"Oh yeah of course here. I mean i know the podcast is called. That sounds fun but we do talk about a lot of things so i hope. I hope that i'm not just going to force you to talk about fun. Things this whole time. Perfect though we will we will okay. You aren't playing around with this book until unity and so we just we're just going to jump in because if there's one thing that that is feels painful right now in the church. It's the disunity. So when did you write this. How did the pandemic play in. What do you feel like. What do you feel like we can do. Let's just go. yeah no i mean. There's so much this has been on my mind for several years now and it just keeps getting deeper and deeper and deeper the more. I studied the scriptures the more going. What in the world are we doing. the way we are Acting out as a church makes absolutely no sense biblically. And the more. I studied the scriptures the more convinced of this and a lot of it I just realized. I've been a christian for about forty years now and i right. When i became a believer. I jumped into this bible quizzing memorizing competition. Because i was so competitive. I just any competition in okay and i'm going to win and i did okay but the first passage i memorize was john chapter fourteen through john chapter seventeen. Oh my gosh. Memorizing the whole prayer. Oh yeah forty years ago. Okay and we memorize john for one three and ten that year too but i was. It was hitting me. I'm going to con-. I memorize this literature forty years ago and i didn't get it. I haven't understood it. I don't know it. And i'm reading these passages where jesus saying i and the father of one you know and they have this relationship. And he's he's inviting us into this oneness with god. The father son holy spirit and how they interact with each other and now we can have that with one another and with him and sure. I memorized it. But i didn't know it and i haven't known it and i'm still in this process of learning it and i'm going. What have we been doing all these years. you know. it's a lot of is this horizontal relationship with each other and we don't quite understand like this incredible mystery were invited into and it's because of that that we're not we're not unified because we don't we don't get how rich how deep how overwhelming this is. And so. I don't know. I just had to write about all of these things. They got his teaching and continuing to teach me. Can we talk a minute about scripture memorization. How important is that for you. In your faith life has been huge. I will be honest. I my mind is getting messed up. I just think there's so much stimulation so much input so much entertainment or education and it's it's. It's almost making it harder and harder to meditate on a few things and memorize right. Because you don't wanna miss out on all the news you can have and and what's going with all these people but when you do that you lose the ability to truly focus on a few things you don't like i used to be able to in the early days. I heard you say if gathering you said that you had felt foggy in your mind because of all the news you were taking in and how you had to take a break from that. A man like an feel better if francis chan. It's trouble with how much the internet is offering. So how can you talk a little bit about your rhythms and boundaries. You've drawn as we're all trying so for me. I plug my phone in across the room. When i go to bed now. So that's one of my rhythms. What are some of the rhythms. You have to try to simplify. Oh gosh it's there's so many things again. please don't take this like oh he's got this nail. I mean here's what. I try to do You know because my you know oversee those those that bingo game where there's all those balls rattling around like that is my mind. God is one of those balls and and it drives me nuts that i have so many things bouncing around in here and some trying to just take these things out and say you know what first thing in the morning. I'm not going to check my messages. I don't care The most important thing is that. I really come before my creator and raise him that i have another day of life. I mean he determines whether i had another day of life and so why would i run to anyone else. Nothing is as urgent as this. I've gotta get on my knees and join with heaven as they're screaming. Holy holy holy. I have to think about that thrown because we pray you know as it is in heaven. That's why we wanted here in heaven. They've been worshiping. God all night and so i just want to not start worshipping but join into their worship and go. I'm right here with them. Lord holy holy holy and word. The is a lamb who was slain. Here i am just another being on the outskirts of that throne going. Yes god it is about you. Otherwise i will jump onto my phone and listen to all these messages. That are me and suddenly. I think i'm central because all these people need to get my attention. And i need to quickly respond to them. No i don't wanna start my day that way. I wanna start my day going. You know what. I'm just another little spec around this thrown and it is about you and i want this day to be out you and hallowed. Be your name not mine. Yeah a lot of people talk about starting their morning and scripture and and some will push back and say. But i'm better at night like i'd rather read before i go to bed. I'm a. I'm a morning gal with you. You're not a. But i'm with you. Because i feel like it sets up my day. How are your rhythms different. In the evening you know it's a little bit having Seven children grandchildren. You know wife just life. It just feels so busy It feels like the day gets biz busier. As it progresses after school's over then the kids are there and then ministry and all the people you know are our front doors wide open so people are just coming in and out and so it's kind of like A little bit of reflection at the end of the day. But honestly i'm just spent and i'm exhausted and so is not typically a quiet time for me at the end of the day. That's what i've found is that the morning is the only time people don't expect me to respond any other time. The rest of the day they. The world is expected meter respond. And so in the morning. No one's texting made. That is more interesting to me than what. I'm reading in the bible exactly. Yeah the morning times. You're right and the people who are early in the morning. Usually it is because they're getting together with the lord it's not because they're anticipating my response.

"People will flock to it. And the name of jesus doesn't draw like that and yet when we pray hallowed be thy name i forgot. I want my actions to follow that. I don't like that people are attracted to certain people are attracted to mind name and will attend for that and yet the name of jesus is not sacred in our nation and it doesn't seem to be sacred in the church even and i want to be a part of changing that somehow lord and so. What does that mean. I'll do anything anything. I must decrease some ou- and your name must increase and then there is. I guess i want to ask you. This is just for me. Maybe listeners are like who cares. But i think i want to ask you. How do you fight that. Because i mean you've just even your book. I mean francis. Channeling people will show up to a conference. Because you're there people will buy your book because your names on it. And i can say like you know is because you have so many great things to say and i don't need to say that here. We know that. But how do you fight that of not succumbing to am one of those people. I mean it's happen. I can look back in life and see these moments of like flesh lee excitement. You know they were the first ones was. There was just this advertising for this conference and just had these names like stanley. Warren chan high bowls. Now is it or you might have been another name or two. And i thought wow mall you have to say is chan and they know it's me you know how many millions of fans are. They're stupid sinful walking. I remember that time seeing my face on a magazine and it was on every seat at this conference. And there's posing and i liked it and and seeing my name in print on a book and i liked it and there was nothing about it it was there and i never remember even another person i had asked. Hey can we get together. And when i got to his house i'm like oh man. Thanks for taking time to be with me and just wanna learn some things gleaned from you he goes off course i would take time for you. You know you're one of the top twenty podcasts. Which i didn't know that time he goes. Did you know you can look that up tunes because yeah you're number nineteen and number two and so then the competitive flashes like okay number two. I'm coming after you. You know it's like so so immature pride fall. I got caught up. I still get caught a only thing. That rings me. Back is when i am silent. My phone is gone. everything is gone. And it's me and all mighty god together just me at his throne and he shows me one. I've been doing to make. Halloween francis chan's name and to picture like i'm breathing. Because you're letting me. I should be destroyed obliterated in your presence because of your own and you sacrifice so that we can have this oneness and nail the live on this earth and i'm supposed to be making much of you. Oh my gosh forgive me. I am so sick changed me. I am so sorry in tears in his presence. And so when i'm close to him that doesn't happen because those who are closest to him you're not arrogant because even those high angels that are right there in his presence there the most humble they're the most holy holy holy is the lord. God on that's all they can say as they cover themselves up but the further we get away from him. That's when we can talk about ourselves but when we're staring at him regularly we don't want anyone looking at us. We are drawing attention to him and so for me. It is only been went on close to him and away from all the other noise that i can see my own san and recognize my need for god to humble me Well thank you for that. Even if it was just for me. I appreciate that incur. That word of encouragement. I think my follow up question for that would as people are listening. There are so many people to follow right now so many things to say. And i'm a podcast sir. And there are books and their podcast in their conference in their churches and their worship. And they're just like oh my gosh and you talk about this a little bit like these islands that we find ourselves and it's like are quote unquote tribe. What is your encouragement to those people to not even make much of francis or jamie but only much of jeez like what is your encouragement to them. And i know it's probably going to be no different than what you just said but there is just. We are inundated with people to follow who most of them probably good motives. Yeah i really believe that one of our biggest problems is we talked too much. And i'm about to pursue a season of silence just greater silence. The bible says you know with the abundance of words sin is not absent so the more i talk the more i'm gonna send and i just wonder anything about that early. Church and acts chapter four and says the full number of believers were one heart and soul before there was a bible and united income for hundreds of years later. And what did they do. It wasn't that much to fight about a stared at a piece of bread. Are you kidding me. Son of god roque his body in shed his blood. The aid drank in his presence. There was such unity. And you know when they ask. Jesus how do we pray he just said when you pray say this our father who are in heaven yes likely Five says you know card your steps when you draw near to the house of god. Don't don't come in and just start. Talking is people don't recognize that they're offering a foolish offering that is evil and what if believers spent more time in silence. You know it's like you get attacked in your first instinct. Is i gotta fight back in defend myself and everything else in. But that's just adding everything else. What if there is greater silence and we got back to like whoa just gay. That is beauty Think about the body. And blood. Of christ as i'm humbled in weeping look across from me. There's jamie on her knees crying over the bread and the cup in marveling at how could god so holy sacrificed so much for her and we're both just reaping looking at each other. What does look like can you. What what he say. How can we be how can repeat. Earn is present the if we spent more time doing that and less time talking which it seems like. That's what heaven is. It seems like there's more just staring at the throne in awe and listening to others just praising him collectively sing worthy is the lamb who was slain holy holy holy is lord almighty who was in his in his to come in the more we do that and humbly have this wonder and reverence for him. It's really hard to fight and you recognize how much you've been forgiven of and how huge that gap is between ham. Yourself is hard to be proud in. It's hard to fight on a danette. Same we.

"I've been a Christian pretty much my whole life, and you know, have spent a lot of time reading the bible, but I don't really know the lot of the distinctions between the gospels themselves. Tell me why the book of Mark stands out from the other gospels to you. And why it was something you wanted to teach through. Well, I think because okay. Like when I was back at cornerstone, I had taught to Matthew, and Luke, and John and I never preached through Mark. So honestly that was intriguing to me. I I mean, some of it, you know, is no real spiritual thing, it was just for the sake of time. It was a shorter gospel that we could could make it through. But you know, there's there's something cool about tot through verse by verse through books of the bible. There's something also that's beneficial when you can fly through something because the flow of the book a little bit more easily. And that's what I liked about the series was okay? We only have a few hours that's fly through this book. And you get something that I think you don't as -sarily get when you go word for word over several years. Having not, you know, you mentioned when you're a cornerstone preaching through some of the other gospels. What surprised you when you were doing this deep dive into the book of Mark? Israel, change, everything because you could touch it. You can you can imagine you see people walking around, and you're you're looking at their life and kosh literally standing here. Like, what would I felt like being on the mount of olives? And you know, maybe standing there with plasmas who's been raised from the dead and you're heading in. And here's Jesus who has you've seen it walk on water. You know, what I'm I so chronologically we've gone through this. And I I'm experiencing on that boat. I'm experiencing amount of transfiguration now on the amount of lives. And and everyone's going nuts because here's the most powerful beings ever stepped foot on this earth right here, and you're about to walk in the city and takeover or so you'd think and then suddenly you realize oh my gosh. He's going to be tortured. And if I follow my mom going to be tortured. And you start to think what would Francis Chan have done at that moment. Would I have found him to the cross or word? I backed off in like this little Christianity. This is real ended gets and you just realize. Wow. What kind of best sage have? We been preaching in. Oh here in America. Has it has it been a true gospel, and his my mind warped just because of the world that I live in and how can I scape from it? So I don't think it was a different in teaching Luke or teaching Mark. It was more just a context of being in Israel and teaching one of the gospels..

"You know, and you have many countries where end even the inner city is America where most of those passers by vocational and and just showing an example like in in San Francisco, which is the most think it's the most expensive city in America. Now you've got, you know, our our passers are all working and none of our paid by the church. We have a church with zero budget so own. The money goes to the poor and two missions and and yet it's operating fine. So just showing that it's possible and I would even say it's, it's been really helpful in this environment. When people are skeptical, we're just trying to come up with a way to do research and showing people's ad. It's possible, but I'm not saying that it's the only way to do it. I, as you say that, I thought, I wonder if you, let's say, you know you, you. Hopped in a time machine and use zapped back, you know, a few years back and you're a younger, Francis Chan and you're out yonder you're about to start cornerstone church. What would you tell yourself? I would say go to the scriptures breed. The scriptures start with a blank piece of paper, you know, and the scriptures to start writing down like what would please God most and according to the scriptures, you know, what does he want of the church? How how did he envisions short, he'd die for what? If things most emphasized and work on those things? I. Because step one to me was, you know, back then was okay. I gotta put a sermon together. Step two is I got to gather people together to hear my sermon. So let's find a place to do that. Step three was I gotta gather someone to, you know, a band or so wanna lead worship. You know, it's just like, here's the steps, but did I get that from scripture right? Or did I get that from? Well, this is what everyone dies and I don't know. My that list would look different. If I started with the scriptures and really prayed it through in really sought face God. That was Francis Chan, make sure to check out. His new book letters to the church. It comes out..

Jackson to a to a rodeo injected roaming, and you know you go up there and every, you know, people are riding around and there's you're, you're, you're on the, you're seeing people on the bowl trying to stay on for seconds or whatever. And I was kind of like I, okay, maybe this is a little weird that they just keep this bullpen and then have them trying to throw a human off of them. I can't tell the bowls having fun with this or if this is just so angry that's bucking. Yeah. And then and then they bring out the kids who have been true who are on horseback, I guess that they just know how to ride horses in Jackson Wyoming, and they release these cats like little calves at rodeo, and the kids have to the goal is to LASSO the calf twice once around the horns and once by the legs. So the cath gets pulled apart and crashes into the dirt, like an idiot, like list. Piece of trash and this baby cow keeps face planting over and everybody. Cheers. And at that point I had to, I felt like a snow. I've one of those snowflake millennials. They always accuse us of like, this is this is. Yeah, that's. That poor cow is living in America's funniest home videos flip every day. In the dirt. I mean, I think Kathy roping is one of the better things, the rodeo because they just tie them up and then let them go the the bulls that they ride or getting stabbed in the side, which is making them jump that's way worse. Graphic, but I'm just saying this can't be what better way, keep track cows and Brandon them right. Like put a leash around. I'm like, oh, what was the pink? Leashes mine or I could burn my signature into them. Seems a little more humane, but whatever they do in Scotland Jesse for sheep is they spray pay like a circle on, like all the shepherds. Sheep run together and like someone, they'll have a green dot spray paint on all the ones that are owned by you and pink on all the ones that are owned by me. And so it's not painful. Just spray, not only is that more ethical. It looks way cooler seems remarkably easier. Like if you're like, hey, you got to walk up to that cow with a hot iron, stick it on like, are you insane insane to alive, gigantic ham, or you can go up and spray paint him. He would even know he'd just we graphs, what's his guy doing sh- done, you You know. know, I'm not gonna get kicked for that. The weirdest I think we've ever had during it was it was all over this all over. We call variety. Righty, right. All right. Stay tuned up. Next, for instance, chain joins us..

"Hi was at there are older Riina downtown, and it was during when when the circus was in town have been like ten years ago and they, you know. So they were doing there couple of weeks of shows and I, I was there for something and we were in the back hallways. Yeah, you know, if you've ever been to an arena, like, you know, obviously there's, there's like a pretty wide hallway back to the locker room or load in or whatever, and they had to. That's where they stored the elephants. Oh, man. During the day. The elephants just stock in the hallway. Yeah. In in the early nineteen hundreds fighting and endangered species with the barstool in a bull. Web seemed like an acceptable form of entertainment. Thankfully, we live in a more enlightened time. I remember when they banned the elephants stuff from the circus because that was probably seven or eight years ago and then and then there's just like the people's appetite of entertainment just change. It was almost a SeaWorld black moment. You know, just kind of like we don't like this anymore and then boom, and they just went out of business. Have you forgotten to ride on an elephant? I've always wanted to do that. I've never zoo and stuff like that. And you did. Then. At the zoo? Yeah. The Sanford zoo in north. When I growing up, they had a elephant exhibit school every morning. You could pay five bucks. When you wrote elephants elementary. Sit on top. You have a very long pole with a string peanut on it. Direction you want in the Middle East cable times. Have you done that? Now? I've sat on, but I didn't like an Israel, but I really, I didn't see pictures of people in Mike Thailand and that kind of stuff who get to ride elephants. It's a slow lumber. Yeah, I. Friendly. They seem like they're happy to know ya. I don't know. I just think they'd be friendly. Here's thing. I'm not comfortable writing any animal. I don't. I don't. The eighty. You know, I'd rather walk by the I've heard and I'm not a horse person, but I've heard that like, you know, you know, there's certain dogs that are bred for like hunting. They need to do that in their DNA type of courses are like that with like people want for recent Safra ethical reasons, ethical problem with back riding riding, whatever for transportation. Control. I like knowing that this is a while animal and if he wanted to freak out, I just know if I was a wild animal at one point when once they thought they had me prequel guy, he's giving rise all over town. Don't get too comfy with me, and I'd buck somebody or take him on a real wild ride. Six straight hours around too..

"Now the cover is five. Safari, looking animals walking towards towards you as the consumer out in the out in the wilderness ton in a desert out in the safari. It looks like something from Lion King. So there's zebra, an elephant, tiger giraffe. Anna gorilla they are set free no longer in cages. It was a huge deal. It's been for over a century. The animal cracker box is from the late eighteen hundreds of for over a century. The boxes looked exactly the same. All the animals have been caged and now no longer do they pledge allegiance to the caged box. Now it is free animals roaming across the Sahara. The interesting. Interestingly, in nineteen fifty, four president, Dwight D Eisenhower. No, but now they're coming towards you like their free. So you are. There you are in their field and they're saying, we don't want you here and they're coming to mull you. That's right. I'm about to eat your head off. Draft and eat at either be doing that. I didn't didn't Barnum Bailey like shutdown done. Yeah, gone so sad. It's now an animal cracker business. They've converted the whole thing all in on the animal crackers. And now those animals are free. Rang could be the animal cracker. You gotta get like, eat this box coralling we don't know. Yeah, the whole strike the whole series thing is something like it's like one of those things you grew up with never really think about, and then you're like, kinda jacked up that they're changing. Childhood are weird like that that never wanted to win kid. When I was a kid, watching a guy in a top hat and a whip hold a chair and fight off lions seem pretty cool. Now mess up unless your name trapper Mike in you're doing and somebody's backyard to protect children, pane of glass. Family not do it for entertainment..

"Yeah. So you know, so pre prior to nineteen fifty four. It was like I pledge allegiance to the flag nights. It's American into the for which it stands. One nation indivisible with liberty and Justice. Got so ninety four. Yeah. Then in nineteen fifty, seven President Eisenhower added in God. We trust to money so he he did. He did the to the interesting, so it's all in just sixty seventy years ago. This isn't a historical. Can you imagine if like President Trump had done that today, people be losing their minds. It would be this is the establishment of a state religion. The ads. The other thing too. I mean, this is a whole different. We ran something on the site of few years ago. Eight people can look it up by presents Frankel whose is a great bible teacher guy. And he was questioning, you know whether early Christians would even recite the pledge of allegiance bike when you break down what it says. Like my allegiance is personally pledged to a flak. That's that's. That's the crux of it, right? Like is even that something that's biblical like should we personally be pledging allegiance to a symbol that ultimately is a nation that ultimately is so much of a construct, right? We created the borders. We created the government. The no one argues that is a contracts only few hundred years old Ryan. It wasn't a salad by God who satisfy people, right? That's not for debate. Should we a pledge in our allegiance, the symbol of a man construct Biblically? Or should we only pledge our allegiance to the kingdom that is alternately borderless used to teach elementary school? There were kids. And my class every year who did not do the pledge and you can't make. I mean, obviously you're not gonna make them, but there are kids every year who were either but religiously or because their parents didn't believe that they did not play, and I taught in public school so on the Christian school. So there were kids every year who wouldn't do the pledge. Sense intellectually that that a religious person would not the pledge because because if I'm pledging allegiance as to what if what, if the flag suddenly would if someone comes into power does something that I don't believe in, I don't want my lead into that internet like, no, and I'm not saying people should refuse, but I think it's, I think you are. I think it's an interesting intellectual. Hi. I hear what you're. I'm just saying it's an interesting intellectual exercise that I feel like a lot of people have engaged with because just a part of our life, like you grow up saying what you're laying down and what I think what what saying. Is everybody should kneel. Here's what I'm. Next week, Trevor Michael, the heat to think he's got some pretty fringe ideas about this. What do you have any? Well, I I'm going to combine the two teams of our two previous slices with animals and controversy. Because did you guys do you guys remember the box of Barnum Barnum Bailey animal crackers. Remember the old box. It just for theater, the mines for everyone. If you can't remember it says, Barnum's animal crackers across the top, and then it split into four quadrants. And there is a lion cub. It's like a parent. Child thing is real cute. A line in cub, a polar bear, a gorilla and an elephant, and it looks like a boxcar. Remember. Old trains trains taken the circus from town to town, and the animals will be on the boxes, and that's what the the picture was. Yeah, right. Well, I'm here to tell you there are no more cages on the box of the Barnum's animal crackers cages train anymore. That's right. Well, and they did not like that that all four eight. If you count mother and child all the animals on the cover of animal father and child. I'm sure it is Cameron. I'm sure it's father and child. You're right. Which one would you like it to be the tiger? Probably the lion. The lion? Yeah. Yeah, I figured I got. I got you now that it's getting hot..

Last trying to get into the habit is he thought he knows it takes Joey, come at me browser. He he's hunting for sport. At this point, he's trying to get into the house. I know. How the family literally said they're considering putting the house on the market. I would. Do you have to disclose something like that? It's in the newspaper. I mean, who would buy this is this is a legit nightmare play. Now for this family, they have people is that people eating list? Well, well, they called like the fish and wildlife. See this one of the things. If it was like a horror movie, I wouldn't believe it. I wouldn't believe that like this would actually happen. But I mean, I you, okay, remember how we talk. Are carnivorous, they eggs, smaller, reptiles, fish, birds, small mammals about like dogs or something. Yeah, yeah. So remember a couple of weeks that Daily Beast, long form story about the guy who stole the McDonald's. You know that that stole the McDonald's game pieces and his option for a movie. This is relevant movies. The first one we need an option nece. Trapper regular size monitor lizards, regular size. Have been known to crush bones in human all money. Is not gonna play. Jesse. You're going to play trapper mind driver, Mike. This is regular size ones, which are, you know, foot long, the venom isn't fatal to humans, but it can cause significant illness and obvious pain. The real danger in a monitor lizards venomous by is for small animals or infants. And this is a regular. Couple has a two year old and a four year old Ono in the house. It's looking in the window to old next pushing into the window, right? Trying to see how strong the glasses. Cameron? He's got a bus through bus through this is open the joint. I, he's gonna find it entrance. Four one. He's literally terrible. You're not even safe in your own home. At this point, I don't think option, but to move his house. Now you You just just gotta go. gotta go time. You go to your car, you're running every time you go to your car. You're no question. The worst thing is he made travel. Mike who seems like people in town not over my. He's made me look like a fool. This may look at Trevor my face Mike. The guy who suffers fools man for Mike on the scene, and he looks like bake idiot. One job one job to take care of this all you've called a week as a snapping turtle, and he's like, oh, it's good that I call this because he could have eaten this. And I like deprived of new just made him angry. He was saving that snapping turtle trapper. Hang angry going after the children on the other side of that very thin. They're all that stands between this family, a carton of delicious eggs and a gigantic monitor is a thin planes of glass. Thanks a lot travel. My goodness. All All right. right. Terrible. We're gonna need an update. Well, I'm considering I didn't tell anyone. I can't wait. I not even joking about this. I'm considering calling Trevor Mike next week. And I wanna I wanna get some tips joking traffic if he hasn't caught it yet to get tips feels a little cruel, but to talk to him feels either way either way I am going to make and I'm not joking. There is outside a man dressed, like a Butler tuxedo with a cummerbund entails, and you answer their news Mr. Strang's in euro, yes, pulls out a case like a little pirate treasure chest, opens it up inside. A carbon fiber card. And he's, he says, my name is Jade. Raja chilly. He waits today. Jeeves comes with the card keys. He is your Chili's concierge. Okay. You know, and you're like, you're like a man. I'm really craving some some, some baby back ribs. And he's like at home or the restaurants. Apron got a cooler, he's pulled behind him, and he starts cooking him in your home. Chef. He's he's Roger. Chilies personal chef sent by. I mean, there's an army of these people. Who spent, you know, quivalent of like a med school degree training to be Chili's concierge of of the two brothers on the only one who worked at a Chili's. Yeah, I actually fired. I was on the inside and and he has the love. Well, these loved by the restaurant. The restaurant. Well, obviously weren't too impressed. Actually start something where the in five years, the Chili's black card is cooler than having your AmEx black already cooler than having. Because if you have enough. Enough credit, they'll say, I'm going to spend money, they'll probably give you Walter wealthy, incredible credit. You know, it's been millions of dollars. You can get in the car, but you know, money's not gonna buy you a Chili's, no black card. This is this is not about only. The only criteria is love. I would really like to polo black card. Can we start asking them? Can we just start deciding where we. They don't. They don't like me. They don't. They don't. DM's like Chandler. But a lot of people don't need to love us back. Chili's is like, they love me. I love you. I mean, like Chili's is like excited, desperate girl. They responded that they love now. Phillies. Is the prettiest girl to dance friend. Everyone. She. Sidling not saddling. She doesn't saddle him. She side. First of all. Are you? Are you saying she's the prettiest girl the dance? She doesn't know it. No, she knows. This is the one. Waiting. Her whole life is right. Waiting her whole life for that. That ranch trip of goals with the golden slipper. Everyone has come all everyone has come around in and tried to women her. The one that holds the the founded jam with Chili's is a cute girl that everybody knows. And she made it on homecoming corporate. She was at the Queen and nobody dates her, but everybody loves her. And then suddenly suddenly this really cute guy who loves to play poker mongo. Notice. Down dead wrong. And I and I do not mind saying that. Here's my proof. Yeah. Go to Chili's tonight. I'm not the one who said that. Chandler always says, I'm not the bad son. That's a good line. He should keep that line. I'm not. I'm not the bad. Yeah. Well, now know, well. People want to hear more. I have not seen anything in the mail yet. So did they respond to your DM? Yeah. Well, I said so I sent my address and I said, thank you. I love you and they said, hold on a free at the just casually said, thank you. I love you. DM's very important voices in my life. So I don't use that. And they said in response love is super mutual. This is the official. I heard this. Epistle blue checkmark. Kallis silly. Oh my goodness. Mutual mutual mutual feels much bigger than Chili's. We, we're in the car. Then we were discussing this. We were discussing this because here's the deal, whoever they had to have heard the episode where we talked about Corey Bury's took play black card conflicted with your love for Chile's. Right? You're you. You met the founder, Roger, chilly, and you're going to do a podcast right from jellies chilling Chandler? We have given them thousands of dollars of either way, but the. Said would send people to eat at Chili's. People on Twitter be like, you know what? I'm gonna go to Chili's. I saw somebody came in all talk on real talk. I got. I know we have been sending them business. We've worn them that the that the tile tabletop grout is probably disgusting unsanitary, but people are saying, you know what the case was worth it. And the other thing too is like my what? I came in, I'm bummed you're leaving today. We're going out to Chili's tonight to celebrate. Impact we Chili's. Tired. There's tons of places to go after the right nine Chili's as far as. Taste. I'm going number one. I don't think of black card existed prior to our podcast. Jerry, Jerry Seinfeld tells the story famously about the AmEx black card. And he was on a shoot one day and crew member asked him, hey, do you have a black card, AmEx of the mythology? You know, the the myth of the black are, do you have one and Jerry Seinfeld called the president of antics and said, hey, I wanna blackheart and the guy told him the president said, no, it's just a legend. There is no black card any and then he goes, maybe we should make one. Yeah, and Jerry goes, you should make one and I want the first one and so-. AmEx created a black card gave Jerry Seinfeld number one. And now they do it for like the Uber high. If you spend over a quarter million dollars Uber, Uber high end people, they created black hard because somebody said you should have a black car yet, and we said to chilis blackheart now what will the black card do my theory? I have a theory here, glorified gift card. No. I think the first thing that's gonna show up in the mail is actually just a black colored chilies gift card for hundred bucks. Kind of. Make a black card do because the way Chandler and his friends would consume chilies would put them out of business, an opening Deidre legit. I've never eaten on test in Scottish fish and chips, but it's like it just nasty fried God. It's like the food over there doesn't really appeal to me. In meat pies, like, that's it. Mars bars which are like Snickers bars. Does that do anything for anyone over there? Live past the age of forty. Fried Mars. They have to. You have to build up the layers of warmth, you know, kinda like blubber style, you know, because it's really, it's really all the time they're wearing skirts. They need.
