"Yeah so alonzo. Hates this movie alonzo. Just giving it away here. I'm a little triggered by by Brands top of the show greeting like is that was that gave voice or no. That's just how i say. If what i didn't even i heard it. It sounded just like carnival barker that i feel like you over here. Having heard three having heard every episode of this show multiple times alonzo. I feel like i've enjoyed the show with that. Allow at least a dozen times from anybody else who would be questionable. But you know. i wanna just exuberance. I don't wanna break the magic for anyone listening. But he also voices a woman on this show. I want to be very clear about that. We are. I don't i don't know anytime we've cut all denisa stuff. Yes okay. man. Denise denise hasn't been in the show at all i made sure that tracy too much denise tells out how we're talking about the christmas setup today twenty twenty lifetimes it was like the bay. The big announcements last year was hallmark. We got the christmas house and lifetime said we see your christmas shopping. We'll actually give you a a real same sex couples story And so we're very excited about the the shame about the doing the show with the amount of movies at homework does i. Don't get around to the lifetime movies and so it's been fun to finally get through a few of the movies from twenty twenty like fleas navidad last week. I just yeah. That was the a lot of emails about me. Saying people should be shot and all of you are right. You're all right. i'm wrong there. We go that's fair. that's and i just. I just want to say you know there's the conversation we've had over the last few weeks. Mon- says hallmarks changed up kind of their the way that they're doing to movies. Some of them are happy and fun and wacky like the baker son. Some of them are very sad. Lacy should bears movie. And it's like do people really want that or do they want the same thing over and over again. I think the argument for the same thing over and over again is lifetime because lifetime christmas movies the the range of quality is still to me so much more glaring the hallmark bath. It's so much more glaring than hallmark. This felise both aired in twenty within within each other. That was the big show that was like having something right. Yeah well here's the thing is i would much prefer the giant waves and crashes of lifetime. It's more fun for me to watch then. Just have vanilla milkshake every week. You know what. I mean like to me. This is middle. This is the way to do it. This is the like like hat. And we'll we'll get through hot takes a little bit. I'm not saying this is my favorite movie. I've ever seen but the compare this with police. Nafi dag about about. Yeah so that is way more fun to me. If i get a snowed in christmas. I'll take five police. Nabi dad's any day. Yeah that's much better than you know. Twenty five christmas ornaments or whatever the that you know brennan pennies movies that they do so then. I'm on the line brennan. I'm sorry me nope okay. Now he's got as number and he just christmas jet ski keeps prank calling us. Frank hoeness. it's wild. I feel like i should know this. But are we doing magic magical. We've already seen on. C magin is yes. Thanks guess it's featured in the book check out. You probably need to read it just to. I need to read up on i. I always tell people man like i can. I brought up the name of home. We'd not seen as brandon. Panda are so memento ready to be like. Wow that's the target demo for hallmark. Can we be honest people that forget a month later now i want. I will say this that. I'm going to be surprised about what the book is. Once i read the synopsis always be like i remember that maybe nine times out of ten. There's a couple of movies that i don't recall ever seeing in the just the downtrodden and times of thanksgiving but overall i remember the movies. I couldn't tell you the titles of them to save my life because there's so many of them are just whatever but the thing that is going to be. The most surprising as i've gone through the pages is the hot takes i just. It's always surprise. It's always shocking to me. Surprising to see what. I said about a movie that i felt like i really liked this. Like this is not my favorite. And i'm like what that with literally spring move. Yes you you had or the winter movies you had the radi movie way higher and then we did the rankings. And you're like. I don't like that i liked it. I just brought it down a little bit too. Khadka be friendships. You gotta sit with them. Rene marinate with new year's eve got a really like getting their new year's resolution and monse nerves. He was in the theaters and not any better to be honest. It's christmas eve. What time about the christmas setup it originally aired on december twelve twenty twenty twenty one and a went a little something like this hugo which by the way fantastic name. There's not enough hugo's out there right. Just keep going. There's not a lot of movies agreed. Agreed hugo is dedicated lawyer by the way lawyers not and he hopes the land of partner position at his law firm. He gives an ultimatum to his boss isn't going to quit. If i don't get this. He walks out after his boss just stares at him. And that's not a good sign. Hugo shows up to meet up with his wife madeline. They seem to be either going or coming from ice skating because they're carrying around ice skates. But we don't see 'em do it so who can tell He invites madeline to come with him. Home for For christmas with him in home Hugo's mother is fran drescher and she is fully for andrew collier movie fran drescher immediately puts them to work and she has hugo. Stay home to wait for the christmas tree delivery. The christmas tree delivery guy has a hunk named patrick hugh hugo Sees at the window. He knows them he. "Show. The nanny is now on. Hbo max and has generations of fans anxiously waiting to see what is in the world for her. And what is going to be up to. And she celebrates twenty one years cancer free and still fighting for everyone impacted by. Please welcome back the incredible and most fabulous fran drescher. I think sunny has the first question fran way to thank you fran. Well we are thrilled. That broadway is scheduled to reopen september fourteenth. And a half since everyone had to shut down due to the pandemic. And you've used this time to work on your own broadway. Show a musical version of the nanny. What are you waiting for the show and did you consider. I'm wondering reprising. Fran fine yourself. Oh boy i really can sing. And this is going to be very heavy singing part. So we're gonna have to find basically the next barbara streisand. i think. And it's been wonderful for us to be able to have something creative to do during this. You know terribly challenging time of the pandemic and it's been very sad to see new york without the theater community which is really such a you know a pulse for the city and i'm very very thrilled that we're coming out the other side and that theater is going to come back. And we'll be almost ready to launch the nanny. Musical on broadway as well and peter and i are writing of the script the buck and rachel bloom is doing the music. And it's going to be really so fun and funny and great funny lyrics and a beautiful story. So we're very thrilled to have you know Something like that to look forward to share with the fans. Well we're happy for you. Fran and yes broadway roaring back very shortly and it's going to be better than ever and but you know let's let's talk about this. We're in the middle of pride month as you probably know. The nanny was really progressive for its time regarding the lgbtq plus community many ninety s sitcom storylines focused on gay characters. Out of the ordinary shocking. But the nanny did not it did not just sort of integrated gay characters as part of the storyline. Which was the way supposed to do it. I think and you created the show with your event husband. Peter mark jacobson. Who you're writing the script with for the broadway show. I am sam. Did you to write and produce. Seems like that in your sitcom on purpose. Did you do that intentionally. Yes i've always been someone that you know goes to the defense of any community that's marginalized and so in the nanny over the years that we were doing the show. I wanted you to integrate Gay storylines without making comments about the person's orientation bod really just a including them in the story. In a way that made sense we had a an episode with catherine knocks. Berg who i thought was getting involved with mr sheffield and he was very kind of falling for her and then it turns out that she was really interested in may and You know it. I just did a A christmas movie for lifetime. And we push the needle on that. Which is the reason why i wanted to do it. Because it didn't talk about the angst of coming out. It was just as normal as you know having blue eyes and i think that it's time that if you're in a to normalize it for the american viewer It's important that we start to do that. I also integrated a lot of people of color onto the show by i during an interracial couple with ray charles and grandma yeta who fell in love and then we built a family for rays of character and whoopi actually was one of his relatives and she was like photographer. Dumble was also offer his family but he played himself and i addition to be the weatherman. And coolio that audition. For mr sheffield's rapper xiao wei before hamilton and he was also a relative of gray and now a specific right because i felt like the show is too white and nobody was really doing that. Ninety s show also there weren't at the ratios are also an icon because twenty years cancer. Free and you're a huge inspiration. And he do so much incredible work with your cancer schmeltzer movement which is dedicated to helping people learn to become their own best advocates. Your event friend jammed as coming up and we will stream it. Live what you have planned for it so far. Thank you so much. We have great singers from cynthia or revoke and jackson. Browne and katharine mcphee foster and david foster and unbeliev-. Oh cindy lauper is an unbelievable roster people that have come on board to support cancer. Chemin serve because in our where all about prevention and bolstering your immune system and teach you how to be in control body. That's others day. The twentieth of june at six. It's always great to be back and joy up promised whoever did the casting they are out of there. You're in there goss right and and it was just announced today that you set set down for one on one with obama about all kinds of styles in an upcoming abc special honoring juneteenth. What what can you tell us that he had to say about the world. He very much talking about how we all need to come together. But how he was even encouraged because he saw all the different races and people come together. And after the death of george floyd at so many other than that was encouraging him but he called it a racial reckoning i guess you could say but he also noted that this is a very different protests from what we had not too long ago with civil rights and we talked about some of the civil rights protests. And the things that you we are allowed to do now as minority the african americans that you weren't allowed to do not so long ago. We all seem to think that there was a long time ago. Wasn't that long ago that we were fighting for for a lot of things that we kind of take for granted now so very candid very open and very good conversation with the former president yes. Progress is slow sometimes. Unfortunately so michael. This is the fifth season. You're hosting the hundred thousand dollar pyramid and i'm not trying to brag but the last time i was on the show and twenty eighteen which is quite a while ago. I helped a contest to win fifty. Jeez fifty thousand bid ones now. They did not invite me back this year. Was it something i said. Or don't they like a winner on the other hand. "To do that. Excellent sarah do you see the point. That mush was making. Yeah actually do see the point. She was making. I think the flag has been somewhat co opted mainly during this this former trump era kind of like the masks it became like a rallying cry of spotting people in a crowd but when i think of the flag i think of you know growing up and seeing all the the military displays of it as as megan mention when they put it over a casket that reverence and honor you feel for the ultimate sacrifice the fact that we lower and do to key leaders and important people that have left their mark here in this country and i love i love it. I love it on fourth of july. And i refused to let people take that away that power away because anyone who has a family knows where the most critical of the things we love the most so i often think that when people on the left or democrats are critical of it. Some people misinterpret that to mean that we must not be patriotic. And i believe that this flag can come back to what it always has been flying high. But i also think of the olympics and how proud you feel when someone wins and you hear the national anthem and so i do. I do understand what she was saying. 'cause i think it has become politicized but i also believe that we can gang that back as fast as it was taken away and let it fly high as a work in progress. All the work. How far we've come. How far we have to go. And that. We're all here and i agree. It's the best place on earth. I wouldn't be anywhere else. So i have a legal note. The new york times has stated that mara gays comments on msnbc have been irresponsibly taken out of context. Her argument was that trump in many of his supporters have politicized the american flag. The attacks on her. Ill informed and grounded in bad faith. And i just if i may add one thing i think that James baldwin said it best when he said that i love america more than any other country in the world and exactly for that reason. I insist on the right to criticize her. Perpetually well that's the. That's the point. I was going to make. Everybody has the right to their opinion. And this is marsha opinion and no one has the right to say. That's not right because you don't like it when we say. Hey don't criticize. Because i feel the flag is strong enough to take me kneeling and saying this is why kneeling i think. The flag is strong enough to take you saying well. I don't like how you think. That's the beauty of the flag. Everyone who is an american is represented by that flag. It doesn't belong to white people. Black people native american people. It belongs to all americans and if you're not an american you may not understand what we're talking about because that's the beauty. We don't have to agree. We can agree to disagree. We'll.

"Ahead. Red flag the backlash over claims that the stars and stripes have been politicized into a symbol of power and intimidation for white. Americans are the old glory days over or is this a liberal translation that doesn't fly still had gma co anchor and one hundred thousand dollar pyramid host. Michael stray plus brand drescher unwritten. She's about to give fans of the nanny something to sing about. Welcome back new. York times editorial editorial board member mara gays facing a backlash for recounting recent trip to the suburbs that put things into a scary perspective for her. Take a look. I was on long island this weekend. Visiting i'm really dear friend and i was really disturbed. I saw dozen and dozens of pickup trucks with you know. Split goes against joe biden on the back of them trump lags and some cases just dozens of american flags which is also just disturbing because essentially the message was clear was this is my country. This is not your country. I own this so for many the flag has been a symbol of freedom has taken another meaning sunny. Yes it has. And i'm so surprised. Actually that she is receiving this kind of backlash and as megan mentioned during the last segment. You know when someone of color a black woman is telling you her feelings. People need to listen and not repudiated and not say well. That can't be true because you have in many respects the former disgrace twice. Impeached one term president to bank for politicizing. The american flag remember that on january six just a few months ago. You had the capital rioters tearing down the flag and replacing it with the trump flag. You had them waving the american flag and beating police officers with that flag. That's what was going on just on january sixth. It is their country not our country. I remember very well that there was a confederate flag. Being being tossed around you know floating around in the united states capitol. I also remember very well when recently when i was with my children in north carolina in the outer banks with people in pickup trucks with confederate flags flying alongside the us flag and that scared me and the same message was there. You don't belong here. We belong here. And i was afraid of that. And so yes. When i drive into a neighborhood and it's not july fourth and i'm not in a predominantly military household neighborhood and there are flags american flags everywhere alongside trump flags alongside flags in with with a stars in a circle. I feel threatened because the message is very clear. It's a message of white supremacy. It's a message of racism and it's a message of their country not my country and i don't understand why that would receive backlash people need to listen when i am saying. This is how i feel. This is my experience in this country right. Well that is the right of all of us right to have our feelings now experienced joy. Where you falling in this discussion of this kind of flag-waving. You and i are old enough to remember that the flag has been used in many incarnations over the years. George carlin said that. When fascism comes to america it'll be wrapped in the flag and carrying a bible and let's not forget that trump took the flag and wrapped them sell literally wrapped himself in it and carried a bible to the capital before that that that that last incident. So and these are trump americans. I presume doing this. I kind of resented. I mean the flag belongs to all of us. But you know to to follow a guy who mocks servicemen who colludes with foreign governments to influence our election who abuses and disrespects the constitution and then wave the flag in the name of that person in the name of those anti-constitutional un-american democratic principles that is really the irony of life by the way i will be displaying the american flag and my house on july fourth because i am also a very patriotic person and i believe in the constitution and nobody least of all these insurrectionists who decided that if they wave a flag and curse at joe biden that that makes them more american than me Excuse me i have. I have a bridge to sell you. Okay okay we can talk more about this when we come back. Welcome back. we're talking about near times right marcia. gay Exhibiting her her legal right to say how she feels about the politicizing of the american flag. So megan what do you think about this. Conversation is at one you've heard over and over. I think you enjoy a right that the american flag has always been used for political reasons. I know in the sixties. It was burnt to protest the vietnam war as actually really happy to hear you. Joyce say that. You're still gonna probably display our flag on the fourth of july because the flag means different things to different people and you can love something in the same way that i love my husband. I love my friends. And it doesn't mean i don't see their flaws. I always think about america that it's the greatest country in the world and if you could find a country that's better show me. I have traveled the entire world. I can't find any place that i love more than being here. I will say there's some people. She was on long island on memorial day. Weekend memorial day is to memorialize honor those who have fallen. The flag isn't just simply used Insurrectionist it was used to cover my dad's a casket. It's used a cover the caskets of fallen soldiers who come back from war. It's used to be put on the graves at arlington to honor those who have given the greatest sacrifice and in the same way that i am open to hearing and have been open to hearing what the flag means to other people in their experiences. I hope that they are equally in. This writer can hear what the flag means to my experiences and my home is covered in them. Markar has it on them. My name my daughter liberty. I think i'm very clear on this issue. I love this country and very patriotic. And i love waving the american flag. And there's no argument for me. That's ever gonna change my my my.

"Show like nick cannon who can enjoy how what do you think about how this all played out. You know what be. Let's tell the truth about the bachelor. It's a show based on superficial relationships. Why would you ever expect that. The host would be a deep thinker. Okay this is a show where they hook up before they know each other for two seconds. They get the supposedly going to get married. I don't think any of them ever get married. But i don't care one way or the other but you know it's like a go back to my premise. Which is because. I was an educator at one point it's about education. Really you know in germany. I ran into a girl who was from germany. She was in her twenties. She told me that in high school they have these these field trips to dock out they go to dock cow which was the concentration camp back in the thirties and forties and that is their field trip. And maybe that is what is in order here for these ignoramuses out there who don't know any history whatsoever and have no interest to even find out what is going on so i would suggest a trip to charleston south carolina where i happened to have been a couple of years ago when i went to a plantation and i saw i saw with my own eyes. What plantation looked like with slave quarters people need to learn reading and start looking into things and sub spouting nonsensical things which is like oh was okay and that year but it's not okay this year we're talking about. What are you talking about having said that. I don't know that the guy should be fired as sunny says i believe in education. I said it again. He needs to learn and maybe maybe he can come back from this because people do learn they learn when they have the opportunity to learn and when people are open to learning. And i say that and we'll be right back.

"Hello and welcome to the view. The bachelor franchise has broken off. Its nineteen year relationship with with chris harrison over the fallout from his confrontation with the first black bachelorette. Rachel lindsay is a battle white contestant who attended an antebellum south plantation party. A few years ago take a look. The picture was the from two thousand eighteen at an old south antebellum party. It's not a it's not a good will rachel. Is it a good luck in two thousand eighteen or is it not a good look in twenty twenty one and it's not a big never. She's celebrating all south. She sell if i went to that party. What would i represent at that party. I don't i don't disagree with you. You're one hundred percent ride in two thousand twenty one. That was not the case in twenty eight and a statement. Abc one or horizon thanked him and wished him the best on his new journey. Chris says it was an incredible run. And he's excited for his next chapter. So what could that chapter. Look like sarah. I'm not sure I do think this needed to happen. This kind of break-up of sorts to use the word apropos to this franchise He has worked to do. And i saw the apology. He did an interview after. And i felt it was empty and i think usually you can tell an interview if someone genuinely feels remorse and wants to do the work but i do think he could do the work and if he does i do think he could work again. Just this this was the right move. But i also think if the show was created in two thousand and twenty one through the lens of twenty twenty one in they would have had a female host. Anyway when you think about a show that literally revolves around dating falling in love marriage all those things. I don't really think of anyone going. Let me go check in with my male friends. You know like this is a mars and venus situation where everything about the viewership and who's watching this show to the way to best critique and kind of play into this show so i think this was also the best move for the. This was the best move for the franchise for a few different reasons. Right sunny how you feeling about people. Claiming he's being canceled. Well you know we'll be. I don't agree with this term. cancel culture. i think this is about consequences consequence culture and there are consequences. I think two things that he said and this is just sort of not the first time that he has made his opinion known. I mean he. At one point. I think called rachel lindsay angry when when she says in fact she was just sort of sticking up for herself sort of leaning into that angry black woman trope and it does seem like he's still has worked to do. He did say that he and his interview that sarah was referencing with. He said he was seeking guidance from a race educator and strategists. Who's teaching him how to learn from that experience and move forward and so can he work again in this industry. Of course i think he can. I think people want to see folks learn when it comes especially to antiracism and he's got an eight figure. Severance pays my understanding was being reported. And so he's going to be well compensated and i think there just needs a lot of work to be done when it comes in this country to race relations and learning the true history of this country and chris. Harrison is one person that needs to do this work. The other thing that i wanna say is when it comes to this franchise. The host is someone that needs to make everyone feel very comfortable. The couple's feel comfortable. The contestants fissionable. And i don't know that he is at this point. The right person to do that right. Okay so megan. What do you think. Chris really needs to sort of pick up on here to help him in the future. I think part of the interview that he did that People reacted to so strongly. He's incredibly dismissive. To rachel. And i think if there's one thing we all have learned over the past year and a half and you know our entire lifetime living in this country but especially since the murder of george floyd is that it's important to listen. She is a black woman. Talking about her experience the contestant who appeared in the antebellum Party to can't believe things like ask that still exist. She's actually still with the black bachelor. So i'm actually interested to hear how he came to the point where he could forgive her and what works. She did I don't love the bachelor. I apologize to our parent company. Abc no disrespect to the work. That's done on this network but it's an extremely problematic show. I think the fact that there's never any people there are never any black people. There's not a lot of hispanic people if you wanna talk about body positivity. There's very rarely. I think there was one contestant one time who was oversight zero now follow on instagram. There's no different bodies. Different people like dating is is about the dated every kind of race every kind of person because they never knew who was going to be the one. And i think that's more reflective of twenty twenty one so i think that shows got a lot of makeovers to do a lot of different ways that goes way beyond the host. My final thing is nick. Cannon made extremely anti comment on his radio show. He called black people the true hebrews and jews have usurped that identity. He argued that. Jewish people are white. Europeans are a little less deficient That historically caused them to act out of fear and commit acts of violence. They had to be savages. He also talked about days and the aluminum the zionists and the rothschilds obviously referring to anti semitic tropes about jewish people. Nick cannon is about to have a daytime talk show. That's gonna compete with this one that i assume is going to want to have an audience and all of america he has done a lot of work would jewish leaders from my understanding. He actually met with my friend. Barry weiss who wrote a book on anti semitism so there are stories like this. Where if you do enough work you can be accepted back into polite society in daytime television so i think we'll see what happens with chris harrison. And the kind of work he does so maybe he can have a daytime talk..

Rachel lindsay Barry weiss Chris Nick cannon rachel lindsay chris harrison nineteen year Harrison one hundred percent george floyd hebrews nick jewish Jewish instagram jews two things megan rachel two thousand

Here's what Kelly Clarkson did to feel 'cleansed' amid Brandon Blackstock divorce

"Well kelly clarkson is now talking about how she is getting through her divorce from black socks during an interview with fran. Drescher on the kelly clarkson show france said. She renovated her entire house after her divorce. Because she wanted it to feel more peaceful while kelly could totally relate it. It's like you were in my last therapy session. Literally not only like redick. God new house very white and clean and it's the same reasoning and i also redid my office here. I looked at kevin. But i was like. Please help me make this make sense out. Like i need to feel queer. Click clinton's and just wanted to feel happy that make me feel really good Alley what do you think about redecorating. I mean i think there is nothing like design therapy especially out of a relationship where you're walking around. You're still in that same space everywhere you turn. You know opening a cabinet making them around a corner like oh there's where we had a kiss or a hug or whatever i think yeah clean it out move on freshening up one hundred percent good idea.

"And make tattoo guns with electric beard-trimmers even Jersey Shores Mike? The situation is dipping a toe in the prison youtube waters after spending eight months in federal prison for tax evasion. It's a chance to learn what prison's really like. At least what it's like for men. The female experience is largely absent. Very few women have channels drawn. The kind of audiences that the melons you but they but those that do take meaningfully different approach to sharing this their stories and this article focuses on a woman named Jessica Kit who published a video called. I had a baby in prison and while I was writing this I went to look at the video and it had one million four hundred twenty one thousand four hundred and four of us as of the time I looked at it so after she posted that her subscribers grew by thousands and she realized the power of her perspective and that there was very few women on Youtube talking about life behind bars and she felt she could shed light on women's issues like pregnancy that are largely ignored by the prison system. And the article says that women are the fastest growing segment of the incarcerated population in America. Increasing eight hundred and thirty four percent between nineteen seventy eight in two thousand fifteen yet much of the attention to curbing. Mass incarceration has focused on men. The Prison Policy Initiative reports this issue in many states most notably Michigan which reduced the male prison population by eight percent. Between two thousand nine and two thousand fifteen but incarcerated thirty percent. More women over the same period in the article also goes on to discuss some very serious matters like how wimpy saw Tun of inequalities in in prison on and sexual abuse by male guards at how rampant that is an issue that women are more likely to be the primary caretakers of their children so both the mother and the children are oftentimes obviously traumatized by the separation and the limited access. They have to each other. This article goes on to discuss another prison. Youtuber named Christina. Randall and I thought this part was wild. It says it worked out for Randall. Who makes a living wage off video views plus her patriotic which offers extra videos and skype calls for a range of monthly fees? She's also made the jump from youtube to be cast Baba's new competition reality shows by games. Okay first of all. Has Anyone watched games? Because honestly it looked kind of good to me when I saw a commercial but then I just forgot to watch it and back in the day I really loved the show the Mole. Do any of you guys remember watching that. I WanNa say it came out kind of around the same time D. I seasons of survivor were out so I was young and I love that show. It was literally one person was a mole and all the other players had to figure out who it was. And it's kind of like that game like you play Mafia if you've ever played that like camp or something but on TV. And I loved it. I thought it was so cool and I was a kid. I be the Molik. Ibero able to keep my cool anyways. I feel like I need to watch spy. Games is the moral of that story. The other moral of the story is beyond that. It's fucked up that women have equal. You know shit going on in prison to gets a little more lighthearted side of it. I'm wondering if maybe the key to success is to just go to prison and have a baby because honestly I worked. Kinda hard at my youtube channel. And I've had it for over a year and I have one hundred thirty seven subscribers so again if you guys want to throw me a bone. It's there for you to subscribe to all right last article for today. The joy of Fred. Twenty one years after the end of the nanny were all still in her thrall by Matthew Schneier and I have to preface this article by saying that I was also obsessed with the nanny. I couldn't tell you anything about the story line or really any of the characters because I think I just loved it because of Fran Herself. I love her outfits. I just loved her voice. I thought she was so funny. Even though I don't think I understood like half the jokes I'm pretty sure they went over my head and she really was just such a powerhouse and I couldn't local way in this article. They write thirty years worth of journalists have struggled to describe her. Mazel whinny. I like Los Angeles is magazines version the version. The voice of a blue means perfume. Spitzer in heat. I just thought that was Kinda good an accurate and now sixty two and she looks fucking incredible like I hope she can drop a beauty routine her plastic surgery routine. I don't know what it is but honeys looking good and I can already tell. Would this article at this point that it was just GonNa be like Zoe? One that was just GonNa make me like Fran even more and it rides stretches both a whole new woman a cancer survivor. With a foundation to advocate for early detection prevention and policy marijuana evangelists in a fiery political opinionated with a snappy anti-capitalist bent and exactly the one you feel you know her text messages are spangled with Kiss Sprint? And Moti she loves an ESPRESSO MARTINI. The height of nineties elegance. Now Ya'll have you had an espresso Martini recently. Because I'm telling you that shit hits different. My favorite drinks are usually of the citrus variety. I talked about my Greek food. Drink that I die for as just like a kind of go to bar drink margaritas. He`does those are my favorites order Margaritas. Living my favorite drink of all time. I don't even care if it's a trashy grows one. I prefer freshman but I just love a Barker Rita and I love the brightness of dirty Martini but hot damn if you WANNA make sure uppers downers get yourself in Espresso Martini next time. You're at a place that makes a cocktail and I swear you will not regret it if you like. You have to like the flavor of coffee but it's so good when it's done well and honest life changing that's article back home on the upper west side after a stop at a Columbus Avenue Bodega for one hundred eighty six worth of fresh flowers which she arranges and distributes across a number of visas. Drescher as quick. Change into a Terry Cloth. Robe and Diamond Tennis Bracelet. On her wrist. While her ever present assistant Jordan lights a fire in the living room hearth dressers companies. Called uh-huh productions and emails from Jordan dispatches from in about fram had been popping up on my phone days is simply too casually by one hundred and eighty six dollars of something that will just die in a week. Maybe an end goal of mine. I'm Kinda Frugal about my flowers because I do love having them in my house but yeah it's hard for like shell out on a on a nice arrangement. I even asked my parents for Valentine's key. Guys give me a dried arrangement. So it'll stay longer and they did and it's great and still going strong and I also think it's funny anything. Someone pointed this out in in the comments that they're talking about her being anti-capitalist yet like that description is kind of like coming from like a number one capitalist and consumer like no judgment I consume the shit out of goods so no Shay just kind of like interesting reporting dresser spends most of her time in Malibu where she has a house on the ocean and a regular table at Nobu but she keeps an apartment in New York and an arts and crafts style building. Just the park where she once shared a wall with Madonna juicy in the kitchen as a framed cover of New York dog magazine featuring dresser with Essar one of her late beloved Pomeranians esters predecessor. Chester was a guest star on the nanny and guys killer. She has a Pomeranian. You know all those times. You've heard my dog groggy. Bark just like five minutes ago Of this very podcast. It's he is also a Pomeranian. He's literally in my lap right now. Like the little prince as I am so deeply deranged. Lii In love with him. I am oh I could just eat him up with a spoon. I love him so much so anyone else who has a Pomeranian I just automatically think higher of them like oh well yeah. We're obviously soulmates. I always say like if I could find a guy like with a Pomeranian like that might be it for me. Just saying just putting that out there so she says I have the good fortune of being recognizable. She says for people to roll out the red carpet for me wherever I go in the world such heaven sometimes people say I don't like Paris. They're not nice to me and it's like really. I'm like Jerry Lewis. They're just made me laugh because only God that must be the life. Do just like getting treated nice everywhere and these are some other things. I learned from the article. A nanny. Musical is coming to Broadway. Sign me the fuck up. She is working on an act that will take her to Cafe Carlyle in New York signing up for that too. I learned that her ex husband is now her gay ex husband. Which like can you blame a gay guy wearing this cultural icon? I can't and now they are writing partners like forever which is so poetic Nice. I love they stayed in touch. She fought for her character in the nanny to be portrayed as Jewish because there were no main characters at the time of shows who were Jewish and a major sponsor or potential sponsor of the show wanted her to be portrayed as Italian and she really fought for the fact that she wanted to be portrayed as Jewish. I thought that was cool. And she now describes her religion as follows as a Buddhist or Buju which is more to the point of what I am really balance is a big part of your daily practice. I try and find balancing everything. I never forget where I came from. An inside I'm still chubby girl from Queens. Anyway and booed you as an Buddhist Jewish person might be the best word mash up ever heard like Buju all right. Today's Legit Shit is a lotion that I love. It's called the sedation. Aero Brazilian bum. Bum CREAM REMEMBER. You guys can always use the links and my show notes to buy the stuff. I mentioned. And it's great if you actually use the Lincoln my show notes because they're affiliate links and I get like a couple of cents from your order so you know helps me out supporting that twenty dollars a month podcast Fi But I love this lotion. It smells delicious. You guys already know I kind of tend towards thing that smell a little bit food like and this one smells like a really delicious sunscreen. In a fresh way. I feel like it's really moisturizing. It goes in nicely. I'm so bad about actually moisturizing my whole body but when I do this really is a treat and it's expensive. It's like forty five dollars for the big jar but maybe get like one of the packs has little the little smaller size travel ones in it because those are agreed to travel and support definitely has those in some of their greatest hit kits. I recommend that and I will see next week they..

"It's kind of cute right. Hello and welcome back to Kinda cute and if you knew here welcome. My Name's Billy Evan. I'm your host and on Kinda cute. We discuss articles from the cut. And my general pop culture musings as usual. I asked you guys subscribe. Give me a five star rating and leave a little written review. If you're feeling feisty it would honestly make my day and I'm still waiting to send a sticker to a stranger and not just my friends who've left review so if you are a stranger and you have or you do leave a review. Just demere address at Bailey Evan on Instagram B. I. L. E. Y. E. V. I N. And I will send you a Kinda cute sticker. Wow last week I was talking about redacting like previous statements and I definitely mint retraction REDAC- things as a lawyer. So I think those just on the mind but I admit retraction just to clear that up on like a complete idiot more than I usually deal and I actually think this is a fitting thing to bring up again today because Heather McDonald. Who is a popular podcast or of the podcast called Juicy Scoop? It's also kind of a pod coach. Pop Culture podcast. A she was sued by Jim. Beleno who is the ex husband of one of the real housewives. She had Tamra Barney and Shannon Bondar who were also members of real housewives of Orange County on her podcast as live guests and they were talking about this impending divorce between Jimbo Lino and his now ex wife Alexis Baleno and he sued them for. I don't even know. Really what his statement of claim stated what his counselor such B. S. I guess defamation. It's so weird though. Because he's already a public figure and his divorce was very public to begin with and divorce papers are public. You can search for them so I really don't even know why a lawyer agreed to bring the suit But Luckily today her motion to dismiss was granted and the court dismissed it with prejudice. Which means that Jim cannot just amend his complaint and bring another complaint against heather he I think plans on appealing the ruling which will make this drag on even further. But I really don't think he has a likely chance of succeeding during appeal. So I think for now that is done with and it shows the podcast do and should have the protection of the First Amendment. So I think that is a win for all podcasts. Even puny little ones like mine. That is either just one hundred percent me. Rigor other people's shed or my own opinion. What's your opinion really cannot be sued on it just can't in my in my opinion so anyways. I just thought that was something worth sharing when we were talking about my retraction reduction last week. The Corona virus is obviously reaching a peak. I'm sure it's the last thing you guys WanNa hear about. Of course I had to look up. Travel Deals and oh my gosh guys. They're so good. I'm like I could go to Boston. I could go to Philly. I could go to York for all under one hundred dollars out of PCs which is an airport five minutes. Don't worry I'm not doing it. I'm not traveling. I'm actually really am trying to cut down on contact. Nago too big group things just because I think it is one of those mass mentality. Things that if we all do that it'll help everyone in the end but honestly I would love to go out to dinner and get a drink My sister's Outta town this week and I'm just dying for human interaction. I think I should have gone. This should have been the week. I went on my first dating APP. Date but loan bowl didn't happen because we're too busy with our side hustle guys and that's more important I think also with Corona virus. I think another issue coming along with it. Is that the other random unimportant news. That's going on that I usually talk about isn't being reported on much so it's kind of a detriment of this podcast so this week. We're heavy on some profiles of various people we have Fran Drescher Zoey Deutch and most importantly the women of Prison Youtube so settle in get cozy with Your Cup of tea and your hand sanitizer. I liked to envision that you're listening to this while you W F h work from home. It took me a while to get that acronym guys come seeing on Instagram and was like what the Hell is Wfan anyways. I hope that's where you are. I hope you're cocooned in your favorite blanket listening to the Dulcet Valley. Girl sounds of my voice onward to our articles today talking. Death and God was Zoe by send. Geeta Singh Kurtz. I have to preface this by saying but we're reading this article. I didn't know how I felt about Zoe. Even as an actress I feel like she's always cast as the endearingly quirky girl with a slight edge willing to stand up for herself willing to be a little snarky. She was in the politician I did like her on the set. Which is a great ROM COM on Netflix? If you haven't seen it yet but my knowledge of her beyond the small things I've seen her acton is pretty limited limited and just relegated to her as an actress so I was excited for this article to peel back the layers a little bit and I was not disappointed. Let's get into it. Send you to rights Zoey Deutch's fixing your the soft stare that does not match the intensity of the questions. She just asked me which are do. Believe in an afterlife. Do you believe in reincarnation. What do you believe in we're nursing? Pots of black tea at the Plaza Hotel across from Central Park. And she's been interviewing me for nearly two hours. I don't think it's fair for a writer to come in. Look me up and not look them up. She says explaining that she google me extensively. I read all of your stuff. Look through your things. And she had including a small novel on immortality apparently now she wanted to get your money's worth by asking me about death and God and other things I wasn't a pre prepared to talk about it high tea first of all I have to say. I am a high tea lover. I would even go so far as to call me an Aficionado because I have never met a tiny little sandwich that I don't like anything about high they are very accommodating to my Pesca -tarian lifestyle I can just get extra cucumber sandwiches. Extra Salmon Sandwiches. It really works out nicely for me and then bite size pastries and then see like. It's literally all of my favorite things I know it's like overpriced and not worth it and it's so early and kind of stupid but I live for it and I've never been at the plaza and I just like to add that. I think that is on my bucket list now Dr Zoe. I love this. She just goes for it and this question and I love this potentially means that Zoe has read many of the articles. We've discussed on here because we cover so many of Sanjay Gupta's articles because she loves to talk about their strappy people. She was the one who did the article about John Ambrose. She's the one who did the one on manages Santo. So we've always discussed that soon. Geeta gets the fun pieces and I really liked the Meta nature that I'm talking about Zoe. Interviewing Santita and Zoe read articles that we've discussed on this podcast like wow guys so doing my journalistic duty. I went and looked up. Sent you article on immortality and it was published in Courts magazine in two thousand nineteen and she really focuses on discussing the business of mortality in how billionaires focus a lot on it like bazo is invested in companies. That focus on longevity. But to be honest with you guys. This article is far more dense than any article so I am just flabbergasted if Zoey read it all and just respect to her so moving to this line which may have converted metoo Zoe Fan. Send you to rights that. She's wearing a minimalist designer outfit. It's focal point as a Kenzo coat covered in a luminosity. Is I call it my conversation piece? I could talk about it all the time. I wear it so much that I have my lines I got is everywhere I got is everywhere she hoots thrown out finger guns and let me tell you guys. Google this coat and I can get it. Secondhand for two hundred and fifty dollars and beatty is temp at Ted. Let me tell you because a it's cute and be Espada retail is two thousand three hundred sixty dollars. So what a steel honey knocking off zero and then some dots. The article her in Persons Meaner is more like Harper more her character in the two thousand eighteen net flicks ROM com. Set it up a twenty something intern trying to figure out. Figure it out in New York. Deutsch who's twenty five now has the same kind of intense self deprecating. Moxie that makes Harper so charming and I think I found this interesting because earlier. I said I liked her in that movie. And then as I was reading this am I becoming a super van of Zoe as I read through this? So since you did then says. I haven't been a journalist for long but one thing I've experienced when speaking with celebrities that they mostly know the bare minimum about whom they're speaking with. Who you right for your name. Maybe I was below bewildered by Deutsche. Who Knew Things about me? That are hard to find on the Internet. But we'd had some champagne so I explained to this woman. I just met my thoughts on death and God that I was raised in a MIS mixed race sick household that was religious and fractious an isolated probably as a result. I'm extremely non-religious. I wonder why she passed palm reading activity. I suggested in Lua fancy T- well what. If I found something scary. She shudders her grandmother. Deutsche says was a psychic and her mom actress Leah Thompson. Back to the future is a little bit too. I'll get scared about something and I'll be like what if I'm psychic. She says her own into Incheon. But I'll be so wrong. Dude guys you do that too. I've said on the podcast like I think I can like put out these predictions since the universe and sometimes I am right but I definitely think it's less psych again tuition and just the pure density amount of pop culture. I have consumed over my third year on year. Lifetime that gives me any prediction skulls at all and then it says that Deutsche in Chinatown now where she says no one recognizes her which. I don't know if that's true or if people just like don't say anything to her because they're too cool in Chinatown but I also think that zoe kind of looks like a lot of girls who live in Chinatown so I could kind of see this being the case. And then what she's talking about. What's coming up next? She says. I don't know I don't really know anything at all. I would love to know literally right before we met. I was on a call like trying to figure out that question. What's in the future? She gazes at a neighboring table expression. One that I recognize him myself and my peers. Those decisions are hard but I haven't made them yet. They're fine right now because I'm here having tea with you. What about you guys? I don't know about you but I found that to be a delightful interview Bravo Santita but I would have liked to know zoe. Thoughts on God and death I would have liked a little more of that. And maybe we'll get that in the extra cut content that we. I sometimes get in the newsletter. So keep your fingers crossed next up. We have the women of Prison Youtube by Jessica Bloom now. Surprisingly I have never watched a youtube prison video. I'm obsessively Youtube. I love the prison shows. I know that they have ones like hacksaw where they show how to make prison makeup and stuff like that and how they do it and again the fact that I haven't watched one is maybe the most shocking part of this podcast so far but I wanted to cover it here so Jessica rights although. It's an easy topic covered less than one hundred channels. Prison Youtube is turning some ex-cons influence influencers. Millions of people. Watch these youtubers. "Shows about radio? What do you do at those? I don't know. Now eleven minutes before the hour. Carl is in Fargo North Dakota. So what do you think Karl is there anything that you particularly miss on television? Well, Mike, you definitely have a beer here Fargo friendly, anytime you come up here because people are gonna move. You're really on this lovely area. It's so cold and winter half year, by the way Fargo, you know, the movies, I one of my favorite movies, and I also enjoy the TV show called Fargo hasn't been on for a while. I think I hope they're coming back. It's been like a year and a half. I say last. Up early in the morning working hard. Truck, but my favorite teen show growing up with them. I do, gene. I cried and by were eating was such a role model for anybody that if you don't know her. She lost. Whatever voice to suicide. I remember that. Yeah. And. Just a beautiful. She just passed away. It's only been a couple of years. I think. But yeah she she was she was a big hit. So anything more recent. I understand that you're you haven't of TV show on your truck. Macgyver. My brother named Larry. But I you know what? Anything with duct tape? Do you have that? Is it painted on the side of the truck or that's just what you what you call it? Where did Larry come from names a truck? Larry, chris. Minnesota. And I said, you know what we gotta remember Kristie he, he also died in a car accident. We're a good guy and macgyver, was a TV show that I think I think Hollywood need the guy like need to come back and redo the movie. Well, you know, the thing is it was unique it had a unique character and a unique approach did unique things. And that, that's the thing I like about, you know, on a television show, does something different, and it's not all stamped out because I'm looking at some of these new shows for next year, and they're doing the same old formula that bringing in big stars to do traditional sitcoms, that I thought people didn't wanna watch those anymore. But then on the other hand, the big bang theory, which I've never seen either that apparently is a fairly traditional three camera sitcom. And yet, it's been a blockbuster, at a time when most of the at least the, the cool shows are, you know, going to the single camera more sophisticated kind of thing without the, the constant setup punchline setup. Punchline, you know, I don't know if they had a laugh track on this show, a big bang theory, or not. But. And I've actually better looking than HOGAN. And my grandpa, who was in World War. Two. Watch that movie in the. And is just a wonderful show also. But you know that one I don't think you'd ever make it. Yeah. It's hard to know. You might be able to if you could find a cast with the right kind of chemistry anyway. Thank you so much for the call. Appreciate it. Carol. Seems like NBC is trying to go back to the golden days of the eighties and nineties when they were must see TV on Thursday nights and they had comedies. They're, they're producing all these brand new sitcoms. And bringing back a lot of familiar names. I see a lot of names of people who were on television longtime ago. Jimmy Smits coming back in his show and Fran drescher remember the nanny, she's coming back into show Steven Weber, who is on wings back in the eighties coming back and they're all doing sitcoms with NBC, and they looked like they're fairly traditional kinds of programs. One is, is produced by Chris rock, and starring Keenan Thompson from Saturday Night, Live as traditional dad trying to balance family and work, and that doesn't sound too exciting. So what what's happening with NBC is really a call out there from TV viewers to go back and give us three camera lap track sitcoms? Well, I think things ebb and flow for a while there. We were moving away from the traditional multi camera sitcom to something like Brooklyn nine nine which was a single camera show with. Thout that studio audience. There's also the ability to package, it around us star, and I think packaging a show around Fran. Drescher is pretty easy to do for the marketing department. These are names that people have recognized, and that, that can draws people to show directly as opposed to a grander larger hour long show that, that maybe has a bigger budget, and the bigger challenge to shoot. It's much easier to just shoot it in a studio in Burbank can be able to go from their and the keep the costs down some of these new shows, especially on NBC when you read the descriptions, it sounds like a Saturday Night, Live sketch. They have a show called perfect harmony. Speaking of old timers coming back it stars Bradley Whitford. Remember he was on the west wing. He starring now, quote, as a former college music, professor who's next chapter unexpectedly involves a small town. Church's choir. That sounds like that would be good for about eleven minutes on a sketch that's been the constant complaint for years, and years and years, that, that you don't have a sustainable premise. But then again, you look at something as you just friends, which is about a group of friends who meet together in a coffee shop deal with their problems that sounds like a relatively unsustainable presence. But premise, but look how long that was on the air. Is it that the, you know, it used to be, when you had a sitcom, and it would and the networks are waiting for it to hit one hundred episodes, so that they could put it in syndication and make a fortune in Jerry Seinfeld has actually made a billion dollars off syndication of Seinfeld. And is that why they're doing this hoping that, you know, even if only one of these five or six shows, you know, if you can last four seasons and you get one hundred episodes, then it's golden is out there trying to do here. Well, there's always that, that when they get approaching that hundred episode Mark, I think that's one of the things with fresh off the boat that it had reached one hundred episode market, didn't need to necessarily go to six season. And that's what people think that the idea is to get this indication syndications, not the only life left in the sitcom anymore. They'll syndicate short run shows, and they'll put them on DVD. They'll put him on the streaming services. There is always a chance for the revenue. And I, I don't know how much the syndication is the boon that it was twenty thirty forty years ago because that the syndicated stuff basically populated the afternoon programming. And there's so many other options out there that I think that that's nudging that out, especially when you come into reality programming nudging out syndicated television from just old shows. All right. Thanks, Kevin car. Well, let's take a few more calls, but you know what? This is radio. We work by the second and the seconds are running out. We are at about four and a half minutes before the hour. So we're gonna have to give it a break for today. Thanks for your calls here on first light. We're coming back in two minutes. Now that human resources director for Nando, piano has Kronos for HR payroll, talented time. He's completely crushing it. He even has his own hype song. Supporting our entire workforce.
