"General Josh Call. They didn't Taser. Jake, take a Blake. They did find a knife. On the floorboard. So again Wait till all the facts get out. We're Joe Biden finally discovers his voice after he was goaded into it by the media and his party and even John Kasich. Joining us now on our Newsmaker hotline is Congressman Andy Harris. Good morning. Good morning before we get to the vice president's excellent speech last night from Fort McHenry. What? What is your reaction to Joe Biden, finally, not a single word condemning his violence during the convention last week for the last 85 days in Portland. Finally, he is, he's discovered that he might be opposed to it. Well, look, the Democrats must just have seen the polls that show that that Americans really aboard this violence supports peaceful protest. They don't like the violence, but the Democrats haven't gotten the message, but the American people figure it out. They know that the Republicans to the party of Law and Order When law and order is the issue, they will vote Republican. He said. The polls you're right because of some of Paul's I've seen invite has taken a hit even coming out of the convention on DH won the reasons Why is this ongoing violence in In the cities. The vice president's speech last night for Fort McHenry, What was your reaction to it? No, it was tremendous. I mean, you know, the vice president knows that media has been saying about this president is been a lie along on May laid out the case quite clearly that if this country wants safety and security and economic prosperity There's a clear choice this fall, and it's a vote. President Term President Trump for another four years. Congressman with I might of the idea that the Democrats are now going to come around and say, Let's pay attention to violence in the streets, one of the oddly amusing things about this. That kind of gallows humor is This was mentioned on chicken noodle news the other day. Don Lemon said that 11th at CNN, right or is he have MSNBC and CNN? Hey said that they're paying attention. Because it showing up in the polls not because it's the right thing to do, but because it showing up in the polls to me, that's just an incredibly cynical way of looking at politics, even in this country in this year. Well again, You know, the American, The American people know that with law and order is is on the ballot. The Republicans win, and they understand that the Democrats or too little, too late to this game, that the country is already gone through a lot in terms of these violent protest without without a little without a whiff of negative reaction from Democrat leadership. The Republicans and President Trump has led all the way on this supporting our men and women in uniform. You know, opposing this violence. It's it's crystal clear to the American people and the Democrats. You know, to their credit, I guess finally figured it out that Americans like security, but they're not going to fool anyone Congressman tonight. President Trump will seal the deal hopefully You're going to be in attendance. I understand. Okay, So what does the president need to do? What do you think he needs to do to finish the job on wrap us up because I think if he does What I think he's going to do. He's going to come out of this convention of being the front runner in these in these polls. Well, I think he needs to just continue the message of the past three days. The Republican convention and the messages are you know you can't believe what's in the media. You have to listen to what people are saying Thie. Some of the speakers over the last few days have just been tremendous. I mean, they have shown that this president, you know that it's laughable to call this president a racist. The fact of the matter is again powerful, powerful. People speaking, you know their testimony was just powerful. The bottom line is he needs to show that he is the person who cares for the little man. The person who cares for the forgotten person. This is how he was elected four years ago, and this is how he's going to be re elected this year. I was actually able to walk again a little bit of audio for the president who apparently, you know like anybody does, he give a major speech has been spending some time rehearsing it. From what I understand this is how it's going. You make your behind a beautiful house and you know you wasting yourself. Well, I'm not quite sure. I understand this direction. There's some rock band.
Pence makes case for another Trump term
"In accepting his nomination for another term vice president pence took on an attack dog role with the GOP ticket trailing in the polls pence says the choice November third isn't whether the nation will become more conservative or liberal it's more basic is whether America remains America saying Joe Biden would set it on a path of socialism and decline that Americans will not be safe law and order are on the ballot continuing a theme previous speakers hammered aggressively backing law enforcement but saying little about black Americans shot by police his remarks at Baltimore's fort McHenry came hours after games and for professional sports leagues were called off as players protested racial injustice sabar mag ani Washington
Pence makes case for another Trump term
"On day three of their convention Republicans faced a turbulent reality of emergencies facing America the convention was overshadowed by another police shooting and accepting his nomination at Baltimore's fort McHenry vice president pence aggressively back to law enforcement amid more protests in Wisconsin the violence must stop weather in Minneapolis Portland Oregon OSHA he briefly mentioned hurricane Laura as it aimed at the Gulf coast stay safe and defended the administration's virus pandemic response we're slowing the spread president trump joined depends on stage and will give his own acceptance speech tonight at the White House Sager mag ani Washington
Turbulent reality collides with GOP convention.
"Turbulent reality is clashing with these smooth steady image Republicans are attempting to paint of President Donald, trump and his leadership on the third night of the GOP convention with a potentially catastrophic hurricane bearing down on the Gulf coast wildfires, ravaging huge areas of California protests growing in Wisconsin after the shooting of a black man by police still raging corona virus pandemic, killing more than a thousand Americans a day with no apparent federal leadership adding still another controversial element the NBA postponed three playoff games after the Milwaukee, bucks refused to take the court for their game following the shooting of Twenty Nine Year Old Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin That was a few hours before vice president. Mike Pence was to speak from Baltimore's Fort Mchenry where in eighteen fourteen battle inspired the national anthem. Trump has strongly criticized athletes who neil rather than stand during the anthem in protest of racial injustice. The historical convergence of health economic environmental and social emergencies is only increasing the pressure on trump as he looks to reshape the contours of his lagging campaign against former vice president Joe Biden with Election Day just ten weeks off and early voting beginning much sooner. The GOP's convention response to those growing challenges have been uneven. The opening nights featured virtually no reference to the hurricane or wildfires covid nineteen was referred to as the China virus as xenophobic trope for a worldwide pandemic. The lineup is included speakers who have been at odds with the black lives matter movement including ace, Luis couple who brandished guns and the Kentucky Attorney General who has not yet filed charges in the death of a woman killed by police. Organizers on Tuesday had pulled another featured speaker, Angel Mom Marianne Mendoza after she directed her twists followers to a series of anti-semitic conspiratorial messages hours before her prerecorded segment was to add convention speakers also reinforcing trump's long order message warning electing Biden would lead to violence in American cities spilling into the suburbs, a message with racist tones despite the reality of these protests happening right now during trump's first term and much of the criticism from demonstrators levied at the sitting President himself at times the RNC appear to be presenting a parallel universe that few people inhabit but for those making the speeches, an idealistic patriotic habitat where the people didn't complain about their lot because they were proud Americans. Most significant all over the three nights of speeches with a literal falsehoods about the Biden campaign rather than run on their own platform. The Republicans have sought to demolish the policies of the left with propaganda, rewriting them to suit their own agenda. US health officials sparked criticism and confusion about hosting new guidelines on corona virus testing from the White House task force that run counter to what scientists say is necessary to control the pandemic. The new guidance says it's not necessary for people who have been in close contact with infected people, but don't feel sick to get tested. It was posted earlier this week on the website of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC previously had advised local health departments to test people who have been within six feet of an infected person for more than fifteen minutes across the country. Public Health experts called the change bizarre. They noted that testing contacts of infected people is a core element of public health efforts to keep outbreaks in check, and it's a large percentage of infected people. The CDC has said as many as forty percent exhibit no symptoms federal officials said the new recommendation was issued by consensus of the White House virus topic force. However Dr Anthony found she the country's top infectious disease expert, and perhaps the best known task force member said, he wasn't part of the discussion that green lit the change suggesting it may have come from the President himself the American Medical Association in a statement called the change a recipe for community spread the Association of American Medical Colleges called it a step backward in fighting the pandemic. Restricting testing could be self defeating because it could skew the numbers and create a perception that rates of infection are Haya. Another explanation for the change is that Donald Trump simply wants to see case counts drop and discouraging more people from getting tested is one way to do it with the general election two months away and concern that a high number of infections might affect his chances of reelection.

America. To speech by Secretary of State Mike, pompeo. While on an official trip to Jerusalem, this president has led bold initiatives in nearly every corner of the world. The State Department says Pompeo was acting in his personal, not professional capacity and the White House says no laws have been violated but critics argue those blurred lines are inappropriate and maybe illegal and point to what they call a gulf between rhetoric and reality like the overtures to black Americans despite the president's past racist tweets and from top adviser a reference to the current corona virus pandemic in past tense. Then came a once in one hundred year pandemic. About, thousand people are still dying every day from the corona virus a heartbreak first lady Melania trump acknowledged donald not rest until he has done all he can. To, take. Trump's Loyal Wing Man Pence Gives RNC Speech On Wednesday
"The Republican National Convention enters Day three and tonight The list of speakers will include more Trump family, White House staff and vice President Mike Pence, who will be the headliner? The veep won't be speaking from the White House. Instead, he'll be at Baltimore's historic Fort McHenry. Let's dive a little deeper on who's up there talking points and how the convention is faring with Politico co founder John Harris High you, John Good afternoon. So let's start with Mike Pence. Any idea why he chose Fort McHenry for his speech and what theme he will be addressing Well, it certainly is. Ah, majestic setting. If you've ever been up there in Baltimore, the theme he's going to be stretching is like the others. Donald Trump's Competence in leadership. It's really the the rebuttal to the indictment the Democrats made so persistently against him a week ago. Ah Ah, and then also when a vice president speaks to a convention like this, obviously, in most instances, they're also looking to the future. Might he be the one accepting the Republican nomination four years ago? And so certainly that is on his mind. Outgoing adviser Kellyanne Conway speaks tonight, John She has been a steadfast ally and important voice for the president, any idea what she'll be touching on as she winds down her tenure? Yeah, I think that she is going to be part of the reassurance campaign. This convention. Hillary so far has been one mobilisation. Getting the Republican base worked up. Primarily, they're doing that with indictments. Ah, warning that Joe Biden would be a terrible leader and then also it's about reassurance. People who think that President Trump is too this or too volatile. Ah, they're looking for voices to say. He's actually steady year or more empathetic presence. Then he's portrayed in the media. And I am guessing Kellyanne Conway will do a little of both those but more on the reassurance. So we saw the other day the Nielsen ratings for the first night. We're down for the Republicans. The Democrats had more people that particular night. Is there any way to know what this point whether the convention is striking a tone and message that's resonating positively with Americans? It's really hard in this environment, Hillary. The thing we always look to from a convention is what the bounce usually you can see, Uh, parties and their nominees go up in the polls immediately following Conventions. I think this year is a little different for a couple of reasons. One. The country's already so divided how many people are really being moved by these events, and then also, as we've seen, the ratings are down. This isn't a real convention essentially to three hours a night of political programming, and I think it's unlikely that's going to have a big echo as measured in public opinion polls. All right, John, as always good talking to you. Thanks so much. 00 That's politico co founder John Harris. Let's

"The first thing you want from them is the name and their cell phone number. So even if this is not a great time to talk to them just get their name and cell phone number. Then if you especially if you're driving right now, then when you get you a destination or tonight tomorrow and the next day, you can pick up the phone, and you have a direct line to a loan officer. I'm trying not to have anyone get voicemail. You know, I stopped in Bank of America the other day, and there was a big sign in their window and said ask to talk to our mortgage specialists. So I have cost when eight and ask for their mortgage. Specialists. Oh, he Bill. I'm sorry. He's only here on Thursday mornings. I said, well, that's kind of weird. But okay. Can I have his name and cell phone number? No. We can't give that out. I said what about his Email address? No. Well, how do I get in touch with them? Well, just leave us your name and number and he'll get back to you. When he can. And that just boggled my mind, but that's what you're running into with these interest rates down as low as they are people are trying to refinance before they go up. And who knows when I hope they last the whole summer, but who knows and then you've got people looking to refinance. So many people have come out of the woodwork. All of a sudden with these interest rates down so loan. Officers are busy, and you know, any place you call you're going to get voicemail. You have them all sitting in the office. They're eight hundred number again is three two one five five take advantage of them all being in there. I mean, they curse me every time. I make them come in. But this is one way that you can get a hold of a loan officer. And even if you're driving right now, you don't have a pan or nobody else in the car with you. Call them up and ask them to say, I'm driving right now. Can you text me your name and your cell phone number? So that I can call you when I have more time take advantage of getting there. Name and cell phone number. Are I wanna tell you know, we've done a couple of these last month? The first time we've done these in about a year and a half. I know maybe, you know, years ago, you heard about the streamline refinance anyone who has an FHA or a VA loan a government loan. You can do a streamline refinance. What's so great about that? There's no appraisal required. The only requirement really is have you paid you mortgage in the month that it was due for the past twelve months. That's it and anybody who has an interest rate on a government loan. That's you know, high fours four and three quarters four and seven eighths. We can lower your interest rate, and we can also pay your closing costs. It's called streamline refinance. It's not my program. It's the FHA in the VA have come up with this program. And since the interest rates are down anybody. So nobody should be listening to me who has a government loan. That's over four and seven eighths. You know, I had one person call me and say Bill I heard you couple of weeks ago on the radio saying this, and I said, well, that's great. What's your interest rate now eleven and a quarter? I said eleven and a quarter. So well credit wasn't too good when we bought the house for years ago. And that's what we had to end up with by God. Well, their credits fine. Now, it's not great. But it was like a six sixty credit score. And they were able to streamline refinance no appraisal, no closing costs. And they just said thank you very much. And we lowered their will be lower their payment by about four hundred ninety five dollars a month. It's a terrific program. So anybody who has a government loan call the office and grabbed one of these loan officers again, they're eight hundred numbers three two one five five five five. Now, if you don't have a government loan, you can certainly do a conventional refi a lot of people at the same time a lowering their term, you know, if you've been in the house for five years, and you still have twenty five more years to go. You probably can go down to the twenty year loan. You might even be able to take some cash out. You know, every thousand only changes your payment by about five dollars a month. So you might be able to take out five or ten thousand dollars and still have your payment go down, and you might be able to go down to the twenty year loan, or if you've been in the house with for ten years, and you still have twenty more years to go. You might be able to go down to the fifteen year loan. There are so many options, call them and talk to a loan officer. Okay. We're gonna take a quick break. We'll be right back there. Eight hundred numbers three two one five five five five. We'll be right back. This report brought to you by blue EMU things looking better heading for the fort McHenry tunnel..
