"Win. If we fight it. Now i want to speak to you about biden in a bite inflation bite. Inflation is real biting abide. Inflation is really. It's a real thing it's real. I'm sorry i'm looking at some some more breaking news here. It's just just nuts. so biden. Inflation is really. You're gonna fill it bite. Inflation exists the situation has not made things easy on the biden administration. I think this thing seriously. I think this issue with with with hunter biden is seriously going to alternately. I think this is gonna seriously destroy the by name ministration. There's no doubt destroying us. There's no doubt is destroying us. You cannot convince me you cannot convince me that the biden administration is not compromised. And we're going to have to pay for it. And i think that's exactly what we saw with the xl pipeline. I think that's exactly what we saw with the nord. Stream two pipeline. We're now the restrictions are off. Our red tape is gone. Sanctions are gone. All that kind of stuff and now russia vladimir putin germany can do their thing they can allegedly pollute the environment so to speak but yeah not not americans. Not americans biden this compromise. And we're going to feel the pain as a result of it soon. I'm going to get back to this story with kobe. Finish up last night on this. Rsv rsv stuff. That's happening where kids going to. Hospitals supposedly an unprecedented numbers for covert. And then there was a there. There's a sickness that i had not heard of and a nurse contacted me message me and informed me and i'll just give a shout out and we'll give her full name but Thank you holly. This is something that is very This happens regularly and children A young adult but not in adults typically. So it's typically not a big deal but rsvp. But we'll get to that. But i want to get to some bite inflation because you're gonna start filling in for those of you that made not completely understand inflation and i'm sure if you're listening to larry elder you do for the most part. I understand inflation. But i'm sure there's some new listeners that might be listening or you might be you know somewhere in the middle. Maybe you're in california you're debating on whether or not vote for larry elder and all this kind of stuff and you need to figure out what inflation is because inflation is going to hit hard and i don't think inflation is going anywhere. The left has been talking about democrats have been talking about. This is transitory inflation that we're living through. It's not going anywhere with the biting administration and it's not going anywhere when you have republicans and democrats joining together to pass unprecedented or spin. I mean just. John amounts of money. We're going to have to pay for. Here's the first example of bite inflation. I wanna talk about food because this is something that hits all of us right. It hits tummies all the time. Food is important right. We need food to survive. Of course we do this reuters. Tyson foods raises. Prices scrambles to keep up with placing now when it comes to inflation. I want you to think of this. is it. This is an easy way for you to understand or to remember what inflation is if this is a topic that somewhat due to you. It's went too many dollars so you have tons of money chasing few goods. There's not enough stuff to buy in other words or think of black friday. You know how all the stores try to get you in. The storage on. Christmas season thanksgiving christmas season black friday. You wanna buy all this stuff and they always advertise this one laptop or this one television set. That's going to be said and right smack in the middle of the department store and they only have x. amount of before they're absolutely gone and obviously the trick is to get you in the store so you can buy other stuff if if you're in california so you can shoplift other stuff but in other places around the nation is so you can buy other stuff so you walk into this store you get into or well. You don't walk in on black friday. You bum rush that store. Are you set in line. You have the money in your hands. You're ready to go. You've got all of this cash you've been saving in a and you're ready to go you like. I'm going to get my christmas shopping. done day. You pull up you see the line and you're like wow everybody else. Be two hundred people standing in line in front of me. Have the same amount of money or cash. That i do. But there's only thirty two of those televisions essentially. That's inflation too many dollars chasing too few goods so every day becomes like a black friday in a sense and people can just jack prices up because there's just not enough goods and you have the money to pay for it because money said around so this from reuters. Tyson foods inc. cannot increase prices for chicken and prepare foods fast enough to keep pace with rising costs for raw materials like grain This according to their chief executive. Jani king After the company reported higher than expected quarterly earnings. So listen to this. Tyson raise They're twenty Twenty twenty one revenue forecast Of beef the man sells steaks and burgers from us. restaurants and hotels recovered following the easing of kovic nineteen restrictions. So they raise their forecast. They made more money than.

I've never seen a zebra boxing a man so right. I don't know what they were doing there. And you know what I actually have. I have a lot of time here. Nobody's there to really good ones. Okay, lovers. That's the important thing is in Nashville, Tennessee, just like it is in Massachusetts and Maine and many other Honestly ignited places in the United States of America. I have to think if they're a handling, I don't know what part of Tyson they were working in. But if they were working in the processing of the meat in the packaging, they probably were and probably were wearing gloves. "We got a name the idolatry and if we believe that our theology and faith in Jesus is the most important thing it doesn't matter what others our culture a assigned. You're doing just because people are screaming and bashing and pointing fingers and accusing spreading lies doesn't mean that we should necessarily adopt those things at all year so we just have to know. Who are we the three questions that I ask myself regularly every day? Actually in it grounds is three questions. Who Am I meaning? I'm a child of God. I belong to him. The second question is who do I serve? I serve Jesus. Jesus alone is tempting to be seduced by the powers of the world and the third thing is what am I about. What are my values? What are my guideposts? What are the things that I want to be known for Because it's so easy and tempting to succumb to the things of this world the last thing that I'll just say because the question that you asked so good and so complicated and we should be having conversation regularly within the walls of the church in is. I am fascinated and compelled by the eucharist. The Lord's table on Sundays. When the Lord's table gathers it's such A. I love every day every Sunday at our church. We serve communion and it's so beautiful because even if the worship set isn't right on or tight if they're sermon isn't as we always knew at the thing that he'll pointed us towards was the Lord's table and it was always good Always beautiful always inviting and I want to remind people that there's not I can't think of anything in our world today. Like the Lord's table based upon eternal truth that is able to welcome all your place to faith in Jesus. It's a from a political perspective but I tell my churches. We don't have a line on the left for the left A line on the right That's a grape juice auction for the conservative and a gluten free option in the middle or are are soft people. You know what I'm saying like it's for everyone. Yeah and that invitation has always been very very compelling to me. Well I think it's so incredible talking about that because Foods Inc. together. Sing at the table for your family. Personal Kush itself you know. How many times do we set a table with family members who we disagree with strongly things? But you're welcome there and I've seen it onto when like when the fence giving comes around. There's loads of laser. Jake's my own T. light shine on me about this and that yet. But everyone's still welcome yeah. How far are we from that in a well? I think you just preached right there. That's what we gotta be doing. You know Jesus performs amazing ministries. The thing that most fascinates me is. He ate with people and the eight with people that he wasn't supposed to eat with including Pharisees and religious leaders like he his ministry was the table. I think it's brilliant fascinating. I'm not reducing our involvement as disciples only to the table but I think it has to involve the table in the book I talk about. They're not believers but after the last presidential election in the United States which was very disruptive shocking for probably everyone these two Asian American women in Silicon Valley in California. They were so disturbed by the election. They wanted to with other people that would have supported the other political party but then they realized they didn't know anyone and it wasn't so much an accusation of others. I think it was an invitation for them to ask themselves. Wow We've actually surrounded ourselves with an echo chamber of only those that look like us and think like us so they started this. The they invited people to a meal and just share their story instead. We want to invite people that voted for the other candidates for president trump and wondered if you would be willing to break bread with. Us could just discussed in a safe space year. And that was the genesis of a global movement called make America dinner again and so it's actually been all over the world. I went to one and yeah and had dinner with people that I disagreed with on many issues but over bread and thing was it's not like we convinced each other overnight nor do we change the world change policies of whatever. I think it made us realize that. We don't need to vilify demonize other people every person even if they disagree still deserves inherent human dignity. Yeah and that's so important. And and how do we balance that with cooling out injustice because when we look at Jesus and the Bible he's he's cooling the Pharisees Whitewash teams? He's having Peter get behind me. Say how we planets like so passionately needing to bring in the kingdom bring justice with also not being jacket same time. Yeah so what I what I tell people is. I'm not a huge fan of alliteration but for the sake of this activity liberation. It's the letter p and the five piece that I want people to think about as pastoral prophetic personal practical and prayer. So let me begin with personal. We should live what we believe because for screaming and shouting and we're not embodying in our lives. That's just cognitive dissonance. Yeah it's hypocrisy so sometimes. I'm wondering are people simply righteous behind their keyboards and yet would not living. It out practical means that I think are convictions on to not just be personal beliefs but lead the change in the way that we live but even change and how we want our culture and society even if we can't change everything we should still seek the sea. Change Happen I with me those near me but the two that I'm going to focus on is historical and prophetic so injustice work. We tend to be prophetic. Raise our arms turntable. Call out things and it's important. I actually believe it's important but we actually need the balance between the pastoral and the professor You can't just be prophetic. And not actually also care. From a pastoral level four someone and their thriving and flourishing simultaneously. I get worried about Christians particularly leaders who say no. I don't want to do those things. That's to political is to justice. I just want to be a pastor and yet to be a pastor and to engage pastoral worth and not engage. Prophetic I believe. Does the service to our pastoral work We have to do both and so I think what that means is the balance between grace and truth is the balance between engaging justice work but Reminded of that love has to be the fuel that drives us because we could do justice work and without love. I'm really afraid that what ends up happening. Is we become like a clanging cymbal. We think we sound beautiful and then we gather ourselves with other clanging cymbals acquire of planning symbols and we think wow we're doing beautiful justice work but without love at and that's the hard question that we have to keep asking again and again and again is is there love in my heart for others even those that we disagree with. I don't know about you. But the most challenging disruptive thing that Jesus teaches about is some love your enemies. Yeah yeah it sounds so simple when when you heard those times but we just stop and think as crazy. That's really that a lot of that. Is I want to rip that portion at his heart. But that's the call of the Gospel Mix..

"Us Meat Supplier foods pork has been hit especially hard with daily production cut by about a third unlike cattle which can be housed outside on pasture. Us HOGS ARE FATTENED UP FOR SLAUGHTER INSIDE. Temperature control buildings. If they are house too long they can get too big and injure themselves i. That's that's true as well. I grandfather raised the pig Didn't put him out for slaughter was a pet but this big was over. Two thousand pounds. the bar needs to be emptied out by sending adult hogs to slaughter before the arrival of new piglets from sows that were impregnated. Just before the pandemic quote. We have nowhere to go with the pigs. Close quote Van Beck said laminated the waste of so much meat quote. What are we going to do close quote in Minnesota Farmers Carry embarked? Mergen felt their hearts pound when a crew from daybreak Foods Inc. arrived with carts and tanks of carbon dioxide to euthanize their sixty one thousand egg laying hands earlier this month so there so chickens as well daybreak foods based in Lake Mills Wisconsin supplies liquid eggs to restaurants and food service companies the company which owns the birds. You're pays contract. Farmers like Mergen to feed and care for them drivers normally load eggs onto trucks and haul them to the plant in Big Lake Minnesota which uses them to make liquid eggs for restaurants and ready to serve dishes for food service companies with the plant's operator Cargill Inc. Who I also think they handle a bulk of the food service for airlines. By the way cargill Said idled the facility because the pandemic reduced demand lastly here daybreak foods which which has about fourteen point five million hands with contractor run or company owned farms in the Midwest is trying to switch gears and ship eggs to grocery stores said Chief Executive Officer William Rim Rim and anybody. That's been shopping recently. Knows that even even with eggs there is a shortage in of course to the stores themselves are limiting. How many particular customer can take usually. It's one per customer so this is an extensive article. It's it's it'll be in our show notes but there you go another problem for sure. Yeah this this thing is. It has far reaching affects. Not only is supply is affecting our foodstuffs. It's also affecting you know containers for foods all everything that a food is packaged in. That's being affected as well. So you know that's why I said earlier. It's a cascading effect. A affects be see affects. Di It's a cascading effect all affects everything down the line. Now these companies like daybreak. You know it. It's hard for them. To switch gears it is to go from servicing one industry to another but I still say an believe that these these big production companies that paid farms to raise and feed produce. You know tell them you know. Put put the stuff out there. Tell them to give this stuff to the local people. People WANT EGGS. Come get some eggs. People will literally drive miles and miles to go. Get the free eggs absolutely or or even to them. It's money but The chickens the chicken absolutely so so you know I have heard about towns starting to reconsider some of their ordinances so that people can you know have a chicken or two for the eggs alone. You know in an area that they normally would not be deeming it as appropriate for for farming or something. But they're not necessarily trying to farm. They're just simply trying to own a animal that produces something like eggs. Right right but So you know. There's there's some fixes to some of this swatter but nobody's thinking outside the box certainly not these corporate heads. They're not thinking outside the box. You know sure they may big. They may have these hands ensure they may have egg loss insured. They may have all that stuff insured but the big picture for them in my in my opinion would be. You're creating goodwill within the state that your company is housed in you. You truck truck these eggs to the facilities anyway. Why not trump them to a central location? Where people can come by them. Why not do that? Why not you know the pigs. Say for instance. Why not contact some local butchers and pay them to butcher hogs so people can take the meat home? See I think I think to a certain degree. That's what Beth was speaking about earlier in chat relevant to corporations quote Unquote And I know it's probably not the exact same context but corporation's not Being able to adjust themselves quickly right but I also think a big part of this has to do with the Almighty dollar and not wanting to radically changed their their business models in the financial industry for example When we're talking about debt reconstruction they call that a haircut. Meaning you're you're you're you're not. You're debtors me. The people you're bankers okay are GONNA have to start to get used to not having the same profit level that they're used to and I think this is true of corporations as well and they're unwilling to do that at the moment. Okay because they look at it like we invested in all these chickens for example you know what I mean. Now you're asking us the solar exit half the amount of money. We can't do that. That's that's that's what the powers on high or are telling everybody down below. Okay that kind of well I'll say because we've already we've already. We've already broken the explicit tag today. that shit has gotta stop. If you want your economy to be stronger in bounce back quicker. Once people can begin to get their jobs back first foremost number two being able to spend money again. You've got to take a haircut. It's it's it's it's good. It's a good business. Practice NASA said small business again right and learn from his mistakes. Which means you know. Guess what You know maybe maybe sand club wasn't such a great idea it Kinda it Kinda depends on on the situation. Do we need them right now? Yeah I'd I'd say so because of the amount of people that need to be served because everybody's out of work everybody's hungry and and you gotta go where you gotTa go to get. Get this stuff but what I'm saying. When the dust settled a little bit people got to start thinking about the problem. Is You have you have leadership in place right now? That refuses to do some of the things that we're talking about the refused to take haircuts for one try telling a donald trump and all these cronies and friends that they have to take haircuts. You know one of the things that devastated America so much greater threat from the Mike Brother. I'll be right back. Sorry okay one of the things that devastated America so much. During the Great Depression was food shortage. Just people were not able to eat. We have an opportunity to prevent that particular aspect of a great depression from happening. Because we now have all of these production farms that didn't exist back in one thousand nine hundred ninety nine so the reasoning for them to just destroy all of these animals and let all this produce wrought is based in grounded and nothing but greed. That's based in while we'd rather destroy the stuff and get our insurance compensation for it than to give to people who can use it who aren't working because they've had the shelter because of the pandemic it's not rocket science if you're in a business. I don't care whether it's a large business or small business if you're looking at you big picture creating goodwill throughout the communities that you position your product makes perfect sense. It makes perfect sense because when people start back to work they're going to remember that daybreak foods As an example made it possible for them to put food on the table for a month. Say for instance because people were able to buy chickens at rock bottom prices. A dollar chicken so you know to me. That's that's a no brainer. You generate goodwill within the community and it has benefits that pay off long-term long-term so again you know brother you know in instated. Rather that they're not willing to think outside the box. It's beyond them to do that. And the refusal to take a air quoting haircut is is nonsensical to them but it just it just makes total sense. It's so wasteful for all of those animals to deny it makes absolutely no sense it. It hurts my heart to know that this happens on the scale. I know that it happens occasionally in the in the Food Industry. Because you know there's not such a demand for Xyz so they cut back on production. I know that it happens. But on this scale this is a grand scale. It hurts my heart to know this is going on and I'll I'll be talking about this when food. Water and air. The Food Water Air PODCASTS. And it's almost it's close. It's close to launching so stay tuned. Yeah because it's a yeah. It's it's all needs to be Discussing becomes more relevant and important as we know even give give our listeners a quick tease about some of the topics that I'll be discussing on the show.
