"Thank you for tuning in to the GMC television podcast brought to you by the GMC. PODCAST network I'm your host Leeann. Ao Me. I'm excited about today's episode. Because we're going to take a deep dive into American horror story the show from fx and of course later in the show we're GONNA do set it on red it I let's start out by going through some of the shows stats it. Got An eight point one out of ten on. Im DB seventy six percent on rotten tomatoes and ninety five percent of Google. Google users like the show American horror story just wrapped up. Its ninth season called H. S. Nineteen eighty-four So I'm really excited to get to fill you guys in on that but we are going to start at the beginning. We're going to start with murder house so there's been nine. Total auto seasons each one is a separate storyline with a beginning middle and end all to itself a lot of the actors that are in each season played different characters in other subsequent seasons. I think that's one of the things that I really find entertaining about the show and of course a lot of the newer seasons seasons have some wonderful guest stars as well so we'll go through each of those and a little bit of Trivia as we work our way through all of the seasons of American Horror Story Story. All right here we go. Murder House is season. One of American horror story it aired in two thousand and eleven centers on the Harman family doctor Ben Harmon. Vivian and their daughter Violet. Who moved from Boston to Los Angeles? After Vivian has a miscarriage in Ben has an affair affair they move into a restored mansion unaware that the house is haunted by the ghost of its former residents and their victims. I really like the way that this description description wraps up What the show is about because that that really is what? The first season is Murder House. The first time I tried had to watch it being really honest with you I was not a fan. I did not understand what the show was supposed to be. Overall horror is my favorite genre in Russia and I love thrillers and adventure type movies and shows and I just hadn't seen anything like this and I didn't know oh where the story was going and so the first attempt that I made back when it was coming out on. TV In two thousand and eleven. I stopped watching a few episodes in now. Leader wants you could binged on net flicks and a couple of seasons were out vote. I decided you know. The show's really popular. I should probably give it another try so I started again with murder house and holy moly early. I absolutely fell in love with the show. I don't know what my problem was that first time around. I just must not have been in the mood or something but on the second watch I I fell in love by the end of the first season. I was all in and could not wait to see what else they were going to do. At that time I hadn't realized realized that the second season was going to be a totally different story so again a little learning curve on my part but it was the first time something like this had happened. I'm the show. Did Win. Numerous awards for being so just crazy. Cool I guess. Some Trivia that that I thought was interesting from this season There's one of the characters who dies and discovers their body and when that character discovers their own body they are not faking their reaction. The scream everything is genuine. That particular Miller actor had not seen their body double and absolutely freaked out. They caught it. And that's what ended up making the final cut. I find that got to be very interesting. Also Zachary Quinto who plays a gay man in the show. Hadn't actually come out as gay at the time of the airing. He did come out shortly after I find the timing on that really awesome and empowering that you know I like to think that something the thing about being that character and having it be so well received may have helped him to actually step up and come out and be who he is yes so that is murder house now. We're going to move on to season to season. Two of American horror story is called asylum this aired in two thousand and twelve. Of course it's a whole new setting a whole new set of characters but many of them are played by the same actors and this season begins in nineteen sixty four at the fictional mental institution. Briar cliff manner. Following the stories of the staff and inmates who occupy Diet and intercut with events in the past and present returning cast members from the previous season includes Zachary Quinto Sarah Paulson. Evan Peters Absolutely Rabi Jessica Lang Dylan McDermott and Francis Conroy. And for me. The most notable guest star for this particular season was this justifies. who also played he who must not be named Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series? Now while the first season takes place place in a beautiful house in a normal neighborhood and in regular everyday life asylum really takes place in a gritty dirty already tainted asylum. The whole environment is different flavor and feel is absolutely palpable. I really really really enjoyed this particular season of the show I've watched it through twice. At least maybe more now in this particular season is pretty graphic. There are a lot of buts shots in the season There's some canings and some of the clothing that the prisoners wear that sort of thing So actually this particular season Earned itself the nickname asylum. Which I thought was pretty funny? I had to share that with you guys another little interesting tidbit tidbits. That I found in this season is Dr Tread sins characters played by Acharya. Quinto who as I already mentioned is openly gay l.. His character victor in this particular season actually advocates behavior modification to treat and cure homosexuality. So there's a little bit of irony there one of the things that the show does well. is giving nods to developmentally disabled type characters. Even in the first season there's an actress who oh has down syndrome. Who's playing an amazing character? And she shows up in several other seasons as well There is an actress named Naomi. Aggress men who plays pepper. Who is a pinhead character Who is also developmentally delayed? She becomes one of the most lovable characters in the season. Even though she's not maybe the most prominent character she also had Toco through an extremely grueling makeup process in order to play that character. So I find that really interesting. She did a great job in acting in the role will and this character also shows up in another season. Adding the layer of creepy intensity in the show Most of the seasons seasons have some ties to real history and things that have happened For Asylum in particular Sarah Paulson's character is in under your cover person she goes undercover at Briar cliff. To do an expose on immoral practices but in reality. She's based on Donna J stone who went undercover to expose a Willow Brooks criminal practices Of course it played out a little bit differently for her and ultimately draw the Rivera Was the one who actually shut down willowbrook with an expose But it does add a level of creepy nece knowing that something similar you no in some ways have ha- has happened out there in the world I mean on that point asylums in general have a really creepy sort sort of aura to them. Most of them were used more like a prison to go and throw people who are different who were challenged challenged in any sort of way You know there because of the way that the laws used to be a husband who is no longer fond of their wife could have have them committed and no longer have to speak with them or deal with them There's been lots of different movies and shows about it and because of that and The I guess beginnings of Mental Health Services and some of the more brutal practices that went along with the beginning of that type of work Not Everybody who was put into an institution was treated very well and ask. Funding went away and supervision wasn't great. There's some pretty awful stories out there so I think in asylum is a magnificent setting setting for a horror movie. I would never be that person who goes to sleep in an asylum for any amount of money overnight because I'm just just going to play it safe All right well That's it for season one and season two when we come back from break. We're we'RE GONNA start talking about American horror stories season. "There were several but i think everybody said it was so devastating dating. You don't even see my face. Was that hug in the doorway of katie. Everybody said it was katie's moment but never said it was devastating and i was just thrilled for peter and for everybody involved in the film it had such a life post sundance. You also had another film that year that it is one of my all time favorites but it's also one of the all-time weirdest movies ever rate dogville curlers which basically basically as a movie without sets. You're playing a woman who clashes with nicole kidman's character. It's a very bizarre. There's a dog but we don't see the dog a year the bar i mean it's all insane thing but it's sort of like theater right on card piece. It's it's you know lars von career but i told you what my father said is. It was the whole set was just we had no physical building or we ought. It was all etched out on the stage age and we mind you know everything saw the film patty. I think you needed doors. It was hard for a lot of people to wrap their head around what it was pretty cool one last note about that crazy season the late harvey weinstein. You guys ted's not over sexual stuff but he was a bully in other ways and you got the better of him in this one. Can you share what the award season well. It was tough and it was tough is that he really wanted me to go in supporting on station agent to get out of but i was in supporting for pieces of april and bingham ray the great late bingham ray had already started a campaign and you know i said harvey. I'm the leading lady of station agent. This is i think falls. I'm the only gal i'm there. It's my like it's peter's movie but it's it's like i'm the leading lady with these two extraordinary actors and it was a tussle. It was tough till he lime really give but the voters overruled him right. Was that well he eventually put me in you know but he didn't do any campaigning for me. I still got nominated for sag which was chocking and still is one of my proudest moments. Does something happened but it was tough. It was tough. It caused strife and that was not needed. These were beautiful film. I mean who in their mind has these two gorgeous homes. I remember when i won the national board of review for both of them and i said i'm here tonight with these two films for less than a million dollars together and i remember morgan freeman standing up and clapping to me i mean it was such a celebratory tori time and he was just adamant. I go into the wrong category and i think the academy is really starting to try to be truthful about that and i think that's important will list was really you were at the heart of the he was tough harvey. I saw him later after that and you know he was fine but while other people have suffered with with him is mine was just a battle of spirit not a man who i believe that your first experience doing sort of multiple to pull episodes of something with h._b._o. Was shortly after that and that was six feet under you kind of popped in and out over a couple years as the sister is as a regular it was i mean i just kind of get a call from them to hey patty. Can you come shoot on the week of february twelfth twelve. I'm like okay always resisted t._v. You'd had once a stephen bochco thing but basically in the same way that you don't want to be tied down with husband ed's or you just couldn't do marriage or sometimes like series tv version. Wasn't the your commitment raiders yes six. It's six year commitment but this was nice to basically play the the hippie sister of francis conroy's character you you come in and out you gotta two emmys yes i did. That's and then you know i. I really feel bad for about the next few people you got to work within movies george clooney. I now ask you to play the wife of robert downey junior. This was a real person..

"He's with us now with us. Thank you honey down actually cabin. You just fucking took. The crown ground man wasn't half bad. It's worthless so yeah. He needs francis conroy. She's like the island doctors slash amateur mature photographer but as also getting his face all up at these beehives knowing that he's got. He's got the allergies he's got that old-timey bicycle and he's running right through the high death. Wish go around them. There's just something really funny about nicholas cage using a bicycle isaac for conveyance through the whole movie because it's like demeaning area used to be a motorcycle cop now. He's on fucking the same bicycle that walter matthau apple rides in i._q. And also it looks like he doesn't know how to use it really of course not well. He's just he's he's shivering from. All the beefier career he has. I have of you likes is being around. B.'s man beekeepers jerry. "I'm sure there is some but not evident. She's choose a truly lovely human being. I can't say enough nice things about her. We had a very interesting experience. I don't want to be a downer. I feel like i'm tone down our stores. That's okay we. This shows often sad. My son was born in los angeles. I was going to pick him up at the hospital and bring him and his mother home and when the elevator doors opened as i was going up to get them carol burnett walked out we hadn't seen each other for a while and i was doing six feet under and she was watching and she was very effusive about the show and she asked me what i was doing at the hospital and i said well. I just had add child. I'm picking up my son. She gave me a big embrace and was gone and i found out a couple of weeks later. She was there visiting her daughter. Kerry then then passed away but honestly. I can't tell you carol. Burnett is just a fantastic human being she's awesome. It had gone from working with her to nine hundred gig. I'm not quite sure and from no ego to like a couple of those people bulrod beverly not to they deserved. It couldn't agree more so so you do that and that's just exciting for me. I just wanted to mention that but you did. You do strength also monica. Do you know this guys guys guys buckle up. He was on friends what's wrong. He was not on frank. You cycle get out of my city. Yeah what a mean thing to do to me. I thought he was on french and friends never fuck. Did you read that fucking wikipedia the screwed again by wikipedia dammit. You weren't on friends. I was not on friends but there was a character will and grace that was based on me when i was doing a show called what if not for you i shared a double banger for those of you who don't know that the trailer with two rooms with two writers rob waterston and the lovely and late ellen idelson and i would come around with them. They were writers on carolina in the city. Rob is gay ellen straight. They were both convinced that i was into them. Oh what a great triangle so there are some episode of than will and grace which rob and eleanor writing on this habe wrote this about our experience with you thinking thinking that you're into each of us. Would you do the part at the time i couldn't. I was busy doing six feet under but there are some episode of will and grace where who played you. I can't remember you're terrific actor whose name i can't remember okay. Was it a cast member from friends by chance no never mind now your big break. Thank you six feet under prior to that sports night but yeah six feet under was huge yeah but that gets you three emmy nominations nominations that get your quote up. That's how much money you get paid l. Peter and i have this the whole time. We were on parenthood. We're both obsessed with our number. You rolled this out on a hike. This is how it started and i'm just going to say celebrity x. Found out that celebrity celebrity why had a bigger number than he did and it was really bent out of shape so then we started talking about bernie madoff and people well like what what are the things that you attach to in your head about your self worth and we came up to the minute big yes so we riffing on that on the trail but then it started we started to get into our own version of my number is it that makes you feel good and not feel good and like but the shit that you attach to that is nuts. That's one of us will be losing the script a bit. We'll be kind of sniffing our own farts and the other person will just go main number to kind of bring us back like get your head right right. Everything's golden yeah so it's a little the little safety valve my number. How did you come to be on six feet under like. I assume you just you audition for that. They saw bunch of people for both roles didn't you. I did so sports. Night was a terrific show as aaron sorkin first series and i found out it got cancelled and i just bought a house that looked like a taco bell. Yeah well josh josh molina. Did i play a lot of practical jokes on each other and josh charles was involved too and he had some friend who worked in an architectural magazine. I bought this basically adobe style home and he had written in this architectural magazine that i purchased this taco bell. That looked like it had elephantiasis in the same article he had he had planted that before performing on sports night that i would warm up in my dressing room by singing along to livy to loca. I can totally see it. Oh yeah what was your nickname on parenthood when you dance fever fever fever over so you initially wanted to play michael's role right right so shortly after the sportsnight went down and i was freaking out about this house. I thought oh my god i'm going to. I'm not going to be able to afford this house. I got this call from alan ball saying in a commodity district for the series for h._b._o. And he asked me which role i should audition for it. I thought it was kind of a trick question. In a way because like one of the brothers was gay was not and at the time i felt very strongly because matthew shepard that can happen in wyoming familiar with all the way you got drug behind truck. You can't stay out of the weeds kenya. I can't it's hard for me uh but anyway because remember matthew shepard right he was terribly killed by a bunch of homes so at that time they were looking at another person for a a paired with my david but michael c hall yeah bad ass is is it total data so talented but every now and again the perfect actor and the perfect role come together and i think michael c hall and david fisher is one of those combinations nations. He was perfect for that. The way things worked out. I really when i look at francis conroy richard jenkins lauren ambrose michael and myself. It looks like a family like they did did a good job guest in that family yes and everyone was phenomenal on that and i'm wondering as that show picked up steam and it became kind of an awards darling and again. You were nominated three times for ami amazing. Do you start having fantasies of grandeur like oh. I'm probably going to be the next bond because that's where my head would go. I mean i don't know we made that whole first season before any yeah those episodes aired so we made that whole season in a vacuum and we were all really into it and then aired and it was weird because it aired and i think some of those nominations and stuff rolled in yeah they did because nine eleven happened to two thousand one. Oh boy. I i very sorry very notorious. Winding road i think it was in the wake of the spanish flu uh that i did and then and then i was having a kid the beginning the beginning of the second season was son was born and that kind of shifted focus right because you were like i'm not going to now on my limited time off of that. Show go be in another state or country in a movie though i turned a lot of work down during those periods of time to spend time with my son which i look back and like anybody could have been changed. His diapers knows it is in terms of finding they go it is it is absolutely true. Though in terms of in terms of bonding it is really important. I guess i just want to go to the the fact that you and i and you've had a really long successful career mines marginally successful but i have been doing this for sixteen years and i gotta say without a doubt how best six year stretch of my life professionally ever on parenthood for however much. You guys should know however much you liked it. Then doubly is fun making it. It was the nicest most loving place to go to work. Every day was so beautiful. Title and peter was our leader. I don't say this lightly. Peter was our leader. He was the guy who remember my mom from three years before which is still mind mind-blowing. I never heard him talk. Shit never talk shit about anyone. Network kind benevolent just patient.

"She's covered in mud and she jumps up in going in through the front door like a cat. She jumps up a full story breaks window own window, just like a cat would. And then flash forward to the next morning where she sleeping on a shelf. First off that's a very sturdy show, and she's totally clean. And I'm like, where's the scene of her cleaning herself with our tongue? Wait does that. No. I mean, it's yeah. It's kinda gross. Okay. Go on. No. I it sounds like you like you wanted it to turn into sort of. No, dude. Like a Ken that Roddick? Yeah. I left the door open a little. Nothing sexier than a good. Garfield strip. So she goes to she takes you to work. She lose her job because like a catch. He's mean to her boss. But she's not even completely Mijas that weird switching back and forth. She's she's she at one point. She's like meek, and then she gets aggressive and engine. Mealy apologize for is which was actually kind of like a cap. She and she also is she she finds that magic cat again and opens up the charm box on its necklace. And that's what they call those things on a cat's. And it's got a intricately folded piece of paper with an address like you'd expect. She follows that too crazy library about cath cap myths. Think Francis Conroy. How am I doing? Dan is okay. And then France, Conroy is kind of weird. And then she throws what catnip in Halle Berry. And that's the moment when I'm like, I'm so sorry Halle Berry. You got a roll this catnip on your face for like a minute. That's right. Yeah. So how are you on Academy Award? I know. Yeah. And she. Yeah. She throws the ball cat named. She rolls on face and stuff I smelling hands. Because apparently, you can't come down sites. That was the point. I'm like, I don't think this is going to be a serious take on this character. Yeah. She starts shedding all over. So it's being a dick too. So I would love like there's a deleted scene where she just gets distracted by some string in the middle of the conversation. That's basically what was almost what was happening. I don't want to jump. She's like will. And she's also like you're getting close to the heart of this mythology. I'm gonna throw Ken they've been your face to this tract you Francis. Conroy pushes Halle Berry off of a balcony. Basically. She like Guinea has like break like a swinging door like a so moon door into nothingness. Wants to jump down. Yeah. And they really have a home that we get it. She's a she's got cat characteristics. The whole movie to keep hammering that from the point. She's eating cat food by the tin. She says I'm just having a little snack like off, dude. Yeah. What a weird way. I can't help but feel is tied to this being like a. Men trying to make a female hero and making to have the powers of like actual animal Batman having to swoop down in terms, and it's well like walking around like, I can't see anything. Let me yell at second. No one. Yeah. No on the note of I wanted to say say this later, but I'll note of no, no, no, you just brought it up on the note of they making a superhero movie from women like wouldn't more insulting within like the studio heads being like, all right? We gotta make a superhero movie for women..

"No because everybody else's so return buffoonery. It's just buffoonery even even Kathy Baker down there. Or are they still girl? Luckily this episode with didn't show. I I'm glad I watched this it really barely followed. I. I didn't see Joan Collins. They weren't in whatever bunker you're talking about. Okay focused. All it was was Emma Roberts and the male witch who I don't know he's new to the male the gay witch. The male gay witch, they go back to the murder house because that's where the anti Christ was born this guy, Michael can they another name. So the whole the whole episode took place at murder house reintroduced to Dylan McDermott and those three that I mentioned. Oh in the great of Francis. Fisher. Who are not Francis Fisher? But Francis Conroy who I know plays. She plays a witch to and coven in the season. But Conroy's they're playing the made that she played in season one. They all now are grossly out of place because they're so good like Connie Britton's dialogue in this episode was laughable, and I just roll my eyes in the moment. I toward the end it was laughable, and I immediately jumped into our grid are are run down in a Mike. Are gotta talk about this because this is just bad. It's it's sad to me. I loved this show for a couple of seasons. And it's for all the reasons I just laid out. It's just it's horrible to me. It's just horrible. So anyway, I didn't even watch the full first episode. I was signed. Oh god. I don't want to get to the first one. I'm no I watched four of them. I know you did. And then it's yeah. Then enough is enough. But I try every season. I think oh, maybe this will be it. Maybe the everyone. I've just been disappointed, isn't it looks? Oh, yeah. We're talking American horror story, apocalypse if you just tuned in. I watched this week's episode and Jessica Lang is Constance her first character fantastic. I mean, just I mean come on. Jessica Lang could be in the children's production of the Grinch and be fantastic or Shrek junior. I love when they do the junior versions of shows. But anyway, she could be a Latin junior Shrek junior and be know. Raise it raise the level. But. Anyway, I'm not going to belabor the point American horror story if you choose to watch it on demand on FX. Let's take a break when we come back. Speaking of scary. We'll keep on with this theme. Don McLean is barely here. This morning. Her bridges were almost scared right offer. Watching Netflix show. We'll talk about that. Next.

"Welcome to disturb. We are talking season eight episode three already forgot the name of this one for Yeah so <hes> I'm Rob Southgate with me. Chris Chris Mile and let's throw our social media upfront you could find us on twitter at disturbed pod. You can also find us on facebook. You can send us an email at southgate media group at gmail.com and we have had people bull getting interaction with us but the best actually had is when people jump on and talk to us right here as we're doing these live. I already screwed up. I said I was going to send out a tweet and let people know when we were going live. I forgot so I promise this going forward. We'll try to get that out earlier in the day and say like Hey. We're going on at eight tonight so people can join us in the chat because that was so much fun last time it was who's great so so Chris Yes sir. I WANNA start out by saying I'm really glad I hung in there by Dave. They flipped everything upside down. I mean this is at the end of this episode. It's not even the same shop no it's not it's completely different for an end. You know it's it's what they do so they will you know just like in roanoke where they got about halfway through and said we're going to changes to be something else. They did this year the third episode so yeah well it was it was pretty nuts. It's funny because we did get certain things right in our predictions but we'd certainly I mean I didn't expect almost anything the thing that happened in this one well I mean some of the things that happen aren't out of character but the ending definitely wasn't I mean even though we knew what cocoa getting stabbed in the head billy coming back now we did I about say billy Eichner who is GonNa come back in the first episode you did and I thought they brought him back in an awesome way but him standing cocoa in the head. I didn't see that coming. Oh No not at all that was great but when when they went back back just waiting for her to get what she she does awful she's awful I mean not the actress the person though she she's the one of the most despicable people and wasted treated the other one. She knew her from before which one man Yeah Billy Lord was her her assistant Mallory Mallory in in before the apocalypse right she was the one who took care of her and did all the stuff eight right. I forgot that she treats her like garbage. How `Bout that with Mallory though Oh yeah getting interviewed and she goes all of a sudden flame everywhere it was describing later? She's like there was a lot of fired and I love other. It's like okay. There's a fireplace do it again. No kidding holy cow in typical self entitled American fashion. Well needed at once do it again. It's like all right plus Langdon when his face went nuts. I'm like okay are they giving us witches and vampires. Is that what we're getting now or demons or whatever I mean something he's either a demon or a vampire. I don't know which but unclean normal but I mean you know. It's obvious that he's something else but yeah what is we don't know so yeah. Oh Hey our listener. Chris is on with does Geiger Chris. How's it going yeah this was this was quite an episode? I the last one I kept finding myself getting distracted and I go on twitter. I do whatever because you know I've got a million things going on this one. No doubt it was it was a quick forty two minutes. It was really really was it really was okay. Let's see if we could go through some of it so I don't even know where to start. I mean we started with with the billy. Lord seen that was that was fabulous and and then cocoa Coco's awful that hair all of it Evan Evan Peters. He's yeah that was that was really interesting too when he was talking to to Langdon about about evie dying rightly whatever I don't remember I was get it wrong. That was interesting when he was talking about that is like you didn't do anything I I can't tell if he did. I can't tell if what's reality and what isn't right. Yes if he's dead. She's not there and yes. He killed her okay but did he was she already. I don't I don't know I'm assuming stabbed her and I just I just don't even know so discombobulated right is it. Nobody seems really care do do they. Nobody really mentions it in any of the episode don't come so no. Hey you know just get rid of the Old Lady. Let's get it. Let's move on so more more more Jello for me. uh-huh yeah I read a review he'd always reading a recap of that last episode of the person who's really Kinda bashing on the Joan Collins Choice. They're like yeah good thing she's gone. I didn't really care for her. The character I I thought she was a perfect casting. I thought her character added a lot to it. So I disagree with the writer was I don't remember which which article is like buzzfeed or one of those but I know no one cares you know l. but I liked. I liked her addition there but we don't need I it was a good time to get rid of her. Yeah just I mean she was. I think good for what she did kind of that. She was actually if you look back. She was actually the most reasonable one of everybody there. <hes> because Evan Peters complete DB these horrible horrible person eat a horrible horrible person as an mallory is pretty horrible from what I've seen Dina Dinas not the greatest person either because when when when lane was like what are you doing here exactly on and she flipped. What are are you doing? You're you're like wait a minute. What is she got going on and then she was one of the witches right Yoshi Unaware witch I dunno I you know there's there's there's there's a lot going on even mallory? Isn't that great. If a person me immed- in Venable are definitely not good people so there might be out of the whole group three semi decent people will Jones wasn't note. She will call of what group why don't exactly what's left but I mean what's what's what's the boy's name. Chris delgadio video made a great point here. He said he should have been a witch. Though the the Sassine is Yemen you are totally right. She had that Magin her going up against Jessica laying yeah but with what's coming back. She's pretty Sassy. WHO's the red hair? I can't think of her name out the oh my gosh she's fantastic. I mean Francis Conroy geeing up with that hair. Yes that was spot on man. I love that it's crazy comes in and they're just the I remember the disdain they all had for everybody is the witches they were just great and it's great to see him back and I love that character of Sarah Paulson's she was. I thought that was really good. All my Gosh manege a win yeah when her you know leader character there got killed right venable got killed and she comes back as Cordelia good. I'm like thanks so much sense. We don't need venable anymore now. We've got this story with good and she looks even though we know it's her. She looks completely different Sir. I doubt they're going to do. She's two characters I think she's done but how about I think they're moving on from the. Bunker seen I think they are to how about the Kathy Bates stuff. We see this flashback and like it was really good. It was really like interesting and then she's like none of those memories. Remind right. I'm a robot but it says a heck is is this with the robot well. I think you know it's just going back to what I said earlier. I think that you just need somebody that he knows GonNa make it. You know robots not gonNA suffer from radiation poisoning and that's that can happen so if you're GonNa make something that reminds you of something good at her positive in your life not positive 'cause she definitely was not a positive person but somebody that you could count on maybe sliver of that so why did Langdon put a robot. They're made her in the image of something positive from his life but right. Why did he put a robot there except to execute everybody was he just trying to pull the witches out possibility ability yeah but he said he thinks he thought he killed them? All in one point he goes I think I killed them all in one part of the part of the show I don't I don't remember I'm telling you it was like a blur folks. I in the email that he talks about he goes. I think I killed them all but oh yeah right right right right I mean there's so much the question about Kathy Bates is going to be sitting for a while and issue the only robot right and you could see that she obviously fought within herself or in her mind or thought process or whatever it is about killing venable. She'd really couldn't help herself and she didn't understand why because she thought she was supposed to be loyal the vegetable and that you know Laden says killer and she's like okay. I guess yeah yeah she took that that gun and it was like she was fighting it the whole way and she did it she was like why did I do that. Because your program to Doughy Chris Road on here Langdon missed those witches maybe he did and he also wrote. I GIVE JESSICA laying a run for the money for instance is amazing yeah. She's this. This is perfect time to get cricket in. I'm telling you get cricket cricket and she make him the lead warlock would be credible. Yes a coke zero. He just shows up like like they go to like. I don't know if they're gonNA stay in the bunker or if they're going to all go to whatever this other area is right but either way I want to have the scene where the doors open like the big bad is coming in and it's cricket cricket yes that would be fantastic and he's superpower or Dennis O'hare one of the two yeah yeah you better track. The whole thing so Chris do miss meade is his secret crush. Okay Langdon secret crush. I don't.

"Yeah, he was weird and, and this was his recounting of it and they have people have all different recounting that are never the same when that wouldn't be a bad idea either. That's is a great idea. Hinting at that kind of when heath ledger was telling zone, solid different stories. Yes, they could probably take a patron that, but I don't know if they're gonna. I mean, I don't know. It's kind of. Dubious for DC to define the joker on celluloid. Right? Is the being less is an world or something that we're not supposed to take in canon? Yeah. Well, it's part of their like, look, if this is just like a standalone one off kind of thing. I think it's great. Like one version of it, it doesn't have to connect to other things. Bradley Cooper is now producing this movie and that and the cast. I mean, remember this cast Robert deniro says he Pete's Bill camp. Francis Conroy Brett Cullen is now cast Thomas Wayne in a whole bunch of awesome. Marc Maron and a whole bunch of awesome character actors you've seen and other shows and movies like the more I hear about this, the more I think this actually probably going to be really could like, I've I've kind of excited to see what they pull off with this low budget. So only got fifty, five million budget's going to be gritty. It'll be fine. It'll be just fine or like Logan. Good. I think this could be like Logan, dark. Good. Know if it's a hard are. I mean a lot. I like to cast. I'm a little dubious on making joker solo Philly. Yeah, I'm not put off by anything. Yeah, it's as long as it gets story. Honestly. You it's way too fucking early to even tell. Yeah, yeah, doesn't coming out the next year. But it's nice to get a good look at him moving out. I put this in there because we had discussed Mary Poppins earlier the Mary Poppins returns trailer. I didn't see his outs and I just put in here because rugs we were saying guys and guys at work two guys by h like we fucking love Mary puppets. They're like, it's my favorite Disney b.'s. I showed it to my kids. We watch it all the time, and I thought I was going to be mad at this, but you know what? I'm not mad. This might be huge for them. It's coming out the same day as December twenty. First, I didn't see the trailer who would look awesome singing in it. Here's what I like they did. What like they didn't Cobra KAI. I thought they were going to redo it. No, it is Jane. And Michael banks from the first movie Jane and Michael banks all grown up. They have kids and they're going through some shit and Mary Poppins comes back to help them out. And Emily blunt looks great. It's Mel lin-manuel Miranda's playing the Burt part and Dick Van Dyke does a cameo at the end of the trailer as the old guy from the Bank from the first movie, it looks super charming and just like delightful popping into animated things. It's it has the same feel of the original. I don't know. This is gonna be a big one for the Disney machine in December. Just watch trailer. Yeah, Mary Poppins does nothing for me. I have no comment on this. I just don't understand. Have you watched the first movie? Okay. So all I know is Mary Poppins in name only you? I've probably seen it. Don't remember..

"This is interesting, Matt Reeves. The director of the upcoming Batman movie is starting to give out some details about what the movie will or more importantly won't be k. he was speaking this week at the TC as that's the television critics association. They get together every year and the networks trot out their new stuff and they try to get some buzz going for their see working on a TV show. He has a show called the passage for FOX, and of course, naturally when he got up there, they talked less about his TV show more about his Batman, move your show talk about now. Yes. And so he said, we're working on getting our draft in the next couple of weeks and things are progressing. He says about the Batman movie. Here's what he led us. No, it's not going to be an origin tale. It's not gonna be Batman year one or anything that starts early in his career. He said it's definitely Batman, emotional, and him being the world's greatest detective. There are ways in connects to the DC universe. We're one of many pieces and asked if Ben. Affleck is still involved. He said hard? No, no, no. He said he is still involved, but no one knows what that means. Maybe they're doing Batman beyond to nasty. Cool. And he plays the old broken one. Asked if there would be another person starring next like Robin or something like that. He said, I can't comment on any of that stuff. So we're not getting a lot of details, but we know apparently it's not going to be a start over there. Don't not doing a brand new Batman movie. Fair enough. But it doesn't also sound like it's connected to the DC extended nothing that we've seen so far. No, wait what it it. It doesn't sound connected to anything we've seen not sound no doesn't get connected to Justice league or anything that we've seen so far. We don't know. It could be they could be absolutely. And he says. There's ways in which this connects to the DC universe as well. We're one of many pieces so I don't know. I don't know. That means very vague. It's going to suck. That's what I think he's trying to say. Yes, absolutely. While we're talking about the DC movies, one of the twenty-seven joker movies is in the news this week. Trying to see which one is this. One is carrot top as the joker. Yeah, that's the one. Jokers prop comedian, it's going to be great. I'm looking forward to crisis on infinite joker movies. The joker verse. What Keane Phoenix is going to play the joker in a standalone joker moving. They're adding to the cast daily. Robert deniro has been signed in Zaza beat. So I loved deadpool. Francis Conroy and now it looks like Marc Maron will be in the new movie. His acting career is blowing up because he's one of the low and since that show has been blowing up so as career. So apparently he's going to be one of the stars of the new joker that is when for the podcast community rent, they're really anytime podcasters get acting jobs. I have to cheer for that man because we might be next. I am next. I'm going to Florida next week to be in a movie the fuck outta here. Yeah, I play. I play a pedophile priest. Use supposed to play a pedophile priest in my move. Sorry, I've got too many pedophile priest offers. I can't boy. You gotta. Do. Browse playing for for me, father 'pisco I think is his name..
