"Things that happened out side of it because of it for sure but outside of it when i get envious of francis and closed my eyes and just wish you guys understand that you've done that with plenty of people maybe doing with friends. You wish that was me. I wish i was in that spot. I wish i had that opportunity. I would give everything back right now just to have your opportunity just to be in your age. Physical opportunity right opportunity is wasted until you don't have it. I didn't appreciate my high school career boy. I had eligibility freshmen through senior year. They were letting me compete my nc double a. Eligibility when you run out then that's when you really start to value. I look at what francis has what francis can do with francis will. Do this will happen. I am right with two wins. My goodness how wanna talk about francis and gano versus tyson fury bearing the money of connor versus floyd is very realistic as much of a dream as much of a pipedream and selling of what i just said that is very realistic. With two wins. The doors that would be open for francis. Ghana the things that he has not accomplished. Set different goals. You now need to have a goal somewhere that they build a stadium for you have to. You don't have a choice. They did it for anybody in your sport comes along and does it you. Now wait a minute. I gotta go. I gotta do everything he did. How many t-shirts that guy said. Okay i got a more. How many tickets to sell more. How many times did he defend. I'm going to defend moore as soon as one guy got to be champion now. There's a champ champion. Henry huda was talking about champ champ conor mcgregor championship. But that's how.

"That is fascinating air pro wrestling for me. Men will figure it out or corner sports and why longtime comments do with gone when the bell gone will face francis unify the bill bells. But how do you guys see that fight. Paying playing out. Francis get picked apart from the outside until gone goes from the goes to kill or does get put to sleep by the power of francis. Ghana ask i'm gonna also. Was everyone. go watch damon mines interview with Fernando lopez which is cerro vons trunk coach francis and donald's old coach egos berry in detail and i don't you obviously favors gone. But since he's trailing francis so much obviously points out. A lot of the strengths francis had was a lot less biased than i thought. It was going to be very fascinating. Listen to it's also like fifty minutes long talks a so after this. Go watch that sean. Really early predictions for fight. That's not even announced yet. How do you see bradley. got over man. I'm sure my mind probably going to change a couple of different times by the time this gets here but right now in this early going. I still just have to favor frances for me. It is really hard to pick anybody other than france and ghana when it comes to any heavyweight fight ever right now because. I've just never seen anybody like this. I've never seen anybody. Have the death touch in a real tangible way like this guy has to do we talk about dirk lewis of like. Oh you know twenty five minutes just got a land. One it's francis and got who is that times ten where like even jab or like some weird backwards you know punches is gonna knock you out like you've never been knocked out before in your life and you're gonna be out for like twenty minutes so like i don't know right now favor francis but it is a damn damn good fight and i have a feeling these dudes going to be fighting multiple times over the course of their career. It really feels like these are the two true like new breed of heavyweight that we're getting in in this sport. I'm really excited for gamay. Who got i would also favor gun. Gun is so technically credible We haven't seen anyone like march forward against him like the don't even care. Just try to knock his head off. He has some people with an amazing knuckle powered jitka derek lewis but no one has really Respects to his. Striking frosty gun has training theme for for for a long time. So maybe you know something we we. We don't know how that will play out but based on fresno May five win. He just likes to knock your head off and this new version of him that we signed him yoji rematch. I think his way more of the dangerous fighter than just this a hunter. So i would favor him. But i know that sir guns has added texture. Gillette alt-right him to digest as smart fights and maybe we know this season because he has the ground game as well. He's not just a strike. It has a very very solid ground game. We've seen a freshman shrug with that in the past. So that's that's a five for him. Mike we gone three for three on francis between you guys. Yeah i mean to me like what a fights this close to my first of all in on it. I am so on this. Fight all my chips. Boom right in the middle of the table for this wanna fights close. I have the to be the man. You gotta beat the man mentality. And i know both have belts but france's the man he's the champion. Sarah has said as such since the fight is in. But so i'm so fascinated by. I'm going like i would lean francis right now what i'm fascinated as i am with fight. I am just as fascinated with how the coaches are going to approach this fight inside the room Leading up to the day. Like how is eric's going to prepare for cyril gone. How is fernando lopez who At this moment he might be the most underrated coach in the sport. Right now. he's done this to different times. Sean talked about this on the post fight. Show and set it perfectly but just to see how fernande lopez at this day would prepare for francis and got up because like you said francis a different guy. Now he's got some some different tools. He's learned how to sort of harness his power and harness. How quickly he needs to go out and finish fights even though he still does them ridiculously fast. He doesn't need to finish them ridiculously fast. Like maybe he had to in the past so everything about this fight. Switches the on switch on. I love everything about it. And i can't wait for it. I hope i hope we get to see it by the end of the year but if nine like if this headlines the first pay-per-view january sign me up. I cannot wait. Let me think too is phrases forces the issue right like francis. Ford the issue like no other heavyweight in the world. You're just not going to avoid that dude. I understand zero gone. Has this incredible footwork. And he's fluidity and all of this but like phrase just gonna rush you and like anything that he hits like it's going to it's going to be maximum power. I am fascinated to see how that plays out. I'm going to pick cereal. Gone just to be different. But i think it's i knew you would just wanted. I think francis i. It's so close to me like i don't. I don't agree. That serial should be favored like the early odds. Several gone is the favourite right. If i correctly. Yeah i would favor francis i just wanna be different because this is my show and its last show. So i'm gonna be different. Also fernando lopez laid out cyril gones like a training like how much you like makes him do footwork drills like two hours at the beginning of every camp and then he goes into training so his camp is clearly on point fernando lopez laid out like kind of the issues with him in francis and had nothing to do with him leaving at everything to do with francis ignoring game plans and everything like that you said cereals. Not that guy. He's going to put a game plan and cyril fault. So but anyway. I think gee sean mike if you to of you can rotate out. I think.

"And i swear to goodness one hundred fifteen is what cost me my season not my opponents but it got to the point where going into the state tournament. I had one goal and it was to make weight. I remember thinking that. I remember also knowing even fourteen years old as a freshman. This isn't good so i don't learn the lesson. I come back my sophomore year. I cut all the way down to one hundred and thirty pounds and it wasn't the competition that could stop me. Was that damn scale. Sam never going to do this again. Fast forward junior ship. But now i'm in my senior year. One hundred and eighty five pounds. I soaking wet. One hundred seventy four. But i'm learning the lesson. And i never cutting weight again. The closest weight down was one seventy two screw at two pounds. I promised myself. I would never cut weight again so that i have to try to gain weight and i just remember. I mean my mother would make me chicken fried steaks every morning and there was something called. Insure and you guys will see these. Insurers are still out there but they're really good to get vitamins and nutrients. They're good in protein. Rip him open trade. I used to drink twelve of those things that day. So i was one hundred seventy four pounds. I'm trying to game to get one hundred eighty five now. I gotta train two and three times a day because that was my practice schedule meeting. All of my mother's chicken fried steaks gravy and pounding. These insurance and when the whole experiment is over. I've lost pounded on one hundred. Seventy three i would a pound the wrong direction. I just share with you. It is so hard to gain weight. And then you have the narcissist side of it right. I could personalize that too. If i'm gaining weight. I'm standing in the mirror after every shower. And i'm looking at myself and i'm turning sideways when nobody's watching. I'm seeing where the way it goes so john's going to have that factor to right john's good looking guy. He's a long lean athletic looking. He's not gonna wanna just put some of that size on. So i've always been interested in this experiment. I'm sharing with you. Based on very limited information. I have come to the conclusion that coach wink. A masterful trainer is just training. I have come to the conclusion that coach wink would have a level influence over john. Purely out of respect. Who's john does respect him. I don't think coach wink shares opinion. I don't think he tries to steer john's career. So i don't know that. When coach winks tells us that he could see john his own people back down at two hundred five pounds. I don't think he's coming to us with the level of pre-knowledge. I think he was just sharing a thought. I'm guessing that he came to that. Thought because perhaps the experiment of the weight game with john jones. Whether john just wanted to put on weight not understand you have to put on both kinds of weight and then take it off and you look in the mirror and you don't like the guy you're gonna see for two or three months. I'm putting all of these things together and making a guess. I'm making a guest. But i've been in his spot to some degree been in john spot exactly just not with all of the success that john had right. Don't forget what you're doing with john. John you're dealing with a guy who was so successful gave a world title away. I could never imagine that. But i think that you guys are with me. We could never relate to to having so many victories that we would give the recognition of the greatest guy on earth. We would just hand it. We were just give it away. But that's where you're at with jump very unique so john. Two hundred and five panels versus will hobich. Fine no problem. John versus francis at the time that francis captured the belt where. We're never going to have that time back. That would be a very big fight. You could make the fight. It will never be as big of a fight as it could have been in. The same thing goes for john versus oughta sonya had odyssey. Sonya never lost to blow vich. Whether is a beat them or they just did it to the match john versus izzy and the massive nece that would have been that fight and the capturing of the creativity of the viewer us. You can never return to it. You will never return to it and it's a really tough spot to look back and have regrets and what could have been but it's life and the smart one and the keys. Is that once that happens. You learn from it. It's now happened to john twice. He didn't do. The sonya fight. Should learn from that. Didn't do the francis fight should have learned from that he can run it back and get on the dock with our sonya right now. I'm sure there's a way to do it. I'm sure you could get on the docket with engano. These are good nights of business. They're not as good. A lot of things have to come together. Dana white at a press conference post connor floyd and so many members of the media were asking dana as the head of the if this is a road. He's going to continue to explore. Which is the crossover match of. One of his champions against one of the greats from the boxing world and dana said no danger. But you have to understand. It's not because i'm against doing it. It's just something that. I don't believe in sustainability wise. You had to have a lot of things. Come together for these. Massive fights lot of it is not just connor and floyd connor as the two division sitting champion versus floyd. Any piece of that story goes away so does the mystique of the fight. Dana made this very clear and he said it very simply. But i sorted away. I remembered it and i'm bringing it back to you. Guys timing is everything in the fight game so many things have to come together. So real gong versus francis ghana. Two weeks ago doesn't work. it doesn't work. We could do it. We could sell a bunch of tickets for it now. It is must see. It is massive. Why because of the timing because of the store because of the way things have developed. And as much as i'm sure that you are convinced the francis and surreal yes shale you're selling me a ferrari i got it. Yeah i know stayed in the obvious what. I'm trying to get you to draw. Bridge too. Is if surreal and francis works. It works we've all agreed that works absolutely must see excited..

"G. e. d. which is or john vinnie's which is On santa on both great restaurants and both really delicious so interesting so your wife has the big food and she turned you onto it. Yes i did not. I did not sink about food Mostly it was tunafish on wonder bread and then at about twenty seven. I discovered the wonderful world of delicious food now. I'm surprised because i would think that when you when you did happy days you'd go out and you were super famous and people were probably trying to give you all the best things that they could offer the best foods and send you all the best things. It did nothing No i didn't really go out until and then we went to mama zone which was on In hollywood right by lanka was wolfgang. Puck's first restaurant. Oh interesting. And then i then. He opened his own. You know His own restaurant right above tower records on sunset. Boulevard road and i did his first layout for people magazine. He invited me to come and so he is my most wonderful celebrity chef. I know i know some others You know a nancy silverton is pretty good. Yeah she's fantastic. She runs mozart and all those wonderful restaurants. I do think wolfgang puck doesn't get enough credit for being the as revolutionary as he was to american cuisine. Well let's say when we went there there was nothing on the menu that was not superior and now you know all these years later it's still a delicious meal. Yeah that's what blows my mind. Is that if you go to go. It'll still be one of the more cutting edge meals that you will have in the us and the guy's been doing it forever. I mean he does not rest on his laurels now he he's innovative and fantastic. Do you see yourself to wards people. Because i see similarities in wolfgang puck's career as in your career. Where you just you. You evolve perfectly with the times and you don't really rest on your laurels. Do you gravitate towards people like that. Is that a thing that you look for in people. You know what. I never thought of it that way. I never thought of it that way. I don't know actually i. You know what. I gravitate toward people who need to do what they do. like Bruce springsteen needs to write in saint randy carlyle needs to write insane. Sia bruno mars in musicians. I have a I that's when i get tongue tied actors. Same thing people who just don't fall into In to california and become an actor people who need to do with they do. I love seeing that in the food world because you can taste it you can really feel it in people's foods and you can taste it and you can. Also the reason why phil rosenthal show is so great is because you can feel his infectious love for new. Wipe your exactly exactly correct. What is this is amazing to me all the time. Vic the same ingredients are available to everybody and then there are those people who can take that ingredient and make it into something that fell from heaven or schmidt's no nothing yet. i mean this is not a cheeseburger. Right oh my favorite cheeseburger. Is the burger joint in new york city in a in the That hotel mark moore. Park parker meridian. Yes i've been there. That's a great place. It's like secret in the back of the. It's like a speakeasy burger place almost h behind lure curtains. It is i. I have tasted burgers everywhere. The same way that i've had black and white cookies and there is only one black and white cookie in america and that is a b.'s bakery right off ventura boulevard recedo boulevard and it's on clark it's better than new york black and whites white. I've ever had anywhere. Wow i feel like. I feel like i've never had a black and white that i've been crazy about because the doughy part always seems a little too dry to me a fresh b.'s. Bakery black and white will change that for a really. And i am not kidding. S on burghley at just is true. I love the passion with which you now speak about food. Well it's true you can't go home again. Once you know about the greatness out there yeah you can't not my dream my dream when we can travel again is to go to leone france. Okay just walk up and down the street and eat in every one of those restaurants. Wow yeah i think leon might have. One of the highest concentrations of michelin stars in france. Isn't that where i think. That's where paul beaucoup scott started. Yeah and then. In italy there is an. I don't know the name of the town. I wanna say moderna. But that is that of the vaccine. Moderna mona is supposedly a chef. There with he's married an american woman who is supposed to be like The the holy grail of a tan. Yeah that's massimo turell. His restaurant is Austria francis ghana. I would like to go. can i tell you something. I went there on the day that it became the number one restaurant in the world. And it was magical. It was life changing. It was an amazing experience. I did have a funny experience though where i was with my girlfriend at the time. Who was a chef. And we were onto like the ninth chorus of fifteen and it was a reseau and the risotto. I tell you henry. This objectively was undercooked. Oh wow well. Then he. I ask you a question. This is the dilemma that we were facing a restaurant that just got named the number one restaurant in the world right. Do you return a dish on the day that they are called the number one restaurant in the world. Today day doesn't matter you are a you are a customer more and it is their job. You can mention that. You know what i'm just saying. We've just had fifteen courses unbelievable. I think there's something off about the result of i think you can say there is an art. There's an art to returning a dish. I feel think you do it with warmth. Being i forget a line read. I'm on broadway. There are no retakes. And i have totally forgotten what i was going to say mo. It happens to every human being in every art form. You know i'll we hit the great seeing about being on television and specially doing arthur fons earlier willows years ago. I received the italian emmy. Which is.

"Famous shifts. I M Massimo Dura. I am the chef of Austria Francis Ghana in Heart of Modena Their Food Valley. My recipe today is this. It's pistol I always look at my past in a critic way and not in a nostalgic way and I always thought the pistol was too heavy and too oiling so once I was the referee Milano. I add the necessity to create a pistol because the people they want pasta. They love Pasta and So I created a very special best just following my mental pilot. I didn't have enough basil so I mixed with different herbs like time and mint was summer so the men gave some freshness to the basin. Basil meant and time together. Then I a classic grated Parmesan Journal some Extra Virgin Olive oil. A little little touch of garlic at this point. You need peanuts. But we didn't have any pilots and the pints a lot of money. So what I use. I had this idea to put some breadcrumbs so what I did. I got the job that was like three days. Old and graded I put everything into blender adding a little bit

"Let's size up as an opponent. What when you think about the biggest threats? What are they? I think he's very well trained very role schooled. He's got good timing with his combinations. I think he brings he's well rounded out say that he can Russell don't think his jitsu is anywhere near mind. But. Outside of that. I think he does really well whenever still wanna make initial movement. He does really well just time with his counters at slip slip, Ajab rain to his right hand left hook right cross or he'll double up when the body had come up in finished towards the head. I don't think he's forty two one who really kicks the way I kick in who can Russell the way. I russell. So that I think that's gonna be the factor in his fight. Do you agree that actually let me let me stay differently true or false? It's better for you that this is three rounds versus five or. No, what do you come down on that? I think it was five rows of being better hundred percent. I when I fought the case fury, all the title fights were five round fights. Even though my last three opponents I finished. But the first one I had went the distance full twenty five minutes. And I know I got guessing to go for days. It's just kinda a little unfortunate that this wasn't a main event. What who could be mad at Francis Ghana when Kate Alaska's coming back and taking the spot. So I can't can't hope when that too much. But I do wish it was a five rounder how how would it massively change your strategic approach? And I think. With more time. I have more time to break him down with three rounds. I think as professional when you get to the levels that we're at to be Jimmy Rivera to be algebra stolen into positions that we into being the top five you have to have a gas tank to goal throughout specially at the light away classes. And I think I think that's the difference. I think he's comfortable with those three rounds. I think if I had more time to push the pace, I tend to I tend to crack guys I really feel when I'm in there. So if the fight was a little longer, I think it benefits me, no doubt. Especially with the grappling. Exchanges to go. From grapple into striking is not easy thing to do and to go back and forth between the two for twenty five minutes that would have been my right there. But fifteen minutes is should be enough to get the job done. I took out my last opponent. And Cody Stayman he thought the detour rustling was gritted dethroning ahead of shut that shit down. And I'm gonna have to bring back that that wrestling also to the table when go out the empty human backpack. Once again, you know, what's interesting is your grappling has always been on point. Although. Oh, obviously, it's gotten better. And you're striking has just incrementally come along. But now it's seriously formidable here's the deal though. We had Ryan hall on the hour. And he was like I love algebra sterling's grappling, which is to say. In a good way. You have a reputation as a grappler, a very good one. But I wonder if it's an outdated reputation. It's not to say, you're not one. But now, maybe that's still your best skill set. But you're well rounded enough now where I don't know that that's a complete picture. Yeah. I would definitely hundred percent agree with that. And what I call Rivera out after I lost. My my two five Stu caraway in a sense out back to back in cold out. I was now on the down swing when I was right on the cusp of fight for world tied with had I gotten through caraway and Jimmy very was still working his way up in when I call them out. And he didn't wanna take the fight with me. I think it would have been smart if he had taken fight will meet back, then while still growing still developing my striking..
