Brady this morning. They're g the mic. Drop their second and talk a little bit about football as we hear you back album. Yes yes yes thinking about. Tom brady right so tom. Brady's already over two thousand passing yards and they've played six games so they're a little bit more than one third into the season as we have a seventeen game season now there have been about twelve guys that have gone over five thousand yards in a season and for me and for my money. The greatest single quarterback i believe has ever had was the dan marino season nineteen eighty-four where he did throw for over five thousand yards and forty eight touchdowns and played an incompletely different type of defensive situation where there was holding and grabbing and all sorts of stuff and not all the calls were made like there are today where quarterbacks get second and third chances on defensive holding illegal contact and of course on passing appearance so to me that that season stands alone as greatest season that a quarterback ever had in my eyes. Because i wanted to replace. But now. Tom brady's already over two thousand yards and tom brady already throw for an over. Five thousand yards in a season. Back in two thousand and eleven. So he's on pace right now to throw for fifty eight hundred and forty eight yards. Oh yeah with the extra game. Yeah with the extra. I know that. So but the point being do you think you can get the six thousand yards. I know you've been talking about this all year waiting to see a quarterback it no. I don't think he's going to do it. I think there's gonna be a weaken. Their where he ends up. Only having like i mean he's gonna have to average three hundred fifty yards plus a game i think right so we have matthew. I'm gonna give you the guys that are already over. Eighteen hundred yards at this point. And they're all averaging over three hundred yards per game. At this point and it starts with dak prescott matthew stafford patrick mahomes derek carr and then tom brady so all of those guys right now are all over. Eighteen hundred passing yards. They've all played six games. And they're all averaging over three hundred yards per game pass with tom. Brady averaging three hundred forty four yards per game passing. So you're telling me you think someone's going to get to six thousand yards. I think i gotta figure that. Patrick mahomes be playing behind a lot. This she yeah. Defense is tarrant established shot and because their team the other three and three. They got right against washington. They're going to be in a dogfight in that division with the chargers and the raiders. There he's going to have to play all seventeen games i believe. And he's gonna end up having to throw for over three hundred yards every single game in order to win but yes. You could have some weather issues in kansas city for sure. True is the season gets but he doesn't seem to be too affected by that he hasn't been at least yet right. Offensive line is great but yeah he's probably the guy's got the best chance of doing it. I think tom brady's gonna have one of those games. Where it's like you know he'll still win but only throw for one hundred ninety five yards. Then it'll kill his chance against the six thousand season. Yeah well anyway. It'd be interesting to say but it will eventually happen somewhere along. The line is going to happen. Lot of terrible games on paper this week. I know that you know and last night's game on paper was a terrible game but last night's game turned out to be a very competitive game. It was a competitive game. But the point scored. I mean i guess it was cute that the the guy who was Came off the fishing boat at a great game and everything's a storyline. Whatever call that cute. Yeah whatever as a cute little story. Yeah but you know it's really running back in the. Nfl was not a cute little story. It's a cute little story. Kidd stepped up man that was supposedly a decent defense. Yeah so so good for them. I mean that's that's really this. No no impact game bob by the way. That's a team that the giants lost two week. One the denver broncos. I don't know they're three and four. I mean there's you go through a litany just bad football games. Now you take the jets and giants out of it. There's still bad. I mean atlanta miami. Who far so the the really. The two games of interest are cincinnati baltimore. Which is the best game out sleet. And that's one o'clock on cbs. In in your market. And i would probably say kansas city tennessee. And that's really it outside of that. You have john norma spreads so. There's no buzz this this weekend and the nfl is essentially novas week. As the cool games we can gio mentioned those two. The only cool games on the schedule for us locally. You're not interested in the panthers in giants those peaking game peak game. Yeah pecan or barely on the red zone. I mean that's another atlanta miami. You'll never see on the red zone about indianapolis san francisco sunday night game. Yeah that's a make me care spot. What does that make me care. Spot care spotty. Call it. i'll just what you said you know like. Give me a. Give me a reason care about that. Because i don't have one right now all right. That's that's what that is. Yeah i mean some of these big spreads and i put one of them on our picks today just because it's fun to pay attention. He's china spreads. I wonder if the inside insider feels about that one. No it's actually the other one. I didn't put the one on the because we know what the insider feels about the big one. Okay we know what the insider feels about. Houston arizona right. The one i put on the picks is detroit. La that's the one. I put in a picks at insider told me yesterday that he's feeling A. in a big way there to all. Oh yeah the insider feels. Yeah and that's the that's the lean of the week from the insider. One hundred percent lane both arizona and la man is a bad games. Yeah sorry about. Vegas is actively. Now's the vegas thing without jon gruden. They'll be more discussion about that. I don't know if you heard the. Cbs sports minute. But congress now has gotten involved in the six hundred fifty thousand emails from the nfl. Given the fact that congress gives them a Antitrust exemption they feel like they can get involved in this whole thing congress congress. Yeah get him involved with politics. So let's get the nfl bob so we can rip the crap out of the the nfl. Nothing else going on right so which well. There's a lot going on. We just got distract compete just to distract from. Actually what is going on. Because we don't want you to know about what's going on here. Let's go get the nfl involved. billy's in manchester. What's going on. Billy gordon guys. You what's happening.

"He shouldn't be calling the plays and when he was in kansas city he really didn't call the plays a minor stretch where he did but he really lets eric be enemies. Defers guy that andy. Reid has really been like here. You have a big say in the offense weekend weekend. i. I don't know that nagy other than maybe a week here week. They're really had that and by the way that year the she started five zero and barely made the playoffs and lost a marcus mariota at home and off game so it wasn't as all like their offense is incredible that season it started out wonderfully and then tanked brutally entire rest the year off air all fair. Let's move on Juju is coming up here in five minutes but let's talk about. mvp's right. Everybody's picking patrick mahomes. I'm assuming you're doing the same thing i am. Look you have to pick a quarterback. If you don't pick a quarterback you're just trying to be interesting. You're trying to be right. I think you you have to go that direction. So mojo's mahal's makes sense in this way. Rogers is great. Won the mvp lash. I don't think he's you begin right. It's just too hard to win back to back-back and it is a narrative award to some degree. I almost want josh. How but again. I think alan statistically regresses on little bit bakers interesting like a baker could be a guy or stafford. If they're great people are going to wanna go crazy over that but yeah it behind that offensive line home. Seems like the play here. Does you throw for like forty eight touchdowns and fifty three hundred yard. Engine the out of his mind. But yeah i'd have to be out of it. Gimme your quarterback. Mvp pursue probably is not going to happen but why not. Let's go right. I mean if you're going on. I would go way off the board gives you like a defensive player. We haven't had a defensive. Mvp since nineteen eighty six..

"I know i said that you know depending on patrick is coming off of you. Know that will determine whether or not you start the chiefs defense or not. But i still think fitzpatrick inappropr- points it's just you know could have some turnovers in this game because he's prone to do that. So moving onto the next match up the chiefs. Go to tennessee to take on the titans and usually when these two teams get together. It's a lot of fun. Afc championship game from a couple years ago and they also did play in the regular season. That was mahomes his first game back from injury when he missed a couple of games back in twenty nine that was and i do think this is a farewell match up for the chiefs. Titans defense is not that good. I think that the chiefs are going to put a lot of points. I do think look for other options if you have the chiefs defense because they tried to stop julio aj brown and derrick. Henry that's gonna be a problem. So i'm gonna say don't start their defense. That's an unfair will match but offensively. That's a very fair rematch of this is going to be a great game. They're gonna put up a lot of points in both of these teams. It's it's going to be a shootout and it's going to be a lot of fun to watch that game. So moving onto the next match-up week eight. The chiefs go up against the giants. The giants come to town. I think this is a favorable matchup here for the cheese. It's a home game. I think the giants secondary is really good. But i think it's just you know if it was if it was at metlife. Maybe a little bit different. But i think because it's at arrowhead. I think the chiefs will still do well there. It's going to be hard on the cover. Kelsey tyreek hill hardman I'm going to be curious to see how they're db's matchup against these weapons for the chiefs. I think they'll find success stopping the run though so the chiefs are just going to continue to throw it. And then on the other side you got the chiefs defense going up against the giants offense. I think as a potential to be a favorable matchup but depending on how daniel jones is playing during the season. So that's my thoughts on that so moving onto week nine. Oh this game i am. This is one of the top games that i'm really excited for this year. You got the green bay packers coming to town. Four twenty five on fox. And i was robbed of this game a couple years ago because i went home. I came home from college for that weekend. And i wanted to watch that game from the comforts of comforts of my own home and unfortunately patrick mahomes was injured. So i had to see aaron rodgers. Take on matt more this year. I am hoping. I think that was weeknight. So this week nine again. You know this this time. I'm hoping that get aaron. Rodgers is patrick. Mahomes and i think this is a favorable match for the chiefs. Because i i just think that the packers they really can't stop the run. I think that you know now. The mahomes is playing in. Not matt moore. It's going to be problematic to try to stop travis kelsey anti retail. So i think she's going to be able to move the ball against the packers defense and then on the other side. I think it's an unfavorable match for the chiefs defense. I think aaron rodgers. He's a different do then. He was two years ago. A definitely you know in the second year in the system of matlock. Flora definitely showed that he was a different quarterback. I think you're one was kinda. Just there was some growing pains now. He knows this offense in and out and he's a different plyer. He's going to be as good as he was last year. I mean. I don't think he's gonna throw forty eight touchdowns but i do think he's going to have a really good season and be in the mvp conversation and he's got a lot of weapons on this team. So i think that you know because of that. I think you look for other options. If you have the chiefs defense that week but with when it comes to the chiefs offense going up against packers defense out his farewell match up. So that's my thoughts on that so moving onto week. Ten the chiefs go to vegas. Take on the raiders and both games against this team were very entertaining last year. The raiders obviously won the first match up the chiefs. Won the second match up in vegas on the mahomes to kelsey game winner which was one of my terrible moments of the year one of the worst moments of the year last year because i was up by thirty seven points i've talked about. I've talked about it on a couple of shows. But i was up thirty seven points going into that game and fantasy and my friend came all the way back and beat me. And the mahomes to kelsey touchdown was the dagger that may be lose that match. But i think it's a fair will match for the chiefs offense. Going up against the raiders. I don't i still don't think. The raiders defense. Is that good. And i just think the chiefs are still going to put up a lot of points so i think it's favorable cross the board. I think they'll be able to run the football. I think they'll be able to throw it now. The difference is going to be a crowd so we'll see how that plays into this game and then on the other side. I think you could probably go either way with it. But you know knowing that the raiders are at home and they've played better against the chiefs especially last year. I'm going to say maybe you look for other options that but that's just me So that's my thoughts on that game warming onto week. Eleven the dallas cowboys come to town. I think this is a very favorable matchup for the chiefs. The cowboys defense. I still think is going to be not that good. It's going to be better than what it was last year..

He got that with a seven hundred and fifty six receiving yards with eighty three receptions of wild scoring twenty one total touchdowns. Alice career highs which finished Top five in nfl in each of the categories manifested. A true breakout. He was not the mvp runner up for nothing. We get iraj either way going to be definitely getting that trophy for twenty four hour number nine. Mr t. j. watt outside linebacker for the pittsburgh steelers with a league leading fifteen sacks sixty one pressures y was probably the most disruptive guy in the league last year he literally out stat it aaron donald but he get defensive player year but still like when you can ask that out stat brother like that. That's impressive this guy staying at the same position as last year number eight last year. He's number eight a game because he is just that cold. The andre hopkinson receiver arizona cardinals. He repeats this because well tying a career. Best one hundred fifteen receptions. Twenty twenty hopkins gained one thousand four hundred seven yards to become the forty nine receiver in nfl history to surpass the ten thousand yard mark scoring only six thousand. Twenty may have prevented him from earning. You know four instead of all pro Season as well as moving up on this here rankings. But he was at the receiving end of one of the most remarkable plays in twenty twenty with the hail mary pass from calum murray in order to win the game. So that that that's enough. Brother unstoppable from fourteen. The number seven this man here is somebody that you may be surprised if you believe in all of him in hall of his amazingness or you feel like it's fair if you're a true analysts in knows what numbers look like but tom brady the goat himself. Mr seven rings. He earned the number one spot in the debut. The top one hundred list ten years ago and lands at number seven fresh off winning his seventh super bowl. I don't really know throughout tom. Brady stats if anything. We're limited for bothering you. Know he's is tom going to he retires. Would like it's gonna be retired in both stadiums. He's he's definitely going to be one of the most decorated africa. Be the michael jordan of football Yeah that's that's just what it is but above him is number six motor for fifty seven to number six the highest rank receiver on this list. And that is known other than green bay. Packers davante adams adams tops. The receivers listening easier eerie. Grab one hundred fifteen receptions for one thousand three hundred seventy four yards in eighteen touchdowns in only fourteen games. I'm leaving right there as anything. More i might. I don't know i'm a fan boy out 'cause that he has some ridiculous numbers up there above him though. The juvenile from eighteen number. Five is travis kills tight end of kansas city. We know he is remarkable player. You feared heart. His name for years now The wrong way but he said all time single season mark for tight ends with one thousand four hundred sixteen receiving yards in twenty twenty. So kudos to you are right now. The birthday made another history. Becoming a part of a party of believe about nine people The two thousand the two k. runner himself derek. Kim real the tennessee. Titans are eight yes. He's ten last year is number four because can't nobody stop him He ended with two thousand twenty seven rushing yards. Fifth highest of all time and seventeen rushing touchdown to win the nfl ap office player of the year. Here reach to k. mark with a phenomenal to fit yard game in week. Seventeen which was the third two hundred plus yard two touchdown game of his season in fit of his career. That brother is the biggest monsters. They're coming out of a backfield. Six three two hundred forty seven pounds. Woo be afraid. Defense is very afraid all right. Let's see what the top three looks like. All right moving up thirteen spots to number three is aaron rodgers. The mvp himself he has seventy point seven percent completion of his five hundred. Twenty six pass attempts for four thousand two hundred nine nine. Pass a passing yards in had forty eight touchdowns to his five interceptions that ratios ridiculous and as ultimately why one vp tattoo above him. Though number two aaron donald aaron donald was number three in is number two and that is because he is reaching the level of unstop even with injuries his unstop. The rams defensive tackle recorded thirteen point five sacks forty five pressures enforced. four fumbles during that Was his six consecutive first team all pro season the rams were second in the lead with fifty six sacks and finish with a league best two hundred eighty one point nine yards allowed in why because it is because it is donald has been voted among his peers as a top three player twice. Oh i'm sorry three because they confuse so with all that being said. I'm pretty sure you can guess now. Who is number one number. One has to go to none other than patrick. Mahomes quarterback of the kansas city chiefs are eight. He is the pinnacle of the top. One hundred on his skills number four rankings in In adds another that's where he debuted at number four but nine moved on up in two thousand twenty mahomes through four four thousand seven hundred and forty yards In thirty eight touchdowns in fifteen games going fourteen in one all a is here in three season as a starter. He's thirty eight eight regular season record. Six two playoff records and although he dated win. Mvp or super bowl this year. We know he's kept below. Be afraid be very afraid now. No that was a little longer. But that is i just wanted to leave due to fifty so hope you guys enjoyed it man. I hope you enjoyed the show today. This fine there's a lot of information and not a football is out. I tell you it's going to be even more entertaining. The rest of the season.

"His father was has been very sick during campus. Really bad timing. He went to visit him and his father recently died so he's gone for quite some time and the bears haven't been able to see him and i get i get it but it's just the way the business goes sucks. That had to be like this but the bears have a very interesting question at quarterback to at that corvette spot. So we'll see how they move that roster around and we'll see who they pick up because they cannot go into the season with four corners only four corners and something like seven or eight inside linebackers. So we'll see how that plays out. Eagles they cut travis full game. Who's a who's a fan favourite loss two years. The lions did some lines things. They cut their kickers. They cut tackled out. Crosby cup of kickers curling without a kicker on the roster. So we'll see how. Dan campbell is there in that whole ordeal out. Peyton barber was very surprised. Cut for the washington football team. I mean he showed some good flashes last year. I even liked him as a fantasy pickup middle season with the injuries that they're dealing with in the backfield for washington. I liked him. he was cut. That was surprising twenty freeman. It looks like his career is pretty much winding down coming to a close because the saints they cut him. Tv's murray will continue to be compares. Backup another one. Jacob holster the bills jacob hollister he was cut pretty surprising move But the production. Just wasn't there in the preseason. So now i'm going to get into my official. Nfo award predictions Do all all awards from. Mvp ear often support of the year offensive rookie defensive rookie of the year comeback. Part of the year end coach of the year. So why mvp miami. Pete is tough. I was going to take dak prescott as my real really hot take i had this penciled in like two weeks ago but then the shoulder injury the hard knocks really of explained. How little the cowboys know about this injury. And how unique is so. I'm not going to pick up the win. Mvp i got a great season. If that shoulder holds up these easily gonna win easily can win comeback for the year but that shoulder. Injury is a lot of skepticism for that. But josh allen. Josh is going to win the mvp. He's going to let it up just got paid a massive contract likely his last season with the offensive mastermind in often according to brian dabble so last season last. Run at it. because it's not confirmed or anything. I just think because he is a to get a head coaching job after this year. And i mean he he. He's shooting to get it in him. And josh allen relationship there they have such great chemistry that it's going to be A monumental season for him. Because i don't think you'll be back in buffalo to sephora digs connection. That relationship keeps getting stronger. The roster keeps improving and without a consistent running game he will still ended up. I mean if you look at aaron rodgers. mvp here yet. Forty three hundred yards. Josh allen had forty five hundred yards. Rogers had forty eight touchdowns josh allen at thirty seven five interceptions but from rogers to ten interceptions from allen. So the the the td ratios where rogers really pulled away but that race was tight. And i keep expecting alex to make jumps or josh allen to make jumps and keep improving. So i think he's gonna be very good and i would bet him to win..

"Would've been back. Luckily just to show you how hard that is to do. That's pretty it's pretty amazing. One other fun fact. I learned 'cause i was. I had to dig in the well. Because like aaron rodgers had such a surprising season to me in terms of fantasy productivity. He had only four more red zone attempts last year versus two thousand eighteen but he had nineteen more red zone touchdowns fishing operation way more efficient. I think that to me just point out. So why couldn't they potentially do that again. I mean to me that bodes well for having that prolific scoring offense once again and again as we all know basically all the pieces are players from last year. The offensive line will eventually get david buck. Dra back their star left tackle and when he's back they have a very very very formidable offensive line. Rogers adds a bit with his legs. He had one hundred and fifty rushing yards last year three rushing touchdowns time. But we're also talking about. Tom brady who i think. Had like twelve rushing yards last year. But we know erin be mobile showed that he came back remember. He had that knee injury that he played through. So if you look at aaron rodgers career. He's been remarkably durable if you go through his entire career. He's played at least fifteen games every season except for two different seasons and each time he broke his collarbone so he missed multiple games when he broke his collarbone one year. Which i think was two thousand thirteen. He did it in week. Nine and then two thousand seventeen. He played seven games. Broken collarbone remember came back for that one playoff that one game late in the season and then they lost so then he ducked out again but after that he had the knee injury and his mobility was really hampered and some of us including me wondered if he'd really get back and i think last year proved that he did so. We've talked about how. It's so essential for quarterbacks to have rushing value in fantasy with a couple of exceptions one of them being tom brady and the other being aaron rodgers and the reason why rogers can offset some of the rushing is that he is as precise with the football. Is any quarterback in the nfl. You talked about how he led the nfl touchdown passes and had the fewest interceptions with just five. You're not going to lose a lot of points from aaron rodgers and there's so much upside here's to find last year. He was dialed in thirteen games. With twenty plus fantasy points. That was the most amongst all quarterbacks in the nfl he had nine games. Twenty five fantasy points again tied for the most amongst all quarterbacks in the nfl across the board i am qb. Matthew qb seven. Daniel quarterback six and get people probably saying like you're talking so glowingly about him. Why would you not have him higher than quarterbacks. Seven or eight. Probably just hearkens back to patrick mahomes josh allen Definitely cuyler murray definitely lamar jackson. Back what are the government. They were at daycare on more than aaron rodgers. So if you walk away with. Aaron rodgers our quarterback again based off of adp he. He's one of my favorite targets based off where he is going right now and you look back at that. In view league high forty eight touchdown passes last year. It's almost double the number that he through the year before and the year before again. He was hindered because his mobility while he doesn't get a lot of yards on the ground for you. I think part of the reason that he is so prolific because he can move well enough to get himself into position to throw the ball exactly where he needs to get it. And i think that's why you saw such a difference between last year and the year before kyle ads that when i was asked about how many rushing yards brady has tom brady had more interceptions than rushing yards last year so for the first news career. Actually so yes. That's eight hundred four nine yards. Rogers may not sound like much. But when you're comparing him to. Tom brady. It is quite a bit. Aaron rogers issue with him. Let's get to aaron jones. The other aaron in this offense he was retained in a four year. Deal this off season. Last year he was before eighteen. Point five points per game. He scored nine touchdowns on the ground added. Two more as a receiver had forty seven catches. He loved the volume. I've got him in our nine. Matthew darby seven. Daniela rby eight. I love the player. Let's just start here like love him. Love aaron jones like the values. Fine by me. i totally get why. He's going at the beginning portion of the second round upgrade play. Let's let's start with a good. He's a great player. You go ahead and fill any of the details at all. Come in with the not a concern but just something that i have my eyes on this year. Well to me. The thing that stands out about him is in each of his four seasons in the league. He's average more than five yards per carry like he is a productive every time he touches the ball. And i know you know. There's no jamal williams now so it makes me wonder sort of. Does that bump up his opportunity to catch passes even more i know. Aj dylan is there And i think he does get a bump up as well. But i gotta believe that aaron jones was finally starting to be freed does it. Does this free him further. There's a chance and the old thing. I'm pulling this up right now from twenty twenty. The only thing that i have my eyes on in green bay with aaron jones is the possibility that aj dylan earned more work this year. And maybe that's offset so dylan just freight train remember. Aj dylan talk about in. Just a second. Who's into fantasy this year by the way we love to hear. Aj dylan doing this. Twenty two carries one hundred twenty nine yards in two touchdowns in a game last season in week. Sixteen that aaron jones also played in. This was not a game where aaron joel's out and he got an opportunity. I'm just hedging the tiniest bits which is why aaron jones isn't like rb five or six for me is opposed to rb eight. That's the reason. Why is the chance that jay. Dillon has a bigger role this year. We've all talked about him as a potential sleeper so love aaron jones. We talked about all the good factors.

"I a college football. I meant to say pro football. Although college football plan marshland they're all blending together. Trevor really just still kind of college you know what i think subliminally. That's why i said that. Because i knew we're gonna talk about trevor lawrence and i still think of him as as a college kid But he put on a little performance in a in a in a meaningless exhibition game But he did go eleven for twelve for a couple of touchdowns in one hundred plus yards. And it got me thinking about. How good can trevor lawrence beep. And i looked up guys the best rookie quarterback seasons in nfl history. You know this is subjective. obviously but you know. Take a guess at who is listed at least in in one particular as having had the best rookie quarterback. I guess it's not marino. I wanted to say marino He was he threw. Forty eight touchdown passes in his second year. I dunno. I dunno marino's on the list hop in the top. Is ben rob burger in two thousand fourteen. Twenty six hundred your sixty six percent. Completions thirteen starts seventeen touchdowns eleven to two thousand and four thousand four. He started thirteen games. Sixty six percent completion seventeen touchdowns eleven interceptions one hundred forty four rushing yards which shows you. That was a really long time ago. Dak prescott in two thousand sixteen started every game. Sixty eight percent of his passes thirty six hundred yards twenty three touchdowns four interceptions. That's damned tough to to keep up with two thousand sixteen russell wilson in two thousand twelve sixteen starts every game over three thousand yards. Twenty six ts ten interceptions and almost five hundred yards rushing cam newton in two thousand eleven. Remember cam newton burst on offense. Sixteenth starts four thousand yards twenty four touchdowns fourteen interceptions even then portending. What he was going to be. And seven hundred yards rushing and fourteen rushing touchdown so these this is a company that he is being compared to can. Trevor laurence do that in jacksonville given the rest of the team. It's not as likely if he hadn't and obviously volume self up in his team. But i would say it's unlikely he's going to be able to put up those kinds of numbers but but i think he's going to be the pearl among the swine you will you know i think he will. I hope he can stay healthy. Mitch i'd like to find out. I'll just say i think he can be very very good even on a bad team. But i don't want him to get joe burrowed. We're going to talk about joe borough in a couple of minutes but just offer the games that i had seen. Before last night we're did get some protection and get scrubs. It doesn't matter. He still completing passes he was still what eleven out of twelve last night and it. It's a question of how much is he gonna get. Beat up and then it's always a question of how much that scar tissue is to affect him going forward. And i think that the quarterbacks who have these big rookie seasons and but it's not. It's not unusual anymore. Look at patrick. Mahomes technically his rookie season with two thousand seventeen but he played he started one game he played one game he started. One game was the last game of the season. He did great but was last game of the season and that but that was his rookie year but two thousand eighteen which was essentially his rookie year. He started every game through for over. Five thousand yards had fifty touchdowns and twelve interceptions. He was twenty three. Trevor lawrence is pretty close to that right. Because he's he's stayed a long time. They're probably close to twenty two anyhow. But the thing is about those quarterbacks burst on the cuyler murray Guys like that. They move and they move around and their their heart. You know you can't you can't game plan against you haven't seen enough of them. There's not enough tape on them. You're not you're not sure what their tendencies are. And where they go and homes. You know what was fantastic. Because of the way that he moved around in the pocket not necessarily just as rushing yards. Although louis had plenty of those but but you you can catch. Him and murray was similar to that. That's not trevor lawrence trevor. Lawrence isn't going to beat anybody with his feet in the nfl. And so mike you're right it's like you know. Then you start to worry about him. Getting hurt his comparison to me from the beginning manning. He's he's too young. He's demanding facsimile. That's to me. And the peyton manning fact somebody. He'll be twenty two on october. Six twenty two. Yeah i'd have to buy take peyton went from three and thirteen to thirteen three ethic. I may. I may be running. And we all know the elephant in the room here because the numbers the statistical accumulation doesn't come anywhere close to any of these guys but in terms of achievement. The gold standard of wookey quarterbacks in our time is just two thousand and one. Tom brady you know so you know that. That's that's the standard. You look at this draft mitch. Okay so trevor lawrence keys the cover boy pitcher one zach. Wilson's going to be thrown into it with the new york jets to trae lance. Who does looks like may get thrown into it and then just fields down at the eleventh. Pick this was. We talked about this the other day. This is extraordinarily quarterback drop but because lawrence was what he was supposed to be from the first time we saw him as a freshman at clemson..

"We did it again. Live on youtube. So don't say anything might get. You don't get you in trouble all right. We were there people watching actually the people that are watching our the only people were actually able to tell people that are watching less because we get no numbers from serious so it's like could be one clube. Two million have no idea how many people listening on sirius. it's basically. Is anybody out. The we have no idea. So we appreciate you joining us here. peyton manning kicking you out of a film room is awesome him teach. Do walk through even better what you do on. Tv really cool. I think thai because how good you are on television ties said. I can't wait the day to ask. Dan orlovsky this question. I loved him. Who doesn't love dan. But dan i jordan love look pretty good the other night with the exception of the strip sack and getting dinged up a little bit but then on. Espn this morning. I see you know everyone's saying that. All of the packers are in trouble if he if he's not ready to go and that the packers also aren't really happy was his development right. Now what did you think after watching that game like i mean. Is this more of a project and a lot of people in anticipated. I thought i looked fantastic for being the first time he played live on six hundred three days who is a first time. He played live over six hundred days. And i thought he was lights out. That baldini throws the thurber down the third and acres awesome. I'd say the biggest difference that stood out to me from his college tape and watching that game. The other night was a rhythmic. He was you know he looked very rhythmic. And when i say that every everything seemed to be tied together you know. His drop was tied to the route concept. And that's rare for young quarterbacks for chicago isn't pleaded done because you always revert back before habits or habits that are part of your past music. Ruckle speeding things up or taking an extra h- h when you're not supposed to get you know hopping with the football and then your blink and then oppose placed. We're not supposed to be someone's breaking up. I thought was incredibly rhythmic. And that tells me that he's got a really good deal for what they're teaching him. Thought he threw the ball well especially in their play action game also so listen we and anybody that was thinking he wasn't a project was miss Informed and that's on them also. This was the plan. I truly believe. This was their two year. No seven hundred thirty day land for green bay when they drafted him just to continue to take the talent and try to you know. Build it into this scheme that quarterbacks always cropped up in his scheme always every quarterback has ever played in the system plays better than their talent actually is and i think if i'm green bay sitting there going after game one. I'm very very pleased with the way he looks. So aaron rodgers isn't as good as he looks. What do you mean you just said with a very broad. brush him. Ask every quarterback that plays in this scheme plays better than they actually are with a broad brush. She said every single one so whenever you say that. I can't help but think to myself us. Roger stinks makes him good as what you know. That's exactly what i said I think that kirk cousins goes from good quarterback. We had a really good season. Jimmy garoppolo goes from solid quarterback who good quarterback ryan. Tannehill goes from a bus to a top ten player. Baker mayfield goes from you. Stink to twenty touchdowns in nine hundred. Aaron rodgers at the age of i think errands thirty seven thirty eight. I think throws forty eight touchdowns in run away run. Mvp so what. i'm saying. Is it takes quarterbacks with where they are and it elevates them and he's gonna throw for a hundred touchdowns on a two year span so errands. That's not me saying is not remarkable. Dudes unbelievable forty eight touchdowns in his agents ridiculous really cool thing you did there was you said gray tabby back. You're on siriusxm channel. Eighty two the conversation with Dan orlovsky continues here as we wrap up beautiful. Our two on this tuesday august seventeenth. Two thousand twenty one. I think the fascinating thing that dan just did during the break and sirius xm listeners. I will bring you back up to speed real quickly. He talked about the scheme. being used. that jordan got a chance to execute after six hundred and three days of not playing football. And then he said the scheme actually makes quarterbacks look a lot better than they might actually be and then he rattled off a group of people to put into one bucket. Okay right he's kirk cousins. Whenever you got in this game became great. Great quarterback offset baker. Mayfield jordan lov g jimmy garoppolo and then obviously aaron rodgers. You know so. Dan i think i think i think it's fascinating to think that that's game just makes you better because i think all of those guys have kind of water has found level. Has they like jordan love. Then do you see jordan. Love potentially being a trade piece for one of those other offenses who created the offensive scheme that it is is that shanahan's thing is this who who who made this offense and made every quarterback successful. And what doesn't everybody do this. Well i think. It's mike gary kubiak scheme from thirty years ago. The difference between nowadays in that scheme is kyle matlock floor have brought new age Found foundational pieces of offensive philosophy meaning against space utilization of space and utilization of pre snap and that snap motion but still with the starting points of that run game married with that play action past bootlegging. Those are two different things as well. So those guys built it. They built kids and now those guys are constantly evolving. They're not resting on it. There's they're constantly evolving into modern day. Football do i think that jordan love could be intrigued piece. I said this last week people didn't i don't know if they didn't appreciate it but like i don't think what jordan love does this. Preseason has a tremendous amount of impact on what the packers plans are. next year. i think what aaron rodgers does end or chooses to do completely controls. What the packers do a quarterback next to you. I do believe. I thought i thought nothing happened other. Aaron wait now wait a minute Oh no you everyone. Aaron does control. What's going on in the future. If he wants to stay right did he not say that. He's going to leave that open. Well yeah contract but you said nothing happened. From the entire thing said was he did not get ideally wanted which was again corinth rewards.

"Hey d- statistically payton or drew brees would be up there. I wouldn't put them above. Aaron rodgers but i would have i would have definitely brady and then i have joe montana mclovin. I've heard good john elway argument before. I've heard good decent dan marino arguments. I feel like montana is not as secure as brady. Is the number one on that list there. So people think elway. We had a greater career in his own weird way because he had to be like the the the whole team in a way. I agree with that but he. He lost three super bowls that that was in any didn't play well at all is quarterback rating was under sixty. I think they won two that had to do with a great offensive line. Terrell davis then you get credit for those super bowls. I to me the best quarterback i ever saw. I just think he had everything he was. An athlete. had an elite arm He he improvised probably did more with less in teams going to the super bowl. They didn't have offensive players. Were all pro players. They had a good defense. But you know montana took advantage of what he had around him. Which is what you want. Great players to do he he. He was great with a great team. You know marino. It didn't get it. He got close. But to me of all the quarterbacks who played back then who would dominate. Now dan marino would be the guy like it would be it would be embarrassingly great. How like if you just put a little bit of talent around him in today's rules with his quick release marino would it'd be scary and it was scary back then we through forty eight touchdown passes because back then he's thrown duper clayton and they were deep threats nat more would be guy over the middle. Jim mandich i think was the tight end back then but you know it was pretty..

"He's going as the quarterback set and right now. I don't think the ceiling is the same as the russian guys josh. Allen lamar cuyler. I don't think the floor and ceiling is the same. As you guys like jack russell wilson and then you have the theoretical ceiling of the later round. Russian guys like jalen hurts. Trae lands justin field so i know justin herber was awesome last year. It's just really tough. Today's fantasy game to pay it off. When you're not a runner and i think we could see some regression from justin herbert as well other two guys. I'm fading. Aaron rodgers and tom brady is the same case i mean. They need outrageous efficiency. Aaron rodgers forty eight touchdown. Pass it on thousand twenty six attempts last year nine point one percent. td rate. I mean his career rate is six point three. He was at nine point. One percent last year. All time leader in touchdown raise. Patrick mahomes at six point. Eight and so rogers isn't gonna run his. Td rate's gonna regress just an easy pass for me on air rogers as his adp spike. Massively tom brady thing. He'd have to thir- forty touchdowns again to pay it off another easy pass for me. I'm looking for the ceiling. The rushing guys at the quarterback position this year. So i'm fading. Herbert rogers brady and i get where they're ranked. I get where people are taking them. It's just like a strategy thing for me on. These guys said a lot there. Any thoughts on that kind of mid range of quarterback and how you're thinking about quarterback this year just a rough listen on on justin herbert and not because you know i vehemently disagree with any of your points but because i just started to feel bad for the guy i mean he's out there draped in acne guys got pimples all over his body and like he's balling out of control. You know they didn't even want him to play anthony. Lynn wanted to keep them on the bench o. year. He's balling out of control. And now he's got to deal with your harsh criticisms. Yeah but i know. I mean your your points are all valid in in well-taken i just. I hope that justin herber does shoved down three. I warned the juke last year. That the zyban draftkings that judge justin. Herbert's i i like justin herber man. It's just from a strategy perspective. I think he's a pretty easy fade where he goes. He's he's can run a little bit. I mean yeah for more on fades check back in early september memory season. Don't start this year until pre much mid-september check back in very early. September for silva's fully thought out shy away list. That will be in the draft kit. If you don't have the draft kid yet. Thirty four ninety nine getting there comes with free. "This is why aaron so mad because it can't just be about drafting jordan. Love right like what is this about. And today he revealed well what we already knew and to that point i think it was a total cop out for him to blame the media because what he did was just a firm that nobody exaggerated any of the turmoil that was happening between him and the green bay packers so i thought that was a little bit of a low blow in what was otherwise very entertaining. Press conference june. Let me ask you this way. Hearing there's going to be a separation after the season you know. I don't want to say it this way but mom and dad are getting divorced in the year. How is this. Current year sustainable. It's probably not. I kind of think that this was the best case. Scenario given the turmoil of the circumstances aaron rodgers was able to lay out everything that he felt. It almost felt like a therapy session. Today him laying out everything they felt in confirming everything. We've heard in the media. It almost felt like a turning point in terms of football player empowerment and to a certain degree because he laid out. I mean there's only a handful of players in the sport who can do what he did today. It's tom brady. It's patrick mahomes. And it's aaron rodgers. He's a generational talent so he was able to lay out all the grievances. The hat the fact that he mentioned jake coomer. It's kind of a turning point moment. It means that this has been building up for really really long time. And this was just a combination of all bagging. Well do you make a good point about player empowerment. I think so. Far as there's a reason why. Aaron rodgers feels like he can sale of this which he is a hall of fame quarterback who has influenced organization and fields. And i believe he's right and feeling the way he wasn't treated as such that said he's still in green bay man like he wanted out reportedly well he is not he did not get out because the only leverage a player has is sitting out and he did not want to sit out the season and he is going to be a green bay packer this year. And you know what those fans better embrace what he's already done for them. I mean i have to underscored. Once again he just had arguably his best season ever. Seventy percent completion. Forty eight touchdowns all right. He's still performing and he's not going to underperform this year. Just because he's unhappy with his situation it's been he's going to me. Said winning solves everything with fans. And they'll i would. I would argue there. Airbnb prices really close to the heart here that they're dropping after what he said about vacation in bed. That might hurt a little bit. We'll move on as more teams report. Covert and attention between teams and vaccination becoming more seen first news lamar checks and had a positive test. So he's away from the ravens now but what you're seeing with teens to specifically tampa bay area's seems irritated that people are asking questions about whether the buccaneers were vaccinated and following notable and washington. Ron rivera passionate. He's frustrated he's concerned concern for his own safety about his team's lowest in the league. Back nation number tree for cancer..

It's racial thing especially in a sport like basketball where that that that's all. It's it's a hard one and i it. It also like magic. If you're kevin love and you hear that you're like are you kidding me. I'm giving up my summer here. I think like you said at the beginning. Like jalen has a point and what he's talking about israel. this is something made up fictitious. this is a bad example to use. But you you've been an mba front office. This tokenism still ugly. This is the heard line news. Good morning doug what upright happy little reunion. Always good to be with a plenty of great. Nba discussion there with you and a mean and we're going to do a little bit. Nfl here so pro. Football focus all week long in increments of ten have released their top fifty players in the nfl no positional value. Just strictly how they evaluate each player based off of how good they are so the top ten came out today. Number one was aaron donald. And then i'll save you the rest. We'll talk some quarterbacks here number two was patrick mahomes number. Seven was tom. Brady and number ten was aaron rodgers. This is on last year. It's a combination of how they performed last year and where they think they'll be in twenty twenty one. That's a horrible horrible list. Like look i understand. The intangibles of tom brady the guy just a way to win. And when he walks in that building in tampa where they haven't won anything since they really wanna super bowl right. I mean i get it but aaron rodgers was the best quarterback in the league last year. May the best offense and if you watch the game tom. Brady's opening drive was incredible. The last throw of the first half was remarkable. Part of it was. I don't know what the cornerback was doing. I don't know. I don't understand the defensive play call that said he threw three picks second half they. They won despite not because of him. Who really thinks tom brady is still the third the second best quarterback in the league. I'll give you a an and they're supposed to be a by the numbers and they're projecting. He's going to get better this year in his forties. This is a whole list of ass- erroneous on all accounts Wrote is this was their short description of brady. And then i will read you. Rogers the seven time super bowl champion did this in his first season with a completely new team a brand new offensive scheme for the first time in two decades with no preseason to work through the issues that would usually be present. Brady is still as good as any quarterback in the game the only question is how long can he keep defying time and aaron rodgers. Rogers would have been slipping down this lease list of season ago but perhaps motivated by the team. Drafting his successor. He not only went out and had the best season of his career. He put on one of the best single season performances. We've have ever seen. Rogers led the nfl. What they pf passing grade of ninety four point three. He came away with forty eight touchdowns along with the highest big time throw rate in the league with just five interceptions the second lowest turnover worthy playwright working. Okay so the only person who had a better turnover worthy playwright by their analysis. Was tom brady. So maybe that's why they ranked brady ahead of rogers had turnovers in the nfc championship again. I don't know like i get it. I i liked tom. Brady this whole thing and tom brady. By the way the the the whole thing in the offseason has been incredible making fun of himself for the four down thing. You know the golf match which is coming up. This weekend is awesome. Like all these like. There's no negatives. Tom brady getting hammered. I mean getting just you know what can at the victory parade is amazing. White boy wasted the victory parade and throwing the lombardi trophy is incredible but nobody actually thinks he's better than aaron rodgers right now in terms of provo. Bogus feelings about facts. That's a hard one that makes the whole list call into question although they have aaron donald the best player in the league. Which that does that does lend some credence that they did. Name the most dominant player in the nfl. The best player and doug. I'm just gonna tease ahead a little bit. We have got a great great. Kevin durant story coming up next hour in her line news. I thank you for downloading part to here we are. It's if you're if you're listening. After the fact i don't know what day it is but as i'm taping this or streaming est. I guess it's called. It's june eighteenth. So that means you're about five weeks training camp. So i certainly can't wait for that and before i get on to the next couple of subjects that it's going to take some a live chat comments and here's from awesome stuff nineteen ninety-three just about juju smith schuster and his relationship with the media or perceive perceived relationship and he says it seems like seminar media. Believed you to be two faced another guy off camera. Maybe that's that's true. But i don't really despite what i said earlier about how someone seminar media refund of love bell. I don't always necessarily feel like if the media doesn't like somebody that he's a bad guy just that maybe he and the media don't get along just because the media doesn't like player doesn't mean the players an evil person if you're if you're dealing with the media all the time and they're always asking questions and you can go and read about what they say about you and you don't have your skin thick as it should be and i can see why you would get upset coaches have bad relationship if you ever listen to a press conference that most head coaches a pretty darn condescending to a media when i talked to them if you mike tomlin so great example bill. Our that way chuck knoll was that way. A lot of coaches around the nfl. That are pretty spirited towards the media. When i do to press conferences and i don't hear people calling them bad guys. Just because they're they're they're mean to the reporter so but i have heard that about you. You have heard that you know. He's he's a one way on camera one way off but is that is that the case or is he just one way. When he's with the media is he kind of gardener with the media but in any event my next topic is about my might be boring to you but as per its memories as i said it's as i said Few minutes ago. It's june eighteenth. I'm talking right now and it's a it's one of those quote unquote slow news days for the most part in. It's a slow time of the year for the nfl. So it's about memories as wanna share my one memory my one favorite memory of the nfl or absorbed the usfl and how was the one thousand nine hundred four season. The one and only season of the pittsburgh steelers they were an expansion team the fellows owning its second year so The call mahler's expansion. You it's kind of a stretch but no pun intended but they weren't expansion. They were a new team and they played it the stadium in be quite honest as far as any games from that year and they finished three and fifteen tied for the worst record in the league. I don't really have any memories of of any actual games. Even though i watched a lot of the games that you're my only memory of that of the usfl as far as mahler's were concern is the fact today's signed or they drafted and sign. Mike rozier who was in one thousand nine hundred three heisman trophy award winner. He was running back from nebraska. And i actually watched that guy play for years. And i was in awe like i can still go back to early. Nineteen eighty four. And feel how. And all i was that they actually at the mall. There's actually signed. Mike rozier. Because i mean i had watched the steelers up for about five years up to that point and nobody's that they ever drafted. I had let me rephrase it. I had never heard of anybody that they had ever drafted up to that point. Nobody mark malone keith. Gary waller abercrombie. I didn't know any of them. Gabe rivera i didn't know any of those guys And of course the low around picks. I didn't you know i was. I was star struck that they got this guy he was gonna play in the usfl. And i it didn't work out in the end for rozier. Us player he went on to the nfl headed. Okay career not a great restaurant like four thousand yards. Certainly didn't live up to his his college career. But that was what was special about that. Eighty four season as so many stars in that league who played that year that would go on and have great careers in the nfl. Reggie white was in that. I don't know if he played in eighty four or not but he was. He was in that league Of course steve young nineteen eighty-four. He signed the biggest contract in the history of sports up to that point and ultimately went on to have a hall of fame career. The forty niners. Jim kelly was in in any. Usfl one thousand nine hundred shunned the bills. You don't wanna play in a cold weather city in buffalo so he went and played for the houston gamblers and he was rookie of the year in the league. Mvp through for forty four touchdowns and fifty one hundred yards. And of course. Jim kelly from pittsburgh and later that year damn renaud. Who's also from pittsburgh. Went to pitt played. Obviously for the for the dolphins and the nfl and he he went on and pass for five thousand yards and forty eight touchdowns was named nfo vp. So for one year. The two best quarterbacks in the world and the two best quarterback baxter's in terms of staff up to that point both resided in both from pittsburgh. There's pretty neat. But the muller's all disbanded. Ed debartolo. Who was the The former penguins cheese of he passed away now. He did not want to go head to head with the with the steelers because the usfl was trying to go for whatever reason they were trying to go head to head with the nfl and plan to fall which to me was a dumb a dumb move. They are nice. Nice thing going.

Update this has become the julio and erin show more so than the gmc football podcast. But that's neither here nor there we then spoke about afc teams that. Have the best shot of knocking out the chiefs in either preventing them from going to the afc championship game or to knock them out from being afc champions in general and we came up with. It's the buffalo bills more than anyone else. Buffalo bills have the quarterback that can do with josh allen. He is the best bill player of the last. A long longtime seriously could have won. Mvp if it weren't for aaron rodgers throwing forty eight touchdowns or whatever was besides that you know. Think about what the chiefs have. They have their guy. Mahomes tyreek hill travis. Kelsey buffalo has their guy josh allen. Stefan digs cole beasley. You don't think about those trios and then on defense. Yeah the bills yacht poi- and hide and trae white chiefs. Have you know tire and matthew. They have chris jones frank clark. So they have core pieces on both sides of the football. Both of them do so. They're similar in that respect. And if you think about a new young rivalry coming up that is one that we should be looking forward to. So that's why. I picked the bills the closest team to be able to compete with the chiefs. And that's why they're regular season matchup. This year's going to be so big as right now. The chiefs are up to now in that young rivalry bills need to get.

"Meena. Hello pablo hello is an nfl analyst for espn and the host of the meantime show featuring lenny so i need to know where you are on the football excitement alerts scale right now because i for a true tape grinder like yourself conference championship. Sunday is in some ways. Maybe even better than the super bowl if the football excitement scale as you call. It was one through ten conference championships. Sunday's about fifteen for me. There's know maybe about whether or not it's more exciting than the super bowl. Pablo it absolutely is. This is my favorite sunday of the year and in part because by the time we get to the super bowl we've talked about same matchups over and over and it's usually like. How many times can we say what you guys rush brady with four. You know before and of course always been in the super bowl the last decade or so. That's a phrase. I've said a lot inventive. You say that. I was going to say you're the person i i would really make that a me. I mean it's true but it's also more fun when you get to talk about other things and this particular set of games. It's really the best possible combination of teams in my opinion. There's a reason why the lions in vegas are very close because it actually looks like a pretty well matched pair of games. I wanna start with buccaneers packers. Meena because this was not a close game when these two teams played back. In october roggio touchdown tampa bay fire the cannons the bucks and thirty seven rogers was abysmal. In that game through zero touchdowns he threw two. picks completed. Completed doesn't half passes in tampa bay when they played each other. The first time and tampa bay destroyed perhaps not coincidentally green bay. Thirty eight to ten. So how did that blowout happened. Well this is. It was such a strange game. Pablo because aaron rodgers has had this incredible season which. I'm sure we'll talk about this. Is the one real blemish on his staff third drops better pass picked off the other side. By two thousand fifteen touchdown touchdown booker. He stunk i. There's no really nice way to put it. Now he stunk in part because the offensive line in green bay which has been spectacular. One of the best football year got beat up. Front rodgers was sacked six times pressured twenty one times. I mean no most of the time this series look cool as a cucumber back there but this was not the case and as mentioned had these very surprising interceptions coming from him. I think he finished the game with a passer rating of like thirty five. Okay so really. It was all about the buccaneers. Pass rush beating green bay upfront and aaron rodgers being uncomfortable as a result and that was also reflected in the running game. aaron jones had just ten carries. He averaged like one point. Five yards per rush again. Very dissimilar from the rest of the season. But you saw what could or should i. If in the eyes of tampa bay be the formula for beating green bay which is if you can stop the running game and keep the packers from executing their play action passing attack which flows from that and get them into third down and get pressure on rogers and obvious passing situations. That's your best chance of beating now. All those things i just said barry. Few teams in the nfl been able to do that but tampa was able to do that the last time. These two teams that so many things obviously have changed since then as you alluded to. That was back in week. Six when that game happened. So in what you've seen since then who's been better this year. Aaron rodgers tom brady. Aaron rodgers is undeniably. Been the better quarterback this year and he is my pick by the way for. Mvp it's between him. And patrick mahomes. It's close but rodgers is that an unreal season. I mean just statistically he's been first and qbr brady was tenth. He ranks third in yards per temporary. He was eleventh forty eight touchdowns brady at forty. He only through five pigs brady threw twelve. You get the idea. So while tom brady is the most complex quarterback of all time i believe. Aaron rodgers is the most talented. Patrick mahomes is kind of them. A run for that. And when these two goats meat i don't know where goat's meat in a field a meadow anyway to meet makes me sort of hungary. Honestly that phrase oud took it there. I guess goats will be hurting in green bay this weekend but the goat whose homefield it is home meadow. It is has been the better one this weekend. That's metaphor really. Just got out of control.

"forty eight touchdowns" Discussed on Fantasy Football Today Podcast
"Was incredible. Here's here's a stat just to lead us off on this jamie in two thousand eighteen. The top twelve fantasy quarterbacks average twenty three point four points per game. It's a lot. It was the most longtime in two thousand nine at dipped twenty one point six this year twenty twenty year. That just finished up the top twelve average for quarterbacks and fans points. This is six points for passing touchdowns twenty five point three points per game highest. I can ever remember it being ridiculous amount of points. I attribute a lot of it two rushing and the fact that these quarterbacks a lot of them that are in the top twelve they did a lot of rushing that stats on top of stats. We've been talking about that for years. I you're probably not surprised that it's twenty five point three points or you know especially with what we saw the start of the season where they weren't calling me holding calls you know the numbers will certainly a little bit more significant in the early part of the season then they were as the season tailed on whether obviously plays a part in that as well but i think the way that the nfl sort of approach this year with the pandemic with everything that unfolded. They wanted to make sure that the offensive numbers were high and they didn't call as many of those holding calls that we typically see that changed as the year went on. So let's talk about a couple of quarterbacks who didn't run that much and still finish strong fantasy including aaron rodgers. He was qb one. He was drafted. Eleventh quarterback corte avid position average draft position. Excuse me only three quarter. Three games all year where he didn't have twenty seven or more fantasy points. That's again in six points per passing touchdowns. He threw forty eight touchdowns. He ran for three touchdowns. I will talk about aaron rodgers and some concerns. I have a little bit later on. But i do want to give them credit for Definitely an mvp type season. He was outstanding. Nobody gave him credit for him to be able to put together a season. Quite like this. The touchdowns were amazing. The fact that he did it without an addition to his receiving corps Woods was equally amazing and the fact that aaron jones was still very good and aaron. Rodgers was off the charts also amazing so applause. All around where do you have. Rodgers rank going into twenty twenty Top five now. I think it's another opportunity for him to know still play high level. I'm curious what they're gonna do this. Offseason to enhance the receiving corps. If they do but if they don't know as long as the month adams stays healthy. I do think that we're going see aaron jones. Move on so. I don't necessarily have to worry about what those rushing touchdowns that he lost in twenty nineteen that he got back in two thousand twenty in terms of aaron rodgers. That was the big difference. Really was the touchdown total because what he the way he played in twenty..
