Army of lobbyists helped water down banking regulations
"Recent bank collapses that prompted a federal rescue are a reminder of the power still held by Washington lobbyists. It seemed like a good idea at the time, in 2018 Republicans working with president Trump to slash bank regulations joined forces with red state Democrats facing grim reelection prospects. The group passed a bill that rolled back portions of the 2010 Dodd Frank law. The bill was marketed as a form of relief for overburdened community banks, but it also lifted the threshold for strict oversight and mandatory stress testing of large mid sized banks, it is now being blamed for contributing to the collapse of Silicon Valley bank and signature bank whose executives lobbied for the Bill, the effort drew an army of more than a thousand lobbyists, companies and trade groups specifically mentioning the legislation spent more than $400 million in 2017 and 2018, according to an Associated Press analysis, Americans for financial reform, a watchdog group says we can draw a direct line between the deregulation driven by the bank lobby, and the chaos of the last few weeks. Should Mike Trust Yuriy for Fashion Advice Ever Again?
"Here's a text message over my wardrobe. I knew it was too busy, Yuri, you put Yuri on air for me today. If you're watching on the sale of news channel, I was very concerned about my outfit. I bought a bunch of clothes a few weeks ago in South Carolina. I was visiting peg and Joey, and we went over to MH Frank and Clemson. And I spent a fortune on a bunch of sport coach and dress shirts. And I had a little bit of a loud outfit on today. It's kind of a plaid like a light brown and blue plaid, and then I've got a striped shirt on, and I sat in the studio chair today, and I said, guys, I think this is too loud. Yuri, I blame you. What did you tell me about the outfit I'm wearing today? Shakurov, our video producer. Tell me what your reaction was when I asked if this was too loud. I said a few things. I said, I like the way it looks. It looks very unique. It stands out and loud colors sometimes are the right decision. Okay, so here's Kentucky. Hey Mike, a piece of advice from a listener who watched the Salem news channel today. I saw you for the first time by a navy blazer where light blue shirts it will enhance your image to the level of your commentary. This outfit, according to Kentucky, is not enhancing my image to the level of my commentary, Yuri, do you not know I'm supposed to enhance my image to the level of my commentary? Well, that guy navy blue is good. Good one. It's a good outfit. Well, I've got a navy blue. You can't always wear the same thing. My go to outfit as well, but why wear the same thing every single day. You got 5 days a week, right? You don't think this is too busy? No. I think that guy's probably too scared to wear something louder than navy blue. He wants to wear boring navy blue.

Arizona Governor Blasted for Plans to Defy the Death Penalty
"Katie Hobbs, the governor of Arizona is now disregarding the death penalty sentences that have been handed down for someone for folks in Arizona because she has a problem with the death penalty. If you have a problem with the death penalty governor Hobbes, you go to the legislature and say, we need to modify or do away with our death in it. You got to do your job. We're seeing this with DAs all over the country, James. What is it that why have we gotten away from, you know, and I may be an old funny duddy here or something. I don't know, but the three branches, the two branch government system is what made us what is good as we are today. Why are we going away from it? That's a loaded question, isn't it? Yeah. But you see it all. Democrats. Republicans. Specifically about this situation. She's okay, this is the governor of Arizona. Yep. Making the decision to remove the death penalty from all of the inmates in their state. She's not going to care the executive branch will not carry out a death penalty center. Here's my question. The power. He could commute them. Okay, this is a question that I have because when you brought this up to me earlier, made me think of this and it's sort of terrifying. Okay? Yeah. She has the right to say, okay, everybody who's currently in prison right now, she can just say, and during her term, those people will not get the death penalty. Correct. Okay, let's say she loses the next election. Yep. Do those people, are they, are they pardoned or governor just say they get the death penalty? Yeah. If she doesn't change their sentence, and again, I said something wrong. Let me be very careful here. Some sites allow the governor to commute or pardon, okay? Some sites don't. I'll be Frank. I'm not sure about Arizona. So what I do know now is that she doesn't have that power. Frankly, it's even worse.

Was Signature Shut Down to Send an Anti-Crypto Message?
"We are in the thick of it. The last 48 hours have been some of the loudest, most contentious times we've seen since 2008. There have been fierce debates about whether or not to protect depositors at Silicon Valley bank after it was shut down by regulators on Friday, accusations that the venture capital class was fomenting a larger run on small and regional banks just to serve its own purposes. Genuine fear of larger contagion and intense pressure on the federal government to announce action to give small businesses and other depositors confidence that they weren't going to be out of luck based on who they chose to banquet. Out of the combination of it last night, there was finally an announcement about what was to happen with Silicon Valley bank. The TLDR was that the bank depositors would be made whole. The fed would use a fund already paid into by banks to pay for it. IE no taxpayer money, shareholders and management would be wiped out, and on top of all that, a new fed funding facility was being established to try to address the underlying issues. Oh, and also, by the way, signature bank was being shut down as well because of quote unquote systemic risk. Wait, signature bank you say? Wasn't that sort of the last remaining bank servicing crypto companies? The same one that had been under intense pressure for the last few months to stop servicing those that crypto companies had switched over to after silvergate announced a voluntary wind down last week. Yep, that's the one, and wait, you might also say, no other bank was preemptively placed in FDIC receivership before markets even opened? Even others, like first republic that we're facing even more scrutiny from investors, that's correct. It was just the bank servicing crypto customers that was unaligned by the U.S. government. I asked last week whether silvergate was a political assassination. I pointed to the gloating of politicians like Elizabeth Warren and sherrod Brown in the aftermath to the open letters from war and senator Kennedy and others that undermined confidence in silvergate back in December, and I also asked questions about why silver Gates FHLB $4.3 billion loan had been withdrawn so quickly after it was made. Even with all that, the preemptive shutdown of signature bank before there was a true bank run is even more egregious and attack on crypto by a group of regulators who hate it. Matthew Graham wrote this morning, I truly can't believe I'm saying this. I sound like some kind of conspiracy theorist, but I think at this point the preponderance of evidence is that signature bank was primarily an opportunistic anti crypto hit job. More likely more so than not.

Joe Biden Blames Trump Administration for Bank Failures
"And I'm not quite sure Joe Biden understands what's really going on. Cut number 8 plays. And finally, we must reduce the risk of this happening again. During the Obama Biden administration, we put in place tough requirements on banks, like Silicon Valley bank and signature bank, including the Dodd Frank law to make sure that the crisis we saw in 2008 would not happen again. Unfortunately, the last administration rolled back some of these requirements. I'm going to ask Congress and the banking regulators to strengthen the rules for banks to make it less likely this kind of bank failure would happen again. And to protect American jobs and small businesses. Look, the bottom line is this, Americans can rest assured that our banking system is safe. Your deposits are safe. Let me also assure you we will not stop at this. We'll do whatever is needed. On top of all that, let's also take a look at a moment to put the situation of broader context. We've made strong economic progress in the past two years. We created more than 12 million new jobs. More jobs in two years than any president has ever created in a single four year term. Unemployment is below 4% for 14 straight months. Take on paper workers is going up, especially for lower and middle income workers. And we've seen record numbers of people apply to start new businesses more than 10 million of them more than 10 million applications over the net last two years, starting businesses. Now we need to keep the program this progress going. That's what swift action that my administration over the past few years is all about. Protecting depositors, protecting the banking system, protecting the economic gains we've made together for the American people. Thank you, God bless you and may God protect our troops. Thank you. So look, anyway, look, here's the deal. They're bailing out this bank. They're not calling it a bailout, but that's exactly what it is.

Have You Ever Heard of the CFPB? John Berlau Explains
"Go back for just a second if you would, give us sort of the foundations of what this is, what it may be intended to be, what it actually is, and how everybody listening to this podcast is affected by the CFPB. Okay. Well, everybody is affected. Everybody who basically gets out of mortgage, the lack of competition, we had actually one of our co plaintiffs in a lawsuit. People and people that we were representing in a lawsuit against the CFPB longtime back that raised some of the same grounds as the Supreme Court is now hearing the community bank, which had not had a default in decades because they knew everyone. It was the state national bank of big spring Texas said that they couldn't make mortgages because weight of the red tape. And this is basically Elizabeth Warren said that you basically should regulate loan products like coasters that the disclosure was not enough. You would need to give a loan has proved to be faulty. I mean, never mind how we've given the way people use it a type of loan. The government needed to ban it. And you needed the consumer financial protection bureau just like the consumer product safety commission. I think about her analogy, especially now that the Biden administration wants to ban gas stoves for their own good. So it's not really good to have the government interfering too much in the market for kitchen appliances or from mortgages, but also one of the things that Barney Frank Barney Frank and Chris Dodd when they were making Don Frank was they put in and unaccountable head of this agency that could not be removed by the president, except for malfeasance. So it was not an independent board like, say, the Securities and Exchange Commission, federal communications, board and where you had people of both parties. It was like a cabinet secretary, but it was one that served a fixed 6 year term that could potentially outlast the one of the presidential administration. And on top of that, it was not accountable to Congress either because it did not get its appropriations from Congress. It got its appropriations from the Federal Reserve, the money the Federal Reserve makes from selling from selling dollars.

John Berlau From CEI Talks About the Economic Landscape
"To have you back on the show. I mean, lots going on. We're going to get to the CFPB stuff here in just a minute. But give me just sort of an impression. I mean, we've been talking about markets. We've been talking about, you know, over time when you've been with us before, that business issues and things going on in our financials. Where do you see us right now, John? There's a lot of folks out there that are still, you know, looking at the fan, they're looking at the now unfortunately unfortunately, having to look at it and getting into a political season, where are you looking at it right now? I look at the market, I never underestimate the initiative and entrepreneurship and innovation of the American people. No matter what politicians do to them, as my colleague Wayne Cruz says at CEI, we don't all politicians. You don't need a stimulus. All you need is just to remove the rocks on the that are keeping the garden from growing. And there are a lot of rocks, but people are find ways to get around them. And now with divided government with the Republican House, you have at least somewhat of a break and hopefully the courts that Trump appointed judges and maybe others who will see the who will take seriously the constitution will also give American entrepreneurs a break. Like in this case where they hopefully will place the consumer financial protection bureau some monstrosity created by Dodd Frank to be escaped the accountability of both the president and Congress under some constitutional constraints.

Rep. Scott Perry: Joe Biden's Failures Are Part of a Bigger Plan
"Today, I was on the main stage moderating a discussion between the chairman of the House freedom caucus, Scott Perry, and also another bona FIDE member of the House freedom caucus. That individual by the name of congressman Ralph Norman and you've seen both of them or you've heard both of them on our radio program over the years. And they're really doing a terrific job and waving that conservative banner. And we had a very Frank discussion today about what exactly conservatives need to do to fight back against Joe Biden. And congressman Scott Perry, he shared something as I talked about the many failures of Joe Biden and the Biden administration. And it was interesting because congressman Scott Perry says he doesn't believe that these are failures. He believes these are intentional attacks on America. He believes that there is a grand scheme here. There's something much bigger, much broader at play. And he believes this is all part of an attempt to weaken our nation. So he says, yes, Joe Biden may be addled he may be somewhat comatose, but the reality is that Joe Biden and whoever is controlling The White House and we've haven't been shy about saying it's either Susan Rice and or Barack Hussein Obama. But whoever is pulling the strings, this is all intentional. And as congressman Ralph Norman said from the main stage, the only reason Biden is still in power is the Democrats don't want giggles, which is his nickname for Kamala Harris. They don't want giggles Harris in the Oval Office.

We can not be deceived because I just saw Laura boebert come out and say that she's advocating for ballot harvesting. Legally, ballot harvesting. And I'm like, we two or three elections too late. You know, we should have been embracing the legal method of ballot harvesting a long time ago because the Democrats took advantage of a loophole that we wasn't even that we weren't even thinking about. And they got so many more votes than we did just off of that loophole, not any other reason. It's just because they saw it and they saw an opportunity took advantage of it. And I'm telling you, as the sheer is sure as I'm sitting here tonight, if Donald Trump doesn't get better advisers, he's going to lose. I don't know how many times I got to say this. "Right before they went into hiding, Otto and Edith gave Anna diary for her 13th birthday. While Anne was in hiding, she wrote in her diary every single day. She documented her thoughts and feelings. She wrote short stories in the beginning of a novel. In copied passages from her favorite books, her writing was wide and varied. She talked about her dreams of becoming a journalist or writer, noted her annoyances with her family, wrote candidly about her love for Peter van pels and described how her family managed to survive in hiding. In 1944, the minister of education of the Dutch government in England started encouraging people to keep their award diaries. Hidden this call and began to write in her diaries into one story called head actor house, which translates roughly to the secret annex. On August 4th, 1944, Anne's writing was cut short. The secret annex was raided by the police, and everyone hiding there was discovered. Along with thousands of other Jewish people living in the Netherlands and and her family were packed into cattle wagons and taken to the Auschwitz birkenau concentration and extermination camp. They left all their belongings behind, including Anne's diary. And her sister and her mother were sent to a forced labor camp for women. Then in November 1944, Anne and her sister were separated from their mother and taken to the Bergen belsen concentration camp. The camp was overcrowded, cold, and unsanitary. And Frank died there after contracting typhus in early 1945. On January 17th, 1945, Otto Frank was freed from Auschwitz by Soviet troops, along with the other remaining prisoners. In June 1945, he finally made it back to Amsterdam. On the journey, he learned that his wife had died. By July, he had found out his daughters had also died in the camps. Some of the people who had helped Otto and his family live in the secret annex, gave him Anne's diaries, which they had kept after the family was taken. As auto read them, he was struck by the death of Anne's writing. Eventually, I don't edit it and then published Anne's diary in 1947. Given it the same name that Anne had given it. The secret annex Anne's words captured the world's attention. Her diary was translated into more than 70 languages and sold more than 30 million copies. The diary was adapted into a Broadway play and a movie. In 1995, a new English translation of her diary was published, which included material that Otto took out of the original version. Additionally, in 1957, Adolf established the Anne Frank house, a museum that preserves the secret annex that Anne and her family lived in. Today, visitors can walk through the same rooms and lived and rode in and learn more about her story. Anne's diary documented her life as a young Jewish girl in the Nazi occupied Netherlands, helped expose the horrors of Jewish persecution to the world. Her words continue to inspire young people across the globe to fight injustice and fight for change. Anne was born in Frankfurt and Maine, Germany, on June 12th, 1929 to a Jewish family. At that time, anti semitic sentiment in Germany was on the rise. When Anne was four years old, the Nazi regime came to power. Anne's parents Otto and Edith Frank decided to move to Amsterdam in the Netherlands to escape persecution. Anne's father started a small business selling herbs, spices, and pectin, which is used for making jam. And and her family settled into their new life. And learned Dutch and attended the local montessori school. Then on September 1st, 1939, Nazi Germany invaded Poland. The Second World War had begun. Less than a year later, on May 10th, 1940, the Nazis invaded the Netherlands. After they invaded, the new Nazi government introduced regulations that limited the freedom of Jewish people. Jews could no longer appear in certain public spaces like parks, Jewish children had to go to separate Jewish schools, it became illegal for Jewish people to operate businesses. So Anne's father had to give up ownership of his company. As parents began planning to ensure their safety, there was an empty section in the building where Otto ran his business. And he began furnishing it. He realized that it was big enough to hide his entire family, plus the family of his Jewish employee. Herman van pills four of his other non Jewish employees agreed to help him and his family if they went into hiding. Then on July 5th, 1942, Anne's older sister Margot received a call to report to a labor camp in Nazi Germany. "Excited. I get to talk to a friend of mine, Frank turret. He has written a book with his son, evidently, Frank Turk has written a book with Zach turret. It's called Hollywood heroes, brand new book, Hollywood heroes, how your favorite movies reveal God Frank Turk. Welcome to the program and how does young Frankenstein reveal God? It's always great being with you, Eric. What a question. I always want to start out with a real jerk question. This is a Frankenstein book because it's my son and I together doing it, and he's actually now 34 years old in the air force. And already seminary grad, and he's a movie buff. So he said, dad, we got to do a book on movies, how they all point to the ultimate hero Jesus. They said, we're on. Let's do it. Well, a good movie, you know, has to conform to the laws of reality and to the laws of narrative and whatever. And there's no way you escape pointing to God since he's the author of reality. But most people don't know that, which is why you wrote a book about it called Hollywood heroes. Exactly. And we go through the big superhero movies, Eric, we're going through Captain America, Iron Man, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Batman, Star Wars Wonder Woman, and they all point to the ultimate hero Jesus. Superman's in there as well, by the way. Well, I'm not surprised to hear this as I said, but I'm happy to hear it. And I'm actually very happy you wrote a book about it because I think that there are a lot of young people that they see those movies. They like those movies. But they don't know why they like them. They don't know why does this resonate with me? Why does this make me feel good? So let's talk about that. Hollywood heroes, these movies point to God. So let's start with one of those movies. I seen very few of them. So pretend you're talking to somebody who doesn't know nothing. All right. Well, let's talk about Lord of the Rings. Have you seen lord of the things? I haven't seen it. But the orcs scared me. So I was my face was in the cushions for most. The orcs are like the wicked witch and Wizard of Oz, right? Yeah, you don't want to. But think about the biggest heroes in Lord of the Rings are the weakest characters. I mean, Sam and Frodo are three foot hobbits who would rather stay in the Shire eat 7 meals a day and drink beer. They're not the kind of people that are going to save middle earth from Sauron. They're just not going to do it, but they're the ones that do it. Why? Because Tolkien being a Christian said, when you're weak, you are strong. And so Sam and Frodo had to had to rely on others to help them in order to pull off the unthinkable that they were going to get through more door and put the ring in the volcano and all that. And somehow they did it because when they were weak, they relied on others. Well, I guess I should say, I'm not surprised that J.R.R. Tolkien would write this epic fantasy that would point to God. But it's worth talking about that more and then talking about the movies, the stories that were not written by Tolkien, which is, to me, it's even more fascinating because he got this stuff as he was doing it. I think a lot of these Hollywood screenwriters, they don't have a clue that when you tell a good story, you kind of can't help point to God. It's just what happens naturally. But you wouldn't notice it until somebody like Frank Turk and his son Zach pointed out. But say more about Lord of the Rings before we go to some of these other newer movies and newer stories. Well, what Lord of the Rings does is Tolkien didn't want it to be a straight allegory like pilgrim's progress, even chronicles and Narnia. He wanted to spread the Jesus characteristics among three basic characters in the story. Gandalf, aragorn, who is the king, the returning king, and of course Frodo, who is this weak character who actually ultimately saves the world by true weakness, which of course is what Jesus does, right? He doesn't save the world through strengths of strength, easy for me to say, strength of arms, he saves the world through weakness. So Gandalf is the strategist. He plans the Salvation, aragorn is the king who encourages Salvation in the people to try and ensure that the orcs get out of the way while Frodo who achieves Salvation can get to mount doom. This is kind of like a Trinity here, Eric. You can say, let me guess. This sounds suspiciously like the Trinity. And I think Tolkien kind of knew what he was doing. I think he did too. But the point you bring up earlier, Eric is a good one. Even these characters or I should say these movie writers who are not Christians can't help put Christian themes into their films..

Welcome to the Eric metaxas show with your host, Eric the Texas. Hey there folks, welcome to Tuesday. Tuesday. Now listen. My name is Eric metaxas. But I barely know that. That's how dizzy I've traveled so much that I don't know. I barely know my own name. I do know a couple of things that I am. Get this guy some robitussin. Sorry. I was in traveling everywhere and man. I am back. And I want to tell you Alban several quick things. Number one, number one, in this hour, I'm interviewing our friend Frank turret, who has written a book called Hollywood heroes, how your favorite movies reveal God. It is amazing. Frank Turk is amazing. So we have that to look forward to in a couple of seconds. Then we're going to air our interview with Jonathan Khan, whose movies coming out. Jonathan Khan is like next level, forget about it. Okay. But a couple of the things that we have to share. I wrote an article, I rarely write essays or articles. It's very painful for me. It's easier for me to write a book than an article. But I read something in Christianity today a few weeks ago that upset me so much. Now I don't read Christianity today anymore because they have really kind of slid progressive woke. And I don't know what happened to that magazine. But someplace on Twitter, I saw something and Russell Moore wrote an article that astonished me. And I said, this is so wrong. That I need to respond to it. So I responded to it. It is published at the stream, I'm asking you to go to stream dot org and to read the article, share it with anyone you can. Unfortunately, Christianity today is like that in so many quarters. No, I know that. But I've never seen it more obvious than in the article that Russell Moore wrote. It is just dramatically wrongheaded and shocking, actually, and condescending, and the irony I've never seen such irony. I mean, you read the article, it's that stream dot org, or if you get my newsletter, I sent it out yesterday in the newsletter. I've just got to share that with you. It is just astonishing what he wrote, and I respond to it. I hope correctly..

"And here's the thing, Eric. With the help of a marvelous operation called free roots at the time. A campaign was organized and 80 million actions were taken to impress upon those legislators that they needed to fix this, not just brazenly push it through. And this is the problem. When there was seems to me direct action taken in the capitol, quite possibly with at least the foreknowledge, if not the collusion, and Nancy Pelosi, the whole thing left the rails, and that was by design. Because had those 80 million emails and faxes and phone calls and letters resulted as they should have in responses by Republicans and Democrats unlike. Go back to the drawing board. Get this right, make sure that this was legally done this election. Well, the rest is history. I think we have a deeply flawed outcome there and we've had a disastrous and illegitimate presidency ever since. Well, I want to thank you for saying that because what you just said is correct. It is true. Very, very, very few people are willing to say that. And let me say to them, shame on you. Shame on you. Because this nation depends on all of us speaking the truth as we can and when you have as much doubt as you have, not to speak up is to speak. To quote what purports to be a bond hoffer, quote it's an amazing thing. I also have to say, Frank, I was profoundly disappointed. I don't know, some weeks ago, when former vice president Pence gave a speech on it was the federalist society, wherever it was, effectively saying, implying more than implying that Trump wanted pens almost like a political stooge to single handedly overturn the election in the will of the American people. That is a mischaracterization of the facts that is astonishing. It's absolutely astonishing deeply disappointing that Pence because it's one thing to have disagreements with president Trump or with anything. This is America. But to mischaracterize things and to imply that Trump was the enemy of the constitution in asking for what he was acting, it's simply astonishing to me. I'm not as astonished that The Wall Street Journal applauded and all the usual suspects applauded this pious virtue signaling on the part of the former vice president. But that's where we are. So it is all the more important that we speak the truth. We'll be right back talking to Frank Daphne. I need you. When you look over your shoulder and you see folks welcome back. I'm talking to Frank gaffney, Frank, I want to remind people they can find you at secure freedom dot org. And you referred to something which sounded like fun. Election fun dot com election fun dot com. People like you give me hope that the truth does get out eventually. I mean, I know that the truth will out that the truth does get out eventually, but it does, it has seemed very bleak in recent years because I think for the first time in our lives, we've seen the full force of, you know, call it what you will, the deep state, we've never seen because there's never been anybody like Trump really. They've been able to hide in the shadows and play patty cake and we've had people like George W. Bush and so on and so forth. Unwilling to confront them. And we've kind of been drifting along. I guess Mike Pence is one of those too, you know, that they have made some political calculations, but we're at a time now where I would argue that we have to deal with these forces that are, they have grown tremendously powerful, but as we started at the beginning of this conversation, you feel that the Durham investigation and some other things finally are bringing some of these things to light. Well, they've begun to I don't want to say we're there yet or even that it will necessarily go the distance. I just want to say I'm somewhat hopeful that it hasn't gone bust as I thought it had, frankly. But I just wanted to say something about the lead into this because Eric, I don't think the deep state adequately describes the problem we've got at the moment. It's important to be sure that bureaucracy and heaven's nose we saw it hard at work as part of this effort to take down the elected president of the United States. But as you know so well. I mean, you talked about your own canceling. Just a short moment ago on YouTube. The combination of government agencies, which are now being increasingly weaponized against the American people. By the Biden team. And a whole cohort of utterly unaccountable, media platforms, traditional social, some combination of the two, call them what you will. It is the connivance of the government and these entities that they can pretend are operating separate from them. But let's face it. In some cases, very explicitly doing the bidding of these elected officials or appointed officials seeking to silence those that they oppose politically. And it is a toxic brew as we've seen and it's put us into a point where you're right. Far too few of us are standing up and telling the truth and doing it, certainly not with the panache and vigor and tirelessness that you do. And I just want to say, I thank you for being one of my Friends and allowing me to be one of yours. It's a great privilege because you really are doing the lord's work. Well, I think you're too kind, but I want to say it's a strange situation when you find, you know, you find yourself being sort of a reluctant revolutionary. I didn't want to be the person sticking my neck out talking about these things. I thought there were other people who do that better than I do, but so few have that I have felt a responsibility to my nation to freedom to be talking about these kinds of things. It's just too.

"I wanted to talk a little bit about the 2020 election and you had something that sounds actually like informative and actually fun. So why don't you mention that because that's a good place to start? Yeah, you know, among all the gloom and doom in our world. And including some of the things we were just talking about, I just wanted to bring a little bit of light to bear here. Friends of mine came up with a project about a year or so ago. They got started on it. To develop a board game, think monopoly. To help educate people in a fun and entertaining way about the backstory on things like the Russia hoax and we were just discussing. And the summer of love, for example, and Hunter Biden's laptop and the COVID-19 drama with Tony Fauci, among others. And of course not least, the well, I think stolen election of 2020. But what they did that was so, well, path breaking, I think, and really extraordinarily helpful is that in addition to this game that, you know, you go around the board and you try to gather 270 electoral votes and you find out about all these shenanigans and the things that the Hillary Clinton campaign and others were throwing in the way and all the rest. But on, if you think monopoly, you know, the community chest cards in the middle of the board, where there's a deck of those cards, one for Trump and one for Biden and each one you turn over multiple choice questions that you have to answer. Very, very fun. And often slides side splitting. But a number of them have something really cool, Eric. And that is a QR code.

"That Hillary Clinton and her campaign are guilty of a third of the things that we're hearing, this is way bigger than Watergate. I mean, even comparing it to Watergate is laughable. If you know the story, if you know what wargame was and how much, you know, hay was made over not much. But there was a principle involved. Today, we're dealing with something that goes so far past that that it's scary. It reveals a level to me at least of cynicism on the part of Hillary Clinton and the people in what we now know to be the deep state that it's chilling. It's deeply un American. It's at least deeply un American. Well, I think the best way to describe it is the Clinton coup. It was designed to prevent the American people from being able to elect the individual that they wanted as president of the United States. And having failed to do that, thank God to destroy that presidency. In a way that is very cool like, you know, trying, among other things, to take out the man who was in the presidency. And otherwise, at every turn, for his initiatives or sabotage the personnel trying to implement them for him. And on and on. And let's be clear. It's not about Trump. In other words, it was the will of the American people that was being thwarted that was being sneered at and spat upon. That's what we have to be really clear about.

"Well, I confess Eric. I'm not sure I'm the best judge because I'd written John Durham off, frankly, some time ago thinking, you know, he was going to be at best trying to prosecute a couple of very small frisk fish and miss entirely. The whales that are actually seemingly in his net and I couldn't have been more pleased with his findings. Whatever it's been about ten days or so ago, yes now in which he indicated that he actually has broken the code. And that what has been going on here involves some very big fish. Arguably the biggest fish of all, and that would be Hillary Clinton, at least her campaign, and a whole number of people who worked for her on it who are now in senior positions in the Biden administration, notably Jake Sullivan, the national security adviser to the president, much in the news at the moment because of the unpleasantness playing out in Ukraine. But I have to say, I'm kind of holding my breath as I guess you are, too. Will he or won't he? Is he going to sort of take this the distance? And it's so doing and again, I'm very reluctant to put too much hope in this, given how ponderous this whole thing has been, but based on this most recent sort of indicting materials, I think he is actually going to help at long last, restore the rule of law in this country.

Stuck inside these four walls hey folks, I've got to tell you a secret about relief factor that the father son owners Pete and Seth Talbot have never made a big deal about, but I think it is a big deal. I really do. They sell the three week quick start pack for just 1995 to anyone struggling from pain like neck shoulder back hip or knee pain, 1995, about a dollar a day, but what they haven't broadcasted much is that every time they sell a three week quick start, they lose money. In fact, they don't even break even until about four to 5 months after if you keep ordering it. Friends, that's huge. People don't keep ordering relief factor month after month. If it doesn't work. So yes, Pete and Seth are literally on a mission to help as many people as possible deal with their pain. They really do put their money where their mouths are. That are front of mine for many people outside the beltway right now. How can our national government be faltering in its most basic functions on january six twenty twenty one. There was chaos in a presidential election at certification was threatened in the most serious security breach of the capital in modern memory. The southern border in the subsequent year even amid a global pandemic has ceased to function to a great extent causing great stress on our health care and other basic systems internationally. The us capita tragic defeat in afghanistan with the failure to competently even extricate americans and allied afghans and left behind billions and structures munitions equipment. And there's much more yet. No one is accountable. Frank distefano what is going on the quick answer to the question which will get into a lot more detail. I think today is that we are in the middle of a collapse of our political framework the political framework that has governed america throughout all of our lives and at the start of a essentially a political vacuum a political vacuum. That has we are leaders. Don't have the direction to act. We're seeing corruption and decline. There's a vacuum for people with bad intentions to exploit and that vacuum is caused because there is a disconnect between our political framework between democrats and republicans liberals and conservatives throughout the twentieth century. And the problems that we now face and that this is not a new situation. This is something that happened. Many times in american history and in fact is part of the the structure of our republic. This is People think politics in america. That is this left right spectrum. It's the same debate that we've had forever over time when in fact it's it's a process of of creation and destruction and then rebirth and we happen to now live in one of the periods where we're of of destruction and then hopefully rebirth in in refreshing a republican refreshing our politics and our parties..

Sinatra's the one with the bigger career for some reason nirvana's the one from seattle for some reason the beatles or the band that hits the big it's always the lowest common denominator thing that becomes the most famous and commercially successful thing. Yeah and the story in the image becomes bigger than justin bieber. What the music is worth. You have frank sinatra paved the for justin bieber the original the own g. The original didn't pave the way he'd like wrote the book for how to do it. It's pretty wild. Y'all think it's a coincidence. That bieber blows up as a teen icon..

"And that's what people <Speech_Male> don't say. <Speech_Male> And that's what coaches become <Speech_Male> really gifted at <Speech_Male> is being able to read between <Speech_Male> the lions ends <Speech_Male> uncover. Even <Speech_Male> what the client <Speech_Male> is understanding <Speech_Male> about themselves. That's <Speech_Male> the ford sign. You <Speech_Male> really are a great listener. <Speech_Male> And then the fifth <Speech_Male> sign is if in <Speech_Male> your own life your goal <Speech_Male> center and you love <Speech_Male> self and personal <Speech_Male> development. <Speech_Music_Male> So i will jokingly <Speech_Male> say whenever i go to a bookstore <Speech_Male> i go right to the <Speech_Male> self help section. <Speech_Male> I just spend <Speech_Male> hours and hours <Speech_Male> there. And a lot <Speech_Male> of coaches. They <Speech_Male> love the self help <Speech_Male> they are. They go <Speech_Male> to the workshops <Speech_Male> and they just know <Speech_Male> that they're lifelong learners. <Speech_Male> They never get tired <Speech_Male> of learning or setting <Speech_Male> new goals in their life. <Speech_Male> So i'm <Speech_Male> people that don't settle <Speech_Male> so <Speech_Male> that's the fifth science <Speech_Male> so i think that <Speech_Male> no matter <Speech_Male> what industry someone's <Speech_Male> in if they see those <Speech_Male> signs in themselves <Speech_Male> all that they <Speech_Male> need to do is now learn <Speech_Male> the skills <Speech_Male> that will allow <Speech_Male> them to take <Speech_Male> those science <Speech_Male> and it <Speech_Male> to put together a coaching <Speech_Male> business. That <Speech_Male> they can truly lot <Speech_Male> in those skills <Speech_Male> are <SpeakerChange> people <Speech_Male> with me academy. <Speech_Male> This seems <Speech_Male> to me <Speech_Male> like it's more <Speech_Male> about a <Speech_Male> long term relationship <Speech_Male> that you would have <Speech_Male> with your clients <Speech_Male> who are i guess would <Speech_Male> in. Don't <Speech_Male> believe they can do it. <Speech_Male> What's the turnaround and <Speech_Male> tom january. <Speech_Male> Or <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> good question. <Speech_Male> Ya so <Speech_Male> our <Speech_Male> coaches get <Speech_Male> certified <Speech_Male> and how their businesses <Speech_Male> launched within <Speech_Male> six months. Most <Speech_Male> of them <Speech_Male> enroll paying clients <Speech_Male> much <Speech_Male> before the six month. <Speech_Male> Mark we've seen a lot of <Speech_Male> enroll paying <Speech_Male> clients around <Speech_Male> month two or <Speech_Male> three. <Speech_Male> Yeah <Speech_Male> so that's something to <Speech_Male> know is that you don't have <Speech_Male> to wait until you <Speech_Male> fully get certified <Speech_Male> to start getting <Speech_Male> paying clients. <Speech_Male> We put our <Speech_Male> coaches on the fast <Speech_Male> track so they could really <Speech_Male> start working <Speech_Male> with paying clients and <Speech_Male> build their <Speech_Male> practice <SpeakerChange> as <Speech_Male> also learning <Speech_Male> frank.
