Norwich stun Manchester City with thrilling 3-2 win against Premier League champions

"Hutchison joins me as we talk about a busy Saturday in the premier league well as much as Norwich place tonight after that massive result darn against Manchester City for the canaries with a win who would have thought it. I just have to you know oh pay homage to our lovely backdrop tonight on the River Thames. Look at this Hammersmith Bridge doesn't get much better than this. Unless of course he goes to tower bridge. Let's get because it's GonNa look like it's is probably not going to get better than that a win against the champions given the injuries that they've had as well. Did you see this. Did you see this coming because I've I have no mindset you all day long I believe but I tell you what I did. See it coming after about fifteen minutes when they approach the game with lows of arrogance Man City. I think they thought I think pep thought this. She's going to be easy three points. We'll just turn up play football. We'll keep hold of the ball will pay Loza possession based football will just play between the lines and score some goals. We'll go back with three points. It never walk walk that it definitely did not work. That's what I mean. Kudos enormous because what we thought was the fact that wants Man City scored. I want that goal the floodgates it would have opened but for somehow they still weren't able to break down. Why is that do you think they're missing a certain emmerick report as well there that probably would have helped them? Oh I think so I think along with probably one or two of their best player LaPorte la season. It was terrific. an emergent is one of the best center often world football so yes. He's going to be a massive miss. I still thought though because I've covered PEPs teams over the years I remember when he was at Barcelona and how much go rhino planes a holding midfielder played him center off on the same. We'll have you Martinez at Buyin so I actually thought you to play on Dino's center off the former Rhodri so that might be a pet might do down the line but you looked at automatically today and Johnstone's and they looked as was on the never played a game of those two especially were all over the place and just speaking on that LaPorte injury of course we know that is going to be a timely injury that do you think it will end up costing city the title especially given how Liverpool are going. It's a worry because listen mindset. You're all filled full superstar so you can identify any given time who you think might be Miss Kevin Lebron's last season but still won the league and still performed at a high level Aguire Heyzer to play number Games what you take out the poll where I I think he's one of the best center off do brings balance being left foot center off plan on that left side also plant life backing play as a third sent off as well so you take him at the equation on all of a sudden Muncie. It sounds strange to say still look a little bit short defensively well interesting. You say that then because remember this is Matt cities. I lost in the primarily since January incredible run an incredible stat that so given the fact that with everything that you just said and this LaPorte injury is it. Are they going to be to shell shocked. Do you think it to go on a run. That's again yeah. It'd be very interesting to have been a fly on the wall in the dressing room. Afterwards pen going ballistic. His players have just said this is a warning. This is a war and you can't any teams for granted or or the Badeah chewed or a touch of arrogance. It's nice to have a environment because it makes you play one. That makes you be confident but you can't take your position. Especially someone. Knowledge is a dangerous underdog because they've got players like Tim O. Cookie and can't who I think's going to be a superstar player they can hurt you at any given time but no one really soldiers coming. I think best case scenario thought I think people thought would win the game. Maybe nausea my goal to and give them a fright but the paper is going to be very interested in the tomorrow morning just before we move on from this. Let's just touch on March for because like you said this was definitely not a result anybody would have predicted voted for them. You know the manager even saying that beating city would be like climbing Mount Everest without any oxygen but they've done it. Can they build from this because as well a lot of people didn't even pick them to survive this primarily season Norwich Fan please. You'd ask Donyell faulk on never ever to change Shange always because you went to Anfield and I was sick and tired side of the press over the weekend call knowledge naive because they went to onfield outplayed Liverpool for probably thirty thirty five minutes of the game but lost by four goals to one so everyone label them naive Econ Hong Kong have this approach against its helps just proved if you style of play and you stick with duck and you Australian your beliefs you can get results against anyone so I just said Kudos Norwich on and a fantastic sean the on them because I'll give them so much confidence because then expected to get results against Mansi liberals they can do that two teams in and a random they must be safe life this season all right well next on my list that I have here because it's twenty nine thousand nine. We use technologies over phones now Liverpool. That's definitely somewhere that you know very well and hold dear to your heart up against Newcastle your hometown team Newcastle giving Liverpool bit of scare in the beginning but Liverpool as many would have expected expected on some how did what matches the city did not be was not able to do and just came absolutely roaring back shocked to unbelievable strike from jetro volumes uh-huh on his weaker right foot as well and smashed into the stanchion and all of a sudden you think in this is GonNa be a test of Liverpool golf with the European champions. They've gone arrogance about them. Where that that just swatting teams away? It doesn't matter if you poke the more you or your so of small scoring early goal at Anfield especially with the two years does this season last sees anything because of the Champions League I think so I think than being European champions now give them the air confidence arrogance where they believe her Jergen KLOPP speak to the press over the weekend in the UK. Hey saying he believed these players but now the play is believe in themselves which is huge on a mentality front because now that go beyond against Newcastle go beyond against anyone he wanted primitive and all of a sudden you poke menu and you smile at them and all of a sudden that's helped players. Just go through the gays and people like Maan who's an incredible. I mean what's He got twenty three goals in twenty nine unreal all of a sudden looking at superstar player. Everyone was talking about Mosala being the superstar fun Daikin Alison even though he didn't play today that building just such a rich squad where you think they all start contend believable with Muncie could be there yeah. What are you touched on Saudi-omani and of course like you were saying everyone has been talking about most most especially after you know the records he has he the and the record breaking man he has been livable so you think that Saudi-omani is a top man I do because I I look at him and I watch an I an analyzes attitude and he's he's strong durable? He's never injured even when he is ill play with Knox. those managers are priceless. the way he plays lays full of energy is hard as nails. He's he's quick dynamic. He makes things happen with support. FEE can run in beyond without the ball is now getting these goals does. He's getting his assists so when you when you analyze Liverpool you think who would they miss the most probably Saudi-omani all right well. Let's move on now to Chelsea because because what a result up against a team that we know wolves can be a very tough team to beat especially at home but you know. Can we get a hip hip Hooray for the Youth Steve Chelsea something that you know I want to say everyone has sort of pooh-poohed on in recent time saying young manager too many young players. They don't quite have have the experience to really go deep in the Premier League. It's GonNa take them at least another year or two but this is looking like a brilliant squad that really can threaten some of the other teams on Credit Franklin part especially Jody Morris so I know quite well it was working beyond the scenes academy level a few years ago before you went to Dhabi so he knows the young players coming through and there's many Moore's boy call James is not it's not really featured just yet who's going to be or could be a superstar so the way francs been brave. You'll have to say that it would be very easy if you're young manager to go with tried and tested rested experienced players but Franks put to one side he still got a good blend is still got got. The comeback who played a part in today's game were injured. He still contact the comeback but credit emmys playing the young boys. He's playing Mason. Mount is playing some more who got a goal today. He's playing Abraham do get in gold and top joint top-scorer and so you know frank is being a very brave manager tuck going in a in a club like Chelsea wherever it's always WANNA come yesterday. There's never been any for room for manages to try and maneuver in the past so yeah. There's a very very good job Jodi Jodi. Let's think of it on that man that you allege that you mentioned just last having Abraham wow three goals today that we know that hat trick that he's going to want to celebrate but I'm going to call it four goals because he's got yeah. He got the job of making the point. When you score three you might as well go with four escort goal any lean accounting methods it just take the fall the four hundred run put it up on social media later match go but it you know I was I was in in Istanbul covering the supercup and it was it was Jerus- dot dot dot game and it was what was going to be very interesting to see which way Frank Lenzi because they bring different aspects of that game as you root very good on the ball he can hold the ball he's into midfield as dream but tammy now is starting to become and he's not quite there yet but he's nearly the finished article where is hold a place getting better? He's very quick a spinning in beyond but more important getting goals are you surprised with the way in which she's just been improving and seems to be going from strength to strike because it was thought that was flaws in his game wealth will the whole to play our thought jude was better player but he was quicker than Jerusalem is an unwieldy down the line getting these calls which is most important for centerfolds. You know you can have all the build up. Play you like banging in the goals. People will start asks the question when especially when you're young plan your and a Chelsea side as I said I've got no take time to try and grow you go in there straightaway and you're banging in the goals and you're playing well. He's in a good rich painful from a rich vein of form there at Chelsea. Let's move on to Manchester United the the roller coaster. I have to laugh because I know you watch that game closely on paper Win for Manchester United up against Leicester who everyone said we're really and truly favorites going into this one you know ahead of them in the premier my league table but it really was not a performance that I would say you could take confidence from it was a strange game commentary on the game and it was almost aside Lester went into the favorites because of the quality players on paper but it's almost like they tried to kick dumpster united and Monday night responded really well Scott mcdonagh a real shift and it was probably their lead on the day he's only twenty two and he was he was Marshall Not Midfield and he was getting around everywhere. He was leading from the front. He was very aggressive. Although Daniel James had another superb game he was very lively off the left hand side rash was a little bit in and out penalty goal but still doesn't look like it doesn't look like a readymade centerfold or so much like learning these game off the left hand side and all of a sudden being thrown is a centerfold she still learning so think to analyze the game. It was one where normally manages try to analyze the performance and that's what they want. A thought today was a case of Oregon social just wanting the three points. That's what you needed just to give them a little bit of confidence and may be in the games come up with. You've got some really till fixtures. Maybe the three points against Leicester will probably not listed down a peg or two and give the money funds underplays a little bit more confidence. Do you think let's run out steamed. You pick them to run out of steam. I know this is a topic that we spoke about a lot when they ended up winning the primarily because again you know they started off so well and nobody picked it to last. This is another you know season where less to have started very well and we see the troubles with some of the other bigger clubs the Monday night is the Chelsea's having their slip-ups even spurs here and there on Arsenal so do do you pick them to to go deep is everyone has expected. I think so think my two teams I think would be calm unless that to try and get close to the top six. I think wolves are not just because of the loss today today but they've got Europe League football which is always difficult on a small squad. I think it's too much for them. but I was quite surprised at how Lester started the Game Brandon Brendan I think might want to see changes weight changes system. He played a forty three one way in the last two weeks. He's played a four one four one and makes Lester be more on the front foot a little bit defensive today a little bit on the puck for a little bit so of an order of Monday night but I think if let's go that time again and Brendan how again to to play assistant ultra and win the thing you'd have been one or two things

It Dan knows how horrible it was President Trump has said to deliver the state of the union address tonight political expert, Dr Shawn foreman says while the state of the union addresses received less and less attention year after year. This one will probably be different probably gain more attention because there's so much uncertainty about where we're headed this year. And in the future of American politics ABC's? Karen Travers is with us from the White House on our KOMO Newsline. Karyn good morning. Good morning. It's going to be just an interesting picture to see the president's up there. With house speaker Nancy Pelosi right behind him who he was attacking over the weekend. Yes. Meet looming large have right behind the president and in front of him. We'll be the House Democratic majority. So it's a very different room than the president delivered the speech to last year when the Republicans control both the house and Senate the White House says the president's going to lay out a visionary optimistic. Look at bipartisanship in ways. The two parties can work together. But that's quite a challenge, and is being already met with a lot of skepticism given that we're just a couple of days away from a thirty five day government shutdown and that there's another potential shutdown looming at the end of next week. So we'll see what the reaction in the room is tonight. But the White House says the president does want to talk about ways he thinks he can work with Democrats. What do we know about the speech itself? So far, we know that the president's going to focus no surprise heavily on border security and immigration at the White House says this is not a one issue address tonight. He's also going to talk about infrastructure American workers and trade deals. I'll talk about national security issues things like Venezuela, and perhaps announce something about his next summit with Kim Jong and where that will take place at the end of the month. All right. And what is the theme? The theme is choosing greatness. And the White House says, this is an optimistic speech. Call for bipartisanship in a very very divided Washington. Karen, thanks for your time. "Frank Lenzi is at the editor's desk. Greg is off today. I'm MandA factor. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo says the US is withdrawing from a nuclear treaty with Russia Pompeii announced the US is suspending obligations under the hinder media terrains nuclear forces treaty as of tomorrow, the treaty prevents the US in Russia from possessing any land based cruise missiles that can strike within a three hundred ten to thirty four hundred miles range the death toll from the brutal cold that's gripped. The midwest all week is now at least twenty one the dead include a sixty year old woman found in an abandoned house near Cleveland and a thirty eight year old woman founded her apartment in Milwaukee. Some others were found dead just a short walk from their homes. President Trump does not have much confidence in bipartisan talks about a border wall and says he'll probably move forward with the wall. Even if lawmakers don't approve it in an interview with the New York Times yesterday Trump called the negotiations. A waste of time. I'll special counsel. Robert Muller says the case against Roger stone is so voluminous and complex. Prosecutors need more time to get ready for trial ABC's. Aaron Katersky is following this. He's on our KOMO Newsline. Aaron we understand stone is back in court today. She's doing court mainly for a procedural matters. Manda he does not, you know, he's already entered his plea. There may well be a gag order imposed by the judge. And maybe that's why Roger stone decided to get a impromptu news conference together yesterday in Washington DC. So he could reassert his innocence his complaints about the way his arrest went down. And so he could also again repeat to us that he's still considering whether to cooperate with the mother investigation voluminous is a pretty strong word do we know anymore about. So what were rubber means by that? Well, I it's really a technical matter to get the case designated as complex and that just simply stops the clock on speedy trial regulations. Otherwise, the government has a finite period of time in which they can bring the case to trial here. They say they need a little more time because there's so much evidence. Emails text messages, all the hard drives Bank records, so voluminous as the special counsel put it that they need more time to be able to sift through it all and then get the case to trial and Rogers don't city agreed to two years. They've been looking at my Email, and my my my text messages, and he says he has not deleted anything. These Roger stone court appearances have been quite circus. Like he's the same expected today outside they are. But you know inside it's pretty pro forma today. You know, we don't know it you can't help. But think that Roger stone calls all these people and tells them to show up orchestrates the circus. Outside because that's what he's done for the past four decades to self-described dirty trickster. So, you know, I it's hard to tell how much passion there truly is out there for for Roger stone who nobody had ever heard of until recently. So he's been content to be a behind the scenes player for a number of Republican politicians over the years now finds himself facing criminal charges that could get him twenty years in prison, despite the fact that he says he did not have any intent to congress. The high court refused to hear an appeal from two states aiming to cut public funding for Planned Parenthood through Medicaid, Louisiana, and Kansas tried to block people who are on Medicaid from getting health services at Planned Parenthood facilities. Planned Parenthood is a large women's health care and abortion provider. Prosecutors say they have resolved the case against a woman accused of being a secret agent for the Russian government assigned. She likely has taken a plea deal. The information was included in a court filing this morning in the case against Maria Boutin her lawyers and federal prosecutors have asked for a court hearing as soon as tomorrow morning. The documents didn't provide details about the resolution prosecutors allege she gathered intelligence on American officials and political organizations they said she used her contacts with the National Rifle Association. She's charged with conspiracy, and then acting as an unregistered foreign agent for Russia. President Trump insisting again this morning. He did not break. Campaign finance rules by paying off women to keep quiet about alleged affairs. President going on Twitter this morning, insisting the payments were done correctly as a simple private transaction, not a campaign contribution. But even if they weren't made correctly Trump says it's his former attorney Michael Cohen's fault and not his how prosecutors did implicate the president Friday in two crimes linked to the campaign. Top Democrats suggest if the allegations are true, the president may have committed an impeachable offense. The latest from ABC's David Wright as the full implications of the case against President Trump's longtime attorney beginning to sink in Democrats say the president himself is in legal jeopardy. The sentencing memo prosecutors filed Friday in federal court in New York suggests Michael Cohen should be sent to jail because of crimes he committed in coordination with and at the direction of Trump himself. "Frank Lenzi is at the editor's desk. With Gregg Hersholt, I'm MandA factor. President Trump this morning has signed a crock. Cla mation to deny asylum to migrants who enter the United States illegally through the US Mexico border. Trump invoking the same national security powers that he used to push his travel ban through. He says he wants people to come to the United States. Legally. The move today spurred in part by caravans of Central American migrants, slowly moving north on foot. But officials say it will apply to anyone caught crossing illegally. More than twenty million. People in California are under red flag warnings this morning as Windsor driving wildfires up and down the state thousands of people have been forced from their homes in the northern California. Foothills the town of paradise has all but destroyed in southern California. The so-called Woolsey fire is threatening thirty thousand homes along Los Angeles Ventura County line and to the west the hill. Fire has jumped the Ventura freeway officials expect it to be closed through the morning. Komo news time six forty eight is Friday morning, and there's a lot of people especially young people are getting the Grinch is back on the big screen Benedict. Cumberbatch is the voice of the Harry green one who plots to ruin. Christmas for the village of whoville might be year list of demands to Santa. They're not demands it's more like a wish. And what I'm wishing for is really really important. Well, am I send a letter? I mean, if it's really that important you should just ask him face to face. That's right. No one's ever seen him. You'll also hear the voices of Rashida Jones Keenan Thompson and Angela lansbury Brian the movie guy is here. And what do you think of the Grinch? You guys always make fun of me for for never reading have read this one many times. So you make fun of you for many ministers. This version remake update whatever you wanna call it is virtually risk free. And it's pretty much devoid of any whimsey or wonder minutes taking a movie about the Grinch to bring out the Grinch and me it largely forgoes. It's would be redemption storyline lieu of lot of color and chaos even pack a few pounds into the story. They make the Grinch somewhat likable, which I just rubbed me the wrong way from the get-go. And for a should be brisk eighty six minutes. This thing still feels overstuffed. There's no urgency. There's no character arc and somehow in this story of the spirit of Christmas. They don't affectively embraced the actual spirit of Christmas. It's an afterthought now to what Gregg said earlier don't get me wrong. Kids are gonna love it. I took my three boys. They absolutely loved this movie. It's loud. It's colorful, and it's loud. This is their intended audience. So they hit the Mark there. That's great. I found the movie as cuddly as cactus in his charming isn't ill. I'm going to give the Grinch as C plus. Well, you're the Grinch aren't starting. Gee, whiz even turn green while you were talking about just about out of time. But we also have the girl in. In the spider's web. This is the sequel to the girl with the dragon tattoo. What do you think two thousand eleven girl with dragon tattoo directed by David fincher, a great movie, this is an entirely new cast entirely. New director follows the same character. She exacts vengeance on the men who have battered women. It's a great. Interesting story the book, you know, don't even know what I'm saying. But the movie fails on almost every single level except for its action sequences, it's bleak. It's moody it's dull it's hyper sadistic. It's a crime filler thriller that I would not recommend. I'm going to say it's one of the worst movies of the year the girl in the spider's web D-plus. All right, Brian the movie grin. Friday mornings here on the KOMO morning news and have a good weekend. Investigation acting attorney general Matthew Whitaker will now oversee that investigation. ABC news crime and terrorism analyst and former FBI agent Brad Garret is with us again. Good morning, Brad. What do you think the mood is like inside the Justice department this morning? Well, I. A certain level of anxiety. But there always is when you change attorney general's, but I think the short answer is either. Stop Lawler in his tracks. And I think the answer that has no first of all. Lawlor is so deep into this investigation. And they're obviously we've had a lot of people indicted in this case. The a lot more to indict some of them may have already been charged. But they could be sealed indictments. FBI agents in career prosecutors around the country working on pieces of this case, you just can't stop that train. And so do I think that they'll probably try to pressure on Lawler to finish. And then maybe start Ellen any can't have as much money to to work on the case. I think all of that is possible. But I do think it will go on. So you're saying that even if Robert Muller was fired today and rod Rosenstein was fired today as well. Th there's so much stuff in the pipeline and in the courts, and before grand juries that this is taking on a life of its own. Yeah. But you can't fire all the FBI agents that are working on it. I mean, the reality is each cases end up in in the US attorney's office by large in whatever district where the charges occur. Whether it's DC or were you are in Seattle. You know, all of these things, you know, that's the Justice system moving forward. So I think what somebody could do the molar is basically saying you got another month. And then I'm gonna cut the money off. I mean, the big things like that could occur. I'm only adjusting books. Bob Muller could probably expedite some of the things he's doing pushed further out to other entities to work on those. And it'll keep going in some fashion. We'll see thanks for your time. "Frank Lenzi is at the editor's desk. With Gregg Hersholt MandA factor. US troops are on their way to the US Mexico border and just days ahead of the crucial midterm elections. President Trump says the US is about to be invaded by illegal immigrants and places enormous strain on our local schools, hospitals and communities in general taking precious resources away from the poorest Americans who need them. Most ABC news, political director recline on our KOMO Newsline. Rick I think we expected to hear some sort of new policy announced by the president yesterday. And that didn't really happen. Did it? No, it wasn't new policy. And I think it was a very similar to what he says it campaign rallies. All the time. Just this time with the trappings of the White House, and the president is doing everything he can to make this election about one big thing. This big thing about the caravan, but truly he's manufacturing crisis. And. Overstating with with without many facts, the the the potential threats posed by a military deployment to the border. The suggestion that these are criminals people over running these poor people these are migrants that are looking would be refugees. They are not invading the country and the president is misconstruing it I think willfully in an effort to to play politics to send a couple of days before the election. We know it's resonating with his loyalist. So what's your sense as to how it's being received by the majority of people, it's mixed. And I think as you mentioned people that for whom immigration is top issue. They hear this. And they're they're worried about it. And they want to go vote as a result of it about for a lot of people that isn't the top issue, and a lot of people that know, the facts are looking at the facts, you even here for some Republican members of congress who are running in tight races. They're saying wait a second. This is not the threat that you're saying it is and we need to get back to the issues that matter to people it's a pure base play. I think it's it's more explicit than other presidents have been in this kind of messaging, although you would expect the president to try to Rev up his base at the end one interest. Note from yesterday as one media L at MSNBC decided not to air live the president's comments saying they wanted to fact check I do see more of that happening in the future. We didn't air it either at ABC, although it's different network versus cable. But I I think I think taking a responsible step back at anything that happens four or five days before an election. You have to recognize what the news value is. And I put some context behind it that if you say something now is the president. He's made clear that there isn't much difference between being commander in chief and being campaigner and chief. So when he says makes. Kind of wild assertions about what immigrants are are are threatening us at the border over. I think you have to recognize it as a political context. So it seems to me like that kind of fact checking is very much warranted. We're four days away from the election yesterday. Yesterday's it looked as though some of the tension came out with the Republican Representative Steve king and Iowa a question it or at townhall meeting asked him about his views, and sort of compare them to the views were reflected, by the synagogue shooter. And Steve king erupted with this guy is he in trouble politically is is he showing signs that he's in a tight race. He's had to run a campaign ad for the first time. And if you'll even more and more than a decade, and I think he seen a tightening there. And I think it reflects the national environment. We saw pretty extraordinary thing earlier in the week where the the head of the Republican congressional committee said I don't want anything to do with Steve king anymore. We're not going to be helping him in his reelection. And I do think it was an immediate reaction to Pittsburgh that drew that. Although congressman. In Kingston controversial things for a long time and still been reelected in Iowa, Rick. We appreciate your time. Thank you ABC. News, political director recline have great weekend. "Frank Lenzi is at the editor's desk. US troops are on their way to the US Mexico border soldiers from Fort Riley, Kansas arrived yesterday in Harlingen, Texas, now part of the first wave of more than five thousand active-duty troops. President Trump is sending tobacco border patrol agents. In advance of a caravan of migrants from Central America. President Trump warned yesterday if members of the caravan throw rocks at US troops. They may respond with gunfire. President Trump is campaigning today for Republican Senate candidates in Indiana and West Virginia, Mike Voronin, Indiana and Patrick Morrissey in West Virginia or challenging democratic senators in states that Trump won two years ago. Braun challenging Senator Joe Donnelly Morrissey is challenging Senator Joe Manchin all this week we've been focusing on some of the hottest races. You'll vote on next Tuesday today. Komo's Jeff Pohjola. Looks at initiative sixteen thirty one the latest attempt to implem-. A carbon tax sixteen. Thirty one aims to tax the largest carbon polluters in the state and use that money to develop green technology and businesses it's not cap and trade, but rather a straight up tax on those generate greenhouse gases. Becky Kelly is the campaign's spokeswoman eight out of the top ten polluters in Washington will pay this fee and the two who are exempted are a coal plant in Centralia that is going out of business turning into a solar farm shutting down and the other is large aluminum smelter because we need to have Washington manufacturers who produce things like steel and concrete and aluminum stay in business. Also exempt are the aviation and maritime industries big time users and polluters but Kelly says thence because federal law doesn't allow them to regulate those industries, and it's those exemptions on which critics have focused of their campaign. Dana Bieber is spokeswoman for no on sixteen thirty one. It's an unfair energy tax that would force Washington families and small businesses to pay thirty billion dollars. Meanwhile, the measure exempts the largest polluters in the state giving them a free ride and pushing the cost down to small businesses at the same time. There's no real accountability for how the money would be spent because there's no specified spending plan. So what about that unelected board that we've been hearing about that supposed to oversee all the money? That's coming in is a political appointee board of fifteen unelected people who have broad authority to spend thirty billion dollars in any way. They choose the yes campaign says there are several areas where the board will focus its efforts. Some of the top.

Feinstein says that raises serious concerns declaring it's not a credible investigation without them. "Frank Lenzi is at the editor's desk with Greg Hersholt dot net effect supreme court nominee. Brett Cavanaugh has gained the support of a key Republican Senator today, virtually ensuring his nomination will advance to the full Senate day after he adamantly denied the high school year sexual assault of a woman who testified that she was one hundred percent sure he was guilty. The Senate Judiciary committee is now scheduled to vote at ten thirty Seattle time today on the nomination. But moments before the panel convened this morning Senator Jeff flake says he will vote to confirm Cavanaugh after yesterday's hearing. Connecticut democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal had high praise for Dr Christine Blasi Ford. We are all hearing from survivors, also all across the country. Dr Betty Ford had given them hope and inspiration, courage and fortitude this right now. From the White House. ABC news correspondent Karen Travers, carry good morning. What was the president's reaction to the president said that Brett Kavanagh's? Testimony was powerful honest, and riveting he watched almost every second of it. I on Air Force One on the short flight from New York to Washington and then later at the White House all afternoon, either cleared schedule, so he could pay attention to what was happening on Capitol Hill. And there was also last night the president was late to go to a fundraiser here in town. He stayed delayed his departure, so he could watch the end of the hearing. And then seconds after the hearing ended he tweeted that very strong show of support for break Cavanaugh. Ultimately, it comes down to whether this changed any minds yesterday. What's the what's expected during the vote this morning? Well, it certainly didn't sound like any of the mines that had been publicly declared had been changed. If Republicans had already said they were going four Cavanaugh. They still are Democrats who were not supporting him are still not. It's those undecideds the ones who have not said what they're going to do that are as always still in the spa. Light Jeff flake, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Joe Manchin, and Joe Donnelly names that we were always talking about. So today, it's a procedural vote in the Senate Judiciary committee is just a move. It out of committee says not the final vote that won't take place for several days. This is is there a plan b if indeed the cavenaugh nomination as long as the odds are goes down, the White House says no plan B, they're firmly behind Cavanaugh, and they feel good about where things stand right now. That said there are still a lot of votes to be had. And then there are still, you know, they have to convince a couple more Republicans assuming they don't get any democrat votes, which they still could. But this is gonna be tight could be very much down to the wire, this grip the entire nation. What was it like in DC yesterday? We've of goes townie. Yeah. I mean, I it's all anybody was doing. I mean, we were joking that like if you have a Fitbit or step tracker nobody hit their steps yesterday because nobody got up. Everybody was just watching this hearing and waiting to see how this played out. I was here. The White House very late last night. And I went home when there's a time where they're normally be no traffic downtown. And it was just bumper to bumper. It was raining, but you also have this sense that people stuck around till seven o'clock to watch the hearing just like the president did and then decided to head home. That's ABC's.
