"Because it didn't work for me. My last year in college will say about the bruce arians. Very much is a is a player. Coach goes through his career. Everybody loves him. He is a class act. Do you think almost because of that. Persona mike he. He's underestimated little bit. As we ask that you put your finger on it. I think people people look at areas or looked at aaron's and say you know oh big play throw the ball you know that's it and you know they. They ignored. I think todd bowles Going back going back to arizona. They ignore to an extent the job he did that year. He coached in indianapolis when chuck pagano had cancer and was out. He was the interim coach of choice and did a brilliant job with andrew. Lock without killing him at least at the time. Because that's been the thing and that's what we said about brady going there. Oh it's going to be brutal. Because brady brady doesn't run. And he leaves quarterbacks in the pocket. And i mean that was the book on him though. The critics yeah. Yeah exactly exactly well wall spotted and i think that's been part of the reason why the bucks have come alive. Offensively the second half of the year was that adjustment period between brady and arians. You know and we're brady wants. He wants to be able to get rid of the ball quickly to spots where he knows either receivers going to be the zones going to be open going right back to where we started and arians is willing to wait for receivers to get open deep And and that's that would be a recipe for disaster with brady thing you could do you know and and I think they've come to a kind of accommodation where the offense is kind of a mix of that. They're still willing to take those shots downfield and he's got receivers to be able to be able to do that but you also see them. Running a lot of stretching stretching routes Quick release but godwin in particular cross. Animal scotty miller who is in Troy aikman terms. Has you know. Surprising speeds sneaky fast For radio receivers. You scotty miller on you referred to on the show anyone does. I'd like to. Who was that guy. So yes so. You know. I i i think i think you've got to coaches who on the surface both appear easy going but are far from it right there. You see andy occasionally when he's fed up with a cut with a referee in particular. You see you see kind of you know means side of him. And i think with eric. I think with areas you. Just you see how serious it is. By the way he's been able to adjust and and just one last point about areas and all he basically said it himself. I think and i've been saying it since spray since brady went there. You know if not before tampa was not a seven and nine team last year We when we said that when we saw them play it at white hart lane when we did that that game on the radio this is not a seventy nine hundred and this is. This is a ten in six kind of team. Maybe eleven and five. If you take away. Jay mrs turnovers you know which you just can't avoid. They lost three games yet because of arkley on interceptions or fumbles in crucial spots. Where were they were in the game and you know and yeah jayme is through. Tom brady threw for four thousand yards. And you know what. Jay mr for five yards. But but you know it was like it's like the cut of interceptions is worth the extra thousand yard. It's basically and brady threw out forty touchdown passes instead of thirty. You know but but that to me was the difference. He was joining a strong team and they made it stronger in the offseason. Not and this is without without brady but you know just just making moves that made that team stronger guest sides the boss so i wasn't surprised at all You know they'd they made the playoffs pick for for that for wildcard But i'm a little surprised at how strong the playoff run has come. And they. They remind me of those two thousand seven giants. You know a good late season run of for an eleven and five team was playing at their best going into the super bowl. Yeah get down the ride the hallway or berry mike. I know it is early doors. it's monday there's a lot that still needs to get what you leaning one way or the other leading to the bucks to be honest There are there are miserably doors. There are a lot of things i think to me. The difference in this game is how much you believe in patrick. Mahomes it's a quarterback. Stay but i felt the same thing last last week against green bay and they overcame aaron rodgers. Now they had. They had some breaks in doing that but what they did mike our listeners. Of course can catch you on. The b broke cost sunday. Yeah it's just a good old days with el chapo back and oc the j. bill. So you know. I look forward to the fireworks. Brilliant stop carlson. Well look forward to seeing that course. I'm sure everybody out and come back and see a soon. Yeah My my patron column which is patch dot com. Fm my Mike carlson fm. Probably make picking that. I hadn't picked games all season In that although i've done really well picking as you know from our radio show and asked me to do that. I find when i over think i picked raw super bowl record. I'm for for sixteen years. I'm well over not well over. I'm over two-thirds of games right up until the super bowl. And i have a losing record and super bowls because supercomputer get your head. That's right the more. I think the worst. Well look what supercomputers picking and go the opposite. It'd be my maybe flip a coin. Okay that's my call soon. F f. m. t. patriot call calls f. m. t. That's the college going it out. Check it out. Go and get the super bowl pick and plenty more besides look after yourself..
NFL Playoff Predictions: Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
"We'll start things off in the nfc where the green bay packers playing host to the tampa. Bay buccaneers. You're looking at green bay. Three and a half point favorite at faneuil sportsbook total in this game at fifty one and a half and pain. When i dug into this game i was blown away not by some of the statistics that are there the xs and os but by the simple fact that this'll be aaron rodgers first. Nfc title game. That will at home given everything he's been able to accomplish in his career and greenvale have something pretty strong working in their favor when you consider that since the wild card round began in nineteen seventy eight teams playing their third straight road game or just five and twelve against the spread for thirteen straight up so tampa get have to work against that particular trend but when you have the greatest of all time at the quarterback position. I'm sure a lot of your fears are swayed by all of that when you try and identify some of the matchups here we know these teams that. You're just assuming. Patrick mahomes doesn't get seven. Well a patron hose may seven. But he's not the go he might be the go in waiting. And who knows. Maybe we'll get a ceremonial passing of the baton from tom to patrick in tampa in two short weeks. But we're getting ahead of ourselves there as well when you look at this particular game and i know we go through the offense versus defense but which side of the ball is going to be more fascinating for you to watch tom. Brady against this. Suddenly resurgent packers defense. Who in my opinion really hasn't been tested over the last couple of weeks or aaron rodgers looking to atone for his worst performance of the season against the tampa bay bucks defensive front. I think they're both interesting. Obviously in one thing that we've talked about air this entire postseason is we're getting some good matchups. We're getting some great games. We have to be thrilled with the four teams remaining. And i know browns fans won't like this but we don't have a team that's undeserving or doesn't belong. We don't have a team. That's seven and a half eight win. Team somehow sneaking their way into the final four so to speak here with with an upset win and then taking advantage of an injury to the most important play like we have the four teams. Here that are right up there in the power rankings. You could certainly say the saints or there but you know if if i think we knew exactly what was wrong with drew brees report we might not have the saints as the top five credential. You you mean his wife coming out and saying he played the latter portion of the season with a torn labor. Him didn't have any effect on his lacklustre efforts. Throwing the ball downfield torn torn labor. M- rotator cuff torn plantar fascia and still had. I guess three fractured ribs most healed but right and so i think that was part of the the line move last week now for sure looking at this right in this match while we're getting the great games and i of go back to my initial thought here while we're getting the great matchups for us to watch there's so much variance there so many like holes to attack. That team can do that. Like sometimes you get games whereas like you break them down. Nearly there's nothing really there. These games have a lot here. And whichever one can. It's going to cause this massive variance in the game. I think we even said that last week in the packers we're going to find out who's for real. We think the packers defense is packers. Offense is really good. We think the rams defense is really good. Neither of really played a tough schedule. And i get aaron. Donald was injured last week. But i think we kind of saw. What the rams were when. They went up against an elite offense because they hadn't really faced any elite offense is aside from my guess what you could call a familiar opponent with russell wilson seattle. Who is trending horrifically to end the season. So let's start there right. And i think the obvious element the thing that we'll talk about a lot because it's worth bringing up what you'll probably. Here's you listen to a lot of breakdowns of this game all week and the one thing that can really swing this game. I think is pressure on aaron rodgers. Can the the buccaneers defense make aaron rodgers uncomfortable. And i think it's pretty pretty simple. That's going to be the largest determining factor of this game and if you're going to get a situation where aaron rodgers is strong from clean pocket. The game's over right. It's done with of quarterbacks with at least one hundred and twenty-five dropbacks aaron rodgers number one in the nfl one thirty passer rating from a clean pockets got forty touchdown four picks and clean bach suggested completion percentage when kept clean is eighty five percent. If you don't pressure. Rogers like you're not going into lambeau in january with possible weather and beating him

"News. No news the seahawks parted ways with their now former offensive coordinator. Brian shot while there's good news it was time and i don't know whether we should say the seahawks part ways shoddy up and left home went home but i will say that this is good news. I don't know that shoddy himself was the problem. But i think it is time for some level of change and if there are if there are issues festering under the surface the offensive coordinator search is going to press them out to the to the top right. He's going to get. It's going to get them out in the open. And i think that's important if there's a russ pete split if their issues between the two of them let it come out let it sort itself out. Let them find a way to talk it through and find and settle on an offensive coordinator. That is going to be right for both of them. Because otherwise i think you get sniping and backed rooms and locker room lawyering and talking to the press and anonymous sources. I don't want all that stuff. I think i think that the search more than anything will ultimately have to be good for the seahawks or it will show that you've got a a an unresolvable problem. So good news. yeah. I'm gonna say i'm going to spend this one too bad news and i'm going to spin it. Their because now russ is going to have his third. Oc in ten years. And you know that any number a low number or an average number. I don't know. Aaron rodgers had the same one for fourteen years. The the guy we talked about drew brees and the same one for fifteen years. Mahomes has had the same owner going. Gonna have the same one and andy. Reid is the playcaller in the in the horsepower. There as long as and he's going to be there another five. I mean you see that. Those guys have a lot of continuity in that voice. Now a lot of. That's because of success and i would also say you score more points than any seahawks team in the history of the hawks. This year you also had russell throwing forty touchdown passes and finishing seventh in the league in passer rating. You also won twelve games. I mean you you. You've had a ton of success there. And i'm just going to spin. It is bad news because russell trusted. I think shoddy implicitly and ultimately pete can never gain that trust and and they could. They could never work together so to your point about who you're going to bring in. Do we think all of a sudden that pete's going to stop meddling we think all of a sudden the pete's just implicitly trust who that is there you know so you know i take your points and i think they're very very valid and i can certainly spin it that way but i think it is just as equally a double edged sword of him and be careful for change for change's sake and and you know just because you bring somebody new in here. Well then you've got to build report relationship with him. If russ has none then can they gain the trust and what about the rest of the offensive group and what about pizza and what about the overall philosophy. How all of that is going to work. So you're starting at ground zero.
Patriots Knocked Out of Playoff Race for First Time Since 2008
"Patriots who i said would not make the playoffs are not making the playoffs here. Is bill belichick with this loss. You guys were eliminated from playoff contention first time since a wave. Just wondering your reaction to that does that. We win deserve to win tonight. So yeah pretty much. So and i started look at cam. Newton's numbers. Because if i'm new england do i play jarrett stidham the last two games. Do i want to see what i have do. They know what they have do. I just ride this out. And have cam newton as my starting quarterback in his last seventeen starts so this goes back two years cam. Newton has thrown. in seventeen games. Five touchdown passes twelve interceptions. He is had almost five hundred throws over those seventeen games. Peter king points out in his column today. Aaron rodgers has had four hundred seventy seven pass attempts through the same time period. He's thrown forty touchdowns cams thrown five. And i know coming back from arthroscopic surgery on his rotator cuff and for those of us who've had rotator cuff surgery just coming back for a normal life. Not trying to fit a football into a small window is really difficult. And i don't think cam has come all the way back from kovin that but cam. We're not going to see cam twenty fifteen. Never gonna come close to. That can still be a quarterback who starts in the nfl. Is he a quarterback who is going to be a backup quarterback. And i think that's going to be the next step to decide what happens with the patriots. What direction they go in to the go after quarterback do they keep cam. Do give him more. Money is jarrett stidham as that experience experiment over as

Adorable cat runs on field at Major League Baseball game
"I one of the big things that was training this week that actually as a cat lover I was so excited by was the black cat and the NFL yeah if you're watching the Monday Night Football game between the giants and the cowboys you saw the black cat Lebanon to met life the old it was so entertaining because Kevin Harlan had an incredible call of it he was talking about the lateral quickness cat even forty touchdown solicited it the cat still at large they haven't found the cat yet despite multiple attempts to humanely capture it and also the giants were up nine to three when the captain on the field and then they got outscored thirty forty nine so bad luck the guy had luck okay just and I have to ask a question about the cat because this is been what's been haunting me and I'm wondering if Google has this answer somewhere how the heck did the cat get on the field in the first place I know I know I know I'm wondering if somebody like playing the cat they're all like smuggled the cat looks but obviously the security not hide in my life the lines get in there without a ticket yes and I will say this is not quite the same but we had our own sort of version of this with the squirrels yeah that was on the twins get handed down the

"Points. Maybe maybe that balances out the regression. There were twelve and four last season feels like they're just gonna be in you. Look at the schedule like look looking ahead at the lines lines well how many i think he will regress though that's everyone's saying this he's going to shoot yet fifty touchdowns he can request by twenty percent and still have forty touchdowns and also it generally generally from your first years of started started a second year as a starter as a quarterback. You're gonna make a leap up so that's kinda scary and maybe the numbers are grasp but he becomes a better quarterback. I don't know if that's possible. What's also like so the offense regresses. A little bit in the defense takes a small step forward and they're not bottom five. Take a step forward. They lost their defense actually got and worse which is amazing. That was the biggest as a charger fan that was the biggest thing that i worried about was their their defense can only get better and they still finished. Actually they got worse. Spags has a special place in my heart of course sean but he's installing a four to three defense on a brand new coaching staff. It's that's all. I always switch. I think going four two four three is a little bit easier than vice versa but anytime you're transitioning defensive schemes james you gotta be lowered read new coaching staff. I don't know how many of the guys he knows and brought in to be honest with you. A lot of the guys have never even know low pressure system over there. They're on the defensive side of the ball but yeah he's gonna regress. I don't think i think anyone who's arguing that he's not going to regress is just they're obviously not familiar. William the numbers like sean over here numbers numbers men but that being said t to all the points they were they were. It wasn't wasn't like they were lucky. Last year they were just good yeah and i mean that only leaves quarterbacks regressed. You remember dante culpepper year kimber that but i remember how do you remember michael. Vick's griffin look <laughter> their first year. The chargers figured out because they had to play twice. They played them in the first game of the year. He threw six touchdowns the you rush him make him run up the middle and cover the receivers on the outside. Kelsey is going to do his thing but they've figured him out. I think the chargers figure them out this year but the chargers like the chargers are very good out liars. They can see what they did the second game and i i saw what they did. You have a safety that can cover the field like the chargers. How many teams pass rush like the chargers melvin gordon. I end joey bosa well. We we saw the patriots. We saw the patriots split some. What did i say on the blindside. I are you like there's always that we got this many games that tape on him now like no they did. You could tell l. on the in the they they start to figure it out. Andy reid the started to and this team may read runs a west coast off with this atra. Poems does whatever he wants this. His team may never they're not going to be a ballot. Check style team whether peaking in the play offs this is a andy reid style team that is going to dominate the regular season season and that's what we're here to talk about today. At least andy reid thirteen double digit wins. It double digit win seasons in twenty seasons. That's an insane. I'll reveal john..

"They've loved them. They can't stand him and that's all he need motivation for people to continue to doubt on so I really expect him to have a thirty five plus forty touchdown type of season. He went on Daymond. Say Baker would arrive in almost or on the verge. Urge of the elite status for quarterbacks. You think it's going to happen this season for Baker Mayfield. I'm pumping the brakes on that. I think Baker Mayfield had absolute. He had a fantastic with year. There's no question about it. You know rookie that was better than paid manage <hes> <hes> but he here's here's the thing where he's a thing he's coming from. Its relates to not only Baker Mayfield but the browns as old. This is the first time that this brown organization is going to be what I call the hunted now now for you know since forever they've been doormat other division doorman in the league basically and this has been quite a turnaround for the Cleveland browns. It's a totally different situation when teams are hunting you now l. d. everyone's been giving the browns all the accolades all the attention all the love. Well guess what I've been in a situation where you're the hundred and it's no fun because those teams they bring their a game every single week and here's one. Let's say about the A._F._C. North. Who would you if you're buying stock and coaches? Who are you buying stock in? I'm buying stock and Mike Tomlin who has never had a loser record. I'm buying stock and John Hall. Who's won a super bowl in Baltimore? Those are the guys I'm those are what I call. Blue Chip stocks coaches that I'm willing to put it on the line for credit. Kitchens did a fantastic fantastic job with Baker Mayfield last year but there's a difference difference between going from a play caller and now being a head coach of an organization huge difference. Let me push back on Mike Tomlin for just a second and maybe I'm not really disagreeing. I'm with you but I do think it's worthy of somebody playing devil's advocate here. Do you think Mike Tomlin deserves criticism for what I think we can all agree upon at this point has been a Pittsburgh steelers team that has underachieved to it's talent base over the last couple of years. Do you think Mike Tomlin has been somebody who was incapable of bringing that locker room together in winning at its highest levels or do you simply think Mike Tomlin was a guy who was delta impossible hand in Levy on Belen Antonio Brown and Ben Rothlisberger No. I don't think there's there Mike Tomlin deserves some criticism for you. Know not taking the next step. <hes> you know the past few years with all the talent that's been acquired with the Pittsburgh. steelers particular will offense. There's no question about that his lack of adjustments in game. I think people really question that but when I look at the Pittsburgh steelers going into this season what I what I really like is they've eliminated the noise. There was a there's been a lot of noise surrounding the Pittsburgh steelers for the past couple couple years as relate Selebi on bell his contract situation Antonio Brown with a plethora issue so they've quieted noise in the organization Big Ben..
"forty touchdown" Discussed on The Audible with Feldman And Mandel
"So first getting back to the two thousand thirteen all of a he has a chance to get in the hall, and because that was an ASEA, the made him the all American quarterback who who is, who is not the all American quarterback. That year was the guy who won the Heisman that was redshirt freshman James Winston forty touchdown ten. I t's that year. And he didn't name James Winston and they named AJ McCarron instead did. Did. I can't I can't get on board with that Jamison. James that seemed to the national title. I assume that you twelve all American quarterback was not one of nine eight quarterbacks I just mentioned but was jumped. Probably Johnny Manziel think so. I mean talk about like put everything on your back, kind of guy. But, you know, one of the things he just said as a guy, we didn't mention least I don't think we mentioned and he gets overlooked you mentioned and appropriately last week. Lamar Jackson a great college quarterback. We didn't mention it was in the who's reference was teddy Bridgewater. Right. I would be more inclined to potato Bridgewater on their than AJ McCarron. Great freshman true freshman year by the time he left there. He was fantastic. He was, but I don't think he was ever a highs and finalist, and he certainly wasn't playing for national championship. So he had a great career. But I don't know. He's in the same ballpark is they Mayfield or Marcus mariota that Louisville team, you know, there were twenty three and. Two twenty three three maybe his last two years, there again I go back to a quarterback with the program on his back. He certainly elevated at program in a lot of ways before we go. Can I do quick shadow? I got one to go ahead. Okay. I wanna give out very, very well listener Megan O'Brien, who's a TV reporter in for the patriots. And proud northwestern grad who have gotten to know. Western iraq. She reads every state of the program on the flex, she listened to every episode of the audible, and I'm bringing us up because she tweeted a picture of. She's here's the latest book. I'm reading, and it was Rammer jammer Yellowhammer. So I can guess where she got that book suggestion actually it's funny. I met Meghan at the combine. She would tell stories about. I wanna see, she's there maybe both across country athlete or a soccer player at northwestern and cover the, the football program in fits would give her a hard time jokingly about like, are you later and like she would go from practice to covering his practices. So Megan is a marathon runner who ran, I believe the New York City marathon with the rebel, and lives. Tell about okay? My shot is actually to bobbly who's a former longtime colleague of mine, as we're taping. This heat announced his retirement from ESPN after forty years, you'll see that you've probably already seen a lot of people praising Bob for what he did there and the impact, and what I'd like to say about is he was a big reason why a lot of folks including myself, I only wanted to work at his fan, but why it was such a great place to learn a euro stages to me that was more formal in my education than anything I did in school, just a little window into the two on it. But when I started UPN, there were two computers in the whole complex other a basis terminal. But in terms of just like what we know is computer there were two and they were in the space that I worked him. And so Bob would get done with a six or six thirty pm sports on whatever it was. And he would go in there like I would be done at work, and he was basically sit on there. And he would either read. About international soccer, or, you know, talk to people about it and Europe which at that time, which was the mid nineties. I don't I'd never heard anybody doing it. And he was a big advocate, and what we were doing on what became ESPN dot com. It's time was ESPN on prodigy and his show outside the lines was, as good of thing of any in terms of sports journalism that anybody does in our industry. And he's the biggest reason why. So shout out to Bob, you know you got a great run. And the impact of a lot of folks, certainly myself included..

"But he's been considered MVP this season like a runner a contender the MVP. Yeah. Yeah. His over twenty almost thirty touchdowns and only nine pay really shows that and I know Mahomes has had much better season over forty touchdowns granted. And if homes wasn't having this kind of season, I think I would give the MVP rivers. Yeah. Rivers has three thousand six hundred thirty eight passing yards twenty nine touchdowns six. I n teas. But yeah, you look across Mahomes has forty three hundred passing. It's forty three touchdowns picks. You also have to look at the fact that Mahomes historian the ball four hundred eighty two times and flip burgers only throwing four hundred and nine times. So if they had even number of passing attempts, maybe the the stats are different. I don't know. But since homes has gone the ball lot more. In the air. That's why stats I feel like are much higher. I think Mahomes could actually hit fifty touchdown passes this year. Oh, it's absolutely possible. There's only three in the season. But still seven touchdowns seem like a lot for him. In three games span him breaking the record though. I don't he's gotta get five thousand passing arts and fifty touchdown passes. He has he has thirteen touchdowns to break. The all time record, which I don't think he's going to do to be on you because I think there's none of time. And I don't think they're gonna play him like week seventeen. So but I will if this race continues. I mean, if they lose tonight, he's absolutely playing week seventeen if they win tonight. Maybe he doesn't depending on what happens from here on doing loses again, which I don't think it's happened. But they might lose again they will lose ever round by. And these two teams might begin the first round buds. So teams. The chargers. I can see the chargers getting Trump by they can't both. They're in the same division. They have the records though, doesn't matter while card team cannot get a bye. I maybe they change the rules will bit. No come on. Man. You gotta give the division the division champs top four seeds. I mean. Yeah. There's some weird years where the team is seven nine. But that happens, there's always outliers. I that was though is gets you like this game is really important though. If you don't win the division, you don't get a by. And you don't get home game. There's a big difference of getting a buy and then a home. Let's be honest. The charters are playing away games as entire season. Let's get real. They have a home game. It's not as big as a deal as it was if it's Kansas City because let's face it when you're in Carson. There's so many of the opposite teams fans in there. It's like it's an away game still. Mhm every single team. I've seen play at Los Angeles. At the stubhub center are sub arena called they they're always the away team. Yeah. So I don't think I don't think it's that big of a deal if they don't get home field because they're so you I know the traveling is a lot different Greek gave that, but when it comes to atmosphere there stolen away team. It's in their playing as one of the best football in the NFL too. It's really a shame. Imagine they were in San Diego still that would be huge difference. I feel like. Yeah. But of course, they weren't really supported that. Well, you know, well, I love better than thirty thousand seater with nothing, but the away team dean Spanish in never move them away might been well, we can say that..
Kyler Murray of Oklahoma wins Heisman trophy
"Heisman Trophy goes to an Oklahoma quarterback for the second year in a row following in the footsteps of Baker Mayfield Kylie Murray through for more than four thousand yards and forty touchdowns this season. He says he was the right quarterback for the right program. I'm a cool, calm collected guy. Like Lord blessed with the ability to handle situations differently. For me knowing that I was going to the right situation. I just believe that go was the situation for me a junior. This could be his final season before jumping to the pros not football. But baseball he signed a four point six million dollar contract is past summer with the Oakland A's who selected him with the number nine pick. According to ESPN, Marie apologized this morning after anti-gay tweets he made in two thousand eleven twelve surfaced hours after we won the trophy. The tweets were made when he was fourteen and fifteen. And he says he used a poor choice of words that don't reflect who he is. Or

"You gotta feel for him. Forty Niners obviously have more talent than to and ten suggests you're talking about a team that lost their star QB Reuben foster. You guys have heard enough of that. I'm not going to force it down your throat. It's similar to other players have made mistakes that forces their hand, it doesn't matter anymore. It doesn't matter that you can win a Super Bowl. It doesn't matter that your former first round pick doesn't matter that you're capable of throwing you know, thirty five forty touchdowns in a season or a hundred and twenty five tackles for the season. The world is different. Social media has changed. Everything used to be one of those things if you did something wrong. Well, you know, what put it in the paper try to tuck it away. Right. A small article. Maybe you tell the reporters. Hey, let's leave this alone. And we're not going to discuss it type deal, and it was gone before. You know, it not today. Reporters are going to be way more aggressive when they do get video actually showing what you were doing wrong. It's going to be all out there. One video after another after another after another replay after replay next thing, you know, social movement groups get involved and teams will have their hands forced to where they have nothing to do. But let you go. Other teams may take a chance on you. But they're not going to go over and been backwards either. You may have the same issue that you had which your initial team when it comes to the forty Niners. I'm not talking about what's happening off the field. I wanna talk about what's happening on the field as they host. The Denver Broncos. This Sunday forty Niners to in ten Broncos six and six. So that you got everything to play for right? You play for pride you play for a fact that you want a job the following year. And all this other good stuff jobs on the line. Job. Security is always great. You have that competitive spirit. If you quit on a team that's two in ten. Chances are you'll quit on a team. That's six and six like the Broncos. Even though the Broncos haven't been. Eliminated from the playoffs or anything of that nature. Young teams are difficult to figure out because if you get the wrong players around them they will follow in the veterans footsteps if the veteran enjoys partying at the end of the night. And then saying, you know, what I'm not going in tomorrow. I'm not giving one hundred percent. Hey, look at the scoreboard. It's the fourth quarter were down by thirty less. Not play as hard. The younger guys will follow. That's why teams are very very selective when they're bringing in veterans to lead the younger group. You want a guide a really teacher guy. How to be a pro that guy will stay in the league a lot longer than a guy. Who's actually got some talent left, but he's twelve years deep into his career and his work ethic is horrible. They want someone who can pass on the professionalism to the younger players. So what do you do when you have a young team star quarterbacks down? Two and ten record. And you're looking at the first overall pick in the upcoming draft. I know a lot of people are really weird about this. And they say look you never tell your team to lose. But I don't think you have to tell your team to lose. You could tell your team to go out there and play hard if you're too and ten chances are you're not on the same level as a team that six and six winning does sell tickets losing is not something someone's gonna keep paying for. And eventually the fans are going to get pretty smart and say, you know, what I don't care about the first overall pick. I don't care about it. I just wanna win. I just want to go to work the next day and not have people snuggling snickering and saying, hey, you know, what? Your team is horrible. Why do you keep rooting for them that gets old after a while? And if you drop one hundred and fifty hundred sixty bucks lasting per ticket. There's no way you're getting the family and for that amount, but per ticket. And you're thinking, wow. That team has given out. There's no way you're coughing up one hundred sixty per ticket the following week. That said as a fan, I don't mind CNA team lose win. First overall second overall pick maybe third overall pick at stake. Look there are teams that lost intentionally down the line ended up strengthening the franchise big time. I e the San Antonio Spurs the year that David Robinson was injured and could have returned late in the season and Popovich said, Nope. Let him sit out for the remainder of the season. They messed around and got the number one pick, and you know, who they selected Tim Duncan franchise turned around immediately. So don't call Yellen. Seeing you know what that's the dumbest dumbest philosophy. I've ever heard it works. It has worked in the past. And yes, you are going to have an immediate impact in basketball because there's only five players on the court at a time for a team, but it can happen in football. Yes, you're going to have to pick the right guy and things of that nature. But you're looking a lot better at number one overall versus number three number four number five. So for the forty nine or fans out there, especially those who have season tickets go into the game. Go to watch them play against the Broncos. Are you yelling at the top of your lungs? San win win win. Are you sitting back saying I'm here to root for my team? It was a great little tailgate party if they lose I'm comfortable with that. Go ahead and give me a call eight. Oh, eight can be our go ahead and hit up Bill online. One. What's going on Bill? I hear you a forty Niners fan. I'm doing great, man. Yes, sir. I'm doing great. Can you hear me? Yeah. You just like a we'll click on that thing with with the baseball. Has a designated hitter. Why don't make better fielder for the nationally? Anyway. Say that as far as. I pay to watch park field. I want reform to the last minute if they're losing by six by two by one or by thirty five. Oh. Oh, my. A pick up and take off. Well, I mean, these guys are playing their butts off to the end, and I'll tell you why college made it very clear last week. I was listening to Kennedy are now the guy said, hey, he knows if you want to be here next year, you're gonna play you're you're I bus anybody not busing. Hopping out there, you probably won't be here. Nassar so many other bag groceries for a living as opposed to making a hundred and twenty five thousand dollars a game. I I don't know too many trade trade that for that. But Bill, how do you know? I mean, how do you for guys really gone a hundred percent out? If you got four three speed the coach is gonna realize that you're only running ninety five percent versus one hundred percent. You know, they have pride. They know. There are situations where guys coming at them. And he says look I got a wrap up. I'm not gonna go out here and get embarrassed. But when that store is wrong. And when I say wrong, I mean, the Niners are you know, losing a game decisively. How do you convince a million dollar player? Who's got his whole future ahead of him? Go out there and keep playing your hardest. You could injure career concussions can change everything. These guys aren't crazy. That's why you see a lot of guys retire in midseason look at what the raiders have gone through this year. They've had player said. No, thanks. I'll just call it quits right now. Go ahead and trade me. I don't care. I feel for a guy at the end of the day, and they make this very clear not just the players the GM's the coaches, it's a business when they get cut. What did they tell them? Hey has not personal guy. It's a business shouldn't the player has it have that right as well. It's a business. It's two and ten this season is over I'm going to go out there and play heart. I know my name is on the roster. I realized that you're selling tickets because my name is on the roster. But to ask a player to go all out a hundred percent with eight minutes remaining in the game and your down twenty at some point. There's got to be that cut off point where the players are knowing it as well, they're probably thinking to themselves. Hey, the GM really is going to be that upset if we have the number one overall pick. I don't see the raiders or the Niners really winning another game this season. I can't imagine any coach ever go into a team and say, let's tank that's never going to happen. But guys are smart. They read body language, a they're not there are teams out there. Dislike the Green Bay Packers. That say we will fire our coach because we want to lead badly as other teams. They had. Hey, coach just hang in there for us. Just go out there and show that you're giving one hundred percent and we're comfortable with that. This is in our year will bounce back next year. Yes guys are already talking about next year. Which doesn't mean you're a quitter. It means you're realistic. When we come back after the break, we're going to hear from Kyle Shanahan get his take on the upcoming game against the Denver Broncos. You listen to Henry Wolford on Cayenne Biard, six eighty the sports leader..

"What's up? Tony. Thought on the Heisman? I know you've been until you think it's going to be a runaway. Should be a runaway. I think calamari is gonna win it. I don't think he should. I don't know. How I don't know how you would give someone explained to me how he would be a better choice. Well, his his you gotta take it with a grain of salt because he's playing in the big twelve but his stats are actually better than to played on the team and did something that had never been done. Never lost a game in his career. Never team. Not no team in one hundred years did what Alabama. Did he led every game was won by twenty points in the regular season every single game? And he never played except one game. The Auburn game in the fourth quarter of game this year until and he got hurt in the SEC championship game. He set the all time quarterback rating in the history of the NCAA here. The highest quarterback rating of any quarterback in the history of the sport. How would he not win the Heisman Trophy? I think that the Heisman voters are going to fall in love with the fact that Kyla Murray put up astronomical numbers in terms of three hundred yards in the air and the only quarterback in history to have three hundred yards in the air and sixty yards on the ground league. That is a joke. They're fourteen point underdogs to Alabama in the play in a championship game. I think the two is the better pro prospect. Quarterback. I think he's going to win the Heisman, Mike. I think I think Colin Murray gonna win the s because people don't wanna give it to Alabama. I mean, that's the only reason you could ever use to his stats are better. Stats aren't better better quarterback rating tire. He didn't play in the fourth quarter. Did you want him to pile up stats in the fourth quarter against these teams? They're beaten by forty points. Of course, not. Well, that's. That's what they thought. He would have had to do to is stats will unbelievable this year. It may be because of the defense, and I'll give you that. But you look up calamari I'll give you the stats right now. And I'm telling you, do you think there's a lot of differences not to Murray's got bit of running stats. But who cares? If he runs for. He's got more three hundred yard games. And he's got better passing fat. The other guy didn't play in the fourth quarter Yahnici is a meaningless statistic completely meaningless statistic. It means it isn't your on each means. Absolutely nothing in college football, nothing. It has it has zero. Meaning to is that you're basing it on tour getting hurt in the Georgia game is what you basing it on to it stats for the season are. Are. He's got a quarterback rating of two hundred two point seven. He completed seventy four point six percent of his passes. Let me give you the whole thing. And I got to give you the touchdowns as. Thirty nine touchdowns in two picks. Have more touchdowns. I mean, I don't know what you know. What is it like to difference playing in a league that is three times as hard? I mean, if you're to judge this on their stats when one guy plays in a league that is an absolute joke with not a team that plays defense versus the SEC, which if Oklahoma's in the SEC, they'd be seven and five I mean, it just shows me that people who would vote and give him the Heisman have no idea of what they're looking at because the difference between the competition they play against is. So stock and then numbers are. You know, virtually virtually the same. I mean the kid runs for more yardage is really what you're looking at. That's really the only thing you know, he had a better championship game. He's playing against Texas. I mean, I just think you're gonna find a lot of voters that don't know what to talk about that. I listened to the first time I begged them to pick the Shawn Watson they didn't for two years. They wouldn't pick him. He won the national championship beat Alabama. They still didn't give him the Heisman Trophy before that. He should. He was the best player that year. Then afterwards. I said, you know, what a lot of guys say he should have won the Heisman Trophy really should have won is majority. Absolutely should have one is been trophy. I mean, that's the bottom line is. As murray. Completed seventy percent of his passes forty touchdowns seven picks forty and seven right? So forty seven. He passed for. Four thousand fifty three yards which means nothing and seventy point nine. And then I'll give you. That's that's Murray. I'll get to is. Two. Thirty seven touchdowns four interceptions. Thirty three hundred and fifty three yards. And completed sixty eight percent of his passes. So what status to a veteran? What what thirty seven four forty seven. Which rather have as a quarterback? I'd rather have thirty seven touchdowns and four intercepts then forty touchdowns and seven intercepts. I'd rather go with you. Okay. So the stats are almost passing wise are almost identical. And are you going to try and tell me did to lose any games? The answer is no did Murray losing games. Yes. Who plays in a Honda league? Once you answer that, and that's your that's that's the best case. So all this up. How would you possibly how would anybody possibly tell me? Looking those statistics one guy lost a game? One guy didn't lose a game. How would you possibly how would anybody possibly give the other guy the Heisman Trophy based on what basic it on? I'm being honest. What what would be the determining factor? They both have quarterback ratings over two hundred. Thirty seven in four versus forty seven. And that's because he was he was thirty seven and two. Remember he played Georgia game with a bad ankle from the first three two interceptions. Only thrown to in the regular season. Was two hundred and fifty before the game went down to two hundred two point to the at the highest one of all time the before his quarterback rating was to seventy six point five. He didn't lose a game. He played in the league that isn't even the same stratosphere as far as toughness not one league plays. Great defense top five players in the league. All over the league the top ten players on defense. Six of them in the SEC who were going to be picked in the pros. They're all in that league. Everybody knows that league is twice as hard as every other league. He plays in that league. Every week. He throws thirty seven touchdowns in Florence assets. Netherlands the game. Comes off winning a national championship. And you're going to give it to the guy who lost the game plays league with there is no defense. And so it's forty touchdowns and seventy intercepts and he's going to win the Heisman. Hey, I'm not gonna lose any sleep. If two it doesn't get it. But I wouldn't understand how somebody gave it to them. What would possibly be the thing that Murray did better? Sloughed their league lost. The game stats are basically the same. So I mean the level competition and just to show you Alabama's a flat point favorite over the other guys team. Bob and summit. What's up? Mike has the giants stocks fallen sulfide? We're actually going to talk today about what a shut in how many wins they should have versus. How many they really have? Let is the bottom line is listening could easily. More fun. The not championship team this year. That's what caught the great parcel championship team this year. Bob, sorry. They're just not they're not every year. Team. But I mean at six and six you'd have at least you have something to be rooting for. I understand that. But we have to really dig in. And why did they only have four to six not even happy costs because they're not a very good team. Understand. But you're talking to you. I like where they lost on a sixty three yard field goal. Okay. Mic. I can't like normal play. You're gonna tell me that there should be in the non championship team that can do. Michael change three plays in case three and they don't have one Super Bowl win. I mean. So what's the point? The season will be more exciting. That's the reason. I brought it up. All right. We know that we know that look good. I don't care. Then don't watch what you gonna tell. You don't watch them kneel and Oregon what's up? But if they were six and six that is the point. Hi, mike. How you doing? What's happened? Thanks for taking my call. Yes. Couple of NFL questions for you. I'm not going to happen that Mike McCarthy was fired. I don't think there's any doubt about that the thirteen years. Are you surprised to happen now? Now, not in the least probably wanted to be fired. Well, it was probably an Aaron Rodgers winning Powerball long. Is always wanna turn it into a fight here. Here's why it makes sense. Now, the Packers can do what they want out in the open Mike McCarthy can feel phone calls from prospective people want to hire him. And he also can start to put a staff together without game planning without acting like he's not doing his job without thinking about whether he's coming back next year. It's freeze them up. To go about his business. It was a courtesy. Do you think he gets the head coaching next year? Fifty fifty. I don't think there's a lotta head coaches out there could I see him getting a job. Absolutely. How many guys who in the league current can can? One Super Bowls are going to be available next year. Yeah. You're when you win a Super Bowl, and it always gives you a head up. You know when you're looking for another team. Because he's not a bad coach. One eight division titles in a Super Bowl. I mean. Like, I said, he's not a head coach. I got another question is Tampa Bay. Hi, I'm Mike McCarthy. Yes. Absolutely. I agree with that question for you just out of curiosity. You take the sum total of their careers. Who would you say the better overall quarterback? Dan Marino, drew Brees. Two different worlds. Dan Marino was a better player. I agree. I have different world. It's not it's apples and oranges. Drew Brees is playing in passing league that damn, you know, didn't play in Trump different world. Drew Brees does not have anywhere near the ability of Dan Marino. I agree. It's going to be a slight on them at all. Let me doesn't Dan Marino complete quarterback with anybody who ever lived. Do you think he's the greatest pocket thrower ever? I think he is. I listen. I don't I think I don't think he's much better than Dan. Fouts. Tremendous. I think he's I think he threw he was prettier. He had the release that name of had. He reminded me a name more than anybody else. He also lacked the mobility he had no mobility. I mean zero. In the pocket. He hated it. When you could get to him early. I mean, you could frustrate the heck I remember the giants when they were great. He came in. And they shut them out. I mean, he he the pressure. They put on a man, listen know, quarterback likes pressure know, quarterback likes pressure. But if you couldn't get to him he was gonna cut you to ribbons. He you can't listen if you wanna make the statement that nobody ever stood tall in a pocket. Suitable and Dan Marino, you can make that statement with confidence you can say guys through it as well. Nobody's ever thrown at better. Nobody I agree and the waiter guys who you got to put in there, you know, name it through it like that. Fouts threw it like that Sony Jorgensen through it like that, you know there before my time. Yeah. I mean, there are guys who could throw it like that. I mean, there really are I'll tell you who is a great thrower at a ball. He wasn't a great player. But it was just a pure throw the ball. Vinny Testaverde was a great thrower 'table now through a lot interceptions because he did not have the instincts of some of the other quarterbacks. But if you're just talking pure put him in a seven on seven drill and have a seven on seven drill. He might not lose anybody who ever lived. I mean every pass. Yeah. Look how we came to the ravens and the jets. I mean, he's thirty five interceptions of the bucket near. He was. Sells the Fairwood Postles. He was almost pita league. When they went to the NFC AFC championship game. He only eight interceptions that year. He had thirty touchdowns eight interceptions. He had a great year. Vinnie? Could throw it with anybody. Now didn't have the vision was in din of the instincts or some quarterbacks was not a great quarterback. He was a good quarterback. Not a great one. But you could throw what anybody make any throw throw. He couldn't make. John and Connecticut, what's up, John? Hey, Mike, thanks for taking the cabin. Well, listen, you know, I agree with your your your position is the Alabama quarterback get the hype. But what I heard about passer rating, I rooted people. To compare the two against each other. What else am I gonna use? Well, you use your new people. They couldn't use passer rating. I don't like gossiping, we're not talking NFL. Anyway, was his college. First of all, okay. They they play completely different schedules. My point is that they both have very high passer ratings. They both have outrageously Gordy numbers. But one is undefeated ends playing in a much tougher league than the other. I really don't understand. How anyone could not give it to the undefeated player? Who all you saw? Last year was him come off the bench in the last game of the season..

"But we've seen before you could put just about anybody in there. And that is talented as they are. They're going to win a ton of games. I can't even imagine what this ball team looks like if Tyler Murray isn't at the hell putting up the Godley numbers. He's put up all season long. They gave up fifty six points last week at West Virginia. They needed fifty nine to win. Tyler Murray has answered the bell all season long as a redshirt junior from Allen, Texas, which is just north of Dallas began his career at Texas AM where his dad Kevin was a quarterback in the mid eighties transferred to Oklahoma sat out his transfer year was behind Baker Mayfield on his Heisman Trophy winning year last year. Can forty touchdown passes for Oklahoma may be getting them into the college football playoff. We'll see they need some help. Here's the kickoff from left to right. Little Jordan Humphry on the short kick has it at the eight yard line right up. The right hash cuts. The little twenty twenty five yard line thirty darts inside thirty five forty breaks. A tackle the mid field kicking a peak gets by a thirty twenty touchdown ninety two yard kickoff return score. And we're not done yet in Arlington. But there is a flag down all the way back at the thirty yard line. There's Reggie Smith. Only. Ten yard penalty from. For the penalties against taxes really have been the story of this game. Thirteen penalty of this game for the Texas longhorns. Wow. I only had a chance. To feel that one because of the penalty remember on the touchdown celebration. Kicked off from the twenty yard line tops. And they just show up. We just saw it in house. Thompson did have a handful of jersey outside the shoulder row. Look, I had TJ pleasure. Coming down on the kickoff team. I do think that's the right call. But man, what a costly costly penalty. Negates a touchdown for little George Humphry thirteen penalty against Texas that would against Josh Thomson. Wipes out long kickoff return. But instead Texas will start at the twenty yard line. One forty seven to go down. Twelve elegant has time throws over the middle. Eighties complete do Verde the forty yard line left sidelined forty five and just before mid field is out of bounds will call the forty eight yard line for of twenty eight with a minute thirty nine to go and Texas meeting a couple of scores do Verde shallow crosser and he runs away from Trey Brown that speed on speed. Both track is back in high school big pickup on first down for Texas. I out of ten at the forty eight yard line with one thirty nine to go on the clock. Waiting in the gun. Elegant takes the snap looks surveys rose to the near sideline it is caught heading out of bounds. George Humphry on a nine yard gain marked out of bounds of forty three yard line of Oklahoma with a minute thirty four to go Humphry workout to slide. Just an out route excellent timing. What's give between Sam etlinger lotto? Tab before Humphry gets out of bounds. Thirty four on the clock trailing thirty nine to twenty seven. From the forty four of OU staff to Elliott pressure coming now darts away from it circles to his left rolling throws sidelining complete looking for Colin Johnson right on that boundary with a minute. Twenty six to go. Good pressure inside by the Oklahoma defense pocket kinda just collapsed. Sam etlinger spins out of it back to his laugh a near sidelines. Looking for Colin Johnson down the field? Unable to connect with a netball sails out of bounds. So that brings up third down in one for Texas here clearly before down territory from the forty four yard line. It's a Cape etlinger, and he's got the first of the forty. They're gonna have to use a time out here minute. Twenty two to go on the clock. Let's see they're gonna I stopped the clock to move the chains. And they're gonna go quick years. They might say that time out here we go restart the clock with a minute twenty to go first down from the forty yard line of Oklahoma for Texas etlinger has it has time or rifles one down the scene is caught Gerard hurt. His first reception of the day and taken down inside the twenty yard line to the nineteen yard line by Caleb Kelly. Nice pass from Sam elegant Gerard heard of the skinny post. Fires are striking. Nice pickup. Twenty two yard pick up to the nineteen minute. Five is the restart. The clock elegant looking ends on fires Johnson tips. It can't come up with it guarded by Parnell. Motley tipped it at a second chance at it. Couldn't come up with it. Motley defending the big six six receiver motley doing already, but really Colin Johnson just doesn't come down with the Colin Johnson falling back as that balls delivered. He gets it initially bats enough. But he tries to catch it. He's backwards. But it falls out of his hands this opportunity by Colin. Johnson is at pass was on target. He just couldn't bring it in fifty nine seconds to go down twelve empty backfield Texas at the nineteen yard line three receivers right to to the left in the gun. There's the snap. They'll rush. Four etlinger throws editors picked off the lawn yard line by trade. Lorde? There's down at the five and that may do it Parnell Molly with the tip Norwood with the interception at how about Oprah homeless defense. Big plays in the fourth quarter in this big twelve title game, big time, fat grow. Thereby Sam hellinger eastern. Really good all day long memo exactly what he was looking at. He threw it outside as if he thought George out George Humphrey kept running out the field. It's initially tipped by hornell, Molly to picked off by trade Norwood, huge, huge stocks. But Oklahoma defense here in the second half. I call him a corner trays you've got Trey Brown. One side Traynor would on the other trae Brown had the safety on the sack of eligible in the end zone. And now trae Norwood with his first interception of the season. To maybe put Oklahoma into the college football playoff. Cuyler murray. Dancing is Texas doesn't bring a rush finally takes me at the four yard line with forty seconds to go leading by twelve. The Texas fans are headed to the exits the Oklahoma fans they're gonna root hard for the Alabama crimson tide Mcgann that gets underway in Atlanta in less than a half hour. And then we'll all just wait and see how it shakes out the college football playoff selection show tomorrow at noon eastern on ESPN. Bo this championship game. There was a lot of high coming in. It's the Red River rematch big twelve championship on the line. And man, did it live up to the billing and some fantastic effort by both these teams, but it's the Oklahoma Sooners four straight big twelve championships and opportunity to get back to the college football playoff. Three twelve big twelve title extol history as they final gun. Sounds Oklahoma beat Texas thirty nine to twenty seven Oklahoma of benching their only loss of the season eight weeks ago to Texas to go to twelve and one on the season. And now they just await other results around the country. Alabama beat Georgia doping up that four spot Ohio State sitting right behind Oklahoma plays the big ten championship later on today. So much to still be decided. As Murray throws for three hundred seventy nine yards and three touchdowns. Trae sermon you call them the closer sixty five big runs and a touchdown late CD lamb at six catches one hundred sixty seven yards. They overcome the second half loss of marquees Brown. And let's go downstairs now to answered sevens. His guy the Oklahoma flag in his hands. He's a little windy read about two hundred yards collar Murray quarterback of Oklahoma. Describe this feeling you're a big twelve champion, Texas. No, I wasn't exaggerating. When I said he hit two hundred yards as you hold his flag. We weren't fall season. All also. Position. Member right now. The long room. So what did they talk to another one up? Breath for second. You head coach told me earlier this week. It wasn't about revenge. Playoff. It was about being the first ever to win four straight conference championships. What does that mean to you would that measures be to you guys? History books. Does rally center knows. Now a lot of stuff that hasn't been begun. And this is something that hasn't done. We just did it to viewpoints come down here. The college football playoff committee, and there's a lot to watch this afternoon. And again enjoy watching it because you want your message to the committee. The college football playoff committee about your Sooners as what? Message wants us all season. That's just me. Thunder Spurs a Heisman race, and you're talking to you just you smiled under you're not about individual awards, but the other three sooner quarterbacks thrown Burley's, forty touchdowns in a season of all won the Heisman. What did your what does this say about you just trying to come to work every day? Oh, my God is get better every day. Just before cell phone, hopefully, enhance your plan theflag, Chris. Guys. Every time. I set a diamond into an engagement ring. I'm reminded that.

"It's scale art at that position because where do you go to hear that adulation again? And when you. MVP running back in today's game, skipping, if getting harder and harder for the running back to win that award because the quarterback keep putting up these Godley numbers, keep throwing for four and five plus yards. Thirty forty touchdown with under ten picks so is getting harder and harder for the running back. Adrian Peterson, won the MVP at the running back with in a quarterback era. We would agree that this is the very quarterback friendly era. Even though I thought Peyton should've wanted that you could have easy one comeback Adrian, but go ahead and so he sees give me like I'm a five, six, seven time all pro league in rushing. I've been an MVP that's all he sees. He doesn't see a guy that's declining that can't carry the ball, three hundred three hundred and fifty times in a season because we're the last see because we're the closest to. Okay. So only three backs in the history of this league have gone for thousand yards past the age of thirty three, which age. Green is right now, and that's John Riggins. Did you play against show Wrigley, but jer. What Curtis Martin know Franco Harris, Frank gore k. so those are three. Three big time backs. And does Adrian have that sort of potential because he's a weight room, workout warrior, you would think so. But he's taking a beating man. I collusion by. He's taking a lot when he was at Oklahoma. He just looked for linebackers to run over. He played running back like he was aligned back, but it's hard for me to believe that in the time that he did miss what he missed, two games, and then he missed fifteen games. But if you look at the amount since he's been in the league and the amount of cares that he have on his body, it hard for me to believe that Franko in that same amount of time has those amount of carries on his body. Frank gore has those amount of cares on his body. So with different, as you mentioned, he's an impact. He the collision running back that take something out of, he's not like an Emmett Smith it. You wouldn't get into clean shot on Emmett. You weren't getting cleaned Marcus. Adam played seventeen years. You weren't going to get a clean shot. There've been a lot of clean shots taken on Adrian Peterson, so can't he get you seven. Hundred yards Kip. I believe he can go get you probably fifty maybe fifty yards a game over the course of sixteen games. So if he unseats one, rob Kelley as the starting running back for the Washington Redskins, then I will stand corrected because then that's fine. That's a great way to be surprised if that happened. That would be surprised because rob Ellen's, yeah, but the way they spoke about him yesterday, the way Jay Gruden spoke about him was like, he's just an insurance policies. We're happy to have him on our raw just in case Jagran talks about it, Mike. He LeRoy killing. Okay. Well, that's true. LeRoy Kelly Kelly's pretty. All, but Somalia p Ryan. They like he's just got a bad ankle right. Jimmy with Nick last year, remember? Yeah. But if he gets healthy, I think they like him more than they're going to like Adrian Peterson that he nicknamed college some to. "Andrew luck back on the field for the Indianapolis Colts You know it's it's interesting to see how he does this year that's probably, one of, the, talk. Earlier in the show about people's interest level in the NFL and the swirling negatively and blah blah blah one, of the story lines that people might be watching is Andrew luck this season being out for so long and he's. A guy, who if you recall was sort of anointed before he came into the league as next up I mean. They jettison Peyton Manning in favor of Andrew luck and he lived up to it for the most part I won't say all the way because too many interceptions not a tremendous amount of, success on the latter end though that he did have some, success clearly record. Wise and on the field the beginning of. His career for through forty touchdowns one year eleven and five I believe a few, those years as well so Andrew luck. Lived up to it in some of that mom then Suffered the injury of course and a lot, of people would blame the offensive line for it but has missed a significant amount of time and to get back. Into that, sort of sport it takes some both mentally and physically in order to do that so it'll be interesting. To see how Andrew luck response now that he is back out on

"Hey, Robert, good afternoon, gentlemen, so nice to talk to you. I cannot wait for football and baseball. Let's get to football. All right. I have a two part question for you. Both shoot quest part one. If I said to you, the Tom Brady will throw forty touchdown in excess of five thousand yards and patriots go thirteen and three, which last me out of the building or say right on par to is this who is their toughest challenge in the AFC the Texans, the chargers or the Steelers. Okay. A couple other teams I would throw in there as well car rebounds in Oakland. I think the raiders are still very good. The chiefs Patrick Mahomes obviously is a big question Mark, but they are capable of being, I think the Super Bowl team everywhere outside of the quarterback spot. But no, I, I think the patriots absolutely are still the favorite to go to the Super Bowl close of their division because they are guaranteed almost guaranteed a first round. Bye and certainly guaranteed a first round home game because they're going to win their division and I- numbers. I mean, Kirk, those numbers that Robert throughout their for Tom Brady, I think those those numbers are closer to being accurate than inaccurate thousand yards and forty touchdowns as long as gronk stays healthy. He's capable of that. That's, but that's not who they are. They, they're not gonna throw for five thousand yards. That's just not who the patriots are. They changed their. Game plans from week to week, so they're not going to act time thing about five thousand yards. You're talking about having to throw the ball, you know, three, four hundred yards almost per game. That's not what the patriots wanna do. They'll they'll win a game. You know, twenty three to seventeen with Tom Brady throwing for two hundred yards what they rush for two twenty five or they get some help defensively in a couple of turnovers or they've been enganed where maybe feel position game. And Stephen guest hausky kicked five field goals where it could be a little bit snowy things like that. On with this. I don't. I just. Five thousand I would. He's gonna reach five thousand. He's gonna reach forty. But if the idea is if choice a is thirty two hundred yards and twenty five touchdowns or forty touchdowns at five thousand yards, which number will he end up being closer to almost as going to be closer to forty touchdowns and five thousand yards. If you look at Brady over the last say five years as he has gotten older, see start to question his legs, his ability his health throw at twenty sixteen because the suspension just look at twenty eleven on fifty two hundred yards. Thirty nine touchdowns forty eight hundred yards. Thirty four touchdowns forty three hundred yards. Twenty five touchdowns forty one hundred yards. Thirty three touchdowns forty eight hundred yards..

"In in in into pretty tight coverage to i mean you've you've left that part out he had a good pass there what what is also a great drive to set up that fluky touchdown in kansas city was it not being managed at offense derek henry ran a hundred and sixty five yards you don't think it's possible against the new england patriots defense which isn't that good quite honestly i mean statistically across the board we talked about this is not good outside of points allow richer there is the most key ingredient i understand that tennessee cannot s cannot cannot settle for feel goalfilled field goal palooza they have the panchen into the red zone do you realize that marcus murray oda as bad as he is as buki as that touchdown was in kansas city and again it was fluky fluky fluky it was dug fluky marcus mary oda since entering the nfl in 2015 hear of any touchdown passes and how many interceptions years in the red zone anybody no forty touchdown passes to no interceptions in the red zone that's the best down the interception ratio in the nfl in that span in the red zone forty touchdowns zero interceptions so he takes care of a football they run the ball well he's athletic the patriots defense isn't as good as it sometimes usually is that great it has it honestly the patriot defense has been more up and down than you would think it has been for matt patricia abenas hot of a candidate as he is and the genius known as bill bellichik why because they've had injuries because they have a lack of depth and because they have a lack of a pass rush we were trade flowers your best pass rusher trouble if i understand that he takes care of the ball in the red zone he needs to get there he's got forty touchdowns in the red zone that means in his career right he only has eight teen touchdowns not in the red zone with thirty four picks and when you're going against tom brady in foxborough i'm sorry you're going to need to make some big plays versus trying to get it done in in the red zone irish then i understand that all i'm saying is is when they get in the red zone.
