"Of what i want life to look and feel like i think that it's it's so great to look at the gifts because this last year we realized how many things we were doing that we didn't actually enjoy that. We almost got caught up in or we just felt like we had to do and kind of when everything was stripped away. We had the opportunity to start again. We said what are the things that we really want to be doing online or does this event actually have to be in person or can we pivot things to online so we've actually switched so many things to being online and it's given us way more time back given us time with our friends. It's given us just more time. In general than what we were doing just constantly having to show up in person for different things and isn't it like anything life. It's like it's like your your pantry. You keep adding little things without realizing one day in your pantry. It's like why is this thing filled with stuff. We don't even knew that. I realize that we do that in our closet with clothes. You wear like ten percent of the stuff that you calls you. Keep packing stuff and we do that with life We collect maybe people that when you could start over you go. They're great people but they're not serving. Were you know. They're not in alignment with us anymore or collecting habits and routines and when we collect so much stuff. I believe it really leans into taking away our opportunity to lead to reach our full potential right. Dale carnegie and i love the quote. He had one of my favorite quotes. He said the biggest play of the human race is knowing you have more potential and not utilizing what level if you're making ten thousand a month and you want to go to one hundred one hundred grand or or you have kind of a happy relationship or you're kind of happy like we know that's kind of that's the one common theme between all of us. Is we know we have more if we're not utilizing it's frustrating and i think what we've done is we collected so many things. They become hypnotic rhythm from napoleon hill. You don't even realize you're in it then. All of a sudden the world pulls the cart carpet out from underneath you. And you're like. Wow you really need all that stuff no do. I need all those things and again if it goes back to the way it was. Are you ready to go back or is it time to say. I'm not going back to corporate america or i'm going to finally scale this business and stop dabbling you're right. It's funny because not only. Is that where we were. Twelve years ago we also had our version of that this year. You wake up this. This is a wakeup call. And you say this is my chance to build a better life than what i had before this incident happened and you and i have worked really hard to say what isn't serving us. What were we saying yes to just because yes seemed easier than saying no. We've got really strong with our boundaries. And i feel like you've got really strong you've always been strong with your boundaries that appears i dunno if always but they get stronger they get raised and you know who else gen. Our mutual jenna. She's a bit where she makes. She's struggled ones in mind. So this is people this severance chance to say. You know what. I don't have to keep saying yes to one. Once i can say no to what no longer serves me. And i can start creating a brand new future out of what feels like a mess alone. Yeah i i think one of the one of the most fun things that we learned from some of our friends. Robin kim murgatroyd. They play something called stupid idea time. And it's like just reimagining your life. And that's what we i feel like. That's what we did. This entire last year was like okay stupid idea time. What would it look like. If we just really stayed in the things that we loved like how could we start repositioning and reimagining these things that were good at. But maybe we're not enjoying them in a certain way or you know how could we maybe potentially even stay in just the things that we look. We started asking those really. Like the deeper questions based on fulfillment and you know. What are you doing when you're at your best. And why aren't we really focusing in honing in on these things and energy by just because ever since we got introduced by mutual friend. randy guard. And we did that podcast. I've been following you guys. And i wanna tell you what you just shared. I could see it in your faces and you're happy like you guys have a different energy. Not because you move to arizona. I think because of some of the choices you made and simultaneously you give people hope in a way. I know you know this. But sometimes we forget and i wanna tell you. You're giving people permission to say. Why don't i just go with my stupid idea. But it's really not stupid. It's actually the most brilliant idea you could come up with. I mean do you guys feel lighter. Seems feels so much lighter you just like you said we get caught on the wheel like you just get caught in the cycle of this is what i know. And so it's it's sometimes it's scary to branch algorithm. Ask you something self education sharing that sounds like a like. Could you just boil it down. Let me ask you something Before i ask you when you set like right now. You are in the industry of getting other people's knowledge to podcasts and sharing that where people can go fast. Yep there's people listening and watching right now regularly listen to you guys. They gained knowledge. They gain a skill gain a shortcut. You've gone through a mess. You've gone through a mess. You're on the other side. You give them the shortcut to get there or how to make money quicker or how to market quicker. I saw you had an amazing mastermind. Here you're in the knowledge industry the information industry the upscale industry. Whatever you wanna call it. You're in the industry where your asset is your experience and your warehouse is your brain. Yeah you don't have great analogy beautiful guest house over. There is not full of products to sell. But i want you think about this. Imagine if iphone came out with an iphone fifteen and it was like. Oh my god fifteen. It went from eleven to fifteen. It's amazing it's everybody wants it and you had a warehouse full of it and you could never sell out of it. Yeah and you didn't have to pay for it. Yeah how exciting with that. I mean that's exactly the jets. You've been through experiences that someone else hasn't yet they love to live here. Have you experienced have more freedom. Take the silly ideas and make it your business. But they don't know yet. And i don't mean in a bad way you probably do something amazing and something else but if you're gonna model and a successful life and you like what they do they're going to learn from you and you're providing an absolute service because doing it on their own might take them four extra years. Come into your mastermind. You and i were in a mastermind together. You'd watch how fast you could go right. So what is the knowledge industry. It's unlocking the asset instead of a house filled of iphones. You have a head filled of experience. Knowledge and expertise and all the knowledge industry is is unlocking net in a unique way pinpointing. Like the of what you're going to teach. You ought to know everything you to be good at one thing one swimming and you only have to be one chapter ahead of someone else and if someone else needs that information.

"For the past two years now voice a little horse but for the past two years. We've been fighting to free michael thompson from prison in michigan. He's been incarcerated for twenty five years not for murder not for a sexual assault. Not for robbery but for selling weed. And if you've heard me say this before it's important for me to say it. Wow michael was incarcerated. He literally saw people who were for murder. Serve their entire term and get released. He saw people who were convicted. Some who plead guilty or who didn't who were convicted of sexual assault. Serve their entire term. Michael was imprisoned for so long that he literally saw people start their career at the prison and work their entire career and retire. And while michael was there for selling weed non violent crime while he was there his parents died is only son died. He lost virtually everything he had accept his dignity and he continued hoping and believing that one day he would be free. They convict they. They sentence this man to over forty years. We had to fight to get the governor of michigan. The attorney general of michigan lieutenant governor of michigan. The local district attorney. We had to fight to get them to make this commutation to release this man and when they released him. They didn't do so in my mind. You weed is now legal in michigan and has been legal in michigan for years and even after it was legalized they continued to keep him incarcerated on thankful the gall nerve they continued to keep him incarcerated but michael continue to hope and believe that he would be freed in this past week. Finally in twenty twenty one michael was freed and when they let michael out. They didn't do so with a multi million dollar settlement. They didn't do so where they gave him. Thirty thousand one hundred thousand dollars or two hundred thousand dollars a year for every year. He was incarcerated. They didn't give him a check for one thousand dollars. They gave him nothing. No housing no transportation. He's on his own. Which is crazy because now he's a senior citizen out in this world that has changed so drastically. He's been imprisoned. i'm forty one. He's been imprisoned since i was teenage boy. And we're going to buy this man a house if you go to my instagram page and click the link in my bio and by the time you click the link. Give him a place to stay a place to live and We're going to do this and we're gonna have him go. Buy a house in cash. Because here's the thing. There are apartments and god. This makes my blood boil. There are apartments. They won't even lease to michael in michigan and michael appears to basically be stuck in michigan because even though he served twenty five years in prison they decided to put on four extra years of probation unthinkable. We're working on that. We wanted to get michael released and housed and all of that. And if he ever one day decides to sell this house and move on his business but michael pick this home. It's a beautiful home. He loves it. The neighborhood is full of retirees. That are his age of the home is wonderful. And he's ready to move in and so Less make this happen. Go right now. "Or there are kind of these contingencies that can happen. So he's gonna earn forty. Three million over the first three years. And then at that point the Mariners can choose to extend him for sixty six million from twenty twenty two twenty twenty five and if they do that would make the contract a seven-year hundred nine million dollar deal if they don't exercise the four year extension than he can opt to exercise a player option for twenty twenty two that would pay him thirteen million dollars reading this from John hayman's reporting on MLB trade rumors. So it's hard to say exactly what this will end up looking like, but we've seen a trend toward contracts where it's harder to analyze exactly what contract is because we won't find out for years. How long player will actually be there or what he will end up netting from this? So any thoughts on the structure or size of the deal? It's fun. And and we'll we'll talk to Jamila a little bit later and Hilsa user prized that there wasn't some statement that came out saying that some team found something in the Moravian. So there. Before the contract is going to be heavily incentivize or whatever like the contract. And and given all the talk about you shoulder that would have been easy to expect. But now on the one hand the team that won the sweepstakes to sign huge is going to be the team that is least concerned about risk. I guess and the Mariners already traded away so much feature money will now they have a long term commitment, but trying to break it down. There is a very narrow band of outcomes where I think the Mariners wouldn't extend the four extra years if she is really good than the Mariners will presumably say, well, here's four more years and a high salary because you are good inverted. So the Mariners have the upside here is protected from the mayor standpoint because if Kikuchi is great than they get to keep him. If Kikuchi is very bad than they'll get to the end of three years of Mariners. We'll say we'll we're not going to extend you your bed, and then Kikuchi will say, okay. But I'm going to Bill you thirteen million dollars or whatever it is for the fourth year because no player's gonna walk away from that. But there is a narrow band of outcome. I think where Kikuchi is not good enough to get extended the for years, but is good enough to hit free agency. I think he could do better than that thirty million. He would have coming his way for years down the road. So it is it's it's fun to think about there's a good amount of protection for the Mariners. But again, the the big uncertainty here is whether the shoulder is going to hold up to say nothing, I guess the quality of the pitches. But this could end up being I don't know. I have you seen any reporting on how the posting fee for this kind of contract is calculated now because it's unclear to me how exactly this is treated for for the MP's perspective. Yeah. That's a good question because it's a percentage of the contract now. Right. So it's hard Tissot what the contract will end up being. So it's hard to calculate percentage. That is a good question. But I do not know the answer to that question. But yeah, I mean could she is what he's only twenty seven years old and the Mariners. Intend to be good within the first four years of his contract. Let alone the seven that it might end up being. So it makes sense in that way. You don't always have to just sign a player when you are ready to be good again. We know that the Mariners seemed to be targeting what twenty twenty one is kind of what DiPoto has said. So if that's the target cookie if his shoulder holds up would still be productive at that time. So sometimes it makes sense to Byerly when a guy is available, and you know, he's not going to be available later and you need pitching as much as the Mariners do. So I don't think it's inconsistent with the other moves that they've made the they've spent a lot of time starting players who are if not close to the majors like an Eric Swanson or just Sheffield players were already in the major similar, Omar Narvaez or a Malik Smith tomato Santana players who have multiple years of control left, but who aren't necessarily prospects. They're already there in in..

"Because you know, that was back in the day when it was convert, and it was just conversing what else? Yeah. Well, maybe. Yeah. Just two shoes. They were laughing at you. Yeah. They was laughing now. So you got the last laugh though. Yeah. Well, I I don't have my stock. But I do have on a pair of bronze. That's right. A lot of runs in a lot of k D's because. The only come in the the shoes that come in my size teen. So it makes sense. Yeah. I to where she was in my side. I I feel feel you you. which ones do which one of the more comfortable for you. The Browns are Gators. The the original bronze the these new ones here. They don't have the cushion the other brownies had and now K D is like moved into like a little bit of a first place for for me. Dispatching eleven so I'm like, I'm going back and forth between the two. But I'm so impressed with what those players have done with the game. And it's just six so exciting for me to see young guys moving record move into the record books behind in front of Wilt Chamberlain and all that. So for your audience for just an idea what the rule mint if you before I came out, you had to wait four, you know, four years after high school before you enter into a pro- professional. I don't think that's the harbor rule. But don't you know, and I had to go all the way to the supreme court. So you're looking at your stats numbers. So like, I told them I'm not gonna use him as an example anymore. Lebron? But I. It's okay. Oh, please never Fidai. He don't he don't pay attention to media, wink, wink, watching Watching right it now. all up in the ceiling everywhere. Yeah. So for guy like LeBron? He got four extra years of salary, which is if he's making forty three year forty three millions. How much is that you look like a genius. Threat hundred sixty million. Yeah. And for your plan on your steps, you got.

"And then twenty fifteen these had a rebranding it again they changed the name and then again they changed the name twenty six i think since then they haven't really changed it so now it's been extra age so i don't know if that means they stopped doing four years four extra years and now it's like six or seven and a half i i have no idea maybe that's why they took the title away but i have to tell you i'm not i'm here it was never a big jim beam fan in the first place but this is really smooth like caramel notes to it it's really really good i think the extra aging does something for it what i don't know because like i said i am not a connoisseur you wanna you wanna have a bourbon review with all those like a wine review its caramel i smell cherry and there's a little bit of a spare in the tide then you need to go somewhere else but if you went from just a straight drinking guy from the midwest who says hey you know what on the rocks not a bad deal kind of a nice bourbon on a nice night if it's on sale i should pick it up man it's it's pretty good it is smoother like i said then the normal jim beam i tell you once the ice melts just a little bit but that's the thing over like over talking about london when i was over there years and years ago they always have their whiskeys on the bar and then they have the water pitcher so you're supposed to add a little splash you wanna do is depending on how you like it so i sometimes i add a little a little splash depending on what it is what scotch or bourbon it is at this little hint of water but if i do it on the rocks than if i'm not using when the.

"Do think that there there are failures in these cases to listen to our kid i don't give me the kid doing the shooting i mean th th the kids in the school who who were concerned uh and in many cases the kids know more than we know that we really need to sometimes stop preaching insert listening wealth and i think that we will all benefit from that i always say if you see something say something that applies to so many things but i'm not sure anybody knows who they're supposed to say something to but that that listen i want to talk a a will maybe do this another time and i want to talk about presence bringing your boldest self to your biggest challenges what do you mean by the imposter syndrome are while the impact assessment unification where people feel if they don't do haired wako had and the funny thing about departure syndrome is better off in often occurs among people who are high achievers or who had succeeded you have had the job they weren't who got into the callers and they wanna get in care yet hillary had this lingering feeling that there could be found out here at any moment if they put themselves out there someone will discover that they were the hiring the or the admissions the stake and that really shuts people down from taking advantage of opportunities which states that and see not as opportunities but as threat and you kind of went through a situation where you felt like you you you didn't belong in maybe you didn't have the confidence and somebody's gonna find ju out in that's after you had a i guess you had a car collision in some of brain injury again good yeah what i was nineteen um i was at a car accident it was a single car action and i was a passenger uh my friend fell asleep driving i was thrown out of the car we were going quite fast in the middle of the night and wyoming and uh i was i was in hospital for a long time with a traumatic brain injury it took me four extra years to finish college i was told that i would not finish college uh my iq drops by thirty points uh in the year after the accident and i when i got back into college and then eventually was admitted principally for graduate school.
