"That is the follow. Follow up to that story is the. Irs is going after propublica. Not changing their code to Do something about the fact that it's wildly unfair but did you. Did you see any of the responses from some of those billionaires and they're like Care to comment on it now. Do they just like. Oh my god. That's law carl icahn or whatever i can i c. h. n. response was quote. There's a reason it's called income tax. The reason is if you're a poor person a rich person if you're apple you have if you have no income you don't pay taxes. Ha a rich person should pay taxes no matter what i don't think i don't think he's germane asked me that question. Yeah oh yeah thousand the article. That was in the article. Yeah that was the one in the article. Is that a faucet responded and like a couple people responded through spokespeople usually read it was. It was essentially that like well. That's the rules. Sorry it's like yeah you make. The rules lackluster rules. Panting billionaires yes thank you let's do it. What is something you think is under joel. I get the country as is my role. That was do it all right and that means that you have to ignore the story from earlier in the week where we talked about why. It's all sorts of fucked up and fucked up but it can also underrated nothing. I mean like implicit in the exorcist. Which is one of our finest horror movies of all time is like the catholic ideology that is very conservative and fucked up. But it's still a good time at the movies. I spend the majority of the francis farmer story that we all know was totally made up. Blew my absolute mind. That was like what out of guys name francis. Farmers in the twenties and thirties nirvana is really into her. They wrote a song about her. Her best francis being named francis being. I wouldn't surprise me courtney. Love was really into her to and people thought that she was like she was a big big celebrity in shiny girl and then you know but she was also an alcoholic and belligerent and an atheist and thirties so people had some issues and she died. Her friend owed all of this money for like that. She never really got down to writing so they just made up a story about how she was lobotomize when she was an institution which no one can prove that she was. Actually the bottom is the movie came out about her. We're just the length plate her in the eighties and that scene became like the most iconic like ice pick through. I- lobotomy like drooling. They said that she was abused by the staff. There's no proof of any of that. She never said it's not been written down anywhere. Her parents not her out after. Like i wanna see five or six years inside like the story is sad. Tragic for many reasons but not any other reason for that we know it for and yeah yeah. Be careful when you're watching a movie Most of the time not history most time just trying to tell you an interesting story right. They just took somebody else's true story though because that's constantly in the early twenties. It's interesting reading this article on the track. Called frances farmer will have her revenge on seattle Very clear But it also says they said the nirvana biographer. Michael azure add referred to farmer as quote the patron martyr of cobain..

"Um if you plan on staying in your house, like, five more years or something, do it. What is it a five minute call. I cannot emphasize it enough. How much money you could possibly save his interest rates historically low, They won't be there for long. And you could save yourself some money. Lock it in. As they say, Tom, you've been in the same house for how long since 1984. Holy come, Moly! Wow, that's a long time. Pretty little home. Raised two daughters there. That's right when they left the devil's in the house feel really weird. Not at all that we live in a small house. So maybe maybe that helped, But no, I I was nothing. This is Germaine to anything but an empty nest. Parent is Ah happy Parent. For my sake. I love my kids if both of them want to move back in To this house with me. I'd be thrilled, but I had no problem. I loved it when they weren't here. Okay? The reason I ask you this remain to the fact that I did little bit of research on this next topic, which is bringing back its from the Atlantic. The idea of having a nervous breakdown. Now he's nervous breakdowns all the time, and one of them is occurs with major life changes in people's lives, where the normal routine is interrupted, and in some cases when they have time to be more reflective. They begin to sort of Um sort of spin in their own thoughts in their own stress, And one of them is at that point when the kids move out, and there's faced with Who are we as a couple, and who am I as an individual when I'm no longer the role of the father or the mother? But to the bigger picture that interesting piece for the Atlantic, saying that it was a time people talk about nervous breakdowns, right? Oh, he had a nervous breakdown or is the Rolling Stones talked about here comes to 19th nervous breakdown that mentally in society. We understood that people would get to a breaking point and then would need to just sort of Disappear for a little while. I looked up Frances Farmer University of Washington undergrad in theater, and then she became famous. She was bipolar or schizophrenic. That's a different sort of story, right? This is not somebody that is dealing with. Diagnosed bipolar schizophrenia. This is different. This is just a snapping point where too much pressure is on the individual. And they just need to quote unquote Go away for a while. This Atlantic article really gives you a history. I had no idea. The history universe than phrase nervous background was invented in the 1902 and was popular. Through the through, you know, into the fifties post World war. Two time it was popular and it was just seen is a way to acknowledge. In fact, they cited a number of like editorials and magazine articles about how this country has gotten so crazy. So this during the roaring twenties and then even more so during the Depression up until World War two that society was just getting too fast to be able to comprehend. Imagine what they would deal with in the 21st century like, but the argument Said was, you know, Sometimes we just get so worked up. In fact, the guy who wrote the book on the Protestant work ethic, the guy named next Veber. He ended up having a nervous breakdown because he was working too much, even though he's talking about the glory of work and what they would do it with Societally accepted again. This is all very class conscious that you had had the money to be able to do this, but to take a six month break, Get your head back in, you know, in sort of Working order and then return and you do your best work, and it wasn't scorned at or look down on because it was not seen as it was seen of sociological. The problem was outside us. The world had changed so much that it's the world's fault, not our fault, then they say in the forties and fifties. We had this shift and sociology was replaced by psychology, and suddenly it wasn't the world's problems that we were dealing with. It was our individual problems now. This was good for certain people cause they said it aloud the medical profession that come up with diagnoses. Oh, yeah, You're bipolar or you're schizophrenic. You're this and the dangerous Or the strength of ending if it works, you know, they start giving you pills, But at that point, you couldn't just declare. I had a nervous breakdown. What you had to do is you had to get mental diagnosis before you could go to what they used to call sanatorium and are now called. You know what? I don't know what they're called. But the idea is, it's not just that you go away and, you know, take a lot of spring baths at some sanitorium. Instead, you have to be mentally diagnosed before you get treated in these treatment centers and the problem with that this Argument is is that that means if you are dealing with schizophrenia, or by bipolar or whatever, it's like that's a lifelong, you know, commitment, like it wasn't just Oh, I just I'm just too tired. I need a mental health break. You have a mental diagnosis, and then you're you're not going to get over at least very easily. And this guy's argument is the right now, especially with the world like the pandemic and unemployment. All these covert stuff. What? What? How we gonna cope? We should be able to declare I'm just having a nervous breakdown means that I'll be fine. It's not endemic to my psychological makeup. It's just Right now. I just need a break in or diode deal with this crazy crazy world. I definitely agree that it is class. It's the rich can afford to have a nervous breakdown. Report the poor Just drink more yourself. Yeah, and some of the symptoms of somebody is one You can't sleep. Your mind is always racing. Two. You are easily irritable. You don't get joy from the simple things.

"Always fun to be with Anthony so Marco I'm fortunate you folks you know you you get to listen to him which is excellent but I get to like hang around with I'm very fortunate best thing about this job is the people you meet and talk to let's see first I get I guess first let me see us remind you that yesterday's guest was great he was super young guys a graduate student at Tufts who was an expert in bees and if you don't know about bees that might see not a big deal but after listening to him you realize that's a huge deal I became a boat I'm not a big a B. fanatic and maybe you can be a be fanatic too if you listen to the podcast the J. talking broadcast just Google J. talking give it the I I heart app or wherever you get your podcasts if you've never listen to a podcast don't be afraid you don't need a pod all it means is on demand that's just an award for on demand because basically TV like Netflix that's a that's a video cast is the equivalent of that you just get it whenever you want I know what we do is we have our best guests that's what we do it's you always get a guest on an interesting topic is three or bees or cars or legal stuff we don't generally talk politics with actually reads it we never talk politics anymore next heck I might as well talk to left in Woburn good men lefty for stepping up and being first has gone a lefty hi Brad how you doing very good excellent fact yeah like I told your you I had that death castle but I'm doing very good I get turned around by it I loved you guess but he never mentioned Tom putting a mince pie that's right I love that you know I don't even know if I'm putting it is what is floating it's it's kind of a it's kind of a I don't know how to explain it is a hot sauce and lemon sauce goes what it is made with that sought me out of this bed with clubs is it's kind of like a a gingerbread kind of thing you know all right but ms pile right mince pies lot of meat as well that media that you know I mean so you have me like I when I grow we had mince meat turnovers my mother would make mince yeah yeah okay they didn't make a minor it wasn't it was no meat in it they were made out of tomatoes I think green tomatoes or something or whatever but you buy a gyro meat miss me I know that much of the legacy I don't really know but maybe I'm wrong okay I'm going because they completely forgot about them the mince meat turn yes the okay with me and one year I went to rich caught with my daughter and I really was impressed with the meal that was out sliced Turkey like a deli sliced Turkey on I see that but it was very explosive reels right yes it right on the there's a street the people walked me right in the window yep right in a window and a but in the salad was very very organic I I didn't work I say baby was made but I just wasn't really impressed but it we we got there really we don't even have a reservation tennis rules we got there really really but after that you had to have a reservation you know I mean it was big all these people and coach and stuff the army yeah so where does his daughter live now Lynn feel the fact that I was gonna go Gee I would have to say it's a she's got a beautiful house and Lynn feel and my other daughter lives bill Recca and like I said I could have I got two good son in laws to Rembrandt even have beds otherwise you're all take care you pretty good only take care of me very very good I'll say that but I guess I I deal a legal support your I mean but like I said I had to she does all my shop on and I just say I'm a I'm not doing as much Walken's I was go on but I'm doing pretty good I say that so what is your favorite side dish on for thanksgiving I will call upon tailored suit my my my god dot daughter makes this con was quiet like a well I don't know how you'd create like Scott tomatoes call it but it was called conduct excellent it's got a like a base to it I don't I don't really know how to explain it but it's very good that sounds great I get when I get to run something by now I'm not homophobic all their Bradley but I think that gag from media no that south bend Indiana I like his style but I guess he's all he's a homosexual you I mean which is what we won't or whatever and you don't want me yes probably peak booted judge what we try not to talk about politics but but thanks for all solved I'm sorry grass okay yep he is gay no question okay but I I'll even magic that job basic from my life I won't talk about politics that's about all I got to tell you all right okay Brad she had a kid goodbye so I don't know if you remember lefty I think it's important for everybody and no other details and nuances of everybody that they share because it makes it more interesting instead of just being some voice named caller it's good for you to know the people make the community better and lefty again he's a great guy as he is it just won't quit and he's is severe enough issues so that he had over eighty shock treatments I like to shock therapy treatments eighty and this is back before they did it the way they do now they they did it when it was hard core Frances farmer style he's full as cheerful today's ease recently had some serious medical issues and is that B. is bi polar and if I'm correct I believe so I guess you generally calls when he's on the upside of bi polar you never hear in comp complaint and he'll tell you what's going on but you never hear a complaint and there you go he's not a whiner at all so I'm glad to have you aboard lefty yeah I don't even remember it your real name now we we named you lefty so I would remember who you were because it was a common name I bobber bill or something so that's left to check in and that's great let's see what else couple things to address from yesterday I always like to Mull things over he we had a a go around with Gary in Woburn there is also an instant Justin cat he is obviously from Woburn and he has an interesting history an interesting things about him he doesn't vote proudly does not vote he probably is well we used to spit on the sidewalk because he thought this man asked him to not do that I don't know if he still does it he is that he doesn't like animals much and he does karaoke very well is it good good good singer and then about a month ago no but the good couple weeks ago he by set out and sang dirty deeds done dirt cheap a verse and a little bit of the chorus dirty deeds and their done dirt cheap and he really had that essence of AC DC really nailed which is hard when it's acapella because you don't have that music to help you identify who are board is as a lefty you are obviously the only person allowed to sing on the radio because it's so hard and when people do in one if it's not good it's a turn off and he was really good so I said okay and then last night he called up all ready to do it again and we talked about other stuff but then he's gonna do the song that he he wanted to do and he asked me well first I guess that there is two three to choose from so many what you want me to do it was one heavy metal song I can't remember do you remember what it was you you are here now who is a Quiet Riot a song by quite right I thank I have to finish the story after the break but it'll be good it's a good story kind of guarantee that it's WBZ recognize.
