, though, when police feel threatened by somebody with a knife, who refuses to put it down, refused to put it away. Refused to follow your orders. You've got reason to think that your life's in danger, agreed. Oh, absolutely. It wasn't nature, but they knew that on the way there was a pro police and I'm pro law enforcement, But the family called an ambulance first. Then the police went there and they know they've been there before. They knew the guy had mental problems, right? So you know, they could have stayed in your car and watch the guy run around in circles for the knife, loaded up a being background in a 12 gauge pump and shot him in the chest and knocked him down because they know that he probably wouldn't drop the knife. And the empty both magazines into him. The guy was perforated like a silver. Yeah, That's what you're saying is we're not giving police enough resource is out there to handle some of these confrontations in a nonlethal way. Well, police up here now Might they have Ah, short barreled pump shotgun right in between the two seats, and they carry the being background. You can knock somebody down. They didn't have to engage in that quick my opinion. You know, All right, let me let me ask you this. What if the person that you're you're trying to subdue has got a regular gun that he is pointing at you are threatening to use against you. That's going to do a lot more damage than bean bags, isn't it? Well, I mean, if you have if the guy would've had a firearm is exactly exactly what this case. Yeah. In this case, he had a knife, which is different, You know, I mean, make it a state away from a make it a backed up, But I'm just saying that there are least there are not lethal means out there that I believe that they had the time to load up a shotgun and dropped the guy what they had set up Emptying both magazines. Okay, Chris, tell me I'm really fascinated by that technology that that you got now, mon the police were taking advantage of the what it sounds like a nonlethal solution using Ah Using regular AA AA guns. Firearms around forever, and they put a hurt on you. There's you know, people have been hit with them when they put a great big bruise on your chest and knock you down. You don't want you don't want to get by one, but it's a nonlethal. 12 gauge round that goes in a pump shotgun. You can drop somebody and it won't kill him. That's that's phenomenal. I'm gonna have to continue following up on that. You know what it's called by any chance he's gonna be in background Being big is little beanbag rounds already. 1100 ft per second. Don't get hit by one by thank you for the call, really appreciate it. Let's go to Let's go to Ah, man who's got a shotgun revolver. I understand that's mark in Livonia. Next up on the Frank Pickman Shohei Mark. Hey, Yeah, I have a 44 magnum, like you know, the dirty Harry gone, and I often wondered if I could get a bird shot for it. And so you go on short round supply. They're the only ones that have them. And it's a number four shot and when I shot it It spreads out like a maybe a 10 ft Circle at 20 ft away, and that is it. It's a virus, it's for environment. Rats, or AH, passed him or whatever. And you know, I have used it for small game. But what do you think of that idea? We just heard about the little beanbag round. Oh, yeah. My my friends are in law enforcement has won. That holds 16 shells. It's a shotgun that hold 16 shelves Unbelievable. And it's for that reason. And the shotguns only like to Israel short And it's made to go into houses without killing people, right? Not nonlethal force. That's what we're talking about. Could I ask you last yesterday? I You know, I was watching the news. And Ah, and it showed on, um, rally in Lansing. And the guy could hardly talk because Ted Nugent was stocked, Thankful Banner. I wish I take like 10 different things so I could hear it couldn't find your own. Only could hear it for like, 30 seconds and ah Not theirs. Got you says man, he is jamming. I wish you could find it on the Internet and play it. All right. I'll tell you what. I'm going to put the crew at work for that right that they're going to find there. Find Ted Nugent performing the national anthem yesterday. I just heard like 30 seconds of it. He was cranking it. All right. I'll tell you what our people back at the station are on that right now, as we speak, rich Lisinski is looking Court and this is the best crew in all of radio, So I'm sure they're going to find it. "And welcome back into the program. Everybody the spot where we always try to keep you the best informed audience and all of radio or phone numbers, 808 590957, and we're going to get to your phone calls here in just a moment, okay? Okay. Um, I just saw this story last night. Perhaps you saw two was was on Fox News, Fox to and every Saturday for the past few weeks of family has stood along. Telegraph This is in Taylor. Proudly waving a trump flag with others, and they say that's always been very peaceful. Well this last Saturday, all that changed from 12 till four each Saturday a group of Trump supporters stand proudly waving flags along telegraph Down River. No, That's not a big deal, right? Well this past Saturday they chose spot in Taylor about 20 minutes into the rally. They got the first sign the tide was turning. Ah, a lady named mission. Where is her first name? I can't find her first name here. Any rate Miss Chanel has talked about what happened was some fellow through a shake at her and it splattered over her lake. She said, quote. So a guy puts up a camera to see if anyone else would throw anything else. Shana was there with her mother and two boys. What happened? Next was caught on camera. All of a sudden, it felt like a brick hit me in the leg. I yelled, went down to the ground and was crying. A water bottle was thrown from a passing car. Get her leg. She said. Just the look on his face when he threw it. Her kids witnessing the whole thing. My face turned so red. I just wanted to go after him, said her son, Leland, She said, it's okay, honey. Their mom thought of all the what? If scenarios. What if it'd hit my son he could have killed concern turned to anger, wanting justice for what was done to her. I got a right to stand there and wave my flag and support Trump just like they have a right to support Biden, she said. Course they get their flag. But Chanel has filed a report with Taylor police and hoping the video leads to charges We shall see. But I just wanted Teo pass that story along because So that's what's happening out there. And these people call that normal behavior when they throw water bottles at people with whom they disagree. Just some stunning stuff that we're witnessing this political year, and it's just been accepted. You know, there's there's no reaction. Do you see any comment from the attorney general's office about this? We're going to get to the bottom of this. No. But if we have anti governor demonstrations of the capital with people acting legally By carrying their weapons which is allowed. It's legal under the law, Miss Nestle And yet, these people along telegraph they they throw water bottles. What do you doing? Where's the attorney General's office? Why are you not standing up for free speech? People can't hold their trump bettors. If they were holding Biden banners, you'd be there, wouldn't you? He'd be saying the president's people are violent. That's what you'd be say. And that is the hypocrisy of the left right there. My friends In a nutshell. That the Dana Nessel is out there trying to pick out these people who are gathering petition signatures to put something before voters. She's so opposed to that. She hates that. Because it's democracy in action. Okay. But she sees that opposition supporters. Opposition party supporters are attacked with water bottles being thrown at them on telegraph by a speeding car. And and we don't hear a peep out of her, not a peep. Are you kidding me? Miss Nessel, You are encouraging violence, Madam. I'm sorry, Fraulein. At any rate. That's that's what you were doing right now. Let's get back to the phones. 808 590957 before we run out of time here, and I take up all the time out the Browns downtown Chip John, you're on the Frank Beckmann show. Good morning. Hey, Frank. Thanks for taking my call. Quick point We went out to eat with my little cousin. She goes the Shu mai in Gibraltar and she started going out a little rant about Trump and my mom goes through. What do you know about Donald Trump? She goes What? We watch the news every morning. So all of us look at each other, and we knew what was up. They watch CNN every morning and have to do a 10 minutes for 10 minutes, and then they have to do a little writing on what they learned on CNN. You know how old How old is she? John Holliman. She 13 30. Indoctrination camp is already starting at shoe mate Middle School in Gibraltar, and your point is Amy Cockney Barrette. Okay, should get a lot of applause. But nobody is talking about her siding with Governor Pritzker, inciting the Jacob in case with force vaccinations. The 1905 case. No one's bringing that up. I wonder why have you heard anything about that? She did side with governor picker in Illinois and pro lock down, lock down. Is bad, You know that. That's the that's the first I I had heard that and it may speak for why it suddenly going to raise some opposition from the right against her and and question question. How she might interpret law. So you know every every little story that pops up as an impact in one way or another on those who cast the ballots, believe me, and if you're noticing it Believe me that in Washington are senators were noticing it too. Thanks. Alright. Really appreciate. Thank you so much down. Let's go to AA Lansing right now. Kevin, you're on the Frank Beckmann show. Good morning. Good morning. How are you doing? I'm good. How are you doing? Oh, not bad out here Playing on the highway. Howard travels these days. I've been out on the road so long. Oh, it just depends on what time of day but it is at least it's not suicidal. Yes. I've been curious about this back to the trump tax thing in the $750. What they need is one of your, uh, fans that it's good tax accountant for out of 16 and 17 form. You'd make $400,000 a year. You're head of the household. You give it all away. And what good public information you ought to get a guesstimate on. What he should have been paying. You would thank you. That's ah, That's a great point. Maybe we should check in with the with one of our local tax experts and find out why the president would pay so little and whether that's unusual or not. It may not be unusual. Quite frankly. Well, I mean, if you give it all away how much you got to pay on it? Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Everything. He's got it. He's got at least defend to dependence that he might be claimed at least his son. May not be as what may not be claiming his wife, but Ah, good tax accountant should be able to simulate this with the public numbers that he can dig up. Yeah, I I would think he could afford some pretty good attorney. Some pretty good tax lawyers, not you. Yeah, but listen, I appreciate the call. Thanks so much and the thanks for raising the issue. We're glad to hear every side of every issue here and You know, the president probably should be well, probably he should be held to account for what he paid in taxes and mother. That was a fair amount based on his income and also, but the important question will be do be do anything wrong and claiming deductions. Because if the deductions were there, and you take advantage of them, and they're legal, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. And you're just doing your duty to yourself in. Ah, paying The legal amount which satisfies your ah your obligation to your neighbors, but also protecting your own income as well. If you follow what I'm saying. Let's hit some more calls in Robin Sterling Heights on the Frank Pickman Show. Hello there, Rob. Hell, Frank. Nice to have you back, Steve, thanks for the beer. Say what I think and you know, brought to it as well as I do. We all know this Unlock Michigan scam is going out is an absolute scam is 100% political, But I'll bet you this, Frank, I bet you will have less fraud, a less bad signatures on that petition..

"Received. In my maiden name, which I haven't been In 50 plus years. So you're getting your getting ballot applications? Are they coming from the state of Michigan? Oh, yes. Oh, yes, it's coming. This particular one came again. I got two from him. Lion o Drink. He's uh, this is the center for voter information. I'm not familiar with something coming from Lansing. What does he want? What does he want in these? He's thinks he's setting in. Hey, wants me to apply again for an absentee valid three times. Three times. I think the second time came from Somewhere else. I I think it was from another request because his name was not thie information. Yeah, So So what I do? Are you going? Are you going to fill them one of them out and send in? Are you going to go to the polls? I called while I'm going to the polls, no matter what, I I'm not voting at peak, but I contacted the city clerk. And I told her about the situation, so she looked it up. And Lo and behold, I am still asking Under my maiden name. Get this. Yeah, I cannot explain how that happened. I'm sure somebody at the clerk's office will be able to do it. But they should get it corrected for you because otherwise there is a danger to people could could use that one identity if if you will and vote. It's the danger is there I can see that. Hey, thank you for the call. I hope you get it straightened out, Ruth and and I'm glad you're going to Ah, to exercise your right to vote on November 3rd. Thank you. Several 1000 people We're here, um, mess gathering and most in person political Events during a presidential election and mass we're not enforced. Um, sort of, like when our governor was marching in the streets of Detroit. You know, people walking around with no mask, no big deal. She didn't have a problem with that. She wasn't calling out the gender arms. What would upset me is that we have football in the headlines of the Of the page one and president Trump coming to Toledo, which I think is a big deal. And that's on page three at the bottom of the page. I didn't even notice it after a skim the paper and my wife pointed out, Keep keep in mind though. You know they're they're following. Ah, An agenda of their own. That they think is most attractive to the people who buy the newspaper. So well, there was a reason for it. Yeah. Lucas Kony's a Democratic center here. "Why won't they let him do that and seek their opportunities and let the players and the parents make their own decisions as to what's best because out of the power five, there are three conferences that are playing football. Exactly and Robert, I've got to tell you there was a time when I probably would have heard your argument said no way in. Heck, you know that we're going to do something like that. It's a different It's a different day and age now, though, and I think I've matured a little bit, thankfully and I I agree with you. I think the the student athletes should be given a choice. If you're not going to play football. I came here with the understanding. I was going to get an education. You were gonna let me play football for this great program, whichever one it was. You're not playing football. Now They are down at Clemson. They are down in Alabama. I want to go down there now. And so I I think you're right that we should change that rule. That's a rule that does not allow players Teo to transfer to another school immediately like that. They'd have to send out a year. I say, Drop that rule right now I'm with you. Thank you. Frank already appreciates call. Thank you so much. Robert. Let's go to Alma and Kris, You are on the Frank Pickman show. Good morning. Good morning, Frank. Pleasure Talk, Tio. I just wanted to make a make a comment that there's been a lot of accolades given the Detroit police chief, which he deserves all of them. But Mayor Duggan without his support. It would be just like Portland. It would just be just like Seattle wouldn't Yes, that's a good point. Why? Why do you think we? Ah, We have not seen that kind of that kind of violence here in Detroit. What your own feeling. Well, I think that it's because of the police chief. But without the support of you know the mayor and people like that he would have his hands tied just like them. Those Please, Chiefs. I think he had the right For you. I just want to throw one more thought out there. And that is simply this that we've come a long way. I think since 1967 in our in our city, I think we We learned some lessons from that to that You don't solve your problems with that kind of violence because Look all those years later, we still had problems. Grievances in the community and so violence did not solve it with riots back then, and I'm not sure that they have solved anything this time around, either. Appreciate the call. Thanks so much. Chris really appreciate your support of the program as well. Let's continue now and go out to nobody. And by the way, Mayor Duggan. Congratulations. I think Chris makes a good point. "No way. Never educated cockroaches. Okay. Hey, I gotta run. I appreciate it. We're losing connection to you there. I'm gonna head out to Sterling Heights now, Robert, you're on the Frank Beckmann show. Good morning. Bring Frankie was that Donald Trump that represents the eighth District of Michigan. Now that I've heard on your radio show, Listen, Slotkin was, you know that's That's one of the first times I have heard a Democrat in ages. That didn't say nasty words about Donald Trump from start to finish in an interview. No, but she voted for impeachment. Hiroshi. She did not count that No, no, I'm not. I'm not saying that she has not taken. Ah, you know a partisan views and and voted in a partisan matter on occasion as well. But what I am saying is it's It's just kind of unusual to hear somebody on the other side like that. Who could go through an entire interview and and not tell us the president has ruined the country, and we're never going to recover right? And let's not forget Karen off Witzel over here representative in Detroit was what censured because she said, Thank you, Donald Trump for saving my life when she took my directing Clark when she was she was kicked out of your own party for it. Kicked out of her own party for saying that Exactly. It's ah, unreal. Just one more common, Frank. I know the Republican governors that came out against Trump. What policy? Don't they, like? Remember when you had Michael Taylor on your show, and I asked you the question. Please ask him or policy. He disagrees with me. Just group energy. Independence, disagree with peace in the Middle East because you disagree with the tax cuts that caused probably the best economy we've ever had. Or maybe he's for defunding the police and abolish. Maybe that's why he vote against Trump. That's possible right there. But you know you make you make a good point. The look we were we were humming along. We haven't interruption right now. This too shall pass. We'll get through this and It will. It will be remembered. Hopefully, we learn from it. We get some solutions that might prevent future spreads of viruses like CV 19. But in the meantime, I think I think we can rest assure that our government's been working on our behalf in trying to find some answer to the virus and keep us safe. Thank you very much. Thank you. "Call from a gentleman who wass up in arms about a video that he had seen on social media or about absentee ballots being marked on the envelope with an R or a D. Yeah, And I'm here to to explain that. It's been be bunk in the mainstream media long ago, and I'm surprised Well, actually, I'm not surprised that it's still kicking around. But here's the explanation. And then I think there are three really important takeaways from what is otherwise. A very trivial story. So the explanation is that? Yes, indeed, the ballots that were in that Facebook video posted by some lady from Florida. Name Tina Brown is that it was a primary election in Florida. Florida has closed primaries, roll voters register by party and then they get a partisan ballot. Sure if we just went to the polls, you you had to fill out whether you were voting on the Democratsside a Republican side to make your choices in the primary here in Michigan to that's that's very common, isn't it? No. In Michigan, you get one ballot and you fill out the Republican side or the democratic side. Your primary you are you all right? But But you could only vote on one side. You can't mix up your votes is what I'm saying. Yes, But Florida has closed primaries where you register with one party or another, and you only get that ballot. So that is the very simple explanation. Why, in a primary election in Palm Beach, Florida, U would have Ah return sleeve That's marked our or deed. So that explains the whole video. There's not one explained to him about it. And there's nothing. It has no impact on anyone in Michigan. There are five states that have closed primaries and it only happens in primaries. Those things Won't be on Florida ballots in the general election. The whole store is Caribbean and much to do about that. Now, here is what is important about the story. First of all, it's been debunked in the mainstream media and people people like mainstream media, but the main Did a good job of blowing the story up. The only reason that survived was because the race through All right, well, we lost you there, but I get the point and I agree with you. All of us have to be very, very careful with what we report that includes talk shows that includes news people. You know, everybody takes prided. And I mean this, even if if you have the most partisan person in the media, they take pride in trying to get accurate information out to the public. Each and everyone So I hear what you're saying. I understand your concerns, and that makes all the sense in the world to be of why that would be marked R and Andy on the on the ballots, And I'm glad you called and explained all of that for us. Thank you so very, very much. Let's continue on the phones here will go to Detroit. Next, Paul, you're on the Frank Pickman show. Good morning..

It's going on and Another speculation that since the governor is apparently going to speak Wednesday at the Democratic Convention, that maybe that's a signal about the Ah opportunity or the chances that she will be named the running mate for Joe Biden. We shall see. We know it's coming this week, and there's a story in the free press that Ah, that says, Look, take a look at where she is on the on the speech roster. You know how important is she? When did she give her speech? And and all of that? And they say that it's becoming more and more clear that it's going to be somebody else. Quite frankly, and so well, we'll just have to wait quite that's that's all we can do. Because the governor is not gonna let us know ahead of time and we'll see if it leaks out. They have fried in batter, and I appreciate all those things. Yeah, just a couple of because this is not up and down roller coaster of emotions for me and my family. Um I'd like to ask anybody out there who has a BLM sign on the front yard to kind of reflect. The possible risks that is causing our police officers have been increased disdain against police Possible Physical act. That being said. My daughter and I have experienced nothing, but, uh, Help an endorsement. Uplifting feeling gave me a good feeling that This all this better get. Police is very small population. And it might be in in a small part of the population are always small, part Almighty all Harding. I think you're making a great point right there, And I think you're spot on because these these are not the majority of Americans out there in the streets and those that protest there. Look when they get out there and start burning buildings and throwing things through windows and hitting other people and, you know, raising guns at cops and things like this. They're breaking the law. They're nothing more than common criminals when they do that, and don't tell me anymore about how you've been cheated out of this or cheated out of that. No, you have not. You've got every Opportunity to live your life the right way and make an example of yourself for others. And you don't so you know, Shame on those people. And I'm very ah Political and open minded and big mouth sometimes meet up discussion with my name who had that? And, uh she was all about the whole slave thing played, boy Boy, you know. The officer was wrong. There's no doubt about that, and he's been charged. What? What do you want to have murder charges? Yeah. And police have had a hard time. How does that recruiting people? I pointed out to us, you know myself myself long before I have to others at a retired open county. So I don't know what happened to be a one stupid tracer. But Is that you put yourself in this division. You know, something just kicked down your door. They tied you up and get ready to assault your wife. Because of the shortage of police. The only man who could show up is this guy's belt employed. You say? No, Don't help. OK, what you say Yes. Until Police officers are elephant males, and they also females. They're the willing himself out there to defend us. Get us some respect. Yeah, I hear you on that. By the same token, I think we also agree that those police officers have gotta let that self control take over when, when that sort of urge, for whatever reason may come upon them. And that was the real structure. And then the other officers not doing anything while he was on Floyd's next But you know what, Like you said. This is a very small minority of police officers in the United States. It does not represent every police officer. And you know, Floyd did resist these officers. That was the other part of it. I'm not justifying what that cop did not by any means. That was horrible on da Inhumans. Quite frankly, but just the same to have these riots all over the country is It's destructive and I don't see what purpose they are really solving. Except to make noise and maybe affect the November 3rd election. We'll see Terry appreciate calls. Thank you very much. Lets go to LaPierre. Now, Dean. Thank you for waiting. And we'll get that story from the man who who was tested as part of a screening process for his service in the Army National Guard. Just you know that so his service in the Army National Guard I may have saved his own life because he he's been tested now they got an idea of what to do moving forward. So let's go to the phones. John, from how Europe first year in the segment on the Frank Pickman show. Good morning to you, sir. Good morning, Frank. I want to compliment you for truly do having the best foreign audience them all radio. Thank you. One. A moment ago, You were talking about Coben that acronym that was just an accurate dreamed up by those who want a business that vaccines or everything. I stand for a certificate of vaccination. Dash 19th. The 2008 thing has nothing to do with the actual virus. The other one the thing about us we are read online this morning. Apparently, the government has passed some legislation to eat them. Prosecution. Those who come up with a vaccine whereby if they were to harm us, we couldn't sue them. That one is really concerning and probably demands a duel on more digging and find out what's really going on point and it's a great point right there because there's no way they should be exempt simply because this is an illness that popped up if we're going to have a vaccine that is used And the companies that produce them. I've got to stand behind the product. That's I think that's only right to all the citizens here in the United States to not take away any of their rights and that would include the right to redress their grievances in court. S so I I'm with you on that. Yeah, for a big farm them millions who blows up billions of they intend to make and then be free of prosecution with people dying from a That's just not right. You know, I don't I don't deny them their right to a profit at all. Because if you don't have that motive Then, you know, I mean, that's the way our economy works. That's where the capitalist system works. So I've got no problem with that whatsoever, but to make them Ah, ah, three of liability for any mistakes that they might create. I don't think any of us are in favor of that. I think we can all agree by unilaterally on both sides of the aisle that that's that's not a good idea. Thank you. Keep on doing a good job. We'll do our best job. Thank you So much for the call. Let's go out to a war in next and Karen, you're on the Frank Beckmann show. Good morning. Good morning, Prince. Um I called the city of porn after hearing your questions about voting fraud. And they assured me That they will be looking into it if they get A boat. That is not kind correctly. It will be a face to face and there will be charges. Give me a little more detail in that. What do you mean? Or it could be an example. If I get a vote, and my mother passed away, and it's my mother's boat, I sign it. Send it in. They will be questioned me. Because state notified them. Of death through Social Security numbers. And they will put me in jail. You could be. I understand that it's just a matter whether we have the resource is to investigate all those votes. Whether there are so many of them. You know the big problem, but at least there The city of born is Starting not starting, but raid on it. Careful. I'm glad to hear that, because the sanctity of the ballots. That's what that's what's very important on election day, not just people exercising their right to vote, but also getting the votes counted correctly. That's that's paramount importance. Otherwise, why have the system I believe that I think this is the last thing we have. All right. I appreciate the call. Thank you so much good thoughts and thank you for bringing up the issue, care and really appreciate it. Let's go to Silverwood, which is a little town north of LaPierre and Ah, that's what I'm told anyways. And Dale's holding on the line. Hello, Dale. Cody and I was frank doing great. And you know what? That's the proper greeting from any town that's named like Silver would would be greeting. You know, I I like that. Um, my question is this How many empty balance with good signatures. Do you think George Soros cannot board You think he will try to Ah, to influence the elections? Even on a primary day like this in our state? What about primary, But ah When it comes to November for 3rd November third. Yeah. August August 4th November 3rd. That's OK for the primary tomorrow, but no, you're right. And for those who believe that George Soros is trying nothing but to Ah, to tear apart America and remake our government in some sort of socialist fashion. This. This has been a regular fear that he's going to try to interfere in our elections as much as he can to. So I hear you, but we know it is honest. Yeah, he does openly. Ah, described where he's handing out his money. There's no question about that. And you handed as a supporter of all these radical groups that are causing trouble in our country. That's that's what he does. He wants to. Ah, toe to foment all sorts of Ah All sorts of violence in the country and and leave our communities uncertain of where they're going to go from here. That's that's all part of the plan. I think so. And a right George Charles wants to overthrow the government as we know it, let's go to AA West Land and surely up next year on the Frank Beckmann Show. Hi, Shirley. Well, surely just dropped off the line s 0 808 590957 is our number. We apologize to you. If you're on hold for a long time. You get frustrated and you say Hey, theres too long. We understand. Okay. How are you? Great. Good, Robert. Thank you for the call. Appreciate it. I wanted Teo just express my concern over our senior citizens that are in the nursing homes. And I've seen some information on a website that I go to 100% set up dot com. But in that on that website, there was an article. I think this had gone fairly. This had been Through the news, where we had a senior citizen beat up in one of the nursing homes. We have up in northern Michigan. We've had called that positive Sr shipped up to the nursing homes up in the up in northern Michigan, but just on Friday Governor Whitmer vetoed a bill that would direct patients with covert 19 away from nursing homes. Exactly right, and we we spoke. We spoke to Pete Placido, the state senator who sponsored that legislation to start the show this morning, and I You got eyes to see ears. Remarks. Okay, Great. I missed that part of it. I listen pretty regularly. Okay? Could you could you know, I'm sure that will be posted on our website of W. Jr dot com under the Frank Beckmann show page. "That is being held and by the way. Guess who has the high bid? Still right now for Gulf for three, Along with a member at Ah, at the site of the memorial tournament Down it. Ah Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio. The Jack Nicklaus course. Yeah, your host. Still as the high bit in there, so we're hoping that plays out in that next August, will be able to go down there and play some golf at at Muirfield. It's a beautiful, beautiful golf course been there before, and It's marvelous, and I just hope we wouldn't that auction. It's a double dose of help if it helps the charities of the Ally challenge, and it also gives great joy to those who get to go out and play so we'll see. But that auction goes on as we as we speak. All right. Let's continue here on the Frank Pickman show and welcome into the program. The senior vice president At the Institute for Energy Research. His name is Dan Kid, and he's here to comment on stories that that indicate the Joe Biden's energy plan that's out there. Is nothing more than a gift for China. China is not America's ally. The story says. It's not a strategic competitors. It is not an adversary. Simply put. China is an enemy. The CVI 19 outbreak and result in shutdown on the global supply chain exposed the unsettling fact that America is dependent on China for many essential materials. We've seen that over and over everything from Well for masks and the like that we could use right now to Ah to some of the medicines. They're being used. Tio fight the CVI 19. But the Great America relying on China, Mohr and Mohr, and that's good news. It seems for for Joe Biden, who really supports America's sending Ah, trade to China, and also is not seeming that concerned about the cost of those critical medical supplies to the United States. Medical supplies that come from China. The controversy now begins over that. And they say that Joe Biden's trying Tio gift China part of our economy, by by his stances that are really, really Friendly toward the totalitarian communist state. Over there. Dan Kiss, senior vice president at the Institute for Energy Research, on the other end of our line, and Dan. Good morning. Nice to have you with us, and I'll start by asking How exactly does former Vice President Biden benefit China with his climate energy plan? Good morning, Frank happy Monday. Well, basically, what we've got in the United States is for last year for the first time since 1957. Uh, the United States became energy independent that is to say we produced Mohr energy. Then we consumed and We all know And you all know in Detroit all of the trouble that we went through, for all all the dislocation, economic dislocation, everything else related to being dependent on the Middle East for oil, And every time they sneeze, we'd go crazy when we finally beat that, by Drilling under her own feet for own God given resource is became the largest producer of oil and gas in the world. And so we that we could check that off the accomplished, uh, category and and use that to our economic and national security benefit. But the whole green new deal that Joe Biden is pushing and and his people. Is predicated upon switching our entire economy, leaving all of that in the ground. And moving towards electrification of our economy of our transport and everything else. And unbeknownst to most Americans, we've turned the keys over to the ignition to the Chinese on that they control over 90% of the world's supplies of the minerals necessary to do this. They control the battery's not just the manufacture of them. But the minerals that air necessary either in their own country or in places they've colonial ized and Africa economically colonial eyes like the Congo that produces a cobalt that goes into the batteries that make electric cars possible. So we're basically saying we got rid of the Middle East in the driver's seat. And we're gonna rather than have ourselves in the driver's seat switch over to China. And give them the keys to the car, and that's what's going on. And frankly, I can't think of a more diabolical thing to be doing at a time when we ought to be celebrating the success of America's energy. Situation indeed, and and the the energy situation remains. You know, we get a lot of problems with covert 19 and a lot of threats from it. But the energy the energy sector has been able to hold up quite well, hasn't it? Yeah. I mean, there's a lot of dislocation the price of oil crash this year because people are using a lot less. I don't know about you, but I like $2.25 per gallon gets me to fill her up. Fill er up. Ah, And I think a lot of Americans were enjoying that if we're allowed to go out and you know, get out and enjoy it. But But, you know, obviously the economy is not back to stuff here. But when when we are of the energy industry will come back just like everything else, and people will be seeking to buy new cars and the rest and If the only option is going to be electric cars, shutting down our power production and importing Chinese solar panels, which is what they are, and even the wind turbines that you know Michigan have some familiarity with most of the parts for those are made in China. China controls about 70 Plus percent of the world's solar panel production either directly or by owning companies in other countries and the Faris that make these things So we subsidise them to import him in the United States to replace.

Ernest from Rochester Hills is next up a Ernest Hey, Good afternoon, Frank and hear me? Yeah. Here. You find snot afternoon yet? So don't push it that far. Let me tell you, I hold you in the highest esteem along with Rush Limbaugh to my bait. Favor heroes. Thank you very much. My comment. Frank is that I understand that the black lives matters people have have AH obtained a permit to paint their slogan. Black lives matters on the street in front of Trump Tower. And I think Donald Trump should play their game and go ahead and welcome it and tell them that he thinks it's a beautiful slogan. And then it looks really nice. And perhaps they should painted around all four sides of the building and let Let's see what they do. Then once it's not bothering the president, perhaps that will slow down the movement of painting Black lives matters on the streets throughout our country. You know that? That's Ah, That's an excellent idea right there. And you know the president would be taking the lead. I don't think it would. It would hurt business One iota. Quite frankly, I can't can't see how Yeah, he should agree with, um, just a Yeah, That's a wonderful slogan and go ahead and paint it. And then what are they going to do? They're going to say, Oh my gosh. How are we going to cause disruption and chaos when they're going along with it? You know, I've got to find what I had. This morning. I had this Ah, website that I found that's got a couple of African American brothers on and they were talking about this whole issue of black lives matter, And they've Quite frankly, they're very out, spoken their conservative and they've had it. They just Ah, they're not taking any more. And they're speaking out against these all these protesters, which was really interesting because they're Yeah, there there. Ah! They're taking their reputation and thrown it right out there and saying Look, this is not the right way to do it. We should all be trying to support this country as one and very, very interesting. I've got to find their their names again, though. I'll pass along what I do, okay? Will you keep up the good work, Frank? You are one of my heroes. But I I appreciate that so very much. You'll never know how much it means to me. Thank you Appreciate the call, Okay, We're going to go to AA Grosse Pointe and Mark you are next year on the Frank Pickman show. Good morning. It seems like it's a marquee and your show. Ah, market Mike Day. Yeah, everything with her, and with four letters. Careful with that decision by the Supreme Court to look into Ah, Finances Donald Trump and New York's It looks like New York's gonna succeed where the Congress isn't What Just wondered what your thoughts are on that I don't think it's going to be long before all the information will be relayed to Ah to Chuck Schumer and company and, you know, the New York Reps. Alexandria Okecie of Cortez. Andi all dibs in Washington. It won't be long before that happens. I don't know what's in the president's tax returns. I don't know whether he was paying hush money, Tio quiet women who were having affairs with him. I just don't have horns. Yeah, so ah! Changing gears, though we're at 60,000 grown a cases in Michigan And I called a couple weeks back where Florida had, like 3000 day now erupted 200,000 So I don't know that our governor was that fire off base. With the closing of the You know, large schools and all that. It was just, you know, the only argument will be whether she went too far and basically shutting down most of the economy, putting people out of business out of work Those numbers so I don't you know. It seems like she was on the right track. Well, perhaps, but again, if you if you break down those numbers, where were the majority of deaths, and here's the other thing that we're not hearing about? And you won't hear about that? What's that? The dust bag. Yeah, well, that that that's absolutely true, but also how many people died of other causes, but tested positive for covert and so they were put in that category as covered 19 deaths. And that was happening everywhere. They say there's a lot of cardiac guys Abnormalities with this thing in their candy. Brain crowd. Yeah, so I don't know what real answers, but I just I'm glad our numbers aren't going crazy, like Aaron, Texas in Florida because they opened too soon. Yeah, that's that's true, but keep in mind. Ah. That for this 1000 there a 10,000 day you have a think about this now almost half of the covert deaths. Are from 6/10 of 1% of the population. And those of the people who live in nursing homes. So far and assisted living facilities right so far, but, you know, Let's let's hope it's you know, I'm not wishing more deaths in the nursing homes by any means, But I'm certainly hoping that we don't see any more widespread anyway. We can limit it is probably a good idea. Thanks for taking my car and have a good day. All right, you two appreciated. Thank you so very much marked. "Independence Day weekend and we celebrate our freedoms and celebrate the founding of our country are great constitution. Did you hear what happened in Russia? Right there, Dick with that latest election, and oh, man, I was sweating that out. You know, it's no different than the days of Stalin and Lenin now. Really? It isn't He's a totalitarian ruler. Of Russia. Yep, That's exactly what Vladimir Putin is on DA. It's if you look up the picture or the definition of totalitarian in the dictionary, or you're likely to find his picture right above it now. Just studying stuff that first long as Russia exists. He's the ruler. That's that He goes further than Stalin. I think But at any rate, we'll let them deal with that, and we just hope we don't have to deal with too many consequences here on the other side of the globe that's about a mine lacks the history of Russia, except for A brief time a brief moment in time when Lots of stars converged. Reagan. Pope John Paul, the second And the good Danks Solidarity movement with Lech Walesa. For a time it appeared the Russian people we're going to be able to take their own destiny in their hands. But then it slipped away. Yes, indeed it did. And so the problems for the Russian people continue. Thank you for that story and for paying attention to it, it's important and it's also important to keep it in perspective with things that have happened in the past because These this? How how events repeat themselves. Quite frankly. And the Russians were. This was a dangerous nation for a long, long, long, long time and then We thought not. Morning, Frank Tell you what. I just want to make a quick statement about this weekend. I know there's going to be no shortage life celebrations in the city. So, guys, if you're out there celebrating it. Please be careful. Don't blow your fingers off. The member was a football player for the Giants. He one weekend he came to his celebrated Hebrew. I think a couple of fingers off So I was always used to tell my employees. Please be careful for you out there. Be extremely careful. You know what? That is A good show. But be careful, Rob. That is that's an incredibly good advice and let me just pass along one story from from years past. Okay when We lived in a on a street that was it was a circle. It was quite frankly, it was and there was no exit at the end of the street, and so I used to do what we used to do it for the fourth of July, eyes would gather in the street, a couple of neighbors and I put it together. And the kids loved it. They'd sit on the driveways and watch and we'd light off fireworks, Okay, and had all kinds of great fireworks. Well, you know what? My next door neighbor? Ah, Geoff and Karen rose one time. Were out of town on vacation. During the fourth of July. And guess what? One of the fireworks landed on their roof, and we swore their house was going to burn down from this way. Got hoses out and, you know, started spraying the roof. Anything can happen. Even if you're being careful s O. That's my warning. We're not experts even though we feel we are So good, Absolutely. I don't have time. But you know I don't. I don't think turned down statues. I don't think we need to put a plaque senior was a slave owner. Leave him up. If you want other statues, put up, Go ahead and put him up. If you want Shay Rivera up there, Castro whoever else It doesn't matter. Go ahead and put him up. It really doesn't make white hair down. Why not build more that might capture and you know what And then and then let us learn the history of those people and what they stood for. No one's infallible, Frank. No, no, Including you. I hate to say it, but believe me, I've been reminded of that often. OK, so I got into a little bit with your call Screener and I apologize if that came off his confrontational But my thought is I didn't want to believe the governor and I didn't vote for the governor. I don't care for the governor. I think she's one actually shut the economy down for political purposes, and my reasoning is this. They're supposed to be contact tracing and tracking. What is that tones? What does that tell us that it's bars that are exposed, causing more viruses? The church.
