"This story involving this former Austin fire Lieutenant James Baker expected to plead guilty this week to a charge of invasive visual recording or using a hidden camera to take video of the female firefighter in a shower station. What the hell is that the word is in exchange for a plea deal? He's going to get five years deferred adjudication close friend and supervisor. And he's basically getting a ham slot getting a hand slap. That is Bob Knicks. He's with the Austin fire department union. He's the president of the union. He says this is an insult to the victim. He was caught doing it. It was videotaped and confessed we can get some sort of conviction with that sort of evidence than what chance of any female. Getting a harassment case adjudicated and Travis county. This is amazing. I can't believe he's getting a slap on the wrist. The charge usually carries a two year jail sentence. He hit a camera in a shower and filmed, a co worker somebody in his position, especially it needs to be used as an example as a as a strong message. You know, he needs equal protection under the law. Okay. If you did that work you'd get two years in jail. That's what he deserves. In this lap on the wrist right here. What can a message to that Sindelar rank and file limit the female firefighters going to send all kinds of messages preferential treatment, maybe some kind of bias? But it's certainly not enough. And it's incredible. That this guy did this to begin with? It's responsible that somebody in his position would have such. Unbelievably bad, judgment and got there to begin with. Then we got another disgusting story involving a bully high school math teacher Twenty-three-year-old, Erica Gomez has admitted to having sex with a fifteen year old student and that point in time this relationship developed between her and a student which ultimately led to the inappropriate relationship. That is APD. Brandon Paul says Gomez has confessed to the relationship, but noted there's nothing. No, no further evidence suggests that are other victims out there. Right. This was discovered because mom look at looked at the boys phone and saw some Snapchat. Some text messages that were well dirty and call the police the investigating they called her in. And she admitted to it. Just a good reason that kids shouldn't have phones. I mean, it does create more access. It does it makes. No, no, no. You're you're focusing on an inanimate object. You should be focusing on the dirty teacher. Well, there's that there's that. But as far as what a parent can do to control this, you gotta think this does make the kids. More vulnerable. The alibi is they were just acting out a scene from a movie from sixteen years ago. This is not a joke. A Mississippi school district has apologized. Finally today, and a high school band director has not been fired suspended after the band staged a halftime skit that depicted police being shot the controversy of skit came as the forest hill high school band from Jackson Mississippi performed Friday night during a football game against Brookhaven high school to the south. It's shocked many at the game in Brookhaven because you're six days earlier in that small town not one but two police officers were killed in a shootout with a suspect. It was sad. Now in a skit. There are one two three four five six students. With what looks like assault style rifles them dressed as nurses and doctors pointing at police officers dresses swat other students, trusted swat team members laying on the ground. The forest hill high school marching band director. Dimitri Jones has been placed on administrative leave. Now, I would just say this. How is this? Not just you're fired immediately. We we do this here in the mid south. We drew great changing scandals, and we shuffle around staff, and they still have their jobs. We have people we know we're changing grades. And we just moved them from one school to another. We don't fire them. It takes almost a year and a half to fire the coach who we knew was deliberately changing grades of students. And we have other coaches that were involved in the grade changing scandal of athletes who just go to other schools in coach there. I mean, our public school system is very much. I would argue like the Catholic church you have someone that's accused of doing a heinous crime. And then what you do or doing sitting horrendous like this. And what we ended up doing is just saying oh move them around. All right. Well, this is controversial. So let's just move them around move them around a little bit. And it'll be fine. You know, take this guy suspend them with Sikkim over here and put them in another different group of people. It'll it'll all work out. All right. Find three five nine seven three two. They had to buy the props which were a are fifteen style guns and for everybody that cares about school shootings. I mean, isn't that enough right there? I mean seriously, isn't that enough right there? For all of that. We're supposed to care about. And and I would think that liberals would be really mad about this. You have students depicting gun violence where is the anti gun movement? Where are the parkland students demanding answers on this? Where are the anti gun advocates where the senators and congressmen saying, you know, we want a full investigation into this. How dare you allow this to happen? Five three five nine seven three to five three five nine seven three two eight hundred number one eight hundred four seven four nine seven three to let me go to Chris. Thanks for waiting. "I you were participating in ten gang rapes in high school. What? Yeah. FU he showed to me actually, incredible restraint. Listen, people should be upset with this Mississippi high school marching band here about this. They have sparked some outrage within halftime performance that depicted a swat team members holding well held at gunpoint by students. What? Yeah, they had the band on the field with fake guns. And look like a are fifteen and then someone dressed as a police officer on their back on the ground with the kids standing over. I'm pointing a gun at them. Several members of the forest hill high school band were pictured supposedly reacting scene from a movie while the rest of the band played a halftime show during the game against Brookhaven high school. Now Brookhaven was the city in which two officers were shot just last week about that man, what a horrible story. This is we have to do better. This is something that never should have happened. And we hope that as a teachable moment. Not only those students but for the league. Absolutely. Yeah. That is a Walter Armstrong. He's with the police union. The forest hill band director has reportedly been been placed on administrative leave while the school district investigates. The matter and band directors should be arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. No kidding, come on, man. Here's the guy for here's Walter Armstrong for the police union first all those officers after call service, they asked to call that someone was in distress upon arriving to the scene, they realized shots have been found a fired they found blitz owner saying they went to look for that victim who was in need of their service. And once they found this victim, of course, they ambush, but I think is very important that Jackson public school district swiftly and aggressively took a stand then modest band and the band director is only but again for the life of me. I don't know how this even ever happened. I don't know how demand director and perhaps. Others thought it was okay that we cannot allow these students very impressionable minds to go out on the football field and aim and point at threat to kill law enforcement officer, as you know, we have really been faced with a lot of death and the ranks of law enforcement for nine particular weekend. We'd we lost three dollars an officer. That was one of the most deadly the weekends that I've seen in my thirty four years. The pictures the video just just shocking. It's just too much. Yeah. Anybody that had anything to do with signing off on that needs to be done? I would even go as far as we we no longer have a ban. Okay. I know that's a lot. But we no longer have a band. I've never heard of a high school band doing anything hire new band director and started up next year. But man this. That's that is just too controversial. Keep it to school spirit, even at the very least you can't take that kind of fake gun on campus. No that was and then and then encouraging the kids directing the kids orchestrating the kids into some political fashion where they're shooting at cops. Yeah. That is. You say to that. That's an all new low that is an all new low in the war on police officers in America. And it's so far from what their intended purposes school spirit. Just keep it. You're supposed to make people smile. That's all get out there and play the fight song come on. That's it. Just play the fight song. Good jazz song, maybe some drumming instrumental just to get the boys. It's all you gotta do. Please. Make a political statement. Just do we will run high school? We will rock you. Anyway, I do like it what high school bands play like a current song. Something from Bruno Mars. That's cool. Now, I play something from Metallica? I noticed that the UT band on Saturday was doing some some white stripes. Yeah. There you go. Hey, would you like to play Trump tweets we're going to do that next Patrick's gonna join us five one two eight three six zero five nine gotta be energetic. You've gotta be funny. By the way, this story is just incredible the forest hill high school band. Decided to and this is two weeks ago in Brookhaven Mississippi to police officers were shot and killed. They were murdered again in the line of duty. And so the forest hill high school band. Decides to depict the execution of the cops two weeks later in a halftime performance at a football game. And the they had ma'am members showing well students dressed as doctors, and nurses and the head fake rifles. And they had a couple of guys dressed as police officers who were on the ground being shot bandleader needs to be fired. I haven't seen the update on that. You ought to be in jail and the the students like I understand you're just teenagers. But at some point one one of those students step up and go, I don't think this is a good idea. No, they're all idiots. Well, no, I'm sorry. I gives idiots a bad name. We're doing with guns on campus either. Well, these are fake guns cares. I mean kid got for making a finger gun. They shouldn't even allow these students in their own dangerous. Man, that's crazy vegetable racist mentos showing the execution of cops two weeks after two were killed. And again like you say first of all the band leader ought to be jailed. I don't know what on but maybe just might punch them out. What's the message though? What is the message kids? Why one of them didn't say, you know, the two weeks ago to officers skill. We probably shouldn't do this. They definitely ought to be kicked out of school. No doubt. But what are they saying here? Are they saying shooting copses, okay? Here's what they're saying. What was the performance? Why were they doing this? I don't know. I saw the video Mississippi Brookhaven Mississippi. I don't even know where that is. Where's that in relation to Jackson? West west of Jackson. And they ought to go far far west right off the edge of California into the ocean. "We were able to spend their first annual hopefully celebration of football at Forest Hills, high school. They put together this program and there must have been three hundred people turned out your mother was outstanding, got us got an ovation. I like to think standing. I'm not sure everybody was standing, but there were a few I was standing then then it's a standing ovation, sending a vision and she got a fantastic first time. She's done it. She worked for one week. She had about five pages and no, she was going to speak for twenty minutes. I mean, she had practised it. She had it cold, she thought, and she walked up and you could see all we've all been there. She takes the notes, plops them down. He says. Awesome. And she went after it. That's awesome. What was what was being talking points talking to mother's about football, kind of thank the mothers for allowing their youngsters to to play football and with the real issue of concussions and what a difficult choice that might have been form and how much he pre she talked about competitions where she got her standing ovation talked about competition. She went back to Jim when you and John wanted to go out for football when we came in seventy three and are we didn't want our few. You should play until you're a seventh grader, and you had friends that were playing and you want to make an oppression here in an Arbor. So piss begged and begged him begged. And finally, she said, go ahead and play, and then she went out to practice. She told his story to the mothers, she and Joanie, and they sat on swings. She had a pad and a pencil, and she was critiquing the coach talking about, you know, is Holly, was he instructional? Was he positive and all the different things? And it was Tom Minic who later share for Washington county DA. Friends of ours, Polly and Tom mimic the three sons. They're three sons around the team, and they allowed to play. And she mentioned that and she says, and we found out when we started playing football, what real competition was physical, competition mental and physical common com that no other sport sports are great. A lot of great sports, but none that teach the physical and competition that football does, and she said, let me ask you a question, what's wrong with competition? Do you think kids don't know what the score is? Do you think kids don't know what reading group they're in, whether the redbirds blue birds or the pig birds, you think they don't know exactly what group you don't think that they thrive on that a little bit to move from one group to the other group. Let me ask you one more time. What's wrong with competition and the place? Is this what up in a roar? And I thought to get the left hand out was left finger out wanting it was kind of a downward thrust. And you know that all to say he's. There's a reason why when your mom was on the podcast, many months ago now that it was so well received. People love hearing that mom perspective because we hear a lot of talk football, whether it's on the podcast or a press conference or wherever we hear a lot from Jack here on the podcast and some of the other events he speaks at. So you get the coach perspective, the former player perspective for both of you guys. But the mom perspective is very unique and not every mom is going to give that same. They're not as gung ho as Jackie is, but I think beforehand, but I think when they're done hearing Jackie speak, then I think there are a lot more gung ho about if they might have been on the fence about having their kid play football and to your point, there must have been a number. I put him twenty twenty-five thirty people that came up and wanted to express that tour how refreshing it was to hear a mom, talk about those things and how helpful they thought it would be in their families where mom supported the game of football. Great. Stuff from Grand Rapids. I'm coming back to Michigan. First of all. Most of our listeners are from the state of Michigan, right?.

"Jewish kid from queens which is what he was right he went to forest hill high school which is the. Same high school as the Ramones and also Simon and Garfunkel and Peter Parker spider man also all went to forest Forest, Hills And he, wasn't he didn't play the sport you know anything about the sport and didn't, come onto it until he was. In his late thirties when his kids, were playing youth soccer in Westchester county New York in new Rochelle and the, way I'd like to tell. It is if any of you have Kids who play soccer. There's, always some dad who sang if I ran this league if, I, were, the president of soccer I do this if I were if I were in charge you'll be. Like this and normally pay attention to him, but Chuck blazers the guy who actually said that and then became the guy running soccer. He he rose up from sort of, cutting orange slices in. Antioch, Capri Suns and the sideline to being one. Of the twenty four most, powerful men in olive world soccer he was the first American on executive committee and I think fifty years and he was the head of one of those, regional associations regional confederations and Allen was talking about we wasn't a heady sorry he was the number two That, the regional confederation and wielded enormous power in the sport and I think. Did, a lot of good for the sport there's a lot of, things, that, he that he helped with you help 'em Alaska its first significant television contract he before he. Was briefly the US soccer federation and played, a big role in creating the women's national team he was a supporter of women's soccer. His daughter played soccer and I think, that that helped him. Understand, how important that game was And people. Know him well tell them I talk to him as a great raconteur agreed storyteller the guy who loved the life of the party who was famous for hanging out in lanes which is classic New York sort of literary nightspot where. We're at there's a gay talese in one corner and Mohammed. Ali and the other and at at the table with Dr Ruth and dick wolf, was always Chuck blazer kinda. Guy he was he's gonna be vont and just a really big personality but what we began to learn towards. The end of his life was he. Also had a pension, for sort of putting things in his pocket that didn't belong to him Which is a common soccer thing is a famous clip of a guy one of the guys who was convicted at trial last December Brazilian he was handing, out medals. Like Brazil's, you soccer team and they were filming it and he. Was putting him on their next like that and then one kid he did he skipped him in videotape of him literally putting the metal in in his pocket like that So he's, he's in Brooklyn metropolitan detention center right now for his sense so he was convicted on five or. Six counts I think he's looking. At a maximum of he's eighty years, old he's not he's going to probably die in prison So Chuck was Chuck's thing was working out deals that were for him he came up as a. Salesman sold in this sort of thing he sold he didn't invent although he, claimed he invented, but he didn't really the smiley face button that. Was really, big in the early seventies a couple. Of guys, from Philadelphia probably invented added this it's a bit of a. Snowscape Cape who knows where it came from situation but Chuck blazers wife. Owned a button company or the family didn't so. They they produce the buttons that everyone more and he he made. A quick. Fortune that he later lost doing that And. He saw soccer an opportunity one to grow, the sport but also for himself and one of the famous things he does is he when he gets his job at CONCACAF which is this. Regional confederation is he gets opportunity to right his own planet contract which who, wouldn't like that, who wouldn't want to leave we'll leave you alone. In a, room and you write your own contract..
