"Anymore. They're beating those teams now and they're sitting foreign to and people are going to say well they haven't really beaten anyone but for good teams teams that are sitting at four and two. They beat bad teams. And that's the bengals are no longer a bad team. They're one of the good teams. That's that's my take on the bengals. Another masterful job. Gary having his cake and eating to saying the bengals don't belong in the section of the podcast but you wrote the outline sex move up gear. I mean fans are still mad at me for my too low power ranking okay weeks ago so i picked them to win three games. I've been reminded of that. Several times already But i do have to say that. This has to be if. You're zack taylor. If you're duke tobin you know they will always say that they don't read the press or whatever it is never coach says that. But you know it's not true You know that they get angry but at all these little things but this has to be one of the most satisfying starts to a season. Like you know you get crushed For drafting Chase over panay sewell. I did a lot of the crushing there. in you know sue turns out to be middling so far as a player but you know could end up. Developing jamar chases the most exciting rookie receiver. We've seen since odell beckham ever insists your mark chase can't catch and training camp and it's all over and he's just phenomenal and everyone says they're going to be in last place in there just playing really well so i i think this is a totally satisfying kudos. Bengals have your moment in the very bottom section of this podcast and a quick note on the lines before we move on strong words from dan. Campbell about jared goff and you could tell he looked down. There was a long pause several seconds and he thought about it and then he decided to go there. He said y- it's it's too early to totally evaluate him but then the long pause came and he said but we need to do more. He needs to shoulder more of the burden of this team. He needs to do more to get us to try to win a game. I like that he was honest. It was very refreshing. Dan campbell is winning. Press conferences at an alarming rate in. You're right with theatrical. Pause was just. Chef's kiss beautiful. Don't been jaguar all right. We go to london another not real gem for our friends overseas there. Trevor lawrence was played playing this one and that That went really well. And the jaguars get on. The board here I win for trevor lawrence And a lot of jaguars players and urban meyer also was a part of this At least nominally the one thing. That's kind of wild here. For the jaguars is i didn't realize this. I'm sure this stack got thrown around a ton. And i didn't it but they had not kicked a field goal this season before this game which is just insane to me and then they ended up matthew right. This sort of st free agent kicker comes in and goes three for three including two fifty plus in the final minutes Including the fifty three yarder as time expired to win it so exciting times here for the jaguars i mean. It was a really entertaining game. Gary so it wasn't the worst product for our friends in london but yeah i thought it was eliminating. Nfl now showed the in camera locker room. And everyone rallied around. When one of the players gave trevor lawrence his game ball for his first win of many and then urban meyer spoke and you could just see the energy in the room lag. It was. I don't know it seems notable your because there wasn't like we've seen a lot of coat like I was thinking of when the jets. One Two weeks ago and watching robert sala on the sideline right like he grabbed a security guard and hugged him and lifted him up in everybody's around him and freaking out an urban meyer like he bent. He bent his complete like top half of his body forward like he had injured himself in a game of pick up basketball and then just like trudge to the middle of the field in like it wasn't leg. Alex tussle the all ball coaches hair. Was like all right. You know you're gonna you're gonna be here. And so i guess congratulations does. He shouldn't embraced his new stick and he should have a red challenge flag to celebrate every good thing that happens to left. He shouldn't Flight oh oh man. Connor man a lot. A lot to read into their is for the dolphins. They have a bye week and they have a lot to think about. It's been really a disappointing start for a team. That people thought was maybe ready to take the next step in oddly though the weird thing about this dolphins team in this game for the dolphins in particular was probably the best tuitonga vilo looked in a long time right He had one really bad interception but they were able to pull off perhaps because it was the jaguars. And you know they're running this like pseudo. Nfl scheme they were able to pull off a lot of the rpo's lot of the crossers lot of the stuff that too can hit with regularity and has always hit with regularity out of alabama and you saw him get comfortable You know he had the full velocity on some of his balls. And so i mean he looked good For large sections of this game. And so it's like okay. What does this mean is this justice. Flash in the pan thing is going to build over the next few weeks and at least show the dolphins fans that there is still. Like a flicker left in this rebuild or is this just because it was the jaguars. The jaguars are not The jaguars should be two for. One in friends relegated But they won't be and you know. This is just a bad team playing against interesting connor. i had a little bit of a different read onto. I thought there were chances in where i wanted him to do. More and i wanted him to put the game away and sustain the drives or not settled for the field goal. Or whatever the case maybe certainly. There were some coaching decisions. That were strange. You know taking a shotgun snap on fourth and to and You know it. Also he's coming back from his rib injury so you don't want to make too many judgments off of his first game back but i think all the skepticism about to a is still there. At least. I don't think he's done anything to extinguish it at this point. It was a very quarterback friendly game here. A lot of lot of throwing in traditional rundown and distanced situations lots of along the rpo stuff. A lot of play-acting that involve deep drops. Which i think they need to do more with him. but especially with the jaguars. Just cameras passer. It kind of turns it into like seven on seven football as much as you can get in the nfl and these throws the the ones that are going to the right place. they're sort of. He's in wide open spaces. There throws that every. Nfl quarterback should be making. And that's and that's it. And i mean you know. I don't want to take away from him. But the thing that will i mean look i think it's something. He can overcome not only pressure but even just a threat of pressure even just blitzer that he's seeing on the corner of his eye. It just all falls apart. It's completely erratic. It's just total meltdown. I mean he. He had along the interception. He had another throw areas like escaping left and he had two receivers just sort of wide open right in front of him and he just sorta airmail. They inches a bizarre again. I don't wanna dig down to on one. Throw because your end up coming to like josh allen twenty eighteen type of conclusions about a guy early in his career but It still just the same problem. And i also wanna take this opportunity to point out that jacoby percent actually had the most impressive of the game which is on a fourth in short play actually which he hit tokyo hit.

"These moments where it's almost like prescott on on sunday against the patriots where you need x. amount of yards. And he's going to get it and granted he has arguably the best receiver tandem in the league or one of two or three best receiver tenants in the league. Susan say that in a good running game you should say that it should be possible. But we've seen other quarterbacks with the same skill set in the same talent relatively speaking that cannot get that twenty to thirty yards to get the team in the field goal range and he does this despite knowing the fact that regardless of what happens the vikings going gonna miss the field goal at the end of the game in break. Her cousins autocrat. I think it's a. It's a phenomenal thing. It's also one of those things. Where if the quarterback can do it under this circumstance. What do you need to do to replicate that and other aspects of the game particularly. Should you be more aggressively calling things in other parts of the game I mean you know you hear it a lot and i think there is something about that situation at the end of the game. Hurry up and the adrenaline pumping and you just kinda have to do it. And not think as much there a number of factors that can result in a quarterback being able to make throws and gain yardage in that situation versus other situations than the game. But maybe they're being too conservative in play calling in other drives. That are not this high pressure cooker situation. I think there is something very Very acute about that observation right there and this will this will transition nicely into our next game. But i do want to point out. They had a so they they were protecting a lead they up eight. There were Three minutes left. They were facing a third and eight at the panthers thirty three if they got a first down. The game was basically sealed and they ran the ball. And i know jason garrett did not make a guest plague all because he was over in east rutherford time. I know that for sure but it was just. It was so me. Dow mccook lost three yards on the run. But it was just kind of like. Oh my god you could've you could just thrown first down and pick up the first down and ended the game but they sort of did the run then punt and sam darnold and his defense Ended up getting a long drive to join conversion and and this went to overtime instead. But yeah maybe maybe kirk. Cousins is young worthy of having a little more on his plate at this point in to counter that though gary right there was a third in four where he threw that sort of sidelined back like through like almost a deep sideline shoulder back fade to To adam dealin and then they miss that subsequent field goal In so maybe that was mike. Zimmer's wave saying. Like i give you one of those a game and then you're never allowed you again. You don't pick up the first down. He seems like one of those like Coaches that kind of has these like fun hardened fast parent rules like you get one and then. That's it brands. John's so the rams won this game handily And we've we've said a lot of nice things about the rams over Over the course of the season. And i'm sure we'll continue to do so but we're gonna focus mostly on the giants year and Look you guys know the organization better than me But what are we looking at right now. Because danny jones look shaking this one But he has had an excellent season. So far i think you would be very bullish on his future. Based on what he's done in two thousand twenty one and yet this team is not good at football. And i'm not sure what exactly they they plan on doing as a solution at this point. It's a great question right in. What what can you do My suggestion was it's it's a difficult task right but it's it's to ask dave gettleman to do the selfless thing again. Dave gettleman during the drafted one of the most selfless things. We've ever seen an executive do and that's trading back in the first round to get a future pick that you might not even be the acting general manager of to us and so i think you need to ask him to trade some of these players at the dayton deadline. Like i think you're one in five Joe judge a one of the players said afterwards that halftime joe judge told them all that their roster spots were not guaranteed and so. I'm not saying that he's intimating. There's going to be some sort of trade deadline purge but like he's clearly lost this locker room to some degree In so you either. You have to assume that like either you're going to blow this whole thing up or joe needs more help than he has. Now either way you're gonna need picks. And i don't know i just don't see jason garrett unlocking saquon markley if he's healthy enough to get moved by the trade deadline i would move him as an ingram is a guy like it's just went for fifth round. Pick probably move evan. Ingram at this point You know. I don't know i. I think you do something like that to shake things up a little bit route. There is really no better way to build morale for the second half than to tell the players at halftime. You lose your job. That's just a really interesting leadership style. Which kind of brings me. What i was about to say. Is i think you have to look at the coaching staff. And unfortunately the giants have cycled through head coaches rapidly. And i don't get the sense. That ownership wants to be a team that is now known for cycling through head coaches rapidly but when daniel jones has done what you've asked and has put himself in a position to lead the team to what could be a better points and yet that's not happening and there's issues on in all phases right. A lot of that blame should go onto the coaching staff. And so what do you do you know. Do you look to make a change yet again. What are you doing differently in this hiring process that has failed you in the last few. I don't know the right answer. But the giants keep trying to reclaim what they were in. Two thousand seven and twenty eleven. And they're just not able to do it so maybe it's trying to do things a totally different way for a minute. I thought you were gonna say. Make daniel jones. Also the head coach. I said yes do things in different way but no i. I completely agree because we've seen this in. It's so obvious. And they deny time in and time out but you know everything seems to be an effort to sticking to the past. You know the higher of The higher of joe judge was clearly played on the giants fans deep wolf and love of tom. Coughlin and bill parcells that hard. That hard dude. Who's gonna come in and be mean to everybody and for some reason giants fans just love that they love that aesthetic. They love that feel but it doesn't work anymore. It really like. I was talking to someone about this recently. If joe judge fails he's the last tough-guy head coach. I think that's ever hired in in the nfl. Like until i mean. Cyclically everything comes around so thirty years from now like it'll be a fun thing again. Evidence of what about dan. Campbell didn't campbell's like crying at owed like he's a tough guy by virtue but he's not afraid to you. Know be honest and open and you know kind of sheriffs feelings on everything. Joe judge i think is the last tough guy tough guy that is ever going to be hired in if this fails spectacularly which it looks like. It's on twitter. Doing i think it has to force the giants to rethink their process. Now you could argue that. They almost did. They didn't want to go all the way down the aisle with matt rule but they were close to doing that In maybe this is a lesson for them to stop. You know kind.

"This different kind of way of playing football and so his decision to do that. I think was a reflection of that that they know that that is important. Like that's a badge of honor and the the streak did have meeting for the team at boomer on the broncos on the broncos side see teddy bridgewater go down there and just evidence kind of how how clear of the favourite. He was over drew. Lock in the summer and just their inability to get an offense going there And bridgewater going into this game. If you look at expected points added was playing arguably the best football in the nfl and sell a little. Bit of a bummer. To see the broncos derailed in that way but to your point guys. Lamar jackson looks as good as we've seen him all year and the streak is intact I'm not gonna lie. You instantly changed my take on it as you have the ability to do from time to time because i'm sitting there on the tv. And i was like what a jerk thing to do. But now i'm like but banal. Mike doesn't really it doesn't really matter. It's what you think about yourself. So what anybody else. Good life lesson. I suppose lewis. I was gonna say we learn valuable lessons on this podcast. Every week. The bears bounced back nicely after last week's disaster justin field gets his first win as a starter. Twenty two four twenty four to fourteen over the lines at home. I mean it's a game they should It's a game where they got a lead. They you know it boy. The the lions brought it inside the bears ten yard line three times and ended up going. Fumble turtle rundowns fumble. So that was the kind of day it was so the bears got to play the lead and they ran the ball a lot. I know if there was necessarily anything you'd see in this one murray you'd say boy yes. They feared out with justin. Fields is what we know the line so and have a pass rush. Nothing like the browns have That's by long way of saying we probably didn't learn a lot but it was good news for them. Yeah it was nice To for matt negative. Get that one office back. Even though he still won't admit who's calling the place which is an amazing developments in chicago and I love every minute of this clear discomfort because clearly. If you were calling the plays you would. Just say yeah. I'm calling the place but now you cut it. Go through this extra circuitous. Move of saying that i approve the place which is like a very fascinating development and doesn't seem to be Something that you would want to do to expedite playcalling process in the nfl You know like you get the play. Call the headset man. You have to go approve. You know before it goes into into fruition but The bears are going to bear. Send just fields is to shake it off..

"Control the clock and all that but Yeah i don't know it. It was They they got to the end of overtime they were set up for a game tying kick at the time probably would have resulted in a tie game result but Randy bullock misses from forty nine way wide to the left and That was the that was the moment. Randy bullock became a titans. Kicker michael badgley. Get on the harp. I i i'm just saying you gotta be patiently your kickers you gotta you gotta give them a chance. But but not randy bullock. Only michael badgley. All right it is time for the lightning is round. We are going to start this one with the chiefs traveling to philadelphia where they They know they still have some issues. Defensively i think. But i don't know i really don't think this team's outlook has changed significantly From what they we thought they were preseason. This is a forty two thirty victory on the road in philadelphia. And that's That's that yeah. I think that's right. Gary but definitely still some stuff to sort out on defense. This was a good game for them to sorta get back on track a little bit after some surprising losses in the first three weeks of the season and it was an ice homecoming for andy reid to win at the team that once fired him so all of those things to get a little bit more. Good vibes after a bumpy. Start to the air. Yeah into with philadelphia. I do think that jalen hurts is not playing horribly. I think this was a bad team and we thought they were bad. Going in but in a promising sense you know outside of the atlanta win. That gave us a little bit of false hope. Jalen hurts in devante smith or playing pretty well and so what else do you want. I mean putting up some points and they're hanging in these game certainly. I mean it was within striking distance for much of the game. I think if you're jeffrey lori and you don't have delusions of grandeur at this point. I think this was a nice outing just to see the team somewhat competitive and it probably leads you to believe that i you know you probably do come out of the season thinking. That jalen hurts by your guide. Moving forward the ravens go out to denver twenty three seven victory. This was look for all the injury issues. the raymond's have had and the fact that they have really squeaked out there last two wins. Maybe they stole one from the chiefs on a sunday night. they certainly probably stole one in detroit alliance. That isn't very good last week. With the justin tucker field goal but this was fairly dominant victory out in denver. And maybe the broncos were not world-beater despite the three zero record and they did lose teddy bridgewater to a concussion in the first half of this one but this race events kinda just controlled this game Throughout and. I don't know this this ravens team. I guess they're just somebody said for. I don't know. Did you chuck it up to. Just you know a coaching staff. That basically knows how to solve problems. Is it a culture thing where you just win ten games every year so it doesn't matter who you running out there or you know they just they. They were incredibly impressive in this one. Yeah and i really loved that. John harbaugh had them run that final play to keep their streak of one hundred rushing games alive. Because i think that just shows that that is important to this team. It's part of their identity. It's part of the way they win games. And that's why they've been successful with lamar jackson because they were willing to go all in on this different kind of offense..

"Go out to santa clara where the seahawks get A much needed win here in san francisco although they catch a couple breaks in this one. We'll get into that but Seattle wins twenty eight twenty one over the forty niners. And let's start with trae lance actually so gene garoppolo suffered a calf injury does not come back out after the second half. He was deemed questionable but did not did not take another snap in this game. A trailer basically got a a full half of football here. It was it was. I had expectations that he might be a little more polished more ready than people expect but he did look incredibly raw not terribly comfortable on the stuff that wasn't really highly schemed to To to basically allow him to to make easier throws in. yeah. I don't know it just looked like a guy who probably hasn't taken a lot of practice. Reps in wasn't quite prepared for the speed of an nfl regular season game. Yeah it's just one of those things that they want to sit trae lance. They want to take the time to develop him because he's raw but they also drafted him in large part because jimmy garoppolo has missed a lot of games with injury and so here. An injury comes up in the first month of the season and lances put into the game earlier than they wanted to. Even your best plans to develop a rookie quarterback can easily go awry. And i thought the same as you. Gary there were some throws that were a little bit high. Some throws that were off target. Obviously he has tremendous ability to run. And you know extend plays and we'd seen that in the trae land package but clearly. The offense stalled a little bit and it was a big swing in the seahawks favor when trae lance came in at halftime. I mean not to say that garoppolo was perfect in the first half. But you have a rookie quarterback portioned into action a little bit earlier than the team wants. That's obviously going to be in favor of the opponent i was. I was disappointed. This coming from a guy who admittedly wrote that even if trae landslide played a few series every week he was going to jail. Change the nfl. So guilty as charged Bad job by connor during the preseason a column writing someone should take the keyboard away from.

"I thought it was interesting. It's like it. It's the realization of what we'd seen for most of the year. Daniel jones playing like one of the ten best quarterbacks in the nfl you really is developing into a good player. Kenny golladay when we saw him screaming on the sidelines in washington. A few weeks ago wasn't yelling. At daniel jones yelling jason garrett in own i think all the frustration was directed towards the offensive coordinator it slowly and surely he starting to allow some of these like little moments bleed into the game plan to saquon barkley. Long reception was obviously one where you know. He took some player input. That was that was long gain. That sake wanted told him. They're covering me this way. You know there's going to be a soft spot in the defense you go back to that shot later in the game. I think he's moving him around a little bit more and he's allowing daniel jones kenny golladay to develop that that trust in bonn which is this is why you paid for him in the first place. He's the best contested catch receiver in the nfl. You're just allowing the two of them to establish a report darius. Tony finally got the ball and can put in a sensible way You know not like a jet sweep that was you know just doomed from the beginning and was gonna get blasted at yards behind the line like you know. Now you're starting to roll little bit momentum. Wise in as unhappy as people ben with jason garrett this is probably the game that gets people off of his back a little bit. And i have to say in the last segment. When connor said the team he picked to win. The nfc east is out of it. I mean hey. Maybe they're not. We just talked about how good the cowboys are. And of course they're taking me in that division. But i thought this was really encouraging step for the giants because all of the good things that we'd seen daniel jones the first three weeks of the season that weren't being fully utilized and t. The team wasn't turning those into wins and it just felt like the progress that jones had made was being put to waste. Today was different and there was a quality win against the saints. So who knows. Maybe they just needed a couple of weeks for things to come together. I think this could be an interesting division race if i can pull the curtain back in a way that nobody cares about for just a moment. I are are other mitch's out this week. So i was sort of feeling. Connors pitches for of game day columns and we were talking basically giants funeral midway through the third quarter as they had the ball in their own territory trailing by eleven and and i think right after that exchange we had the the saquon barkley long touch about which which again it's like it's a blown coverage it's a blown zone coverage by the saints but if they know the giants tendencies yeah you're not expecting saquon barkley to actually run further than five yards past line of scrimmage when he's lined up wide i mean that's that's not what they do that that's what they did on display and it ends up in the yard touchdown there yet could area's. Tony was a big factor in this one. But i do to bring up the one thing. We kind of wondered coming into the season can get sort of the maximize daniel jones. Where he's giving you the big plays but also he's not losing four fumbles per game since that week..

"In Foxboro against the Miami Dolphins, and it'll be the team debut for a lot of players after the Pat spent a record amount of money in free agency this offseason. "He can go back to being a 20-goal player who releases, you know, fixes that hot and cold play that he has that he can really Elevate deadline. That's a hope at least is, you know, getting those easier matchups and kind of just going back to his game with a clean slate. I mean, it would be good for her to brush when he raises his value back up. So he's due for a new contract and a dog. To the Bruins cuz they need to finish on that third line. But whether it be him or you know, I don't think this seems relying on, you know, the the youth movement as much as last year, which clearly backfired when you look at how much they suck. But, you know, the the whole Bond, those younger defensemen, but you look at, you know, gallic maybe Lyle who who pushes in that he could be a pleasant surprise, you know, you look at Frederick who I think to be have, you know, a feature role in that fourth line, that's going to be pretty revamped. And again, we know kind of what Frederick's bread and butter is, but if he still has, you know, three goals and one assist, you know, three months into the season, you know, that's not going to be enough, you know, it seems can tune you out if you're just trying to chirp them and get under their skin, but they tend to know receives your burying goals and a full-time job roles. So, you know, he doesn't have to be this 25-point guy. But if he ends a year with eighty-something games played and ten goals and seven assists like that's all you need out of a 4th Line guy. That's productive job. Right. So, I think he's looking at a key year for him said, Nico could be in the mix. Don't really know what his set rolling. The line up is right now, you know, maybe he gave her the opportunity given to him. If he's got, you know, a scenario where, you know, whether it's coil and the vacancy there, or he finds another role in the third life. Like this. This should be a spot for him. But he needs to bring it in Camp. So far, people seem to be raving about how he's looks so far down at Foxboro. He's gained a lot of weight, but I do this every year, every sport, spring training, guys are in the best shape of their lives. You need to show any Camp you show it during an actual game setting. So again, I don't think there's reliant on the youth movement as they are in years. Which is why they signed a bunch of Veteran, guys and free agency, but you still need the guys that are either pleasant surprises or guys that bounce back with dead. Just playing. What, what? We know they can be we don't need the rust to be a 35 goal guy. But if he's 20 goals, and it's more consistent and it's for tracking, that's what you needed. A third line, and He's Just Not Invisible. Like that's, I think it's just need him to be effective. And, and again, like there were so many times last year where a game would end, and I'd be like to depress play, like, he's in the lineup..

Mac Jones Sought Advice From Cam Newton Before Patriots Debut

"Of 19 passes for 87 yards in his preseason debut in Foxboro against Washington. The quarterback was smooth, efficient and appeared confident he was a pro who didn't look at all out of place. In his first NFL action. Jones is competing with veteran Cam Newton for the starting job, Newton said the to talk before the game about Jones expectations. Every young quarterback goes. Through it. The excitement, the anticipation. You know, he wants to be so perfect, and I see his preparation is always, you know, pristine and you know, that's what I admire about him at such a young age. He knows how to prepare and knows when Josh asked quick questions or when the person asked quick questions. He knows how to kind of have answers for it. Newton added. Every player's learning curve is different, but he's just going to keep getting better. And you know we're going to be here for each other along this whole process, and you know, that's what we're here for. Bats will continue their preseason Thursday night

"We saw a very heavy passing day out there today. I would say, after a very heavy run day on day 1 of pads on Tuesday, the Patriots were back in shorts and shells on Wednesday. They'll be in pads again on Thursday, or supposed to get a lot of rain in the Foxboro area on Thursday. So it's definitely going to be a run-heavy session. You would think again tomorrow, but it will be interesting to see in the rain, how both quarterbacks, throw the football and inclement weather. When they do get us to pass it, but I wanted to start with Kim and Mac Jones, because I thought Josh McDaniels his comments after practice for pretty interesting about the two QBs. We can get into that a little bit, but just what happens. There on the field today. Bill Belichick's spoke last week about consistency, right? And how important distance he is at the quarterback position. And how that I think is going to be, may be one of the biggest sort of barometers, when they they do make this decision officially. Now, I guess we shouldn't say officially cuz he keeps on saying Cam's the quarterback. So if they are going to give me a chance to be the star, you can say when he makes the week, one decision. Sure. All right, let's go with that. I like that when he makes the week 1 to sit in, right? Cuz him saying cam is the starting quarterback? I think we do. We talked about this before. Yeah, referring to the day. He was asked that question right? There was a game today. First of all, that would be ludicrous because it's early August and you don't play NFL football in early August when he says, well I'm sorry to just cut you off but I saw so many people just kind of running with this and it was bugging me. If you ask, Bill Belichick, who was the starting quarterback? He is going to tell you who these starting quarterback is dead. Moment in time. So Cam Newton is the starting quarterback right now. There is still a decision to be made though, for week one, that is still up in the air on a racially. And Josh, McDaniels is comments today. Basically keeps saying at some point in time. In the next couple of weeks Belichick is going have to make a decision right of which direction, we're going to go in an offense..

Were down eleven players. Were on the road or on the turf at foxboro. We're traveling the same day as the game number of number of excuses. I think all of them vowed so no hit the panic button. Folks were already saw some folks on twitter. Kind of getting a little boy. Nc just for for your mental health for my mental health for the show. Just just you know sucking all pop. Just calm down. Think about the flowers. It's fine don't worry about it. It's definitely not no time to panic. i think i think when you i i think i put a put a joke. Tweet out After the win on against new york where. I think it's from arrested development where the guy says. I made a terrible mistake and that's the response to lake after this win house. Lozada feel now that. He's kind of like elevated expectations of this team after after watching the game and and and showing the new. I i don't know i don't know if dc necessarily played any different than they did against york. I think it was a rather similar game plan. They crash crash the middle. Try to. They seceded a lot of possession. They actually finished with more possession than new england and the game. It was like fifty forty seven. So i think that had to do with them kind of chasing the game. A little bit I will. I will shout out. Defensively this team. I think has shown to be a lot more solid defensively than i think. We were anticipating And that's with the injuries Tonio varo i think we all were kind of rolling her eyes. Like oh my god. It's like a panic decision. has been more than solid. He has been a very very solid piece in team. Had some great Plays on the defensive side of the ball Burn like obviously has. The goal has the uncle this time. Unfortunately scoring brennan stops unfortunate unfortunate mistake on the goal. Brilliant was good. I think defensively. And let's be clear. This team held Gil bosca and gosh. I'm blanking on the other guy's name like the other big attacking player that they have that. But it's a good attack that that new england had this is a good good team and they show them all out They finished both teams finished with a point. Three goals the yes. I guess new england had the better of the chances quote unquote but they were not great. They were not like great chances. That you really that you really shut up defensively. This team has shown that they can keep themselves in games. And when you're down eleven players and you have an ability to do that. You know that that that can buy you some some real estate. Where if you're huddling in that mid pack and you kinda put it together offensively suddenly. You've got something That that can start to make one of those famed runs towards the end of the year..

"Let's go to Roger in Foxboro, a little closer to home. Hey, Roger, Welcome you're on with Professor Greg Stahler Boss University School of Business Dollar Good. Glad to speak here. Thank you. Roger for calling in. You know, I just wanted to frame my question by saying about Jack. Ma. What got him in trouble. He was the head of Alibaba, which is bigger than Amazon. And he wanted to set up a bank. This Aunt group and they were they were about to do the biggest Typo in the world ever. I guess it was. That's what I heard. Um, But he said that the Chinese run banking system is basically most mostly just lending money to people who are failing corporations and businesses. And there's very little lending being done the entrepreneurial people because they don't have a concept of what's going on. You know, and that got me in big trouble because it's the C C. C P who runs the Chinese banking system. Hello. So I'm just listening. I'm just listening. I think I think he's the statements is the question is in the form of the statement. Can you reacted to the question that but the frame the question with that about About him, saying that the system was so he's disappeared there. He was, like one of the richest men in the world, and he's just gone off the grid. Totally since I think in November Nobody's heard from him. Um Basically, China has the same problems we have We built up this big Ponzi scheme. We're just trying to keep everything running and we need growth. You know, we have immigrants to keep us going. But what China had to keep them going, Most their populations over 40. There's 40 million more men than there are women under 40. That's 40 million guys Never have a date, uh, could be trouble. Yeah, lots of information about what's your question? We have a lot more common with them than we thought. You know, there were our system and there's a basically a big Ponzi scheme. And I'm wondering what's going to keep their Ponzi scheme going because we have a population growth. We have immigrants and fresh blood coming in and okay, something knew what was going to give them something new In the long run, you know, with everything they have. Like I say, Subsidizing all these failing industries is eventually gonna collapse on them. And their population is getting older. And eventually I think we've heard three or four questions. Give Professor Stahler a chance. Okay. I love you. Let me go in reverse. If you don't mind, Roger on a I think to the Chinese government's credit in 2015. They announced the end of their one child policy. They realized that they would have a dress of people that would not be able to make up for future growth of the country. So I think they're working on that. On not necessarily sure that I would use the word Ponzi scheme. I think that a lot of banking systems initially work well domestically and then over time they experiment by expanding internationally, but I think that it's just the nature of how you do deal. I mean, there are a number Massachusetts banks that made extremely good money lending Massachusetts and then they decided to go out of state in an effort to build their book. I'm not sure I'd call that a plane to Boston and South America back in the seventies and eighties like, but I wouldn't call it a Ponzi scheme. I would call that I would call that business development and realizing 100% of what you do about their economy. And then you know you're a really smart guy. You've given us a lot of you. But once you allowed Professor Staller, who's also a pretty smart guy, Okay, just comments. Would you mind? I mean, all all I'm saying is that I think whatever country you operate in, you have to follow the rules of engagement. It's just and I could give you, uh, hundreds of examples. If you're in country acts, you shouldn't do a B and C if you're in country why you shouldn't do be enough. I mean, I think that Jack. Ma probably got a little bit out of his lane, and I think that whether you agree with him or disagree with him, it's just not appropriate to be insulting the Chinese government. And I think that that is their way of saying, you know, don't get too big for your britches. We have any idea if this guy's still alive? I mean he's not been seen since November. What's What? What? What are the odds on him? Still taking oxygen? I am not gonna comment, as I said earlier on U. S policies, and I'm certainly not qualified to comment on Chinese policy. But ah, lot of these people are sent away temporarily on basically or told that you know this is certainly not a slap on the wrist. It is a little bit more serious than there. But I don't think that what he has done again. I don't want to upset the Chinese government. But I think this is their way off. Keeping him honest, I think is the most politically correct thing to say. But I would I would be surprised if he was executed. What? Okay, Well, that's that's good news for me. Do you ever use China Mining as a reference site toe look up things about China and their business. Uh, I what I do is I have been fortunate enough in my study of Chinese to be able to read and write. So I tend to divide my research into English language sources as well as Chinese language sources. And that's how I tend to do a lot of my research. But I'm not really tethered to a single website. I just don't Thank you Believe everything you read online? Yeah. Yeah, I was just wondering. I have trouble getting they cut back on the English language version of China Mining. It's tough to get her or anything up to date on. It was really great seeing you, Chinese. Roger. Take it easy. Thanks very much for your call. Appreciate it did. And Quincy. Then you're next on nice side with Professor Greg Stahler of Boston University. School of business. Go ahead, Dan. Yeah, I didn't. Um, Dr. Stolen. Um, since we've been doing business with China in recent decades, and I know they feed into North Korea, are you able? Can you do this? Okay. Now what? Your power and all your influence. Can you get in touch with right Chinese people so they can free like all the political uh, you people keep people held in jails over there, so that way they they could come to America. You know what I'm saying? You know? I think that would even be beyond Dr Stoller's a ability, Dan Okay? Yeah. I mean, if Dennis Rodman can't do it, I don't see how Dr Stall it can do it. But we appreciate the suggestion, okay? All right, then have a creative, but, uh, I never would have expected that since we have touched on North Korea real quick, Right? And again. I don't wanna get you in the politics of this, but, um How do you think, uh, China is going to watch? Obviously, the trump approach to North Korea was very different. Very different. Um, I'm assuming the China would not expect the Biden administration to mirror the trump approach. Correct. I believe that they are. I don't think anybody knows what to expect. I will tell you that There was a recent report that I read in an English language weekly publication, uh, that the North Korean leader Did not give his annual New year's Day address on people are speculating as to why that was. Maybe she is saving it for their upcoming Congress. Because, like a lot of the Asian countries, they tend to have a multi year Congress. That doesn't happen every year. But every few years there also speculating that perhaps there was just not good news to share. In light of covert and everything else, but that is, you know, add that to the list Dan in terms of international challenges that the Biden administration is going after dealer..

And I'm sure that a guy like Cam new knowing that this is potentially his last shot to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.
