"Things. Are Gone You. Aren't you glad to know the COVID? Nineteen two months later is gone. It's gone and we don't have any more covert teen. Oh Eight! It's still here. So what we ended up seeing that they defile the flesh, they they defile the flesh. We end up seeing here. Is that this this in verse eight? It says that they defile the flesh it is that they seek to satisfy flesh -ly desires, usually referring to sexual sins, but not always just already covered that they reject authority, they reject authority God's. Word is the authority. They rejected with their dreams. They rejected with their cells. They reject God's authority. Defile the word of God and they. They do not like the Scriptures Scriptures judge their sin, and so they twist the scriptures and defile the scriptures to try to change its meaning to be what they wish. It said rather than what it does say because what the Scriptures do say is a judgment on them, so he just rejected. They look to their dreams rather than the word of God. They do not like the word of God telling them what to do, so they don't want to submit to that, so it's. Though they end up having followers, they want everyone. Follow them, and not the word of God, these false teachers who claim to that. Address them in public. You must go to them privately. You'll hear this all the time. They say that no, you're. You're violating scripture. They have no problem addressing other people publicly, but you have to come to them alone, so they'll. They'll give lip service to the authority of Scripture they just don't follow it themselves. False teachers seek to protect self. They will blast anybody in order to protect themselves. They're more concerned with themselves than they are about God one way we see them. They Reject Authority Wealth Francis Shannon and was essentially that I may have earlier said that the masters. You're a master seminary. Pro Catholic Church doesn't I met. Met Francis. Chan promotes the Catholic Church and here's here's the evidence of it. Listen to Francis Chan. Deny what he was taught at master's seminary and promote what the Roman Catholic Churches teached taught. And what is they teaching? They're teaching the church. Has the authority. Not Bible. Why did it not play? Let's get back. I didn't know that. For the first fifteen hundred years of church history, every one saw it as the literal body and blood of Christ, and it wasn't until five hundred years ago. That someone popularized a thought that it's just a symbol and nothing more I didn't know that wow well. That's something that consider And while I won't make a strong statement, I will make a statement about this. It was at that same time that for the first time. Someone put a pulpit in the front of the gathering..

"I did because I'm just going to the word of God says you know and I'm just like staring at my chair gone. I believe you know you know. And it's like okay. I'll start with like a pen. You know that's not moving. And then I literally just thought okay if I can just make the shudder a little bit of the you know nothing and gosh that people start explaining the word of God to me. And they're GONNA WELL. He didn't really mean that in really mean this didn't really mean that throughout live people just kept telling me. I'm like Gosh. It seems like that whatever I asking is it. No you really mean that wants us to do things beyond what I know. He doesn't and everything just kinda got reduced and no no no so every promise I would see I began to just look at it probably mean that but I was just later and deeper study. I just Kosh. I'm seeing these people with faith and that faith of this interior and goes no Jesus. I know what it means to be in charge. You could just. You don't even have to go to my house. And she's like Whoa. I've never seen faith like that. I I really really enjoyed the sermon. And I appreciate Francis Shannon his ministry and his devotion to you know the fidelity of scripture and you know his he's one of those guys who one of these leaders who I really feel like kind of puts his money where his mouth is you know. He stepped away from the Mega Church. He founded he. You Know He. He's preparing to live life as full-time as a missionary really really has a passion for the Gospel and and eeo generally people. Don't associate him with more charismatic. He like a pentecostal type of ministry. You know like publicly talking about praying for healing and for you know actually going into places and asking if people want prayers for healings but I I thought it was really cool and honestly challenging like as a believer as someone who you know is a Christian who believes in you know the Bible in the Great Commission and in our call to reach people who who are suffering. I found really challenging to to be like listen that is. That's pretty bold. I mean I know there are people that maintain different beliefs about modern day. Miracles and healings but I thought a very challenging in that like hey. I'm really glad he's talking about this at. I'm really glad that is potentially challenging more Christians to really examine what they think about. Some of you know about what the Bible says about you know the supernatural in ministry can look like. I know there's a lot of different takes out there about Likes Miracles in cessation is amended and people of of good conscious can disagree on those things but one thing. I've really really like about Francis. A lot is that. He's he's kept growing. You know he hasn't calcified in his beliefs. He's he's changed a lot and he's been really open about his own faith evolution. He's he's talked about it and he's been opening when he doesn't know and what's changed. I wanted new experiences. He's having it is so easy for us Even at my job I'm younger than Francis but even in my to kind of be like okay. This is what I believe. Now this is where I met my and you you Kinda Stop Your faith journey. Just Kinda ends at a certain point and that has not been even.

"Long ago that when you would go through the valve replacement, DACA. You know from what I understand he was open heart. That was the way it was done. Now, we've moved forward, and we understand that maybe the procedure a bit less less invasive with a trans catheter replacement. Is that true that's an option, and that's kind of the ultimate minimally invasive procedure Beaumont, Royal Oak, we do minimally invasive surgical replacements, which are much smaller incisions. But the patient's still needs to go on a heart lung machine for short periods of time. But let catheter approaches it's purely through a groin poke. Like, you get regular cardiac camps, and in is in our experience. These patients are usually awake gently sedated with breach Atlanta seizure. So it's the ultimate mentally and Basit approach. Trans catheter documented Mick Jagger supposed to have the procedure tomorrow. What is? As the recovery expectations following this procedure. Well, he has a trans catheter approach in our experience if everything goes, well, that's generally twenty four to seventy two hours in hospital. The reason why people stay a little bit longer is the possibility of needing a permanent pacemaker because the wiring system the hardest very close to the area valve, and there's about ten to twelve percent risk of permanent pacemaker after a trans catheter valve. And if that's necessary patients need to stay a little bit longer. What is the what is the durability of the valve replacement? You know, whether you're seventy five whether you're forty five, you know, you hate to talk about Valerie placements that young dot. But I'm sure you've come across it. How long is a valve gonna last. That's a great question. Because nowadays, we have tissue either bovine pericardium, which is the lining. Second cow hearts or pig. Pericardium is used for the trans catheter bells and the latest versions have only been implanted in the US and the world for as much as seven or eight years. So we can tell you with real data what the durability is over that period of time, but not much longer. Let me ask you this, Dr Shannon, and as one of the leading drastic surgeons in the area, are you sometimes blown away with what is going on in medicine in particular as it relates to your specialty. Well, yeah, that's a great way to put it because when we started doing the trans catheter vows that people awake. I mean, it was having started off back in the days of fallen cage valves like thirty thirty five years ago. It's it's almost miraculous that you can you don't really fully replace. But to to convert in a malfunctioning, you already fell to a brand new valve is is this while. We appreciate your insight. The amazing thing according to the medical team involved with Mick Jagger. They're saying if all goes well in distant future, he'll be back on stage rocking the satisfaction another classics in the not too distant future. That's that's pretty cool. Oh, it is. And you know, we've done this procedure on people in their nineties. And it's they go home in a day or two and they're back to their normal lives within a week. So Mick Jagger is tour is probably more physically challenging. But if he does have a trans catheter approach he should be getting well soon again, doc, thank you so much for your time. And we'll talk again soon. Thank you very much. Appreciate all, right. Spend some time there with the Rasic surgeon. Dr Francis, Shannon. Part of the Beaumont hospital family happy. He joined us here. This morning.

"Tigers in New York last night, they beat the stanks three one big night for Dustin Peterson. Go ahead. RBI? Double offer Aldus Chapman, not an easy chore. First major league hit and the cool part about it his parents right there in the stand. So we are going to have you covered for opening day. Tomorrow, the usual broadcast site will be the historic opera house, and we have a plethora if I can throw that five dollar word around of tiger dignitaries. Coming your way looking forward to that. Now, then today is the day, by the way. That couple of folks will be going to court actresses, Felicity Huffman, and Laurie Laughlin going to be in Boston federal courtroom later this afternoon to answer charges in the college college admissions scandal, we can see jail time here. Good question is will be on that hearing this afternoon. You know, what I'm thinking not I don't know. There's a thirty three very wealthy people involved. Richard Iowa, imagine when you peel away the layers, this would be the consummate white collar crime. Yeah. Yes. It is the money crime. Maybe they'll go to their jail where Martha Stewart was or. Well, they're high high profile people usually what happens in nonviolent crimes usually in our observation on the scientific, but we're in the courts all the time watching these cases is that if it's not a high profile crime and nonviolent and its first defense the person ninety nine percent of the time gets probation. You'll be free. You'll pay a fine. The judge will scold you. You'll be shamed. In court and then you'll walk out free person on probation. However, the Martha Stewart's of the world and other high profile cases that are being watched carefully. They frequently turn out different. And Martha Stewart was a stock trading. Cheater they put her in jail for a short time. These high profile actresses and other prominent people who were involved in this college entrance scam. They may also get some jail too. I think because of their prominence and the prominence of this national story, which which is what this is they run a higher risk of going to jail while I believe, I don't know exactly the jail. Martha Stewart was in. I'd have to do the research. But I think it was the only correctional facility in the country that serve lobster, right? And she doesn't have to make it. Yeah. I am not into supporting any jail time going to be very interesting to see what goes on not just with the actresses. But the other wealthy individuals involved. They don't go to jail they will get hefty fines. On top of the millions. They've already spent on an education. How ironic isn't that? Crazy. Also, we're going to be focusing coming up in the moments ahead as we'll be joined by Dr Francis. Shannon. Beaumont hospital Rasic surgeon talking about Mick Jagger, and the surgery that these seventy year old is going to be going through valve replacement seems to be things a little bit different barrister. Ed, the had the procedure done, and maybe just maybe things aren't as invasive, maybe at the time he had open heart surgery because he was considered to be very healthy. And that was the right way to do it. But that was now six or seven years ago. So this is going to be an interesting conversation. Because now they're really are. They sound like they are really moving toward the trans catheter method for all patients, healthy or not. So it'll be interesting to ask Dr Shannon. What the thinking is because that would be great to avoid that open heart surgery. Yeah. There's you know, no matter how simple we make it sound. And maybe you know, it never really is deal. Yeah. No, right, folks. Six thirteen right here right now at seven sixty..
