"Participants. This vaccine requires two doses given three weeks apart and requires extremely cold storage. It must be kept at minus 70 degrees Celsius in a specialized freezer that shouldn't be opened more than twice a day and on Lee for about one minute at a time. Once thought it can be kept at a more typical refrigeration temperature for about five days. Then there's the Madonna candidate. Similar to Fizer. Madonna's vaccine saw 94% effectiveness across 30,000 trial participants. Madonna also requires two doses administered four weeks apart. In terms of storage. The Madonna vaccine requires only a standard freezer temperature for up to six months and can be refrigerated for 30 days and left at room temperature for up to 12 hours. And multiple other vaccine. Candidates like those from AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson are in their final stages of evaluation. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Illinois will only distribute a vaccine that is deemed safe. In addition to the thorough review at the FDA, Illinois is one of many states that have established additional review panels, including Indiana, California New York. West Virginia and Michigan. There's an all hands on.
Philip Rivers and Kirk Cousins' Season Outlook
"This has become a big part of the season. The the quarterback lawyers out there so it became a topic that i talked about on monday because of the romo defending brady and basically criticizing arians but it seems like a lot of the athletes. Hate the Law offices of romo and collins worth all of these guys that seem to protect the quarterback but then it was another level for the monday night. Game with wentz where people were so mad. Anytime brian greasy would be like well actually was a screen and they missed the block here and it was on again and it looks a lot of guys i used to work with. Espn like name is. They know they are. They got so mad about the. The defense of any of these. Quarterbacks is fair when it comes to the stuff you're at home your home just like the rest of us are watching these games. They give me a break of the tampa thing and then wentz. Yeah i mean. I don't think either quarterbacks in a good situation right now when you look at those two guys. But i also think there's some i mean to to absolve either. One of them of blame is crazy to me. Neither one of our plan well So that to me. It's kind of more a little bit more nuance there. I don't think either one of them are in the right system. That fits what they do right now and the other side of it as well. But that's where you find yourself. Your job is to execute with the situation. You find yourself in. i think carson's little carson's is is is a longer story About everything that's going on there with him to me. He looks like somebody who's kind of just completely lost his confidence you know. See what a guy it out in hoops curious around like in football. We talk about guys to start guiding the ball right. They don't they don't have any confidence or trust and you're really trying to guide the ball and then you end up with some really bad messes. I don't know if a shooter go through a slump. What what that looks like. But that's what it looks like with carson. There's nothing like a quarterback who's lost confidence it really. I think eventually like if you're a decent shooter not just going to not be able to shoot for year. Because you're bummed out. I mean paul george in the bubble so whatever But i don't know what the excuse was another playoff games. I think the biggest thing that you'll notice basketball is a guy who was a guy coming back from some kind of injury and he's good to go it's not like he doesn't trust his knee. And you played a lot of basketball. He's just stuff around the rim. he's inbetween decisions. Sometimes you just forget to drive usually remember used to drive past guys but eventually all that stuff goes away. I don't think there's anything as long lasting in basketball is there is is. The quarterback is completely lost. And then you'll see guys who lose so much confidence they start changing the way they've played like that's one of the crazy things about the cousin story. Is that cousins. Was somebody who took no chances to kind of make his way into the game. And then he had some decent statistical seasons and then he actually started. I think chuck in the ball a lot last year. Know what he actually came around. And then you know. He has dug game after they beat the saints. Which wasn't surprising to me. And then the beginning of this year. He was chuckling at all over the place and they were terrible for complete like changed who they became as a team with cook and yet cousins was great. Cousins will have these moments where he's like two completely different guys which is my biggest with ever putting him up in higher group with with some other people have them up there but cousins to me like in some areas. There's some similarities to rivers. And that i always felt like with rivers man if if if he hits that that hot stretch for him when he get. The postseason like flat goes agree. Example flack over sixteen seventeen games in any season his career. Like you're not. You're not going to buy that as a change of quarterback but he always had that ceiling for manufacturing it for three or four weeks. He's capable of doing that in off they go. I've always kinda put rivers in that category. That if he could get in the tournament and just had to have one of those hot streaks he could carry them and cousins is kind of like the the next version of that were I don't trust kirk over sixteen games but in a three or four game stretch. If you've got the good version kirk cousins like that's that's dangerous. He could actually do something. I always like rivers way more cousins. I wouldn't say this version of rivers but you know he's more accomplished definitely more -ccomplish but i'm just still saying that that rivers his hot stretches lasted longer than any of kirks hot stretches. But i've seen rivers put together three unbelievable games and then just added nowhere. You're like dude what what happened. Like just a clunker can happen so that that to me is where i find a little bit of the similarity there.

European regulator could OK 1st COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 29
"Regulators may approve a Corona virus vaccine developed by Fizer and buy on tech within four weeks. It could mean the shot is rolled out first in the U. S. And Britain. Rebecca Coil with the American Immunization Registry Association says this has to be done right. The vaccine distributed and the doses have been administered. There's a there's a need to really demonstrate where the vaccines air going on down into account. For all of that one important factor is tracking vaccinations have multiple products out there. Different types of vaccines are not interchangeable. And it's going to be on us to make sure that a person on Lee receives the type of product that they need to receive. The European Medicines Agency plans to convene a meeting by the end of the month to decide if there was enough safety and efficacy data about the vaccine for it to be approved. I'm a

Boston - Julian Edelman Placed On COVID-19 List By New England Patriots
"Edelman. Not the news because of his knee issue but now because of coping nineteen. I think his knee was a bit of the conversation and bill belichick was talking about him and saying that he was headed in the right direction He wouldn't rule out a return and he sounded optimistic. That you know just knowing delman as well as he does at this guy is really one of the toughest players on their team and he expected that he he definitely gave a hint that he would be back and it was later in the day that we found out that he was added to the reserve. Covid nineteen list so that just complicates the picture years that i would say feel pretty comfortable and i don't know how many how many people are still. He's only rostered and thirty. Four percent of leaks has elements. So if you're holding onto him. I'm guessing he's in your ira slot the patriots. Leave friday for los angeles. They play back to back games. Chargers and rams the rams game on thursday night game. So they're just they're staying. Ucla for the week like either the earliest we see. Join them in. Is the back side of that. So when they return and what would be thirty four week fifteen i think. The patriots closed with the every. Afc team to finish off the season. I think that would be the earliest you'd see back at the at the very end so and fantasy wise guys like don't think he needs to be added right now. We'll see in the next couple just imagined this like you'd have to see element in week. Fifteen acre comeback. Be play well and see. You'd have to still be in your fantasy football playoffs so a lot of work to be done before making him a reliable fantasy asset one more time but a guy that has defined you mentioned bill. Belichick has a lot of confidence in in terms of his rehab right now.
How Airline Pilot Jim Allen Got His Aviation Start In The Navy
"Tell us how you got your start in aviation a pay I grew up as an air. Force brat flu beef forty seven feet fifty twos in a one So i was always excited about aviation from that. My dad passed away when i was a teenager so I think that kind of cemented the hero worship for for my dad. You know in those days. And i just you know as always we we moved from you know we were on the air force base for a while we lived in iowa and then kansas after my dad passed away to live where my mom's parents were in a big open skies. And you're always looking up to see what was going on up there because you know. I was just kind of bored in small town. Kansas and My uncle taught me how to fly. When i was nineteen years old Down in rockport texas. What kind of airplane of piper warrior and I just you know even though it was a little stressful because he was kind of a screamer why it was it was i love going flying solo but when he was in the airplane i was just a little bit stressed out but i still have his His voice in the site you know in in my ear every time i'm not lined up for the centerline of it in even in a seven thirty seven. Now it's get get lined up with. What's wrong with you that just use a spring but it was i'm just curious You have a relative teaching to fly when you're not in the airplane. What was your relationship with him like. Yeah so i was staying in his In his house and that was it was just. It was a little stressful. But i in there were. There were times where he was like these. You really want to do this one. She just leave and things like that but when it was all said and done he was really proud. And i was proud and But i was his first and last student because nobody else wanted to deal with them. I guess but he. He came to my winging ceremony when i became a pilot And he was just proud a you know it is just the way life is. Sometimes you know it's not always good. It's not always bad. There's just getting bad mixed in but But i learned a lot. You know and i and i got the i got the license in like fifty five hours. I was there for two months from from zero to two private pilot just in the summer of nineteen eighty five. So that's the way to do a t to go. Full bore fly every day. If you can and get it out of the way right. Yeah and i saw that with the students that i flew with later so a way You go to college. I went to college at the university. Kansas and i was living in kansas can think. And why. why am i here in the first place. That's my mom's hometown. But i found out that the university of kansas was ranked in the top ten for aerospace engineering. And i was like well. That's pretty cool. You know so. That's that's what i wanted to learn. It was a tough program. But i got through it Actually with honors But i decided to join nato. otc The air force at the time was They weren't offering pilot slots Two people who were getting scholarships Be an engineer for the air force. And then you would compete for a scholarship later in a it just seemed a little too much ambiguity. Matt's of navy was saying we'll we'll give scholarship. You can figure out if you're gonna be a pilot toward the end of the program in You know it's needs of the navy. And all that kind of stuff so so turned out. When i got selected if i they told me i was going to be a pilot and then like they. You know four weeks later. I haven't graduated yet. They said well. We're sorry that we were badly in the back sears. Nfo's nfl stance from naval flight. Officer so i you know. Tail between my legs went down to pensacola tried to figure out a way to become a pilot and they said no dice Were just short on. Nfo's and that's in. You have a minute refractory error in your left dive. It's keeping you from minnesota. But i was twenty twenty in gotten in like six months before six months after they probably would let me go to the pilot program but at the time they just they were starving for back. Seniors in that may have been a blessing in disguise. Because like a year after. I got down there. They cut the bottom third out of pilot training navy wide because of the cold war drawdown and there were guys get sent home. We're getting cintas supply or know. They were surface warfare. That kinda thing and so it was. It was kind of an ugly time in the navy late eighties early nineties.

Seattle sees rise in COVID-19 cases ahead of Thankgivinng
"Are skyrocketing, and hospitals around the state are filling up. Public health. Seattle King County Health Officer Dr Jeff Duchin says this is a catastrophe, his words waiting to happen. In a press briefing, he described the exponential growth of the Corona virus outbreak. It's I need to acknowledge that cases, hospitalizations continue to rise and King County at alarming rates. Our cases are doubling approximately every two weeks and we reached a new peak with approximately 700 new cases reported each day last week. That's nine times higher than what we saw in late September in about 3.5 times higher than the previous peaks. We saw In the summer and in the original outbreak in the spring, we had close to 900 cases reported on the 19th. We are also seeing a sustained increase in hospitalizations with our daily hospitalizations, increasing 3 to 4 fold compared to October. That's every day 3 to 4 fold More people being hospitalized in King County for the last three weeks we've seen between 101 160 people hospitalized per week. And that number was in the low fifties during most of November. We're also seeing a recent increase in hospitalizations among 80 year olds and older and among the 60 to 69 year old group over the past week, and this is very concerning trend for us, because as you know, Previously majority of our cases and hospitalizations have been in the younger and middle aged adults. Another worrisome sign increasing numbers of APP breaks in the size of outbreaks that we're managing in long term care facilities. We had approximately 61 outbreaks reported over the last four weeks compared to 30 in the prior four weeks. We're hearing the briefing from King County Health Officer Dr Jeff Duchin. I would appreciate it if you could perhaps describe where we're at right now, with the increasing hospitalizations. And the leg of a few weeks before we unfortunately, see deaths increase. How bad might this get? Well, thank you for your question, Charlie. You know, like much of a covert 19. It's hard to predict precisely where we're headed. But all indicators Right now in King County suggests it's going to get very bad, particularly if people gather and significant ways over Thanksgiving or subsequently And if we don't do something differently now, we as you know, we've been asking, providing information and asking the public to limit their activities and take steps to prevent covert transmission for weeks now, yet we're still seeing a relentless rise in cases. That is now being followed by a significant rise in hospitalization, significant impacts on our health care system. So theoretically, you know, if we don't get this under control, what we can see is the hospitals filling up. That means they're at capacity, both in their critical care intensive care units and with the amount of staffing that they have cannot care for critically ill patients who absolutely need that otherwise. And I don't know how. Um how else I can express it. The that is about as bad as it gets with respect to, you know, the impact on our health care system. People not getting a life statement care that they need. And worse hearing about other hospitals and other parts of the country approaching that point now, so clearly, if the operate continues to progress, the way it's progressing that we will reach that point. I can't tell you precisely when that will happen, But we absolutely need to turn this around before then, that

Over 900 Mayo Clinic staff in Midwest have contracted COVID-19 in past 2 weeks
"Heard about screwing a virus cases starting overwhelm hospitals in the upper Midwest, Iowa, North South Dakota, Minnesota among states have had rabid community spreads of Cove it for weeks now intensive care units in the areas they're feeling the strain. What happens that when the staff itself of the hospital? It's overwhelmed with infections. And that is the case that the same Mayo Clinic Hospital Network were over. 900 staffers are sick with covert 19 over just the last 14 days. After Connor lost. This is a gastroenterologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Doctor Thanks for being with us. Soul so much for the opportunity. So I guess like many people, I'm surprised because you hear Mayo Clinic and you think? Well, I mean, if any place is going to figure out how to contain the spread of this infection, it would be the Mayo Clinic. So how did it happen? Yeah, thanks. So much for the opportunity and things to your listeners for tuning in here. Um, 1st 1st thing I would say, even though we have a large number of our employees who are out sick and we have, you know, 900 health care workers diagnose with covert 19 over the past, 14 days and 1500 of our staff are out altogether. We still have a very robust staff at the Mayo Clinic. We are still here to care for our patients. So if we've got sick patients and to come to our they come to our emergency rooms. We're here for them. Here. Here is the issue. You know, we can control of what we can control as work and our workplaces safe. Our employees are not acquiring the covert 19 infection at work now, Nor are our patients getting it from our employees. But when our employees go home, and they take off their masks, and they socialize, and they go out to perhaps bars and restaurants That's where the problem is rising and 93% of the infections have been community acquired. So that's where we encourage everybody. Bought in our immediate area and across the country to do the basic things where your mask social distance be very careful practice excellent hand hygiene, So the reason is that we don't have control of what's going on in the community and encourage everybody to pitch in and that space so we can all defeat this together. There was this kind of like a two pronged thing. Number one. You tell the staffers. Maybe you don't go out as much. Maybe we shouldn't be going to the restaurants or, you know, limits the groups but then it's also on everybody else, like you said, because if people aren't wearing masks, or they do Thing too much. It's going to get around anyways. And you've got more chance is the more you are out. Exactly rice. And you know, Governor walls here in Minnesota, just, you know, put it effectively A stay at home order for the next four weeks between you know, Friday December 18 Tonto. Four weeks later, two bars and restaurants again scaled back to take out only Jim's being closed down so that the governor and the authorities are helping and we're is certainly encouraging our staff during the holiday period Thanksgiving. The social distance, too. You know if you have a typically involve a bunch of friends over, please, you know, scale that back social distance mask. Be very, very careful with your interaction. So we all have a part to play in this and we will defeat it. There's no doubt but we need to be very, very careful with the holiday period coming up, especially.
Will distributing a COVID-19 vaccine be a "logistical nightmare"?
"About the subject of vaccines. How hopeful here as you said. We could be a couple of weeks months away from starting to see some distribution. Can we get people to take it though. That's the million dollar question. It's gonna be a logistical nightmare. I mean first vaccine. The pfizer vaccine is gosh to have to store that Minus i think ninety four degrees fahrenheit refrigerators can get it down to about ten degrees fahrenheit but Mine is ninety four fahrenheit. This is very very unusual type of product to during product that they've talked about today doesn't have such stringent requirements. But look it's it. It's going to be a nightmare to try to get this vaccine distributed to three hundred and thirty million people across the country. And by the way you know you're going to need two shots three to four weeks apart so trying to keep the the the pfizer product you know at this very very cold temperature in distributing it in a very timely fashion. I don't think people are going to probably be able to get vaccinated in terms of the masses probably into spring into summer. That's the reality. So that's why. I'd be a very very strong advocate of again. You know personal wearing a mask hand washing all the routine things that we've been told now many many times but the vaccine i think it's it's it's gonna be Our way to escape this plague because Your alternative is herd. Immunity who eighty eighty five percent of the population ultimately becomes infected Than than than transmission naturally slows down. But i think it's interesting these two products. But i the the the to mr and a vaccines have been available. You know what it's no cuisine and it's that these are in a Vaccines have come around. I as opposed to the more traditional what we call whole virus vaccines so these products. It's it's great Genetic engineering where you have the body's response to generates a protein that your body reacts to and then theoretically protects you once we had the genetic sequence of the Covid nineteen virus was relatively easy. I mean i'm not a vaccine. Knowledge is but i can tell you. It was relatively easy to make an m. r. a vaccine. What we have to do is prove that it's safe and once we can get that data out. I think that'll be really much more reassuring to the general public. You never really know clinical trials or one thing. There have been lots of medications that did great and a clinical trial. Guess what when they opened it up to the general physician prescribing population and we started giving it to all our patients. They had to pull it back within a year. Because there were all these unexpected unanticipated Medical problems associated with it. And i can tell you that. From personal experience with antibiotics that looked great on paper and once they were delivered into the general population. Unexpected side effects were seeing and the fda withdrew the approval.
Seattle restaurateurs worry for their future as Inslee shuts down indoor dining in Washington state again
"Other initially announced more restrictions to try and stop the exploding spread of Corona virus across the state. Washington has seen some of the highest case numbers recently since the pandemic began in action here is not an option. We have to take bold, decisive action. Average daily cases in our state have double just in the last two weeks. You cannot go on like this. We have to get this under control. Or medical system will soon be overwhelmed. The governor is banning indoor gatherings. Indoor dining at bars and restaurants, though take out will still be allowed. Also, retail grocery convenience stores will be limited to 25% occupancy for the next four weeks. Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkin applauds the governor's moved to slow the spread but knows it's going to be devastating to many people and businesses, Durkin says. In the coming days, she plans to unveil a small business relief package.
Seattle - Gov. Inslee orders sweeping restrictions on indoor gatherings, restaurants, bars, gyms as COVID-19 cases surge in Washington state
"There now more than 11 million confirmed cases of the Corona virus in the U. S and more than 246,000 deaths, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. How to Prepare Your Business for The Holidays
"For a lot of people. The holidays is a hectic time. Not only in their own families but in their business of course i love the holidays because he really prepare for them well in advance and it's a really relaxed calm time for us and our colleagues and i'll tell you why it's all about communication and setting up expectations. We know that it's important for us. And our collies our team members to enjoy the with friends and families so we want to give that to them. We don't want them to be stressed out so we work around that to make sure that our whole team has a chance to relax to recharge to enjoy being with family so our company actually closes down. We actually do not work on christmas eve christmas day and the day after christmas now. Many people might not agree with that they say. Hey all i'm business should be open twenty four seven. She get people to work during those ships. You're leaving money on the table. While i didn't build a business so i can do things i don't wanna do right. I'm building a business to make sure if it's with my lifestyle and fits the lifestyle and the needs of my team members and guess what it's okay to close as long as you communicate it to your customer so well advanced about three to four weeks before we actually take off for those three days on holiday. We tell our customers. Hey we take off. During these three days we make sure all our promotions are sales. All the things we're doing to really bring in customers all happened well before this time. Okay we we plan this so that there is no need to be around okay secondly we tell our customers that were. We won't be around but will be back on this date and what we found overdoing this year. After year is that our customers are totally fine with the fact that they think it's awesome and as long as they're given a heads up and they know and we do this via email. We do this by App message we do this in our chat message as a automatic reminder hey just a reminder will be not available these days coming in a few weeks and this allows everybody on the team You know from our developers designers marketers to customer service agents to all take a break when it comes to something like our podcasts where we are producing content. We edit we do all that stuff and we just do it in advance we batch it and we schedule everything in. We let the computers take care of things. Okay that's the beauty of technology you can record edit and schedule everything in advance so that you can enjoy the time off. But you can't do it if you don't plan for it if you don't make sure it's in the calendar and make sure that you're planning for with your task lists leading up to it now. If your business where you have to be open on christmas day or christmas eve is just your business. Depends on your toy store. The first thing i want you to do is question your assumption that it's a mad house in your business during that time maybe it is You know busy with you have customers but it's not as busy as you think it might be take a look at your analytics. Look at the data. Look at the traffic on google analytics. Look at your ticket volume for the past your Customer support tickets. See what's going on. You might just need one person to work as customer support agent or a help desk during that day and we've had to do this On different ways so what we do. Is we ask for volunteers in the team to cover those shifts and it's totally voluntary and we actually give them a double pay that day so it's a little bit of a bonus to work there and there's some people that may not value that particular holiday as much as you do or much as anybody else. Maybe they celebrate other holidays and they're happy to work that day for double pay and for the most part. It's not as busy as a normal day. Now if your company is very busy before the holidays during the holidays. Maybe you know the week before christmas. You know this is the you know the nature of your business. Then you need to make sure. There's all hands on deck before you take off Make sure that no one's taking off during that time nobody taking any kind of extended. Holidays is kind of like a. You know a red alert all hands on deck time where you need as many people on the team to be working understand that they can't do this forever. You can have people you know in an intense situation weeks on end They're gonna need a break so make sure it's you know a few days or a week at most. Now let's talk about the actual products services all that kind of stuff so back in the day i had my own clothing line and the the holidays was a very busy time. In one of the challenges i had was making sure. I had enough stock on hand to sell at all During the holidays now if you have a choice between having too much sock and not enough stock you sell out. The latter is always better. It's always better to sell out and have a sense of wow. This is a very popular product. Very popular brand Sell out here. That's a better look for you than being overly stocked and you're left with a lot of stock to sell and if you're an industry like fashion like i was you just can't keep things forever you can only sell it for maybe a couple more months if that And then the season's over you got to change things up the same thing in toys you know. The hot toys are not the same The next christmas you can always look at historical data and see how things went last year. Remember every year is going to be a bit different depending on the circumstances of the year People are predicting that this year. This holiday season is gonna be one of the biggest holiday seasons of all time in online shopping because of the pandemic and also people are predicting people are going to be spending actually more this holiday season. Because they're trying to you know have some sort of happiness some sort of You know Celebration and they're willing to spend on holidays since they're not going a vacation getting around on they're not spending on eating out that much anymore so those spend on the holidays so keep that in mind inner estimates. There's one piece of advice out comes to promoting your sales for the holiday is to star early There's a reason why. I i really think that And i've tried this in the past and it really is very very powerful. Is that if you start early. Let's say for example. Your holiday sale is the first week of december Nah you know right before christmas. You are going to get people early on before. They spent their money. You're also going to be able to save a lot of money on marketing because your marketing dollars go a lot longer. Because it's not as hyper hyper crowded right before the holidays on facebook ads and instagram ads and google. And all that stuff. You're also going to deal with the rush of the holiday season for your business early on so you can start winding down. Your team can enjoy. It's time and of course you can hit your quarterly goals your quarter four-goal end of your goal earlier and even if you don't hit the goal you know how much left you need to hit the goal. We have a few more weeks where you can Try to make up that gap. The holidays should not be hectic but you need to plan for it to not to be hectic put things in place like we mentioned today so you can enjoy them.
U.S. Jobless Claims Edge Lower
"Erich Ritter. Ski reports 709,000 laid off Americans supplied for jobless benefits for the first time last week. "And and like so you'll be like well, why can't I do this and the answer is Oh i think what I was doing so I was complaining that there was something I couldn't do. And somebody was like Oh you do that on device in the settings window and I'm like are you kidding me? So it is a problem that a lot of these little satellite devices have where they're like. Well, we have an over here on your smartphone, but also there are some settings you said on the device and sometimes it's only one of the other it's very frustrating. So yes, in this case, I can't find any way to do it in the watch APP on the iphone but in the activity APP, on the watch, you can set it. Andrew says I was fourteen now has a visual indicator in the operating system when the camera is being used well, also one for dictation to I think that one's orange cameras green. Do you think this could come to the MAC perhaps allowing on Max drop the light next the camera. They could I think the little light is great because the little light is is wired into the hardware and like literally you can't turn that camera on without turning the light on in software. Yeah. Because it's hardwired, I think that's the best practice is to make it something that's not hackel by software to give the highest level of reassurance and I liked that they're. In. Apple could say, well, it's so locked down that we control it all now and it goes through the T to when it's fine and the T to controls that. But you know if you're just displaying something in the Mac interface, it is theoretically something that could be hacked whereas something on your screen or the actual light you would need to with hardware like. Cover or break the light in order for that to not happen and I think that's better. So I I don't see apple backtracking on that they could if they want to cheap out and not light there anymore and just have being software but I think in terms of. A commitment to security and privacy it's better to just keep it the way it is. And Chris asks is it a bad time to buy a pods pro? Dishonest tricky. Because my gut says, no, you're you're fine. Yup. But don't buy something. Don't buy anything when we're maybe like two weeks away from an apple event. Like if he can wait two weeks, just wait weeks. If you wait until the apple after the iphone event I guess you could I. Don't think it's a bad time to buy pods pro because they're great. and. They're if like they show off the new Apple Studio, the head pods, and then Christie's I call you know what I would prefer those. Well, if you would prefer a different product to the airports pro, the now is probably not the right time to buy the airports pro. But if you want airports pro and you're just worried that they're going to be replaced by second generation the knowledge to the rumors. Not really suggest that but if there is a second generation, I have a hard time believing that it's going to be anything that isn't pretty incremental sort of like with the original air pods. So I wouldn't sweat it too much unless as Mike said, you are thinking of your options and there might be a better option and apples got an event probably coming in the next few weeks. So why not wait? I think it's If. You are desperate for a product of some kind. You got it now but if you're just interested would like you just really want. Don't just wait like a couple of weeks and then you'll know I'm put in my money down and Lee now on October thirteenth by the way. For the for the next apple event. I think that's the best guess as October thirteenth. But we'll see I was thinking last week that it might be the sixth. But now I've changed my bat and I'm sticking with this one, a recognized Eric, and it's going to be the thirteenth is going to be unacceptable event, which means that will probably be drafting again on the twelfth. I think we're going to get two weeks notice who knows maybe they'll give more no for the iphone event but I doubt it. I doubt. If you'd like to send in question fast answer on the show. He could just send out a tweet with the Hash tag upgrade or use question mark ask upgrade in the relay FM members discord, which is something that is.

"Is Seinfeld some Hashtag, ask upgrade questions We'll start off with Molly's question says, what is your favorite widget right now on your Iras Devices Oh Oh that's so hard tricky, right? I. Have Loved Stove. So I mean a lot of them are pretty similar to what I was talking about loss time so. I think I'M GONNA have to go with three. No four Jason I'm GONNA do forums. Help, the the the carrot weather wedged I mentioned earlier. The forecast one I think is fantastic. I really love the fantastic how widget which is called event list and calendar. And I they have a feature that I wasn't sure about. I've tried out and it's called to show heat map. which basically highlights in Kala, how busy your day is on the couch And I wasn't sure about it I, but I've actually come to really enjoy getting that like buds I view of what my week looks like. So I like that in a stuck around the time zone widget in widget Smith I really loved that especially because I've been able to make it look really nice an aesthetic as as the kids say. And also as an upcoming widget that photography, which is more time tracker and. I think it's coming pretty soon. is time tract, which is basically a widget that shows me my total time track throughout the day and a little graph that shows me I've spent my most time on and it also when I'm tracking something wish I am right now the time is ticking up on the widget in real time, which I think is fantastic is really really great. So. Then my favorites. I do like the the fantastic couch it a lot. I don't have it with the calendar. I don't like the calendar I like the straight up event listen. because the calendars tiny. And I I don't need to know all the things that are in there. So I also one of the things that's nice as you can set those widgets to have different calendars sets. One of the things that I'm impressed by you can have like I have my family calendar in a widget that is not my normal calendar said. In a widget I can see what the family calendar is telling me. which is pretty cool My favorite widget honestly is scriptural because my two favorite widgets are these witches that I built four myself that US, you know my local data to tell me the weather or the current temperature in the high and the the air quality and stuff like that, and I used to hit my my little weather server webpage all the time and I don't because I have it in which it for him, which is better. So scripted it's great. It's awesome. I saw somebody posting an believed the Simon oblivious is name. he put his script somebody. Somebody posted. A A script -able script for a widget that ended up creating a transparent background because use a screen shot of your home screen. It's wild. Yeah. So screen shot. Figures out what you're wallpaper is and then it uses that. And your location of your widget, and it basically runs out in the background. It looks like it's transparent even though which don't apparently. so like an Alpha channel, so it fakes it it's very clever and there's there's going to be more stuff like that. Also I could say, Hey, we just supporting Alpha channels is a good idea. Also, it's fascinating to be on the test flight prescriptible because he's he keeps thinking of things that he could add to it as he goes. So like now you can do a grid. So you can do stuff that's placed horizontally within a widget whereas previously was just sort of a stack vertically. So, there's always new stuff and he did an auto resized thing which actually added to my widget so that you can set a. If text the changes like the air quality, you can set font size for it, but now you can set a minimum scale and it basically makes it smaller until it fits, which is really great because some of the descriptions are long and some of them are short and I wanted to be big and I was previously doing that manually I, always like if it's this word, make it the size of its this word, make it the size, and now that's all back out because he added this thing that let's just automatically scale. Yeah he's I. It's fun to see developers like widgets. It's not just users who were figuring out which are for the developers, people like signing people like David Smith are figuring out what which it's four to as they go, which is fascinating. Alex asks would renaming the low cost three, hundred and twenty nine dollars entry level ipad to be called the Pied Se helped define the line of ipads in your opinion. I liked the suggestion I think it would help. I. Would help how we refer to it. Right 'cause there'd be ipad, se, the IPAD air and the IPAD pro rather than the IPAD that's just the ipad we have to explain the IPAD is also a product product line and a product is doing so I would say in that in that sense. Yes. In another sense I don't know it's an it's an IPAD. It's the classic Ipad I kinda like that. It's still. Just, the IPAD, but it would be much less confusing if it was the IPAD. ESI At point I, think it's the only product that still maintains the name of the line. There is an iphone code iphone. There isn't. Much. There's no matter even then I'm like not Mac right like this. No problem back. That's true. So I think I name for that ipad would be good an IPAD s e. Totally works because that still looks like the really bad. which is like the iphone se so. I think that's a smart idea. But as we know, you cannot rely on apple's naming. You can't even events seems like the logical thing it doesn't mean they'll do. Lucas Jason. We're going to go back to saint goals again you mentioned that you lowered you'll stand gull from twelve hours to eight. How'd you do that? You're the activity APP, on the watch this. Feature Right. This is a new watch os seven feature. So on the watch, you go to the activity APP and scroll down to the bottom and there's a button cult change goals. Tonight just blow your mind and you change your goals and you say, you know what? I don't WanNA stand for twelve hours a day with your stupid thing that can't detect what I'm standing. Let's shoot for eight. And it'll say okay. So that's what I did. I would like to era frustration why? Like there are some things that you can do on the watch and some things you can do in the watch APP and some things can only on the watch and some things can only be done in the watch APP unaided impossible, detriot understand. There's no logic to which can be done where. Some I find that very frustrating I. Know that's that's a constant frustration for me the idea that you have these two devices I I ran it about this a few years ago about my My Amazon Echo show which has a touch screen and it has a settings menu the and there are certain things that you can control from the settings menu and there are certain things that you can control from the Alexa, APP. And they're totally separate..

"The where the how my watches buckled I like that personally because they'll be different times are I wanna tie or a Lusa like that's just a personal preference thing of mine. But let my point is like the the the the regular robbery one like for me the way I look at it. I, don't see why would want that over the typical sport loop because I, I like the spoilers. I wear the Nike Pride Sport Loop on our watch and have been for awhile since the with my series five, I have only worn sport loops with it because I got the edition won the white on. So I was wearing the white one that had the matching ceramic pin on it because I really liked that and then when they brought the pride Nike One US I like that too. White. So I've been wearing that, but I would consider the braided solo loop because it looks nice bright So I think is a good looking band I. actually would really like them to make that wiggle buckle on it. Personally but I would consider it but like I'm not in a rush At I. I'm not going to buy one the braided Solos until I could try on and that's not gonna be any time soon, I will want to try one on but I, I like Ella's I there were people in my apple store. It seems as if if I can give my report about that I showed up. There's a line of people that is like the line to see where you who you are, and while you're there and that was very short and I said I'm just here for pickup and they said, go stand over there. There was a separate line that was like for people who wanted to go in the store and it seems like everybody who went into the store was escorted by an apple employee. To wherever they said, they needed to go to do whatever they needed to do. So they get in, ask the questions that they needed to get in get out. And they take their temperature before they go in and stuff like that. One of the things that you able to do right now is try on a band I don't know I it would be interesting to see. I, bet you could that you could say I want to buy a sport loop but I don't know what my size is and and I wonder if they would be like we we can do that we we can. We can make that happen. I don't know what level they are, but there were people in there. That's the thing that got me like, what are they saying they saying I would like to look at an iphone is that it I would like to look at an IPAD can you show me an IPAD? Okay. Sure. Wait over there and we'll we'll issue in because they were people in there there were probably you know fifteen twenty people in the store with apple employees. So it was super it looked busy in the context of mid twenty twenty. But empty in the context of before March of twenty twenty. So it was fascinating to see that but it was super efficient for me because I was doing in store pickup. So they literally had me wait on the side and then brought me the thing and I, showed my id and then I left I didn't have to set foot in the store which was just fine with me because they don't need me in there and I don't WanNa be in there. So the Virgin the CIA is saying that they do that you can do it and they will sanitize the watch bands for you. There's a difference between apple doing and me wanting to do that and I don't want to do. Going to do it. So. On Your Apple Watch sizing that you WANNA go to an apple store they will do it. Everybody's got a mask on they'll show it to you and all of that. So it's your level of comfort, but they seem to be up and running for that, and then we have somebody else. Maybe Carter in the chat room saying. In their apple store, you just need to be accompanied by a specialist at all times, which is definitely what I saw is it's a one to one and which is great except it's not scalable. So I think it's going to be interesting to see how apple handles this if. We get more toward the holidays. Are they going? Is there going to be more demand or they're going to be longer lines and they're going to have to change their policies going to deal with the IPHONE? That's what I'm I don't know how they going to sell the next iphone. Will you be able to buy a stole if you can what does that look like I am because you know we've all been in lines apple stores on iphone day at some point analyzed maybe you haven't actually but most most people have been have yeah you have. I have okay but those lines are long and they are crammed. So, if you WANNA put a bunch of distance between every person in that line I, think you could line up the entire at the United Kingdom all iphone day he said, well, the lines were to stop meeting of each other a-. Some point like I really know how they're going to manage that i. also personally would love to just run by an apple store and just pick one up real quick like how you did on my phone day because I hate waiting for the delivery truck. But that you know I would really WanNa know what their processes before I would consider that I think is going to be interesting to see how that goes down. Yeah, well, we'll keep watching. This is among our list I feel upgrade is as formed its own little identity over time like we're interested in. The rise of streaming media and the streaming wars were interested in apple retail and sort like what their strategy is there like we have these little little areas that we're interested in. So our are on. Yeah. Hey up gradients. If you're out there, if you no longer want to listen to ads on this,.

Loop will fill up but maybe that. Old and Kinda. Decrepit office building that's on the border of Sunnyvale, and Cupertino that they have now because they they're desperate but. When they have some people work from home it's like, oh, we don't need to pick up the lease on that building that building and that building. That's I think when you'll see it, their core campuses are going to be full as full as they wanna make them because apple is in this case where you apple park is only a small percentage of the total apple workforce even in Cupertino believe it or not for people who don't know about that that the size of apple and the size of that area. So they'll always be able to fill up apple park so. That beautiful thing they spent a lot of money on it it'll get used. The question is you know? Does their end up being some kind of crappy office space somewhere in. Cupertino. Sunnyvale or San Jose or somewhere like that that apple dumps. The lowest stuff. The worst stuff because those groups don't need to be there anymore. Today's episode of upgrade is brought to you by aero these days your house isn't just your home it's an office. So School, a movie theater restaurant all of these activities put more strain on your Wifi especially as many of us are home more again to use. It is not good enough. It's only.

"The APP wants is the first four characters. So basically, what town do you live in I? And then from there, it gives you based on the town. The you're in what you're kind of threat level is basically right like what is the how bad is the virus where you are and this is the Wales App Scotland has its own APP. and. The one of the other things the application does is has a Qr code scanner in it. So if you go to public places like restaurants, cafes, that kind of stuff, any retail business now has to display a qr code on the door that you supposed to scam before you go in. So it's effectively. Helping with detest and trace type stuff like that starts to think into it So I used the application I've been. It on for a few days, I haven't had any kinds of notifications. Yeah. I know that there's like system based notification that tells you hey, you're fine I haven't had one of those yet either I think it's after a week or something alert alert alert nothing to report simple with thing but I am. This is a long term. Follow up just took longer than it should have because the government made a stupid decision and trying to make its own application I. But frankly, I'm just pleased that it does exist. So, yeah, there we go. I wanted to follow up on that right. That's that's good now and report back that I mean I know you're you're staying safe I would imagine that if there's like somebody who's got it, who is riding the same train as you or something like that that that would be where you might get a notification saying Oh that guy across the the train from you had it and yeah on the train for fifteen minutes or something like that I think that that's possible like that would be the most possible for me. because. That's the only time that I would be in contact with for that time or like a lift driver or something. Yeah that could drive A. or in public basically, transport transport is my main risk factor. Personally, right. You're just going from where you live to where you work and back. But the good things that we have is one if we do take taxis like seen some science and this added no but I've seen before you open the windows which they recommend that you do like that f. lows really good. Yeah. My understanding is that the ride sharing. Companies in the US have basically mandated that the windows bureau down it's the same. Yeah, before you take an uber here, you have to like as extra screen now, which is like you need to agree to doing all these things right and it's like wherever musk. Wash your hands, open the windows that kind of stuff and with the trains for me I can stay pretty far away from people like I haven't had too many instances but has been around too many people so. It's going fine for me so far. I I. Wore revolt back if I'm self isolating at any point because the APP told me to. If a podcasters selfies lates does anyone notice? Oh Nice Nice probably not probably not actually. Unless. They tell you. During an interview at the Atlantic Festival, a Tim Cook says, he has been quote impressed by employees ability to operate remotely and predicts some New Work Habits will remain off the pandemic This is remote from Bloomberg. Cooked said, he doesn't believe apple will return to the way we were because we found that there are some things that actually work really well, virtually this is a very surprising thing. If, you've paid attention to apple for long enough. You will be aware of the fact that they are very hesitant almost allergic to homeworking or kind of like telly commuting right that. If you want to work for apple, you have to move to be near. Ever place is closest to you. So wherever it's Cupertino or wherever it's like a place in London or whatever like you have to be able to go to that office because that's you work from. And this isn't just because of the secrecy thing is basically every part of the company if you are in if you will in head office function, you have to be in the head office. So I think is a refreshing. You know Steve Jobs didn't like telecommuting and really bought into the the concept that you have to have people in person in order to have magical collaboration and all that which. I don't want be too cynical here it does happen. It doesn't it is not The only way that those things happen it's like I'm a big supporter of remote work. And I hired a lot of remote work people when I was a manager of a an editorial organization and macworld, we hire lots of people because they were the best people. And they were great. And the issue I have is this kind of myth that the only time you get collaboration and magic serendipity happens is when people are like waiting for the toaster to toast a Bagel in the lunchroom or whatever like it's not be bump into somebody and there's that magical moment I'm sure that happens but I think that there are lots of other ways to facilitate stuff like that. That don't require your. Every single person that you have to be in an office together and you know my my experience is when they were staffing up APP store aditorial. A bunch of people I know were contacted by apple about that those jobs and. What I found fascinating was that it was in Cupertino job like literally you had to be in Cupertino, every day for that job and it was no different from the mackerel jobs that we all had where you can have somebody at their house because literally it's like writing words. And you're not dealing with developers, the developers are all remote. So it's really just you and your fellow people who are doing APPs Charito Oriel and I had this moment where I just I couldn't.

"I liked that kind of stuff especially in comedy shows like all I can see where this is going and then it doesn't go to that place to allow that kind of stuff. Yes. Apple has also quiet Scout FM, which was a startup that creates radio stations for podcasts. This was a cross platform application Basically, you pick a topic and scout put together a playlist podcast for you This isn't something that you can currently get anymore the APP is disappeared. I don't know really who was using this I. I. I've read the use case I. Can understand what they are saying I don't know who wants this. I. Yeah I mean, my initial thought was Oh, boy podcast needs something that makes it more like radio, which is why people listen to podcasts as they don't want radio. Here's my. Theory my theory is they like this technology and they want to do a better job of building a podcast recommendation engine based on listening history. Yes. That makes more sense because that's one of the ways they were doing it like basically the stuff that you seem to engage with and like they would use that to feed system to recommend what to put more star into your feed. So this is this is the thing is my guess is apple's not going to do a genius playlists for podcasts, but they are going to look at user behavior in the podcast APP using the technology from Scout FM and say, you know people who like this podcast like this other podcast or people who liked. You know what you like also like these other things and and try to say like rather than being like here's an endless podcast playlist you just press play and we pick whatever maybe they tweak it. So it's more like are you looking for more podcasts? Here are some that we think you'll like but who knows who knows what their philosophy is? I'm not a believer in. In trying to genius playlist trying to to you know radio is. PODCASTS because podcasts are. Like they're longer than songs for one right. So like you listen to something for an hour and then there's sort of like here's a random podcast for another half hour or whatever. They're not easily split up in that way and I think people you know I think the challenge is more about discovery and finding things that you might like and that that makes sense for this technology and if apple can go in that direction, that's great. Yeah. Yeah I don't know. It seems to me like. People in the disco saying like maybe this is the type of thing for new uses but that doesn't make sense to me either because like if you're a new user, it doesn't have any information on you. So it's basically just the same as doing a search by topic and just yeah playing whatever's popular This really feels like I can see how somebody came to the idea. I can see how somebody get investment for a project like that because if you invest people to understand what radio is delic- Yes podcasting needs to become more like radio. So it gets more listeners for some reason that people think that it needs and then you get investment and then it becomes no object I. Think the goal is somebody sends you. A link to you know hello from the magic tavern and you're like, okay I'll listen to that and you're listen you're like Oh this is great and then if and this is why you Scout FM isn't the right answer it's it's a vehicle to be acquired by somebody who has a lot of podcast listeners like apple perfect match whoever made that company I? Think this is probably what their ultimate goal might have been. Apple Oh a company right lane company but it allows apple to say, Hey, new podcast person who's never listen to a podcast before and listen to hello from the magic tavern. If you like that here are like five podcast that are just like that and maybe even five podcast episodes you could listen to to try to find something else because the goal is to increase engagement I would. Assume and like not lose that person where they listen to ones that it was funny I guess but I don't know where I go from there and say, Oh, I can tell you exactly based on their algorithm where to go from there for whatever it is that you happen to to like, and then if you're a again, we're all kind of intense podcast listeners I think here but. There are also people who they like podcasts, but they only have a handful and they don't know where they go from there, and maybe it's a big mainstream podcast like you know it's a sports podcast and it's able to throw them to a bunch of different kinds of sports podcasts from which they find something a little more obscure but that's a good fit for them like there are you know I like it as I think better discovery in podcasting is a good thing and I hope that that's what it is. Because the you know just press play on sports and give me a a a lot of sports podcast back to back that nobody wants that. Like you just going to press play and then you give something that's ten minutes and then something that's two and a half hours each just. I just don't think it's the medium. I just don't think the medium has created for that. You know it's like. I don't know. Anyway. Moving on expulsion notifications now support throughout the United Kingdom Jason. So Scotland was turned on a couple of weeks ago now England and Wales, or to they nhs of the government and the released their application I had previously said the I would not use the APP but I am using the APP. Oh, because I went and took a look at, and also some of the features that the application has in it, which is kind of useful for stuff going on right now. So all the APP does asks feel postcode. But only. So up house codes alike four characters and three characters and the four character thing is too general area, and then the three characters narrows it down to where you are more exactly, and all the APP wants is the first four characters. So basically, what town do you live in I? And then from there, it gives you based on.

"A, not so bad I guess yeah it's an interesting I mean, this is an extension of the thing that they always do, which is like look at how much money we bring into the economy and look all of these businesses that we help enable and all of those all of the stories that they tell. So there's a they're fighting. APR This is the Battle Right? There's the epic creating an organization full of the usual suspects of companies that have had run INS with apple and apple posting a bunch of stuff on their website about how great they are and how good they are to developers. It's you know the the story will continue. Most definitely, well I think we said this a while ago, but like this will continue to be probably the story of the year like it would just keep rolling especially now is a lot of these companies assigned to band together. This was when when the epic thing star, this was the big question like will other companies start to get together on this and if they do what? What happens now, the moment just creating a coalition where they just make some noise is not really that effective. The effective part is if any companies follow. In more epic tried to do and really kick up a storm, but we'll see. So I have some upstream news for you Jason Sexually. All focused on apple today said has been some new content signings, apples pont ship with the development, the company, a twenty four, the film and company will be bringing a new original movie to Apple TV plus it's called the sky is everywhere and Stars Cherry Jones, Jason Segel, and Grace Kaufman. So a twenty four this is a deal that done a long longtime ago them and it's basically to help them do this right develop movies. and. TV shows and stuff like that. Apple's also announced a deal with Patricia Arquette and Ben Stiller. To create a new comedy show high desert cat will start and produce and still will be producing and directing some episodes. This is being produced by Apple Studios, which is why this is a rare press releases that was on apple's website as opposed to deadline overwriting. Apples. Weird. Totally. Separate TV PR website, right? Yeah. At least states now apple dot com slash a TV dash. Because for a while, it was like Apple TV dot it looks like a fake website. It was very weird. Lisa, they've they've tightened that will not. Now this is the second project with our Canton Stiller to it. They're also working on a show called severance, which is a thriller series apple and it's kind of interesting because. They don't own a production company together still does and it's his production company and purchaser. Our cat seems to have a working relationship with Ben. Stiller, because they seem to keep executive producing shows together but this is notable because this is one of the few so far projects that up being produced by Apple Studios directly, and that's obviously going to continue as time goes on. Apple. So required the rights to a movie called Cherry, which is a Russo barbas movie directed the avengers movies to las to avenge movies It Will Start Tom Holland, Clara Bravo Akara Bravo apple. Paid over forty million dollars for this drama movie focuses around heartbreak drug addiction crime that kind of the major themes So you know it's a gritty movie for sure and it wanted it made me think again about the expensive NBC comment. Because I saw which head Lasso if you're sick everybody telling you how Ted, Lasso how good Ted Lonzo is I'm sorry I'm GonNa tell you now it is absolutely fantastic. I think before episodes in but even with that show so much cussing which really sucks for the show. Is Way more than you would find on an tell it's more. HBO. Really it reminds me of veep. The veep has a ton of customer. That's why it's not expensive NBC but there was there was an angry for those that don't remember there was some report that they were basically the apple TV plus shows we're all going to be expensive NBC that a lot of money but they WANNA have control over the content. And that was clearly producer who basically got fired off a show or their show got killed or something like that, and they had an ax to grind had had a bad experience because of what was being asked of them. They assumed that was being asked if everyone it wasn't it was just them but they ran to the press about it and and yeah Ted Lasso is It's great. You know you know. Where because his team is is what AFC Richmond? Right. There in the? League premier. In the show yes. In the show because they're not in real life, they're made up they're sort of. Chris. Palace but. Crystal Palace also exists in the show so it's very confusing. I talked. To. Oscar soccer soccer soccer soccer soccer. Okay. It was a very good move I think to Create a fake team I will say as a British person, they do a very clearly British writing in like the clearly has been written by people that are very familiar if not operata survey from it because it fits everything fits really well, none of it seems out of place like what people say the was they use that kind of stuff like if it feels like a British comedy show to me, it's Not, it's got Americans running it, but it's shot in England and an American starring but shot in England and I'm unclear whether they had English writers or whether they had the English some English. People do a pass on it to make sure that but you know I'm glad to hear that you. It felt authentic to me I'm glad you feel it seems authentic to you finding incentive Britishisms I mean it is. The show itself the premises kind of ludicrous, but it doesn't matter. It's great. Yeah, and we'll. We'll see so far as well as. I like shows that the same to be. Following conventions and then just don't..

"Is one of I've seen a few things that is but this this widget for sure feels like it's doing more than I thought could be done and this is one of those things where the carrot where the widget is updating information throughout the day based upon what it seems to be logical for the time that I need which I mean I know the. From an online perspective as the witches is supposed to do right but I haven't I don't think I've seen an implementation of this kind of logic as good as Cara wicket, which frankly I'm not surprised about because carrot weather is a truly fantastic application We said many times on this show. It is one of my very, very favorite APPs on IOS and the widget is just made it even better. I will also throw in another APP that I was trying, which is weather line which I know a lot of people like, and they don't even have an IPAD APP it's just an iphone APP. But. It's widget is really nice because the way it presents the weekly forecast with the little line goes up and down. so I've been trying that out I never really used it before but I like it's widget. So I added the APP to my Ipad and then I added the widget and the you know again it's looks iphone APP. So the the APP is terrible on the IPAD but I don't use the APP. All I'm using is the widget and it's a beautiful widget. So I'm using the weather line widget now on my IPAD. So that's a pretty cool thing where the you know you can have an APP that is bad on the IPAD. But there widget is still great because widgets are widgets wherever they live I think. Which is Where wherever they live there's a there's a children's book coming. It's Jason Smells which are widgets an fourteen story for children. This episode is brought to you by paying them. Had you ever website to website for shopping car registration forms or contact US pages if you answered yes to any of these questions you need paint nobody wants that critical website transactions to fail because it would mean a bad experience here uses could also result in las business as well. We've no credit card required than when you sign up use the code upgrade at checkout and you'll get a huge thirty percent of your first invoice a thanks to paint from Sola wins for the support of this show and rely fan. Jason Today as we are recording this apple, an epic, a backing. Cool to argue the weather apple can legally keep epic out of the APP store. So if you remember, there was some temporary injunctions in place about. Not About not getting rid of the developer account that was to do with the unreal engine to remember just a few weeks ago while back in court today to make this permanent. So there will be a final ruling from Judge Rojas whether apple will be able to revoke this developer account Also, they will be talking about a fortnight can come back to the APP store or not. Of course, the judge is already I. Think made it pretty clear that she's not going to allow this to occur. I would be surprised unless unless epoch somehow got this incredible argument that we've not yet seen from them it seems very unlikely. However, the reason I want know what it is because if for some reason, the judge decides that apple has to reinstate epic would fought my into the APP stool. It would set a precedent for third party payments because. That would be the assumption right that they will keep us third pipe payment method on a court said that it's okay. So there are some interesting There will be some interesting discussion I think the come out of this, but it's going to be I believe it starts today and it will be over the next couple of days I believe but we'll say at meanwhile there is of course more PR battles but this time not just from apple epic of joined up with a base camp the match group that's the match group is you can assume like match dot com tint companies like that spotify tile many more to create the quote coalition APP Fenice They have a big ten point plan of the things that they want to see changed but they all These points or coalesce around three ideas. They want to fix anti-competitive policies that have been occurring a thirty percent attacks and no consumer freedom So this is basically them against apple mainly Bu- Google also like I actually saw a couple of days ago that Google, is actually trying to to get more of their thirty percent of people than they have been in the past So no doubt to combat all of this apple has created another new you selection of web pages that explain the benefits of the APP still and what they give to developers These pages are funny to me right? They shouldn't they. They don't need to exist because apple has to. Sell itself to developers right like that job has been done. It's purely to counterbalance a lot of these discussions, right? Like this is apple's side of the PR piece whether they're trying to say look how amazing we look what we give everybody because you know these these pages. If you looked at them without knowing it is permission they look like Oh we're trying to convince you to develop for a platform, but that's clearly not something that apple needs to do. Right like people want to want to make IOS APPs is a very small business to be, and if you WANNA be in any kind of APP Development Company. Business but they're doing this. I would assume as a way to try and said like Hey we. A, not so bad I guess yeah it's an interesting I mean, this is an extension of the thing that they always do, which is like look at how much money we bring into the economy and look all of these businesses that we help enable and.

"These widgets and I, don't see them because version of fantastic out we're using is the Beta and it was not yet but it is now. People are also confused about something you said about the care weather widget and. When we say I think I mean primarily our friend todd friend of the show todd. Listener Todd. But Mr Carrot, MR, Brian Carrot explains what's going on there. So I'd mentioned that the widget I was using for carrot weather was changing throughout the day. Appropriate conditions and people thought that I was using multiple widgets but it wasn't. A widget type that and I think they've the think car whether develop a Brian has added some gestures into the most recent update, which lets you control this a little more. But basically, the medium size versions is came from Brian of the snark and forecast widgets I was using and I'm using the forecast widget. mathematically switches between our daily data throughout the day. So if you put the hourly daily widgets into a stack though they would automatically rotate at least one, you can put two idiots in the stack and they'll rotate or if you put the for the for the hourly and daily. But if you put the snark, the forecast, they changed their time horizon so that they're telling you what happens that day. Early. In the day and then late in the day when it's not relevant anymore, they'll tell you what happens the next few days and furthermore that forecast which it will give you a rain information rain is happening. Yeah. So it's fantastic implementation of a widget. This is one of my favorites so far because it is so small, it feels like it has a brain of its own, which is kind of. A wonderful thing like it feels like it is one of I've seen a few things that is but this this widget for sure feels like it's doing more than I thought could be done and this is one of those things where the carrot where the widget is updating information throughout the day based upon what it seems to be logical for the time that I need which I mean I know the. "And the overall visual design improvements of widgets. All of that I think has come together to create something, which is so much better than expected it to be and develop continue to do really cool with it fun useful things with this technology. So I think I think apple will make widgets more functional over time. percent. Guarantee that I. Will have much more features for wages because it's been such a smash. However I will say that that some of the stuff they took away and going from the old style, which it's the new style, which is I think a philosophical decision, which is apple feels like which aren't apps right which it shouldn't be a thing that you entirely like tap a bunch of different buttons and get an answer and stuff like the Pekao quit right. It feels like that was not what their intent was that they would to be glancing or very simply interactive that said, I look at what the limitations are on. We just now and I think they could be more interactive than they are and I think that will come next year. But they they do. philosophically they don't want it to be a replacement for an APP. They wanted to be a very simple kind of interaction but yeah. So unexpected. That like I didn't expect that I would create a get hub project for the first time but here's what that's where I am because I. I wrote that article about using the air quality the Purple Air Quality Network. To make a widget saying what my nearby air quality was and I pasted into gist which party get hub and I had like. Multiple people like me code contributions and say, Oh, I changed this to add a gradient and I added that I moved this into a subroutine. Here's what I did and I realized Oh this is like a project with contributors so I actually will pulling show chauvinists but I actually put it up so uses the script APP. And and actually the version that's up there now uses the Beta, the new Beta, the script lap because the developer of keeps adding new features but yeah, I, posted that I mean like I I wouldn't. You would never have. I would never have bet that something like that would have happened but I wanted that widget because we've got like wildfires and stuff this season and the widget seemed to be really useful way for me to do that and other people seem to want to and just sort of snowballed. So I'm not a developer and yet I have to get her project now I told Casey. Lists immediately that had project because and he is into that sort of thing and within five hours I had somebody. Asking me for a whole bunch of features that are beyond the scope of the project which I feel like is it's almost like. A light goes off somewhere and say, okay, there's a new a new project that from somebody who's never had a project before it's time to Hayes them. So why don't you ask for scope creep and a whole bunch of features that are not relevant and see what he says and what I said was. Again within five hours I said, well, if you want those features, you should just fork this project do yourself because I'm not adding. So I truly am now a developer of software apparently on the Internet. Congratulations Y- boy, it's great. But the fact is that widget that I built is way better now because of the contributions of people who actually know what they're doing. So that's awesome by the way did you know that we preannounced software last week? Yeah. Pretty bad about that. They were nice about it. So we mentioned how great the fantastic L. widget is. It wasn't out yet. By a couple of days I mean it was it was it was it was super super close to being to being released. Yeah. It's a it. They were. They're nice about it and it's all part of the marketing I. Guess. But like you mentioned these widgets and I, don't see them because version of fantastic out we're using is the Beta and it was not yet but it is now. People are also confused about something.

I complained about how I felt like the standard ring calculation is not the however it's using it sensors to determine how you're standing or not standing that it's super. Ineffective Super Inefficient. I stand all sorts of time. I'm told you should stand. Yeah I get really angry at that is so interesting that the senses in the Apple Watch so The. So advanced in some ways like the hand washing one, for example, like it really does know when I'm washing my hands but yet still off to all this time continues to have issues with over standing up on. This is my point is that I made last week is the handwashing thing is a they did a machine learning algorithm. Which I think is super clever, and this is what machine learning is good for right which is you measure what the watch measures when people wash their hands. And, you feed that into the algorithm. and it learns how it builds up a model of understanding what it needs to see in the sensors. Because the that watches an person doesn't can't look around and say Oh look you're washing your hands it's just got it sensors. But if you can say, these are all the Times that you. Wash your hands in these all the sensor data you can train it to be pretty smart about like this person's washing their hands. I don't think they did that. Did that properly for the the stand algorithm, in fact, my guess is that the stand thing hasn't been touched in years. And that's what I was saying last week is do that train us some advanced machine learning to do a better job of understanding when people are standing or not and I say all of this because we got a lot of feedback from people who said Oh Jason it's really easy. If you want trick your watch into thinking that you're standing, you make sure you hold your arm straight up and down like just put it down at your side for at least a minute and then it'll trigger it and it'll give you credit which I appreciate the help but my goal here is not to cheat nor is. It to hold my arm at a weird angle that is uncomfortable just to trick the stupid Apple Watch into thinking that I'm standing whether I am or not. My point is I want my Apple Watch to understand what I'm freaking standing like I don't want Trickett I don't Wanna I don't WanNa have to hack the stupid thing to know when I'm standing or not. It should know when I'm standing. So that's my point I appreciate all of the help of people who who, apparently just sit on their couch and let their arm dangled down for a minute every hour and are killing it on the blue ring. Also heard from people who don't see this as a problem and I think the answer there is their body motions obviously work with whatever algorithm is in the Apple Watch now, and mine obviously doesn't I guess when I'm standing I'm not letting my arms dangle by their sides, my left arm where my watches I duNno, we've all seen you. I've seen you you when you stand you stand perfectly still right and we've all seen Jason Do is do because the Aliens Honduras based movement? Stay still the alien slash dinosaurs can't see exactly but I want my Apple Watch to know that I'm still standing and give me credit for it. We started talking about, which is last week announcing style it because I think is going to be I will say before we get into talking about witnesses kind of the point this has been one of those very rare features that ends up being a bigger deal than we thought it was going to be when apple announced and that step certification case of wages and not just because of everything we were talking about. Last time you know with like the the customization everything going on which it Smith and with that kind of incredible stuff. But also just my daily usage of widgets is higher than I would have expected it to be because one of the things that we were talking about the time was when we found out that these witches were non interactive, right that like that, you couldn't have buttons, they would always open application. When you tap on the matter, what it is that you're doing that kind of stuff and there was a concern that like it's not going to be as good as it used to be. But I think that what we have seen now is it was the best case scenario the I puzzled time, which was what we lose in functionality. We gain in general designed the ability to play some amore successes in better. orientations especially on the IPHONE, we.

"The season I eight right now would agree with that but again this is this is early days for everybody sure there are two teams that division three wins packers and bears then he had the vikings. I think you know nor can I believe about the bears but I think that you start to think about what what that division race looks like and again. I think that I think I picked the vikings to win the division. The packers moved the wildcard is correct. You did okay and I probably would switch those right now. if I had to I I don't know where do you think the Vikings sitting at division. I think they look like the worst team. Will we said that the bears were the worst team four days ago I mean like fortunes rising ball in the NFL all the time. I kinda think I one thing I'd want to avoid boyd is just sort of jumping on and off bandwagon with exceptions thing with the exception of the Danny Diamonds Bandwagon for driving full bore and we're just a completely we would. He is by like week seven if he if he beats the Vikings I we have to like and the ion even know. I don't even know the ban point game. The bears dismantled the Vikings today. Oh no I watch it was terrible. They could could not move the ball. It was terrible but again I just I want to avoid every Sunday. Night is complete overreacting to the events of the day. I don't think now your rice and I don't think the Los Angeles Rams are worse than the Tampa Bay box. I don't go there. I don't think that the Baltimore Ravens even that much worse than the Cleveland Browns like we saw on Sunday. I just think that sometimes things happen. I think that what we learned on Sundays at the bears defense is really really good. We already knew that and it's GonNa take me a little longer to get off the Vikings bandwagon than than just the last couple of weeks. I tend to agree with you. I do think that they have a lot of talent. I just worried about what their offense is going to look like. When Kirk cousins has to carry you see what Adam Field said? I did not see that he said some Chad graph tweet of said quote at some point you're not gonna be able to run the ball for one hundred eighty yards even with the best running back in the NFL. That's when you have to be able to throw the ball you have to be able to have the deep balls and sounds did not today that that is exactly my thought right now. Yeah I just think that when there's they are forced to step outside of this very specific approach that they seem to be struggling right now and when you're paying your quarterback thirty million dollars it's really frustrating to not be able to have a passing game. That's correct that's it. I believe in a lot of the talent that they have. I just think that when they're forced to go to plan B. Right now plan B. is not working for them agree with the next challenge so I have to I don't know what's going on in Atlanta or now. It's a it's a problem. I didn't watch enough of that game. I was at a wedding shower today so so my wedding shower wedding shower was wedding brunch a wedding. I am officiated. I was watching so it wasn't like a bridal shower. I was a wedding shower a wedding brunch. I was so just a Brunch to celebrate. An upcoming wedding. Correct was like an engagement party is that's okay engaged. Tracks Jamarcus Mariota's the only quarterback I would of course I want more details about this but I'm going to get back to the thousands or quick. It's more we know. The game was on a smaller screen that I would normally be watching it that that's one of the games that fell by the wayside today okay. I was looking at the score. It'd be like what's going on there. Marcus Mariota is the only quarterback to start every game this season and not turn the ball over take that for data take sat data. They are a confounding football. I think Matt Ryan had like three hundred ninety something yards today which would be good but they definitely I did not have a touchdown like what what are we doing here. Thirty five completions three hundred ninety seven yards zero touchdowns zero interceptions devante. No one had more than twenty eight yards rushing three freeman things just bizarre no. I don't know what's going on there. It's just I can't even diagnosis it really. It's just strange. It's Seattle the other one range okay. Andy Reed's post win victory speech. I have not no he. He said Hey said Mozart made some not every not every painting that Mozart painted was a masterpiece but hold on he said but the lesson is that they all sold for a million dollars. Here's his here's kind of sewer in Andy Reed's defense. I will say this. He's right about one thing. He officially didn't say that that Mozart was a painter. He just said that that most of Mozart's paintings sell for a million dollars they probably that's what I'm getting eating at. If Mozart painting was unearthed in twenty nine hundred absolutely self-rule million dollars. What's your favorite Mozart painting? Do you have one there. I celebrate comprise entire catalog of paintings. It's like picking a childhood favourite show all of his paintings. It was great. I it was that because of the extended analogy that that it was gonNA sell for a Million Dollars I assume in Picasso there I mean I that would be. He's the most famous he's the most sort of artist you would go to in that situation situation. NFL head coach do you think has the most just well rounded art knowledge. I probably know the answer if I thought dot about it. I don't know I don't know many. NFL coaches are super into art. It would surprise me if one had a really detailed understanding of nineteenth century artwork similar the executives do but I'm trying to think of actual actual coaches. I'm trying to rack my brain. I don't know I don't know yeah. I don't know I I I got nothing for you. I'm trying to figure this out. We'll figure this out. We'll get back to hiking later. We was wasn't author coach who takes their guys to museum is taking the guys to museums for game and then it's GonNa drive me crazy on Thursday. We could figure it out. Let's get back to this short. Answer is not Andy Reid yet all right before we get out of here tomorrow's headlines. What are we again into? What are we going to talk about for the next couple of days? I think there's just going to be overreaction to a bunch of two and two teams yeah. It was a weird week. I think it's kind of hard to build like about a lot of stuff. I think there's GonNa be weird. Panic buttons hit for teams that don't necessarily need to hit it like. I think there's probably going to be kind of a weird even though we've done this already but I probably over action to the rams game. This rams are definitely. Don't turn the ball over a lot I had to I the vikings overreaction to I think though probably be an even listen they were real bad but like the the falcons there's still just one and three they can. They can do something to salvage a season at some point but I do think there'll be a little bit overreaction. I listen the only teams right now. This should be like our season is over. Absolutely over are the dolphins the redskins in the broncos. Everybody else's at least like you're in and the jets. I'm sorry I forgot that they were. They were football team they didn't they didn't lose today so those other guys they're on the bye week and so I forgot they existed so yeah I would throw them so those are the four teams because even the bengals they've been in it. You know so I don't necessarily surly and the broncos lost at the Ravens lost today so in other ravens or two into your onto games back in that division if you put on me for the the bengals playoff ron yeah. I'm just saying that matter the fact that you're not I mean if you're wanting to like. Let's say the Bengals or one in three after tomorrow or owned four. If you're an division with the chiefs of the Patriots that's a different story than if you're an individual with two two and two teams I love it here. Come the bengals that also they play the bengals the steelers both of whom are winless play tomorrow night. Yes they do so one of the game I am not I would go as far to say that if one whoever loses that game there she's as might be over. That's fair all right. That's all we got as always guys. Thank you so much for listening to the ringer. NFL show on the Ringer podcast network we'd back on Thursday. Yeah it says episode is brought by floor.

"I can tell you right now. Including someone that I think a lot of people have been looking for for a long time to go ahead and finally break through the potential of Matthew Stafford who we've talked about Ad Nauseam over the past what four or five years now almost about being that next great quarterback and he just gives you that potential like like once or twice every year to say you know what I got to go ahead and make sure he's on my fantasy team more. I gotta go ahead and start him but he had another great weekend this past weekend so I ask you. My friend is Matthew Stafford who is available on a lot of waiver wires out. There is someone you need to pick up and izzy someone that feasibly really could start for a team that didn't do so well this past weekend well up until recently he was the number one paid quarterback in the NFL so they're paying him for reason. He's always it was the number one pick for a reason Matt Stafford a good quarterback. Matt Stafford has never been given the tools that he needs to be ultra successful. He's never for head a super great offensive line as far as pass protection goes they've gone into the season a few times expecting to have a top offensive line especially like three or four years ago bill when they were like clear-cut favorites to win the NFC Norris Division and didn't win it but I mean again like we said the Brownsville the browns land lines until proven otherwise it as a cubs fan I sympathize with the browns and lions I really do but I actually would take Matt Stafford especially because I think Golladay just so good and somebody's gotTa Feed Galaxy and it just so happens that Matt Stafford is the hand that feeds Golladay holiday you know and they do have a pretty decent running back on that team as well not a lot of depth there. They don't have golden tate anymore. They don't have Calvin Johnson. Johnson probably the best receiver of pure natural talent ever but yet the Golladay those I I mean I I really really like and the fact that they're going to be behind most of the time it helps out Matt Stafford so now I mean there's a lot of people who are rushing to pick guys like Josh Allen. Go ahead. You'RE GONNA cut him in in two weeks so we'll I want to ask you one last question on the waiver wire issues and and Dalton it by the way to ask you if you had a choice right now because I tell you what for for my leak. There's a lot of available quarterbacks out there that did really well over the past weekend but some of it could be fool's gold so I WANNA ask you. Are you buying on any of these names case keenum Marcus Mariota Andy Dalton or Josh Allen like you said he's had so many shot so many different places and he's always been mediocre so I'll pass Josh Allen. Maybe because I mean he's still younger right. He's not he's only is this third year. Am I missing. Something here leaves third yeah so I mean that's certainly possible that he takes the next step. He's got a good running back now. We talked about him earlier with single angled Terry Possible Josh Shallan. I cannot believe what I saw Andy Dalton. I also cannot believe that's going to be normal so I certainly would not you. You see me taking Andy Dalton. We know any Dalton. He is who we thought he was to use that line again cycle year for by the way for Josh Allen for Josh Allen Yeah so I mean that's the suggestion certainly a guy that you can look at especially if you're a dynasty or keeper league that he's probably available but I would certainly look at Josh Allen on as somebody who could make that big leap and second year of all the guys that are out there looking at some the list now darnold is useless Fitzpatrick's useless keenum. I think is is useless. The one guy who is questionable who's on a lot of waiver wires is Marcus Mariota so I mentioned before Marcus Mariota throws to my daughter's cousin so I want him to do well but I just don't I mean I wasn't that sold on Marcus Mariota College College. Just I mean it just didn't it just didn't it wasn't sexy to me for some reason sorta like Melvin Gordon. I don't really have a lot to base that on but but I just never liked him but then we've seen what had happened in his career and he's been a bad quarterback. I don't know what the hell happened in that game. I mean that game when I think that they were I had my confidence boy had Cleveland at number eleven now maybe I bought into the hype too much but Tennessee's not a good football team so could narrow to get you some garbage points sure but Subaru. You have to ask yourself. Who's going to be the better chance to if you definitely need need a quarterback. which at this point? I don't know why you need a quarterback this early because nobody got hurt this week. I I'm guessing. You're picking him up. As a speculative pick maybe of Dak or Lamar and you're not super sold yet so you're like yeah you know. Maybe one of these guys might be better in a few weeks and you may very well be right. I just don't think it's Andy. He Dalton and I don't think it's Marcus Mariota Alan on the other hand. What's the worst that could happen. Cut Him. You know so I would. I would lean towards Alan. I'm going to disagree with you slightly on that. Josh Allen has potential but I'M GONNA go with Andy Dalton reason why he's going to he's going to throw more. He's going to get more temps. Uber's he does have better receivers and he's GonNa get a lot of volume. If you're into volume. You're going to get a lot from him. Coming through for over four hundred yards folks this past weekend. Threw three touchdowns did fumble twice so that's kind of concerning to me and you're. GonNa see some interceptions from him you have do you have negative. Points is a big thing with Andy Dalton yeah so I mean but he he's scored twenty over the weekend so I think right now for me of that list probably go with Andy Dalton would be probably my best pick out of that bunch but if you're able to go ahead and get Stafford and he still reach reach for the waiver wire. That would probably be my first choice of them. I I would agree. I think Stafford over Dalton for sure Stanford over Allen for sure Stafford over Marietta data I think as well Oh yeah and Moses Moreno over Mariota until proven otherwise fair enough fair enough. My friend has been a great episode. Thanks so much again to control sixty for again asking some great questions out there. I cannot thank him enough. "Mayfield same thing haven't had a bad week also so ben Rothlisberger bad we also I own all these guys right so in a variety of different leagues but Lamar Lamar Jackson looks really good. Kids fast got a good arm. I still have some questions about about his receiving core but but so far it looks like the truth Baker Mayfield and the browns. Are you selling on them early on the hype all that much. I know there was a lot of hype going in but I'd just something just kind of kept me back from going ahead and buying in on on one hundred percent. I'm an after week one. I'm Kinda glad I did well. You know delanie. Walker said something very funny. He said they are who we thought they were. He was obviously quoting the late. Danny Green after that debacle of Oh comeback against the that the bears had against them was the two thousand Rosen and six. I WanNa say so got time. Flies doesn't it so the thing with the browns is like is this until proven otherwise still the browns uh-huh but it's hard not to buy in with that roster you so it's I I would say you're certainly Lina Dump Baker Mayfield right now. If you are then you're out of your mind you know but he also aren't. GonNa Trade Him Right now. Because someone will offer you Dak Prescott like I guarantee you. There are people offering DAK Prescott for Baker Mayfield right now. Why are they doing well because they're thinking you're Mad Abakar. Look at what acted but I want the actual guy who's going to be a better quarterback for the year low. Sell exactly we'll be right back with more fantasy football a listener Dutch here from voice from the underground the podcast mycosis and I want to invite you to check out our little corner of the podcast verse at voice from the underground. We talk about all the crazy crazy happening around us. Try to make a little bit of sense are the nonsense with little to no results. If the idea of hearing three semi intelligent outspoken nerds talk about politics social issues current events sports movies pretty much anything that we decide to talk about because well. It's our show appeals to you. Grab your shoveling. Come on down in the underground around and then consult a qualified psychotherapists finest. Wherever you get your podcast not where you buy your wheat from the underground I want to ask you real quick in regards regards to Antonio Brown before we get to the waiver wire pickups and whatnot as far as our suggestions on that Antonio Brown there. Were more allegations filed in. I believe leap before to court in regards to some rape allegations that were made he is now a member of the New England Patriots and WanNa ask you I mean he's not virtually every team out. Thirty people picked him up. Even despite all the drama they drafted him high and in a lot of people are now questioning the fact that is this going to be a good time to still start him to still play him because as of this recording he's still expected to get some playing time as early as two for the New England patriots so if you're a tim owner and you have Antonio Brown on your team. Are you a little bit trepidation as far as actually putting him into the starting lineup well. Let's I'm GonNa read for you the press statement from the Patriots which was at eight fifty six. PM Pacific Time today just like an hour ago we are aware of the civil lawsuit that was filed earlier today against Antonio Brown as well as the response by Antonio's representatives. We take these allegations very seriously under no circumstances this organization organization condone sexual violence or assault the League as informed as they will be investigating. We'll no further comment while that investigation takes place that tells me he's playing as if there was a doubt right well Kareem Hunt. You got cut right afterwards so you know it's you never know what's going to happen happened. The Patriots are team that has historically taken on trouble guys and in almost every case except for Chad Johnson Ocho Cinco. It's worked. I caution people. You know it's like first of all. This is not a joke. This is if the sexual misconduct is is serious stuff. You know we talk about sexual misconduct all time. I'm not going to go into that but like. Is that a reason to not. Start someone on your fantasy team. Well I know is it worth it to you to to possibly lose your matchup because of something that has nothing to do with you because of a button on your phone if your ethics and morals were that high great mine aren't and and and I say that food fully aware that I'm not trying to take away from from what happened you know we have a guy in the the White House who is got seventeen such accusations so you know but doesn't stop him from being president so you know it's the Supreme Court two but this happens a lot with athletes. We have very rice Addison Russell Ben Rothlisberger who magically no one talks about but yeah like there's the tendency for people just assume he's guilty. We don't have to go into wide. You'll be playing painfully obvious but at the same time he's he's kind of a jerk so you know Antonio Brown's a jerk so it's like if you have a chance to cut bait on Antonio Brown right now. Someone's willing to give you something for him. Really smart move to do so. I am so happy that I don't have any Antonio Brown any my leaks. I don't have to worry about this but if you do have them you you're you're you're. You're silly to not start. The says not stardom. I just you really got to start looking for other options. Because if there is any credibility of this claim whatsoever it probably won't come out for a while you know civil lawsuits probably a month and a half court date down the road and his lawyers probably get it but if there's something credible here he will get suspended probably for six games at the minimum so really should start looking for something if you can make a trade for someone like a Willfuller or something like that for him. At this point might not be the catch he made my God somebody around that area like maybe wr to or if you need a running back somebody's hurting. They might take a chance if they're deep at running back within it receiver. I would certainly started thinking about looking to get away from it but again like I don't. I have never been been a guy who has said I'm going to take personal ethics. I WANNA be friends with Antonio Brown not really do. I have a problem with typing his name into a computer screen and hoping he wins me a couple of bucks yeah. I'm fine my dad so you know it's there are people though who will cut him because because of this we get cut by like sixteen thousand Yahoo Teams today guess what is going to be picked up by fifteen thousand nine hundred ninety nine so you know it's it. If if you want to do that that's fine with you. It's says nothing to do with real life. It's fantasy I think I I think that you know early on as something. He's GonNa be a play for a lot of people people I think of. Maybe you know because the the you know the stuff the allegations that's that's now hanging over his head and you know that could be more of a sense of desperation to try and get numbers out of him any type so we could see a lot of Antonio Brown early at least two weeks to three or four Argonne play him but yet he safer few weeks trading. It would probably be my at my best option. It is again. These charges could be false. You know let's look at Derrick rose perfect example. Let's look at the Duke Lacrosse team. These things happen but you know. It's important that we take the claim seriously but don't don't involve it with fantasy though right. It's got nothing to do with fancy football. That's a real life issue fancy fancy but before we head to the waiver wire our pickups and players that you need to go for on your wire as soon as you hear this because a lot of your your fellow team owners are Gonna go ahead after those players as well. I want to answer one last question right here from although if you have more lay him on as my friend because we just truly appreciate it but his latest question that you wanted to ask us he was a little bit concerned learned over the four targets. Brandin cooks got it time to panic. No it's the rams. I mean this the all out as far as Los Angeles. You're never GONNA get. I think like a ton of targets nine ten eleven twelve each and every week you're only scored but depending on your scoring system the ball even when he you're exactly right but he's not going to score eight to ten fantasy points on the regular so that's one of the reasons. I mean if you're you're running. Your wide. Receivers can only do what your quarterback do. You know so if you've got three receivers zero because Robert Woodson landed on fire either you know neither did Cooper Cup. I mean better days than Brandin cooks but still that's GonNa flip around so you've you can't really worry about that right now against only week one so you're still starting cooks every week until if he doesn't six this weeks in a row maybe you should start not looking at brandin cooks. I would say earlier I give it to three weeks if two threes only getting three or four targets and like you're in contrast sexy yes it seemed like he was focusing on Cooper Cup and Robert Woods of you've got them on your team out there and you know that's something you obviously want to take take into focus but I think as far as way he spreads it out. He's still you know todd. Gurley gets to get some love as well so you gotTA. I remember a lot lots going his way as far as the offense and if I had brandin cooks on my team I would be kind of worried or ready that if any game he's going to have over the course of the season I think it's going to be. I think it's going to be touching go. I think it's going to be feast or famine. When it comes to brandon coach. He's going to have those games where it's going to be seven receptions a hundred and fifty yards and two touchdowns and he's going to have a Lotta Games like he did week one. I think it's going to be all over the place so I mean for me. He seems like a good flex but you must have too strong receivers ahead of them as well because he could be someone that could win you games each and every week on those weeks that he's hot hot but as consistent wide receiver. That's GonNa be tough because it looks like already that again when when the chips are down and Dan if Gotha it is in any type of duress he's GonNa start focusing more on cup in woods and I think you nailed it control sixty when you said that he's GonNa Focus on Cooper and Robert Woods majority of the time anybody who has brandin cooks out there including you control. Steve you've got up. I would kind of be concerned earn but he's going to be that type of individual. That's going to have those big games than disappear for two or three weeks. I don't completely disagree but mostly I do. I would still take cooks over the other two guys really yeah until proven because Robert Woods is not going to get. Pr League Robert Woods is probably a pick or two ahead if if you were to redraft every week then of cooks but I'm not worried about brandin cooks at all yet. It's that ball's.
