"That interview with JD to chili again, and you're a podcast Listeners just look up American viewpoints with Mike Ferguson that actually came from the show that airs every Sunday morning right here, and if you subscribe, you'll get a new podcast which are really short Like 11 minutes for the entire thing, but you'll get that Monday through Thursday. And so you could do that? I thought that was pretty interesting conversation. Did you play Wiffle balls, kid? Yes. Still play as an adult. You still play with 10 time? Yeah. I'm not gonna turn down a good Wiffle ball game. There's gonna great Wiffle ball game starts tomorrow in Kirkwood. Okay, so and I know a bunch of these guys, but they're actually going for a world record in whiffle ball. What is the current world record? The current world record is 30 hours, one in one minute. And that that was set in well this past June in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky House So a bunch of guys and gals are trying to break that record. And when you do this, you can't leave. You gotta play. I mean, you could get a sleeping bag and sleep for a little bit while somebody else plays. But there are 10 players. Are going to set the new world record for the longest marathon playing whiffle ball. So over 30 hours of unknown, uninterested Wiffle ball, and this is going to be happening at the All Star performance in Crestwood. Eso look at world record baseball and that these guys were doing the this and it's all a fundraiser for the honor flight, which is pretty cool, so it's going to go through the whole weekend. And so I'm going to run out there tomorrow and just check in on the guys because I played baseball against a lot of them. But I'm thinking I'd do it tomorrow, But I made do it Sunday when they're exhausted. Just point giggle a source of entertainment. Exactly, but no great job guys do in the world record with wild game, check it out. Just off. I 44 big Bend in Crestwood..

"The route the only had a couple of one on the far, right? The intended throw and then on the left, and I'm a little surprised. They didn't have a check down guy bragging across me because I could tell the minute parallel them, go with two Royal blue jerseys in the back right corner. It wasn't going to be caught. And he didn't have any other option. So an interesting call in Bethel now has all the momentum and a two touchdown lead. Saint Thomas is going to have to force a turnover somehow they got the ball back. Remember the Tommy's called a timeout because they weren't ready in offense to start the second half. And so they only have two left. That they rely on the running game all year long. Let's see if they try to run some here snap hand off up the middle Tommy's already fort Mitchell and company driving back to the fifteen, but they'll probably well. "The great American. Join us now is erect bottom Distel who's the owner and pharmacists that fort Mitchell drug shops and also Jamie, Peru, a pharmacy technician big story out of Kentucky. Of course, is that Kentucky. Farmers have lost quite a bit of business because of the decline of Tabacchi Tabacchi is on the way out. So the Kentucky department of agriculture is accepting applications to join a pilot program of growing hemp joining me now is that same bogging distant and also Jamie Purdue and first of all our Rick Baden distal. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham show. Rick. How are you? Good. You. Don't Bill I'm doing well, Rick. Let's talk first of all step back a little bit and explain hamp CBD in marijuana. Explain that well hemp and marijuana are very similar hemp was CBD cannabinoid Senate. They're non psychoactive, which means they don't make your high marijuana. And it is. Well, however, it is psychoactive, and it is not federally legal. They have on the other hand is legal marijuana's got CBD and THC the THC is the part that kind of makes you feel high and ham CBD is nine psycho psychoactive, which means that it does not cause a high now talk about how is it possible that CBD oil bombs and lotions is an anti inflammatory. You're in the pharmacy business, by the way. I full disclosure. I take CBD I got it. From a friend of mine indirectly, Bill Brisbane and owns a company called med CBD x dot com, and I've been shown gum for about a year. And it's helped I think markedly arthritis in my left hand on my back. Explain why is it an anti inflammatory what what's the qualities that make an inflammatory? Well, actually CBD has not been approved by the government for anything. Okay. So we cannot make claims that it did what is help someone. It doesn't. Help the research pretty much tells it just like you heard, and we all the people that have purchased it for various reasons, whether it's an anti inflammatory or pain or anxiety. We have not had one person come back and say that it didn't help them, which is amazing to me. It helped me because you know, I'm a golfer, and Rick if you look at your left hand my right hand a golfer. If you look at your left trigger finger, I use the interlocking grip, and so my left trigger finger interlocking was hurting so I had to stick it straight out about air ago. And since I started taking CBD my left trigger finger, which is a little bit crooked at the top is pain free. I used to get out of bed in the morning on my knees, and my hands I would stretch a little bit roll over a little bit on the floor get up and walk around a year ago when I started chewing CBD gum. I noticed about three four weeks into the process once a day like a little chocolate, I got out of bed and my back continues to hurt a little bit. But I don't roll on the floor. I get up and walk which is. To me significant thing I did different in my life other than getting a year older. CBD? And so put me in the category of those who say that from my experience as it worked. Well, we heard your show the end of last week, and I call weak area all different kinds of CBD, but we didn't carry the after hearing your show, I called Bob Esty and ordered one hundred packages will be one of the few people in this area to carry it. Especially since we're in Kentucky, we can sell illegally were won't won't allow their source to sell it. Yeah. It's kinda stupid. You talk about stupid, Ohio two and a half years ago. We passed this big time law that allowed for medical marijuana. And because of the incompetence of state government was supposed to come into effect September the AAC. Okay. But that would take the CBD and THC whatever you want from the dispensaries, and because of the incompetence the state government September eighth. Come and go come and went now, we're another six months into the deal. But some county sheriff's have begun arresting people that. CBD in Ohio because it's after September the eighth how stupid is that? Well, it it. It's actually stupid for several reasons in my opinion, if couple months ago, I am in Ohio pharmacists, also, even though I work in Kentucky. I got an Email from a state board of pharmacy. That says no no store at all is allowed to carry or sell CBD, a state of Ohio actually been good for me because we're in Kentucky, which is only six minutes horrible. And he can't believe the number of people coming across the river to buy it here. Isn't that stupid? Look how much tax revenue that costs taxable item. At this point. It's not a prescription. So we we collect sales tax Kentucky instead of you collecting for Ohio. That's because we're stupid in Kentucky. Smart and Jamie, Jamie. Peru weather's too. Yeah. Sure. Would you like talk to talk to you real quick? Hello, jamie. Peru. You're like pharmacy tech. Correct. Yes. Explained to me because Senator Mitch. Mcconnell didn't like so much till about three or four months ago. Now, I love the guy, and I love the guy because of what's happening in the supreme court and what he's doing with him. Explain about Kentucky farmers. What's happening with the department of agriculture in Kentucky about taking applications for pilot program to grow hemp. Explain what's going on. Well, it is now currently legal in the state of Kentucky. Excuse me to manufacturer and Purdue. Okay. For two thousand fourteen it was not. So some of the there's only a couple of farms in Kentucky currently that are legally allowed to grow in manufacturer, the ham and anything that they grow in manufactured does have to have less than point three percent THC in it in order to be manufactured, and then put out on the shelf and hamp has all these purposes ham also produces CBD, but also you can hempseed you can eat the fiber can be used to make clothing and rope crack, yes, they are using it. It's been used in textiles for hundreds and hundreds of years. But yeah. So there is they are making it into there's seeds that people eat like sunflower seeds. They make it into a powder that people will put into like protein drinks and things like that. Along with the actual like him extract. The soft gels are topical says the gum. Obviously, there's other ones that they consider edibles like dummies and things like that that they're able to produce. Yes. Jamie and the good old days when I drove around Kentucky. I all this Tabacchi hanging upside down in Barnes, and you don't see that much anymore. And so there's been two hundred Kentucky growers who've been approved by the department of agriculture on a pilot program has been going on now for about four years is the pilot program still going on is the pilot program now over and they're doing it. I guess they're doing it. Right. You can you can sell it and use it legally and conducting correct? Like, I said, we're familiar with a couple of the places in Kentucky. That are manufacturing and growing it in Kentucky. I don't know how many other ones there are that are at this point able to we only know of a few of them on one of the products. We carry here at the forementioned drum shop that is actually manufactured anger and Santana Kentucky. It's all legal. Yes. Yes. One hundred percent. Yes. As long as it has less than. Point three percent, teach CNN it is legal to sell in the state of Kentucky in point three percents. Not enough to get your high. It's like insignificant. No, you cannot at all. No. There is no way that you can get high off of it whatsoever. The the hem CBD extracts that we carry our non psychoactive completely. So if one wants to get hi, this is not the way to do it whatsoever. We were actually told when we started carrying the product, but someone could drink the entire display, and there's no way they could ever get high off of it. Maybe that's good or bad. But at least, you know, going in you're not gonna get high and affect your driving or something like, no, not no not at all. Now. Rick. Are you looking forward to the day when you're Ohio? Uber pharmacy in Ohio. Also is that correct Bill just a licensed Kentucky fort Mitchell drug shop, and that's it. And so when Ohio gets his act together, which might be another six months because we're we're supposed to have twenty-five growers up and going which isn't happening. We're supposed to have like forty processors was not happening and they picked the dispensary. So to speak the retail shops. But no one's putting them up because you have no product to sell and no baron is being processed six months from now all of that's going to be hopefully corrected. So if someone and six months wants to stay in Ohio and by their gummy bears other gums in Ohio. What affect your business in Kentucky. But what will the hamp business in Kentucky with the CBD? Would that be as good or as as proficient medically as the other business and Ohio? Once it gets up and running. I think it's going to be as good or better. I think people are just finding out about this the same way that we did when we started researching at a year ago and the growth of this is field is just absolutely phenomenal. And as far as opioids pharmacists or at dead center. When it comes to all the opioids being sold in prescribed. Is there anecdotal? Not proof is there. Anecdotal evidence that people who use CB can wean themselves off opioids. There is no evidence. We can claim that it's going to happen. I will tell you that we have four or five customers who are still buying it monthly for that purpose pain. That's correct. And in the past have you according CBD for the side for the moment. And the last few years heavy noted an uptick in people using opioids. In the last few years. Yeah. Yes. There is definitely definitely an uptick is there a possibility some of us who have been on this for two or three years believe that this will lessen opioid use. If CBD becomes more widespread it's going to hurt the pharmaceutical businesses as far as manufacturing. But isn't there anecdotal evidence that this would help with the opioid addiction? I believe that it will. Yes, now, why can you tell me why Ohio is dragging its feet like this? No, I can't. But you're happy. They are. Well, I could to our business. But it's it's awful for what they've done to the citizens of Ohio, bingo, because we the citizens indirectly through the representatives two and a half years ago in may of two thousand sixteen voted this law into effect. And because Casey wanted a pocket veto it by saying, I don't wanna do it. He's doing things politically to make sure we don't have these drugs. He's leaving office pass. His onto the next governor, that's a political thing. But Rick, I'm glad you called them. Once again you at the fort Mitchell drug shop there in fort Mitchell, which is what five six minutes from the high river. You got it and house our sales coming great unbelievable. Dystopia? You're a great American and thanks for coming on the Bill Cunningham. Thanks, Willie your great American. God bless America. And God bless Kentucky my homestay via. Thank you. There. You go. Think about this step back and take a look there's a fort Mitchell drug shop a pharmacist in fort Mitchell, legally selling CBD in Kentucky one Ohio passed a law two and a half years ago, which allow all this business, which is hundreds of millions of dollars to stay within the state of Ohio employ Ohioans..

"Cunningham, the great American Baden stole who's the owner and pharmacists that fort Mitchell drug shops and also Jamie, Peru a pharmacy technician. Big story out of Kentucky courses Kentucky. Farmers have lost quite a bit of business because of the decline of Tabacchi tobacco. He's on the way out. So the Kentucky department of agriculture is accepting applications to join a pilot program of growing hemp joining me now is that same bogging digital and also Jamie Purdue and first of all our Rick bottom. Distal? Welcome to the Bill Cunningham show. Rick. How are you? Good. How you doing Bill? I'm doing well, Rick. Let's talk first of all step back a little bit and explain hamp CBD in marijuana. Explain that. Well. Marijuana are very similar hemp was. CBD senate. They're non psychoactive, which means they don't make your high marijuana has a CD, and it is well, however, it is psychoactive, and it is not federally legal. They have on the other hand is legal. So marijuana's got CBD and THC the THC is the part that kind of makes you feel high and ham CBD is nine psychoactive, which means that it does not cause a high now talk about how is it possible that CBD oil and bombs and lotions is an anti inflammatory. You're in the pharmacy business, by the way. I full disclosure. I take CBD, and I got it. From from a friend of mine indirectly, Bill Brisbane and owns a company called med CBD x dot com and I've been chewing gum for about a year. And it's helped I think markedly arthritis in my left hand on my back. Explain why is it an anti? Inflammatory what what's the qualities that make an inflammatory? Well, actually CB has not been approved by the government for anything. Okay. So we cannot make claims that it did what it helps. And what it doesn't help the research pretty much tells it just like you heard, and we all the people that have purchased it for various reasons, whether it's an anti inflammatory your pain or anxiety. We have not had one person come back and say that it didn't help them, which is amazing to me. It helped me because I'm a golfer, and Rick if you look at your left hand my right hand a golfer. If you look at your left trigger finger, I use the interlocking grip, and so my left trigger finger, interlocking was was hurting. So I had to stick it straight out about a year ago. And since I started taking CBD my left trigger finger, which is a little bit crooked at the top is pain free. I used to get out of bed in the morning on my knees, and my hands I would stretch a little bit roll over a little bit on the floor get up and walk around a year ago when I started chewing gum I noticed about three four weeks into the process once a day like a little chocolate, I got out of bed and my back continues to hurt a little bit. But I don't roll on the floor. I get up and walk which is to me significant thing I did different in my life other than getting a year older. Was the chew CBD? And so put me in the category of those who say that from my experience as it worked. Well, we heard your show a couple at the end of last week, and I call weak area all different kinds of CBD, but we didn't carry the gum. So after hearing your show, I called Bob Esty and ordered two hundred packages. So be one of the few people in this area to carry it. Especially since we're in Kentucky we can sell legally. We're Ohio won't won't allow their source to sell it. It's kinda stupid. You talk about stupid, Ohio two and a half years ago. He passes big time law that allowed for medical marijuana. And because of the incompetence of state government was supposed to come into effect September the AAC. Okay. But that would take the CBD and THC whatever you want from the dispensaries, and because of the incompetence the state government September eighth come and go come and went now, we're another six months into the deal. But some county sheriff's have begun arresting people that have CBD in Ohio because it's after September the eighth how. Stupid is that well it it's actually stupid for several reasons in my opinion couple months ago. I am in Ohio pharmacists, also, even though I work in Kentucky. I got an Email from a state board of pharmacy. That says no no store at all is allowed to carry or sell CBD in a state of Ohio actually been good for me because we're in Kentucky, which is only six minutes from Ohio, and he can't believe the number of people coming across the river to buy it here. Isn't that stupid? Look how much tax revenue that caused such a taxable item. At this point is not a prescription so weak. We collect sales tax Kentucky instead of you collecting for Ohio. That's because we're stupid and Kentucky smart. And is Jamie, Jamie, Peru with us too? Yeah. Sure. Would you like talk to talk to you real quick? Hello, jamie. Peru. You're like a pharmacy tech. Correct. Explain to me because Senator Mitch McConnell who I didn't like so much till about three or four months ago. Now, I love the guy, and I love the guy because of what's happening scream court and what he's doing with him. Explain about Kentucky farmers. What's happening? What the department of agriculture in Kentucky about taking applications for pilot program to grow hemp. Explain what's going on. Well, it is now currently legal in the state of Kentucky. Excuse me to manufacturer and Purdue. Okay. Before two thousand fourteen. It was not. So some of the there's only a couple of farms in Kentucky currently that are legally allowed to grow in manufacturer, the ham and anything that they grow in manufacturer does have to have less than point three percent THC in it in order to be manufactured, and then put out on the shelf and hampers all these purposes ham also produces CBD, but also you can hempseed you can eat the fiber can be used to make clothing and rope crack, yes, they are using it on it's been used in textiles for hundreds and hundreds of years. But yes, so there is they are making it into there's seeds that people eat like sunflower seeds. They make it into a powder that people will put into like protein drinks and things like that along with the actual like him extract the soft gels or topical says the gum. Obviously, there's other ones that they consider edibles like Gumy's and things like that that they're able to produce. Yes, Jamie, the good old days when I drove around Kentucky us all this Tabacchi hanging upside down in Barnes, and you don't see that much anymore. That are like I said manufacturing and growing it in Kentucky. I don't know how many other ones there are that are at this point able to we only know of a few of them one of the products, we carry here at the former drum shop that is actually manufactured anger and Cynthia in Kentucky, and it's all legal. Yes. Yes. One hundred percent. Yes. As long as it has less than. Point three percent, teach CNN it is legal to sell in the state of Kentucky in point three percents. Not enough to get your high. It's like insignificant. No, you cannot at all. No. There is no way that you can get high off of it whatsoever. The the ham CBD extracts that we carry our non psychoactive completely. So if one wants to get hi, this is not the way to do it. Yeah whatsoever. We were actually told when we started carrying the product that someone could drink the entire display, and there's no way they could ever get high off. Maybe that's good or bad. But at least, you know, going in you're not gonna get high and affect your driving or something. No, not at all. Now. Rick. Are you looking forward to the day when you're Ohio, you'll pharmacy in Ohio? Also is that correct? Just a licensed Kentucky fort Mitchell drug shop, and that's it. And so when Ohio gets his act together, which might be another six months because we're we're supposed to have twenty-five growers up and going which isn't happening. We're supposed to have like forty processors was not happening and they picked the dispensary so to speak the retail shops. But no one's putting them up because you have no product to sell and no on is being processed six months from now all of that's going to be hopefully corrected. So if someone and six months wants to stay in Ohio and by their gummy bears are there gums in Ohio. What? Affect your business in Kentucky. But what will the hamp business in Kentucky with the CBD? Would that be as good or as as proficient medically as the other business in Ohio? Once it gets up and running. I think it's going to be as good or better. I think people are just finding out about this the same way that we did when we started researching at a year ago in the growth in this is field is just absolutely phenomenal. And as far as opioids pharmacists are at dead center. When it comes to all the opioids being sold in prescribed is there anecdotal not proof is there anecdotal evidence that people who use CBD can wean themselves off opioids. There is no evidence. We can claim that's going to happen. I will tell you that we have four or five customers who are still buying it monthly for that purpose pain. That's correct. And in the past have you pudding CBD for the side for the moment. And the last few years have you noticed an uptick in people using opioids in the last few years. Yeah. Yes. There is definitely definitely an uptick is there a possibility some of us who have been on this for two or three years believe that this will lessen opioid use. Bought in distal. You're a great American and thanks for coming on the Bill Cunningham, sank Willie. You're a great American. God bless America. And God bless Kentucky. My homestay. Thank you. There. "Creepy story. This is ski af right now, I got a guy in fort Mitchell who was busted because he ordered online from China, a sex style in the sex doll made to look like a child a girl between seven and nine and a second one that looked like an infant female, and he is being charged with possession of a matter portraying sexual performance by minor. Going to question. Of course, is that really breaking the law because you have to look at it and go all right? It's a dull it's it's using your imagination. And I think most of us early hostal most of us would every problem with laws going after what you imagine as opposed to actually victimizing someone is horrific and disgusting and disturbed as crimes against children. Are I think if you're reasonable common sense says, well, you're not exploiting someone here? Well, who you expect? I guess we're a crime like this to occur. Someone has to be exploited. Look at Bill. Cosby look at what judge Kavanagh's accused of doing clue a victim that right? In this case. Where's where's the victim? It's it's plastic. It's an inanimate object in now, you get into some really weird legal territory. I would think the other thing is this stuff's all coming from China. Why would you even need the dark web? If you have China because everything bad comes from China. So maybe maybe the president's that bad a guy from posing tariffs against China because it's crap. We don't want any way five one three seven four nine seven thousand eight under the big one hundred eighteen to Lebanon in Tanya, you're on the show. Good morning. Hey, what's up? I agree with you. I feel like you know, they need to focus their time on. With these on this. This is how they stick individuals.

"Sure the the fort mitchell side that i mentioned earlier was was really fascinating i've always enjoyed studying time periods when when cultures are interacting which you know that happens basically all the time but certain points in history it happens maybe more strikingly and so as the as the american frontier was opening up opening up in the south and bama prior to state it was still owned by several different indian tribes especially the creek indians in the eastern part of the state for mitchell was built along the federal road and that was during the first creek war as well as the time of the war of eighteen twelve so you have a fascinating situation there you've got creek indians some of them have really become they did adapted to farming and they were allies of the the american military forces and then there there was a civil war going on i'm on the creek and they were finding each other and they were fighting american encroachment atlan lost and the four mental site we worked at we've actually worked at a trading post they used to call them indian factories but it was a trading post at the four mitchell trading post and you find indian pottery you find buttons from the early eighteen hundreds associated with that military activity prior to stay that was a great to be able to work on for a long time more recently the most interesting site that we've worked on and we were able to work on on it for several years off and on was a site in orange beach alabama it's right on by saint john on a beautiful blouse and the landowner voluntarily hired us and a local university university of alabama put together volunteer team and we excavated early mississippi and buy it at more than twenty animal effigies which would be basically a prehistoric artists making the beautiful duck and how made out of clay and fired and it would have been a ceremonial they would be attached to ceremonial container vessel of some sort and we found we found a large number of them some human fit klay hit on this site and that those artifacts were eventually donated by the landowner to the anthropology museum at university of south alabama which is worth a visit if any of.
