Phill Kline on How to Stop Them Stealing the Next Election
"Do we make sure this does not happen again. fell i. You have to hold state legislatures accountable and under current law. They are not accountable. They need to have a standing committee they need to pass legislation. that has a standing committee. That's bipartisan that. Has subpoena power that compel people to testify and produce documents. Whose charges that. They must issue a report one whether the election was lawful and followed regulations to it did not wear. Did it not three. What was the impact in four. Should the election be certified. All of that should be open and understandable and provided to the american people. You have to ban private money. Many of our states are doing that wrong but we have to ban private money in the elections and we have to eliminate these dropbox. When you say doing it wrong. What are they doing well. Georgia passed a law. That said private monies allowed if it's appropriated by local government. Well that's exactly what's convert. Did he bypassed. The state legislature directly to local government gave them grants and they use the money as an example in wisconsin. That money was used to give Democrats cities forty seven dollars of voter turnout the vote and republican areas. That was four dollars. Voter you go to pennsylvania. There was a zucker box every four square miles in strong democrat county delaware county. They also had ballot harvesters paid for and unlawfully by zuckerberg money flowing through a nonprofit in the fifty nine counties in the trump won in two thousand sixteen. The which one sucker box for every eleven hundred and fifty nine square miles. You have to keep the private money out and that state has to as have the courage to treat every voter the same. What we saw twenty twenty was the same democrat strategy of the deep south of the turn of the nineteenth century where they tried to turn out one type of vote. That was the white vote. They tried to suppress one type of vote. That was the black vote this time it was. They tried to use government to turn out the democrat. Vote and they tried to suppress the republican vote. It shouldn't be allowed. It can't happen
"forty seven dollars" Discussed on The Art of Online Business
"We need to be the ones looking at the numbers and having that intuition about what is really going on and how do we. How do we fix it. What were some of the things that you did to fix it once you've identified what because it's one of the hardest things to do right as like slow down. Shouldn't you shut the ads off. say okay. let's let's look at the numbers here. What's going on what's tell the story. Let's try to paint the picture. What's happening so once you did that. What were some of the things that you did too because you didn't know obviously like oh we do this. It's gonna work right. So what were some things that you started the test to see if they were not. Yeah so once. I stopped gripping the stick to tight. What was going what you know. What i thought was going on some of the things that we started to better understand were that our customer doesn't just meet us and want commit to us like we need to slow down here and understand what the customer value journey looks like so we looked at the stages of awareness in and then people engage with you then they subscribe then they convert then you excite them and then you ascend them up your value ladder. So where we really started was around our conversion rates in our email automations. So you know what what's happening. There are people because there's no point in filling a bunch of leads in an empty bucket like we have to find out are people converting. So i because. I don't want to drive a bunch of leads in their if we're just gonna lose them out of leaky bucket. So that's where we really started looking at the email automations and finding out what percentage are converting at that stage. How did you. I know that that bills to the super super data guy and trot lakes love to track. Everything is there a simplified way to explain how you were realizing. Oh somebody in here and then they become a customer down here. Yeah we just try to look at the tags that we use active campaign for email so if somebody gets dropped into an email series. How many of them achieve that sale at the end of that email series. Like that was just an easy way to know. You know we got. We had this many sales and this many people went through the series charges that conversion ratio. Yeah and then. What does the price point of the offers that you're making so at the high i guess at the highest point or our core offer call. It was forty seven dollars per month. So it's a monthly membership which is.
T-Mobile has a new 5G wireless plan
"You're obviously going to hear a lot more about five g this year as the major wireless carriers continue to make those networks available to more consumers among them is t mobile which just revealed details on a new plan coming up. Yes indeed yet. T. mobile's announce a new magenta. Max plan which takes place of the magenta plus plan and it will cost about the same that that plan had which was about fifty four dollars per line a month for three line plan but for a limited time you can sign up for a three line plan. That is about forty seven dollars per line per month that includes all taxes fees when you use auto pay now a single line under the magenta mex plan costs eighty dollars but each additional added brings down the overall auto pay costs forty seven dollars under the current promotion and this plan is also available for small businesses can cover up the twelve employees. Now why would you wanna do this. If you already have a plan or on another carrier t mobile says its new unlimited five g and four g premium data plan. That data will not be slowed. No matter how much data you use. Now why would you wanna do that. If you already have a plan or on another carrier t mobile says its new unlimited five g and four g premium data will not be slowed. No matter how much data you use under this new plant competing unlimited plans may temporarily slow data after certain milestones reached. Now with this new plan. You also get more hotspot data forty gigabytes up from twenty gigabytes of the current plan. You get the stream. Four k video and previously hd and several other features including free scam blocking and caller. Id new customers who do not have a five g phone can trade in the current phone and get a new five g. Won t mobile's twenty four month interest. Free plan t will also let customers on other plans bring their five g phone over and pay off up to six hundred and fifty dollars of existing payments for that phone without any switching costs. So can i just say if i hear another service that uses the word plus max to describe itself. I'm probably gonna pull what's left of my hair out. I feel like every single service of late is a plus max. There have to be other words but anyway so we're seeing five g roll out. Obviously how good is it right now. So bread is still far from being available everywhere. Here in northern. Virginia i get five g connectivity on on the verizon iphone have and also on the samsung t mobile phone i use but around the us t mobile currently covers more than two hundred and eighty million americans with its five g network but just more than one hundred million with the super fast speeds that get you to the three hundred gigabytes per second range now in comparison with traditional phones. Use four g lt. You're lucky to get fifty megabits per second. Now t mobile said it plans to reach two hundred million this year with the super fast speeds in recent tests run by open signal from for the month of january t mobile users connected to five g. Almost one third of the time thirty percent eighteen five g users connected eighteen percent of the time and verizon connected nine point five percent now. These are all improvements for the month of january according open signal. What's tests five g around the country. The good news is that typically t. mobile's actions lead to movement by the competition so all consumers might be seen better deals and kind of in the days ahead. I'll

Redditors took on hedge funds over GameStop stock and won. So what now?
"Video game retailer. That's not doing business. Right now just toppled in value on friday. Game stop was worth forty three dollars a share and a bunch of people got together on read it on a message board called wall street bets and they just decided. Let's buy up game. Stop stock and push prices higher and higher now a sheriff game one three hundred and forty seven dollars. Those read it. Based investors made lots of money they have also up ended the entire stock market and bled dry a bunch of hedge funds so much so the white house and treasury now monitoring. What's going on erin. Griffith is also monitoring. What's going on as a reporter for the new york times and she joins me now a aaron. Can you explain. I the origin. There's so there's a reddit thread where people talk about. Trading on wall street stuff called wall street bets is that right right and has about two million users i think and it's not just unrooted. They're also lots of other places on social media where people are gathering talk about stocks. Obviously out there on twitter there on dischord channel which actually shut down today for reasons that are unrelated but the mets people getting together and talking about stocks and it's become extremely popular in the pandemic because While there's no sports the worse there's not a lot of gambling. People are bored and so robin hood which is a stock trading app that has a mission of democratising investing has become extremely popular over the last year. A lot of people are day trading. Now right to robin was. Yeah so basically that. That's where it started right so you can get other robinhood app and thousand dollars or five hundred dollars or you don't have to have some huge amount of money right. You go on this board now. The origin of this as i understand it was it was kind of a troll and it was a troll directed at a bunch of hedge funds had made what's called shorts. They were betting the game stopped. Stock would go down. because it's business looked imperil. does that. is that how it worker started. Yes yes basically A lot of red investors have some kind of vendetta against shortsellers. I'm part of this comes from elon. Musk tesla is one of the most shorted most bet against stocks. And he has. This kind of say is very anti short-selling and So there's kind of manipulation that you can do where if the stock goes way up the short seller's hedge funds that are betting against the company betting on its docks no down. They get squeezed and the higher. The stock goes the more you know. The more the more money they're losing it can become really ugly for them and so they have the the traders know this and they kind of turned it into a game. This is the first time happened before of till ray. Which is a cannabis. Had that happen to them before. But it's definitely the first time it's happened at this scale right so that's interesting. I don't think i that elon. Musk doesn't like shorts. And a lot of people that run companies don't like shorts because what shortsellers do is say we bet on. You're gonna you're doing bad and our selves can drive your stock down. So they go and they look at this stock game. Stop that a lot of wall street hedge funds and said you're in trouble. We're going to bet against you. And they were like we'll take the other side of the bet. We'll rally to rescue the day game. Stop stock and am i right that there's like multiple hedge funds that have now lost billions of dollars on this. I don't know how many have have lost and how much. But there's there's definitely. At least one hedge fund. Melvin capital that had to take a three billion dollar bailout a from a fellow fund over rumors that by the going out of business. They denied that anyone who is short on the stock shorting. A stock is extremely risky. And so anyone who had that position is is definitely hurting right now and tweeted about drawing more attention to it in now all this news coverage the fact that the stock was halted nine times yesterday. The trading was because of so much volatility is drawing more attention to it getting more people sort of rallying in this area absurd mischievous game. So here's what i don't quite get like. At a certain point. I guess this started to get momentum of its own because it doesn't seem like the number of people who've downloaded the robin hood app and are on this reddit. Thread kinnock possibly account for the volume. That is pouring into this stock. Yeah i think. That's a good point. And i think a lot of people are sort of framing like oh this is the little guys rising up against the evil hedge funds and i mean that is worth noting that the hedge funds are also in wall street. Beds there look. They're following this. They're looking at what people are doing. And there are definitely enough people who are day trading on robin to to kind of move. The market share significant are move the market cap significantly of small or thinly traded companies. So big investors are following this now too. I mean you saw a who's very prominent. Silicon valley investor. Tweet that he was following it to i. There's probably some some big money playing in this alongside the read the verdict
How Great Sales Ethics Lead to Greater Profits Selling Ethically Joel Malkoff - burst 10
"They were educating them nowadays. It doesn't exist. You know the premise of mistrust. The salespeople as reached a point and now with the internet if you wanna buy something you have no desire to speak to salesperson. You look at the website you look at rankings. You decide yourself what product you want to buy. And it's only if the product is presented only. Do you have to speak to the salesperson to get a price quote or a better understanding of what's going on but in general really marketing advertising it percents products. Now it's no longer. The salesperson selling so that paradigm is shifting it becomes even more important to salesperson becomes a problem solver and to consult you i you know we. We've talked about bayton. Switch it used to be a bigger deal remember you know. It was a bigger deal years ago when they would advertise price for something and they would say oh. Gosh i'm allow right and then they would sell you something else right. But there's a new form of bait and switch. Now that i noticed like people will say i. You know they'll say. I have sold this company this company and this company this company all these things you know and i can get you the same thing as them and then when you actually talk to them right. What they're doing is they're selling you something completely different than what they're telling you that they're doing. I just had somebody who said i can get you. I can get you these high dollar coaching clients right and they started listening for me All these high these coaching clients that they quote unquote said that they got other coaches right so went to go question them further because i knew it was not real right and i said well let me put me in touch with them. Well all of a sudden they can't put me in touch with them right. Yes right. I said well let me talk to them and find out how they're you know how I can't do that with two bolts. Because you know that's the new bait and switch now is that we're seeing emails. We're seeing direct messages. That are telling people this is all wonderful things that we do but then we get there. It's not some wonderful. Yeah i mean. I had just yesterday. I went to join the seminar a summit meeting a lot. Good business leakers All over the emails free free free freight right you know. And then i go to sign up. And i can't click on free while they're trying to sell me a fifty dollar entrance fee right. So then i get access to these ten thousand dollars worth of papers and articles and it just kept scrolling pages and pages and pages and all it was forty seven dollars only forty seven dollars writing. What is that knowledge. And it was no place to click on free. So i actually had to bounce off it basically the same thing. It's it's amazing switch. They lured me in with the word free. But yet i couldn't click on it just didn't exist sent. You're right that that's completely all over the place to me just yesterday. My son got an email where somebody wanted. Small business wanted to get him a amazon thirty dollars gift certificate right if he did a five star ranking rating on their product. So he said that is an ethical. I said no. I said it could be ago if they said know his thirty dollars. Gift certificate rank in any way you wanna rank it right then. At least they were something to speak about. It could be a little bit of gray but it wasn't completely unethical It's all over. It's it's it's literally is happening everywhere. It's lowering its fade switch. It's it's the way it wasn't biblical times. It hasn't changed just vehicles different. So this is where. I'm paid thirty seven. You say something that. I think is absolutely brilliant. You say it's no longer. Let the buyer be where but let the seller beware. It is the seller's responsibility to be honest and transparent elaborate more on that. Yeah we kind of grew up with caviar into a latin term was. Let the buyer. Beware and you felt like you had to go. You had to know what was going on. It's not some salesperson. Was going to hurt you. So the selling ethically is builds. The ethical premise of the salesperson is the samsung versus responsibility to inform the buyer Through full disclosure through being honest through not slandering the competitor when the seller be wears than the buyer has the level trust and that said the improve the buy sell relationship. So that is the premise. The is about the book is about improving a cell's ability to be ethical s. Not saying a buyer has no responsibility. Nowadays people go into buy through amazon because so inexpensive but you might feel very comfortable going into a camera store and taking a salesperson. It's time to learn all the technical aspects with no intention of buying from that story. When i do that. I'm very upfront. Where i'm going into that store and i'm telling salesperson cameras store you know. I need to be relatively close to the price. I can buy it online. If your price can be relatively close and we'll pay you for your added provided service but mcintyre you thirty to forty percent more right so i'll bring it right up front so the The buyer also has to have concerned about the seller's time.
Bitcoin Dominance Increases
"Trading. Wise. It nothing really neglected the markets and the felt damn good. Every day just tighten awakened away from from the shots was read honest refreshing thing and it's brought me into position now feel better about looking at once again. Yet. So it's been good as far as the mangams consent of talking about eleven thousand, one, hundred, twenty dollar mock around that region, which was the also pull level as before the the full bitcoin fell and you know we we have found resisted that level. We bounced off it on. What was Saturday. Pullback yesterday we're up point four, percent yesterday were down one point five percent. We actually close the wake up five point, seven percent, which is a pretty good week following on that cradle break it's a, it's a good week No complaints from me at all the markets have been a little bit slow for the traders. There was a couple of good trades on the I think it was five, four hour las not. The showed up It was at six PM Bob Wilson. Wasn't. So I wasn't there They look quite good. Right now, I was sitting at ten, thousand, nine, hundred, sixty, two save push up through the high that was created on. Saturday. Leading thousand, one, hundred, ninety, five. Thousand two hundred, we got three there, and hopefully we can say goodbye to that resistance and get a good run on get some good trends BEC into play because it has been a little bit. LASTA over the last few days and that market hasn't done a great deal of moving locker said ten, thousand, nine, hundred, and sixty one point four percent rotten. Now, a theory is still very sought look at realistically needs to get about four hundred. That's the point where I think we might see some is there on a theory of the weekly. Dig Close, up not by much one point, two percent were up twenty, three, percent three, hundred, seventy, three dollars raw now little market. I'm really jumping up and down to try to the nor is exa pay, which is currently twenty four point six cents flat. On yesterday thus far the weekly Kennel it did close up. Enclosed at one point, eight percent. So a little a little pop of wind to the upside, their daily trendies office it's very average. It's not. You know it's not exciting me in any. Sense, of the word. Bitcoin. Cash was down yesterday solid three percent closing at two twenty, six, twenty interestingly the weekly a dig close up. But again, only one point eight percent against showing that bitcoin dominance is starting to return to be the perfect storm that potentially that will speak to you about in just a moment. Bitcoin to Bitcoin cash to twenty, seven, seventy five, which represents a point senator sending so far on the dye lot finished the week actually down, it was down two point, two percent it closed at forty seven dollars and nine saints. It's forty, seven and fourteen, which represents a point one percent. It looks very wake at the moment that thanks said you could very easily push up. It's GonNa get three, fifty, one dollars thirty four to get that trend looking. The why? Though I want to look full for to be essentially reasonable for me? It's not there yet, and until we do get there until, of course, we full further It's not trying to make base again bit of the of a good full yesterday I fought the sent Dan it's a market that I'm watching this show is it was down lost weight five point seven, three percents. Well, it closed one hundred and fifty three dollars a ninety, six percents and look. It it's in a daily death. It is a daily down trend is a weekly momentum down the to our. Quite, good there on faith cradles physically city. They're just waiting to see how that goes throughout the and save account. Get anything. It's a one, fifty, four, fifty, five, point four. percent. Today. Cod Donald. Love to see a low coming here in a push up through that ten cent motte to get daily trim back into. The swing thing. It's not done that It was Dallas weeks pretty heavily six percent Pretty heavily considering it was a sly wake at sitting I point nonsense rotten now bonnets. Lost Weight was down fourteen point nine, four percent closing at twenty, six, thirty full. It's on the twenty six, thirty four right now which oversees. On, the Diet and yesterday down three point three percent bonds will sort of get his engine running again on. I'm sure probably will if we get a bull market but there's nothing that fraternity for me at this time of also very flat the weight that was was pretty average. It was down two percent very, very little volatility on a US at the moment and Sorta does it. Will Spike that way its up point four percent rotten out to sixty three cents. But Very Saad wise. Not Try to
Bitcoin Dominance Theory
"Let's do what we don't discuss the mock and what's going on because yesterday we did say bitcoin pretty good troy and I'm going to call it a try. It did full through as hyped with the diaper, which was up three point three, six, percent gutter pretty kate levels there, and we are holding above ten thousand, five, hundred I'd like to say a little bit more Gas. Star if you will from bitcoin yesterday, what we closed up a percent, we close at seven to ten, thousand, seven, hundred, ninety full. Now, what does that mean to me? Or. Quite simply put what that means to me as well. It gave a little back didn't amazed. At one stage, we were up roughly tune off set. And we pull back away from those highs. We did. We did come back about one point full percent. We did touch a high of ten, thousand, nine, hundred, thirty, three as we saw to approach that eleven thousand dollar mark and I think if we can get through eleven with, we really are starting to look better. It's it's just crawling. is not doing what it did. If you recall back through the end of July twenty seventh paying the mind where we sort eleven percent, we did say some increase volatility back into bitcoin with multiple falls and falls in sixes and that sort of thing percentage moves. It really has slowed up. But It still looks good. It's just a little bit. Now, the real interesting thing that I've found with the market lightly. And I was speaking to my. To the people that were in the live trading full of warning about this. I was looking at the bitcoin dominance. dude look at the bitcoin dominance shots from the top of my list of sudden missile got there and look over the loss and just can't seem on. This particular child doesn't move very much. So when I tell you that too, it's hot out full point one percent that's actually quite a decent move. It doesn't tend to have massive dice big one percent or a big dies won't percent yesterday was one point four percents that was a pretty big die. Bitcoin dominance using up point four percent now. The reason that I bring this up is it's actually important. There's a lot of things that I have saying when it comes to trading crypto. Remotely mostly when Bitcoin Sideways, what we ended up having is will have oats that work. Well, the FI trying to they taste say becomes a really good option. You know we we can short Xiv we can go along against that market. We'd leverage with spot we tend to say some really good moves. But at the moment. It's not sort of being the case we saw Bitcoin at ten thousand hanging around there and we we really didn't have a great deal of good trends. We did which the spark a big move but like a site spock's moves like they weren't exactly what I was, you know what I considered to be optimal trading conditions. So at the moment. Yes know looking at a A. Little, bit perplexed by what's happening. It's almost like a different dynamic is coming in. Now the dynamic that we haven't had of light has been bitcoin really having a good move member. If you around back in two thousand seventeen, typically ALZ would go up and the money would come and go back into bitcoin and bitcoin within takeoff and it would be a bit say so it was only for. For six months. Leading up until December period. Now. That's the only thing that we haven't seen really strong bitcoin words. The tykes back the throne and so does his hang on, hang hang on bitcoin ongoing now it's GonNa move. Have it saying that? Will we see that will full but it's just a theory on putting at sharing my thoughts on what's going on what I'm saying out there in the mock would damn point seven percent currently on. Bitcoin. At ten, thousand, seven, hundred, ten. The theory looking a lot weaknesses will show when I go through this. You'll say the ALZ even the top ten or thereabouts of have really had a bit of lead been lacking. Three point five percent down was a theorem yesterday. That's what it closed that closing at three sixty full one full and it's now down one point five, three, fifty, eight, point, six, two. So it looks more Barrington bullish except play fish that down one point nine percent today so far has sparked low that were twenty three point eight cents yesterday was down one percents and nothing too drastic yesterday as a matter of fact, the selling in exile place it'll happened to Hoffa now around that open time ten I am we we did say come off quite significantly good two and a half three percent at one stage it has since bounced back on Bitcoin cash now. Yesterday, it was up four percent today. It is down two point eight percent giving back where twenty, eight, point, four, five, and again looking pretty average their lot Quan as well. Yesterday, it closed down one point, six percent of forty eight dollars and thirty three cents. A pretty average looking shot needs to get about fifty dollars really. Could we setting high potential to push US hi through that it's forty seven dollars and seventy one cents at the moment base via up by one percent closing at one, sixty, five, seven, three. With down two percent at one sixty two right now and not much going on there either car down rolling over quite nicely. This could be potential opportunity for shorting on those lower timeframe. So they sitting at nonsense down two and a half percent yesterday closing three point six
Germany promises Elon Musk full support to get Tesla's Berlin plant ready
"Moving onto the stock, then volatile day for the Nasdaq and for Tesla Tesla finished down five point eight percent on the day to four hundred and forty seven dollars thirty seven cents. So just a bit above where the split happened at around four forty two but that did compared to the Nasdaq finishing up one percent today. So this provides a good illustration of the potential downsides of the at the market structure that Tesla has employed for this potential up to five. Billion, dollar capillaries that we had talked about yesterday. The stock is now down about ten percent from when that agreement was put in place, which demonstrates the risk of not just raising at that fixed price at the time. Of course, with the structure, you have to be comfortable with that risk and presumably not wanting to raise that money badly enough to do it at a lower price and status giving yourself the option if the price stays at that level or goes. Hi. I'm not sure currently on whether we get any sort of updates or when we get updates on whether or not Tesla has issued new shares as a part of that equity distribution agreement. So I'll try to do a little bit more digging on that but if anyone has the insight on that, please let me know for now though because the stock has fallen would be surprised if they have acted on that and issued any new shares we did have just. A couple of pieces of news specifically related to the stock today one is from significant Tesla investor Baillie Gifford. An investment firm that has for a long time held greater than five percent of the outstanding shares up Tesla stock that five percent level requires additional disclosures around trades with the SEC. So in an SEC, filing baillie Gifford has disclosed that their ownership stake in. Tesla has dropped below five percent of the company. I would assume the selling has been happening for. As has been dramatically rising, of course. So for firms that already had a significant portion of their portfolios in Tesla, it just becomes too overweight and they end up trimming it back to add more diversification to their portfolio. See the same sort of stuff from our best Baillie differed managing partner James Anderson said quote. The substantial increase in share price means that we needed to reduce our holding in order to reflect concentration guidelines which restrict the weight of a single stock in clans portfolios. However, we intend to remain significant shareholders for many years. Ahead, we remain very optimistic. About the future of the company, Tesla no longer faces any difficulty in raising capital at scale from outside sources, but should there be serious setbacks and share price. We would welcome the opportunity to once again increase our shareholding. We are privileged to have been decimals largest external shareholder over a period for the development of the company. We are mentally grateful for the extraordinary efforts and achievements of Tesla and driving forward a transportation and energy revolution in the face of persistent skepticism and often downright hostility without tussles efforts. The possibility of hurting climate disaster would have been significantly reduced and. So pretty strong statement there from Anderson I think safe to say that Baillie Gifford is not reducing their position Tesla due to any perceived weakness in the company rather just their funds management structure. In other news on the SOX Today Bank of America analyst Jon Murphy has increased his price target from three hundred, fifty dollars per share to five hundred and fifty dollars per share I believe that the second highest now on the street in terms of a base case Murphy noted the strength into the underlying business that the high stock price affords. Tesla. Saying that it creates A. Positive feedback loop due to the low cost of capital that Tesla has available to it. Through follow on offerings I would definitely agree with that positive feedback loop that helps Tesla not only raise capital, but it should help them get better terms on debt perceived strength of the business by the market can help desolate negotiations with suppliers. Again, especially, help confidence in customers Tesla's can exist going. Forward to service their vehicles, if they do decide to purchase and hey, it's probably helped a lot of investors be able to afford the product, which is also not a bad thing i. think the downside is that with a high stock price, there's potentially less upside available. So it can be a little bit more difficult to acquire talented recruit talent because you don't really have that one. Hundred X upside in the stock anymore like you might add twenty billion or thirty billion. There are offsets to that too though of course, some of that reduced upside comes alongside reduced risk, which is also important in making career decisions anyway back to the Bank of America note, despite the two hundred dollar price target increased to five fifty Murphy does maintain a neutral rating on the stock. Last thing today's quick update on a musk being in Germany. As we said earlier this week he's there for Giga Berlin meetings as well as with cure vac and Bloomberg has shared a couple updates from those Giga Berlin meetings according to Bloomberg. Meyer who is the German? Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy told musk quote. We are very proud of your car plant and Brandenburg and we wish you good luck with that. You'll have every assistance you need and. Bloomberg also notes that construction thus far has progressed relatively smoothly I think we're all pretty aware of that and they write quote a summer twenty, twenty, one production start is still the goal Brandenburg's premier Dima Vodka said in an email statement and.

"Up forty almost forty seven dollars a barrel today which makes no sense it makes no sense well we are gonna bring someone on to make some sense for I hope so Caleb silver joins us now editor in chief of Investopedia from New York Caleb what does it mean when oil prices go negative well no pressure I just have to accept that this was all let me tell you what happened and this is really yesterday oil is priced out in the future it's computer contracts so you're always buying oil oil investor trader for a future project I'm a contractor G. contact the July contract when you're buying it for the future depending on the future price yesterday or today will relate a livery expired anybody that there had promised to buy oil delivered to J. added but had to care for and there was all this excess oil and there was no buyers for no place to put it so there's too much supply on the market and no demand so the contracted that ended Tuesday the may contract went negative no demand no place to put it they're basically paying you to take it away if you have to have to put it you sold today that may contract you have done very well but it was it had everything to do with the contract you do not have or was worth no money at all I think her love but that's why we saw negative crises yesterday and I called to check up but that big bounce you know it's at night still nine dollars a barrel is a ridiculously low price for oil picture historically low price for a while but you have to look out and demand for months so nine dollars oil for may make sense there's no demand for it in June we were looking at twenty two dollars this morning now down about eighteen or seventy dollars because investors are saying economy is not going to bounce back that path that will lead to much oil in June the demand won't be that strong so we're gonna drive the price down if you look out to July that contract is up around twenty eight dollars debt fell to about twenty five days the demand is still not they don't see it as being not robots going out in the future and that's why you see these price drops because there's doubts about the strength of the economy once we get through the health questions here but it will be stronger you need that much oil where that demand will you'll justify the price what does this mean for us at the gas station gas prices should be very too bad California they're not you have different rules around gas prices around the country they are unbelievably cheap record average I think the average is somewhere around three dollars the problem is nobody's driving so not only are we not filling up our cars because we're not going to work going to the baseball game going wherever there's not the trucking and shipping and everything else that uses fossil fuels airplanes that demand is way down so the price of gasoline will remain low it's just that consumers can take advantage of it right now so that's on the consumer end of it on the production end of it everybody kind of realizes there's a need to produce less oil because of this but it doesn't seem like anybody wants to cut back nope you produce less oil and the oil dry all the big driver of the economy it's only about two percent of U. S. GDP but employs the oil energy sector employs some six seven million people so they only lose their jobs oil companies need the price to be at a certain level of around thirty Bucks a barrel it makes sense for them to drill new wells on production at all he on the price of oil under solvency of some of these companies and their debt is all hinged on the price of oil your ability to retain employees depends on the price of oil and all the banks and financial institutions I don't loan money to the oil and energy sector they're they're tied into this world coverage chief supply chain multiplier so when will prices go down it affects the entire economy now but but this is it is there a situation where oil will perform differently than the economy I mean because right now it sounds like we're you know oil prices are are gutted because the economy itself has been gutted but is there a way for it to sort of a detached itself from the rest of the economy well unfortunately not because it jacks a lot of countries are you know our petrol nations they use their credit cards into oil and oil and the big internationally traded commodities so that it's very hard to separate it from that and it is a sign of demand as I said it in the future based on future demand so the future demand doesn't look well but it's hard to separate it from the economy right now.

"The market's doing well not as much as I may look down three point two percent on bitcoin. Right now we're that much you know. It's not a disaster we haven't seen Things get really dicey yet What am I kidding? My eyes out for well. I'm just watching this right now. On the daily estimates the most important most important trend out there at the minute. It's some. It's quite interesting because you know we. We do have a little of the low high around that ten ten thousand three hundred region but this one coming off ten thousand now the one that we should've said the last couple of days today. Sorry Lost Twenty four thousand twenty four before so you can call it forty eight. It's it's it's more significant to me it. It's not just one candle is pretty moved back up there. It's also tested ten thousand. It's a it's it's a significant level Bitcoin there's a lot going on around. This region does feel very much like a tug of war which everyday between buys and cells. But it's it's very interesting to see Simply because you know if we don't say it hall and we we push on and then today's Canada of that being ninety. Five hundred on the nose If the low of that Kennel becomes I hire low and we breakup through that loss. Two Thousand Ten thousand three hundred. Then we are in tiptop shape we will be looking super super duper but if we don't if we don't break up through that region and will eat break down instead of new law which means trading below ninety three hundred. Then what have we got? We've got a daily downtrend and not. That's a bad thing for the long term view of Bitcoin. Because on the weekly I'm talking about getting back into Hunters is out of the out of the question at all so we still got you know. I eight hundred dollars to go for that. But it just delays that fo the upside. I'd love to see momentum continuously upside simply because we have seen a little bit more than we have seen more market participants dromey have seem mainstream media pickup bitcoin again. What was above ten thousand? It'd be really nice to Cape those punches as combinations going to one to one to rather than a you know list ring. Ding will sit in the corner for of the wall and white for that. Move to to come up guy so it's a really interesting point to be in. The markets trading was on not really looking that much minute if anything a march if it was to set up and there's nothing that's really really close to fitting everything that I want to say but if I was to take try it would more than likely be a small trade shaw if I if I was to be convinced by the shots. There was something so dramatically. Good that fits my rules. There was a standout at target. That's the sort of thing I'll be looking at the Taika saw from that. Not a great deal of interest right now so we're all well ninety six fifty three on Bitcoin. Death three point one nine percent if they're him it's actually not full percents Hang in there. The manager stain that the trade that I took a couple of weeks back by but about one dollars so still with that still long and If I get stopped at all it's for very good profit. Some not too concerned about that but rather stay of course to sixty four forty seven down four percent on Alexa pay will is getting close to break into a lower than bitcoin. We gotta get down through twenty six cents for that to occur right now sitting at twenty six non down five point four percent. Bitcoin cash had a pretty serious self at seven percent. Dour three forty seven dollars. Ninety five cents bs down six point seven six percent at two hundred and seventy six and sixty six cents pre sideways. Bitcoin has been for quite some time now. Lot coin still a long long way to go for lot. Coin to look bearish to be fair on that deadly. I'm talking about a low high. So a high low of sixty six tonight cents and with currently seventy five seventeen to a long way to go for that to turn into a down trend on the daily side looking pretty strong at seventy five seventeen down six percent. Today

Y. F. F. on how this is all working thought I was going to have to go get a job making seven dollars an hour Jackson does now does it have the typical job for a little ridge high school sophomore he makes his money using the program turning robo calls into cash Jackson paid forty seven dollars for the kit my made a little over twenty thousand dollars since the end of March of this year twenty thousand dollars in eight months and get a PDF document explains everything to do with the kids creator says it's easy first thing is you got to actually take the calls you'll ask questions and then you'll gather the company's information we send what's called a pre litigation demand letter Jackson is that twenty five letters twenty four let the settlements the settlements include a nondisclosure so Jackson can't name the company is so I love the kids all over the sky is he's probably a lawyer who created the kids and because you suck or pre litigation matters they just want this to go away they don't wanted to get up that they're violating the do not call lists twenty grand what to go out and buy Katie buys US of a college education hate BMW hang the yeah but if you actually do the numbers yeah he's making a little less than men who really I mean it sounds like you hear twenty thousand dollars like all that great for that kid and it turns out if you actually just sort of like look at a minimum wage job he's making slightly less than wait did you compute you actually saw how much time it towards you all as well course I did yeah okay that's my I mean it makes some sense I mean what a celibate gay I think it's great yeah if he's actually spending like one hour a day doing this awesome but the fact is he coulda made at a minimum wage job you're gonna be the same thing and not had to listen to robo calls all day I'll take the alternate is getting revenge Mike it's it's Florida the other side of this is it actually ended in settlements I don't think it's closing the company's down where the robo calls originated at all but no maybes leases slow them down for a little bit so he's doing this settlements are tax free you don't get taxed a legal settlements yeah but you should also be making people happy by delivering pizzas what's that listen to the show for him out it's there is a whole backstory on that one of my proudest moments in the world was when we were getting spam that are out more of my first businesses and there was this thing called the real time blackhole lists and man they hated spammers if reported they would can I'm and they had all sorts of power to block them it was a company that sold computer catalogs with this computer equipment but the spam you these catalogs and I got in touch with the chief marketing officer and said listen I'm disclosed to clicking send to the realtime blackhole list you'll disappear your emails are not going to be seen one of my proudest moments as of a copy of the check is I got five hundred box from the guy to not have it then I had to make sure this is a black male so I we we created a fee for having read his emails so center contract every future emails they're in closer there likely be a flag by the realtime blackhole lists consider this now a.

I have to pick myself every morning not only that I get to do this as a as a profession but also just seeing you know that every single day the best part of my job is seeing those testimonials come through seeing those success stories from subscribers just you know the folks who are our group maybe had been newlyweds who didn't think they could afford a honeymoon but then you know four hundred dollar flights to Rome popped up yes we can actually afford that you know we thought we had to pay fifteen hundred dollars right and we can get there for four hundred dollars a piece or you know folks you're visiting family let's say in in you know in other countries who hadn't seen them for a decade and now all of a sudden can afford to do it because the flight flight search a third of what they expected to pay those are the stories that really kind of get me a jazzed up excited about this work I get to do yeah for sure okay so tell us some of those testimonials where are some of the most memorable stories coming out of maybe some here on the west coast that have been traveling around the world for say two three hundred Bucks yeah absolutely so there you know list a few of the pulled up a couple of the best deals that I found out that we found recently and sent out out of like Seattle and Vancouver there. Seattle over to Hawaii for two hundred forty seven dollars nonstop round trip got all over Hawaiian island three hundred sixty nine dollars round trip to Beijing one of my favorite deals was early this year flight from Seattle down to New Zealand for three hundred ninety dollars round trip okay minutes had I'm gonna stop you right there and the reason why I'm saying this is because I'm flying to New Zealand in December and I am flying in the middle of December December twelfth to be exact and I paid a couple grand for my ticket the reason is because I had a plan I'm going on a cruise and I'm going down in New Zealand and Australia itself so to hear someone paid three hundred dollars to New Zealand. my my. might make my breakfast come back up I'm just saying that right now. but continue but continue Scott this is why we're bringing you this is this is America. those one of those one of those mistake fares that was not around I think I was around for about twelve hours we had not not only you know thousands of people on the email list get in we had numerous team members I mean on from ponds got you fight who who booked at the went on to New Zealand as well we had one from Vancouver over to to Dublin Ireland for two hundred forty three Bucks round trip so you know it's been there are some incredible incredible fares that have been popping up I tell folks we actually eat we might not you might not know it. right now today is the golden age of cheap flights rally international flights has never been cheaper in the history of travel as they are today you know Justin for inflation and everything and but the thing is that you know you have to be a little bit patient yeah be a little bit flexible it's not that every time you search is going to be the cheapest possible but there are regularly regularly every couple weeks four hundred dollar round trip flight from Seattle over to Europe you know three hundred fifty dollars flights from Seattle over to China or or you know four to fifty dog fight over to Southeast Asia popping up regularly and so it D.. super fortunate to be living in this time but it it but again it's just a matter of making sure you only you hold out if to whatever extent possible for when those really good deal pop up rather than trying to rather than booking too early or too late and and and ended up paying more right so if you're a planner if you're a player this is a tough one this is a tough pill to swallow but certainly the reward is huge that's for sure we're gonna hear more from Scott coming up after this short break here and adventures await but we have been talking about Scott cheapflights dot com and we'll chat more with Scott the namesake of Scott's cheap flights coming up after this short break so stay close. what are your status updates say what every ounce of your being help update the status of a person and in turn they did the same for you life is calling how far will you go to school interactive Peace Corps dot com slash game. traumatic brain injury of six many of our.

In fact, India accounts for nearly thirteen percent of the world's production. Prime minister Narendra Modi has promised to create more jobs in that industry with the manufacturing initiative called make an India and a goal of increasing exports over the next five years by more than three billion dollars. The government wants to punish this industry because it's largely done by Muslims. Leather is a culturally complicated issue in India, especially under the current Hindu, nationalist government. Hey, what phone should I buy? And this follow it up by in. Why do I have to spend a thousand dollars? Once I've made a decision. Good news. Talking tech listeners if you'd like to save money, and you want to go name brand, I can get you a great apple or Samsung phone for two hundred fifty to four hundred dollars, which is a lot less than the thousand dollars at the top of the line. Ones are now selling for if not more I'm Jefferson Graham with USA today. You're listening to talking tech the apple iphone S E which apple discontinued in two thousand eighteen is currently available as a close out for two hundred and fifty dollars on Apple's website. This ca. Impairs the seven hundred fifty dollars for the lowest price new iphone, the ten are or four hundred forty nine dollars for the iphone seven a phone that was first released in two thousand sixteen the S E is a great great deal. I urge you to take a look for it. The the pros is this price. The con is a four in screen, which is a lot smaller than the current editions. Can you live with that the Samsung galaxy S eight is a larger more advanced phone it's from twenty seventeen it's two generations back it selling for five hundred dollars new on Samsung's website. I found out an Amazon for just over four hundred dollars in on EBay from various sellers as low as three hundred and forty seven dollars. Why by an older phone start with saving money, perhaps? You don't care about the latest bells and whistles, and you just wanna basic device to make calls send and receive texts and emails and surf the internet. Well, with the SEC as I said, you could the smaller screen. Four inches compared to six point one inches on the ten are and older technology. You won't be able to get or may not even care about features like face ID the ability to make videos with four K resolution, and the processing chip is an eight nine compared to the more powerful current eight wealth, I can tell you. My wife has an SE and she has not had any power issues. Apple's unlikely to ever sell a phone this cheaply again. So if you want a good reliable iphone at a low price, this one is for you. If you do want that larger galaxy the difference between a model from two years ago in the current S ten will you get sixty four gigabytes of storage compared to one hundred and twenty eight on the new model Samsung says the S ten performs better for low light photos and has a slightly larger screen six point one inches to the older five point eight inches. So so the differences in these two models are very slight the S ten sells for nine hundred dollars while the larger edition, the S ten plus sells for a thousand dollars. Now, if you're willing to accept the refir- model, and you should as they come with a full one year warranty at new battery apple has a variety of prices listed on his website for the seven and seven plus models, which are larger than the SE the best deal. I saw touted was four hundred and sixty nine dollars for seven plus with one hundred twenty. Fed Leaves Rates Unchanged For Now, But Market Sees Another Rate Hike Next Month
"And sell into Chinese markets, Latin American markets European markets Asian markets except Tra and to see the drop in oil is a little bit unnerving to investors as they wonder is this really the strength of the global economy. And of course, if you look at the charts of the global economy, the emerging markets continue in a down trend you look at V W O, which is the vanguard emerging market ETF one of the largest ETF's out there on the emerging markets, if not the largest it was fifty dollars a share and in late January and now it's at forty dollars. Per-share? So you've got a drop of twenty percent now on the emerging markets, which puts them into official bear market territory. The pulled plugged on the emerging markets in March of this year. And they are down considerably since. Then that's why it pays to listen to the best stocks now radio. Our it pays to get the best stocks now newsletter and it pays to get the best stocks now app. You would not have any exposure to the emerging markets at the current time. You would have been out of them way way way before the big spill that has taken places, and then you look at the developed international markets, which are more of the mature world markets Europe. For instance, they're not doing so hot either they've gone from forty seven dollars per share. I'm looking at an ETF your vanguard ETF on the developed markets down to forty so seven divided by forty seven. What's that about twelve percent sell off in the developed markets? So just looking around the globe definitely worries of global growth. Now, it would really help. Obviously in a little less than two weeks. When President Trump meets with president Xi of China to get this trade war out of the way, it's definitely impacting the global markets. So you got oil prices down. You've got the global markets kind of in trouble here. And you've got the fed that remains an a very a very hawkish mood despite what's going on in the rest of the world. And I think that's why we're having a freaky Friday here. So far today. It doesn't help either that there is a little bit of inflation wafting through the air this morning. The core. PPI that's the producer price index. Not the consumer price index, but the CPI came in just a little hotter than expected came in at zero point six that's probably material costs rising a bit here over the last month while the core PPI was expected to come in at zero point five, and that's not going to dissuade the fed from another rate hike in December the one of their mandates, obviously is to keep inflation under control. And even though there doesn't seem to be any inflation out there that we can find other than maybe at the supermarket. The fed continues to be on a course of tightening monetary tightening. Well, china. It's a good excuses. Any for big red today? Shares in Shanghai fell one point four percent overnight. Beijing is reportedly planning for quotas on Brank credit formation week car sales figures and the continuing reverberation from C trips poor quarterly results. Okay. Who's seat trip? Well, that's kind of the price line. That's the big tourist booking website in China. It c- trip trip had very poor quarterly results. That's an indication that the Chinese consumer the Chinese traveller the Chinese vacation or not doing so

"You. Translation price. Maybe. Let's switch Batak you know, maybe when you started and I started around the same time intact. There was no internet at the time was just coming out right? Like newsgroups now it's everywhere. So you know if you were to sort of look ahead and say what consumer trends might be out there, what are you seeing? What are you here? Like think it can be over stated or over-dramatize, but the machine learning stuff is just so important. I mean, even when I left Twitter, it was really starting to impact our ability to deliver the right kinds of things to people. It's powering half of Twitter moments which is instead of having to craft your own time timeline, which takes a lot of time and effort, and going and finding all the accounts to follow moments, just kind of uses human curation and machine learning to deliver the right kind of stuff to you. All that is going to be fascinating and important and have really profound implications for. Lots and lots and lots of domains. I mean healthcare, we're gonna look back ten years from now and go, oh my God. We let human schooled only seen four cases of this decide what to do next instead of running it through. You know, here are the symptoms and evaluate any against terabytes of historical data. That was stupid. You know, how'd you guys? How do people live? You know, we'll think about it that way. And I think that's going to be like wild and amazing. Have lots of cool implications and ethical implications. You know that alpha go machine beat the world. Go champion. Lycee doll moved thirty seven in the second game alpha. Go made this move that all the expert commentators were like, oh, at screwed up. It made a mistake. Look at made this stupid random move. That's obviously a mistake on surprise. Surprise. It turned out to be this genius, beautiful move and won the game. And I remember the eagles quarterback eagles quarterback. But you know, it's one of those. They're going to be lots of cases of in specific domains of. It. Did this thing human would never do when there will be lots of machine learning examples of, well, the machine thinks we should do act and the people think we should do why, but the machines will prove to be right more often than not. So I think that's going to be fascinating and lots of interesting implications there for tech call. Now you're not Twitter, you know, you obviously learned a tremendous amount there. And in my role here, I always try to figure out what makes a great CEO does a board member you look at CEO's. Everyone is different. Have extroverts introverts technical, not technical inside out upside down this that and the other summer great summer, not great, and some rate, lots are not great. Lots, lots, lots on your mind makes like the great CEO's man. I could talk about this for hours, so I'll try to summarize one. They're super resilient. Look, as I've said already a couple of times things inevitably go wrong, like they just do some things happen. You know, you make stupid decisions. You like God. Why did I? You know, in hindsight, you're like, oh, it was such a stupid decision. Great. CEO's are resilient. I always told the team and the Pixar president Ed catonsville says, this is well in his great book, creativity Inc. It's none of your job as a leader to prevent mistakes from happening. It's your job as leader to correct mistakes as quickly as you can when they happened. If you try to lead by preventing mistakes from happening, nobody's going to frigging take any chances and the company will slow down to a crawl because everyone's going to go. I don't want to get in trouble for, you know, that might something might go wrong if we do that and everyone's gonna start going around and asking for permission and then nothing gets done. So it always tell my managers like, don't try to prevent mistakes from happening, correct mistakes when they happen. And always tried to make sure that I admitted to the team when I screwed something up like, hey, last time we did this real argh. It took too long when remarks take long time. People start jockeying for position and being really political, totally screwed that up caused a bunch of brain damage for everybody. Sorry. So people knew it was okay to make mistakes. I'll tell you a great resilience stories, a specific one. So we're doing our peo- for Twitter in November twenty thirteen. And it took us like seven years to get to sixteen dollars share. And then it took us two weeks to get to twenty six dollars a share, and then a day to get to forty, seven dollars a share. The company didn't get five times better in the last two weeks than it did in the first seven years. So just remember, we now have a stock that will go up and down. Never had that before. So you know, and you try to prepare the team for that and just get them to be resilient to behalf to keep sort of reminding onto that stuff as bad news comes in or tried to always tell them, like, you know, we're not as good as we are when people think everything's going great, and we're not going to be as bad as. Things seem when people start running bad articles about us. What was it like to lead Twitter? Let's say through movements like the Arab spring or the natural disaster. The Sonam, even Japan. What did you remember there? Yup. And there's news right all comes to you guys. So I'm having my Monday morning staff meeting one day and Kelly. My chief of staff walks in. She's like, whispering phone call for you. I'm like, I'm in the middle of my Monday morning staff, meaning because she goes, it's a White House, you know? And I was like, what do they call me for? What did I do? And so there was this weird, you know, time period where a bunch of us out here had to start to realize, wow, we're like in the thick of these international discourse and political conversations and Egypt. You know, during the air spring, we sort of started in Tunisia with people organizing protests on Twitter, and they were able to organize protests on Twitter because they were writing under pseudonyms and not, you know their actual name. So people weren't able to come over their house and arrest them. Men then spread across North Africa, and then Egypt shut. Down. And we worked with Google to be able to allow people to use Twitter over the phone networks and through sort of various proxy servers, they set up, etc. Those amazing to go from being like, you know, computer science guy, leading a tech company too involved in these conversations in the White House. And when the White House calls just curious like, what are they remember? Like what was Valerie Jarrett? And she's like, look, the president wants to have a conversation about a bunch of stuff related to, you know, the way these platforms are being used and how they're being used. So bunch of tech CEO's go to the White House and we're sitting in the Roosevelt room and President. Obama comes in, we all sit down and unfortunately he asked me the first question. So I'm like, so like I stupidly, I stupidly all do answer the question. And then he says, you know to someone who I don't name now, so. And so what do you think about that? And the goes, first of all, Mr President, I wanna I think I'm sure I speak for all of us wanna wanna. Thank you for inviting us here today. And I'm like, fuck. And so you know. And so while they're in the middle of that, I go wait and everyone in the room stops and looks at me and go. And I go, I meant to say that. Anyway. So. Good thing. Brian Roberts have Comcast. You hit me. He's like, you're into trouble. It must be so interesting. All of a sudden you're in the middle of GOP. Background then, and you know, like you're a platform for facilitating communication and like everyone expects you to have all the answers like, hey, what's going on in Tunisia? Like. Inside in front of me running this platform, really interesting. There were all sorts of moments like that at one point. So there was some things going on. And if I remember correctly in Turkey, it was that people were tweeting sort of blasphemous things about Ataturk the founder of the country and in Pakistan. There were tweeting some things that were sort of, you know, against the speech restrictions and Pakistan, and we got a fax from Pakistan and someone came into my office, the head of trust and safety came into my office like, hey, we have a fax from the stone. So department, Pakistan. It's like we have a fax machine. It was like, where is it? And you know, you could still get those. You know, how do we know it's from Pakistan? You know, just so we and they're like, how do we? What do we do? We fax them back. What do we do? I mean, so it's like you're trying to find people in the country to deal with about this communications issue, but you're like, you don't have anyone on the ground in Pakistan. It's just like you're, you know, you're fumbling around trying to figure out how to do that as a result of that. Was there a whole group inside at Twitter eventually that was sort of government interaction and put together a government group. We had a team in DC that's trying to learn everything about how Washington works. How do you fax Pakistan when they fax you. Dealing with things like you know, everything from that to on boarding global leaders, right? You know, Mody and in India on the platform and prime minister, obey
