"Credit Union postgame show. Hey J, which along with Dave Toller and Air Force head coach Frank Cerrito. Rory stepping in putting on the headset right now and ready to talk a little bit about this one. Um are you on Frank? I don't know. I might. There we are. We had to plug in there. Okay. 62 Final score. Mercyhurst wins it. You guys are pretty tired. Bunch out there, you, Frank. I don't know what it looked like, Move here. Well, you had a good start, and then we thought maybe you ran out of gas a little bit. Yeah. You know what, Uh, right now way had a lot of things to work on it and again. I I used the same cliches all the time. But you could buy everything at Walmart except experience. We don't have a lot of experience. And ironically, you know, um, of the goals that we scored. I'm sure you guys are your crack numbers. Guys of all the goals. We scored Nisa in this 65 game road trip. How many were scored by my freshman. Most of them quite a few of them. I mean, I don't know. I thought you might have had that You guys thought you might have talked about that on the air. But I mean, Gavin had the two tonight again. Correct? I mean, like, so, uh, you know, hey, were We are. We are young and we are thin and we talked about it again. It's pretty well document and, Ah, lot of it has to do with self inflicted wounds up. We've got some guys in the lineup that should not be in the lineup. They should be apprenticing right now, but they're getting a great opportunity to be able to get out and get some experience improve themselves as Azaz young players and, you know, we just need to continue to stick with it and battle and develop players and play for our seniors. And and ultimately again. We always I talk about it. I talk about the time. But you know what can we become? You know what kind of team can we be at the end of February and I think I think for sure to say that we ran on a gas a little bit, uh, would be an understatement. We played five games in seven days. That's would be taxing on You know on Ah ah, on the Pittsburgh Penguins, and it's uh, it certainly was taxing on us, but also give mercy her Some credit. Uh, you know, we saw them play last year. We eliminated them in the playoffs. And this team does not remotely look like the team that we played last year in the playoffs. Obviously, they've utilized the new NC double a rules to get their transfers eligible. They brought in three guys from Alaska. Anchorage. Um, you know they There's a lot of guys that were on the ice form that aren't even around or they're sitting up in the stands. They got a boat. 10 or 12 guys in the stands just like Niagara did. So we're playing against, you know, we're playing against a deep team. I don't want to say they're an old team because they've only got two seniors and I think you know what? Ironically, they got two seniors and And I believe those kids are listed. All of them The NC double A's gonna give all of them another year. So so it all those juniors and sophomores are really, really sophomores and freshmen, you know, for for all practical purposes. But no, We're up against it every night and we didn't. We don't really have the option to switch some guys out there. Some of our guys that just aren't physically ready to play back to back, let alone five games in seven days, But we got no, We got no choice and ironically, we get an injury to one of the guys that is big and strong enough to play the play the five games in seven days. With with Bennett Norland, but with us Hey, our job is to coach our team and we need to improve. We need to get better. We need to play for our seniors. Ultimately, when we get to get to playoff time will be playing for them to see how we want to keep their careers alive for a Zilong as we possibly can. And we need to develop some young players for the future. And to be honest with you, Uh, that's jumping for your press release toll is is to make note of of on this five game trip. But you know how many? How many Don't even know Offhand. I should have totaled it up. I thought you guys would have it. But how many goals did we score? In this five game trip. And of those how many school were scored by by freshman and underclassmen, and I would be willing to bet a dime to a dollar that the answer would be the majority of them for sure. So priorities when you get home one of things a little rest for everybody. Well, I mean, uh, well, we'll go home and we'll have Ah, traditional week we're going to get back fairly early tomorrow, which is good. And of course it czar me weak and you know, army and we're gonna be battling army to get out of the basement here. Were there were in the bottom and there are just right above us. So you know it those games ever disappoint and you know, and with everything that's going on Nationally, obviously, uh, we play by the same rules as wet West point. So, so we're going to be all playing against a team that didn't That that that basically like I said, is there are rivals and they play by the same rules as we do, and and we're gonna go out. And obviously that's a big series. To me aside. I mentioned to the boys, you know, first and foremost with our game tonight, and then the second most important thing is being the best team we can Going in the playoffs. But thirdly, the most important thing is our game this weekend with with West Point because obviously, you know that's a big that's a that is a huge syriza. For both teams, and especially both senior class is the senior class it at at West Point. I'm a senior class and air force..

"To you live from Niagara Falls, New York J. Witchy with head coach Frank Cerrito Oriana three freshmen who scored goals their first college goals against Niagara on Sunday and yesterday. Our guests on the show we just heard from Brian out of Next up is Nate Horned Elk River, Minnesota number 24. 5 11 £160 by way of the North American League and Minnesota and, uh, now a freshman at the Air Force Academy. No 80 song reference, Frank for Nate. You got one. I know. But you gotta be able. You gotta be able to come up with something with horn. If you gave me a little bit of Ah, advanced notice. I could have come up with something. Yeah, something we could use on the air. Did you get those Saturday night? Live Stephanie? A little bit of a little bit. Yeah. OK s o. Alka River. Minnesota was well, you know, you didn't know where California was. Do you know where Minnesota's I know where Minnesota is? I'm not sure. You know. Where would you know where I'll be? Okay? I'm gonna ask. I'm an asshole. Arnie is Elk River. More city, or is it more North Moor Northern or is it more city more city? Do you think so? On down around the twin cities? It's about 45 minutes north west of Minneapolis. Yeah, Okay. You know what? The border you know what I think? Don't like when I watched Alka River play hockey. You play your style of play and just the kids. They're more blue collar than the city slickers. And you guys are I think you play more of a northern Minnesota brand of hockey. Then you do a city style personally. Is that a fair statement? Yeah, yeah, that's true. And you like your dad's from Brainerd, right? Yeah. I mean, so like Brainard ain't the city. I've been to Brainerd. You know, we're Brander Do yes. Yes. And And you've got The way you play like you're you are. You're a little rank rat. I mean, like you have fantastic instincts. Um, like you've got great hockey sense. Like that's that's not something that You know that, like just comes naturally It comes from years off, playing on the ponds and playing free and and, uh, and again like he you play hockey like a northern Minnesota rank rat and that and that, and that's a Old school. You know what I like. I like no, I sure don't want to say, you know, put say he's chucked Alice. But like he's one of like one of those kind of guys. I mean, one of those noise and we haven't had Many northern kids on our team. We've had some kids from or head. We had Spanky letter from Elk River. Um, we've had a couple kids from Duluth. But we haven't had many Northern Minnesota kids, but we got a northern Minnesota rank rat on our team right now, and you can see these always in the right place at the right time. He knows where to put pox. You know, place box the goals that he scored right place at the right time. How about that about that shootout goal that he scored yesterday? Yeah, keep to shoot up. It was big time. But I remember going to watch and Nate, uh, play with the wilderness, And you think it's cold in? Uh you think it was cold in here? Remember? I like I was that fucking drinking. Cloquet is a nice pot. You could hang meat in that place. I remember cracked. I couldn't wait. For the For the periods the and sometimes so I could run in the hospitality room and get something to eat warm up for the next period. But how is that for you? Did you enjoy going up to cloak a cloak ain't a whole lot different than Elk River, is it? No, it's a pretty similar. I love coke capital of the world. This was the team was awesome to me. I think On the juniors from high school is definitely a big jump. It's kind of reality. Check my first year I got injured right away. Got scraps quite a bit. It was. It was kind of Ah. No, my I still like what hockey really is outside of the high school hockey bubble. And then I think it kind of makes you wanna work all the harder and then the next next two years, I found a little more success and then Um, but, yeah, I know. Over the those three years were great to me. Um, you go into Cloquet, who are who are the two greatest hockey players ever to come out of Cloquet? Minnesota. Wasn't Corey Millen. One of them Corey Melon. Good job. Birdman, Who's the other one drunk? Who's the other one? Who's the other one? Who knows? They have me in the ring. He knows my brother Jiang, Jamie Langenbrunner. Okay, That's not good. Old northern Minnesota rink rap stars that made it all the way. You know what You know, like you know what? I horny? We have to throw Derek Plante in there, too. Oh, yeah. No. Yeah. No great little hockey tone Cloak a great little hockey town. But, uh, his journey would be a little bit more simpler because he grew up in a Minnesota. You grow up in your town. You play in your town all the way up where we're be a jumped around shit. He went to Chicago for a year, You know, And, uh, where his deals a little bit different, and he didn't leave home and tell already didn't leave home until the, uh went and played juniors. But tell us a little bit about The jump from junior high school to junior hockey and then from junior hockey to college hockey. Yeah, no High school high school was awesome. We had some good teams. I play some Some of my best friends are playing some big time hockey. Now, as it was, it's fun to watch that. But I go to Junior's is definitely an adjustment..
