"We'd be saying he'd un belong in that group. It's just the way it is, folks. Come on, but we're put aside your cat doesn't belong in that group, anyway. I know, but it doesn't belong and I grew. But if I'm giving you that same argument, I'll Carl Anthony towns right here in Denver. Do you think anybody's coming at me on the text line? No. Saying, Evans, you're so soft, dumb argument. No, you'd be like, you're here. Right. No, I get that. You're right. Steve mcnair Fran tarkington. No one has ever had better arm talent than Dan Marino, Dan Marino was just a witch. He was putting up numbers. In a time when, 'cause every, is it just me or is every passing accomplishment today deserve an asterisk? Is

"Hutchinson to you 45 morons that vote. Okay? Here we go. The poison pill. Done. Explain that. He was so good in Seattle that Minnesota created a contract with a poison pill that Seattle couldn't match. The offer because he was so dominant in his position. A tactic was created so they could get him on their team. It's the dumbest well, there's no stat for offensive linemen. I don't know, maybe watch. Maybe try to understand the game. As opposed to, well, give me a metric. Same thing of people, people go up in those meetings and argue against guys. Yeah. Why do you think Randy Grady sharks in it? There's a couple of people in that voting that don't like for whatever reason. They said, well, his tackle statistics were fabricated by whoever the statistician was. Dude, regardless of what his tackles were when he played on one of the great defenses of all time, there were two guys the middle linebacker position that were considered the creme de la creme. Lambert, he's in and graduate. He's not. And you know, there are people that are adamant that he doesn't get in and they just lobby against him and lobby against him and it's silly. But let me play devil's advocate here. Okay. Did the voters did the voters give Nikola Jokić, is this a good thing for Nicole? Let me explain why. Would a Nikola Jokić 23 straight MVPs, but not having a title. Did the voters save Nikola Jokić from decades of embarrassment? Because if he won a third straight MVP, but did not win a title, then for years to come whenever a player had a chance to go for a third straight MVP, you know what would come up. Hey, there have only been four players in NBA history to win three straight MVPs. They are. Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, and Nikola Jokić. And people are gonna be like, huh? How'd he get in there? Right. He never won a title. I don't ever recall seeing him win a championship. How did he get in there? Yeah. And did this voting actually assuming they don't win a title that this sort of saved Nikola Jokić from some embarrassment. I mean, for a guy who doesn't really care about winning MVPs, never mind three in a row, he doesn't deserve any kind of embarrassment to be that guy, the one who doesn't belong. So did they kind of do him a solid, almost. By not voting for him. Well, you wouldn't have to answer that. He wouldn't have to answer that question, but that comes down to like, hey man, should Dan Marino be embarrassed about Dan Marino's career of never winning a championship. I don't know. To me, it's not about one dude. To me, it's about great teams. The char Barker is going to come on. He's never won a championship. Can he be embarrassed? Or are we saving him? Charles Barkley was a freaking phenom. And he was great. Yeah, but if Charles Barkley wasn't doing TV, nobody would be remembering Charles Barkley. They remember the ground mound of rebound. Would they? Would they? He was Mark if he wasn't doing TV would people think of Charles Barkley as a great player. Do people remember Dan Marino's a great player? He's not doing TV. He's forgotten a lot more than you think. Just get together with anybody this weekend, do a little random test. All you're listening just kind of bring up if you're at some Cinco de Mayo party or Kentucky Derby party just say, hey, who do you think are the top 5 greatest quarterbacks of all time? Have you met you? I bet you 8 out of ten people who you asked the question to name their top 5. I bet you 8 out of ten don't include Dan Marino and you're asking a bunch of millennials. They're prisoners of the moment. They don't know anything about. I don't know. Ask a 40 something or 50 something. Who else who else is a great quarterback that's never won? That never won a championship. Philip Rivers? Philip Rivers, Jim Kelly. Who are some of the other ones. I mean, again, I'm a football fan, so I'm always going to remember, but does championship cement your legacy absolutely. But don't apologize for being being great. It would never be an issue here. Right. Okay. And for I get for most basketball fans. They'd say hey look, you do not hold Nikola Jokić, not waiting a title against him. This guy what he did over three year span was legit. But you know how it you know how these things work? And it's heck, it's like when we're doing Nikola Jokić winning back to back MVPs. And we started talking about I think it's like the 13 players that have won back to back MVPs. We started going through the list. And you get to like Steve Nash, and there is that quick moment where you're like, huh? Yeah. Steve ash. He never won a championship. Steven asks, how does Steve Nash get in there? Right. And I just don't want to see Nikola have to because it's going to be so much more magnified by winning three. Yeah. Third text line is great. Yeah, the great court warned moon comes up, Fran tarkington, never in the championship. Tim Tebow. Yeah, but if they just stay with him, he would have won multiple super bowls, yeah. I read the manifesto. Yes, just as D mag. I read the manifesto. Is it just me or are you guys forgetting that if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best, bring on the warriors. Joel in California. No. I've never subscribed. I know people always say that. We want the best. I want their guys injured. Sick. Well, yeah, just path the least resistance. Yeah, bring on bring on the injured. Bring out your dad. Bring out your dead. I'm getting a lot of Mike. That's the dumbest argument ever. God, Evans is so soft. All right, let me let's play a different game now. Let's take, let's take somebody who's, I don't know, arrival of the nuggets. I don't give me a team, give me a player, let's say, let's say, let's say Carl Anthony towns, okay? Won three straight MVPs. To join that group. But never won a championship. What would we hear in nuggets country be saying about Carl Anthony towns? They couldn't win a championship. We'd be dogging him. Right. It's like Karl Malone. Karl Malone is one of the NBA great players, okay? How about Clyde drexler, okay? Anybody who has never won one with Portland, but did he win one? Just leave with you. Yeah. But that's my point. You're coming at it from the nuggets fan, which I get. I'm trying to ask you to step away and look at this from that 38,000 foot view. And let's put the shoe on literally another player. And if that player, if Carl Anthony towns won three straight MVPs to join Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain and Larry Bird and cat didn't have a title,

"Another hour to go and we are happy to welcome all of you back. It's been a very news filled show with a lot of great guests. Let's check out some more calls here and doctor a is up next. What's up, Doc? Hey, Paul. Tom Landry revolutionized pro football back in 1969 when he put Roger Staubach in a quarterback and guess what he used, the shotgun. The shotgun has nothing to do with the height of the player. In fact, Rajasthan was 5 11. Frank, Fran, tarkington was 5 11. So it's the ability to move and they're saying Bryce young is too short at 5 ten. Well, I'm sorry. He's more like 5 11. He can move. He can run. And that's what it's all about today. The ability to move and the ability to throw on the run. That's Doc, you're right. You're a 100% correct. I don't understand why Bryce has been maligned so much because of that because this is not your father's or grandfather's NFL. Exactly. And look at Staubach, being 5 11 and came out of the naval academy. He was four years in the service then he come back. And Landry put him at quarterback and the shotgun. It's totally revolutionized college football pro football and everything else where Michael Vick, all the they're all under 6 foot. Half the quarterbacks in the NFL are under 6 foot because they have the ability to move and throw on the run. What's that? Hey, thank you very much, Doc. I appreciate the call. Let's check out gas up next. Gaz, what's up? Hey, Paul, what's going on? You got a variety of collars today. I'm about low in this World War three thing and then doctor Iceland over half the quarterbacks and under 5, 11. I doubt that, but I will say this Richardson had getting so much prayers for maybe being a top top 5 pick top ten pick and Lev is pleased far as that goes. I've been watching football for 60 years and I'm no expert of coercion. I don't coach guys or anything, but comments can't tell me when I watch these guys that they are mistake prone. They make a lot of they had decisions. So what they got great arms, they got ability, mobility, they move around in the pocket, but they make a lot of mistakes. And the NFL is going to be faster. I mean, what's convincing these guys that they need to be that high brash young to me is the top of the heap and then it's a toss up between end and hooker and straight out, I think. Well, said thank you very much and you are correct. Ruthie is up next in Indianapolis. Hey, ruthie. Ruthie, you there? Nope. Jamie is up next. Hello, Jamie. Go ahead. Hey, Paul. I was just calling a couple calls ago. The guy was talking about Roger Staubach and everything like that. Yes, he's a great quarterback and history knows Roger Staubach, but the game has changed so much since then, so it's a totally different. And by the way, I hate to burst our Friends bubble about Roger Staubach. We just did a very quick search on Roger Staubach. He was 6 three. Yeah, and that's what I was thinking also, but like, you know, I'm an Alabama fan also, and brass to succeed. But comparing brass young to Roger Staubach. I mean, that's idiotic at this, and not been in. Yeah, and by the way, I mean, Rogers tell back hasn't played in 40 5 or 50 years, but I do remember as a kid thinking he was a pretty tall guy. Yeah. But listen, everybody has everybody's entitled to their own opinions. They're not entitled to their own facts, though. I totally agree. And thank you for taking my call and I hope you have a good rest of your week and a good weekend. Thank you very much. Let's start the weekend right now. Let's go to Iron Man first. I'm in, you're on the air. Starting the weekend. I'm going to be honest with you. I don't lay awake at night. The best quarterbacks in the NFL are and you know, I don't care when they're drafted, I don't care where they go. I watch the college game, and when the guys leave my team and move into the pros, I just wish them well. And occasionally I might see highlights or low lights or whatever the name is mentioned. But are you really concerned with the height of a quarterback and the quickness of the you got to be fast? You got to think, well quick. Did you lay awake? No, I don't. But there's a lot of people that do. And then they've got opinions on why they've got to be real fast and real quick. This guy won't do. He just won't. And you said it best. You said Tim Tebow was the most fascinating quarterback you ever saw in the college in the college game. And it did not translate. Now, how many times do we look out there and some of these players on teams that we talk about, they suck at their position? But they get to the NFL and before you know it, they're all products. Jalen hurts. The biggest contract ever, and he didn't start for his team. And he didn't suck, but he was a good player, but you know, it just depends on where you land and with the circumstances. And if they're building a team if they've got a team or ever have that works out. But I just, I'm telling you, I'm not going to use my thinking cap. Way back there. I'm not going to use my finger tap wondering what the hell Roger Staubach did and Tom Landry did because they were running the damn wishbone.

"Don't really Well, it's Ah Memorial Day weekend. It's good to be good to be here. You know, I was really fired up last week, and I was gonna call in your show. But I didn't wanna Aziz. Mad as I was. I was like, you know, I'm not gonna put Matt on the spot and have him say, Hang on. I think Kurt's cell phone just got disconnected with me. But I love that. I wouldn't do that to you. But I would No matter was amazing How many people or bash me now that I wanted to Shawna from the Texans going? Yeah. How that worked out for you, like you know what? I'm still not a Dak Prescott Faneuil, not I think he's gonna be possibly another Tony Rome. Oh, It has all these great numbers and never gets the dance like Dan Marino like Fran Tarkington. None of that Super Bowl rings friend got to the dance. He just didn't have the supporting cast when he got kind of like Jim Kelly five times. No ring Dan Marino all the workers in the world but no ring, but they were good quarterbacks. Did you see where Smith bought Romo's number and what it costs? Matt? It was six figures. I believe holy cow! I didn't know that. Not only does he buy the number, he had to buy up all the jerseys. Everything that was out there in the sports world. That was unsold. He had to buy it. Yeah, and I'm one of them people that has the nice 54 jersey from Two years ago, so I'm not happy about it. I wasn't happy to see the news was just put it that way. I hear you why we're live here. Highly accurate Fort Worth here at 8 20, Riverside. Stop out here and see if they're gonna be rock. Really? You look around and there's good inventory from the A speck TLX to the big bad boy, The MDX A spec Which friend of mine just bought and brought over the house last night to show me And man, They're the windows down the sunroof open and they had the tunes of rock and You know what I put on their dash form disco disco ball. I knew it had something to disco. I put it on and I turned it on, and they just went nuts, You know. Everybody has that recessive gene somewhere. That's right. So we'll have the phone lines over. If there's a topic that we get to covering 214787 11 nineties, the number that's 214787 11 90. We want to thank David Gomez, general manager in the folks here at highly actor for having us out, and, uh Stop out here and see him. If anything, just come out test driving, check out all the products that they have available to you. The consumer They've got good inventory. I obviously everybody I'd like to have a lot more, but they've got good inventory on the profit on the lot knew and pre owned. 14787 11 90. There's a lot of interesting things that I'm going to cover today. And I know that Darrin's going to chime in on a couple of because a couple of little bit political that I don't understand that actually are a big part of what's going to go on. In the future of the auto industry and for me Sometimes that just makes me scratch my head when I sit there, and I see 175 billion and half a trillion and 34 billion, nothing in the Million's. Now we're, but that's Jillian's chump change. And I saw that the dead try Now. 20 almost 29 Trillion just shot 29 Trillion. That's with a t not going. Wow. And so here they are coming out with between everything they're looking to do between now and next year, almost $5 trillion $5 trillion trillion with A T, which would put the dead to $34 trillion, But card it's all paid for. It's all paid for her has paid for his painful remember when everybody used to say gold back the dollar. Yeah, that went out in the seventies. You know what was really important Ox. Was it empty? Kind of, like, Where's Jimmy Hoffa buried? You know Fort Knox? Actually, I mean, I've seen interviews with people that have worked there. There's real gold there. But it ain't enough to back this. This boondoggle. You know, When you send everybody back to California started digging up some ground. I will talk. I'll tell you the reason that the debt and don't hit me when I say this is all in all honesty, not is relevance. We think it is. Is because there are certain people that trade these bonds. And the global finance. That make this all work? Yeah, and I mean, they take it. They take it to help people make money, So I mean, it's it's all relative. And the truth of the matter is that the Fed wanted to think they could wipe it off The ledger tomorrow. The thing that bothers me. Is right now about 6 to 8 of that. Needs to come to us from China. We don't need to pay China another dime. And they need to write us a check for six between six and eight trillion and that's it. Yeah, we're gonna be talking about that. Because what the Biden administration is saying they need to do and everything. Everything. Every word. I underlined it. I marked it off. His exact quotes are has something to do with China. Come on, man. I'm like, Are you I mean everything but he's owned by him and the only and the only way to even get near them or play in the arena was his words. Was this going to take a trillion dollars? For to support technology. Um agree freaking nuts? No, no, no. I don't know how many. How many. People have China shot in the space. On. I could go on and on and come up with a bunch of stuff that there were any part of the vaccine. They weren't not slave labor. You know, I mean, that's here's the thing. Raised the tariffs back to where every domestically produced product is on par with price. Get our manufacturing And then let the chips fall where they may. That's just it's that simple. It's just that simple. That's why I mean people will terrorists is his protectionism. Yeah, that's exactly right. And I'm interested in protecting US technology. I'm interested in protecting United States jobs. I don't really give a rat's rip about the rest of world because you know what if we just produce what we make? I'm okay with that. But you know, there's enough people out there. They're gonna want us to export what we do, but, you know, Hey, when you're when you're sitting there with slave labor and all these people, our countdown to it. I'm sorry. You know if if if we were doing what China's doing from a labor standpoint. We would have civil unrest in the street. There would be blood in the streets akin to what we had in the twenties and thirties. When unionization came on. There was a reason it came on because you were running sweatshops. Yep, no doubt about it. When you take a look at everything that's going on, right? I'm gonna while didn't GDP. I mean, a lot of people don't know what GDP means when the GDP grows. We don't need to be barn all this money against nothing. No, let the GDP take care of everything needs to be taken care of. Well, here's what they're going to. They're going to start talking about. They're gonna start talking about well, really? We're borrowing it last because these were inflated dollars. And what we're paying back is gonna be less And there's a degree of truth to that. But at the end of the day, we got to stop this. Yes, they're playing. Russian roulette with the money. We've got money coming in, Get the manufacturing..

"But we're gonna We're gonna go back a little bit. In the throat backs. Let me throw back Saturday. My name is Pakistan. My form of radio name's Carmine. He stuck sports with the Super Bowl upon us, and with everything that's gone on in the world. I really don't want to talk about politics or what's going on. I want to talk about the Super Bowl. And you know, there's just so much just this game brings to mind. You know, maybe the clothes the changing of guard we have the We have to go and Tom Brady and you have Pat Mahomes. Patrick is just a hell of a quarterback. But what's interesting is I Listen all week long. How Patrick Mahoney's loses this game. He could never be the greatest quarterback of all time. And I'm like you guys. You guys really that daft I mean, when you look back over the years, there was a guy named Dan Marino in a second season broke every passing record known to man. They were calling him the second coming and he was going to be a dominant force in the NFL. He went to the Super Bowl that season. It got destroyed by Joe Montana, 38 to 16. But everybody thought Miami would be back and they never got there again. And when you look at the accomplishments of this young man in three years as a starting quarterback, regardless of the winds tomorrow, well, it does not stamp his career. When you think about this, he has more wins. Then Jim Kelly has been there four times whose own for Fran Tarkington is owing three. Okay. Aaron Rodgers and Brett Farve each have one Super Bowl. This is he's got a shot going after number two in the back to back Chiefs had men disturb role in 50 years and they got their last year and damn near made it. This coulda been three in a row Had not for Tom Brady taking the Patriots to Kansas City, upsetting the chief that year in overtime. They want what they want to kick off, and they went right down the field that won the game like they did two years earlier in the Super against Atlanta, But the bottom line is this When you look at this matchup The reality is it's not Brady against my homes. It's the Kansas City Chiefs because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and you gotta look at this game from a whole different Platform. It's not those two players were gonna make the difference and Brady's case what he what he has left behind or what he's lost in his mind and his mind. Homes may never learn. Brady has several distinctions going into this game number one. He will be The first quarterback to play in 10 Super Bowls that's never been done before. It may never be done again in our lifetimes. Number two. He's the winning a Super Bowl quarterback in NFL history with six Now that could be broken, But maybe it'll take some years. If he loses tomorrow, he has the distinction of being the Super Bowl champion in losses as well. He could tie Jim Kelly with four defeats in the Super Bowl. Right now he's tied with Fran Tarkington with three Now they call him the goat. But his fault He's 46 3 hasn't won. Every game has been too Mahomes wins, I'll be tuning on the Super Bowl. Is that making the greatest know the interesting thing about these dynasties that we see and how they built? Their built is every dynasty has great players, And it's not just the quarterback you had Joe Cool with the 40 Niners. I still think is the greatest quarterback I have ever seen. Period from Uncle here in Pennsylvania. He was the greatest period and if the game was played the way this today when he played, he might have one more. Jerry Rice says he would probably put it in the 500 passes Montana. What took a lot of Beaton's yet he got it done. He was flawless and Super Bowls for no. Bradshaw Foreign All was he is good. A quarterback is Joe Montana. No. Steelers had a great defense, but they also had great weapons. Franco Harris, Rocky Bleier, when Swan John Stallworth They were amazing football teams every dynasty, the Green Bay Packers of the sixties, the first team that went to Super Bowls in a row and who they beat Super Bowl. One Kansas City. When you look at that Packer team, it's hard to believe that that that many players off that particular team made the Hall of Fame that like one in 11 before they got taken over by Vince Lombardi. Great coaches involved here. Okay? Look at Kansas City now. Arians can't be called the great coach described head stretch. And Andy Reid has been knocking on the door for many years. This is a chance for him to get number two. He is constructing an incredible organization in Kansas City did didn't Philadelphia's well but he couldn't get over the top with Donovan McNabb, but this particular team Mahomes brings to the game. Such a flair, things that you don't ever see before You see the play quarterback in NFL is not physical. It's mental, and he has the mental skills to be successful. He can use his feet. Gigi has a cannon for an arm. And he does have to be in private improvisational. But when you look at Tom Brady Brady is a tailor made quarterback pocket passer. He's not very not very fluently runs. Great at the quarterback Sneak. That's about as far as he's going to run with the ball. But his passing is brilliant. And and his brain for the game is just amazing. So you're gonna see a 25 year old youngster who I believe is a genius against Ah 45 43 year old genius. Now I believe that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next year would have been the team to beat for the Super Bowl right now. I don't see it. Now, when you look at the first two games in the plastic, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers played The New Orleans Saints lost the game more than the Buccaneers won the game. Case in point. Drew Brees.

"Lost the Chiefs or Excuse me. The box lost to the Chiefs went on the buy, and they haven't lost since. We've actually seen Brady be a part of something like this before, but it's not going to be the defense that is going to win it for Tampa Town has got to go out and still score points. But I think as we get older, we gained perspective and for some people who didn't want to give Brady credit There's almost no way you can't give him credit, considering he went to another team. Let's grab Mike in Boston off line real quick. Mike, you're on the grass show on CBS Sports radio. How are you? Precious happening, man. We go way back and listen to you for a long time. Back in 95. You agreed job, but I heard you earlier. You said my missus something with mess, not the staff. And you said, Is he the guy who's gonna bring it brings you back in the fourth quarter? Is he the guy? It makes his teammates better. I'm gonna give you a step. It's really on. You can't argue with right. So Matthew Stafford in mind you in five fewer seasons that anyone I'm gonna mention ahead of him has More. Look what I come back. Them. That far. Joe Montana, Fran Tarkington. Warren Moon, Subs elect and And you are many Mai Tai, Tommy Mike, how many of those are in the playoffs? Let me just missed finished Everybody ahead of him on this list of the whole of Phantom 10 guys behind them. A hall of famous. This is clearly a Hall of Fame stat. He started with John Elway. Guys ahead of them Take many. Tom Brady Drew Brees then brought this burger joint United Dan Marino and he's tied with John Elway. Pretty impressive step. Yes, it's a great Mike. Mike. It's a great step, but it's completely hollow because every person you mentioned there had been to a Super Bowl. Every one of them. Like again. That's the whole stats for losers. I'm not saying you're a loser, Mike, But when you call up and you tell me, it's a whole of fame, stat. Well, guess what those guys had success. And they did it in playoffs as well. The only thing you did was find a stat. That drove home the fact that the Detroit Lions sucked Pretty bad while he was there, and that's why he had those comebacks. Those comebacks weren't the byproduct off being balls out in a super Bowl down 28 to 3 and coming back. It's because they're a bunch is I beg if you went into that, and in fact, I almost want to do this this week because I think that number is so flawed. Then who were the teams that Matt Stafford was doing this against? Like you mentioned about Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and John Elway and people like that. They weren't just doing it against the bad teams. They had comebacks in important moments. And one matched Aphrodite. You know, I'm gonna look this up. Just the Matt Stafford career, but I think a part of the reason that he has those comebacks is because he didn't play on a great team. And then they never went anywhere and did anything I can't look at that stat and think that it is exactly like those other people that you mentioned. That Stafford has had 1 11 win season. 1, 10 win season and 29 win seasons. And I'm looking at the fourth quarter comebacks right now. 31 4th quarter comebacks, according to pro football reference, right Eight of them came in the 2016 season, where they went nine and seven. Now, two years before they went 11 and five and in 2014, they had themselves a real nice year, and he had five that year. So he's got 31 comebacks and 38 game winning drives. And if you look at his performances in the postseason There were.

"He's an instantly able to reshape. His every movement to make the play work. I don't know that you could compare it anybody. Maybe it's gonna sound crazy Fran Tarkington. And it's going back there for Yeah. Yeah, sure. Sure, He was able to run around by time, but this is next level suburb. I already doesn't like to compare eras won't but, you know, targeted at the Hall of Fame career, but I just think I just think my Holmes's His extraordinary and here's the problem. Is he going to try to be Able to go to 10 Super Bowls or win six for 17. This conference is just the way it's just worked out. The FC has managed To take the talent pool and young quarterbacks. And take it all for themselves. It's just the way teams have drafted in recent years Now you've got over just like we had Rogers and Brady. We had breezed. Make it to the divisional round. You're talking 37 41 43. We had four quarterbacks over on the answer's side of divisional round that were what 25 younger and, you know, throwing in, Uh, Lamar Jackson into that baker Mayfield. We haven't talked about the Shawn Watson. Here. It gets The help that he needs or gets with a team that can play or my new favorite guys. Justin Herbert, down with Chargers. I got to meet him recently. He was up here, a double beach playing golf with some buddies and the connection was made, and I got to spend some time with him. You just kind of quietly up our way here. Is there going to be the rookie of the year? And set the record for most touchdowns passes that he's a awesome town. He really and you know, there are others in this two bit. Trevor Laurence is coming into the conference. It goes on and on and on. We're talking about all guys in their twenties, so to emerge from your conference. Is not going to be easy to do. It's absolutely true. I mean, look, Josh, Alan Paton, Lamar Mayfield to Sean Herbert Lawrence Mahoney s seven guys going for one ring. That's true. And you know, we're leaving guys, and we're leaving guys out job, Earl. Yeah. I mean, she showed me enough this year before he's going to be sensational. Yeah. You're gonna drown. Yeah. Wow. I mean, we don't know about to, you know, to a God in late in the year, one a lot of games. He doesn't while you with his arm strength, but he's this precise as they come. What about to, uh, Fifth pick in the draft last year, Same conference Now we're up to nine. Yeah, you know, bad. Yeah. And you could make the argument in the Brady had Manning to go against which was huge. And Peyton got him a couple of times..

"I mean, those guys were really, really good. You had one of the best quarterbacks. They have Rodney Harrison on that team. Yeah, I think they did best running back one of the best about the best linebacker escapes their two on that team. Or was he after I think it was after, but he may have been like a young pup. Maybe with that. You talk about their 14 and two team that lost that was You were incredible. That was this a stack team and they couldn't get it done. So that's one that, you know. I think you look back and you know that's one that you know people would point to Schottenheimer and people will point to rivers like you know, you got to get the idiot. Monday's things done, and that was That seemingly was the year where they were just rolling people on offensively, they could just they could run it. They could throw it. They could do whatever. And couldn't wait. Couldn't quite get it done. Still think is a Hall of Famer. But man the he had some opportunities there in San Diego and just couldn't quite get it down. It's so rivers is it because he's going into the Hall of Fame? He's in that category. My mind he's in there with Warren Moon. Fran Tarkington, two guys, two names that come to mind. Where they had great careers put up numbers. You can remember them and memorable situations. Um, but they didn't win a Super Bowl. I don't I don't put Dan Marino and that he's at the top of that category. But Dave Marino to me, it's just He's just a different type cat. He's almost like the one dude between those two categories. Exactly. Yeah, yeah, yeah, He's just he's the bridge. Just managed a sudden question. Dominant past few to see Dan Marino play just either YouTube id or ask your s your pops or your mom's. Shouldn't exclude the ladies because he was just on a whole different plane. But I think rivers fits comfortably in that group. Like I said, I just threw out two names that popped into my head. And talking to him and Warren Moon Obvious Hall of Fame talents. They didn't win championships and was through no fault of theirs. Quite frankly, I mean, he's fifth most passing yards ever fifth most passing touchdowns ever. An eight time pro bowler Incredible toughness and it wasn't like they didn't win games. They won games. I just won the big game. What we're just kind of that kind of a society, sometimes with the worst, very bottom line oriented. Seems like, you know. Um, people talk about, you know Eli Manning going becoming a Hall of Famer, and there's a lot of people. We talked recently about Jim Plunkett. I said that. You know if you're gonna put your eye Manning and there you got what about Jim Plunkett Plunkett one, too. Super Bowls and was the M V P So, uh, you know, but but Rivers had a better body of a career than Then those guys Yeah, He just didn't win the big game. How can I come to grips with that? No. One No one in their right mind would say Eli Manning's better than Dan Marino. Right? No. One. But he has two rings. Marino has none. And it's that fine line because I just started thinking about the guys that have one. And how our perception of them changes. We have one coming on at five o'clock. Steve Young 11 Superboy. He won more than one Super Bowl, but he was the captain of the ship for one Super Bowl. Drew Brees. One Super Bowl. Think about the narrative around him would have changed if they wouldn't have beaten the cold. Said that one year I mean this gate if you just win. One. And then Peyton, you know, Peyton gets, too and he's widely considered one of the greatest. I mean, I don't know Many MVP's a guy 13 or four MBPs. But really, he won one. And then Canada Piggy back to the other one. He was still it was okay that year, but he was a shell of his former self. I mean, that was a defense of dominant defense from the Broncos. Help when that Super Bowl but anyway and nobody cares anymore..
