"Did you make the guys at the worksite your fellow construction workers laugh? Well, this is an interesting point that I was talking to Dr. Drew about the other day. So I was, I went to New York, I did gutfeld show, and then I interviewed him for my podcast. And when we're done, gutfeld kept writing me these emails saying, oh man, the things you said, so interesting. They stuck with me. You've changed the way I thought about X, Y, or Z, and he was then telling that to drew when they went out to dinner a week later. And I was saying to drew, guys like you guys like Dr. Drew, guys like gutfeld. They appreciate me because they can appreciate what I do. The guys on the construction site, the guys from the neighborhood, the guys on my football team, they were like, shut up, no one cares, sit down, you know, because they couldn't intellectually, it was like a dog and this is going to sound self serving. But a dog doesn't know the difference between kibble and fillet mignon. It just knows that it's just food. It may prefer the kibble. It may prefer Salisbury steak. Over fillet mignon. You know what I'm saying? And I grew up that that was ever when I grew up with was that way. So later on, I run into guys like you, and you go, oh, Adam, how great must have been to be one of your classmates or friends or you could regale us with stories on the construction site, not that would have been young Dennis prager would have enjoyed that. "Meanwhile you look at the Premier League this weekend without the big ties on Sundays and it Chelsea taking on spurs. Chelsea have been excellent against their London rivals over recent meetings. Robot, this is producer Mike who's a big spurs fan who felt that we didn't give him enough love after their win against Southampton. And it's now forcing spurs. His neck. Well, I suppose did okay, I guess Southampton they went one little down, of course, and then they came back and played some excellent football. And last season and sono Conte was scared of Chelsea. Going back to his old club, he knew that the side couldn't play how he wanted them to play. They put in a couple of really poor performances, but you need something. I think they're going to be much better in this game against Chelsea. They played really well against Southampton. They could have said at the forefront of most of the good stuff that was played down that right hand side Kane and son of Odin score linked up quite well. This is going to be a tight game because Chelsea, I don't think we're outstanding against Everton. Good result, but not outstanding. Tight game. You could argue you can inspire one of the best performances we saw. The opening weekend. How much do we read into that going into this time? A lot. I think you

Remembering Vin Skully, The Voice of the Game

"Then Scotty, who is that voice for you when you were a young boy in New York listening to the baseball? Well, when I was a young boy in New York, we didn't have baseball, but I did have network football on the radio. One of the voices that certainly mesmerized me because of his vocabulary and the richness of the tone was Ted Hughes, I remember Ted Hughes doing a football game and we all know about the secondary, but Ted using would describe the football game and he would talk about the tertiary. And that knocked me for a loop.

"Now, my question is, if they had a team that played a competitive schedule, which they normally do every year. And they played well enough to make the playoffs, what is it about being an independent that could preclude them from winning the championship? It seems to me whether you're an independent or you're in a conference. Once you make the playoffs, which they've done twice so far, you have a chance to win it. If you have a good enough team, regardless of your independence status, when our Tim, your rationale is spot on, and I think you think about just since 2012, they've been in contention three times. Legitimately had played for the title and lost by 28 to Alabama and then they were in the playoff two other times. Ultimately, I think they can get to the playoffs. I just don't think they can win in the playoff. And why can't they win? Because I think recruiting has hurt them a little bit. Now, I know, as I say that, somebody will counter and saying, well, nobody's doing better than Notre-Dame and recruiting this year. That is correct. Is that if that can be sustainable, then the comment I made a few minutes ago would no longer be operative. And the question is, can Marcus Freeman change the narrative? Can he get Notre-Dame to a place that they have not been really in 30 years? So I don't know what to say. I think he's capable of giving it a run, but so was Brian Kelly, and he couldn't do it. Okay. I agree with you. And you and I couldn't agree more on that. I don't think any Notre-Dame fan thinks that they can get anywhere in the playoffs unless they have a strong roster because of good recruiting. And if they turn that corner, certainly they can do it. So I guess what you're saying is you kind of agree with me that independence really has nothing to do with it. It's a matter of whether you can build a good football team regardless of your status and independent. But Tim, yeah, listen, this is a conversation that their landmines all over it, but I would argue that in a conference they would be in a better position than if you asked me to cite a precedent there. I don't think I'd be able to accept to say that Texas has concluded in Oklahoma has concluded they need the affiliation with the SEC from a recruiting standpoint. And I tend to agree. That's why they're in here. Oklahoma in many ways is similar to Notre-Dame. I mean, they have been on the same level, but they just can't get over it. Now, 5 years from now, ten years from now, we may the theory I have maybe shot or shattered. But I think Notre-Dame has to try to do something else. Marcus Freeman is a phenomenal recruiter. We don't know whether he can coach a lick. I'm just being very honest. I have no idea. And agreed. I hope he can. He's an amazing guy. And in the short period of time, I've been around him. Hey, thank you very much for the call. A rational conversation. That's pretty unusual here. Let's talk to Nate in Gettysburg, PA, Gettysburg are really a popular city for many of our southern listeners. Hey, Paul, how are you doing? We're doing great. How are you? I'm doing quite well up here in Penn State and our name territory, but I'm actually a big gator fan and I'm just calling to see what you thought about them coming up this year with their new coach and the recruiting and seeing if we had a chance against Utah and possibly getting into. Oh man, you're going to put me in an awkward spot here to give you an honest answer. I don't think ten wins is doable. I understand the attitude and I understand the excitement, I don't think the Utah is a game that's going the gator's way and I think it then comes down to which games early on will go to gator's way to try to avoid a dismal start. Understood understood. I was just wanting to see what do you think about the 2023 recruiting coming up. It looks like they're right outside the top ten right now. It's good. It really is. And I think it has to be better though. And I say that not in a means being critical, but to compete with the schools they're trying to hang with, and that's obvious who they are. You have to be really inside that top 5 or 6. Can they get there, maybe? Napier's had a, you know, it doesn't matter where you are today. It matters how you close to steal a cliche that has been uttered many, many times before.

Was Paul Newman Bi-Sexual?

"That led into my fascination with Paul Newman. I've always had a theory. The guy married Joanne Woodward who I think is plain Jane. This guy was the most beautiful man in Hollywood history, perhaps. He married plain Jane, and he was with us since they were studying acting in the city, like very young. Doesn't make any sense to me. And then the guy goes on to teach Tom Cruise how to drive race cars and I'm like, oh, this seems like a little bit of a may December romance to me. Then he makes salad dressing in popcorn. Come on. Macho men don't think of salad dressing recipes and the wrong with salad and popcorn. I just don't think most men think about their face on those products, but God bless you made millions and he gave it away. Good, good, good man. So I started looking into Paul Newman, and I always go to these gay sites because the gays know the gays know. And there's a bunch of stuff on this site. I gave to the patrons, and I'm going to talk about Paul Newman possibly being gay next week. I think it's a crazy story. I think people will be interested. But this is what I read on this gay site. During the making of cat on a hot tin roof, whole Newman, if you've seen the movie plays a repressed homosexual by the name of brick. James Dean was supposed to be lined up for that role, but he died in a car crash before production began, so it went to Newman. Now, in the film version, the direct homosexual references were taken out from the Tennessee Williams script in order to satisfy the current production codes, if you will. So the film script kind of dances around the reasons why brick and cat played by the gorgeous Elizabeth Taylor hadn't slept together in years. But the mention of the suicide of bricks close football chum skipper was kept in. Close football chump. That's the way things were mentioned back in the day if you want to talk about gay. He's my football chum. You know, oh, really? At one point, Paul Newman told Tennessee Williams. The role of brick is perfect for me. All my life I've been split into two different directions. One side of me wants to live life with my gay football buddy skipper. The other side is tempted to fuck the living shit at a Maggie the cat and be their heterosexual stud most of my fans want me to be. Um.

If I told you, Trey, you can watch football, but you can't hold on to your remote control. Could you do it? Well, Paul, I could, and I'll tell you why, 'cause I got a big screen TV in the middle in two 35 inch TV. But I can tell you what. There's not a chance in the world, I could watch football on a Saturday afternoon or Saturday night without flipping channel. And I mean, I'm watching games, I don't know anything about, but we're all watching the same thing and watching the scores. And I remember last year, I was watching the end of a really good SEC game, and then I saw that NC state was about to be Clemson. I mean, I raced over there, then I raced back to the SEC. And back in the day, we used to stack the TVs together. That's a little more difficult to do. In today's world. But Trey is old school, so I'm glad he can still do the three schools. The three TVs. James Hahn Blasts New PGA Tour Schedule

"James Hahn on Twitter are James James, I just follow James like a week ago. We'll disclosure. I love James Hahn on Twitter. He tweeted today. He tweeted today. Take a look at the new PGA Tour schedule and you'll understand why players are upset. Vegas to Japan. To South Carolina to Bermuda to Mexico. He says, for the viewers, it's a flick of a remote. For us, it's 20 hour travel days and tens of thousands of dollars in expenses. That tweet already has 1400 likes in 25, 30 minutes, and then he follows it up by saying, to himself, we should be playing in major cities, places where they have an NFL football team, not Bermuda and Puerto Rico. Us little guys have feelings too. All right? He has caught a ton of shit for these tweets, but he's right. But he is right. Listen to that. Listen to that, that 6 week, that's what 5 weeks Vegas to Japan to South Carolina to Bermuda to Mexico. Vegas to Japan? Yeah, so to South Carolina. So they're going to be the little guys are going to want to play Vegas because it's really in the season because it's a wraparound. So they want to get off to a decent start. If they get into Japan, they're 100% going because they're pretty sure it doesn't have a cut. There's no way they're going to have an event in Japan with no cuts. So 1000% they're going. And then I guess I guess presumably. You take that off, I would guess. Where are they playing? I didn't even see where they're playing. But they're playing somewhere. Like the golf course. It doesn't matter. The only set is ridiculous, though. But I'm like, that's got to be a new event, 'cause the only South Carolina I know is Hilton head that they play, but I think it's chattahoochee or chat, chat to Jesse or, oh yeah. That's something like that over there. It's really cool. But yeah, that's not an easy travel. Well, you can't even do that. Your host. You're totally host if you try that. I don't know what I mean. This is where the play. Basically what he's saying for the people in the comments yelling at clouds is like the big guys, they're probably getting their own way paid to all that shit. The Japanese event, the big guys are probably getting older stuff paid for. I would guess all of it. Maybe they can pay appearance feed money over there. I don't really know. But the little guys have to play all those and what he's saying is it's going to cost him 30, not 30, but probably 20 grand to do all those. Ish,

It's Sickening How Fragile Black People Are Over Racism

"Sickening to me is saddening to me that black people have been reduced to being the faberge eggs of society. You can't do nothing. You can own a football team. And you hire a coach based on marriage. Can he win you a championship or not? And that coach happened to not be black. They cried racism racism racism. They paying these black quarterbacks. $200 million contracts, but because they don't have a head coach that's black, they racist. Can somebody can somebody explain this to me? The salary cap goes to 80% black players. They're paying hundreds of millions of dollars to black players on the team. And because they don't hire a black coach who makes less money than the black players, then the whole league is racist. If you ask me, white people are disproportionately underrepresented in the NFL. They ain't out here whining and crying. Show me a defensive back that's white that make more money than black defensive backs.

"I got to ask you about you've Aldi, but I want to preface this by saying you're an Abbott guy. I'm an avid guy, the governor is going to win handily. Beto is not the answer for protection. I don't know how many questions. You got to beat him like three times and then maybe he'll go away, but you've all the seared into people's mind. 400 law enforcement officers. You are yourself. Law enforcement officer. What happened? You know, it was a, it was a catastrophe. The things that make good law enforcement are good training, good recruitment, good supervision, well funded law enforcement. They had none of that and Yuval. If you picture everything that goes wrong, it's an embarrassment to the law enforcement community. A humiliation and it's a tragedy of tragedies. And we are going to do everything we can to make sure that that never, ever happens again now. I'm just telling you, we can make those schools. We can lock them up. We can make them prisons. And someone will stand across the street and shoot with a rifle into the playground. They'll run to the bus, jump on the bus, they'll go to the football games. There's always ways people can do things. But our job is to make it as tough a target as possible to have as good and well trained school, personnel to deal with it, and to make sure that we got law enforcement that knows how to deal with that. When I was first became a cop, the deal was, if you had an active shooter, you secured the perimeter, and then you waited for S.W.A.T.. That was the job. That's not the way it's been sent Columbine. These officers dealt with it like it was pre Columbine. They did not go in. I have no idea why. If you and I had been there with no law enforcement training, we'd have been busting out the wind to doing something. But those officers, there's a time when as an officer, you know, you go in and you may be shot as the first one going in, you may be shot as a second one going in, but that third one or whatever is going to take out that shooter and save those children. That's what should have happened, and there is no excuse at all.

But I didn't feel like I was using my voice in the way that I wanted to be using my voice. It was a very limiting job for someone like me who has a lot to say. But in the meantime, yeah, I couldn't express a lot of the things I wanted to express because I didn't want to bring any controversy to the network or to the show.

Was Michele Tafoya 'Cancelled'? She Explains

"With us right now is somebody that I think I watched for over a decade. My entire life on Sunday Night football and I think she was somewhere before some night football. And with us as Michelle tafoya, host of sideline sanity podcast and formally with NBC's Sunday Night football, sideline reporter, Michelle, welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Thank you for having me. I appreciate it. Of course, and so tell us about your story. You were canceled in some way, shape or form. I think it'd be really curious for our audience to learn about it. Well, you know what, I really wasn't. And some people are under the assumption that I was fired from NBC or let go or no, I had given my notice to NBC back in 2018 because I wanted to start a podcast, believe it or not. A lot of people can't believe that because the gig on something like football was amazing. Plus I got to cover the Olympics. It was all incredible. But I didn't feel like I was using my voice in the way that I wanted to be using my voice. It was a very limiting job for someone like me who has a lot to say. And so while I gave my notice in 2018, 2019 was supposed to be my final year, then they said, could you just get us through the Super Bowl in a couple? So I stayed the extra COVID year and then the following season to get them through this Los Angeles Super Bowl as they put it and it was a joy. Will Britney Griner Develop a New Love for America?

"I wanted to talk about a developing news story surrounding a young woman by the name of Brittany griner. You probably know her from the WNBA, although I don't know if anybody watches the WNBA. Just jokes, just jokes. These are fantastic women. But Britney griner was actually detained while in Russia. On February 17th for allegedly carrying a marijuana concentrate in her luggage. Now, I was familiar with Brittany griner, not through her work with the WNBA, but because she was dedicated to protesting America, mainly in the name of Black Lives Matter, Brittany griner said that she would be protesting during the national anthem all season for the W and BA. We see this in the form of kneeling during the national anthem, not pledging to the flag, not wanting to show any allegiance or pride for one's country. And many WNBA players followed suit with her. We saw the NBA also participate. We saw football participate virtually every sport. It was starting to be politicized in taking a stance in support of Black Lives Matter. Of course we got many athletes who decided to step outside of that idea. Joshua Jonathan Isaac from the Orlando Magic was one of the many or should I say few, really, who decided to stand during the national anthem and not protest this country. But Brittany griner has fallen into misfortune. She was in Russia. She got detained at an airport for apparently having these marijuana cartridges in her suitcase. And has now been detained there for over 100 days. And suddenly, America is looking real good to Britney kreiner as you might imagine.

The Revisionist's Uphill Battle With James Rosen

"Let's go back to this question of comparability for a second. We have every single week lord Conrad black is with us. He's the former champion of the hottinger group, a massive newspaper mogul. And a biographer of Richard Nixon biographer of Nixon of FDR, he's written a book on president Trump as well. A man who very keenly as a Canadian as a member of the House of lords follows American football politics very closely. And he has said express verbis on this show that when it comes to the water great break in, there is, as you just said, zero crime committed the provable any crime committed by president Nixon. As a result, it seems to me that your job of being a revisionist, that's an uphill battle because that's not the conventional wisdom. Well, the revisionist always faces an uphill battle because you're always tackling a narrative that is to some extent entrenched. But that's all right. We welcome that kind of thing. It makes for good controversy and of course for sales. In Nixon's case, where the where the cover up of the Watergate break in and operation and wiretapping operation is concerned, he himself admitted to the British interviewer David Frost in the series of televised interviews that aired in 1977 a few years after Nixon had resigned him in pardon. The former president himself acknowledged that he had taken part in a cover up. That he had failed to serve as the chief executor of the laws, but instead was trying to process the Watergate case through the prism of his two closest aides, HR haldeman, the chief of staff, and John ehrlichman, the domestic policy aide, both of whom wound up going to prison. And he said, I guess a reasonable person could call that a cover up. So he effectively admitted criminal complicity in the cover up.

The Press Only Understands College Educated Democrats

"So that's one point. Another one is that the appeal is to the college educated Democrat. Is that correct? And this is profound because this is what takes the old issue of liberal versus conservative bias out of the equation that so beyond that now to a cultural reflection. And by that Dennis, what I mean and there's a 2018 study by the Pew Research organization. There's only one group of Americans left who say the press understands them understands their way of life. And that's fellow college educated Democrats. If you're a Democrat with a high school degree only, you told pew, the press doesn't understand me. Independent voters, whether they have a degree in college or high school, the press doesn't understand me. And of call for all Republicans, the press doesn't understand. This is the problem. Journalism has now turned itself into a narrow slice of college educated Democrats who know how to tell stories for fellow college educated Democrats. Hence why most of their stories are about global warming or why it's okay to take a knee at a football game if you're a player. Or why everybody should be attuned to the January 6th hearings.

"I highly and i mean i highly recommend you watch the next monday night. Football games with the detroit. Lions go and play the green bay packers in lambofield. Watch it and see and just turn over to espn two. It is it might be i routinely now for monday night football it just might be because peyton and eli north other debts they may be tremendous and you let it was. It was great to what. I was thoroughly entertained. And i know a lot of people were thoroughly entertained. Based on the durant based off their reactions on social media. People have talked to and you know what the ratings came in. I want to see what the ratings were light to. So i'd social media. The ratings were posted between the ravens. And the ratings monday night. Football and it totaled a whopping fifteen point two nine million viewers making it. The most watched and monday night football game week one since two thousand thirteen. Now the manning cast. I wanted to see what that was like. Well the main cast did not disappoint. The man cast drew over eight hundred thousand viewers on. Espn two. now that's that so called a very small accomplishment but it works and. I think i've actually espionage i know but i think. Espn found something special with peyton and eli on monday night. Football broadcast peyton manning and eli began their new monday night football career and they didn't disappoint. They shocked and you know what some early struggles here and there. It wasn't pretty at first. But i thought it definitely benefited for having such a wild finish of the ravens game that they were able to break down all the plays and it was great. It was great for me to watch peyton manning and eli manning bringing superstars. Nfl superstar life. Travis kelsey like ray lewis like russell wilson. I think travis kelsey came in the third quarter. I didn't see traps kelsey. But i watched russell wilson and overtime and he was locked in to talking about football there talking about rules and it was just. It was great for the football junkie. And i tune in about third quarter. But i was able to catch. Russell wilson peyton manning and manning three of the greatest quarterbacks of this generation of this generation people to break them down and you know just break the game of football down and out to be honest with you after a while. It was not enough. It wasn't enough. I needed to have more i was. I was like a kid. Like you know what i need it. I need more of it and after the game was overplayed. That might be my go-to now. That might be my go-to now when it comes to monday night football and you know what the their original cast of steve. Levy brian greasy. I like brian griese. He's underrated he bring to a different element to the game. Then he brings. Different is to louis riddick because onto too but you know what i might have to stick with peyton and eli and that might be the broadcast that no one thought they needed. But they're going to get right now because that was just a great broadcast my opinion. And you know what russell wilson with us and that he was so loose and was obviously enjoying talking football with paid me back to a one of the greatest if not two of the greatest football minds of this generation and. I don't think i've ever seen wilson just having fun fun. Like he was during his parents. Now i know his wife Forgetting her name but she was at the met gala and she was rocking. The putrid green the bright green of russell's three Pain how to super funny comment. Because she was wearing one of the super bowl rings and he was like well. You know that that was supposed to be my super bowl ring but you know we. We were able to get it. But i would love that ring back. If you know what. I mean but still corbeil horrible impersonation peyton manning but still it was just so great and you know what i saw. Thought rumblings of this off season like i remember espn posted. Oh yeah we're bringing in payton peyton. Eli in for a monday night. Football manning cast. And you know. I was like. I'm not sure about this. The other both funny..

"Because it's their job. It's their livelihood and yet they're grown men to people get college football. They got kids plan that game. Nineteen twenty twenty one year old plane. That game plan called football in the pros in the nfl. Who talked about grown men. We're talking about men who have multiple kids. We're talking about men who have families they need to feed. This is their livelihood. This is how they put food on their table. That's how hungry they are. They need to stay in this league to provide for their families. We're talking about guys who are in their mid forties. We're talking about guys who are in the midfield forties been through a lot played a lot more football than these college kids. Have this argument and this ideology that you know. Nfl even the worst nfl team. Like the houston texans or the detroit lights. They would lose and they would lose badly to the best college football team like alabama or georgia. Now it's not because they work on they're craft and it's their job. Their job is to play. Nfl football their job is to play football interest. That ideology is just so farfetched but back to my right back to my rant on the minnesota vikings and back to my reasons why the minnesota vikings cannot go into just imagine. Be back in our lives and it's kind of like okay week one of the nfl's in the books and we're getting into the nitty gritty and we're getting into the good stuff we're getting into week two and were getting into that flow of things. You know what i mean. It's kind of like when you take long qaeda's from something you've been doing or you're taking a vacation you get back to reality. It's like it's like that where getting back into the the reality. were back to reality. And we're getting back into the flow of things. Can you know when you have wrote a bike in a while. And it's kinda like you're back on the bike. It's been a while no for me. It's been quite some time to dive. Rode a bike. But still you get on. The bike was like a little wobbly instead of being like. Oh i don't know if you're going to have to fall down a couple of times. Just it just happened but you know let you get back up and you start the pedal to start going you start just cruising down the street and you're trying not to fall but then outside you fall then get back up again. It's kind of like that. We're getting our footing back together or getting our balancing. We're just we're getting back together and it's like. Oh yeah that muscle memory kicks in and muscle. Memory is everything that muscle memory kicks in. And it's kind of like you know you get back into flow of things and it's gonna take a while you're gonna fall down three or four times but you're gonna you're gonna get back to it and you're going to realize oh. Hey this do this and this all coming back to me that what it's like for the nfl the nfl and their fans there. Oh yeah. I'm getting used to it. I'm getting used to sit down on the count on saturday and sunday especially and watching seven hours of football all day sunday. And we're getting back to all right so in previous segment. Game was great that monday night. Game between the the las vegas rages and the baltimore ravens. That was a great finish. That was a great game. H-honestly i i took the ravens. I thought it was going to be a totally different name but shallow to the writers. Shout to the raiders. Opening up vegas and opening nepalese stadium for fans and all. I gotta say is wow. I don't know if you guys watch that game. Hope you probably did. You guys are being. He loved monday night. Football just like me. But when i was watching that game all i could think about. I couldn't think about the game. I couldn't think about how the ravens were running covered to exceed covered zero all throughout the fourth quarter and just messing up on defense and led. Derek carr endearing waller. We'll just run wild. But all i could think about during that game is a legion stadium. Wow that place. I might have to. You know what. I knew a lot of people when they were watching that game. Especially especially on the west coast especially all those raider fans who didn't move to vegas. Everybody probably said at one point in time. I gotta get to that place. Got to get there because a legion stadium. Looked let it it. It just looked out there. Looks like everybody was having a great time. you know. what if you're on the west coast. Go get to allegiance stadium. I i'm trying get there because it looks dislike a party. It looks lit up there. Mark davis mark davis. I did good. You did good and you know what nobody really care about the football on the field during the stand. It looked like a huge party and sleep. I gotta get there. I gotta get to the stadium eight sap. I just looks like a fun. Cool exciting environment that just a. It's it's such a great town vegas. It's a great town. And i'm glad we have. Nfl team there but just compared to last year and this year. That stadium looked so lit. When you have fans in the stands and you know what it's so great to have fans in the stands back in felt football games back in real life but it just makes such a big difference when you have fans in the stands compared to cardboard..

"Institution. He deserves the utmost respect from the trojan family during this tradition. Whoa this is crazy. This is crazy now. We had speculation that. Usc was just the pitiful performance against stanford and shouted stanford showed to the stanford cardinal for taking that performance. They had against kansas state and turn it into a dominant performance against usc. Usc is not a bad football team. You was ranked fourteenth in the nation for a reason but this is this is crazy. They basically fired their coach after the first game second game. Excuse me second game. I league conference game now. The statement goes on as a committed to upon my arrival at usc during the past two offseason. We provided every resource necessary for football program to complete for championships. The added resources to -nificant increased expectations for our team's performance. And it's already evident that despite the enhancement. Those expectations would not be met without a change of leadership. Whoa this is a major bomb. A major the ball. That was just dropped on you. See on pac twelve ho. This could change everything regarding usc. And the pac twelve. If you seem to dump their head coach one of the programs who supposedly one of the great all-time football programs just dump their head coach after two games two games. We obsolete i. I want to say i didn't take coming but i kind of saw it coming but i didn't expect it to come. This early statement also goes on. This season is just getting started and we have the opportunity to really do something special with his team this program. I'm confident that our intern head coach dante williams gives us a higher probability for success. The remainder of the season dante's experience and well respected coach. Who was renowned for his own ability to philip relations with student athletes and i appreciate his willingness to take on this challenge with ten games left. We still have control of our own destiny. In the pac twelve and with a tremendously talented group of student athletes and complete faith in phenomenal assistant coaches and supporting staff in the john mccain senator. I believe that we can win. That statement for athletic director. Mike boehm of usc. Well my you know what you know what i say to this. You know what. I say to this statement here about five years tuli here about five years too late now. We all know that college football especially in the pac twelve pack twelve college. Football is better when us's dominant because when usc is dominant the pac twelve is more dominant. It just as much as i don't like usc as much as i love to see usc lose usc makes the pac twelve and makes coach football a better place because they provide that billing they provide that la atmosphere that la mantra ellie ideology and usc in my opinion is the only team who can get big time recruits from california from texas from georgia from all these hotbeds of recruiting and compete with the sec. Compete with the acc. You're not gonna have teams like washington. You're not going to have teams like stanford who are truly great programs. You're not gonna have those teams be as dominant and represent the pac twelve like they should like. Usc would if they are dumbed. We've seen this plenty of times. The pac twelve. They are more dominant when usc is a bat. And when us's not a factor the pac twelve just isn't a factor too simple as simple as that. That's major major news..

Stop it stop it that type of derogatory that type of just ridiculous behaviour online and on social media should be nowhere near where no were part of this game there. It just crazy your fantasy. Football team is not that important. it's football it's entertainment at the end of the day and people who slander players in cheer for injuries and players in their families on social media based on a poor performance or because they sustained an injury and cost you a football game. It's week bro. it's wake and there's no room for that. There's no room for that type of behavior in the nfl and in sports in general and just didn't life there just is no room for that so stop it. "Day. Football every play every series. They're always ends up with a collision people. Just love to see that. Just love calamity. People just love calamity and they love chaos if we took the calamity and we took the chaos out of football and out of these nascar races in these horror films and these action filled. Nobody would watch. Nobody's gonna watch flag football. Nobody wants to watch flag football. Because there's chaos. There's no violence there's no hidden. Football is one of the craziest sports ever when it comes to every play and what. They violent collision on every single play. You're going to get a violent collision and you'll see that is no way in how any other sports act. No other support acts like football and it's honestly a blessing and a curse because everybody loves to see the violent collisions. Everybody loves to see the calamity. Everybody loves the chaos of football tackle football. But you know what without that chaos no one can watch without people violently hitting each other. No one's gonna watch and you go. It's a dying sport. It really is because there's going to be a choice that people are going to have to make and starts at the young age. Do i have my kids play football. Do i have my kids. Subjected to that violent collision to that calamity to that chaos of being a football athlete being a football player. Or do i say you know what i'm going to pass on it but it's going to be interesting to see how it developed over time but going back to it. There was chaos in week one or excuse me we zero of college football nebraska versatile noise which is kind of honestly the only close game you had an week zero illinois one. Thirty to twenty two against nebraska. But then you had four other games. You convert fresno state at fresno state fresno state one forty five zero. You tap new mexico. Thirty two three youtube just running rampant over new mexico and then you had shattered to my san jose state spartans friends out there shadow to y'all in the south bay in california just doing light work of southern utah. Forty five to fourteen. And you know what. I'm going to give props to look at look a little chip. Lou chip kelly out there leading. Ucla forty four to ten against the rainbow. Warrior's on al q- louis. Ucla being up on hawaii. Oh next week. It's going to be a wake up call when ucla has to go against their supremacy and lsu at lsu chip. You might be other job this this year. I'm just saying but it's great to have college football back and you know what we always see this. We always see this in college football. The first game were super excited and then under games are not wake. It's it's kind of like a cupcake weak and this leads to a good point. This leads to a good point of does coach football having issue with scheduling cupcake. Games doesn't have an issue now. We all know that these games are kinda preseason for college football it kind of is we have no spring games. Technically preseason games but these games in week one and week zero are kind of like preseason games if you have cupcake games because they're trying to get there you know they're just kinda get their enthusiasm up the crime trying to keep their team's spirits up because some of these teams are playing way below their average and it's not good. It's not good for college football. It really isn't when you have scores like fresno forty-five yukon zero. We have scores like ucla. Forty four polite ten when you have games like san. Jose state forty-five southern utah fourteen. That's not good for college football. It's not because here's why not only is it boring for the teams on the field to get blown out but point for the fans as well. The fans don't want to see a forty five to zero game. If you're not a yukon fresno state fan if you're not sounds a state fan or southern new top man you. Uc san jose state forty five southern utah. Fourteen you're gonna immediately click and james gentle. You're gonna find something that's more important to do and something that you'll actually wanna watch instead of watching a blowout football game in college football now. You can go your doctor diehard fans like oh yeah college football on. It's finally great to see it on. Tv's again and you know what i bet. Some of those games probably outlasted some major league baseball games. Some major league baseball games might have worse. Ratings than i dunno hawaii at ucla or yukon at fresno state when they were both blowouts in the end. I mean it's great to see football actually on our screens and the pageantry in the calamity of college football. I love to see it and a lot of you guys. Look to see it as well but when you schedule cupcake games now. This has been an issue for so long anyway. Continue to be an issue with college football. And i don't think there's going to be resolved anytime soon because of one thing the my knee it's all about the benjamins in college football and you hate to say you hate to say and you to think it but it's all about the money with college football because these big time. Schools are playing these cupcakes schools. And i guarantee you take for example. Ucla hawaii hawaii traveled all the way to ucla for a non conference game. How much money do you think. Hawaii got to play that game. They're probably got millions of dollars. I'm just throwing it out there. Hawaii probably got millions of dollars to play. Ucla for the sake of their program..

"Our picks because it's always a great time to get the picks in we're gonna get into some. Nfl picks we're going to get into some college football picks. 'cause it's common people. It's coming whether you like it or not. Football is almost here. We've got a week left of fake football. Which i'm so glad it's almost over. It's kinda like i've been waiting and we've been waiting so long and just like our wins. The bus gonna get here all right. Let's go come on move it or lose it but we're going to get into our nfc. An afc division champion picks because people season is almost here. So let's get into it all right. Twenty twenty one twenty twenty two and if c and afc picks let's start with the north division in the nfc. Okay north division. We got the green bay packers minnesota. Vikings chicago bears and detroit lined so the odds for pro football futures. Nfl futures at the vegas insider dot com says that you know the green bay. Packers are odds. Favourite minds went sixty five minnesota vikings plus two fifty chicago bears plus five fifty detroit. Lions plus two thousand five hundred. Hope boy yeah. I like these odd. I really do. i really. Don't see anybody winning this division but green bay. I mean just look at that team that green bay as and aaron rogers come back his last ride. Davante adams is back there and just aaron jones. That's a three hundred monster. That i'm not sure. Any offense can keep up with that in the past in the south or in the north. I mean yeah. You have minnesota but kirk cousins or lead the way and we don't know what's gonna happen. Chicago bears justin field. Might be starting week three when any don gets hurt or throws like five picks. I two weeks and who knows what's going to happen with detroit so yeah green bay packers when the ansi north. It's kind of just a. That's probably the easiest lock you get this season now. We move on to the afc north now this this division. This division is very interesting. This might be the best division in the afc. it just might be gotcha. Got baltimore ravens. Cleveland browns pittsburgh steelers in cincinnati bengals. Now all four of those teams have good on the side of the ball. I like all four quarterbacks. A like lamar jackson baker. Mayfield to solid choice. Everybody's bashing on big ben in pittsburgh but you gotta realize he's a good football player as old as he has like. oh he's washed up. You can't do it anymore. Look into stats last season. Look at his staff. Lassen and pittsburgh might have the best ofensive core when it comes to wide receivers. They might have the best three wide receiver trio in the league. Just think about that. You got doodoo smith schuster. Who's the number one there who's eight dominant flat out. Great number one up with him up there. Probably with the top. Ten top biwott. Zebras up there. I would and then you got chase klay pool coming into his sophomore season. How he's gonna jump from that rookie season to the sophomores. He's going to be interesting. And then somebody no one is talking about who puts up numbers all the time deontay johnson. He is a flat out stunned. He can run any route in the roundtree complex slot. He played acts. He could play why it play running back and you know got flanker. That's how good all these guys are. And that's how good this pittsburgh steelers is and that's how good this offense will be for pittsburgh and you tell me. The addition of najji harris will come into play the best running back in college football from last year. He will make a terrific adjustment from the nfl sleeper. Big slipper here. He might be my sleep pig for rookie of the year. Because you know when you have pittsburgh you know going for five wide. It's going to open up a lot of running lanes for najji harris and honestly look at the past running-backs now he might not be no lady on bell for pittsburgh he might not be no james connor but he's got bedr- athleticism he's younger and he is just so much better when it comes to passing pass catching and running the ball. In between the puck he is probably the best runner in between the tackles four pittsburgh that they've had in what five ten years that how good this kid is now. Look at cleveland cleveland. You know what that defense it just too good. They probably have the best defense in the afc north. I mean with different line of myles garrett and plus with the addition of jv today cloudy with denzel ward and ronnie harrison junior. Plus you got andrew billings and myles garrett who die already stated that is going to be a dominant defense and you know what honestly my opinion. They probably should've went to the afc championship game last year. And that is my opinion taking her leaving but that that offense. That's pretty good. It's pretty good offense. Got the two best running back duo in my opinion in the nfl. In nick chub and kareem hunt both were big playability. Play got dynamic dual threat quarterback and baker mayfield. Who still in my opinion his a lot to prove his a lot to prove yet he had one good season but can he jumped to that elite level. Can he jumped to that russell wilson. That patrick mahomes that josh allen. Yes at josh allen delete but he has a lot of great weapons around him with. Ob jiang jarvis landry dominant people jones and plus the tight end off hooper. Watch out plus you have david jokue. Oh there's a reysen. There is a reason they won the afc north last year hands down now. Do i think they're going to win this year. That's an interesting question. It honestly all depends on baltimore. Baltimore the baltimore the odds on favor right now. Plus fifteen it all depends on baltimore and specifically it all depends on that quarterback lamar jackson people's you know he said they don't haven't figured out well it's kinda simple this dude if he's on if he's able to run the offense and actually be accurate in the pocket..

"Anything. But focusing on the academics. He's more about making money and he's he's probably the right man for this job because they wanna make money and he's trying to get his conference supposedly the conference champions who has been probably the laughing stock of the power five conferences within the last couple of years within probably like the last five to six years and he knows that his conference has a reputation right now that is not able to uphold to the standard of the pack twelve. The conference of champions. We all know that. And the other two commissioners they would have been far more diplomatic with their answers in that press conference the other day. Go back and watch it. They would have been far more to diplomatic and he just comes out and says it. You know what we want to make the most money and we want to compete. And we won't stop the super. Sec or at least compete with them to get all the money that we can. We don't want them when. I've got about them documentary. Espn and the sec. To basically just run away with money we don't want that any flat out distended he stated and you know what could for them. So i'm going to be very interested to see how this affects the two major sports how this affects snarly football but college basketball as well because honestly in college athletics but two major sports. Anybody worry about is called for ball and called basketball. That's just plain and simple building to sports that make the most money for their programs. So when you look at college football and college basketball you see a lot of opportunity with the acc. The pac twelve and big ten three of the biggest power five conferences out there when it comes to college. Athletics combining and joining the super team. This could smell trouble for the sec. But you know what when it comes to college football. This game worried the. Sec is not worried but they should be. They should be because three against one even. Especially if you bring in oklahoma and texas for your super. Sec is still going to be fighting for a lot regarding recruiting regarding espn scheduling television scheduling and most importantly eyeballs. Most importantly people watching their games. Like i mentioned before if you get that. Twelve o'clock window and you're the sec. And you got a game. Like i dunno texas versus lsu for example when that supremacy finally joins together. We get texted. I want to thirty okay. Most people are gonna watch that game. Most people are gonna watch those games because a it's two major historic football conferences and football programs coming together. Battling it out in the but then again they. Sec is going to have trouble. They're going to have competition if the superlight forms finally. Because we've you have texas for zealous. You people are gonna watch that they just are especially if the twelve thirty shift but if you tell me that you can get another program another tv company that says hey you know let you have lsu and texts over there but we also have over here. Clemson and usc ha. Now we're talking now. We're talking because if you can give me clemson in usc or washington and ohio state. Now we're talking 'cause if you can give me any other type of big time football game that breaks out in that spot within that area of the twelve thirty window to compete with the people are gonna watch and that's the most important thing that everybody needs to know in college football. The most important thing that all these administration experts all these called football analysts say called. Football is all about making money and they see this expansion and this planned expansion coming up and they see money grab and the alliance wants to get a part of it. They just don't want scc and they don't want the espn television networks like espn two. Espn three nbc. They they don't want espn as a whole just to basically have a stranglehold on the sec. The super assisi and the television rights that television window on saturdays. They don't want that. They want a fair game for all they basically just say. Hey we know the sec's formula super lions divided. Our conferences can not beat them. If we keep on battling either for the time slots and fort recruiting. We're not gonna be able to beat them. We're gonna wither away but together. We have a chance because not only. Are we going to put the best games on at all times. We're going to give them a run for our money and we're going to give them a run for their money and you know what we're going to use our best our strengths against their strength and together. We can defeat this super sec. And i'm excited about. I truly am if there if it's true if what they say is true when it comes to scheduling. Oh i would love to see games on saturdays. Where you see. Clemson versus organ or ohio state versus usc or washington versus michigan. I'm talking about big time. College football programs already top ten programs going at it in different conferences. so i'm super excited for college football. We we i mean. Go football tomorrow. People august twenty eighth. So if you're super excited we got six five games of college football now. Not not big time names but there's some pretty good gangs nebraska illinois hawaii. Ucla san jose state southern utah. If you into the mountain west but coach football is finally back. Good excited. I'm excited to see how it's going to play out. I'm excited. see the you know the pageantry. "I've seen nothing like that from these players decided to retire. I mean all three of these guys were presumably. Presumably going to be on the roster bubble and i dunno. I try to put myself in their shoes. I mean you're competing every day. It's got to be physically and mentally exhausting at that point. If you're this level of football player where you're you're you're out you're going to training camp. You're competing just to maybe get a spot on the team for the regular season and maybe it was the the suicides and the the pushups that really set you off but at some point. That's gotta be exhausting. That competitive fire has to somewhat burn out at some point and these players decided look. It's not for me. So i respect that part of it but again it's just such a bizarre storyline coming out of training camp and my final take is just that. I don't think joe judge should be criticized for this Joe is a great young head coach. And like i said these players were citing. Joe judges being the reason that they straight up retired and decide to leave the game but for future reference giants. Don't get in fights and don't let your starting quarterback be mixed amidst the pile because that is just not a good..

"Taylor i would throw alvin kamara in there and you know what i'm gonna throw in a guy who most most people don't realize who is a number one back who i oxley might draft in the second round. If he's still there. Austin ekeler. Austin ekeler has a great potential has a great system and he if he's healthy boring if anybody is helping the nfl. They have great potential. But austin ekeler's a guy the sort of fancy friendly saving role we hope kamar still has austin ekeler can get you those points now comes to people are now. I'm simply talking to those people who play. I'm i favour pr because we all love points and when it comes to pr points per reception you're gonna wanna running back. Who can catch the ball. Out of the backfield. Yeah getting forty touches. A game is nice. But if you're going to be able to be that third down back and you're going to be able to score points and by just simply catching the ball from the backfield. You're going to be more successful. So i'm going to what i like to do. I like to pair certain certain backfield up to have a workhorse. And i also like to have a guy who can patch. Excuse me a guy who can catch the ball out of the backfield. So i'm thinking. If i compare guy like christian mccaffrey with a guy like joe. Mix them or compare. Guy like nick chubb with ezekiel elliott or derrick henry. With edward i the best of both worlds. And it's all about mixing and matching especially vengeful football. And you can get a lot of good talent on fantasy football on your team because there's a lot of talent in the nfl and especially at the running back position so if you're doing your fantasy football draft near preparing and you're reading magazines don't forget to mix and match and you gotta honestly fancy. Football championships are one in june and july. Because that's when you prepare to actually try to figure out what you're gonna do this season when it comes to the fantasy football and when it comes to the strategy and it all starts before the draft and now you can go into many different directions but i like to go into the fantasy football draft saying okay. I'm gonna drop to work courts running backs. I'm going to get a superstar tight end. And i'm going to get a quarterback who i know is going to put up points and you know what let's get into the quarterbacks positions because there are a lot of out there just running backs who i think will be able to put up points now. I'm looking at quarterbacks. Like patrick mahomes josh allen lamar jackson. Those three quarterbacks are all going to put up points. But i'm also looking at guys who are under under the radar. Kind unlike tyler moore kind of like tom brady kind of like aaron rodgers if he stays in green bay. And you can get these guys in the later rounds. These guys aren't going to go off the board because when it comes to the first round running backs wide receivers and tight ends like travis kelsey tight ends like darren waller tight like george. Kittle are going to go off the board early now. You can get a quality quarterback in the seventh round. You can get the super bowl. Mvp in the seventh round. Tom brady you can get him. You can get dak prescott. You can give big ben rothlisberger. You can skit. These envy t type players on your team. Who will help you win a nfl fantasy football championship in the seventh round. And i guarantee you if you find yourself in the seventh round and you need a quarterback don't rent because you can get quality guys. They're still great guys out there. Who are starting quarterbacks. In this league that you can get in the seventh eighth ninth and tenth rounds this year of the fantasy football draft. So if you're looking for quarterback early don't do it. Don't do it because you're not going to get the value. You are when it comes to the running back position and the wide receiver position. In those later rounds. Then you're going to get at the quarterback position 'cause it's all about finding value in fantasy football and if you're not going to be able to find value don't put yourself in a situation where you're gonna have to draft for five wide receivers in the later rounds and you're going to have to mix and match and you don't have a number one wide receiver workhorse infringed football. It's all about having a workhorse running back having a word courts or workhorse when it comes to the wide receiver positions and when it comes to tight ends. You need that workhorse. you need. Who's going to be the best players in those positions but when it comes to quarterbacks when it comes to the most important position in football regarding fancy football quarterbacks out the most important position but they're so key that you get value appalachia rounds when it comes to quarterback positions. So when you're doing your mock drafts this year and when you are preparing for your fantasy football leagues in draft just remember. Don't go for that quarterback in the first round the second round third around hold off. Go get your running backs coach workhorse. Running backs receivers and go. Get your workhorse tight. Ends the first five rounds and then wait because if you wait in your patient trust me. Some quarterback will drop to you who to starting quarterback in this league who will put up major points. So it's all about value when it comes to fantasy football and you know what it's going to be interesting to see because there's going to be that one player who drops trust me. You can get a tom brady. You can get a ben rothlisberger you can get. Even maybe an aaron rodgers in the later rounds. You just have to be patient. Speaking of 'em rogers he's in the news again. The aaron rodgers saga continues. And you know we got some details on. What's going to happen with aaron rodgers. So if you're excited and you're thrilled to football back. We got you covered on the other side. It's the gmt football. Podcast stay tuned. Are you looking for help for your fantasy football team. Check out the gsm. See fantasy football podcast. "Welcome in another episode of the fantasy football overtime podcast today we're going through our boom and do episode gala. Couple of coin flips a little bit news with Matt. Let's check in with how they are doing matt. How're you feeling I am feeling good. I finally got my voice back a little bit here. It's been a little scratchy from the Bachelor Party this morning I also had a guy come out. Out and install a fence for me and my yard, so I'm pretty excited about that. Spend something that I've. It's going to help with my dog quite a bit. That fences looking preteen nineties. Scooby is probably the happiest family member around he has. He has no idea what to do with it like it's. He's not sure if this is like a one day rewards for good behavior or this permanent or Or what, but yeah we always have like we live right next to a park or backyard is a park, and then a path is attached to it as well so we just would always have people that would cut directly through my yard, so I really really wanted offense for a couple reasons, so I'm excited that we finally got her. It kind of makes the space yourself, so it doesn't overflow to the. The park, so it actually feels like a yard kind. You're less mowing for you and I know you're a big yard guy. Yeah, that's just. We got the fence today, so I haven't really felt that yet. But I'm sure in the next couple of days I'll notice. That can be a lot more weed whipping around the bottom of the fence line but I'm actually somebody that really enjoys. We'd whipping so. So, that's GonNa be quite alright. Yeah, surprise and I walked up at how small the fence made your yard. If that's even possible because you have a huge yard by somehow that fence, it looks smaller so hopefully. It cuts down a little bit the work for you jake. How're you doing today? I feel pretty good. Believe it or not I. Actually started going to the gym again so I've been doing that. That so finally finally getting back into the swing of things here, the shoulders feeling a little bit better so I actually did something. How is the gym without any way? It's so actually the forty story. The lady came in and asked my opinion on it and I thought it was the dumbest thing ever was quote. Unquote the words I use there, so she actually took down the sign and put up..

"They have. They claim it's going to be different but and you know what might help them. Though as if this AF is successful that might actually help them. I don't know we'll see like I said Seattle's GonNa team so I will give it a shot yeah. We're GONNA be inundated with football with between the X._F._l.. The AF N._F._l.. College football here locally we have semi pro and arena. I don't mind having a little break like it's okay to take a little break like I know it's only a you know a sixteen game season. Hopefully got playoff games after that for your team but it's like when I'm it's like when the baseball season definitely a lot. I'm definitely just drained after this yeah just as a fan and I know that Smith sound dumb to some people but you kind of art you are in all compared to baseball yeah. There's one hundred sixty two games in baseball. It's a lot and he's planning ours law. They don't that's not true but they don't go is true not true they don't go through the same physical demands that football players do so those sixteen games might as well one hundred sixty two at the end of a baseball season yeah. I haven't had a team in the playoffs in a long time but it doesn't matter it's still I need the break like it's exhausting and I even as a fan and I'm a big. It's no secret I'm a bigger baseball fan than I am a football fan. I need my break and I it's. It's okay okay to have that and I'm a I'm a little worried that now you'll have the AF and have X._F._l.. And then all of a sudden it'll be right into training camp and there will be no are needle. Just Gimme a little little break just little one you can do that yourself. Just shut it. That's just not right though then it's happening. I feel like the world happening without me to him. No come on no foam. Oh no foam around here all right for the very first time ever. Let me ask Zia question. I mean I've asked questions before say for the first time for this new segment. Yeah let me ask a question. <hes> young young boy just had a birthday happy birthday. Lucas cannot believe that he's three. You still have the look of disbelief on your face because he's three but he looks like he's five or six. Look like that when he came out so there's that but so you have a son I've got to every picture. I see if you're wearing Dallas cowboys at my kid found out that his poor kid going to realize that kicking going away in the N._F._l.. But he they found out one of his golf little golf whole thing's makes perfect T. O.. Football on it and kicks down the hall on a heart. Tell him that position will be available in football much longer but you'll go yeah. I guess like I said no teach him along long snap yes. They need those but so my question is this with everything that we know now about head injuries and everything else take the wives out of it because their decisions even more emotional than us right sometimes sometimes. Are you going to let your son play football if that's what he wants to do absolutely it'd be no different than if you ask you know I wanna I want to see fi or I want to do <hes> Rodeo of Doroteo. I WANNA be Rodeo ride or whatever the hell you know what I mean. I want to do anything that he wanted to do. I would support him and obviously football is a big one for me because that's really big me but no matter what it is that he he wanted to do I would I would let him do it. <hes> as far as you know everything we know now with CD. Just you know everything <hes> a lot of it comes down. I mean a lot of it does come down to play in the game correctly and every once in a while there can be things that happened but if you think if you look at the I mean if you just look at the numbers the thousands and thousands and thousands of kids adults people that are all playing this sport. You know it's it's it's it's small. There's differently far armour dangerous things that he could be doing and I mean we're not gonNA get into that but football. Definitely I want to do it. I would support I'm with you I. I'm one of those it's it's. I don't WanNa come down on parents that that don't want their kids to play. I one hundred percent understand the the reasoning behind because you do have you you now have lots of parents out there who are literally saying I will not allow Oh my child to play football and I get that I I will never see here. All parents shame all day for a lot of other things but oh yeah but especially in our state Oh my God plenty we could have an entire discussion on that but we won't vaccinated kids the shape ax hits <hes> who said that we're but while I get that on my end of it as my as the parent I m if he's passionate about it and he will put it the work in always. He's not going to half asset like I want him. I WANNA see him. Dedicate himself to it. If that's the sport he chooses to play also part one hundred percent. I'm not sure what his mother thinks <hes>. Maybe she's a little more nervous about it and I get that but the technology in the helmets and the way they're changing the gear all that type of stuff that they're doing to try and make it safer to game the game will only get while it may day for maybe fly football agents that and we don't know I mean maybe three and even if I mean I don't know it's going to be interesting to learn. I mean I'm learning that now now having a teenage daughter but if there if they're really passionate about something as apparent you you don't want to hinder that no you don't matter what it is yeah no matter what it is <hes>. They're passionate about art. Let them do art yeah. That's me like I don't I'm with you. I don't there's something special about seeing your child no matter what age and I bet you it's totally different on the teenage side of it too. It's probably it's a complete like probably feels even better because you wanna see them. Have that passion for something thing right at a teenage year for a three year old it's like they like everything dinosaur Coco. They're patching cat food. Dislike right now with Emmett is like chart figure out what sports he's really gonNA play. I have no idea one minute he'll be playing hockey and then he'll be playing golf and then he'll be playing baseball playing football and then the other day is like I'm GonNa play basketball. I'm like why basketball stupid and he's like yeah. It's kind of fun. I'm it's really not and then you actually watch. He asked to watch it on T._V.. And I'm like no doubt I WANNA watch basketball. No let's find something else. That's where I draw the line. I will let you do anything but basketball no. Absolutely not yeah push towards that. They got a passion push them towards it like let them do that as long as it's not a bad thing if passionate for selling drugs that's not sorry find a different path. I'll find a different passion but I'm with you I just I think it's an I think it's cool cool but I think it's a hate US my word but it's an interesting subject because there's just so many different opinions out there about it and and we all WanNa protect our kids but like you said man the passion is a big deal and if that's what they're passionate about I'm not going to be the one that stands in the way of it what if what if they're really good and they can go on to become pros and make millions and millions dollars you go. I wouldn't ever want to be the one that was like Oh God. He could have been an N._F._l.. quarterback but I didn't want him get hurt so awesome. I like that segment. Maybe I'll do it again sometime. Let me ask you question. Let me ask you a question. I should get the Jim Carey Ace Ventura Asks You should movie that's class. It's been on T._V.. The last couple of weeks and I'M NOT GONNA lie. I've washed it once more than once more than once <hes> social media mailbag I did not do when this week however like we said our buddy Dennis from Ohio took it upon himself to ask you to do one and so I will give him props. He isn't working really hard to get us a sponsorship for me on since last week's this episode and it's a bit old and I need some. I need a fresh stack. It's on hit us up. I know he's even attacking people who are trying to steal her sponsorship. He's all over the place. He's he's lobbying for us in a dentist. We appreciate it buddy so he he says not sure if you mailbag this week but what are your thoughts on Kareem Hunt signing what precedent is being set you can hit kick someone but it's not hard but if it's not hard then it's not as bad and then of course there's also don't forget to talk me undies. I've lobbying for you guys so to the I you know I point is. I told you I told you he was going to be resigned. You did and you said it. I said he's GonNa he. He'll play again. It's not even shocking. It's the browns either. He's young enough. He's well. John Dorsey is the one that that drafted him. I think when Dorsey was still Kansas City so I mean that kind of says it right there this. This is a touchy and I really think that this this this this subject in this kind of thing could pick up an entire episode but just to just quickly paraphrase and just just take from what you will. I don't obviously you do that. I don't even know I don't even know how to start. I I really think that that is domestic. Violence and all that is an issue period. I mean that's not just you know. Mentors women women toward I mean everything just messing just thought ball either generous in general is is a huge issue but there's so many I mean there's so many different layers are so many different situations just if you free ticket to just take football out of it can take football out of it say I mean. I don't think we have the right now. We're kind of at where I mean. Everybody's so on edge and everybody just so you know ready to write somebody right people off but I I really do think that will have we need to figure out in some way where people I mean what's their path redemption. What's their path to you? Know what I mean you do..

"football." Discussed on GSMC Football Podcast

"Football podcast, wrapping up today's show with a couple interesting things. Jeff us just letting me know earlier today that today was the anniversary of an incredible play in football history. Yes, it was the anniversary of the music city miracle today on this date in nineteen ninety nine. We saw proud when the greatest finishes to a playoff game of all time. Yes. Frank white. Check through the ball laterally quote unquote across the field. Kevin. Yes. Isn't why Cheka coach now was coach? I know. He was a great tight end was the player though. I think he was he was the player I to look now. And was it determined that? It was a Ford past like scientifically didn't they it was? Okay. It was how do I say it was not lateral. And it was not forward. It was parallel. So then it was it was allowed to like the actual definition of a lateral. Yes. Really? They determine that. Or you read that that's where I that's what I've seen. Well, depending who you ask because Buffalo Bills fans, I'm sure they'll be the first to tell you that that was Ford pass rate. Oh, yeah. Uh-huh. So greatest ending to a playoff game ever. It's up there with the one yard short which happened weeks later and in titans Super Bowl in the Suba time expense. There was also immaculate reception. What a playoff for titans fan you go through the highs in the lows the big the biggest high in the biggest low. On the same season the same playoffs. All right. Did you hear the story all about how my life get turned right outside? Okay. Do you not like finish friends? Yes. Okay. Good alabama. There was a prerecorded radio bit. I think it was an advertisement for local sporting goods store. They had. They actually had a scheduled radio bit to go on after the national championship in the entire bit was revolved around the idea that our Bama defeated Clemson and won the national championship in the bit is says get your national championship winning Alabama gear. What an incredible season capped off by another championship title. There's just like comment after awkward in it ran. It was like at least sixty city council after the forty four sixteen Heike like don't somebody get fired for their job for hitting play taking it off? Maybe they had no choice. What the ladies paid for it? That's my guess at least I'm assuming. Yeah. I don't you think they would have just done like alternate one. Like, hey, if they don't wanna we'll play this one that doesn't talk about the national championship loss. We'll just talk about our sporting goods say they were just as confident. I don't know. I don't I can't if if they if they didn't have an alternate. That's pretty urgent right? Yeah. That's a big assumption. I know that it was like Obama was like twenty point favorite. You know, like sure they were the favorite. But people thought it'd be somewhat of a good game. We'll because they've had good games in the past. So don't take this game for granted. Yeah. Clemson's alabama. You silly goose's geeses your silly geese. Silly geese over there. Silly fortunate. Situation for that store. I wonder if people show up in their dislike, where's our? Where's our merchandise? Eric. Yeah. We heard you on the radio idiot. You know, like they're mean probably will close out of embarrassment. Just for the day tire store other than that. We're done for today. Please join us on Thursday when we break down or getting closer to the games. So we're going to break down all the games. What games? Now, the college football's over I think, it's pretty obvious. What we're talking about? What may be explained to the NFL playoffs area divisional around? We're going to break down the games. We're going to talk about we might have a coach or two hired before. Then we'll probably house more interviews set up as we're getting down to it. Maybe we'll floral have the job for the Packers by then he might be the first domino to fall. And we'll see how that kind of fix the rest of the coaching carousel around the NFL anyways. I'm Mark Souza. I'm Jeff Alan off. And we will see you Thursday..
