So maybe, Mr Cuban, if you're listening, you could come up with your opinion on that, too, Because I know you're a big supporter of the Olympics. How about the special Olympics? We're gonna take it out of special Olympics to let's move on down the line. I mean, it's getting late, and I have a feeling I have a feeling. The ultimate goal is to eliminate the anthem not having any more, don't you? It sure seems like it. And if that's the case, what would you like to replace it with? Get that someone got a choice. God bless America. Sounds good. I'll go with that. That's still like the national anthem on the Marine. I have no time to remove that national anthem. And you both times you were talking with your cold heart. I don't know his name when you were going back and forth about it. And you guys were kind of joking around. And that really bothered me. I remember. I remember because I suggested because of the comments of Ron Kegan. That the female polar bear that was killed by the mail was was engaged with other polar bears, if you will, and so I just simply made the suggestion. Oh, she was cheating. It was tongue in cheek thing. It wasn't it wasn't meant seriously. Yeah. Yeah, well, I kind of thought, But then you know, because they were mating, you know, are attempting to mate and these animals are magnificent creatures are and no doubt there. You have no argument. Yeah. So I just felt that it was Disrespectful to the polar bear and to the zoo itself. Maybe I'm wrong, but I That's just how I kind of took it. You weren't totally laughing. But and then you came on a second time with it. See, man, I don't know his name and you talked about it again, which is fine, but what impression what he said. He said he made a joke out of it, he said. All the bipolar polar bears and that that's what really got me the most. Well, that that's just a play on words. Yeah, I wouldn't take it too seriously. Nolan Finley made it when he was on the show earlier this morning, that that really we've got tol consider That they gain experience, the longer they're in office. When he said, Well, you know how you know how does that happen? Also, there were people that planned to do things the day before it was gonna happen. There's You know, That's also a part of the defense, but I just wanted to make one more point. You know, Democrats really used the low bar when it comes to a lot of things. You know the peach mint process. Spying on Trump, even when he was a citizen before is Election and all that. The Republican Party never does anything like that. They never reached that low fire and so like right now, if my dad was a Republican, the Democrats were probably hire 16. Republicans are Yeah. 16, Republican lawyers to, um Investigate Biden's influence from China and Russia by closing the Keystone Pipeline. Now that we have to buy oil from Russia and China, I mean that's that's the kind of stuff that they do. Yeah, exactly right. Never do that they would never Stoop that low. Well, you know how long How long do we have to hear about? We need to see Trump's taxes. We need to see his taxes. Well, if that's the case, you know that you were that interested in that. Don't we have to see Joe Biden sources of income and Hunter Biden sources of income and how he qualified for those jobs. House $5 million. Do that with what do you make 200 grand a year. For people who are still trying to get this resolved, so he still is is battling on behalf of the president and thinks is the indicating he thinks he can overturn the results. No, I think We're past that. You think he just tried to? He's just trying to make a point that there was there was something that we need to look at for future elections. Yeah, as a post more than what actually happened. It's really interesting. Yeah, there's you know what? There's nothing wrong with it to make sure that future elections are are safe. "Frank Beckmann Show News Talk 7 60 wjr. Welcome back into the program, everybody we're going tol be taking your phone calls until the top of the hour. 808 590957, let's I want to get Christine here real quick, Okay? Because of the Super Bowl yesterday and the ads and like I didn't think the ads were quite up to snuff and his probably because they're there were not as many clever ones involving animals and things like that, as there had been before, or big, big gatherings of people laughing and throwing parties and the like what you saw in ads in years past. Because of covert. So things were a little bit different, but not for Tampa Bay. A Chris you there, by the way. Yeah, I want Frankie. Hey, do do you know the lions have been around since 1934? Okay. I don't know what Tampa Bay came into existence. Buccaneers team. Don't have that in front of me, and I don't have the chance to look it up right now. But do you know camp Obey. Now, In the last Let's see. The last 18 years has won two Super Bowls and the Lions have not been the one that Tampa Bay that's true. They beat the Raiders back in 2000 three's a Super Bowl when Jon Gruden had been traded from the Raider, says the coach to Tampa Bay. And now they've done it again with Tom Brady, who came there is a free agent and joking around about renaming the town. Tampa, Florida If in honor of Tom Brady, I'm gonna be shocked if that happens, But who knows? Stranger things. Look, I think no doubt. But here's the thing. You look at what what Tampa's been able to do over at least then they're two Super Bowl runs. David quality coaches. They've had quality coaching staffs. Tony Dungy built a winner down there and then and then Jon Gruden was just the one to push him over the edge on then you bring in somebody like Bruce Arians and his really incredible staff that he's got down there, led by Byron Leftwich at the offensive coordinator spot. And then you kind of bring in Tom Brady to throw you over the edge. So they have a lot of talent down there. And it's just about quality coaching. And they've had it over there to Super Bowl. Run so good on them. Yeah. Okay, So what'd you think of the ads? Yeah. Look, I I'm not I don't ever. Yeah, don't put a whole lot of stock into the ads. I'm or there for the game, but make you Yeah, I was not. I was not taken by any of the acts like I have been in years past. No, I think there was maybe one or two where I thought that that was okay. And then they have the rest. I thought kind of stunk so Did you like Springsteen's and for Jeep? No. I thought it was completely political. I've heard it described it. It's you know, it's all about product. That's got nothing to do with politics. Oh, yeah. Then why did we? Why don't we throw in the line? Several times re united States of America. Why was that? They're my favorite. My favorite part of that commercial Is he talked about having you know the two really two folds for me one. Why Bruce Springsteen is now a cowboy. Apparently, I thought that was strange because he's from Jersey and then being from Jersey You're one of those and what people would consider that liberal bastion on the coast, right? So you've got you've got somebody from Jersey? Uh, advocating for the people in the middle to come to them. I just I thought it was all phony. Just felt it just felt it just felt phony. But I thought it was completely political myself and I I just American to change that opinion and No, I love born to run by Springsteen. It's one of my favorite songs of all time, but I gotta tell you, it's he's also very, very political always has been, and he is way way to the left, Okay, and that's fine. That's fine. But I mean, let's be honest about it. Let's not say all those which a great ad that wasn't political at all. Yes, he wants political and he wrote it. So you know, Itwas So what? Meaning it wasn't political? Yeah, they're claiming it wasn't political. That's a re united States of America. Yeah, okay. So there you go. At any rate. I just want to throw that. I love the Toyota at those Jessica long the 13 time Paralympic gold medalist that was very touching and moving. And, uh, remember that one? Yeah. Go to go check it out. Check it out that line because it will be available to you. Jessica Long is her name and also How about the halftime show? What a stinker. That was. It wasn't quite up to standards of years. "Frank Beckmann Show News Talk 7 60 wjr. All right. We're back. As well. Especially forget the snow out of here. Quickly. That's coming late around. Let's go toe. Yeah, that's right. I don't We're going to speak screaming about it. Come, it's afternoon. I guarantee it. Let's go to Finlay, Ohio right now. Jim, you're on the Frank Beckmann show. Good morning. Thanks, Frank. This is Jim that the down by the old mill stream you back to the mills, and there really is an old mill stream. Everybody it is in Finley, Ohio, runs right through the finale. Country club, too, doesn't it? Yes, it does. Right by there on the golf course you probably played on that. I probably lost the ball there. I once refused to give Japan McCarthy a 2 ft putt, and he missed it so way had a bet going to so he wasn't real happy with me. Oh, yeah. I just had a comment you're talking about Oh, Biden's policy of switching all the cars over to battery? Yes, Way have 50 governors. 23 of them are Democrats 47 Republicans wondering just how soon the 23 Democrats will be get their marching orders, too. Want each state of each of their states to follow along the same suit, and that'd be quite a By the task to undertake I think it's coming, though, don't you, Jim? Well, I hadn't thought about it. I was listening to you this morning that that I they probably going to get their phone calls and your governor. What's your name up? We're going to make it announcement this afternoon. Who knows? She may be one of the first to stand up tall and Proud to follow suit. Yeah, she might be. And you know who knows the message might be you see, I found a way not to tax you at the pump. I told you in that debate. I wasn't going to raise taxes on fuel. And now I don't have to be O instead of a gas to. Actually, they'll probably just switch over it. Pretty soon we'll have a charging tax. So it's more or less be the same. Have the same. Oh, yeah, you know that there will be some sort of tax Tonto subsidize the government. No question. Yeah, that That was my comment, though it just be interesting. I'm staying out of the group. We have there in D C right now. But Jimmy, let me ask you this. Are you gonna go kicking and screaming into the electric vehicle Future? Uh, I don't mind the change over. I just this It's not really done for that reason, you know that And I know that that's a control issue truly. When you start could do with one of control all the weather and the climate and try to tell everything in your life is based on that. And I'll tell you now what to do so exactly well, you know what If you're telling me you can control the climate of the world That you are all no, you You are presuming that you were God. Then I'm sorry. That's that's about a month because we do not have that kind of control as human period. That we don't appreciate the call. Thank you. Stay well down there and Finley and let's go to Northfield. Now in Vince, you're on Frank Beckmann show. Good morning. Good morning, Frank. How you doing? Certain. Great, sir. Your retirement. Appreciate that. Thank you. Nothing is going to change. Basically, how you're going to be charged for electrical is this could be a credit card at a pump or something like that. And both. The vin number is all going to be tied to the cloud. So any time that you go ahead and plug in either at work at a pumper at home Your vehicle is going to be tracked. It's gonna be debited out of your bank account. Okay, just like yours. If most people pay their bills, their phone bills get debited out of their accounts. So if you don't see it, you don't think about it. Basically, it's going to be a requirement that you have a bank account that is tied to the vin number of your vehicle. You go to work. You plug it in. You get charged it come home. You're gonna plug it in..

And you know if you got to charge your car, though, That's you're just going to do. It doesn't matter what time it is. You're not going to say Well, consumers doesn't want me to do it now, because I might miss something else up there. That's not gonna happen. "All right? I don't know there. Let's you're the first caller was really brought it up. So if others have noticed it, I don't think they let us know that's that's all I'm saying. So thank you. And we'll we'll find out whether other people notice the same kind of irregularities. I guess you would say good luck, Bill. We thank you. Did you call DTE by the way? All right. Well, that would be my other suggestion called DTE and make sure you complain to them as well to customer service there. Rochester and Judy. You're on the Frank Beckmann show. Thank you for holding your next Take that as a bad sign that I heard a telling their Yeah. Is this Judy? Central ammonia they can. How are you? Frank Beckman here. Good to have you on the show against her. Well, two things. One is I've had that same problem with DTE. They told me that I'm using more energy within a month, then they then they regulate and because I use more energy in one month, and they think I should get charged that the higher rate so that's a common problem with DDT. They determine what we should use, Not what I'm willing to pay. Well, one last thing regarding the Super Bowl party. Um, me and my friends are gonna follow what Dr Fauci and Joe Biden and the rest of the experts. Charlotte, us. No masks, no social distancing. No limit teen and gatherings. What I'm talking about. Hey, I know what you're talking about. Since we know that Joe Biden, the Democrats stopped your Fauci. And others in the medical field. Don't find it necessary to wear masks, social distance or limit their gatherings. Why should we? That's a good question. And then you see the governor of California going.

"590957 taking your phone calls until noon and depth. Then calling it a day and turning things over to our news department and Rush Limbaugh for the next three hours. Good listening all day and we're counting on being back with you tomorrow nine until noon on the Frank Beckmann show. We love getting your phone calls, and I want to do that right now by going to Sterling Heights and Barb. Thank you for holding Europe next morning. Good morning, Mr Beckman. It's Brian, Please. Okay. We have a family to Catholic school. You know, e understand. Attorney Steve didn't call me Father. Frankly, let's call your father Frank. So don't promise. Sister vibe. Okay. Okay. So my my My only have a comment. I believe I want congratulations on your retirement in your grandchildren will save your life you my husband would do. You'll tell you that, but Um, Anyhow, my husband and I have been listening and all this talk about suing these lawyers or taking away We're not taking a viral get him out of the barrel. Yeah, taking their licenses away based taking her license anyway. Correct. And my thoughts are I haven't heard this anywhere else across the country so Are they trying to make a point? And then once this If this goes through here, I believe it would spread through the country. My question, and my husband's is what they didn't go after the Democratic lawyers who, um Whenever we went, you know after impeachment for Trump And, um The Russian collusion stuff. Well, good question. I mean, the Russian collusion, especially in the how many millions that we spend on the Mueller investigation, you know, And that was exactly right. Something like $35 million, so You know, there was there was money spent on that side, too. But you're absolutely right. That's ah, That is a proper comparison. Right there. If you're going to be consistent than you've got to do it on both sides of the aisle right? Otherwise it's not a legal system it Z punitive system. Correct. And I do believe it'll spread across the country if it gets through here, so we just have to be stopped here. We shall see her. Okay, Barb, I really appreciate that. Okay. And you thank you for the call. Really appreciated for listening to the program. Let's go to Canton now. And Ryan, you're on the Frank Beckmann. Chill. Hello there. Hey, Frank, Um, so drugs linking to a story about the differences between state governors and how they're rolling out the vaccine, especially in regards to underserved communities on like Using Texas, for example, between North and South Dallas, South Dallas is very black Latino community and they were giving them some vaccines. And then in these in these very poor Black and Latino clinics. Also in there, seeing a flood of white people that they've never seen before, because they had the access to the league from the high speed computers and the transportation and they're basically flooding and grabbing all these vaccines and little clinic. So like what? We're what we're trying to give them to like these Old 75 year old black ladies and you know, and they were trying to, you know, white guy, right? All right, And so they were trying to find ways around. The Texas governor said. No. Any Texan can go to any clinic they want and otherwise, you know, it would be racist. You're targeting. Towards based on race, and I'm wondering that's AH Republican governor. I'm wondering like a stay, and they were also saying, like states that have more liberal governors like ours would be like, Are they going to be targeting towards like communities like Flint, where There's definitely more likely to get the vaccine and not be having good insurance. And are we going to see a bunch of white people heading to Flint to get in? Is that how you on a moral level? Is that okay? Well on a moral level. I don't agree with doing that to you. No, no, I don't either. But I mean, if you're trying to protect your family and you and you know, I don't mean you make a lot of justifications. There's like that couple that you know, I hired a private Charter jet and flew to Yukon Territory and took a vaccine. It was going to go to their get an 80 year old indigenous, you know, Eskimo woman, and they they got shit. Publicly. Shame for it. He lost his job is a big Canadian. Casino tycoon right? Whatever, In the meantime, you much You don't know what you don't know what's happening to the people who didn't get the vaccine in the meantime, and who might have been protected from the virus that way, so it's just it's not good behavior. It's it's improper to do that, I think and unethical, organized a little. How it is because it really hasn't happened here yet, But I'm sure there will be cases where you know like they're getting using. Flint is an example. Where all the sudden you're going to see a lot of people from, you know the whiter parts of Flint. Going to these if they find out, you know, because they have better access to the Internet, so they're going to find out quicker. There's vaccines are available. And then get to these places where they really would never, ever ever right. I don't describe that kind of behavior unnecessarily to the race of the person but to the to the soul of the person. S o. You know, desperation? Yeah, Exactly. There is a desperation out there. And so some people are willing to do anything right now because they believe that got to get that vaccine. It's the only thing that's gonna save them. And they'll do anything to get it. And so sadly even hear stories like this, All right. Hey, listen, I appreciate the call. Thank you for bringing up the issue. I think it's important to talk about. Let's go. Lavonia real quick. It didn't at least one more with Bill. You're on the Frank Beckmann show. Hello. All right. We lost built. There You are. I've been receiving letters from DTE last week, four months stating that I've been using more power than my other neighbors within a one mile radius and this is due to the new meters that they installed during the Obama administration. And one of the days the things they said when the new meters came in, If I wanted to opt out of the new major, so I had to pay about roughly $10 a month more, But I just don't like the idea now that they were monitoring my house and my usage of power. So I'd like to see what some of your other listeners have to say about that..

"Frank Beckmann Show News Talk 7 60 wjr. All right. I'm gonna get back to your phone calls here at 808 590957 on the Frank Beckmann show. We're with you till noon. And you know, I think what we gotta do today because the restaurants are open for the first time is go out to eat today just to celebrate and to show our support for our neighbors who You know, put their their livelihoods on the line when they invest in businesses like that in our communities. So after all that they've been through here in covert, with shutdowns ordered by the governor. It's good to have them open, at least for a time and you know with still face some restrictions, but it may be time to go back and help out our restaurant owners ensure support for them in our communities. And for all those people who work in those restaurants and you know their livelihood comes from that. So I'm happy for all of them this morning, and I think I will celebrate by going out to eat. I think that's a good idea to encourage all of you to do that. If you can. Let's go to the phones right now. 808 590957 in Pinkney lead things off this time around. Here's Bob. Good morning, Bob. Hi, Frank. How are you? I'm very good, sir. Thank you. Thanks for calling. Thank you for taking it. Um, I was feeling I was going to sell my truck and my wife. Uh, she knows more technical stuff. And I do so she put three pictures I took of the truck. On Facebook marketplace and they were rejected and I couldn't figure out why. Well, it was said something that was objectionable. I confer. It's a truck what could be objectionable? Call my son. He says, Dad, do you have the green Marine license plate on the front bumper? I see. Yeah. It will take it off. They took it off. Take another picture on. Why put that on? And bingo. It was accepted. So I guess what was objectionable is that I was a Marine. I don't know. E. I mean, that's just that's staggering, isn't it that you could be you could be canceled for something like that sort of serving your country. I know. I mean, imagine if they were under attack. They're going to see some Marines front and center, you know better. You bet you So don't worry about me. Thank you for that service, and I I wish I could say I don't believe it. But I do believe it these days. Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. So Well, thank you. And you're gonna enjoy retirement. And good luck. I appreciate it. Thanks so very, very much. If I find out my golf balls, I will. So thanks so very much appreciated about. Let's continue on the phones here. 808 590957 will go to West Bloomfield right now, Brad, you're on the Frank Beckmann show. Good morning. Good morning, Frank. Um Let me ask you a couple things before I get to my point. Yes. Go to the restaurants. Number two chief Craig for governor. I think we spoke a couple weeks ago and I said Mark Hackel. And Mayor Duggan. But I think we could add Chief Craig to that list is well, so any other person tell you that? Oh, yeah. I get the feeling he is well respected throughout the community. I really do. Despite the activist, you know, we're gonna mouth off against everybody, everybody in authority, so he almost discount what they say. But I don't think they're their views are the popular views, and I think the popular view is that this police chief is one of the best we've ever seen in our lifetime here in Detroit. Absolutely then probably one of the best in the country. Yes, indeed. Well, Bernie Kerik things. Bernie Kerik, my former New York police chief. I don't know if you heard that cut earlier, but Bernie was saying in an interview on on a podcast that he thinks that Chief James Craig ought to be named FBI director. He said. We've gone along with attorneys in that job. We need a cop. I did hear that, and I agree, But I'd like to keep him here in Michigan. Is that Governor understand So reason for my call? I'll make it quick just to chime in on the lady that called previously Over the weekend. I talked with seven of my neighbors all under the age of 50, and they either have already received the vaccines or are scheduled to get them this week. They're not health care workers. They're not essential. Actually, Two of them are healthcare administrators, But they're working virtual. They're not on the front lines. I had had talked to two ladies who were able to go on the, uh Phone for Trinity Health, and there's a prompt that says, Are you a physician? Yes or no? They Push the button that says yes. Exclaiming their physician. They get in they they both had their first vaccine. They're going back this week for the second, and they never had to prove that they were physicians. Correct. And other other people. I have no idea how like I think one of them has a relative that works at the clinic. Because one's an attorney, the other one has his own business. They're not essential workers, you know. Those 70 yet you know, my 89 year old neighbor next door, he's not able to get his vaccine. You know, I don't know that I'm more shocked Bread that people are actually doing this sort of thing or that people are not able to get the vaccines. In many cases, people who say the attitude was, you know. Well, because I told myself that you know, this is bogus. Our neighbors next 18 nineties. Not getting they said. I know, but I've got a chance. I'm gonna take it. I mean, yeah, it is. It's crazy in this. Not only is there that attitude, but there's no Accountability. There's no follow through and I just anticipate come September. We're gonna hear another giant report that not only are we, you know, fifth worst with unemployment pride. We're gonna be fifth worse with vaccine fraud or something. It's just Uh, yeah. I feel your frustration, bread and I don't blame me What you've been through there. Thank you for the story and for sharing it with us, they're really appreciate it. All right, That's uh, tell you, Tate 108 590957 and I wanna go to John and Commerce Township real fast before the break. John's gonna be. I've gotta be sure with you. I apologize in advance, sir. Okay, thanks. Stick. McCall. Real quick. The DEA is giving shots. Two bets You have to be registered. You don't have to be a patient who just had three registered. And, uh, I got mine last week is the most efficient process I've seen yet. My wife had her, said Henry Ford there more methodical about Only giving it to you on the Time that you had on your appointment at the V A. You come in the door. They take you and you're done very good program that I went to the Anne Arbor branch. Mm hmm. Give you a phone number friend over 7342227100. That's the V A. N N a. Beautiful. "Frank Beckmann Show News. Talk 7 60 wjr Now sitting in for Frank Beckmann. Here's Chris Ren. Week. Alright last our last few minutes. Joe, at least, uh, Toronto Monday morning. Martin Cooking today. Um and I wanna go to to come. So you told Mike the whole line. He did, Uh, so let's go to Mike into company, Michael. Good morning. Good morning, Chris. It's good. I'm celebrating because I got my coma vaccine from the V A this morning. Okay. All right. She got it from the V. A. That's cool s talk to me about the vaccine itself. Did you? Were you ever hesitant on receiving it or were you going to get it from the jump? I had to get this tattoo that was like 999 upside down. No, I'm just kidding. I know you didn't have to. But it's fine. It went in find it was pretty actually, I hardly felt it is amazing. And when I am in the doghouse because My wife hasn't gotten it yet, And I actually talked her out of She was already she could have signed up in there in Monroe and I said, Well, wait till the things ready and, you know, runaway County but And now it's all booked up. So I'm in the doghouse because of that, But At any rate, it was. It was good and Was the military would distribute it throughout the country. I mean, The way they did it. The V A was so organized, you know they are anyway, but Let's go back. My doctors. You have them doctor and said she wishes the U of M was his organizes the BA hospital. So really interesting. So s so obviously you felt good about getting it Where you were you planning on getting it? Did you ever have any hesitancy about about receiving it? No, it's the same thing to me. It's like the polio shot or getting. Uh well, Smallpox of thing is a problem in this country. We haven't the smallpox vaccine back in the forties. I think it was They had twice or three times as many people vaccinated in the same amount of time. We've done this covert thing. And so we need to gear up. I think maybe Biden will get it going on, and I pray he does. Is the faster we get this vaccine out there, the faster we can get back and business. Okay? Yeah. So let me ask you this. Then What did they tell you about? You know, just kind of things to watch with this. It sounds like with the first dosage. Um, you know, you really won't have any side effects. It's maybe after The second round that you'll have to get in a couple weeks. That's the one where you may end up, you know, experiencing some sort of flu like symptoms that they told you anything about that. Like what? They said there could be with the first one and it said, you know, they gave us a whole bunch of paperwork Toe. Look at in case of a problem. We can call the number but Uh, I've seen so much propaganda. I can't believe some of the videos. I saw people send me a message with the video about this doctor that supposedly has three degrees and whatever says that they're putting Microchips in your body and they're putting make it turns you into an antenna that making you into a robot or something or that contract you It's a gym. It's terrible. I don't know what what Perpetrate somebody to do something like that. It's just sensationalism. S so it's it's I think if everybody gets the shot of Just like polio. We beat polio. I remember when I was a kid getting a sugar cube. At first and then later on, they had a shot. Yeah, I hope they do like Dr Salk did with making it available to everybody and not getting he didn't see that patent. It Stated available to everybody, and I hope that's happening with visor and modernity. I got the boxer one so Yeah, that's a good point. Hey, Mike, I'm glad you got it. That's awesome. And I hope you continue to feel well from it. Thank you for for the infant. We appreciate it. Mike into company. Cool. You don't I always found interesting and I don't understand the whole Microchipping thing. Why? Why on earth would they feel the need and they whoever they is, Why would anybody build the need to put a microchip in you? I mean, you don't need that because they can track you anyway. Your cell phone is the microchip, So I don't know why this this need or this? This This bogus information about Microchipping. It's nonsense. They don't need a microchip be. You got a phone. That's the microchip, and it's in your pocket all the time. 808 590957. It's good. I just don't I don't understand it. Let's go to Roger in Carson Ville. Good morning, Raj. Morning, Chris, How are you? I'm good. What can I do for you? I'm just talking about the van talking about the health department in the job one is running it. There's no question he's an intelligent individual. My only problem is he's not elected bureaucrat. And the orders that he gave out is unconstitutional. He has no authority or right to tell people that can open and they can't do things by people are acting like he is the law. What he's done is unconstitutional, and I would ask every person that owns a restaurant to turn your lights on and open your door. And open.

Let's go to White Lake Talkto. August. Good morning, August. Hey, Good morning dress. Great job was always so thanks really Happy for you guys in the whole crew there. Thank you. I'm optimistic person. Okay? Yeah, and unfortunately As I look at our current situation in this country, it's that good. I'm very, very disappointed in the media. Very, very disappointed in our educational system. Very, very disappointed in our government. I don't care if you're Democrat or Republican. Local level state level federal level. They are completely clueless. My way of thinking and acting what I observed every day of being out and about As I was used to accept this notion that you gotta shut everything down. I find it disgusting. Mm. And I find it very embarrassing, and I find it very sad that so many people have bought into it and afraid. Don't look at the facts. As I understand it. This virus is very, very tough to get. Very And their hospitals and places you know there are being paid extra money to say that someone passed from this when it was a heart attack. Or a stroke or old age. Well, cancel whatever there was to see if it's actually for me. It's not about it's not even about the difficulty in contracting the virus because it does seem like you get a pretty quick pretty easily. The thing for me is that We should be able to as a country as a state, Whatever. Um, we should be giving Way shouldn't be closing people down. We should be. You know if these companies or these businesses or, you know, bar restaurant owners if Jonah if you're in a movie theater if you own a Bowling alley. Whatever if you want to be closed If you want to close down because your your your fearful of the virus or you're afraid of contracting and bring it home to your family, and the same goes for your employees. If you're financially stable, If you feel that you can close down because you you've got a good a system in place where you can absorb the blow And you want to be closed down, then closed out. That's your prerogative, but you don't allow people that option. And in and in the process you're cutting people's livelihood is out for months at a time. It's in. It's dangerous. It's very dangerous. Chris and I hear you loud and clear. Trust me. That's my concern. Now That's my concern, moving forward and it's It's a concern. I understand what you're saying. I get. I'll tell you what Tonight to this day and have always done it right from the get. Go. What do you come from? You want me to put gloves on? You want to put a mask? I don't have a problem with that. Right. Some places. They put it right on the door. I have to if I want to go somewhere, which I do. All right, put the mask on. And I think people distancing even. I mean, it's that it's that really that hard. It's a Nagasaki August, and it's the same thing if you don't want to go out. If you don't want to go to target if you don't want to go out, don't go out there. That's your prerogative. Bang go! It's freedom. That's what this country's about. What? I'm afraid of us in August, I took the podium everything for me. I have I have faith in our in our people. I have faith that that they'll make the right decision for them. My situation may be totally different than your situation, and your situation may be totally different than your neighbors. If there is it's not a cookie cutter situation, not not everything is the same. No, absolute. Well, e mean, What's his name is bizarre. This is that you can't even make this stuff up What we've experienced over this last year. How do you even come up with that? If we wait. We were If we were producers in Hollywood, and we said, Hey, we got a great idea for a horror movie. They look, they look at this script and see what he had nuts and source like other office. I mean, come on. It's a good point. Yeah, August. I appreciate the call Good, but yeah, I got a good thoughts. All I just thank you. 808 590957 Let's go to. I believe we're going to, uh, Carl in east China's Karl there. Yeah, Yeah. Hey, What's that? What's up, Carl? You got me. I just wanted to assure her all the people that are concerned about all the people coming across the border. Now that they are, those countries wouldn't be sending bad people. They'll be only standing Very nice people, well educated, healthy people and S O. Don't be concerned about a few 100,000 people coming into the country because They wouldn't be emptying their presence and sending those people or under educated people or sick people. Why would they do that? Why would they want to get rid of those people? They're only sending the very, very best. Makes sense. Come Sure. Yeah, like way. Did the story Frank talk. Torto ends over at Border patrol in Detroit last week. Um, they arrested somebody who is a convicted sex offender who has been removed from this country four times four times. He was just arrested in Romeo. You know, I'm being I'm being facetious there anything their prisons They're sending the worst people they can send. If you don't have an education, you don't have a job. Get in line and go to America because they'll give you $500 a week. We're just sitting on your note. You know what? It's insane. It is that basically insane and Biden is going to give 11 million people in the right to vote. Yeah, We're crazy, working great. Sure, Yeah. Yeah, It's an interesting point, Carl. Thank you. I appreciate it. 808 590957. Let's go to wait. Hold on pump. The brakes will take another color on the other side of the break. Let's get right to the phones, talked to Mike and Clinton Township. Good morning, Mike. Good morning, Chris. Hey, Cario. I'm great. How are you? I'm good. You know, I was a culinary graduate. And a lot of my retired, um, you know, I did a lot of things you know me but anyways. These people that are running the government. Never had real jobs, and that's the issue I have with this restaurant closing, and that's a problem with it if you haven't had a real job If you stuck to your You know a parent's money going to college and then we'll run right into government. You don't understand what's going on out on the streets and vice versa. I'll take Peter Mayer, for example. I was told my employees if you have Um, issues with the government. I don't want you to talk to our customers about it. I don't want you to go. You know one way or another. And he did something really stupid. Easy. They got the name. He's got that name on all the department stores. And, uh, you know a lot of us that are except with them can just boys out that store. Sure. Um and Robert Gordon. He wouldn't know how to make an omelet a little long. He's album help it had a Health department head of the Macomb County Health Department, Rural County Health Department. Can walk in their restaurant. No, let everybody's doing. He doesn't know that. No, I'm my issue is not with his intelligence. He's a very smart man. I mean, you go to Harvard. You go to jail. You get your law degree from you. I mean, he's not some slouch, but certainly I mean, there's a there's a There's a I understand your point when you just go right in T government. Or or the special interest groups or think tanks or whatever. It's really hard to relate. It's really hard to understand what's happening. Get the ground level. Uhm it zvehr e difficulty. Get that perspective and when you don't have that perspective Um, again, it's Z difficult to be able to manage in this case, a specifically sizable and the state's largest department in the Health and Human Services Department. So again. My beef is not with Robert Gordon because again, Robert Gordon is being used and his department is being used as a vehicle in which the governor and her office are using. To do further these orders and her, you know, it's an executive order without being an executive order. You know other people that never had a real job. Well, that's my tonight and I I understand that perspective and I don't think you're totally wrong. But my my beef is not necessarily Robert Gordon. My beef is that is that how can we expect somebody who again Most people will look at and go. Oh, he's making these calls. He's making these calls. I'm telling you, that's not the case. How could he be the one to make the How can he be the one to tell the whole state of restaurants, movie theaters, bowling alleys, etcetera that they need to close down because of a virus that's going around the world, the country in the state. Yeah. What point At what point in his resume. Does he have that? These he have that that that background? He doesn't Dr Johnny Cal Doom does, but he doesn't. He's the shot caller there. So that's why I tell you, my my beef is not Robert Gordon. But shouldn't we have somebody there who has the the the experience or at least The knowledge to be able to Act in these kind of situations and maybe going forward. We will But like I look at Marianne Kudo, who was the she was the director back in. I think it was Oh Fourtou, seven of the Department of Human Services. Um, and she has a degree. In Health Service Administration from the University of Michigan. She is qualified. I get it. But something like Robert Goren isn't And now he's just being used is the vehicle for which the governor's office can extend These orders. That's it. When you look at the resume, it's kind of shocking, That's all. And I appreciate the call Mike. Um, So again. My beef is not with Robert Gordon. It's just the fact that would you look at it you go. How does he lend this job? 808 590957. Let's go to mark in Livonia. Good morning, Mark. Yeah, I just wanted to make a cop to comments one on the news media, but the first one Woz I think it was Puerto Rico when they had their hurricane there. And, uh, Trump and his wife went on, you know? To go visit them. She had you know her green outside now, but she was wearing a pair of high heels on how they need I mean, they just read her for about four days that she was wearing high heels when she had a pair of boots on board to change when she got there, But we're gonna talk about calmly. Harris is shoes. But you're going to see now people not listening to CNN and MSNBC because after a while, it's going to get so boring. They're not gonna have anything to talk about. That they're going to end up, you know, And that's how Fox got its audience by here. You know something else. You know, they got about 20 million viewers. And CNN has like a million. Maybe. And and that's what's gonna happen to go and market there. Yeah, There's no doubt that Donald Trump has been good for for the national media. Now there's no doubt about it. I mean, there's no Demi. Hey, you know where you look exactly Go. Don't look at it. Ah Acosta. Okay, Nobody has benefited more. Then he has. Yeah, and he strong armed. The lady was holding the mic yet. But you know what? That now Here's a really great question for common house. What do you think about the hundreds of thousands of people from Honduras? Who pushed through the border guards and got through to Mexico on their way. You what about that? What do you think about that? There are any of them criminals at all or They're a handful of criminals and that grouper are any drug cartel runners in there. Both are the kind of questions Yeah, and Martin and I'm not saying that she didn't get asked difficult questions or questions that people want to know why. Because she did. But the fact that you're promoting this interview with the incoming vice president, and the clip that you want to promote this big interview is about her shoes. That's crazy. It is great. No. After who's gonna tune into that after a while. Well, and you're probably right. You're probably again. It depends on how they cover this thing, And so far they have got a big fat after me. Thank you. Mark. Appreciate the call 808 590957 off to the roadways.

I don't think so. I think that was set up and I will make federal investigation even on the and scare off. The government of domesticated mother will give you this is if Rick Snyder is somehow complicity with poisoning the people of Flint and endangering their lives. Then that certainly must be looked at to see whether she benefited from Public dollars that she might have attacked. Yeah, Exactly. Franken mentioned. Another thinks Frank. I were wonderful Constitution is saying fittest rewards way that people Get this. No mention about white, no mention about black with their people. But still you have to the comments feel like one hour ago with gentlemen on the radio. He complained about the 400 years slavery. My question is why Bulgaria country which was under Turkish empire over 560 years. They never complained, and they live peacefully right now, And there's just no problem holding Germany, Germany and Germany under the Nazis, you know, same thing. If you will go toe 170 years, almost Poland gun from the metal of here. We're off from 17 72 to 1970. There was slavery from our self, Russia and Russia. Nobody complained. We live in peace, and we wanted peace. But if you bring a subject off white and black, somebody make the money on it. That is not above the slavery that just about that dollar sign which I don't understand, and I will not even discuss this. But People remember white and black way are not. We're not racist. We're a peaceful nation. Please stay together. Move this country forward. That's what I am asking. Go forward. Don't be socialistic because socialists will kill people. That's exactly what they do. Let's face it, You know, we all learn on this job. We all learned along the way and I look forward to Ah to my successor and wish him or her The very best moving forward. Yeah, well, Frank, I thank you, And here's my thing. I'll get right to it, too. Um, before I say what I'm gonna say. I just want to throw this out there a day to impeach a president and several months and we still haven't come up with a comb it package for everybody. How does that go? But here's my thing. I think what's happened is the Pandora Box has been opened. Okay off previous president said. They bring a knife. We bring a gun. I'll representative said getting their face. Be angry. Okay, Now, my thing is this. If football coach or Frank if you said you, Obama were. I won't use us a football team. But let's just say you said, go out there and kick some butt tomorrow. Go out there and win and somebody a player goes on, beats the crap out of a player on the field. They're gonna come back at Frank Backman and say, Frank, you invoke something. You told the ground get physically violent. No. We have taken out of context, the whole meaning of freedom of speech and then calls and I'll just say Donald Trump. I love him. But hey, if he said, go down there, get violent. Get rowdy, no crucified. Do what you gotta do, But he said as you said. Peacefully. Patriotic Lee go down and let your voices be heard. He never said, get violent attack. I guess this is political and it screwed up bad And there's just a horrific divide. And these Republicans better. No. There's 80,000 or sorry 80 million Trump supporters. They're gonna vote again in two years, and they're going to support Donald Trump's businesses. It's just it's terrible. What's happened? We're in trouble. Every president now is gonna have to worry about an impeachment for anything, he says. You know, that's that is a frightful thought. But I think you're you're right. That's ah, That's exactly where we are. And I also, as I said last week, when, when we first started discussing this earlier this week, That I agree with you on what the president said..

"Frank Beckmann Show News Talk 7 60 WJR Now sitting in for Frank Beckmann. Here's Chris Randwick. It was stunning. Learning of the information. That was happening. But also just watching things unfold yesterday was was stunning. Stunning for for viewers like me and you who were watching on television and only getting kind of the outside perspective, right? We saw people breaking windows. We saw people climbing staff building. We saw people scaling walls we saw we saw people actively, uh, you know. Break into the capital, breaking windows climbing through windows, pushing Capitol police around I mean, it was shocking. It was shocking from just a visceral standpoint, it was stunning. This eat something like this coming. I never thought I would see ever But there is a whole other perspective that we just didn't see and that was inside. We saw a little bit, especially pictures as they were being leaked on social media and posted Um, but especially in those tense moments before. People were able to get to safety or or security and police were able T o kind of control the situation. Um And I came across this story in the Detroit News. Well, I guess it was late last night, and it's titled Inside House Chamber. Gas masks barricades and I love you. Text. And if you haven't had the opportunity told you earlier. You got to go and read the story. I mean, it's stunning and I wanted to make sure we we told this story here on the show s O. I was able T get ahold of and finally Cokes, too. Come on. Melissa Burke, who is the Detroit News Washington Bureau chief who now joins us this morning, Melissa. Good morning. Good morning. Thanks for having me. Yeah, I thrilled that you're safe. I'm happy that you're safe. I would love for you. T tell me in those specifically in those brief moments. Um Is as things were starting to escalate. What, what you were experiencing what you were seeing inside where you were inside the House chamber. Um, I think that it hit me what was happening? You know what? We were paying very close attention. Um, I was up in the gallery and we were paying close attention to what was happening on the floor. Um and we could hear some commotion and, uh, some from banging, but it wasn't clear wasn't kind of clear that the level of threat I think until that they're a Capitol police officer Human and You know, said Basically that they, you know that they're there. People have gotten into the building. The building had been breached, and they were in the rotunda and they were headed this way. And they you know he was urging lawmakers to stay calm. You know, At this point, they had kind of whisked away the leadership and And then we started to kind of hear the banging on the gallery doors. There was, you know, chanting and shouts and it was just a bit chaotic and we could hardly follow what was happening and where it was coming from, because it's a very Large room, Um echoey and, um You know, At some point they directed the lawmakers to put on, you know, pull the gas mask. I think they're actually called smoke hoods from another seats. Um, they started handing them down the road to us in the house gallery, um to the press, and there's other lawmaker. Few dozen lawmakers in the gallery. So, um, so yeah, That was when things got Got very serious. You know, it was. It's hard to kind of in the moment you get kind of scrambled in your mind. You know what happened when, but But if you know why, Because another another. Um, uh, I viewed it as a proud moment. Especially for our, um for our representatives here from the state of Michigan. You told a story about Bill Hi, Xena with Congressman out of the west side of Michigan, who was actively trying to help barricade the doors and we all saw and I'm sure you have seen now. But the stunning pictures of Police and security with their guns drawn, pointing at the doors who had the windows kind of broken out and yelling people to get back and whatever, and those were absolutely surreal, Stunning pictures. But you highlighted a story here of Congressman Hi, Zynga. Actively trying to help the police and officials barricade the door. Could you tell me more about that? Yeah, Yeah. When we watched that all unfold, it would be It was surreal. You know, to see these these thieves, police officers who you know. You saved our lives. I think I mean, I don't know what would've happened if they've gotten into the room. You know, you kind of thinking to yourself. You know, Um, I Am I going to see somebody die today? I mean, it's like, uh, quite a moment. But those you know they got they had, uh uh. Congressman Bill highs and go. Yeah, I told me this story about how he was down on the floor and No. He saw what was happening at the central doors where There's was banging, and they eventually broke through the glass there. Um some some of the law enforcement officers had drugs and a big desk over from the corner of the chamber. And they were piling other furniture on top of it. Like, uh, benches and stuff and hiding in an officer. We're trying to carry another bench over. I mean, that's like Heavy burden turning there, you kind of they're not really for Mikey there in the House chamber. They said there were, you know, kind of building this pile of furniture up against the doors, but these, you know Day These guys were banging on the door. They broke through the glass. Um On the officers had their guns drawn, pointed at the windows, and we're telling them to get back. Get back, get back over and over again, and you know that's where it's. At that point we had been moved in the gallery. Most of memories had been Uh, evacuated from the chamber at that point, Um, and I know I think you told me that they you know, that's the point where there is a big bag. We weren't quite sure what the bang was. It kind of sounded like a gunshot, but it We think it was probably, you know. A flash bang or or tear gas on unclear Still at this point to me, but that that's when he dropped. He and the officer dropped the bench. They were curing and the officer told him to get out. You know, third, please. You need to leave. And so he told me At that point, he got out of the room and evacuated to a safe space. You know what? We were all still up in the gallery with a few A few dozen lawmakers and the press who were covering the proceedings, and we didn't have a way out. We were still hearing the banging, Um we're kind of watching this standoff happening on the floor. Um, And they think those those that was eventually subdued and my recollection is then we were still hearing where we were trying to get out. But they didn't think it was safe for us to unlock the doors to the gallery. So we were kind of just all taking cover and waiting to see you know.
