P, But they go out in the playoffs, and they get absolutely steamrolled by the by the Winnipeg Jets. Sure, somebody's going to tackle him in the corner. Nobody's going to call a penalty and it's going to be some do fiscal place on the fourth line for Winnipeg. That's going to score against them, and that's gonna be it. And then his team is going to be out of the playoffs in the first round. He's going to be like, you know, we just have to try harder and dig and he's going to say the same stuff every year, but it doesn't matter. So like I'm like, Yes, you can go off and go to a different spot. But I'm warning you. The league doesn't want you Jack Eichel to succeed. That's not how they've built it, not for you to reach the playoffs and blossom. That's not what happens. "Lynn Ali with you getting You said for lighting and Canadians Game two tonight of the Stanley Cup final matchup is going to drop in about 15 minutes. Defensively, the lightning so solid in these playoffs, particularly on the back end, They are only giving up two goals per game, and John Cooper was asked yesterday what has changed from that group over the last couple of years. To be honest, we've probably simplified our game. We've tried to take some of the risk out of our game. I'll admit I was right in it. Probably Partially the architect of some of the, uh, the risk and and the greatest show on ice attitude we had about trying to score goals and as many as we could, and, um, when we pull back the reins here, Deke or first of all, we limited You know some of the risks that we've put in their game, But we really focused on the defensive side of the park and then moving out instead of maybe having more of an offensive minded side and then relying on your goalie to make all the stops, But our players have really that they've really grown together. I guess that's one of the big things and the emergence of Sergei Chaban. Having the vets of Hedman and Mac, and then you know, journey and it's just it's It's a great group, but they will defend first, and that's the mentality they've taken as opposed to having the offensive side first, and I think that's really helped. They have, and it's been impressive to watch the back end and really the buy in from the forward as well being really good Defensive again. Alex Corn out Matthew, Joseph and Joseph is going to start on the fourth line. It looks like with Tyler Johnson being bumped to the second line. Luke Richardson is behind the bench for the Canadians. He spoke to the media earlier today. Let's go to that interview on lining radio. Thank you. Hello. Look, what do you want to see from your players tonight? Well, I think we've got to play, uh, more respectful game to our our systems like managing that puck playing 200. Ft. And our battle levels got to be and compete levels just going to rise, and I'm sure it will. I think it has in every series, and I know the guys are eager to get back and play a better game tonight. So you know, I think just those three things alone are going to give us a better chance in this game tonight and in the series. There's a certain Confidence in maintaining what you've been doing and the world got you to this point versus the need for adjustments at some point Um, tonight has is there Is there a high enough level of urgency where you need to consider Have a plan B. I guess if the game's not going your way early on Yeah, I think a problem. We'll make those adjustments during the game. I think we've got to give ourselves a chance by playing the right way and managing that puck first to see how our systems will work. We last game we really got off of our game plan and, uh, gave them easy pox. Which led to the first three goals and we had a miscue on a face off alignment on the fourth goal, So you know they're a good team. They you know, It's not that we gave them and they didn't do anything. They definitely capitalized on a mistake, so limiting our mistakes is going to be huge and let let our game plan. Work better, and from there, we'll always make adjustments in between periods and even on the bench during periods. If we have to Luke, I know the lighting's top line with point gets a lot of attention. Deservedly so for their production of playoffs. I was curious what your Also on the board line that board Coleman and Boudreau and kind of challenges do they present it Seems like they play them gets pretty much anybody on these playoffs. I suppose your impression with them? Yeah, I know. There are deep team for sure. You know, you got to respect all four other lines in there, Deke, or their great obviously a great goaltenders. So You can't say enough about the lineup. They put together their good It's going to be a huge challenge. But yeah, the guard line is It's got a little bit of everything they got. You know some feistiness and nastiness to their game, which is great in playoff type hockey, and and we've got to just counter that and match that discipline, but but hard hardness wise and you know they can score. If you make a mistake like we did in the second period, they show that they can turn that into a goal. Just like the point line, So we've got to be careful. Any time and aware, alert and aware. Every time we were on the ice, it doesn't matter who they have on the ice because all four lines can make you pay. All right. That's Luke Richardson behind the bench for Montreal tonight. "This, You know, Jared Bernard said the other day like it's not just the top line of the Vegas Golden Knights that's playing so well. So will there be that much of a difference? If the AVS end up top line ends up going up against the second line. Are they going to have to go? Deep are they going to have to throw The top line out there a little bit quicker. To get them against the third or fourth line. Of the Vegas Golden Knights. The matchups tonight are going to be very interesting for all the talk we've had about. Getting the right lineups out there. And putting the top line and more advantageous decisions. Will certainly be watching and seeing. Which Vegas line that top line of the ABS goes against. I mentioned this yesterday. Maybe we're overthinking this. Maybe this is just going to be a series where each team is going to take care of home ice. For all the advantages that being at home gives you whether it's the crowd, whether it's the officiating, whether it's having the last change. Maybe that's what it's in a in a series that is so evenly matched. Maybe that's just what is going to come down to And that's part of what the Arabs were fighting for. That's part of what they were fighting for during the season. It's why they wanted the president's trophy. Do they care about the actual piece of hardware? More than what opportunities it gives you by being the president's trophy? Where? No, it's not as much about the hardware. As what comes with it, and that is home ice. They had to win the president's trophy. To get home ice for this series. That's just what happened. If they didn't do it. Vegas was going to be the president's trophy winner. So they wanted the president's trophy for this reason, And maybe that's what this series comes down to. Absolute tonight. Vegas wins Game six Game seven on Saturday, Uh, the Avalanche take care of business and it's onward to the Montreal Canadians. By the way, swept Winnipeg last night. Like the Bruins, what their strengths to land punches against a team like the capitals on the ice in terms of you know, the X's and O's and it is the Penguins. Now, Penguins may not be nearly as big but you look at just the way the Capitals defense is, you look at how Scholl they are on defense, how the Bruins right now especially up front, all of a sudden have all this speed in their line-up. I mean they've God Top six is the top six even though Richie Crowley coiler the physical track and wine, those guys can move, you know, really Sean Crowley is, you know, a very good skater and events or fourth line. Now. It might depend on the match of, you know, do you want to roll out debrusk and kacchan? The 4th Line? Or is that one we go with Lazar with Frederick and Wagner so that, that can change a little bit in terms of the max but you look at the, the, the defense of the capitals have. I mean, the Bruins average close to three, three point six goals per game, against the capitals. The only team that scored more goals against against Atlantic division. Foes our East Division, foes was the same Choice which makes sense, not surprising, but the fact that, yeah, the fact that, you know, Washington who has a slow defense who do not really have to lead goalies in that, which, I mean, I think the biggest equalizer for how much the cap wasn't given the Bruins trouble of these has been because of brain. Hopefully now you've got vanicek and samsonov two guys who don't really ski all that money. Trade. I just look at the matchups and what the Bruins are going to go up against. Yeah, you're going to get knocked around quite a bit but it's

"Daily what was interesting in that first period a couple of times. The Lightning had an opportunity to break bread and point out on a breakaway and they were just off a bit with their passes didn't take advantage of it. The Stars were able to take advantage of a bad pass by the lightning getting the puck out of their own zone, and they took advantage of Ah Rebound from Curtis Macaroni on to Jamie Lexie ex stick, but All in all one, nothing deficit. Not awful for the lightning and maybe what do you think they Build a little bit of momentum, Maybe in that power play opportunity late. The first I think so. I think they had a couple dangerous looks on the power play in the final six minutes, probably of that period. I thought they showed some push back there and some resilience because, like you said, Dallas came out and they played hard. They played probably some of their. This is probably some of the best hockey we're going to see from them because it's it's must win for them to be able to make it to the postseason. So the Lightning expect that and you mentioned some of the players like breaking point. I think he stood out. He looks dangerous. And he draws that penalty by Dickinson and kind of gets the lightning on the power play to get Mo mentum, and that's that's the whole idea is just getting momentum back in your favor, even if you don't score goals, and they created some good chances there and I think moving forward. Likely carry that into the second period. Yeah, You know, I didn't mind the store either because you on route is back in the lineup after missing several games with an injury. Was able to get a shot on goal at 17 2028 from the right point, and then the fourth line. You know, I thought was really good. Right after that shot he had Ross Colton. You had a good shot from a bad angle. And you saw some good cycling by that fourth line. And then shortly after we talked about barbell, a trying to get the puck up two points and that kind of led to some zone time for the stars, But I thought the 1st 56 minutes Letting had some decent zone time and not a surprise that fourth. I was pretty good. Yeah, I agree. The fourth line has.

"Dang at center. That's a fair argument. I don't think he should. I think he just needed to get confidence back. That's something that shook him out of whatever slumpy was in i think he can keep playing the same way. So will the the reason why In they mentioned this in the broadcast today Raise your did is that you know when you're a sinner you're allowed to go. Deep into the defensive zone nato plow through guys that's kinda jamie benn style and how he plays right well as a a winger. When you're in the defensive zone you're mostly up towards the top defenceman you're there to to close off gaps in you know. Probably block a shot in. You're not moving much up there at the top of the defensive zone so in that aspect i think that would you know. Hinder jamie benn. And that's fine. I mean. I think keeping him at center is it is a decent idea like it's obviously worked for him but like putting sagan on the wing is not. That's not gonna help him come back at all. He doesn't play wing ever and he's a great face off guy. Why would you just give up a fifty eight percent faceoff. Winning percentage is he going to be able to do that right off the bat faceoffs. Yes maybe faceoffs. But but the rest of this stuff He's a fantastic skater. When he's fully healthy in that's why you can say like put him on the fourth line for a little bit. Even if you wanna leave bennett center. Put sagan on the fourth line. Give him less ice time and let him skate. And feel it out. But never put it on the wing. That's that was a dumb thing to say. That was dumb. I disagree okay. i digress. Okay so we'll hear me out on this thing we would. You and i don't agree with this but would you take ben and put him on the third line and move down to the fourth line is the fourth line center and let him know that. Been play with the komo.

"Ridiculous it's also frustrating and this goes back to talking about you know everybody being tired and you know all the mistakes that were made in tonight's game you know from a from a structure standpoint with all the all the turnovers all the there wasn't a bunch of there wasn't a lot of skating tonight it was more trying to get the stick on the puck or whatever and i mean he he's bonuses having to play the top three lines all the time yet. That's what you have to do. You can't rule for like we'd like to just because literally our fourth line age align line like not even like oh that server statement now is like that's our age align last year so when we get those three back like i'm excited to see like if we can play for the panthers this well when they're desperate for a win and we don't have a fourth line like i'm excited for what's going to happen when if win if we can get healthy well like jason dickinson could should be on that fourth line. Probably it says the first on the fourth line. He's he's on the line normally on our first line right played forty minutes. It's just frustrating right now with everything that's going on and you know it. I know a lot of people are frustrated with how the stars are playing right now on the fact that we can win games right now. But that's just the story of the season right now is this. We're we're not executing there's injuries left and right to all of our top players. Were asking players to step in. Who shouldn't be asked to step in like robertson. He's our he's been like the lifeblood of the stars offense for the month of march and You know we have people like denis gurianov jamie benn who are not you know not doing anything basically there tonight. We're looking better at least a little bit but it exactly but that that's the problem though. Is it like oh we look good but this happened or good but we're not getting enough executional if we wanna if you wanna make the playoffs when we don't have our top three scores than both of those guys need to be on. They can't just be okay. They have to be great if we want to get to the playoffs when we don't have our first line so that's just what i think if we look back on the season like from the future especially if we don't make the playoffs it's going to be. This was the injury season like and reorder three of your best scoring forwards and your vezina goalie out for the whole season like i read. Remind people of that more like in overall. I know it really..

Could a Jack Eichel Trade Land Him With the Boston Bruins?
"You want to make a safe bet how about you bet every year around this point of the Season where Jack eichel is unhappy with the situation in Buffalo there every year. It's the annual Jack. Eichel is sick of Buffalo story, but probably won't actually get traded. Maybe this is finally the years but Buffalo continues to lose which I don't know why this is a surprise to him at least like just cuz my God what Taylor home exactly like to be I don't know maybe I guess when you're in that moment, you know when you're on that team you think wow, we just got so much better. But in reality you just got a better scoring Winger on one line. Like it's this isn't the NBA where like you acquire a player of Taylor Hall is Cal log. The NBA and it's like why we are a much better team in hockey. It is four lines and you obviously one score is not going to transform whole team. So Jack eichel is reportedly not super pleased with the losing an awful. Oh, I don't blame him that miss that situation looks miserable. So every time this happens the Jack eichel to the Boston Bruins rumors always like to get straightened up baby back wheels turning on that and I I am so here so here for the even though this like will never happen. There's a less than 2% chance. I'll give it a little chance. But but less than 2% chance this ever could actually happen equal to the Bruins, but you you astutely tweeted out Wednesday morning. Give me your best trade package for Jack eichel Chicago which prompted people to give off their best trade packages. Ron Jackson office a lot of compelling offers. I mean hitmon law, this is my favorite go figure Boston gets or Buffalo gets the Evan marinoff skier F boss gets Jacqueline Connor McDavid, and I said, I think the Prof gets more than just McDavid Michael. I think you might get puter off in there too. Well, here's the thing too. I mean Buffalo is in such disorder and disarray that you need not stabilizing presence there someone that's going to bring Authority and stop the shenanigans. So who better than that having that or not graph to correct? What's been going wrong in Buffalo for decades now, you gotta lay down long. That's what he's going to do. Right right down right now. It's a it's a character thing more than talent and that's the team needs so I continually yeah exactly they need a leader. But so that was a great one quart low lands a little does. He know that Evan and Connor are package deal. So that's a no deal in my books. That's fair. That's that's that's a good point. That's always going to send me the Buffalo wage. "Them and the lightning. I'm sure they're playing, you know, uncharacteristic toe what their standard is. Like the fourth line for the Lightning has really generated some pretty good offense throughout the game. Maroon making Something's happened. Good to see Volkoff get another goal. Kaylie and Jemele Smith being pretty solid, promised and face having problems containing the Panthers first line, But what do you make of Those two lines so far. Yeah, I mean, the first line like you said, for the Panthers has been really dangerous and continues to give the lightning a hard time. But I really like the fourth line. They've been consistent. I think those players have been really consistent. And, um, you know, throughout the season and obviously throwing Jemele Smith, and he's just continuing to build off an impressive first game that he had against the Panthers on Saturday. I think you know they give you some energy and they're playing well. I like the confidence that Volkoff is playing with us Well, but I think you know the Panthers. They're doing a pretty good job King in on breaking point in the Lightning's top line, and I think they're You know, they've been a little bit exposed when the Lightning's fourth lines on the ice and I don't think they've defended as well against them. And you know they're talented group with good scale and obviously Great shot. If you look at ball cobs and and then maroon in front with a little assist from Volkoff. Kelly. What do you expect in the third period? I mean, it's easier said than done to tighten things up for Tampa Bay, but They have to find a way to probably keep it a little simpler on the ice, especially going against that first line of Florida. Yeah. I don't think the Panthers are gonna like that. They've given up this three goal lead now multiple times and I think you know if you're the lightning, you have to keep things simple. You know, they're trying to make too many plays that the Panthers blue line and one thing that the Panthers top line especially has done well is e mean they've burned him on the rush, but they've also just established the four check. Um, you know, been harder on park. So I think, dumping it in sometimes just keeping things simple. Um, and trying to establish your four check. Make them play defense That's going to be the key is make that top line defend. Wear them down on see if the lightning can get their lines rolling. Really great job is always will talk to you during the postgame. Thanks, Greg. All right, Kayleigh Chelios Right there. Hey this season with the bolts light the lamp it home. It means more than the.

And every episode people that say i is used a l. the most now for probably the most overused letters of all time right because no one knows when you say i. What does that mean talk to me about. What does it customer experience when they use the nautilus platform. So what's something they may be couldn't do before and after implementing you they can. Now do. yeah. I think for us. The interesting thing we found is our product has a lot of capability underneath or even just on off the shelf But folks really start off with just the basic table stakes in analogy. Now we offer and then build on top so for us. What that means is the basic cable. Six optionality is really just like exposing the customers calendars shirring have bidirectional sinking or email off for chats. Were whatever. The communication aspect is within your application. I we help you kind. We make sure that you're able to access the data that not just a huge block of tax that is actually in a readily usable form for both your end users and developers. We're going to be building that analogy so from there Folks ben go into the higher order functionality. Once they are. Crm customer that is able to connect the context of the mailbox into a sales conversation in their crm then you can add on higher order functionality around cinema or whatever else he might be doing this little bit fancier but at the very beginning always like the first building block the foundation which is getting access to the data in the first place. Making sure it's what you need and making sure it's automatically sinking in both directions so that you can receive messages and also send them out with guaranteed engagement. Gotcha so nonetheless. It primarily used by customer service sales organizations or who is who uses the product our product is used by developers so our core audience is the engineering community. Okay and the product community at software companies. So we're a company that focuses on bbc software companies primarily. I would say they're about seventy percent of our customer base. Gotcha so i didn't. I didn't quite understand that part because you had talked about a lot about is with in the communication side so i automatically you know by default assumed to the service organization or sales organization. So what is it that. I guess you one of the things. 'cause there's a stat on your company's website and says that your communication. Api's are currently used globally across more than twenty countries in you naval developers to build apps that integrate with one hundred percent of email calendar and contact providers in as little as four lines of code the value proposition so developers are using nonetheless to build communication tools across different platforms. Is that accurate. That's right. yeah so the distinction here is that there's sort of different layers layer cake that make up the communications. You have at the very top. Your apps is these are your your zooms and your slacks are the software tools that have a very defined very user experience and the company is just geared towards just people onto that set front end user experience against lack zoom they build the tool and they deliver distributor business themselves then where we are sitting beside year down the abstraction layer this is where companies like Like nine listed like We provide the picks and shovels the tools that those apps used the builder optionality. so for us we have a tremendous amount of customers In the space in the marketing space legal h. r. act but the list goes on not because a a lack of folks are part but more show because it's a functionality that's needed across industry got so we're not really a sales tool go. I would say in the first year of the business. We saw tremendous attraction. Crm

Those last collars, the first one regarding critical thinking. I consider myself a critical thinker and if you go by results All those things that you had mentioned earlier are absolutely true. Everybody benefited from our good economy. Everyone benefited every group so and as far as the other color, calling his speech classless. I looked into that whole speech. I thought it had a lot of class. He did wish them well. He did with some luck. Yes, he talked about it. The compliments accomplishments, But those accomplishments are real. Yeah, That's why I recommend. Here's another one. He cut the business tax rate down from 35, which was the highest in the world to 21% for a business owner, Small business owner or otherwise, That was a big deal. Part of the reason why we have the successful economy. So you you can't forget this stuff. The president had his passes flaws, as did every president. But you have to talk about both sides of this coin. And I, thanks for the call Mike for calling from Illinois on guy could read about 100 more of these things again, not perfect presidents and you've heard me criticize him on a lot of occasions. I want the facts to stand because that's the fax was gonna say That's the fact Jack. But It wouldn't be appropriate. It is. It is something that we We forget about me when we Jim Politics or hyperpartisanship into the equation. We're talking about the performance of a president or his administration or our country. There were some good things I've cited many the bad ones. We've talked about the bad ones, Communication style. For in my opinion. Immigration policy Pour in my opinion, the boosting up of the North Korean leader. Horrendous gave him credibility. We're world credibility he did not deserve And we now see that is simply just doing whatever he wants, enhancing his nuclear program. Let's do one more before the break Ray from Illinois, Europe on WTMJ. Good Morning, Ray. Morning, Steve, How are you this morning? I am good, Happy Inauguration Day. At the inauguration day. Absolutely, Um, you know, you're absolutely right. Um, I got a couple of accomplishments that really stick out to me that Trump had Is. He got nearly 300 federal judges, including three justices on the Supreme Court confirmed and that is something that we can't forget. Because that is gonna set legal precedent for a very long time. And also if you're like me and I think this way it'll put a check on the overreach of government and another thing. We've got it all say and, you know, I agree with the last caller to Mike, and that is You can't. We can't let the facts and the good accomplishments go. He did accomplish a lot of good things. I wish he'd get more credit for that. But this is a man that accomplished quite a few things. Really, when you think about it. Under all most nonstop, biased negative media coverage. The media and their members of the media that admitted this load him hated him. And yet he accomplished the things that he did. And I'm not a trump supporter. I never woz. But in order to be fair, you've got to look back at the good things that he did, and the accomplishments he had. And I'm glad you're doing that this morning. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks for listening as well calling from Illinois. There. Look, Look, I'm glad you reminded me about the course because that's that's a significant achievement. If you listen to show, you know, I'm not a fan of activist judges. I'm a fan of conservative justices and conservative courts. Congress makes the laws but certainly Supreme Court can interpret those laws to be fair and equitable for all Americans. I don't want the courts of our country whether that's a Wisconsin Supreme Court or the U. S. Supreme Court. Such crafting their own laws. That's what nine in the U S. Supreme Court seven in Wisconsin. I don't want that. And I think that's one of the achievements of the Trump administration that I do appreciate. We will have many, many administrations going forward of all flavors. We might have a third party at some point in the near future or At least the next 20 years and we'll see how that goes. I want a court system. Uses their ability to discern our constitution. Law of the land in a fair and equitable manner for all of us, not one side, not the other. We've seen courts. Both at the state level and the federal level. Be more conservative. I think that's a good thing. You may disagree. I'll take quick break our last break before we go live election. Man who found Forrest Fenn's famed treasure reveals identity
"So in an episode over the summer i talked about the treasure which had finally been found by an anonymous treasure hunter in june and after being adamant that he never wanted to reveal his identity. The finder of the treasure chest has just gone public blowing. The lid on most of his secrets in an article written by a fellow treasure hunter. In outside a quick recap though forest finn was an air force pilot who later opened an art gallery in santa fe new mexico one filled with plenty of forgeries as arts as tried to do people unclear in nineteen eighty eight. He received a terminal cancer diagnosis and decided to hide treasure chest in some outdoor location for people to find but then he recovered from the cancer. Still he didn't wanna give up on his treasure hunt idea so fast forward to two thousand and ten when quoting outside thin treasure chest containing gold and other valuables estimated to be worth at least a million dollars somewhere in the rocky mountains not long after he published a memoir called the thrill of the chase which included a mysterious twenty four line poem that if solved would lead searchers to the treasurer fended suggested the loot was secretive. Way at the place where he had envisioned lying down to die back when he believed his cancer diagnosis terminal since the hunt began in two thousand ten many thousands of searchers had gone out in pursuit at least five of them losing their lives in the process and the chase became an international story and quote. And yeah i mean the whole thing really has been a wild story people have lost their lives and livelihoods there have been countless lawsuits. You can read all kinds of articles about that have been published over the last ten years leading up to this year when in june the treasurer was finally found and the man who found it decided to stay anonymous because he knew how intense the community of treasure hunters is any feared for his safety but then quickly announced that he had met the winner and verified. He indeed had found the chest the to also decided to keep the location a secret so that it wouldn't become a kind of tourist site where people might injure themselves getting there were risk damaging the nature around it but all of that anonymity lack of closure did not sit well with people who had dedicated years of their lives to finding the treasure there was instant suspicion and then in september fourth fin passed away. The one man who could maybe smooth things over was gone and those left behind were even more dedicated to making sure. His wishes were upheld. With all of that has come a number of court cases in particular one from a woman claiming that the finder of the treasure hacked her emails to steal part of the puzzle that she herself had solved. She doesn't seem to have too much of a case however since she thought the chest was in new mexico and it turned out to be in wyoming but the case is still proceeding in the winner knew that his name would be released to the public as it goes on so he decided to preempt that by outing himself on his own terms the winner. Whats 5Gs real impact going to be on the iPhone 12
"G. has been one of the most heavily hyped technologies in recent years and it's coming to the iphone twelve. I wrote her. Chang Industry daily charged with me is our expert things Mobile Shaare Tikkun. Welcome Char. Thanks for having me. We previously touched on how five G. will play a big role in the next iphone but ultimately, it wasn't mean to have five G. The African twelve. Yeah, I mean. So basically apples catching up with everybody else android basically all high end phones we've seen come out in the past year have had five G.. So this is that super fast connectivity super responsive there shouldn't be very much latency so you can do things like. You know have your band practice on Zoom and you'll actually be able to play in sync or do things like that. The phones are going to be capable. We'll have to see what happens with actually. And if they're able to take advantage of this, but generally, the idea is this is the connectivity that's going to be expanding all over the globe over the next decade basically, right for for most people especially off the bat, how will experience change or Willa Change? It really depends on what kind of five g you're tapping into. So some some versions of five G. are kind of slower They're not necessarily much faster than four g but then there's this other kind that's way way faster So if you're living in one of the cities that has it and you're basically standing near tower not behind any trees, you can have really fast download speeds kind of the problem. That we have with five G. Right now is it's basically all about speed. There are a ton of applications. There are a ton of new products or devices or services that really have evolved or come out because of five G.. So it's really kind of like downloading a video really quickly or streaming in four K. and not having glitch or anything like that. the hope is with apple getting into the market because it's it's going to be such a big player right away that developers start looking at more unique things that can take advantage of five G. and we have some some new services in new things come out like what we saw happen with four G. Right we had things like live streaming Uber A. Number of different apps you talked about the bands and let's break that down for our listeners. What are the different bands and which carriers are pushing, which bans when you think about the super fast life changing five g. that's something called millimeter wave. These are super high frequency bands extremely fast way way faster than what you get with four G. Super Responsive and. We're basically only seeing this in the US. This isn't really widespread around the world right now. And the biggest company that's really been pushing it is verizon verizon chose to build out its five G. Network I using millimeter wave so it can tout these insane speeds, but you can only get it in thirty six markets around the country. It's it's not even in every part of those cities so it might just be an you know downtown Chicago, but if you live on. The West side or whatever you can't get it. Then there's something called low banned. These are the slower but. More reliable airwaves, this has really been pushed by t mobile especially. So when t mobile talks about it's nationwide five G. Network, that's what it has. What's the nets reviewers have found is it's not really that much faster than four G. But It's easier for carriers rollout. We've also seen a t and T do a lot with this verizon hasn't launched its low band network yet, but that's still kind of expected this year the benefit of that is it's a lot easier to have pretty comprehensive, pretty good coverage. So you could theoretically cover a whole city with five G. if you're using low band kind of the sweet spot, five G. is what's called mid band. Waves these fall between the two and so there faster than four G. faster than low band. But they're more reliable than something like millimeter wave. So what we're going to see carriers use a combination of all three of those to have good five G. coverage over the next several years right support not mobile right now is really the only one actually ruling out mid band they got that spectrum from sprint while they were so. Griffin so desperate to by sprint and you're seeing some of that game rolled out now. In terms of price that that's obviously a big deal that iphones generally expensive phones began with. Do you think that Five G. will make. Phones more expensive. We're really going to have to see what happens. But what we generally seen across the board is that five G. does add to the cost of devices when the first five g phones came last year like Samsung's Galaxy S. ten was four hundred dollars more with five g. than if you just wanted the four version and kind of what that's meant is that if If there's an option in a market between four Gina Five G. version are buying the four G. version. They are buying five G. we've really seen prices come down very rapidly for five G. phones though. So Samsung's newest phones aren't really that much more expensive than the four G. versions last year or previously You know they're kind of starting around thousand dollars for their flagship lime. We'll have to see if apple. How much of a premium, it puts on five G. We also seen the millimeter wave versions are costing more than the other because they require some more components it's more difficult. There has to be these little sort of modules in a phone so that if you accidentally cover one with your hands, the other ones can still get the signal because the these radio waves cannot pass through your hands. So that adds to the size it it kind of affects the design of the device. I do think apple probably have. A premium for five G. but it's it's not going to be four hundred dollars more than what the iphone eleven lineup cost this year right? It's as you know the. Allow. These are the verizon variants right the pixel four with five g. that just got announced. Last week, we found out the horizon version that phone is one hundred dollars more than the standard Google version. So clearly, there's already a premium kind building on within a family of funds. So it'd be interesting to see how apple prices that particular millimeter wave. Version of it. Well, they're not they all get it. It's still kind of up in the air, right? Yeah. We don't know yet what's going to happen some rumors say that just the iphone twelve pro Max will have a millimeter wave version but basically, verizon doesn't really want to sell a five G. phone without millimeter wave and not everybody who wants a new iphone once the biggest phone. So we're really going to have to see if apple has millimeter wave in different options as well. you know kind of what we've seen with Samsung is they'll have one version that has millimeter wave and it comes out later than the other versions and it costs more than the other five versions. Apple, who knows what they'll do where we're GONNA find out but Yeah, it'll be really interesting to see how including millimeter wave is gonNA affect pricing for the IPHONES. Yeah. Speaking repricing there's also the other side of things, the carrier pricing plans and I'm sure this is something my listeners really care about is do I have to change my plan to access five G.? Yeah. That's a very complicated topic based on what carrier talking about you know, and then there's all these surveys coming out the like half of iphone owners think they're correct phones can access five their iphones can access five g. part of that is a t who had this five G. E. branding not five G. at all. You cannot access five G. it is forty with the different carriers, basically a t and T. if you want five G, you have to have a different plan. T mobile you can stay on your current plan and access five G. Verizon. Kind of has this sort of hybrid thing. If you want access, they're really fast millimeter wave you have to switch to a new plan Basically, these are all unlimited plans because the idea is five G. can consume a lot of data really quickly because it goes so so fast, you may not even realize how much you're consuming but but yeah, it's very complicated. Unit has a lot of good kind of breaking this down for people with some nice charts and explanations of how much is gonNa cost for four lines. What do I get with it etc but yeah, it is pretty complicated basically. Carriers get once a decade we moved to a new wireless technology. They've invested billions building out these networks may WanNa try to make that money back they want but they also at the same time, want people to move to these networks. So it's not like they're going to make it. So prohibitively expensive that everybody's like Nah I think I'm going to sit out five G. but you know they've they're trying to take advantage of the fact that we're switching to this new technology. Yeah. You make a good point. This is a big sort of switching opportunity for levies carries trying to get other folks jump from say at and T. mobile of rise in eighteen t with this new technology I suspect. You're right the plans already complicate I. Suspect will get even more complicated as we get more offers out as carries get aggressive And keep them under our listeners the the fine print on some of those plans they do still have those throttling limits. which they don't advertise but they do say like if you hit a certain amount, they do reserve the right to slow down even if it is a limited which I was found. A little annoying. But Anyway, the carrier. So the carriers that stone complication for folks who are looking to upgrade God. You know the regular old dependable phone what happens with that that I If, you have a for Gi phone. It doesn't mean that you need to throw this away by a new five G. iphone four G. keeps getting faster five G. isn't really widespread yet. So most markets you're still going to be tapping into four G. Any way you know especially, if you live in a rural area, there isn't really five G. There right now Four, G. also could get faster as more people move to five G.. So it's not like this phone is worthless but if you're planning to buy a phone this year, not upgrade for three or even four years you're probably GONNA WANNA buy a five G. phone. By that point, it's going to be pretty widespread We'll even see it in a Lotta rural areas and you. Just, need to future proof and look at five g. m. beyond just speed gains. What are some of the other benefits I'm talking about things like gaming a are that you could sort of expect to see on an foggy iphone? Yeah I mean I think that what one thing that apple probably push augmented reality that is something they've been talking about for a long time they. Just see huge potential with it You know kind of the best example we've seen as Pokey Mongo and that doesn't really rely on having that greater connectivity like that isn't something where all of a sudden it's going to be a much better experience with five G.. So we're going to have to see what developers come up with or apple comes up with things gaming. Kind of the biggest benefit with gaming aside from just the speed is the latency. So it there isn't going to be a sort of lag. So if you're playing a shooting game or you know whatever game against your friend I yeah. Thanks. Yeah. For nine point four. Although iphones I duNno fortnight. If you already have downloaded on here I found A. Those are going to be really quick and responsive and Yeah. We'll have to see though how much developers take advantage of this and and you know what? Actually what it's like in practice I think the phone makers and carriers frankly are all kind of struggling to find ways to make us really want five G.. I've talked to a lot of experts about five G. and what a lot of analysts have found is. People are only kind of buying five G. because that's the option that they have like all Samsung phones in the US now are five G.. So if you wanted a new Samsung phone, you're getting five G. phone you may be just don't even care that it has five G. it. But the hope is with apple getting into this market. It's not just oh yeah, this is the phone I have to get. It's more like Oh yeah. Here are some real reasons why five G. is useful definitely be interesting to see how apple markets five G. especially as as you said, like other people have struggled to really make a compelling pitch for five G. especially with all of us lockdown and not really on. The go take advantages on that network speeds.

Lightning prevail in Game 1 after 6 hours, 5 OTs
"It was a ah, along one, no doubt, but it's always better when your team wins and the Lightning did that in five overtimes 32 over Columbus Game one of this best of seven braid in points with the game winner in the fifth overtime. And that is how the game would end. Just simply gets the puck throws it on nets. Good shot. Good things happen when you put the puck on that. How about Korpisalo? By the way, folks stopped 85 Of 88 shots. That's a record in the 9 66 save percentage. Vasilevskiy had a 9 68 safe percentages. He stopped 61 of 63 shots. It's always fun to look at the total ice time for some individual players, Victor Hedman, talking about that lower body injury, 57 minutes and 38 seconds. He played on the back and had nine shots. On gold when you take a look at the forward position. For the Lightning. Brayden point played 47 minutes course. The two goals I said he had nine shots on goal. How Valiani gored and Mitchell Stevens both had six shots apiece. Stevens actually had some really good scoring opportunities in the skin. The fourth line. Did some good things played a little over 24 minutes. And that was encouraging to see for sure, because you want to see that death scoring come up big when we can

Around the Rim
Breaking Down Bracketology
"I do WanNa flip the page to Rica's point some teams. That have worked very hard to get to this point. We've got eleven teams. Charlie that have punched their ticket so far to go dancing any surprises for you in the ache you I think we have one out. West correct so In the last couple of days of the West Coast Conference Tournament Portland is your winner. And they will now go to the tournament. they upset didn't zag in the semifinals and they will catch a little bit of. Portland's game yesterday in the championship when I flew into Vegas and they're upset of of Gonzaga disrupted. That's the surprise. It's SORTA disrupted the bubble a little bit because when you when you take it to my Portland who was not going to make it as an at large but Gonzaga certainly is well now the WC goes from having one team in the field to two teams in the field. Well he can only still sixty four teams so someone has to come out of the field to accommodate Portland's entrance and that affects the at large teams on the bubble and in the case of my bracket that not Boston College. Back out of the field. Who just a day earlier had slid into the field because there was another loss by someone else so everything with this in the championship weeks at circumstances everything affects something else because it's a numbers game. It's a sixty fourteen field no matter how you slice it so going forward and these next few days. We've got some other tournaments that could affect that in the same way and I mentioned this going back a week or so ago that their watch out for the bids steelers because there are certain mid majors that we know we're going to be in the field. They've earned the right to be in. The field is at large teams if they don't also go in there if they don't go in AH automatic qualifiers by winning their tournament. Well then that's an extra team that we didn't account for and brackets and that's an extra team now that the committee has to put into the field. That's one less team that can make it from some of these bubble team. So yeah the the big upset so far has been in the West Coast Conference in Gonzaga. Not Winning it and we've got some more to look forward to. The MAC happens to be one of those tournaments where there's not going to be. Any fans will central Michigan won the league pretty decisively. This year is a top twenty. Rpi team and most assuredly will make the field but now that tournament played before no one could be one of those that affects how the bubble teams go to central Michigan. Does it also come on? Come out on top in the tournament So that's that's certainly one for fans to watch as we go forward and you're GONNA have to watch it on TV because you're not gonna be able to buy it you're watching on TV though you will hear my voice. I'm on the call on Saturday for the championship. And the more reason to tune in now on the game and you can't get into the arena so the ratings should be sky high. Now it's via going okay. So I want to over to the big twelve. Charlie would where I know actually had a chance to call some big twelve games this year and I know. Tcu In particular was a team that was really making a push. I believe there in the field as it stands right now but I was state actually Jones. Who's a certified buck gator? They upset Baylor over the weekend which was a huge deal. I did a double take when I got the alert. Baylor is bailer their legitimacy. It probably doesn't change anything for them. But what does it do for Iowa State? Well I always stayed. I had as a tendency leading into that game and and it pushed him to a nine. And what that does is it's security. It's cushion because of the ten seed. Maybe the committee views them a little differently. Not Quite not quite at that level so that he's talking about eleven seed. Well that's a vulnerable team to some of the upset potential. We just talked about so what that win for Iowa State. I think is put to rest any question that they'd be in the field although I think there was a big one anyway but it but it certainly nails it down and they no longer would have. I don't think any anxious moments watching the selection show on Monday Now it's just GonNa be a matter of where do they go? And whom do they play? But I think that's what did for for I would say for sure and it would what it did do for. Baylor though while not it's not gonNA knock him out of a one seed it. Does maybe raise some questions. I personally didn't think that there was anything to worry about with. Frankly there weren't a lot of flaws there but the big twelve not not one of the better leagues in the country this year of the power. Five Leagues I think it's probably fifth and they haven't been severely tested in a while and I always say certainly did that and the it might raise some question marks about Baylor going forward. I think they can answer any of those questions in the big twelve tournament because I was sneaking suspicion. They're going to come out with a little extra in that game and it could be ugly for the other. Big Twelve teams In the big twelve tournament but that said it does it. It shows little vulnerability that I didn't think Baylor had and that makes it a little more intrigued when we get to the tournament. Time itself I agree with you one hundred percent. I know look at the box. Were trying to figure out what the deal was. And nothing really was like crazy glaring. But I do think you're right. I know a ton of folks are going to be studying that tape to see what I was able to do right well that was able to watch some of that game and when I did was really slow the Temple. They hope to threes in the second half. They made more threes than they made. Twos in the game and the believer and it was and it was so slow paced and Baylor never found a rhythm that they they say clog everything inside the Lauren Cox had almost no room to move it. Kinda dared the Baylor shooters to shoot and they just had one of those games where they weren't making shots so maybe at least down a blueprint for some other teams as to how to at least approach Valer Ago You mentioned as an example Yukon being a number two seed and I know over the past few years you have seen to have had all these regional conferences in such a favorable area. I think at the Albany region that they mostly have been seated but this year they would be projected number two in the Portland region and I think as much as we talk about Yukon not being the same Yukon is as pass. There's still a very good basketball team. Won thirty nine. Oh in their conference over these last few years in the American and I think that having them with the possibility of travel really makes this team look a little different because they aren't the same team as years pass. Tell us a little bit about how that could affect their performance. Assuming they make the sweet sixteen you're right and Seven out of the last eight years. They've either played in Albany. Bridge for for Kingston Rhode Island. So they they have not had to get on an airplane until the final four in seven out of those those eight years. But let's let's be honest earned it ju- every one of those years with the possible exception of last year because they were the best team in the country in those years too so and when when cities bid for these regionals it just so happened that that all those years those particular low cows bid and got regionals to be able to host. And you can't happen to be close so this year. Those regionals are don't exist. There is no Albany. There is no Kingston. There is no bridgeport and no matter what was going to have to get on an airplane. And you're right. I think it will look a little bit. Different seeing a yukon in a faraway place. I don't think it's going to impact on the whole Locke. Though to be honest I think the people that are bothered by the possibility of uconn going West are the players and the coaching staff. Everything I've heard from them is like. Hey we'll bring it on. We'll play wherever we'll play whomever we'RE NOT THAT CONCERNED ABOUT. Gino's been been pretty adamantly over the years but this year when the subject's soon kinda shrug your shoulders. Look I you know. I don't have any control over it and we'll go play and it will do what we do and I think he said the other night after the the American championship game. We'll do what we do. I hope I think That's sort of the philosophy that they're gonNA take me. Maybe their fans aren't happy and maybe people who who look at the tournament and see certain things as they view them. Unfair that a team that is fifth overall. My take would be the one that has to travel. Based on the fact that other teams can can drive to the region. So we'll get into the reason why you would be going to Portland is very simply that The NC Double A. Would prefer as much as possible that teams that can drive rather than fly two games that they're gonNA play It's written right in the procedures principles of putting the bracket together that mode of transportation distance from campus. Things that they consider will this year Louisville can drive the Fort Wayne Regional? Nc State can drive to the Greenville regional. So if you assume that those are those are two of the other number number two seeds. Then they're going to be plotted in those regions and then the other one being Stanford and Stanford mashed up with Oregon would would also violate one of the principles of putting the bracket together and they They try to keep teams seeded on the top four lines from the same conference separate. So they're so they're in different regions. They wouldn't even meet until the final four now. In this case the fact twelve might have five teams in top sixteen making that impossible but in years past when that's happened the committee's not put one a one and a two. They've put fit when a four again. So it's highly highly unlikely that Oregon at Stanford Movie Place Together which only leaves one region left for Yukon to go to which is Portland matched up with. Oregon is the one in the two. So that's the why behind it and I think we talked about the the what or in the case of I think the Yukon players coaches the. So what I don't know that they that it matters to them very much but it does create an interesting conversation around how the tournament is bracketed. And some of these rules. That maybe fans aren't quite as aware of in the the head-scratching that I get from from fans and social media. Say Well if you cons five. They should be matched up with the number four overall team based on the curve. And that's Maryland so they should be going to Fort Wayne. Well we don't ever. The S curve is used to plot the teams in the tournament. But it's not used strictly to place them in these numerical matchups one in eight go together. Two and seven go together. It's never worked that way. It doesn't work that way in the men's tournament. The committee will try to do that as much as possible. That's the goal. But if you've got these graphical instances at hand as well then there there's other ways to balance the bracket and. That's I think what's going to happen. This year with
