Yilmaz nets hat trick as Turkey beat Netherlands 4-2

"Let's welcome in craig. Burley julian laurent and moreno guys. Plenty of world cup. Qualifiers to discuss. Let's start with the pick of the day from wednesday in group g turkey a four two victory over the netherlands bracket mouse with the hat trick. Telenovela scored as well david class in luke. Diong the goal scores for the dutch memphis to pie missing a penalty late. See this was a crazy game to come out more impressed with turkey or disappointed in the dutch. Oh definitely disappointed in the dodge. Listen to the tux. Four shorts and four goals. Something something crazier so clearly. The game plan was to keep tight and try and catch jonah. And so for them. It was a perfect game for the dutch yes. They scored two goals away from home. Yes they got. Apparently but all of these things were when it was too late and with a possession. The dutch with the ball particularly in the attack in the did absolutely nothing with so going forward in some respects. They a blunt. Clearly we useful goals. You got problems at the back. Alley pre pandemic. I feel like we were talking about. The dutch is a potential favorite. Dr course at least for the euro's things have certainly changed under frank gore and you just mentioned the name that changed at all frankly war he gets a hold of this national team and it's my goodness this is going to possess the ball to that they're gonna pass the ball sideways and back but when it comes to being efficient in the attack well there ineffective. This is a team that in the first half. Yeah they had all the possession in the world but did nothing with it as stephen. Just alluded to it and then defensively. Not enough for incision not enough work in one v one situations almost prize that the turkish team was actually getting after an attacking them when there were opportunities to do so. This team has all sorts of flaws. But i think the biggest flaw comes from the top frank gore. I just have to say. I have no idea how he got his hands on this national team job and to me it looks like a guy who dosing match the personnel that he has available to him on the field. This team is all over the place

"Sharper. And I said Rome. Oh, what exactly do you put in that lean one or their roids in there? What is that, man? I feel amazing. He's laughed. He said no, of course not. And then he ran it all down. So I do Miss Rome. Oh, coming on the road and pointing out how soft everybody is How fat everybody is the fact that people are slamming chips and cokes but not us rapidly in one Roma will be here to talk about her number two right after that, In all the time Jungle legend, one of my favorite NFL hours ever. And in the case of a few of you, one of the most understood or misunderstood players ever. Frank Gore, Frank Gore, 10 20 Frank Gore. He have 16,000 yards rushing Number three on the all time list for watching CBS Sports Network. There is a graphic looking good. Frank Gore coming up in 1 20. Eastern can't wait to run him down something else that we do leading up to the Super Bowl almost every single year. We talked with Carson Palmer, a perfect guest at today because we're talking about two of the best quarterbacks ever in the matchup on Sunday. Carson Palmer will break that down what he sees with Tom Brady. How Tom Brady fits in that offense and Brady along with Bruce Arians. Ah, got to Carson Palmer play for Coming up at the top of our number three. We're talking America's team. We're talking Browns Football David and Joe coup. I also love that book. Because when you look the quarterback's like it's all about the quarterbacks for this game, right. Do not sleep on the tight ends. Travis Kelsey, Best tight end in the NFL right now, Gronk arguably the best tight end ever. Cameron break of the Bucks. So I'm gonna get a tight end starts on the tight ends. And in Cleveland, there's always that question about a joke. Who does he feel about his situation because he's planning a position that is really deep, really deep with Cleveland. Then at 11 20. Big head bets. James Kelly's been working this thing for two weeks now, and I know for a fact that he's been going back and forth. I had him late last night. Which, where you going? Which way you leaning? He's like, Do I have to tell you right now? And I said no big head. You don't have to tell me right now. It would be nice before you came on the air to let me know. But even if you're not ready to tell me, Don't tell me everybody good down, so everybody get down. So that's how it's setting up. That is the show. I'm live in Tampa. I'm in my own studio. "Ripping the Jaguars sit for ensuring the Trevor Lawrence's in Jackson. Yes, but you know, and and sad that rock is not here for us to, you know, go all in on the bear's still do need to, you know, potentially win a game to to make the playoffs and that would be against Green Bay. So Good luck with that, but they have scored 30 or more points in four straight games. You know how long it's been since the Bears have scored 30 or more points and four straight games. Well, I don't I go back to the Rex Grossman era. First on first and foremost in my mind. Is that it? No. You need to go back a little bit further. Are we going like Walter Payton era? We're good. We're going like Gale Sayers era. Wow, the 1920 60 sixties. Right. That's how far back you have to go for the barest to score 40 or 30 or more points, and maybe it's five. It's either four or five straight games. Whatever the street is, you're talking a lifetime. That that this has happened and the guy at the helm. Is Mitchell Stravinsky. I I mean, I'm speechless, right? I've seen a lot of Chicago media members come out and say it is probably best for the Bears to miss the playoffs so that they can go through with this organizational restructure because Daddy's coming back now and risk is gonna be your starter next year. Don't think that you could just run that back anymore. And are you really gonna trust this 45 games sample size? I think they will. Ultimately, I think they will. I think they've found something I would look. Even David Montgomery, who for the first year and gave up on him was Just a guy like he was a running back who put up decent numbers because he got 22 carries a game and there was no burst. There was no break away ability. There was nothing there to get excited about. Now he looks like a stud. So I don't know what has transpired in the last month plus in Chicago. But somehow that offense is not even remotely related to the offense, which was, I will say the most unwatchable in the entire NFL For the first eight weeks this season, I'm going into the schedule and the Jets like they were on watchable. They were so bad with falls at the at the hell I'm going to the schedule. Jaguars 41 17 Vikings 33 27 Texans 36 to 7. I see a trend. And lions 34 30 and the Lions won that game. So I think I have a inkling as to what transpired in Chicago. And it's the NFL schedule makers ensuring that Mitchell Travis Key will be back. Let's see how how he fares against the Packers and Going back to Thanksgiving week. He was a 41 25 defeat against the Packers. So that leaves you believe there was a little something brewing there. But before that, I mean, they only scored 17 points against the Titans, And that's not a defense that before that it was dreadful and whether it's Travis key or falls. It was absolutely Unwatchable. And before we Go to break. I do want to mention Frank Gore. Because he had 16,000 career rushing yards yesterday, well on his way to 20,000 on I brought this up to you before the show, I said, because he's out for weeks 17 with a lung injury, which is unfortunate because the Jets we're just now finding their groove, but Is this it for? Frank Gore? No. He will never retire. I refuse to accept the possibility that this is the end for Frank or I won't accept it. I don't think I will either. The yards per carry this season, 3.5. The fewest in his NFL career. So 3.6 last year with Buffalo in eight starts this year, 3.5 yards per carry 653 rushing yards. You get to exactly six that 16,000 for his career. It's beautiful. Sure will be nice to see him get to 17,000. So my my favorite Frank Gore. Memory is Keep trying to remember the year I was might have in 2012. It was one of the years that they won the NFC West. They went to the playoffs They lost. It might have been the one who was the Super Bowl year or not, but in any case Media members gathering in Santa Clara at at the stadium, Um, for the end of year, sort of press conferences and clean out the locker and that sort of thing. So you know I'm down there with them with Comcast SportsNet and I'm covering it, You know, doing the live shot, You know, we get our sound You took get sound from the coach and the players and everything else. 45 minutes later, you know, players have all gone. Everybody's gone. Everybody's back in the in the media room, just, you know, working on stories doing whatever and all of a sudden the media folks come in with a stack of like 14 pizzas. And we're like, Oh, wow. That's so cool. You guys are feeding us like Nope. Not us. Not 40. Niners Media Frank Frank Gore said 14 pizzas to the media to say thanks for covering us this year. And who does that? And you guessed it made 2007. No, no, no, I wasn't here in 2007. It would have been either 11 or 12 and stepmother. I mean, he's still under 30 years old and the guy I mean, yeah, I'm just phenomenal. Yeah, Like Frank Gore's. That type of guy reminds me of Jon Lester buying 37,000 beers for Chicago Cubs fans. This said about right from what I hear Halloween or whatever. Yeah. Anyway, so I refuse to accept that this might be the end for Frank. Or, um, he's back in 2021. I don't know where and I don't know. In what role But do it has to be back on the rocks. Let me consider this. You look at the 40 Niners running back room. Jeff Wilson. Raheem Mostert. Yeah. You need a third down back to pass protect. I thought about that. I mean, he's got to be more valuable than Jerick McKinnon. Even give you more than Tevin Coleman. The 40. Niners could do a lot worse than Frank Gore and I don't see it. I don't see this part of their plans, even though he one day will retire. Is the Sanford School 40 better? I just hope it's a one year contract instead of a one day contract to go. There you go. All right. We do need to take a break so we can come back and set the scene for Monday night. Football bills. Patriots Scott Reese carry Crowley knbr these sports leader. "I mean, that was obviously something we haven't done all year. And you could see them getting confidence. It almost felt like it was one of those bodies swap movies where the Jets in the RAM swapped uniforms because you're thinking all they're putting pressure on the quarterback and making big plays third down, Converting And then you realize that the Rams are not who we thought they are, or were certainly in that game and Frank Gore Frank or I think had 23 carries. I don't even know if he had 60 yards. But what what happens is you run the ball 23 times. It's your controlling the clock. You're putting pressure on the defense. You're keeping the defense out there. And Frank was able to do them and you know you saw who they went to in the last couple of plays. I think the last four or five plays. It was all Frank Gore. And Truly an amazing story that he's doing what he's doing at that age and doesn't shy away from the moment Sam Donald played well, and the defense put a lot of pressure on Jared Goff. Just if you're a Rams fan, you're going, uh Wait. I thought we had moved past games like this. Because Jared Goff did not look well. Not in that fourth quarter. And I know it was close, and they could have won that game. The fact that there were saying boy was close and they could have won that game. It should have been close. But itwas And you know, there are moments there every season. Where you go. How did that happen? Where somebody loses or somebody wins? That was maybe the Rams moment. But You know, Seattle won. Arizona won. The Rams have to continue to win here. Yeah, pulling And the Jets didn't have defense quarter coordinator Gregg Williams to help him out last second, they didn't have any move. They didn't have any guy who would be massive mystic about it. Yeah, if you know, golf, golf at a like, you know, fourth down and 22. Then they would have sent the house there. Then maybe the Rams could have won that game. Yes, Todd. The score was very misleading cause the militar third quarter was 22 3 Jet. Thank you,.

One yard score with 1 43 to play with Patrick Mahomes took the chief 75 yards in a hurry. A 22 yards square. Travis Kelsey afraid. 35 31 victory. Casey, now nine and won three games clear of the Raiders in the A F C West. The Bangles lost again yesterday 29 to Washington and far more importantly, they've lost Joe Burrow to at least a Tauron left. A CL NFL network says there might be additional damage. Even against the Jets. The Chargers flirted with blowing a double digit lead. Yes, sir, but this time they hung on the staff there. Three games scared 34 28. Justin Herbert tied Burrows rookie record with 37 completions 16 of them to Keenan Allen. The Jets meanwhile, are Oh and 10. Someone get frank or a win. We think about that every day. You know, we got to get one You know, Um you know you don't want to go on 16 especially, you know, a lot of saying especially this might be my last year. I can't go out like that. You know? Hopefully we'll just try to get one man. I can't wait till we get it. I'll be so happy Ad. Oh my God. Heartbroken Frank Gore's like I just want to win one game. I just want to win. I just don't want to go out on 1 16. This is so sad. It's not Frank Gore is had five years to retire. I'm not crying because young on until he was 47 years old and now is on a known 16 team. Frank Gore's been There are lives Wait too long. I'm not crying. Pity. Now he's going out over 16. You should've retired four years ago, and the only reason he's there by the way. Member is because he's buddy buddy went out. I'm gay Saruman forced to retire. So the boo the coach that loves you sucked in your own 16 don't feel pain for Frank or and I hope his son out. Russia's somebody's playing for if a you or wherever he's playing class act, Frank or nobody's ever said a bad thing about Frank, or he overcame a brutal, vicious injury in college to become one of the all time leading rusher to the NFL. Total class active professional never complains about anything. He's gonna go. Oh, in 60 to this final season, saying I just want one when I just don't wanna go out like a total loser and rise like, Ha ha ha ha ha! Who cares? It's right. That is right. This hard part Lish. The guy could have retired every year when Frank Gore surfaces We make the joke in the in the air or frank or found another team. Has this guy still in the league? And now, after all that we're feeling bad is going on. 16 retired. Nobody told you Go play for Adam Case. I hope it week 16. He does retire so that he isn't going 16. He could go over 15. And then just I just can't imagine a scenario of the final two months from sitting ago. Please give Frank well more when it gets serious. The Jets by the way, officially eliminated from playoff contention yesterday with the Colts. Wow over the Packers, so they've got that go well, so the veteran playoff contention until Thanksgiving. You're very. Which is shocking with a little six with teams in the A F. C the math work out that way. Yes. So I guess they would have had to go six and 10 or seven and nine. Yeah, I guess. "Fourth. And this is against the Jets just becomes forthe three All Star office number. 46 still fooled. Everybody on the Broncos pointed jets. No one on the Jets was appointed the Broncos. False start on the long snapper. Who the hell does that? Say? Who? 2020 Denver Broncos. You still don't believe me. There was a battle between the two dumbest teams in the league. No, there's Adam Case the alleged mastermind dialing up wheel routes for Frank Gore. You know, it's not. I'm not here to pass. Frank Gore. I love Frank Gore. And nobody Defense Frank Gore, like I defend Frank Gore and all your stupid paint by the number of quote unquote jokes about him being overrated, are tired. Really an original really unfunny and pretty stupid. A man Frank Gore is extremely talented. I'm just not sure that scheming wheel routes for him is the best use of that talent. And and and do not get me started on the end of that game. There was so terrible yet so awesome. It's going to get its own take. Yet, despite all of that, despite sucking all season, and for most of last night, the Jets still somehow some way had a chance to win that game. Down to they turned the ball over on downs at their own 43 with 1 48 left. Get a couple of stops. Use your time outs force upon you got chance to win this thing, And in that situation, the Jets do what they always dio. They dug deep. They manned the hell down. And then they allowed this to happen back in front of Gordon Gordon bounces off the initial tackle, and he looks to the left side 35 30. According to the 25 sheds another.

"I'm not taking any heat for this. I tell you that that Emmitt Smith Mark is just it's untouchable for the way that the NFL is the way that the league handles running backs. It is just it's not going to happen. And here's you leaving more years if he needs to. Frank Gore's 37 years old on this third all time. Adrian Peterson is 35 is that mentioned in fifth all time, Gore still has 3000 and eight yards to tie 3009 to break him and Smith. With the New York Jets and Lady on Belle there. Maybe maybe in two years have a chance to pass Walter Payton for second, and I'm talking about Frank or but But this is what's what's amazing and this is why I say that the record is untouchable because once Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore do call it quits, and I don't think that they will pass him it, Smith The next active running back on the all time rushing list is Lashaun McCoy at 11,000 yards like that? He'd go. Hey, he go and think about this after that. Mark Ingram with 7000. So that's where you are in the NFL. The guys like you know Todd Gurley, who had great starts to their career. We see how they end up the 18 you know, 100 yard Russia for you know, three years is just it's not my will happen. I will having a National Football League. I will give you this Dan Dan. Buyer I will concede this to you. If Adrian Peterson or Frank Gore, don't break Emmitt Smith's record, not having it. I will agree that it's untouchable. It is It is Ted Williams hitting for 400. That's what it is. I mean, Ezekiel Elliott, who has had a great start to his career, and likely would have had four seasons of 1000 yards or more. To start his career. Without that six game suspension, not giving them a pass. Just numbers has 5405 yards, so he's 13,000 yards short. Of what ever it Smith has it. She said that it's amazing. And I think we were in that running. You know that running back era where you know Emmett did pass Walter Payton. But remember, we remember Walter Payton breaking Jim Brown's record and and having Barry Sanders come, you know, be one of the top running backs of ofall time, if not the best. Try to make a push. We? We grew up in that era. But now when you see how the NFL is, Yeah, it's just not happening..

"Man I got this year to take a break let alone must be exhausting you know cash and all those big paychecks yet Frank gore third on the all time rushing yardage list the fifteen thousand three or thirteen thousand three hundred with the thirteen fifty fifty thousand three hundred and forty seven as Larry mentioned getting a one year deal with the jets whenever his sixteenth season is is able to start Frank gore is thirty seven years old guys can he get to number two he's only thirteen hundred yards and change away who is not gonna do it one year but I was just about to say it's gonna take a couple of seasons that would be but I mean it would what would is would be smart to say that he couldn't if he's given the opportunity and people still keep different jobs that's the thing is that it's not that bad but separate gore and our team because we could sell some tickets because that's not the case that's not a slam of Frank gore but that's not the case is that let's put Frank gore and our team because he can mentor the young running backs or whatever I'm sure that's a part of the deal but Frank gore's getting these jobs Miami buffalo now in New York and New York with the jets he's do these jobs because if they could help him win I think you could help him do you know do whatever needs to be done at the running back spot so for me I think you'd be foolish to say that he couldn't get to number two on that list getting thirteen hundred yards over couple or maybe even three years just because people keep giving them jobs and I don't think that's out of the ship justice your kindness of their hearts yeah you could I mean look there's a guy that's a fifteen years as a running back in the NFL so yeah I wouldn't I wouldn't count him out I'd make him a significant long shot to get that many yards if you go by what he would have last year he'd need into his third season from now you'd have to be a running back in the NFL when he's thirty nine and that would mean he'd have to do what he did this year which is get a hundred and sixty six carries and get five hundred ninety nine yards so I may probably not but who knows you know maybe I'll be the first running back to the play when he's forty I mean this guy just keep these energizer bunny out there just keeps going and go anyway it was a respectable wouldn't great three point six yards a carry but that ain't Imad that's not bad they're not terrible stays healthy yeah he has referred to worry he don't miss a lot of time where do you guys rank Frank because it's not he there clearly better running backs that have fewer rushing yards everybody would freely admit that it's not like the whoever's got the yards is the best but like like is he like four forty niner fans universally say that Frank is the best nine a running back of all time or would you give a little love to Roger Craig because the it's it longevity is undeniable with over but where exactly he's like one of those guys it's hard to know I mean obviously going to the hall of fame and that's just no doubt but the the the where exactly he sits in the great lineage running backs we know where he sits on the list but worry actually ships those are two dramatically different places what Roger creek was ahead of its time the Roger creek we saw back in today running kitchen for a grand each is a guy right now look what they gave Christian McCaffrey you know what I'm saying so it's it's you know if you want to just talk about your pure talent Roger creek was again ahead of its time for Gorsuch to different due to the freight gorgeous kind of a your your prototypical running back you can give him the ball if you choose to which didn't happen a lot right now but you could give the ball thirty times a game if you wanted to he stays in on third down he blocks I have to go back and look at Frank's receiving numbers you know to try to think about it in my mind's eye you know watching him play I I don't I don't think it to me you know catching the ball in making some things happen out in space that's not to throw shade on it this is not the type of running back he was so you know maybe maybe it would take you know a bigger niner fan to me to really make that judgment but I mean when you just kind of talk about talent Roger creek is pretty special but French.

Multiple NFL teams removed Tua Tagovailoa from their draft board

"The hatred for to a total of a lower is at an all time high after the past couple of weeks of where do you draft two of his hip his hip his hip his tip is the big concern I wouldn't track to be sliding down draft boards he could go was as high as third or as low as twenty third which trust me that is not happening all the hate culminated tonight in at culminating in the all the hate coming tonight with a report of two was Wunderlich which she took it came back with a score of thirteen and now I can't get over and it's haters because I just have to say haters because of the way things have been going and I'll get into why but it's haters who are just continually jumping up and down on to and how all yeah I don't know if I could read about it if I can draft all right first of all let's deal with the hip he's got a clean bill of health right now okay he's healthy he is healthy could you get it in four years could something happen with his hip yeah put in four years a guy you draft instead of him could be out of the league right there's a risk in every single player you take in the NFL draft there's very few perfect prospects will the last perfect prospects pose it was Andrew luck I think was the last guy that got the highest grade that Kashmir was was Andrew luck and before that I think it was Peyton manning I did with over the last couple of guys to get perfect grades coming out of college there's no such thing as a perfect prospect all right the thing is the thing what people fail to realize with two a is that when you can talk about someone that's had injuries it's tangible it's black and white so it's easy to say well I would worry about him because you know we could wind up having an injured hip in a couple yeah you could you know other guys could wind up getting hurt too but because it's an injury it's something tangible that I don't know the hip could given problems you know it's not tangible the fact that the quarterback might not be able to make his second weakness progression mark Sanchez may not be able to do that and that's going to find a guy out of the league faster than a guy who's good with a hip injury there are so many risks for quarterbacks but we we focus on the physical because that's what we can understand what all the evaluators you see we have a filter they're looking at if they're picking everything apart why is this guy going to be able to travel to the next level because he's able to go through his progressions quickly or he's able to put the football in a place where only his teammate is going to get to it look Joe burrow it made a meal out of that this season only putting the football where his player was going to go get on LSU there's so many things going with there's so many risks for every player there's just as much risk for Justin Herbert because the guy could be a bust all right I want to play some games last year your chase a locker for on with us earlier this week he said there's a couple of games he looked like a high school kid playing quarterback he looks so bad last year everything to what has done on the field physically has shown you he is the tag for to a guy he is the most talented quarterback in the NFL draft and how I know what's haters when it comes to everything now you have the Wonderlic score out here of thirteen thirteen is not the worst for the world there's been guys with scores in the single digits and you know what some of them it has to stop Frank gore I think got a seven on the Wonderlic and he's going to the hall of fame so it's not like you just because you could have low score thirteen I think he took it before I got a nineteen on it when he was at Alabama together thirteen now his score is absolutely fine but all this jumping up and down on to a is all haters and it's all pushing is his value down and it's not fair because what's not being talked about by the same people that are like a draft to again as a present what about all the other things he brings to the table what about all the reasons why you would take of that height with considering what he can do physically what kind of arm he has what kind of accuracy has how strong his arm is how you can get outside the pocket all right his attitude that so far has been the best part of it no one's talking about because he's taking all of this eight and he is not imploded he's not explode is not blamed anybody he he is just trying to let people know I'm healthy right so this is a kid who's healthy could be hurt later on yeah but like I said the the risks for other players are out there too as long as he's healthy now he is the most talented quarterback in the draft there's no reason why I wouldn't take him I I I said months ago I would take him number one overall other people came to the party late on that congratulations it's good for us so I would take him number one I told you as always gets a clean bill of health I take a number one because he's that good the people are forgetting he was that good and if I'm a team in in the draft and I need a quarterback I am happy as hell with this is going on right now because this means the price to move up for him is going to be less and less because the lines are open for business at three and the giants are open for business at four and if teams are going to get scared away and there will be teams scared away of two a because of his health because what whatever reason because now is the time when teams talk themselves into things they don't need to talk themselves into the competition to move up to get him is going to be a lot less so a lot of teams that need quarterbacks you're not hearing from they are happy as hell right now still to this around that yeah yet continue to hate to us so we can go up and get in and get a franchise quarterback and be and be set for the next

Frank Gore passes Barry Sanders, hits No. 3 spot on NFL's all-time rushing list

"I'd like to talk about a player on the bills. Offense the man they call the inconvenient truth Mr Franklin Gore now I understand that people who watch the NFL are generally loyal to teams and not players and that everyone has different allegiances. But the fact of the matter is if you don't root for Frank Gore at this point you're just wrong I'm sorry but those are the rules. Gore has been in in this league for fifteen years and on Sunday he passed Barry Sanders to move up to third on the all time rushing list another gift decor by drew over the left side. He gets closer. The first down is down at the forty one yard line. That's a gain of seven and that is enough record is now the third all time leading rusher in NFL history. How about that? You saw it here today folks along with Emmett Smith. He's one of just two running backs to start in over two hundred games with remarkable. Not only because he's thirty six years old when he began colleges quarterback Josh Allen was five but because he's conquered so much for those who are unfamiliar with his life. The story. Here are the broad strokes core grew up in poverty and his mother suffered from addiction. He overcame severe learning disability to get to college and once he got out there he tore his ACL twice and yet fifteen thousand two hundred eighty nine yards later. He still here about a year your ago. I was asked to participate in an NFL insiders panel where we argued why various player should get into the hall of fame. I made the case for Gore. Are The reason why he isn't a shoo-in is that despite his longevity he's never really achieve dominance at his position which I understand but even if he was was never the best he has always been great historic matters deeply to the league into everyone. WHO's been fortunate enough to watch him play? So here's hoping he makes it to sixteen thousand yards.

Quick-hit thoughts on the Patriots' win over the Bills

"Patriots sixteen to ten win over the bills in Orchard Park. The bills made this a game after a very slow start but there would be no magic when Barkley Barkley replaced an injured Josh Allen Greg who bravely locked up the Patriots in this kind of didn't see a lot of offense on display in Buffalo. No you asked you know going into this game. The bills make a statement or did the Patriots do Patriot. I guess it's both because the bills made a statement they made Tom Brady look worse than any has in in a long time. This was his lowest passer rating since two thousand six in a game. It's the most passes he's ever thrown in a game without getting to two hundred yards didn't even get close closely at one fifty. He was under fifty percent completion. They had seven drives where they went three and out they had only a couple apple more where where they got one first down they did nothing offensively and late in the game they were inside the five yard line with a chance to go up to scores and and they smartly kicked a field goal and I thought that was bill belichick saying this bills defense is is too good for us. We need to just go up six points. That's the kind of defense buffalo played but they get a special teams touchdown they knockout Josh Allen in the fourth quarter and they do a lot of things defensively on their own to get the Stop ATM in my tracks the decision fourth and goal to go for it because it feels like a patriots thing that they would go for it and since the moment but you're right they had that much faith the defense which they should be doing defense is incredible and the bills just weren't moving the ball. I mean you locked up New England but if someone had told me that you would have held Tom Brady eighty two three point eight yards per attend sub Gabbard so if you would have given up only sixteen points to this offense and if Frank Gore would have run for one hundred and nine yards at six point four yards spur Kerry I would have plucked up the bills. I would've thought they're going to find a way to they're not an explosive offense but find a way to get seventeen points. I mean the difference was the punt return touchdown. The Patriots scored the Patriots offense only scored ten bills offense scored ten and the Patriots Defense was very lucky to hold the bills to only ten because the bills did do a better job especially in the second half moving up and down the field but the situational defense that the Patriots have especially in the red zone with Jamie Collins and Kyle Van Noy and everything that they can do was really special today. You're tipping your tap. Your tipping your cap to a good bills defense and a well coached team. But how much of this does it raise any red flags for are you on the Patriots offense. It's a long season. I said going into this game. I didn't think their offense was nearly up to speed their offensive line. got pushed around. I think this the bills defense had a great plan for them. I mean yeah they have to be. They're going to be a different team in December one way or another whether they're better or worse. They're going to be totally different the fact that they we're able to sneak out a win was

"From the forty jumping into the Liberal songwriters as a free player so it appears right. I do feel good about the way were progressing and. you're very positive to be up here again. yes Randall with still haven't played a sixty minute game on offense yet where were you know kind of click in the entire game. Packers are now three known as Aaron Rodgers points out the offense has not played a full game yet instead the defense has been fantastic six sacks of Joe Flacco three turnovers produced by the Packers defense and it was a pair of Denver fumbles that lead to fourteen points off those turnovers for Green Bay the Packers moved to three you know and they've got company in the NFC north both the Vikings and the lions have to weigh ins the bears will get on the field again on Monday night so that north division is turning out to be a buzz saw we like it better that way it's after hours with Amy Lawrence here on CBS sports radio how bout in the AFC east where there are pair of teams that are ADQ three and and one of them of course is going to get a ton of attention while the other may be flying on the radar a little bit and I think that's okay with the Buffalo Bills. Frank gore in the table the I'd demarco is the full back here we go third and goal from inside the one game on the line Alan under center takes it turns gore driving forward. is where you go for the touchdown and the bills get back again with a minute fifty to play everybody on their feet this place is out of control twenty one seconds that builds up by for the snap don't go throwing.

"Only way to get out of this pain is to stop doing your job and find something else to do so I commend him for that committee for being honest and giving giving other people a platform to say Hey this is what I've gone through and within that within a week and a half and that then you're gonna Craske talking about the pain and suffering that he dealt with that towards the end of his career and to let people hopefully just the people that have common sense to listen to these guys and say you know these are people these are people they get a chance to play a game and I can't do it for ever and and and god bless Mister able to walk away on their own terms my fear response to the entire topic since this came up and then finally the other point you made I think this is critical to your saying listen he's not dead this is not a eulogy he's just done playing football he's only twenty nine years old right he's got a lot of life to live absolutely need a fascinating person and he's going to he's going to contribute to society because that is who he is he's his so much inside of them the the football is only a small part of it is a big part of the fun part of the fun we all apart and we all enjoyed but there's so much more to this young man I know he's going to contribute something great society going forward Stanford wanna know their number twenty three in both polls next challenge is Saturday night Stanford is at U. "You want them. the meeting you on TV yeah I think the reason you're the one that drove it up so I love it you have to twenty five percent I ran into a guy only the other day if there were it was and the guy comes up to me and says Papa. that's stupid hard call the. hello there was it was August the twenty nine. stick around for September manpower but you blow your big chance you get lots of kisses and I hope. that that's it by the way most people when they responded the other eleven percent a lot of two the the feedback was I don't care what you do is long as you do it like four or five times a game it's just a manual none or one exact as it most people are sick of that's the key exactly touchdowns a gamer they average about twenty one a game last year yeah Ramseur thirty five or thereabouts the chiefs. that she ever that she's getting shooting a core of his anything above thirty guide a game wow Gary plus I'm it might do the same thing they don't have a dominant back into you know they got a couple young guys in there that are are not bad advice my son to draft our when Thompson and Frank is small man because I thought he was gonna leave behind Amy will. he looks like Jamaal Charles as they were the same number but I I thought he's got to get some touch is I'm not sure the very first came out but boy issue we were talking on the phone Friday who's gonna be the biggest name cut over the weekend no shared in the hallway yeah you know why they cut him because a Devon single Terry partly lane Kevin's guy other one now that is right for Frank gore is the main reason why the leave of who would you trust more to grown with the guy they call which is like the motor and I could just have a janitor who would you would you want to have trust in that room on those lazy a guy named shady. right. right go. gore's unbelievable you have you have certain guys in sports very landers this way and bring you through the no hitter over the weekend certain guys just are throwbacks and they just keep going and going and going and going and that that's right over there later is a different result he he is but still it's just like these guys. by the way Frank gore's got it on the whole thing. right I buy we've had this debate for years but I mean as long as he's played now he's going up on the list well he's gonna ERT past Curtis Martin late last year. and he's got a fast very Sanders now right well yeah we're talkin we're talkin Emmett and sweetness she's gonna be number three right at a very early I think about that well I I he's already I was right now. how many arches we have digitally passes about five hundred not many about five for him is he going to be the lead guy will he stay healthy I don't know but I I honestly don't consider him to be a hall of fame talent as far as your your availability but when you factor everything in. he's a three down back in effect he's done it so long and it just of the pure mathematics of it I'm I know will you be a first ballot hall of Famer I don't know but I think what once she gets those five hundred yards in his number three all time behind Emmett Smith and Walter Payton that is my nails he's gonna go plus years ago whether or not I like it or yeah he's gone plus here's the thing about it is that he ever just four point four yards per carry in his career Walter Payton average for for Emmitt Smith average four two Tomlinson for three baddest three nine. Eric Dickerson for for me that was for for his grown okay it was a five one JM brown five one someone there Jamal Charlie Jim Brown five point two I mean that's all Charles higher Jamaal Charles was driving the elite illegally the best ever Jewish point seven. okay once you have four seven take away San Francisco day let some quick twenty fifth the average is four and a half. yeah he's a different player I mean he's a jump Qatar and you know and he knows him from filling the how bout them just get shooting the coroner left so I don't believe you yeah if you see anything left he wasn't good last year but he's if he's got something left come out office comma we have a two seven and carry less. I'm just saying you can run in this the best third I don't care what you have to watch every flight seeing it all on for shady McCourt could jump cut with you know with Adrian Peterson early Danny enemies that kind of player so whenever I'm writing about him that drives me nuts is the way he he holds the ball and what happened consistently he will not talk that ball away just drives me crazy buddies yeah I remember him fumbling a big situation or ever not that much the issue eighty though. by the way let Danny Thomas and six of the list I he and I rode we're the only two in the elevator when you're leaving the game the charges all jackets yeah we're just sitting there and I had Dan Fouts NLT in that both the spirit yeah I didn't see anything till we just wrote down very quietly didn't say anything. you can give the finger all say no I will always go why don't you allowed to play with your whole career I could never see your if you we could a senior eyes you would have been nearly as good yeah I was gonna add the only thing I was thinking about asking him as I was writing down is is lots of the black hole silly thing they need the NFL deal no did a new deal with the how much this year obviously and turning around is that yeah that's some cut where they they are allowing some chanted I'd shields I did see that discount American again once I wouldn't give window quarterback no matter what kind of a no matter what Shannon you can't like I remember Jim McMahon had it but he did have a document I condition but you should be able to give quarterback Michael Vick ever have chanted one how we have the class I think you tried I think Vic tried to have the two did what I think you might have had it and three seasons and then the next it he got a bill to read the correct size you can't do that and the running back yeah that's a huge and it's a big advantage really had a position as a money manager Mike single Terry with attended shield yeah samurai Mike yeah you're going to see those eyeballs she worries look at no way all right we're gonna talk to bill Laskey coming up next we talk to bags we talked mainly about Pablo Sandoval we may fitted a question or two interested Pablo gonna ask about Tyler be the rotation next year the pitching what he's seeing we're gonna all those things with other coming up next only here on these boards a. you've come to the Papa John.

"A way. and number ten it's Frank gore it's always Frank gore as the eyes are friends with a lot of talk shows say he will be fifty years old and still be giving you three to have yards in a cloud of dust somehow some way on every play some of the other name yeah we have here players over thirty that I mean I think there's two that were not in Mike's a third of thirty here I'm just gonna list out the other ones over thirty that are not in the top ten Larry fitzgerald AJ green Michael Crabtree golden Tate was Sean McCoy I Adrian Peterson Jimmy Graham Vernon Davis Richard Sherman vernal avis might make the over charity list of this Richard Sherman ginormous Jenkins Malcolm Jenkins Josh Norman Melvin Ingram in dhamma can sue so those are some of the other ones that are over thirty that we had an off and the defense again at goal to win go on throwing who you think maybe should be on the third of thirty so the top ten list the big disagreement there's there's two names I think you can make all the first thing I would really say is I would probably put von Miller little higher yeah well I might even put him in front of one of the wide receivers out well for what he has done but I I'm I'm fine I I'm as far as leaving off it's so tough to leave later for Cheryl off a list it is good money so I I don't know I I completely agree all these other people are gonna be a good team I agree with that I agree Frank gore I agree although buffalo could probably be sneaky good either who's your beef track well I feel you got me there's a couple I think first of all because of the position he plays I think Melvin Ingram has to be on that list somewhere. she is a pass rusher extraordinary and what we say in in this day and age one of the positions quarterback I have gets a quarterback I protects quarterback many guys wouldn't bother over any the pastors I have on take it off now can Jordan glaze Campbell JJ watt via mail or maybe call is Campbell maybe call is Campbell and again I think you have here since Smith rated a little high I would put a pass rusher like vinyl over her status I don't know man hears and what he's meant to that Vikings defense specially built. no denying and speaking saves me valuable I would I would I think Malcolm Jenkins would have to be that was the one I struggled with between him and John Jackson towards the end that list what my eagle representative would be but I think I've had offered to could be fun to watch the Jack this year a lot of what a big bodies in that offense he feels the need for them I got one that we miss you.

"Come out of inner city of, of Oakland really an NLP to that Stanhope area and just give resources and give hope. And I think that's t- that we have guys do that. Moore signed his whole crew doing it, and I just want to be a part of that because we have a lot of guys from the bay area that have been successful and we're all looking to try to give back and help out the same thing. You one last thought there have been so many great athletes to come out of Oakland NFL was NBA, when you were coming up, who some of the guys from the area that you looked up to. Oh, wow. I think tar Glenn who played for the coast for a long time to vote championship. Jason kills another guy those surprise to kind of come to my mind. And I'm pretty sure if I think it is a bit of other guys that were, you know, five fifteen years older than that. I would've looked up through plan and play the league and a lot of great big will he played his college ball in Cal? He was drafted way back in two thousand five out of Cal a two time. The warriors are not at home there. Have the home court for the first time, they do not have Kevin Durant. You've got to contend with Leonard who might be the best player left right now a big ask this is not going to be easy for Golden State. They're favored without Kevin Durant. But that is not an easy. Ask. All right. So we'll come back third hour. Just twenty three days left in the smack off. You are running out of time, watch parties being added a new,.

"Next thing, you know, it's fourth and thirty for Indianapolis. It's fun to sort of observe all the games taking place at one time. I Lamar Jackson throw to somebody attempt to throw titan Mark Andrews, hit a defender in the back hawk the mar a thrower is still a work in progress. Yes, worker progress is putting it lightly. I mean, he just has to, you know, a lot of time with quarterbacks no matter how good or or, you know, whatever the scouting report says about you. We can't see you at your best until you're comfortable. And when I watch him throw the football when I watch him try to dissect defenses. I don't see a guy who feels comfortable yet. Which is why I think you've. Verse two running a lot because that's the thing that makes them feel the most confident so he asked to become comfortable as a passer, and then we can kind of make the determination of whether or not he has the ability of the thrower right on cue. I see him rush for about eight yards for the Baltimore Ravens him or Josh Allen. Who's been the more impressive runner to you. Because Allen's doing it on non design runs. Lamar. The design stuff. Yeah. I mean, I think they're both impressive. I think Josh Allen is just the one that surprises me more. I didn't expect him to be able to Russia the level. He is because he didn't Lamar Jackson had incredible Russian production. Yeah. We knew it. But not nearly what Lamar Jackson exactly we've got an update here. Coming up. We have an update from the Bengals do we have this. We have the update yet. I'll take it myself Joe mixing the Cincinnati bangles on fourth down plunges into the end zone. Hawk fourteen. Nothing to fight Marvin Lewis. Now that they're getting after man didn't after China China. Make a case here. Trying to make the case are the Bengals for I don't know maybe saving Marvin job like that. To write technically. But it doesn't look good five eight they are technically in hunt. But it's gonna take a lot of work. I guess like are they playing are. They playing to save Marvin job right now is that is that your interpretation of what's left in this season. It's a very good question. I'll have to take the break to to figure out. Okay. Good enough wants to talk about that later on throughout the show. We continue to see if they can lay it on the Oakland, Raiders, the raiders who've been frisky recently, not so frisky today. The Bengals are like you don't come to our house tried to play our game and win. Instead, you might lose her down fourteen to nothing. We have a ton of actual again nine early games in the NFL not necessarily a ton of marquee matches put me and hawk. We make a marquee for you and coming up next. We'll tell you can the Vikings continue to have the good offense times rolled. That's next operation of upon ESPN radio the ESPN app.
