"Now. Until forever for not so around lunchtime today and thank you very much as always, for having us in Alright. Telephone number here is 410 Wcbm 6 80 trophy like distance. It's 1 800 wcbm 68 If you want to join the conversation, which I urge you to do. By the way. And, um there's so much that has been going on during the course of this past couple of days. And this is a bit of frustration because I had this thing set aside. I'm sorry, I'll find it the next couple of minutes there Cheryl Chumley piece from this weekend's Washington Times. And I've gone to the site and nobody's updated it since Friday. So I'm kind of hoping they get an updated because I want to pass along parts of it to you because it's pretty good. I mean, it's really a very, very good column. And I, you know, I had an email to me. Can't fight it in my emails. I can't find it. You wear a similar effect. Uh, so there we have it. And you know, we we do what we can We do what we can Alright 410 wcbm 6 80. Um you see, Where was I? Um okay. Out in California. Guests given Newsome Seems to be in trouble out there, which is a bit of a surprise. Um Democrats hold about a 2 to 1 advantage and voter registration. But in the General Assembly 59 of 80 seats are held by Democrats. The Senate 31 of the 40. Republican hasn't won a statewide race for the U. S. Senate and more than 30 years. But coming up on the 14th of September. That's just next week. He is facing a real tight election call coming up. Lot of pundits thought that the recall organizers wouldn't get the required signatures the service to get thrown out and so forth, and so on. As the only governor. This is Scott Walker from California. I served Wisconsin wrote this, so he's the only governor who had faced a recall election. And so he knows the thing or two about this. They're a couple differences between the recall on Wisconsin won in California it Wisconsin, An elected official can face a recall election. If enough signatures are collected, and the person has been in office for at least a year. The one you delay was a big deal. Because it gave him time to do stuff, however. What's happening in California right now. They stink out there. High for the second worse unemployment rate in the nation. 1/5 of all the homeless population in the country have gone there. Housing costs are double double The national average Poverty continues to be an issue and now Larry Elder who doesn't talk show out there. Is running against given Newsom in this recall thing. And, uh, Newsome because he is Committed some flagrant acts of hypocrisy. Particularly came to Covid, 19 and eating. It is Russian called the French laundry with no mask on Then he is facing some real issues. So the solution for a Democrat in the circumstances to slime the Republican so yes, Newsome has been going after Larry Elder Elder yesterday was on Fox News and had this comment. If it only becomes governor. People are going to drop dead in the streets. I'm not anti vax, despite what his ads say I've been vaccinated because I'm in a high risk category and I urge people who are in categories that are high risk to be vaccinated. But I don't believe the science does compel Children to be vaccinated. They're not likely to contract the coronavirus. They're not likely to get really sick. They're not likely to go to hospital, and they're certainly not likely to die. I believe that's consistent with the science people like Dr Marty Makary from Johns Hopkins and Scott Atlas from Hoover. I think that's consistent, but the point is He's trying to turn this into to a referendum against scare because he can't defend his record on crime. He can't defend his record on homelessness. He can defend his record on the rise. The cost of living. You can't explain why people live in California for the first time in our states 170 YEAR history. No. One thing I got to notice. A talk show host is that Guy's got to get him around twice as much contest near show. What's I do at that speed? It's a very elder, he said. This is just all Newsome scare tactics, and it is Question is whether or not they'll be successful again. The numbers are with Newsom. If you just look at the raw numbers, there's you know, no member of the GOP who's won a Senate race there in 30 years. Republican governors are, you know, rear as hen's teeth out there? The last one was nominally Republicans. Schwarzenegger, uh and it turns out to be much more center left and center, right? But Larry Elder seems to be posing a real threat. Now. What's interesting about this is this is a belt weather if it happens that Newsome gets through the recall. But squeaks through You know if three calls there and yes to actually go up and lose. Well, that says that's a big message. For other Democrats going at the 2022. Over if he goes up in the winds, but wins by just a little bit. It's still not particularly good news. For Democrats. In a state that is overwhelmingly Democrat. To have You know, I have talk shows, you know. Imagine Sean Casey, running against Peter Franchot. I mean, hello, Sean. I love his work. But in this state The odds would be with Peter Franchot. I mean, they just would.

"All right. We're talking a little bit of politics here. We talked about the national, uh, system, the narrative and I think it's all positive. I think it's all good. And, uh, we're here talking about the state and the state situation. We just talked about the Democrats. And, uh, as I said, a very peculiar nine candidates. Including Tom Perez, who was the leader of the National Democratic Party. And you know he has access to a lot of money. Now, let me tell you how radical Tom Perez is. He is really big with La Rossa. And Casa in Maryland. All of these radical left Illegal immigrant groups. In fact, he was invited. I think he was invited. I'm not sure it might have been somebody else. But he was invited by Hugo Chavez when he was elected president, the socialist and, uh Venezuela. I think Mr Perez was invited on the stage. I'm not sure I think it was him. Sell radical left he is And of course we have. Peter Franchot. Uh, Peter Franchot is very popular. Among Republicans, who, for some reason are misguided and believe he is a conservative. Well, he's pretty good as the Controller of the state and the watchdog on the money, But he is very he's as liberal as Bernie Sanders. So to you Republicans out there who think Peter Franchot is a conservative. He definitely is not. But that really doesn't matter because you see, even though Peter may be popular with the Republicans because he has created This image of being a conservative. He's not popular with the Democrat primary voters. He's got a problem. He's you know, more popular with the Republicans. And he is with the Democrats. So Peter has a problem and he has a bigger problem once again because Doug Gansler I don't know if you remember that name or not, but Doug Gansler is the former attorney general of the state of Maryland. And Doug Gansler was, uh, a candidate for governor last time, very credential person who can raise some money. Gansler got into some trouble with the sun paper smearing him on some silly issues. To be honest with you. And he would have been a stronger candidate. But the problem with Peter Franchot has is that Doug Gansler is a clone of Peter France show and they both live in the same neighborhood. That's a problem right? Because you have people taking votes away that you would normally received so As I said before that mystery woman And please remember that I predicted this. There is a mystery woman waiting on the sidelines to step out from behind the curtain and enter that Democrat race And when that happens If she has some credentials, and she can raise some money. I predict she can win with 30% of the vote. And that would not be good, regardless of the fact that she probably radical and a lefty diva, Uh, that would not be good for the Republicans now on the Republican side. We have Kelly Schultz, very nice person who is the secretary of Commerce, But she is a Larry Hogan candidate. Governor Hogan has put her in the race. And he is financing her and I don't know. I mean, a lot of people may like the governor, but 90% of the Republicans in Maryland voted for Donald Trump. This is a trump Republican state. Course It's not a trump Democrats state, but it is a trump Republican state, so I'm not too sure that Kelly Kelly will have a very hard time distinguishing herself. Creating the dynamic that she's Kelly Schultz, and she's not Larry Hogan when she's receiving all this Larry Hogan money so I think she would have a tough time Robin Ficker. Robin is a fascinating guy. I served with him in the Legislature. He's an attorney. He's from Montgomery County. Robin has a little bit of money, but it has a lot of energy and Robin is all over the state. He's running all over the state. I can't go anywhere. Without seeing him. I even go to my family events, and he's there. I don't know why he's there, but he's everywhere. And, uh, he's a fascinating guy He has run for office 100 Times. I think he ran for president of the Philippines one time at almost one, by the way, But Robin is a great guy, But at this point in time, I would say Robin Is somewhat of an outlier, but he's everywhere. Uh, the guy that I believe can win this whole thing we had on our program this week. I'm pretty sure it was this week. Stan Cox. Dan Cox is an attorney and a state legislator from Frederick County. He is a big trump supporter. He was a lawyer for Trump and Maryland on some issues. And he's a family man. He has nine Children. Now I think we should elect him Governor just for the fact that he has nine Children. These Children have to eat. This man needs a job. He should be elected governor. On that. But anyway, Dan Cox, I believe will win the primary. I think he will be raising some money. There's a lot of conservatives. Uh Like I said 90% of the voters. Republicans in Maryland voted for Donald Trump, now in a primary. So you think they're going to vote for Kelly Schultz was a hogan person, or do you think they're going to vote for Dan Cox, who.

The Karl Rove on noted that Weaver had made a pass a young man at a state Republican function in Texas. Weaver would not reply to what the Atlantic called a smear. But those close to him told the Atlantic that their outrage at this an old lie well, it wasn't a lie. The swamp media covered it, then coded for the next couple of decades on now, finally, that it's no longer useful to have him out there attacking Trump finally. The truth is being told. Imagine if you were one of these young men that Weaver made a pass at you trying to say Hey, hello. This guy is not He's not a good guy, and I was 14. He made a pass at me.
