"On the lady's room, so I have to run upstairs if I have to powder my nose. Made it literally by the skin of my teeth. But you see, I do Jet, said Juliet. Ah, it seems ladies rooms. The women's laboratory is always same or difficult endeavor than it is for the man. Well, it shouldn't be because the original the Ogi bathroom was just right outside our door. But they've been working on it since we got in here. So it causes a lot of trauma for us on nearly traumatised Jennifer cried traumatize not Brian Manga luch, not yours. Truly Kurdish Lee will but Before we talk about the mission. Gosh of the New York City public school system of which I'm directly impacted because have three sons who go in the five boroughs. Speaking of our last subject, all points bulletin. In fact, Senator Forgetting her name. Now I'm having a Joe Biden moment. Oh, no. She was very important in the cabin or hearings, in fact, gave that speech Sound US Senator of Maine. She's running for reelection and a very contested race. Female. She's been there almost as long. It's Nancy Pelosi has been a Congress woman in California but anyway Susan Collins, Susan Collins, thank you, she has reported. That main has issued an all points bulletin toe. All of it's police departments because they are hunting a woman who was leaving dog poop in Trump supporters mailbox l How nice this is exactly what you were talking about, Jett said. We're acting like animals. Hey, support. How do you like attacking us for supporting who we like, But you can imagine that. Maybe that's one of the reasons people would move to Maine to say Wow and those shootings up there chasing somebody used pop in dog poop, and they don't like Boxes because they don't like jumpers, But I don't support that behavior. Think it's disgusting? And it's not American Doctor pal. She remember shed got to get the kids into schools. This is important for their mental health. And obviously for their learning this from a guy I went to Regis High School, the elite Jesuit High school in all of New York City. More elite in the high school, I went to Brooklyn Prep of Fordham Prep or even savior downtown. Ah, but everybody around the country has chosen their own route to go with this With the public school system. I noticed the Catholic schools. They have the in school classroom. So far so good. No reported Corona virus outbreaks. The Jewish schools, of which Jennifer crowd did not go to I guess a calm day schools. Ah, they appear to have mostly in school teaching activities with students in place. But the public schools have all chosen their own route in our public school system, the largest in the nation, you would figure with the blahs you at the helm and his henchman Carranza. Again has to retool the announcement early today, his that in school teaching Has been delayed again for the second time. It's Yeah, this is Ah, I can't even imagine I talked to my friend Gina, who lives downtown with her three young boys. In elementary school and one going into high school and she is so distraught. She's just like and she says. I feel bad, even complaining because she's a stay at home, Mom, so she has the ability to help school her kids. She's like, but this is just it's a nightmare is an absolute nightmare for her and for everybody else. So here's the deal. No more classroom teaching on September 21st as it was supposed to start. Um, they've delayed classroom teaching for all kids above pre K, which is our kids. Supposedly it'll gear back up Monday for the little ones for the little little kindergartners Pre K. Now for K through five. It's September 29th and for middle school and high school, it's October 1st. But here's the thing. And Gino was saying this. The in school there in person in school was only like a couple of days a week, So you still had to deal with three days of trying to figure out what you were going to with your kids. And how to school him at home. I mean, it's still very inconsistent. It's still very unpredictable is his start. Stop, Start! Stop! Start stop! So typical of the blotch here with everything the homeless situation in there. Emotionally disturbed person situation, the crime situation and now getting the kids back in a public school. Now, think about months months they've had to work on a plan. And show to test it out. They haven't done it. So now it's start. Stop! Start. Stop! Start stop, which is going to eventually lead if this continues to more people leaving the city Because, remember what was it baloney. Your county executive's people own estimates that there's about 500,000 New Yorkers. Now I think that's a bit on the high side. But 500,000 folks who normally would be residing in New York City after Labor Day who have decided instead of Ah, just spending the summer out in Suffolk. They're going to spend the rest of the time this year and Suffolk and they already enrolled there. Kids in schools. This is gonna lead to other people saying he can't even get a schedule right in your public school system. You're all over the map. It's going to lead to a boost in parochial school enrollment. Even if you pay in, like $10,000 tuition arm or which obviously, you don't have to pay the public schools because they're saying no. Send your kid here will be in school unless they're problem should develop. Same thing I think for the Jewish Day schools, same thing for some parochial schools, not charter schools. They've decided to go all online kids is staying home. They're not coming into school, but you see, at least they haven't everywhere and you're going for it, and that's it. But nobody talks about this and idea with the kids. I'm not talking about my son's because they have a distinct advantage because they have the technology. They have people at home with them. Let's talk about kids in the projects kids in the poorer neighborhoods. Many of them are not online, even if they have the online capability because they weren't paying attention when they were in school. This is a perfect reason not to pay attention because you don't have to. Imagine you living in a dysfunctional household. You go outside, You're not on your laptop. And guess who's there waiting for you to indoctrinate you in the gang culture all the gang bangers because obviously it's not going to do And say, Hey, you know, hang with us man will teach you what it's like to be a blood or a crip or any other gang That happens to be significant in that area. And also you're gonna have parents who just because they are so strapped for cash. They have to make money. They're going to say you know what? I'm going to take the risk that I'm gonna let my child who is very young, Take care of themselves throughout the day and just pray to God that it works out, Okay? And you're definitely going to have parents who feel that way now, remember years ago. When homeschooling came in vogue, and it was mostly by the evangelicals and the very religious because they didn't trust sending the kids the public schools. They didn't want them to be exposed to what you get exposed to in a public school. A lot of us. We chuckled. We laughed. Ha ha ha! Wow, Homeschooling you keeping the kid out of the entire world? You know, it's so insular, so parochial, You're going to be damaging the child. Is that what we're doing here? I mean, think of it. This is a form of home schooling in which you don't have the teacher, which would only maybe a parent or a relative. At home doing the home schooling. But you have a teacher that it's supposed to be connected to You Look at the New York Post front page. It's all devoted to this save our kids We need in person School in New York City. Remote learning has been a disaster, and that's that's the whole point. These air parents that are being forced into having home schooling. That may not be very good at teaching.

Look and say he's had a top 40 album and every decade since the sixties, right? That's an amazing feat. His latest album. Rough and rowdy ways debuted at number two this week. 53,000 copies sold. Now. He had eight albums in the Top 40 in the sixties Fortin albums in the seventies seven in the eighties. Four in the 97 in the 2000 put nine albums in the top 40 in the tens and now one in the twenties. Every decade since the sixties, Amazing number one albums, or at least in the top 40. Obviously, her another farewell tour is like number three or number four. I forget which one Um, I like to keep Things pretty up and happy in the morning with every all the crap going on. But This is this is just too sad. There's a picture on the cover of the New York Post this morning. Of the 17 year old kid who just graduated high school. And I had a little I guess a little get together on Sunday evening. And they say This is not a street kid. This is not the skin was the captain of his basketball team going to college. Not that that would make a difference because I don't want anything to happen to any child. You don't want to have in anybody, but I'm just saying he he wasn't involved in It in any of that kind of thing. We're sometimes that happens in these neighborhoods and this kid was just everybody said he was great. It was an athlete. He was a leader. They loved him a charming kid. Who's going to college in California, West Hills. He actually did his freshman year at Fordham Prep, and then he switched over to James Monroe High School. But he got shot in the next Sunday night. And the people who knew and they had like I think they had a tribute to him upside the head like 200 people to 50 show up near his home in the Bronx. But it's just a sad situation. Brandon Henrik, 17 years old at a birthday party with his friends, last words he ever said Call my mom. Does it. You see it? It's worse. It's getting worse every weekend. Now, every week. "One part of it with us. You're listening right now. East coast central time zone. Rocky Mountain west coast, west coast, damn your early, but you've read making a thanksgiving one is it to the supermarket is it per chance to the liquor store wherever you may be heading out. Could it be too? This is a staple. And I guess I tweet from my buddy tape. Brandon Tierney rooting for Xavier high school with a Turkey bowl showdown today against Fordham prep now, I have a quasi affinity for him. As a matter of fact, my high school used to play both Xavier and Fordham. I'm a Westchester county geared, but we played an HSA, which the Catholic high school sports association and played against city schools, both Fordham in the Bronx and debut, which is in Manhattan, which is bts, alma mater. We were not a football program. We basketball only side played both at Fordham prep and Ed Xavier played both of those two high schools at both routes to icicles Plato's two teams to we never had a football rivalry. But the thanksgiving football rivalries are great. If you have one maybe I hadn't backout, maybe that's why you're up at nine twenty five eight twenty five seven twenty five wherever you are an early thanksgiving game on the high school level is nominal. I love to high school rivalries. But I'll tell you one thing that's weird. And again, I wasn't as big a highschool fan growing up when I was in high school because we don't have ice. Ours was a somewhat smaller Catholic high school in Westchester county. Just outside of New York City. We don't have football never add football. I still don't take that for my school. Never did basketball baseball soccer. We had all the other sports. We have football programs tied wasn't tease you into football. When I was in high school got more into it. And. Became a high school devil day. When I got married had a daughter. She became a high school athlete, and we live shoot you can walk. It's funny thing about where I live you can walk to where my daughter went to high school in about a half a mile, maybe three quarters, say six tenths of whatever. By the way. The crow flies the way the neighborhoods just lay themselves out you need to drive out of a neighborhood around enabling comeback takes about two and a half miles to get that high school by car you can walk in about six tenths of got to enable heading down a path and across the backfield. You can be on the high school property rather damn quickly. But my daughter's high school plays a. Thanksgiving Day game, they obeyed Turkey day rivalry and a couple of years ago. It was just weird. Data phenomenal high school football season. I think it was when my daughter was a freshman. And they ran a table when undefeated during the regular season made the group five playoffs. Top fourteen make it so they to send me final game. Then they won the state championship which in New Jersey, they have four state champions in football. I'd sit in basketball, they have the state championship. Then they have the tournament of champions and the different levels of sides of schools all play against each other and areas. One true overall state champion if you win your area of New Jersey, you can call yourself champion, but there's a state champion, and it's the real state champions who wins the tournament of champions in football. They stop if you win your section. That's it. Your state champion. They have south jersey, Central Jersey, north jersey, a and north jersey be because there's a dense population more. So in north jersey in south jersey, we're down in south jersey. So they've won Bissau jersey state championship and they did so on the Saturday before thanksgiving. They had finished up. Their entire season before thanksgiving ever rolled around. So they had one more game to play after they've already won the state championship game that really means nothing other than bragging rights, and it's a team two towns over and damn if they loose and the DNA of playing shawnee high school was six and five on the season or something like that. Five hundred team. And my daughter's is school Turkey was twelve hundred zero automated state champions and they lost on thanksgiving 'cause they had already. All celebrate they'd already achieved everything they needed to achieve but Thanksgiving Day, high school showdowns can be great. Have you had to one? Enjoy yourself. You're not he's going to have an hour left. The hang. But where you go out head to the game. Getting the kitchen start cooking a bird, whatever else. NFL, talk and talk. MLB an air. There have been years where there's been a key free agent signing on the day after thanksgiving thanksgiving everybody takes a day off. If you're a major league baseball off season, you're not gonna go and try and recruit negotiate with an agent for a free agent player. But we may see something tomorrow. Could it be someone as big as Manny Machado or Bryce Harper? Maybe I'll give me a baseball thoughts during the last thirty minutes. I will certainly do it on the phones which you if you check in eight five five two one two four CBS. Join amac camping our to play wide open phones. Get on my lines. We'll hitch up after late at CBS sports update. Peter schwartz. Sports play. Jody NFL tripleheader on tap on this Thanksgiving Day to kick off week twelve. I.
