Yes all stuff emerged from ninety metro-sexuals Genre and when we were coming up tonight that was my job and in that movie John Travolta's blow drying tax write pants were very very tough so guys were starting to take care of their cloth. Their hair is a teenager when I got that part but that was the beginning of that whole period well. What was it like were meeting Travolta is he was he was a sweat hug at the time is and welcome back on your sweetheart yeah store? You know he's each T._v.. Star Yeah this is first movie and I love Them from the T._v.. So funny on that show and a great time funny and cute and their whole I mean it goes to show you what timing is because that whole kind of New York thing was very popular so I was right at the right place at the right time because I was never nervous when I take needing so I would be very chatty very confident very comfortable in my own skin pretty yeah very very young and so I started the book yeah and I wonder why you were never where you did you perform in high school. How did that perform in high school but the dressers are very outgoing okay? I say I love this story. You got your lap from your mom and you tell the story Dow voice you know my parents are like satellite celebrity yeah and even Rosie Odonnell had them on as early bird restaurants. I reviewed restaurants in Florida Florida quite a lot too so and their names are perfect Morton civil authority and Selvi so they they were asked wants to do realize that Fran Dan had a funny voice when she was growing up and my mom and the same voice said we never knew she had a fun when you really there a couple all different versions of it is when you ramp up into it's like it's like a like an athlete a long jumper running up to to his mark people say to me. Why do you want on your Tim Stone and I say her laugh made us laugh that would be called at is true and what what a gift before signing at fever you were was that miss teen? "Don't be yourself up because I pulled a knife out of the nine frag before they came to me and then I thought no I shouldn't put it back and I did and so I think I was beating myself up about that I shouldn't have I should've just done it but I got scared. Of course I think about I shouldn't but I think about what if something like that happened to me. I think oh I would like to think that I would do that grabbing right but then the reality of actually doing plunging a knife and they had guns and at the time especially I was completely unconscious to this but I add a superwoman. You know like issue I mean I I was everybody superwoman and everybody's caregiver. You're so you know I I felt like I had failed was this. Can you track why that was. I mean it was it. The way you grew up in. My homes is in Queens my how home in me and my sister like year apart and Shay was I think the high strung one in the family took up a lot of room. Yeah my mom was the nervous one and my dad was the STOIC one and I I was the youngest where I got my positive reinforcement was to be the needless one and the the caregiver yeah not have not of needs of my own but they give everyone else's news very similar familial dynamic. I think that's yeah he yes so many reasons why we get juice still have that dynamic is your parents are still alive and and as is your sister's derived right as no not as much because I'm myself have changed yeah yeah yeah. I've done a lot of work on myself and I think actually that was a silver lining of getting cancer. I think the cancer was part and parcel of not really dealing with the rape and poetically ended up a gynecologic logic cancer. Oh you think which is manifested itself because of what how that I did the movie and I just kinda brushed it on the carpet and now you have cancer so it has got to be about you so now it's my license to make it about as pathetic as towns. I had to get cancer to say you know I need help. I can't do this alone. He know the Yuna burs offers keeps.

"Knew her only as pretty much as the nanny <hes> and I knew her to have such an indelible voice and and laugh but one that was so specifically New York specifically Queens New York Work Laura your impressions of her before doing the movie aside from her voice. Had you ever seen the nanny I had never seen. I don't think I've ever seen the nanny seen like scenes from it but I never sat down and watch start to finish an episode. I've never been inside one of those apartments one of those insanely <hes> fancy apartments and the funny thing about friends apartment is that it had also the previous residents it had all been themselves famous Jewish women like iconic iconic Jewish Madeline Kahn rattling or it was a karaoke cain. "And with me as always is Christian Hi Justin High Christian and that continues to be weird we normally don't call each other by our first name but you are named Christian so speaking of the preseason they were kind of the idealized version of our family in that we we were three brothers. They were three brothers. They're older than us but they were not that you're not to put us down too much but they were very handsome and friendly and and athletic. They played sports so they were kind of. I always saw them as people that we aspire to be kid yeah that's true. They were definitely are physical superiors well. We were also little boys. They were they so you know they had but even once we became teenagers they looking back. I think they were physically they were but you don't know that because you're like they were your vision of our city football players not oh varsity football players are really good-looking no not necessarily good looking but more physically impressive than we are. I mean just their faces up on their faces they did two of them are twins. Remember there was an oldest Chris and occasionally we would get Chris and that was like he was like Tom. Brady uh-huh. I feel like we talk about science. Tom Brady mob cast a lot. It's way too much. Do Gay men like Tom. Brady and fetish is his looks as much as straight man and I would say probably not not that'd be my guess worse early qualified dance to that but I don't think we can. I don't think it's possible answer that besides the PREC brothers my favorite babysitter was named Shelley I think and she was <hes> I remember her being really pretty. I think that she had like kind of a valid. It was the first valley girl accent that I was ever exposed to and now of course that's very common thing you see that on a lot of reality shows that like a lot of talk like that you know that slack a very. That's what she talked she did she. It's sort of like whatever yeah we had never heard that before because we we grew up on the east coast. We grew up in Connecticut so it wasn't a very very like Orange County L._A.. Area accent which has now become so popularized that I think a lot of with girls talk like that guys talk like that too. We'll speaking of Nannies and babysitters. We have on the show today arguably the most famous nanny in the world I think or one of them <hes> Fran Drescher who starred as as the nanny on the C._B._S. showed the nanny that's true it's the first time that occurred to me that she is probably the most famous nanny who else what other I mean when we were kids Mr Poppins. Oh yeah of course of impact our Mary. poppins is a original characters as you guys are about out. Fran Drescher is in fact real. That's right that's true Mr Belvedere and actually in the eighties Charles in charge who's the boss Tony Danza Tau in fact Charleston Charge Scott A._O.. And Tony Danza really reminded me of the prissy boys I think just because of the context and also they were of Italian American descent and they had that kind of like swore the vice did a at least you. That's so your taste. That's my days in boys in boy babysitters. Why never met Fran before Justin had hit? He did a movie with her. We did movie called safe-space. She played your mom which I thought it was sort of insulting to her casting wise that she thinks well only because she's so young looking yeah that I didn't I it's hard to believe that she would be your mother. I was a little nervous about her casting only because I I.

"You know, we talked earlier in the show about how Disney likes to remake. Oliver animated features in the live action features. We've had a Murphy Brown reboot. We've had what other we've had will. And grace reboots we've had boy meets world reboots and the list goes on and the reboots are getting rebooted. And so when we read a reboot we have to do a little reboot or get the boot. Reboot. Get the boot because we got more reboots. Boot hill. Colleen, what is trying to get the reboot treatment this time. Well, I know that there's been a lot of talk about a nanny reboot. Starring Fran drescher Sheffield. That's okay. You can practice and come back. So apparently, Fran drescher is talking about that the rumor that reboot and wanting to do such a thing. And apparently people have been asking her about her fascination with Cardi B. I think that part of it is they have a very unique style of talking very New York City. Exactly. And maybe she relates to her on that level. She has liked to celebrate the the fashion they've celebrated each other's fashion in the past Cardi B has paid and paid homage to Fran drescher with an Instagram post about her dress. And now people are wondering if France would consider casting Cardi B in Anani reboot. What say you? I say Colleen that I would like Cardi B to play the character of the nanny. Want this to be a complete reimagining of the show? I'm sorry. Fran drescher. I know you made it I- conic. I totally understand. I totally get it. And you want this project to happen because you're talking about it. And by putting it out there in the press, you wanna manifested into existence, but I want Cardi B to star in this show because Fran drescher put out the idea that she wants Cardi B to play your daughter, but I want Cardi B to B the nam now. Fran drescher you can play a role in the show. I don't know how book. Here's the thing is like in theory. Fran drescher could play the role of the mother right because true the nannies. Mom was a character on the show. Yes. And Cardi B could play her daughter, and they can just find themselves haphazardly in the situation. But I want the mom to be fresher in the supporting role in the way that her mother. Yes, who was delightful in the show. So you want the focus to be on. As he the nanny. Yes. I have to tell you Holly. I could not disagree with you Hamar. I disagree. I would say give get the boot to this. In fact, actually, I don't even feel like we need a reboot of the nanny at all. Oh, I don't think we need it at all. But that being one you would want Cardi B to star in. Yeah. This is thoroughly should stay in the nineties in the nineties time capsule along I see. Yeah. Yes. By by future generations enjoy what we did in the nineties. We need never do it. Again. That's how you feel about it. But that's how I feel about it in general. And and frankly, the notion of casting Cardi B an a TV series. I'm not down with that. For the same reason that I'm struggling with my lady Gaga experiences right now. I just want her to be over exposed. And she's in danger. Of course, she's seriously injured, and she's had a great year. And I think she's adorable, and I want to just sort of like I want to savor Cardi B. I feel like it Cardi B's career. They understand that. It's of white hot flaming success and Sligo she's on fire. And I think they're worried that maybe perhaps they need to, cultivate, the longevity of her career. I may not have figured out how to do that yet. I can imagine. Hey, we've got another one. We've got another rebe. This one is actually in the works. This is a real reebus. This is happening. Whether you like it or not whether you like it or not, so we're going to still judge it, but it's going to happen. So we talked the other day about the new AT and T partnership with MGM, right? No. They partnered with okay. No. This is a whole different one new fronts. West has partnered with MGM. I don't even know what that is. I'm not really sure what new friends west is. But just know that it's happening is the thing and new fronts west I feel like is a like a conference. Okay. Well, they are they okay MGM has a partnership with Votto, which is another streaming service, and they have decided to roll out a new series based on one of my favorite eighties movies. Mr mom. Mr. mom if you don't remember stars Michael Keaton. Yes. As a dad whose wife played by Teri Garr goes back to work. He gets laid off from his job. And he has to be a stay at home, dad. That's why they call him miss, and there's all kinds of antics ensue Larry hilarity whatnot. What have you? So now, there's a reboot in the works. This one will be a TV series of streaming series. It will be a continuation of the story based on the baby of the family Maguy or Meghan, Meghan. So the the youngest child in the movie is now grown up. She wants to go back into the workforce. And now her husband must become Mr. mom and hilarity ensues. Now I wanted. To take to task a little bit the person who's talking about this project at this conference. They're trying to sell this idea. The reboot of Mr. mom, we thought it would be a good first step for us. We're going to reboot it. It's an American classic. Okay. Yeah. Maybe not so much not an American classic. However, I think that this idea can resonate in two thousand eighteen doesn't need to be connected to the first movie, probably not. But I like the idea that they're giving it that, you know, little traction, Colleen, you may be seething, at my opinion that it is not an American classic. I'm not even really seething at that as much as I am, not even seething. I could not disagree with you more because I don't I honestly don't think that this. I don't think this will play well in two thousand eighteen they have to do it right now. They really have to do it. Right inasmuch as they need to take it out of the eighties because time has moved on timing. Seriously, seriously, moved on Mr. mom. This is what I'm angry. Mr. first of all don't call it, Mr. mom second of all. And even more importantly there was at one point. I think it was a Huggies commercial that was all based on a dad just being all thumbs about changing a diaper. That's what Mr. mom is all about. It starts out that way this like incompetent dad who can't figure out. How to diaper the child doesn't know how to vacuum. And then he figures it out, and then he's like in with the crowd. And then like he and the moms are like doing the coffee thing and doing the play day thing, and it's two thousand eighteen dads. Don't babysit dads are dads. Here's what I need. I I really had to let that out. I thank you. Because I agree with you first confession. I've never saw Mr. mom all the way. Okay. Okay. Now point to if this show is an indictment on the system in which we work that doesn't allow for equal parenting to happen. Then I'm all for it. If we're gonna be talking about, you know, maternity leave paternity leave like all these kinds of things if they can weave the actual social actually impact parents and the way that they parent let's talk about the state of child care in this country. Then maybe we can have this reboot. If we address those thing if Mr. mom is not all I'm just yeah. I'm the goofy dad doesn't know what to do with the baby. Oh, look at pooped. I'm gonna run into Brown and hold off yard. I highly recommend you watch the movie it was gonna make me uncomfortable. I think it will. I think it will. I think what it will do is. It will show you how completely irrelevant it is in today's world. Because when I think I haven't watched it in many many years when I think about it when I think about vignettes Cincinnati goes from it. I get physically angry. Not okay. So that's good. Now, the only way so then ultimately the only way we're here for it. If it really takes an honest, look at what parenting is like in. Then maybe we just call it. I don't know not Mr. mom how about just like dad. We're going to call it that. Yes. Hollywood USA. Thank you. I, hey, but we need to send a really quick idea to you and send some love to our friends in Florida and the way we're doing that is by raising money for the.

"Like were they frustrated artists where they satisfied with their just as a kid? What do you member about their? What were they saying about their job? And I mean, I remember only the good stuff and looking back, I'm like, oh God. That was probably frustrating to that. You know, now living my own frustrations, I sort of have perspective on, there's maybe, but I only remember like, you know, being. It just was like this sort of magic underbelly to the whole world like, oh, there are circus people. There are cubicle people and then there are circus people. And I want to be one of the circus people so bad. I didn't know that the circus people were getting paid three hundred fifty dollars a week to do hay fever. Probably less. That was that was quite. That was the big talker. Wasn't a sex talk? It was the big talk was. So here's what you need to know. Betty. Yeah. There's no health insurance. Yeah. But guess for the first couple of years out of school, I, I did theater in law and order noticed you were, I think you've been in four different ones for different roles yet what I loved it, they got opportunities, right? But there are a lot of actors out there. Do they really be like go back to the well. Implied New York actors for so long. You know, I'm bias. I love New York actors. I think actors are too, but I think part of the reason that law and order was so great. Was that even the guy. Lines had done like Cyrano in Martha's Vineyard that some like everyone is insanely layered and amazing is like Bodega worker number three, a work on it for two months leading up to the. Yep. What was your favorite of your own order roles? Oh, man. Oh boy. Well, when I was Fran drescher 's daughter, that was certainly an honor me with the person with the map of Ireland on my face. Being like mar, allow like just not acceptable casting. I liked playing a crack addict or shirt. It's my natural hair color is Brown. And when I had Brown hair, they let me play crack addicts and lesbians women with heart lives. And the second I dyed my hair blonde. There were like, you're very dumb. So, yeah, I reminisce to the crack addict days was the were these like slow revelations and terms of eluding to like the realization that like, oh, if I'm blonde and I look a certain way, I'm going to get a certain kind of apart, like, where did you go in a little naive once you kind of got out of school by the by then did you so naive? Because also I went to the theater school that I went to Fordham at Lincoln center was very, it was mostly theater of the absurd. Where like if you were on stage yet had a Hunchback or one, I or a crazy voice like or a limp like you were never just a person folding shirts at the gap, which you realize like, oh, when I addition, they want me to just be a normal person asking for a salt shaker and not like. It's Kelsey, so catchy. Exactly. Yes. He's just a normal GRA known to cross your eyes and pass out. So, yeah, certainly came as a shock, but I also, you know, my mom is a full-on character actress, like tiny little lady with talk about the map of Ireland on her face. She's got like orange red hair and always played like the crazy made and always had like people rolling in the aisles, laughing, some crazy choice. She was making big brave, risky choices, and that is the kind of girl I was raised to be, and I'm so happy I was..
