"All right so jack. I wanna ask you in case here. I want to bring you know both in russian. Well i i. i didn't know i don't know. Yeah sure they're pushing march. Okay i just want to make sure she listening now apologize. You'll have to listen. I just wanna make sure you felt include. My question is for the world of college football. Is this just what an elite team looks like now. Because last year i thought lsu with their abundance of offensive weapons and their defense. That would do well enough when asked to do well enough. Their abundance of offensive weapons. Your march as justin jefferson owned and on. They had a great tiny and moss. Right that is most and they had. Joe burrow a great quarterback they had clyde edwards helaire. They had all these weapons. That just kept coming at you. They put up eye-popping popping numbers. I didn't think i'd ever see that again in my life when i saw it again. This year I saw the exact same thing from alabama. It was mack jones. It was devante smith. It would have been jail. Wachovia handgun hurt. It was the office of line. It was nausea hairs. They just scored you living. They didn't care if their defense had a great night didn't matter they were going to score their fifty. And if you could keep up maybe it's a game if you can't find by. Here's my question for you when you look back at last year's lsu's defense did you. Like i know. And i'm not. I'm not talking to you right now like i know. You had questions about alabama's defense all year. I can't remember last year. Did you have the same questions rally events so then yet then this is what call our reference that texas game where they gave up thirty eight. It was early in the season but by the end unless defense was just a lot better. So then you're so than the answer is this is what elite teams look like. This is like an offense that does not give a shit. How many points. Their defense gives up because they will score more than that. Lsu two thousand nineteen alabama. Two thousand twenty are almost carbon copies of each other do. Don't you agree. Do you agree or do you think there. I mean there might be some cosmetic differences. Well the biggest one would be doors. Ron nick sabin. Oh yeah that one's once coach. Well once coach well from the assistance. Yeah no they. I think the debate and you save it for later. Its who's who had the better offense because that's how similar they were just dominant on offense and i think they. It's the craziest part about alabama is that arguably not arguably because we saw great vonda was but who we thought their best receiver was coming to. the season. didn't play beyond the tennessee game. So i will say one of the arguments that an fans are giving and should be giving no. I'm saying it's because they did have to play against jalen waddell to just point that out. Well somebody so you were telling me earlier. An fans really should be talking right now i they sure sliding in i just i just well because you just brought up jalen waddell. We thought was going to be the best receiver on the alabama was at full strength at the time. But i think the problem when you had to play devante smith for four quarters. Yeah see now. You're gonna start talking me into this argument When i look at lsu last year and alabama this year the biggest thing that stands out to me is that lsu just hadn't been there in so long lsu was the team of destiny joe burrow. Was this guy that no one was going to be who he was they. Had you know just everything surrounding that team. Which made it pop more but alabama's just so used to being here and so used to being dominant that even when you look at the numbers you still like. My gut wants to be like. Well no i would still take lsu in two thousand nineteen because of how flashing and everything. They were but in reality. You can't do that when you look at alabama's offense and i'm not saying i would take alabama this year. But that's what's the difference. One of the most you make a choice. I in this right in this moment. But i'm saying i mean it was. We said it last year with lsu like just even seeing the purple and gold like that was a new thing to see mack jones. Do we want to go back to win. Playoff starter. postseason started. Because since the postseason started he went four hundred eighteen yards. Two hundred ninety seven yards four hundred. Sixty four yards five touchdowns four touchdowns five touchdown. So since the sec. Championship game started. He has fourteen touchdowns he ends twelve hundred yards. He is unbelievable. He through one pick in the championship games of thirty six completions. Four hundred sixty four yards outbreaks boroughs record five touchdowns and no picks now the one mistake which gave ohio state life and i knew it was a game. It was twenty seven seven game as a fourteen fourteen. It was a maybe twenty one seventeen. It felt it looked like a game in the first half or most of the first half but it wasn't because ohio state scoring points was pulling teeth. They were they were. They were getting down the field but they weren't getting down. Alabama was just a cash register. Man give me the money thing. Here's your change. Only get a field goal off of the turnover. No they gotta. They gotta touchdowns whatever possession was. Fourteen seven alabama goes because the fallback. They're leaving fourteen seven. There are really making a problem. That's the turnover having this fourteen fourteen. You gotta possession was that that could have made it twenty one twenty one and they kick the field goal..

twelve hundred yards Sixty fourteen touchdowns Joe jalen waddell Ron nick sabin justin jefferson last year first half Two hundred ninety seven yards five touchdown Alabama one pick this year This year four hundred twenty seven seven game vonda fourteen five touchdowns

"Yeah. That was basically what I was looking for is how you balance the studs. And the guys you think you'll do really well versus you know, trying to be countered different than everybody else. So you actually have a chance like in a tournament actually win it. Yeah. And as we go through each game, you know, I'll definitely make sure to point out. Hey, you know, this guy is probability is probably pretty low. But he also does have big playability, you know, and and we can adjust for that. Okay. Let's do it. And we'll just go in order. So we'll start with the Texans and the colts where the Houston Texans are hosting the Saturday four thirty PM eastern time wildcard game for the thirty seventh consecutive year, which I believe is a record. Yeah. This is the best game on the slate. Also. And I think it's oddly scheduled because the the colts just played on Sunday night football. And you know, why wouldn't we stretch them out to to Sunday instead of making them play on Saturday? And then why are we having the chargers? Play in a one PM eastern time game in Baltimore one of the furthest eastern locations in the NFL. I think that it would have been nicer if we could get the colts Texans on in that that later or that that earlier Sunday start as opposed to. And then have the ravens chargers in this in this slot. But here we are. And then I can can I answer that for you by absolutely because all they care about is the television ratings and the dollars. Because this is pro football. It's a business and the bears eagles as well. As cowboy Seahawks are going to get much bigger ratings than ravens chargers and Texans colts. So everything they do is ratings driven, and we could debate whether or not they should do more more of it should be a competitive thing where the colts shouldn't have to play back to back road games night game short old thing in the chargers. But you know, it's not like it's a Sunday to Thursday at least six days for everybody. And in their mind. You know, it's all about the ratings and the to NFC games are just much just going to do much bigger numbers for them, ratings wise. Okay. Well this first game is the best game for fantasy on the entire slate. The total is forty eight forty eight and a half. The next highest total was like forty three forty three and a half the game is going to be played indoors. When these teams played in the regular season. Both games were pretty high scoring. Andrew luck had three hundred ninety nine four hundred sixty four yards passing in both of these teams regular season meetings..

"Maybe he just reverses the trend this year and get the red hot over the next four weeks in wins a bunch of people some championships, by the way, Kyle notes in gold. Go situations this year the patriots have twelve rushing touchdowns and seven passing touchdowns. Let's move along to Andrew luck. I just mentioned do I do like this week because. Andrew luck absent last week has been red hot. Right. And then throwing the ball at ton. We're gonna change about this. If I told you that a quarterback has at least eight passing touchdowns in at least three touch wou if I told you my head at least three passing touchdowns in eight of his nine games like that stat. Right, right. The problem is Andrew luck at zero passing touchdowns. As a matter of fact, the coal two zero points last week all that being said, we're not that far down on Andrew luck this week still close to a top ten play for us in our consists in our consensus ranks, Mike, it's funny. It's bench. He's been thrown it so much. Yeah. No question. I'm actually I think I'm lowest here, but I still from twelve so in twelve team leader still starting him. French fringe starter? You're if you have them on your team or most likely starting him, unless you just have you picked up James Winston, or you know, maybe you have one of these other superior options like Jared Goff, something like that. But here's the thing. And you kind of touched on it. He had the rough game last week prior to that he had been top ten at quarterback in eight straight games. And you mentioned three plus passing touchdowns in all eight of them games. You look back at the first meeting with the Houston Texans, forty of sixty two for four hundred sixty four yards and four touchdowns. He absolutely lift them up. One of his biggest games of the season. That was kind of one of his breakthrough games right and week four. So he he rolled against him on the other hand you mentioned tough Houston defense fourth fuse fantasy points the quarterbacks the past week. So there's pluses there's minuses I think he settles in as a fringe QB one. Andrew luck. And the colts really need this game on Sunday. Really do they want us to in the mix? I dunno Houston's not about losing bear. They are completely amazed losing is. You don't think of them? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't sit there and go Houston this team that never lose like they don't feel like there is dominant as they have been in the wind com, Houston, if you look at their schedule they might have the clearest path to thirteen wins amongst the non Kansas heritage AFC. Right. So like, I'm not saying it's a it's a guarantee, but like it wouldn't stunned me if Houston goes thirteen and three has a number two seed in the playoffs. You know question. I mean, we've seen the old line. At least be serviceable that was the big red five from me in the office. And they arguably hit the worst online situation coming into the season. And that's what kind of held you back from getting too excited. Then they start slow and you're like, Yep. It adds up three straight losses. The old line. Can't protect to Sean Sean started slow. But since then I mean, they have the the weapons offensively and they have terrific playmakers on defensively, especially on the edge. I mean that that's real with clouds, and I it's it's actually fun to watch. Because it wasn't so much speed on that team star power winning. I liked Bill O'Brien. I mean, they're they're in a good spot. We're gonna come back. Daffy take this quick break and talk about the man's league in the women's league in that ignored the celebrity has definitely top or break too much. Texans. Talk going on. Colts fan. If.

"And we love talking about America's team the Dallas Cowboys every week will give you an in depth. Look at what the Cowboys are doing and what we can expect from the Cowboys guys. You know, the spiel it's me Michael Sizemore, you can follow me on Twitter at missile size. You can follow my co host, Mr. Tom Royal, he is the Walter Matthau to my Jack Lemmon the aren't Anderson to my Rick flair. And honestly, I think DeMarcus Lawrence was RIC flair this week because he talked and the rest of the guys back it up. The Cowboys got a huge win over the saints thirteen to ten on Thursday night football. We gotta talk about that. We gotta talk about a lot of things in the NFC my partner here. Tom rile. You can find him on Twitter at Tom row. BT, tom. What just what are your first impressions of that victory on Thursday night? I was born away by that. It was it was probably the last thing. I expected, you know, the whole key to the game was obviously if Dallas could slowdown drew Brees the saints offense. They did slow them down by slammed him in the face thrown to the ground. It was just a amazing. And then to have thirteen point stand up for the win against the saints. I. It. It's were looking at a team. That's very interesting because as I saw an article somewhere they have a SuperBowl caliber caliber defense based on all the evidence we've seen right now. They're peaking. They are just for Roche's. They are nonstop especially when the offense is controlling the clock which the Dallas offense. That's the one thing. They did all game pretty much was control the clock and keep drew Brees off the field for of it. Yeah. And you know, they just looked so good and so much as clicking. And now we just have to get the offense to be a little bit more productive because they were close, you know, the had fifty percent third down conversions which is excellent. They just stalled out and had a little bit of trouble in the second half against what is admittedly a very good New Orleans defense. Yes. Oh, it's just. And you're sitting here in many things with the Cowboys way on Sunday is just the path for them is not only clear there's more than one way they can make it to the playoffs now, and they are sitting in very good shape. Yeah. You know? So like I wanna play a little game wrote quick. I'm going to say how crazy was it to beat the saints. And you say how crazy what okay how? How crazy it was? Crazy. It was so how crazy was it to beat the saints. Tom. It was absolutely stunning. Yeah. It's done in a good word because in the last four games. The saints had outscored their opponents forty four to eighteen in their opponents were the Rams bingles eagles and falcons. Yes. And you know. You're you're left speechless. It's one of those things where you try to figure out what to say and words fail because it was so unexpected st- on the evidence of the season up to that point something that just should not have happened yet. The saints also another crazy stat here. I'm just going to throw them out there, Tom. We're going to go for it. Saints outgained their opponents four hundred sixty four yards three hundred thirty two.

"Count there slipped on caging. Oh, eight ten. Welcome back. One fifty six to go in the third quarter. Let's go down to Todd. What do you got for this attack of a struggle? My goodness. The difference the game. It's been a struggle for the fences. The defensive did really good. And I think that's probably what you're expecting. Chris Peterson is known for his offense of fireworks throughout his career. But he's always had really solid defenses. They can get stops when you need them. And just a Wilcox, of course that defensive background thrives entire coaching career. But it is a little surprising. And we'll see what happens with the huskies zero Jake Browning on the sidelines Hainer coming in. And again, the huskies with poor field position at another opportunity for what has been a really solid cow defense this afternoon back to give you a little background on j cater actually got to see him play at monta vista. Highest goal was an outstanding quarterback coach by Greg. Bergman one of the best high school quarterback coaches, head coaches in the bay area was fantastic. As a quarterback there through for eight thousand four hundred sixty four yards and ninety touchdowns while a quarterback for the Mustangs had. He's just a freshman outta damn Bill though. He's taken over at the eleven yard line Vialli regarded though for the future. Handoff off over the right thought, they get a nice running play. The take them out to about the thick sixteen yard line. And we'll see if they tend to go for more of that kind of game. Now with a quarterback change, Sean McGrew carrying the ball. Chris Palmer Louima ongo on the tackle five yard game. Take about it. The huskies have the leading all time passer and leading all time rusher both on the sideline right now. Well, we'll see if the bears could take advantage of the five yard game. Second five sixteen yard line. Painter six foot one nine. Another running play to work to get another first down to about the twenty three yard line. The ball was carried by pleasant. Always nice young quarterback. If you can get first downs rushing the ball when you first come into the game. Yeah. Kind of get relaxed a little bit. Yeah. Let yourself get into the game kind of get the juices flowing. It's it's hard coming off the back to the backup quarterback to get rid of everybody else has already up to speed. You have to catch up in a hurry. Alex punchers made that stop now. The huskies moving their tight ends around each side of the line. Quarterback by the way. Jake throws to the left sideline to an open receiver. But under throw it. And that was exactly what I'm talking about. As a backup quarterback. You have not been running around. You haven't been sweating. You haven't been playing again, you're not at speed that time he had an open receiver on the comeback on the outside. But he he isn't quite there physically. Biologically is up to speed with everybody else. The games happening. Very fast set is be short instead of delivering an accurate pass. Second in town. Obviously Chris Peterson trying to create a spark. He pulled it Jake Browning out of the game. He's trying to create something on offense. From the twenty three yard line by Dan moves over to the left side through sample here. Receivers out to the lap. Shotgun formation. And now the quarterback to call a timeout. Jake Hainer timeout. The time out Washington only their first of the second half and the score. Right now.

"So that's the question. Yeah, I think the word you used right there which is perfect is tight. I think the teams, they start to get the pressure and now the kids are starting to say, well, if we do this and we do this, we can go here and we could be here while the opponent doesn't care. They're just out there to play the game. They're playing loose. They're fired up because they're the under underrated team. And that's why we see these upsets in the last half of the year on you used the word to as well. That's appropriate kids in. That's what they are. Their kids and thus impressionable to the pressure and everything else. Yeah, absolutely. It it's, you know, everybody right now is saying everybody's gonna go undefeated the rest of the year. But I think out of the top five teams that we're looking at, you gotta figure two or three probably end up with a loss. So how do you handicap these situations as you look at the card? I know your big power ratings guy like any professional better, but you're also. You know, you gotta factor in sort of the the variables, and that's one of them to the spot as we talk about so often in the bedding space, what do you how do you produce that sort of game within the game in that regard? Well, you know when it comes to the big teams, you'll most like to go against them the latter part of the year because the spreads always inflated three or four points on the big name teams because everyone wants to get on them. You know, look what's happened, Alabama. They opened the season so strong and then the spread it's inflated. They've been back door three weeks. So I think when it comes to the big name teams, I tend to like to go against them and their final month of the year when everybody's saying, oh, they've got to win. But rally this have to win the football game. They don't care about covering the spread. They need to win the football game. And I think there were Ponant saw fired up for it. All right. Let's talk about some games this coming weekend last week, and you were nice enough to circle some higher profile games that a lot of attention. What, what jumps out at you this weekend? Well, you know, let's let's start with one game. If you wanna go. I don't really have anything super high profile this week. So let's go to the big ten for the first one. Let's go to Illinois against Purdue. And you know when I look at this matchup this week, here's the thing. I'm impressed with with Illinois. First of all, two and three. They're not a very three and two, but their, you know, their perception of Illinois are not a very good team though. And when you look at them, though they've got two running backs. Reggie Corbin and Mike Epstein. Now Koren's run for four hundred sixty four yards. He's averaging seven point nine yards per carry. Mike Epstein three hundred eighty seven yards. Six point eight yards per carry. They do have a run game. They run the football for two hundred sixty one yards per game. Five point six yards per carry. They ran the ball on Penn State for two hundred and forty five yards. They ran the ball and USF for two twelve, so they can run the football, their quarterback AJ Bush is back. He missed a game with injury, but he's. Back now and the team is doing I think three and with Bush's the starting quarterback lovey Smith fell in love with him over the summer and he's a transfer QB from Virginia Tech. It a couple of transfers, actually, I think for Bush. So he's doing well. There defensively, they're not overwhelming, but they're playing better than they have in the past years. Now produce coming off a bye and produce been very impressive. The last couple of games destroyed Boston College at home that went on the road and beat Nebraska, but still on the season. I mean, you look at the Nebraska game. They're outgained by sixty six years.

"You have. Enough. So something's out of Wellington's wrong, you boys you? No. Yeah, right. Sure. I help cowboy Kim play. I help out. Yeah, you'd advise him to gummy. I got a hip you so you finish good. So your first point was Romeo Cornell. Got that defense lockdown right though. I say, okay, checks the last time we saw q. Romeo's defense on the field. It was up in Indianapolis last Sunday, right? Andrew luck was throwing sixty two times in completing forty passes for four hundred and sixty four yards that was career-high completions and career high. That's better than that. I'm just saying that was Romeo cornell's defence forty completions four hundred sixty four yards. Four touchdowns for Andrew luck and no interceptions and they lost in overtime and it was a controversial decision by right, but it was thirty seven to thirty four. So that defense gave up thirty four points to Andrew luck and they were without TY he'll no. No, no, no, no. No. They without without t y Hilton late in the ball game, but he was. Gone for the, but he had dropped a buck fifty three on, but I'm just saying, what about Jack Doyle? So Houston's defense is twenty first in yards allowed and twentieth in points allowed. Is that good that is that what the Cowboys off? If you don't mind me asking where to Kabul them in yards game, I'm just saying points a lot writing about Romeo Cornell, and I'm just like, I don't know about where you, okay, we'll make your case for this. I kinda liked it offense. I believe that my Cowboys will win this football game because I believe my guy Dak Prescott and I love me some to Sean too, but I love me some back a little bit more. Dak Prescott will have his best game of the year against this defense on the Sunday night stage. One thing about my guy Dak Prescott that you, you will not acknowledge what an honor he rises and shines big moments, big stage, big challenge. What happened, Landon Collins called him out, but the ball index hands. Remember that was a big Sunday night. Game one way. Okay, I got it, but that was really good in that game. What was his line that week challenge accepted? What is he done? Three times that he's faced the you say, the best quarterback in pro football, Aaron Rodgers. What's happened in those three games to a Playoff playoff. too, but he played three of the best games of his career and he outplayed Aaron Rodgers each time. He faced him. Yes, he did. So the average QBR for these three games eighty for Dax sixty two for Aaron Rodgers. Really. That's pretty good. So at Lambeau as a raw rookie fourth round pick out of Mississippi State. He went up there and threw for two forty, seven and three touchdowns in a playoff game as a rookie against Iran, he threw for three, oh two and three touchdowns in last year at home to fifty one and three touchdowns and accuser of ninety seven against Aaron Rodgers. Those are big challenge games where you're up against the best Shannon, but we know the Green Bay Packers defense, the defense. I wanna make sure. So you like UB are and you say he's beating Roger, Aaron Rodgers weight Loss's he's two one. Well, I can't help it that Mason crossbar do Do that that skill. skill. He made to the most outrageous feels I don't know how they went through the uprights because one the game winner, he hooked dad left and it somehow straightened out and we didn't sign the left upright. I've never seen that neither of you in your history of watching, but you telling me that the Cowboys offense. No, you tell me about the Cowboys offense and what Andrew look to the Texas deepens. They can't dead Cowboys. Can't throw the ball, like Andrew luck that offense. He just dropped. He's just dropped three forty, five won't build ballot tax defense. And who do you like Bill ballot? Check a rod Marinelli when it comes to defense and minds, I got Chris Rashard from Seattle legion of boom you to into skim Dopp. Well, I got Dak Prescott and I think against this defense, he's going to have a big day because I agree with you. The premise will obviously be the goal will be put the ball and Dax hands on Sunday night football up against a young quarterback that he honors and respects in desha Watson, Dax, gonna, rise and shine this game. "Oh, you expect him getting nervous. Okay. I haven't had him from four games. Why should I go? And and you told this what you've been telling me for the last couple of years when the Cowboys defense doesn't have Sean Lee, they're in trouble. Charlene out Charlene's go that. Read why touchdown pass because Sean lead him play the reader, what is the line? Then blog because Sean lead in play, John lease out, you told me when Shali doesn't play bad things happen to the Cowboys. I got Layton Vander. Now Now you you liked it. head nickname tackle it. Does the tackling Dutch? Would you rather have the tackle in doing. Oh, no. Lee. You can eternally pulled Hamson. He was born with the pulled hamstring Sean Lee? Yeah, him either. He needs a aerobic capacity or his core or quad dominant because aids pliability news. You have. So something's out of Wellington's wrong boy. No, yeah, right. Sure. I help cowboy Kim a former play. I help out. Yeah, you'd advise him to eat gummy. I got the bay hip you. So you finish good. So your first point was Romeo Cornell. Got that defense lockdown right though. I didn't say okay. Chase, oh, the last time we saw q. Romeo's defense on the field. It was up in Indianapolis last Sunday, right? Andrew luck was throwing sixty two times in completing forty passes for four hundred and sixty four yards that was career-high completions and career-high better than that. I'm just saying that was Romeo cornell's defence forty completions four hundred sixty four yards. Four touchdowns for Andrew luck and no interceptions and they lost in overtime and it was a controversial decision by right, but it was thirty seven to thirty four. So that defense gave up thirty four points to Andrew luck and they were without TY he'll know memento of the day without without TY he'll late in the ball game, but he was. Gone for the dropped a fifty three on. But I'm just saying what about Jagd oil? So Houston's defense is twenty first in yards allowed and twentieth points allowed. Is that good? That is that what the Cowboys off? If you don't mind me where Kabul and yards game, I'm just saying points a lot raving about Romeo Cornell, and I'm just like, I don't know about where you, okay, we'll make your case for this. I kinda liked it offense. I believe that my Cowboys will win this football game because I believe my guy Dak Prescott and I love me some to Sean too, but I love me some back a little bit more. Dak Prescott will have his best game of the year against this defense on the Sunday night stage. One thing about my guy Dak Prescott that you, you will not acknowledge what honor he rises and shines big moments, big stage, big challenge. What happened, Landon Collins called him out, but the ball and Dax hands. Remember that was a big Sunday night. Game one way. Okay, I got it, but that was really good in that game. What was his line that week challenge accepted? What is he done? Three times that he's facing the you say, the best quarterback in pro football eras. What's happened in those three games to two, but he played three of the best games of his career and he outplayed Aaron Rodgers each time. He faced him. Yes, he did. So the average QBR for these three games eighty for Dax sixty two for Aaron Rodgers. Really. That's pretty good. So at Lambeau as a raw rookie fourth round pick out of Mississippi State. He went up there and threw for two forty, seven and three touchdowns in a playoff game as a rookie against erogenous. He threw for three, oh two and three touchdowns in last year at home to fifty one and three touchdowns and QBR of ninety seven against Aaron Rodgers. Those are big challenge games where you're up against the best Shannon, but we know the Green Bay Packers defense, the defense wanna make sure you like you be are. And you say he meeting near Roger Aaron Rodgers, light weight, Loss's he's to one well, I can't help it that Mason crossbar don't. Did he made to the most outrageous feels I don't know how they went through the uprights because one the game winner, he hooked dad left and it somehow straightened out and we didn't side the left upright..

"Way that they took the brave seriously because the Braves were in the rebuild a little bit longer and they got a not necessarily an MVP become able to great player in FREDDY Freeman that he's the guy that everybody knows. Yeah, look, I think I think that's the reason. I think the dodgers are better club, not just the more glamorous club but a better club. But you're crazy to overlook Atlanta. Because they were all year long. Maybe they would go in the pace of the tortoise, but they went steady the whole time thinking about the dodgers. And I been sort of rooting for the dodgers Tony when when the cubs are out of it. They are so mercurial. I mean, we pay a lot of attention on this show and others when they get hot and they will six out of seven. I got honestly auto took him so well, here's how I one hundred. They have streets that go the other way and they lose five in a row and they lose six out of seven, and they have those periods. And I don't know whether they're hot streak is over the when they got them including the single game, playoff the division title is that over and are they ready to take a dip? It's tough to the last year and this year and when they are good, they seem to me to be much better than every team in the National League. Are you concerned at all that Kershaw will not pitch game one? Do you wanna throw him into game one because I would not. They've learned their lesson. I think the dodgers have seen Clayton Kershaw on short risks, including at the hand of my Cubbies, get his butt whipped in the postseason a couple of times and they stopped at stupidity life and near. Now we'll feeding Clayton Kershaw the way he should be. I think there's a greater lesson lesson. He'll go sixth grade and be. On the seventh or he'll go five greatly better than the sex. Don't be afraid to take him out. Don't leave the other than that's imported less from both are needed to be learned. What was once the greatest rivalry in the AFC will be renewed tonight, the colts and the patriots, though it has been a dud lately, the colts heaven beaten, the patriots in their last nine tries Angelakas personally, Owen five against them, in fact, looks worse stats against any team come against the patriots. But last Sunday luck threw for four hundred sixty four yards and four touchdowns we'll which Andrew lucked you think we'll see tonight. It doesn't matter whether we see Andrew luck or John United s- with that uniform and helmet on the patriots to whip their butts and the patriots have on the field at the same time, something they don't get the Tom Brady doesn't get off it. He has element and you gronk out there. The patriots got tired of hearing after two weeks what they weren't. They went out there and just throughout the team last Ed theme, that's okay. Dolphins dolphins were undefeated at the time. If you're a good thing, the Indianapolis Colts gonna go down and they're going down hard and you know. So let me get to the game the edleman and gronkowski thing, which is interesting. The last time they were out there together. There's a great stat week, twelve of the two thousand sixteen season. Yeah, which means the patriots have been a two Super Bowls without them both on the field together. I differ from you in this regard. When I looked at the number today that it was Indianapolis plus ten. I thought that was an enormous number ten points. You think this is a creek here? Well, it doesn't matter the patriots are going to beat what you said. Was a betting man and that drove with you out to your other state of Delaware community. We can sit down and we could make a bet, and I would take the patriots tonight plus twenty two my stammering or Steiner's twenty. When I say plus to just the patriots are going to win this game by three touch to my point out. One thing what I have offense, it's not a gated community. It's not it's not a gated to me to try to cry savory drama out of the know when I've seen and gronkowski being on the field at the same time, maybe the launching pad..

"I in the Leah's hitting deep ause right now had seven sacks last week, and that came against the Texans. So you can take a few off that, but they are second only to the bears and sacks, and they are leading the NFL and tackles for loss. There was there was an old adage which I know you're aware of Greg that you would never bet against Peyton Manning and primetime he and painting. Mannix heyday. He was a beast. Andrew luck struggled in prime time in his career. One of his last six games, the colts of one. So I'm going to be really surprised, especially with them being short handed. If they go in there and compete a word and Andrew looks favor. Here we expressed quite a bit of skepticism about his arm. Then he went through for a career high with TY Hilton on the sideline in the fourth quarter, he's got a comeback attempt, sends the game to the last seconds with Zach Paschal Marcus Johnson Chester, Rogers, three undrafted receivers in a former basketball player. Undrafted name o. alley Cox on who I don't wanna hear anymore. Eli manning, I just don't don't give me any more. Your say, why Debbie cloudier coming after? Like if Andrew, looking at four hundred sixty four yards with an arm. That's not quite right. They weren't. They weren't only addicts yard passes either station. I have no idea why we're talking about just like all the excuses that are constantly made for ally manning and Andrew luck did that by the way. I do think as Mark mentioned, we'll see more of Jeff Gordon and he made a big impact. I feel I don't need that little more excited about Josh Gordon after these eighteen snaps didn't play much Arkansas wanna hear that. I I don't. That's great. Greg, that you Here's have. what I'll pulled Lombardi trophies that you're just walking around one in each arm erica's carrying the third. Now you're getting to be excited about Josh technikon though there, but he made too tough catches. He drew a penalty. He also drew exemption. Howard e broke a couple tackles e made a huge block. In other words, he's a monstrous Allenton wide receiver, right? So we are finally connecting the dots here, but we haven't seen that in a long time real. This guy is another. You talk about someone else being in an alien Alvin Kamara Josh Gordon when he's healthy and good is unstoppable. And you got them for nothing. About the Eli manning though. I mean, this is a so predict here. Let's cut through the BS. I got thirty eight seventeen pats in this game. What do you guys got. I don't think the pet score that many points I'll say. Twenty four twenty pats. I'll go twenty six nineteen twenty four to eight hundred eighteen. I like what I saw the pats defense, especially at home. Good stuff. All right. We'll recap this game. No one's locking up the patriots this week. I would suggest that, but listen it's a mirror check. That's all just look in the mirror. None of us ever. I never think about locking this early in the week. So the third candle elbows, none of us do except I did it with the Browns two weeks ago. So none of us not accurate. I said, I never get right. Let's let's end this podcast where a fight breaks out. We will be back tomorrow night with a recap of the game. We just previewed and then a preview of all the rest of the week, five games. That's what we do. And again, if you have not if you're not watching our Twitter show, we're having quite a lot of fun over there. So the video show you could find pinned on our pages and pinned on the around the NFL Twitter page. So make sure you check it out, give it again. They're ganders attorneys. People use it for. "Kane, and Aguilar. And now our CEA who for his for the first time in his life, there guy, Tony, David Stern who is there the brewers GM. He didn't get anywhere near the credit feel Epstein, but he they hunted down, the cubs caught them, and now they're the favorite in the National League. You and I both sat here. Last week, and we said that both the dodgers and the cubs went end up in wild card games, we'd remains to be seen if that's going to happen, the brewers went out, spent a lot of money on Cain, spend a lot of money on yelich got MVP out of that. And I got a guy who I believe drove in a run today that help. I thought it was the decisive maybe wasn't Kane, didn't drive and run three or debris drive in run three one all in the action all day and you something just from a baseball standpoint. Why did Ryan Braun to steal second in the I don't understand that you have guy third on out. It doesn't matter because what they've done about eight times in the last month, you're not paying attention to this. They get a solo home run, and that's their only run that's done this for result, kill rulers in cubs, Tony, I believe nine of their previous nineteen games today ended in a shutout for somebody to at six of those shutouts. So three runs will be eighteen hours on rue is traded with Miami to get yelich. How does Derrick jeeter feel about that? This guy is going to be the MVP. They have the brewers have one. Oh, you do you think you wouldn't think you win the more you think you brewers are the best team, the National League ready to accept that you're gonna say the dodgers you're gonna say whoever's on a coal? No, I'm happy to accept that. I like walk. It's nice. It's fine. I don't like them today. Let's go to one of the core reasons for our television existence. Tony, second guessing, coaches migrate will gambled on fourth down and over time, and it worked as the titans beat. The eagles Frank Reich and a tie game. Twenty seven seconds left overtime near midfield at home gambled on fourth down and his colts lost to Houston right defended the call his players starting with quarterback. Andrew luck said they loved it. Tony, did you love it? Everything's in hindsight, everything is results based. It did not work and they lost the game as a result, they gamble in their own side of the field. There's enough time re is not. There's not a lot of time, but there's enough time to get in position to win the game. So it didn't work. Now, what do I like about it? If anything? And I believe after he did it, Frank Reich, said ten out of ten times going to do that. We don't want no stinking ties. We want to win the game. Here's what I think that does for him and let me explain this. They're they're in a transitional year. Trying to see what Andrew luck has left would seem to be a lot right now, but they didn't know they're behind Tennessee and Jacksonville in their own division. So they're not a championship team. I just think he won the locker room for the rest of this year. I. Think those players would run through walls for him. Now when he said, we're playing way, I'm not sure they do it forever. I'm okay with that call at home at home. I mean, you, you got to pick up that fourth down. You don't want to end this time. I understand ties better than a loss, but obviously rails worked. So there's not a whole lot of second guessing. No. I mean Mary only. own way to make stuff happen did yes, he did. So in wreck situation strategically, I think I agree with him. I think I go for their close enough to midfiel. I'm outside my own forty, so I wanna go for it there. I don't have a big problem with it and you win your locker room until you do something that makes you locker room hates, you know, but those things are very temporary. One is locker room off now and love back them. And by the way, if you worried about forty of sixty to four hundred sixty four yards, four touchdowns go picks and at the end of regulation, he did throw it fifty in the air. I would tell you not to worry right now by the way you now you always wonder who's the first coach to be fired..

"Yeah, when he's hot at, but for the record outside of t. y. Hilton. Tony, they don't have a lot to work with now. Not a great old line. He didn't have much of a running game, you know, they again, they have one go to receiver, Andrew, Lux really good. I don't know why. He's a little nerdy got his book club. I don't know why there's so much pushback. Like what part of Andrew luck do people not Gad. I never understood it. I've never felt that way. No, everybody I know the NFL's like how got he's fantastic. Yeah, there's these, the only quarterback in the league. That's really good and everybody knows he's good in the league and gets pushback. Nobody pushes back, Derek Carr. I mean, God, Patrick Mahomes has been good for an hour. Everybody's on board. Andrew. Lux put up huge numbers. So against yesterday, he's forty of sixty to one hundred and nine quarterback rating four hundred sixty four yards. That's with an average o. line one wide receiving weapon and and and just kinda Mair running back. You know what it is. It's because there's not. He's so vanilla. I think that's it. That's vanilla. As we. You know, there's nothing to grab onto nothing. Especially in this day and age. There's no, there's no tape of no flange something. There's no dancing. There's no, there's no hot. You know, after the game, he's not getting heated. He's he's just always complimenting everybody. He's just a nice guy. Can you believe that. We don't. We don't like nice people. That's what it is. This swine struggling society. So let me let me guess you love Baker Mayfield turnover, Baker Mayfield, you know who your minds me of calling I in in bear with me. He reminds me of Brett farve in there was a Tate. We were doing a halftime little highlight film, and there was a slant he threw and he did that little underarm and then you saw the game. Actually, someone scored a touchdown and he's running down there. He's got the the tape dancing, like you said it in the pre-game show this. This kid is a star. He is no question. He is so much fun, fun and slings it and can compla-. He looks good player. I prefer Sam darnold, but Baker right now is way more fun to watch because Hugh Jackson, here's another thing, huge letting him sling it. Yeah. I mean, Josh Allen got defensive coaches, Josh Rosen as defensive coach, Sam darnold has a defensive coach. They're not as creative, offensive coaches who were your head coach. He had for meal Herm. So Hermoso defensive coach was for meal and offensive coach. Yeah, I guess I, I don't know. I mean, I might take away his bakers. Got everybody wants to run Hugh Jackson and a town I watch he and Hayley. That's a fun office. It's going to be in. This is what Brett farve was. Brett Farr was fun and he's gonna take chances any through interceptions especially when his younger and I think this kid he's gonna Volve as I start, but he's going to be a star. If you don't get hurt, he's going to be a lot of fun to watch. He's that. He remember Brett farve how much fun he used to have an and became a star because of, you know what's funny about that too, is that we tend to overlook the flaws of people we like, and I'll give you an example. So Michael Jordan was the first guy that Nike campaign was the first big global shoe campaign. If you go look at Michael's life, you know, I'm not even gonna get into a lot of he quit twice. He punched teammates. He had a petty hall of fame speech. Michael had some. We've found later gambling. There's infidelity. It's not a, I'm not saying he's a terrible human, but I'm saying, nah. None of it penetrates the force field of his popularity because he was the first Michael Jordan was the first athlete had this incredible global shoe campaign Mars Blackmon Spike Lee. Once you're popular. Brett farve was absurdly popular. He's the all time. Interception leader often through horrible interceptions in huge games. But he said y'all. He was a good old country. Boy, you liked Br, he, he wore Wrangler. He went to WalMart, he, he jumped on teammates bags. I remember. I remember I played with him in the Tokyo ball. He was out there with the little megaphone..
