Water Problems Plague Millions Of Texans Following Storm Crisis

"Back to most residents in Texas than the Mercury is finally rising above freezing across the state. That winter storm this week left millions with no heat or water. There is a lot of effort from the community that does have power does have food does have water to help those who don't about half the state 15 million residents are under a boil water notice as of right now, and if you go to grocery stores, there's been a rush on bottled water. So shelves are bare. Almost everywhere you go. Same goes for food. Meat aisles completely wiped out as well as nonperishable food items. Thanks is Grady Trimble. "Get excited. Choo Choo Train. ooh, you. Pay Pipe that leads us to the end of our news segment and for funds. As we thought, it'd be cool to just kind of wrap up with a couple of quick hit news items that happened to be all Nintendo related in. So, if you guys missed it earlier this week a drop for the Super Mario lying on black milk went live and we talked about this one they announced it and you're into. Fashion of the FEM variety I like the starter s let's they have a lot of stop you can check out, but they also announced the animal crossing Collab-, which is going to be happening. So this is Super Fun as well. So if you guys want to showcase your love for either animal crossing or Super Mario Brothers, you may want to check out the black milk line secure and there was also to more announcing Super Nintendo world is going to be happening in twenty twenty one. So this is an old trailer Super Nintendo world. Obviously, this is going. To be in Japan, there's one supposed to be happening universal studios in Orlando but because of the covid nineteen pandemic, it has been delayed worldwide. What they did today was confirmed that they're like come hell or high water. We're going to open in two thousand and twenty one, and they revealed some of the food items that you're going to be able to try when you go to Super Nintendo world. So let me show you think tool dress. Suggest I mean they sold that dress in a shop in their blackmail trout by so much stuff is capped already like. The the two things I got are already kept the presale. But. You can still or you can still order those things in select sizes. But the food goes I don't know those UK. Those are those are pancake sandwiches what What. So we're looking at. Ladies and gentlemen of some of the themed cafes and other sources they're going to be having some of the they're showcasing our these Mario and Luigi Pancake sandwiches in the pancakes are like tacos but filled with whipped cream. Are Their hats won as an m one as an L. One's read one's green who would have said and Mario doesn't want these photos to be bigger. I apologize everybody watching Mario's pancakes. Sandwich has strawberries and cream and it says who's come. That's a cap joke says Oak Dokey and they're some looking green fruit and cream I'm not sure what exactly is going on yeah I don't know what those fruits are. There's apple or lime I'm. A super mushroom drink and a tropical bottle and a mess moustached fruit creams soda because a little. Alcoholic? Be grateful was bring your own. To. Chat. Hopefully. It just looks really cute and the store is obviously look all Mario we on the inside, all the chairs, little toadstools and I now this is GonNa. Be My happy place. I'm ready. We're definitely going to do what's good games field trip to Super Nintendo World Orlando when it finally opened. Hundred percent. Rona. No likes he rona. And your the worst get out of here. Okay Only Rona would take a hint. All right. Our last piece of Nintendo news was this little news blurb that dropped this week about Nintendo treehouse spotlighting Jairo Warriors, age of calamity, and then a little bit more info about. Three Pittman three, the deluxe version, Jairo Warriors. So age of calamity is this an expansion it and actually get a chance to watch this this is the. Way tecmo warriors spin off. So it's like real warriors, but it's called age, of course, because it takes place one hundred years before breath of the wild. Yes. So what's GonNa be really interesting about this game it's GonNa show in deep dive into some of the characters and we're GonNa see like personal interactions and here a little bit more about their backstory. Narrative perspective. This is cool but the showcase today the Nintendo. treehouse showed her Bosa style fighting. Zelda showed link fighting a little bit young EMPA-. That is going to be hitting co rocks and the weapons won't break. They. Also, the weapons work in this game. And I showed a little bit about of the map in the weapon upgrades system and it actually looks really good. I mean I did not like the first Jairo warriors primarily because the multiplayer was really bad someone had a play on the way you gain pat and someone could play on. TV. was like the way they designed it why they did that I don't know Nintendo Intendo, but it's really fun and the game play it looks great and some of the places that they visited. To see loan ranch, you could see all the locations essentially from breath wild before the the fan. So most of these villages are intact. The buildings aren't all destroyed. You get to see some of Aksu Games like an ochre enough time Linlin ranch, for example, AC, the same buildings and the little sheds. If it looks good. It looks like all the kicking, ass. Zelda out here. Making her keep and look at that. So she is primarily her Sheikha Asleep abilities which every character has access to you. But hers are a little bit more epic like her bomb for example, is like A. Bomb that spits out many bombs and it's pretty global. Yeah. Yeah. I think this is going to be fun. This actually comes out November twentieth and pick me comes out October thirtieth. So these are two. I mean, I think this game's much bigger than pigment three personally. But yeah, and it's an awesome set up their sleeve, which is nice. It's interesting that they're choosing to focus on this game. Because I think a lot of people were hoping for an update on what's happening with breath of the wild to not to say that we need like a full game play reveal or anything like that. Clearly, this game isn't going to be happening until two thousand, twenty one at the earliest but it would have been nice to get like a teaser or something in conjunction with this Jairo. Warriors announcement, and this is a little bit of A. Guy When this game was announced. Feel like those were a month ago a few weeks ago. was they said, yeah. Sorry. We know. We know what you really want. Just please be patient you really really want. Yeah, they. Yeah but. We can't give out to you yet. The thing. Thanks bye. Yeah I. Think it'll be good. It'll be a little guitar over. It also face. This is an appetizer main course exactly at Obama's or Bros a kick ass you. She got a hack and slash the lightning, their little shield she's like mosquito. been and kill you. If you want to see the game play that we're referring to, of course, youtube dot com slash what's good games or you can go to the Nintendo YouTube account as well. But did you spend a lot of time with hydro warriors doesn't Feel like your style of game and please tell me if I'm inaccurate, you're not wrong. No I played like I said, a little bit of the I went back. When was on we you but the problem with you is this is kind of Game I. Think I could only played multiplayer because it's just more entertaining play someone but someone had a play on the you game had an some could play on the TV and so as you can imagine that didn't work very well Jason was playing on the way you gamepad because of course, he was and I had the Nice Big Shiny TV. His game, he knows his role absolutely his game play on the game pad was really laggy. It didn't look very good I mean it was the Game Pad Right? So I played it. It was fun. But the reason I'm more interested in this one is because of again, it's going expand on the story. Breath of the While we're GONNA get a deeper dive into characters like are both saw relationship she had with Zelda and Zelda's relationship with these folks and that's I. Think we're the the excitement comes from for me.

Los Angeles Superintendent Won't Add Trump Letter to Food Boxes

"School district has been providing meals to students ever since the pandemic broke out. But when a program to distribute federal food Assistance boxes suddenly had one non food item to be included, District Superintendent Austin Buechner said he planned to leave it out case here, W's Larry PERL explains. Buechner said yesterday he has decided to leave a letter from President Trump out of those boxes because, he said, including it may be a violation of federal laws and Would further politicize the response to covert 19. Supermarkets are stocked for Fall

"So we went through a time back in. April and May were there were all these dire predictions that we would have extreme food shortages in the United States and there would be things would not be able to get for who knows how long? And it led to a lot of panic buying. There's already been panic buying paper products toilet paper in various food items can goods things like that, but what the alarmists fail to take into account? Is How good businesses? How good business owners are how good capitalism is? At responding and reacting to things that seem like they're insurmountable in the short term But they're able pretty quickly to come to grips with it. And I know they're all already articles appearing. About how we're going to have a potentially very large spike. In Corona virus mixed with seasonal flu. Coming up as soon as in the next month. And that it's going to lead to. Panic. Buying from consumers again. For goods like occurred particularly in April and May. And I want to give you some peace of mind that retailers manufacturers. Have really responded to the needs of the marketplace. And have made changes that are going to. Make even some level of panic buying that could occur. Not have as much effect on product shortages. Is We had particularly in the spring and the you not going to have to run out and worry you're not going to be able to find whatever. So here are two factors. One that I address before and that is. The reduction and options or choices. That The supermarket industry. has moved much more towards. The aldy kind of model. Of reducing the varieties of goods they have on their shelves. Manufacturers have been part of that reducing the varieties and I think about something I consume that a lot of people are very upset that I consume this but I drink soft drinks drink diet soft drinks. and. The variety available to me and the packaging of them. is a tiny fraction of what it was six months ago the Pepsi, and Coke People. have been able to. help with supply by having longer production runs out having to change over lines of a smaller variety of both packaging and flavors. And it's allowed supermarkets to have. Much. Better inventory control than they would have had before and this happened across so many product lines. That the rationalization of not having thirty eight different kinds of catch up in a supermarket. Having just a few and maybe a couple of varieties assizes has made the marketplace much more efficient. The second thing is supermarkets have operated in recent years probably for about the last twelve years. On, what's known as a j it just in time inventory methods that are all the rage in corporate America. And having very little inventory available in many cases having just hours. Of Sell through of inventory in different product categories. Worked fine until corona virus and then it didn't work at all and any of a number of manufacturers and supermarkets are now stocking inventory in much larger numbers than prior and so that also means. There will be if there is panic buying, there will be the occasional spot shortages of different items but as far as things being in a situation like where we had very little of this that or the other available that is not going to repeat.

AI and the Optimization Airline Meals - with Kurt Muehmel of Dataiku

"So. Glad to have you with us here we're GONNA. Be Talking about a rather novel interesting use case around optimizing what food items airlines have, which is just just a really interesting example personalization inventory management Hugh, tee off the problem like what this airline was going through why was relevant to the business, and then we'll talk about a after. The sure thing Dan. Thanks so much for for having really happy to be here to talk about it and yeah. So basically, you know one of our customers is isn't airline Let's say international carrier flying around the world. As you can imagine you having flown on planes yourself maybe not a lot in the last year. But too much. Exactly. Yeah I know the feeling you know the experience they come down the aisle and they're asking, do you want the chicken? Do you want beef or do you want the vegetarian? And maybe you've seen up in the ahead of you that man that chicken looks really good and Kinda get your heart set on the chicken. Got Your answer all teed up flight attendant comes by What would you like to eat? I, want the chicken and say I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry we're all out on because everyone's chicken. So one right you're having a frustrating experience now imagine what happens then when they get to the back of the aisle and they did their best they over stacked. Meals meaning that they bought a bunch of meals. They spent the money on those meals. They put them on the airplanes the heated up, they flew them around the world. And what did they have to do with them upon their arrival at the destination led to just throw them out right which is bad. It's bad for from a cost perspective it's bad from the actual cost of food up an environmental perspective would waste sure. But also just burning that fuel justifying around unused beef dinners right and so that's kind of context that they. Were in you know looking problem both from inventory management, you know the logistics of getting the right food in the right place at the right time. But also from a customer experience standpoint where they want to maximize the pleasure, the the positive experience that you have in the more often they can allow you to say or they can say, yes, of course we have that. The happier they're going to be. So they were looking at that problem really from multiple angles and trying to solve for multiple constraints at the same time, which is I think pretty pretty interesting right where you have a single use case, which is both a logistics, use case, a customer experience use case and one where you know they were really hoping that they could go beyond kind of the traditional method that they were using for stacking their planes. Yeah. So again, different, not not unlike a lot of complicated business solutions you you've got. A couple of axes you WANNA maximize right it's very unlikely. You're going to get to the very top right corner you WanNa be somewhere in the in the top right quadrant you me and might not be able to be in the corner getting even to the quadrant could be so impactful how were they solving this problem before handing? How are they estimating? Okay. Well, the Chicago Flight historically has more beef like are they tracking sort of consumption from different takeoff locations or whatnot? How how are they trying to square the circle before? Yet, and so of course, a big part of it was that they did have that historical data but the way didn't generally the planning was being done was with basically meal planners. Kind of part of the inflate experienced team just planning what they thought would be best given given what they know given the feedback that they're getting from the flight crews about the quality of the meals, the quantity of the meals in what they were serving. But again, it was a very manual process in very much based on human intuition about how they would just look at the feedback that they were getting look at the number of meals. uneaten look at the meals that were consistently running out and then do their best, which is what you see. Often with a solutions rate historically, people have been doing an okay job. But where the promise really is a is often on those use cases where as a matter of fact, thanks to how the algorithm works it's able to process a lot more information it's able to ingest all. Of that historical data in really actually come up with a better prediction than even the you the the line of business experts would have been able to do themselves. Yeah. I I think this is the great promise I think in order to get there. Now, we'll transition into into the one here. Again, I hope for the listeners tuned in this as a representative case of anything inventory anything personalization. I wanted to pick this use case because it's just airline meals is just such a unique low funky funky. And Fun with this clearly to get to that top right quadrant to do better than human intuition, we would need to have a grounding in reality that machines could train on and it feels to me like well, we need to know maybe we'd know forever given flight. What did we have an inventory I have no idea that this was track. But what what do we have at takeoff? What are we have it land which items were thrown out. So when we take off like we can presume which ones were. Eaten based on what was gone, and then we would need to potentially in an ideal universe. Know How many people said I'd like to check in. They were told well, we don't have it anymore. That's probably not trackable. No, he's got a checklist or clicker that they're entering their but but it would seem like, okay are those data points retrain train off or is there something broader that this system had to draw from? Well, what's involved to calibrate this problem because we gotta have that baseline data but what is it? For sure. Yeah. So what's what was great was that they did have all the knowledge of what came onto the flight in what came off the flight but to your point, right they did not have any sense of every time. There was a sort of a frustration point unfair other than anecdotal report you know kind of self reported from the flight routes sort of. Things that's not going to be enough volume to

Travel to Oaxaca

"I'd like to welcome to the show Susan met Naski from Brooklyn, tropical E. dot com, and that's tropical with an I at the end but a put a link to that in the show notes Susan Welcome to the show. Thank you. Thank you so much for having and Susan. You're coming on the show to talk about one of my favorite places in Mexico. Of course, I haven't been every place Oaxaca. and. Why are you talking about Wocka? Well, it is also one of my favorite places. It's actually my favorite place because I now live here after I think my first trip was in two, thousand, fifteen and. I just kept coming back and back for months at a time, and then finally I had been traveling fulltime for awhile I'm a travel blogger and when I was just ready to settle down, this was the place that was at the very top of my list. Excellent. Well, and I understood after reaching out to Susan that she was a longtime listener, the show which is always fun to hear it is a big honor for me to be on this show when there was a time many years ago I wasn't able to really travel, and this was my constant source of inspiration. I cannot imagine a time not be able to travel except of course now but right. Excellent and why should someone go to Hakka? So I think that the thing about Oaxaca really. So special and is not often matched in other places is that it's so dynamic. There is such a depth and breadth of things to do and learn and taste and understand here. It's so easy to fill a week itinerary full of all these things and not just one type of thing but a huge variety of things. So there's incredible culture here. There's history. An Amazing Food and mess calcined beautiful nature artisan work. So there's really something for everyone and It's just such a dynamic place to learn over of everything excellent. What kind of Tannery or are you going to recommend for us where we're GONNA start so? Worked on this a lot of years there because as I say, there's so much to do and I actually hear over and over again that people come here they plan a long weekend trip and they pair it with Mexico City or the coast or other places in Mexico and. On their first or second day they're already planning a return trip because they realize immediately that there's just such a huge amount of things to do. It's such a beautiful place such a compelling place. So I've come up with a seven day itinerary that I think is really a nice balance of all these different aspects, the nature and the culture and history in the food and artisan work and I. think that's a great way to have your first trip to a Hakka to have a little bit of a balance of all the things and learn a little of everything and. WELL ROUNDED PERSPECTIVE OF OAXACA Going Day one. Well so I have this kind of divided by Oaxaca city and then day trips and I think that one way people go wrong is they don't necessarily know that the day trips and and the villages and the nature sites archaeological sites outside the city the number of things to do outside of the city is equal or more than within the city. So. I think that the best way to kind of approach your race to think of it more or less than a fifty fifty way that maybe you're going to be doing day trips about as many days as you will be just strictly inside the. So I I'd like to just kind of talk about stuff within the city and then later I can get into the day trips if that works for you works remain so. Has Been inhabited since eleven thousand BC. So it has an extremely long history a really in depth history, and that's part of why a lot of the places outside of the city are so important the pre Hispanic archaeological sites and villages that still hold to their traditions. But also the city itself is quite old and the modern day city started to be built in fifteen hundreds when the Spanish were here. So there's still lots of historical sites to see in the city that are important and also beautiful. One of the best places I think to start is south of the Mingo Church that is an ex convent that has now been converted to a church and a museum and a ethnical garden, and it's also just kind of a big meeting point in the city for tourists and for locals as well. It's great for people watch chain there's lots of street food outside. So it's a great place to start, and then the museum there is great. They have lots of great exhibits about the history and Culture Haka. Big. Museum. Not a big museum but. We're seeing and also is a great way to get a look inside at the architecture of this gorgeous ex convent and then the ethnic botanical garden that's on the grounds as well is really fantastic. It's required to take a guided tour. And I wouldn't say it's for everyone because if you it is to at least two hours and it's very in depth about plant life and history culture. And I love it and I think it's amazing. I'm taking up multiple times bill. Some of those plants are important to people because some of the local plants give us things like Miguel so. Exactly. So. But I definitely recommend it for most people. The thing I think is really special is they really go into the history of the most important plants and the cultural significance and you get to see things like the predecessor for Korn that was found here in the valley, and that is one of if not the most important ingredients in food items in all Mexico and a lot of the world, and so there's just a lot of amazing insights and things you can learn about plant life in this really biodiverse state if you're into that kind of thing.

Lines At Food Banks Grow Longer By The Week

"Ten thousand cars waited hours in line for emergency food assistance in San Antonio last week a drone photograph of the pack parking lot circulated across the country maybe solace I mean these were some of the more than twenty million unemployed Americans many of them recently laid off because of the pandemic and here's John Burnett reports that lines at food banks like this across the country are growing longer every week huge food warehouse on the outskirts of San Antonio is stacked four stories high with apples oranges and watermelons the taters tomatoes and onions chicken ground beef tater tots a quartet of forklifts working like soldier ants is filling a truck with Alex Berenson the stock refrigerated frozen and non perishable and non food items so it moves through our facility at a fairly rapid pace obviously now in the midst of covert nineteen the demand is far outpacing the supply CEO of the San Antonio

The Walmart Haul Episode

"All right. We're GONNA jump right in. It's a Walmart Hall. Which means we have lots of products that are ready to be chewed and sipped and swallowed starting with the above all of the above. Not necessarily in that order. But first we have tiller and hatch pressure cooker meals chicken Tortilla Stu so basically these are frozen bags of food items that you throw a pressure cooker or these days. We know it as an instant pot and so it's already made so he just throw the what the contents of the bag into the pressure cooker and IT COOKS UP PRETTY QUICKLY. So this one says only gives you stove top directions to which is nice. I had this. Oh you add water to the pressure cooker. Then you add the sauce than the rest five minutes and then when the timer goes off wheat four minutes. This is basically a nine minute meal. But then but you do have to heat up. Depressurize your pressure cooker. So I wonder if it's really quicker than using stove-top but well I don't know but I'm interested to try it because one cup has one hundred ninety calories four grams of fat and four smartphones points. I know you've got that fast because I'm starving fun and have lunch. Mike is not eat lunch. He's about to chew on Jamie's hand but now we're going to try this. It looks very soupy but this is a chicken stew that was made in a pressure cooker. Or in a I'd like you pass Utensil. Thank you so much wonder. What the origins of the word like Stu like as far as you know what you're doing that's STU maybe names to studio originally it make sense doing it Well it's really good. All right that chicken. This tastes like homemade. Mom's chicken suit and there's corn in it. It's very mild but it's flavorful. This is really great. Comfort food totaling. I love that it's not too salty. Yeah what's sodium? Like on six sixty for a cup so it's not low but let's put that over cauliflower. Rice I love. It was like chicken tortilla soup but with corn beans. Yeah so it's really delicious. It's unexpectedly tasty. We're off to a good start. Okay next up. The product is called mighty spark all natural premium cuts of chicken PROSCIUTTO WITH TOMATO. Basil and garlic seasoned ground chicken so this is basically whereas the packaging of that. Is it a It looks like you buy it in. Like the butcher section where you would buy like genealogy so it's ground chicken smells so good smell it. That's already been flavored. We just throw it in my rankin. Who's probably with like Marinara sauce or something? Who took a big hunk of that? Yeah probably but it already has like what's in it seasoned Rochetta Wise. It's tomato Basil Garlic That's really I love that you don't like about it. It's a little different like sometimes we do the shortcut thing where we Italian seasoning. This doesn't hit you over the head in the same way. Like you really taste the basil or things. He's so good you're probably instead of making ground meat out of it you can do like a meatball or something or Turkey ball. Yeah yeah or like a really fun Burger. I love that. Like sometimes they'll name it something like Bouchette and then you taste it. And you're like they should've just called it tomato garlic. I like that really delivers on the shuttle flavor. Absolutely it does and four ounces. One hundred sixty calories eight grams of fat for smart points to for to that is excellent. All right next up. We have hunts chilly kit. Just add meat. Ready in twenty minutes. So it's brought to you by. Hunts the people make ketchup? You know the people who make the the other ketchup. And it's a chilly kit. So this is a little bit. It's a smart thing you it's ready in twenty minutes you everything you need. Except for the ground meat of choice we decided to make it with extra lean ground beef and as it is without the beef or any of the meat. Three quarters of a cup is one hundred calories no fat and three smart points as package so it has like the little tomato the sauce and the beans. So we're GONNA try it already semi seasoning. I think That everything I've rhythm Kinda tastes like catcher. I was GONNA say days like they're less good ketchup. I kind of was I. Wish hines me this. What did hunt do before they did? They just automatically become tiniest competition or they have something else besides the ketchup tomato people. Yeah think they do a lot of tomato? This is not an this is not the. It's good but it's not great. It's a little like sour acidic facing. I think it might be good for kids for effort forever not forever viral with that. Yeah I don't know anyway. Let's move on next one. I'm kind of excited about because I saw this as I went up to the kitchen. And the back. They were prepping. It see cuisine smart indulgences Tortilla crusted. Wild Alaska pollock. I would say Alaskan but it's called the Alaska pollock. I guess and the thing is I think seek was in listened to us or took our idea and ran with it but basically we have made a Tortilla in crusted chicken. This is a Tortilla incrusted. Pollock which I didn't realize anyone ever called anything pollick. I thought pollock was just like fake crab the other white meat even the other whitefish before you tasted the story with C. Cuisine. They're the ones that made the salmon that we didn't like didn't they? Make one thing we liked and one thing we know I think this is like their redemption. I love it. You know what I like about it. It's like soap crispy and crunchy so it's Each belay has two hundred and forty calories. Six grams of fat seven smartphones. That's really tasty. That's like the best fish on the planet it is. It does taste like a fish. Stick to air. Fox did we airfreight or BEGA. How do we do it? I bet we have tortilla crested wild Alaska Pollack with smart ingredients. Oh Yeah do you see all the different things that goes on the cross. Yeah we named him so they are Yellow Corn Black Bean Jalapeno Chili tomato lime cumin Cilantro. Paprika they did not dial it in. I want more of that. It's Great Roy. Wheels aren't turning when the cameras. There are no cameras but when when the audio wasn't rolling I'll be eating more about if we had cameras rolling. Do you think we would do our little dance. In the beginning of the episode with the Music Lisa kind of has like a like a ninety s like Humpty Hump kind of thing. I don't have it. I don't know what you're no. No you did this did that. Jamie Jamie Shuffle. Bought my head your head. Okay all right. We should have cameras rolling. Okay moving on. This is an exciting product for a knife. I WANNA cut these. This is fun because I grew up as a white castle fan. I'm a New Yorker. My Dad and I like if we were sometimes alone on father's Day I don't know why we would be but a couple of years I remember. We went to white castle father's day when was like seven. I don't know where my mom and my siblings were. But we were there now. They're making Vegan White Castle. Black beans sliders stats are incredible but little little side. Note here about me. Because I'm from the West Coast. I've never been to white castle. The only white castle I know of is the frozen white castle.

Entering the 3rd Trimester of Pregnancy

"Yeah we've got lots to talk about about what's been taking place but I think the place that I want to start is how this trimester started which which is with a baby shower which was literally at twelve. Just after the start of trimester three it was at thirty weeks. We had a beautiful baby. Shower put on in by. My Mom. Jesse's MOM Jesse's aunt and future sister-in-law were all part of this and they are such an amazing team. Just how amazing was the shower. You're all it was perfect and the interesting thing too. Is that this group arranged the decorating for our wedding and for your wedding shower and now the baby aby shower so there's been a real consistency with the look and feel of each of these milestone events in our life. Yeah well a lot of it is. Diy they all Are Very crafty very artistic and they do everything from scratch like all the things that are hanging in the banners and everything's very rustic Artsy Z.. So the decor was amazing and beautiful and so me. The theme was kind of a tea party which was perfect. It was an afternoon tea party and it was a great opportunity to you. See Friends and family celebrate me and the baby and Jesse and obviously it was a great way to get some gifts of things that we need. And because Jesse and I are first first time parents. We don't have any siblings. That have kids. Were the first in the family. So there's not really a lot of ham down coming our way. We decided that we need a lot of stuff and having to be a great way to do that so we were very lucky. We're very grateful for all the beautiful gifts that we got and we are well stocked up. There was a couple of interesting things that we took on with the shower. One being that instead of cards we decided that people would bring a book their favorite kids book doc and right inside it as if it were the card so we actually in the nurse three three or four bookshelves floating ones put up by the crib. And and we've now got those loaded. In more of all these amazing books that have been vetted and curated by our family and friends which is just amazing and Marnie. I've actually been periodically reading these in bed at night to the baby and yeah it's just so much fun. I can't wait taxi. Read it when the baby abuser side to the little one. Yeah just so excited. I have to comment actually help finding some of these books are. They're so cute. I don't think I've ever read like newborn early early early. Baby Bucks to like some pages one word on it or it's like rough or or they're so cute they make me laugh. It's quite about the picture. It's about time times and the story is a little bit short grain. There are a lot of fun over so grateful though we have literally enough books to carry through till five years of this child being and alive. So we've got lots of education and lots of beautiful presence as they said and things that are very functional that we've put into place in our home. Yeah we're very grateful. We got a really good start to this baby's life. Yeah we really WANNA put out there thank you for all the generosity from family and friends and we were embraced with love and warmth and yeah we just got so much incredible stuff so thank you guys and we even got a couple of gifts from some of our listeners. So we just want to thank those of you. Who took the time to send in a gift for tab so kind? Thank you so much something else. I wanted to mention too that we did actually actually in trimester to was a photo shoot Jesse and I wanted to capture the moment of my belly bump and and you know I was going through this phase together and how special it is and because it was fall and trimester to. We figured that was a beautiful opportunity to get some photos done. And it's great. It's great to have them printed. We've been using them on. Social media is just so nice to look back at them between me Jesse the baby and go. Gee We have some beautiful photography so for those of you who are going through pregnancy. I highly recommend booking a photo. Shoot either in your second trimester in the late trimester or in Trimester Mr Three depending on the weather for us. It's winter mostly trimester three so we wanted to have an outside photo shoot. That wouldn't work so well but yeah. This is something that I highly recommend you do as a couple. Yeah we had a lot of fun with it and it's interesting because we did do it early on but that day in particular while we're by the water for once I think think that influenced the temperature but that day was frigid cold and obviously we don't WanNa have like our coats on for every picture tooks gloves but we had. I had a fun time. Go Gee was there like Marty mentioned and we're just so grateful. We took the time to do that. And I think it's really important to capture a lot of images during your pregnancy anyway anyways like whether it's on your instagram or just for your own use you're gonNA WANNA look back on those and see the growth of your belly to see changes in your body and you. You don't WanNa miss out on that. I've spoken to a few people who regret not taking enough pictures during their pregnancy. And something that I've done over on my instagram account. If you do happen to follow me. It's at Marnie Wasserman. Every single week and for me. The weeks change on Wednesday and every Wednesday. We've been posting picture ever since week. Fourteen of the size of the baby in a fruit or vegetable or some food item. And it's mostly been fruits and vegetables and it's been really cool. Jesse's been awesome at being the photographer for these. We've been really creative around our a home and outside to capture these and I just love having it as a little story book and a Memory Bank for me to look back on just to see the progression of the pregnancy. I think it would be really fun because these turned out so well to collect them put them all together a little tiles and frame it and maybe put that in the baby's room just thinking talking of as as we're talking here but yeah it's been really fun to be creative each and every week and try and figure out a different setup and pick from the different fruit and vegetable options. So we've had a a lot of fun with it. So speaking of which this week I think baby is the size of or the length of a leak. I think that's what we're coming up on at thirty eight weeks six. And Yeah just in terms of my body changing over the last trimester. It's been interesting the baby's still growing and I'm definitely my belly is getting bigger. But it hasn't been as much of a difference as the second trimester when she say jazz like Second Trimester. It's like Whoa all of a sudden my belly just came out of nowhere and now it's like slow growing. Yeah I noticed that you notice it. But it's hard to see the difference. Yeah it's not as dramatic for share but I guess every week when we go now to our midwife appointment and they take the measurement tournament we are seeing that growth. But it's like all of a sudden you go from nothing to showing that bomb. It's really yeah dramatic. And then now it's more subtle but we are seeing it through the measurements because the measurements. Actually line up to the week. So yeah the funnel height of the baby matches up typically to the week which which is really cool. So the baby's been moving lots throughout this entire trimester. Lots of wiggling lots of jobs. Lots of pokes we we sit and sometimes watch my belly during the day or at night because this baby is very very active. It's not just one time a day. It's all day long and it's been really cool just to try and figure out the body parts. I've been trying to do a little. Bit of belly mapping which is something you can look into that. There is a way technique to try and figure out where exactly exactly the baby's position although this can change but it is kind of cool just to see where the feeder where the back is where the head is and often. I know where the head is because it's hiccuping and I can feel it down in my lower abdomen and I feel these hiccups and it's just it's really cool. That's always superfund when Jessie Mary feeling the hiccups at and a little bit of a hint tour. We're GONNA get into later. We actually have some definitive imaging to show the position of the baby. And there's a story behind that we're going to get into a little. Oh Bet but yeah. It's been really fun to watch. The movements feel the movements and we've tried to capture the movements because they are so dramatic now at the end of pregnancy we tried to take video and capture. But I don't think it's really translating that. Well 'cause we just want to have that memory to be able to go back and and look at that someday so luckily were slowing down and being present and embracing in the moment if the video doesn't work which it looks like it's not but it's been fun to try and capture especially for my parents who aren't aren't here and they're living in Toronto so they are not really getting to see me and my belly often so be so cool for them to see the movement but as he said it so hard to capture so we can only describe it and hopefully they'll see it soon will since we're talking about the baby's positioning. We'll just get into something that came up during this trimester. That was kind of unexpected which was at around week thirty two we were at amid with a point and they were feeling around and they were like we have no idea what position. This baby's end we just. I can't figure it out I'm like I don't understand. I feel the hiccups down low so to me it seems like the head is down but they were really unsure so they kind of have left it and left me feeling that this baby was in a frank breach which is the position where the bum is down. The legs are up and the head is up. So it's kind of this really awkward position but again Jesse and I were like all right. This is kind of weird. This is right before the holidays and I was a little uncomfortable with that information formation and because it was the holidays there is going to be a time lag between when we saw the midwives again so being proactive. People that Jesse and I are we got on top of it. We started doing research. I I had heard about a website and a resource called spinning babies and I was looking into a trying to figure out that these are the exercise I need to do just in case. His baby needs to flip but I wanted a second opinion so we went to a chiropractor that specializes in the webster technique which is a procedure that helps loosen the MOMS ligaments in her legs to encourage the baby to have room. They're not actually doing any manipulation on the baby. It's just strictly on the mom to help the process so we went and had that done and she also confirmed that the baby was not head down at that time this was at thirty two weeks and she was like okay but we can do

"Hello. Latinos will launch audience. This is the first time I think I've ever done an interview without shoes. The reason is because I am heavily engaging here in Honolulu and the reason why I'm here in Honolulu is because I presented in a panel on native resistance. Bud Bud enough of that. I wanted to introduce my guests. We have a small interview. And it's a person that I talked to you about before. If you remember number we had a conversation with annuloplasty they librarian Of the IR collection at the Newberry in Chicago. And we talked about anti-colonial gestures and and you've heard me say that over and over again not talk about the colonial talk about anti-colonial gestures. I actually learned that from my friend. I'm Ed Rodri- Guess I add Alaa. So I netted I met in Grad school hung ago. I think it was in the early two thousand right something like Ebola. We both have white hair now. We didn't then. Yes it's it's it's pretty sad lower bingo communist Santa Claus. Yes so we met in Kirsten buicks class on race and gender and we started talking because we both work on on images of violence which we will get into. But but let's get into the most important things. What are we just eat? We just had It is rice ace with like a hamburger patty on top and then a fried egg which wasn't runny. which was a disappointment? Right was it just me. I was disappointed. It wasn't running But it has baulked is a slightly soft fried egg and then a beef gravy with onions and mushrooms and a side salad. And what do you think of it. It was amazing. I A local for the first. I told the airport last time I was here and I wanted to and then we were back home and we made it like three times but I I make my gravy with with uh-huh Bacon Grease yet. Well yes also where we had. Our local MANCA was sort of like look like a juice bar so I I was afraid. It wasn't going to be greasy. I was afraid it wasn't going to be Bacon which was true. It wasn't but what it did have was an ample amount of salt and it did and it reminded me of. I don't know if you've had this where you grew up the first cafeteria right. Where like and my parents used to take us there after church because you didn't pay for kids so they just put stuff on our trail? Be Like you're having this. You're having this. You're having this right but I always got the Salisbury steak was mushroom gravy. That's what this was like and that's the thing about Hawaii like off of posts hosts mid twentieth century. How wuyin hybrid military fast food items type of food right? Yes because my father was born here so his dad was a marine So there are these Mexicans out at in the Pacific. His Dad's marine. I don't know what he did wrong but he got sent back to Mexico but my dad was here for twelve years of his life right so so he remembers the way that things that were rationed foods became part of the local foods. Right things like ground. Beef things like like hamburger things like spam right So we grew up with a lot of spam and we see a lot of spam here and here there's like seventeen kinds of spam. You can get there's a Jalapeno spam. There's Teriyaki Spam So yeah it it. It is really interesting to think about the way that like canned hand foods that was coming as part of the military occupation which continues Really transform local foods. And that's what I think about every time we'll get more soobee which we've gotten three times my husband we're obsessed with it but it's because we forget for example that that Eh Japanese built this town ride so they've been here as working force for one hundred years so that's why you have this weird combination. Should I had the best thing I've had so far was spam Masugi but it has eggs bacon and avocado. Yes yes yes yes yes yeah and you you you see that. That's why love local Manco and even though immunize be What some people may deem as how than-thank Hawaiian does it kind? I remember like that's the kind of cultural shifting things that I like in cuisines that are like to to have. That's why Love tex-mex food because for for some people may not seem authentic whatever the fuck that means and we talked about this over and over again but it is. Those adoptions two different casinos. That's why I love new Mexican food too and we've had entire episodes just talking about new Mexican food because we get Mexicans in New Mexico saying this is not Chile Colorado. Hashtag my dad right now. It's funny because when you when you say you know why we were here. It was part of this native resistance conference but one of The colleagues I know who who is indigenous of the upper North American area near the Canadian border. She had all all these photographs of herself doing authentic indigenous things here and it was so interesting to me because yesterday she was posting photographs of finding macadamia nuts. Like in the wild which was in the park off the resort. And she's like found like in the wild and I was late to a panel. Because I always picking Macadamia nuts. And then she she had all these pictures of her trying to open them and peel them. And whatever and then I'm talking to Manuel your husband and he's like those came with this is right. Those are not Hawaiian. Traveling with my husband is just like discontent because everything like this plantar now from. I'm here that trees from here. That is Never Amir. Any reminds you that we are in heavily colonial setting but people are so obsessed with living the Hawaiian fantasy honesty. That they forgot that yes. Yes like walking down the street with him as like why Wa wa right because you're like Oh this authentic thing and it's like it's not it's not that's so funny but anyways so let's get into your research because it's super fascinating and I think a lot of a lot of people have not heard what about this material that you've been working and I know you move forward you move on and you working on other things but I really WanNa talk about on your research on the lynchings things over Mexicans in In Texas ryden specifically in Texas a lot. But there's also plenty of cases in New Mexico and what would become Arizona Definitely California what's interesting about that project. Is it started with a complete false false premise. And and I'm really proud to say that that I started with a false premise and my false premise was There's this phenomenon that is a footnote in in Carey McWilliams North from Mexico and in this one footnote he says more more Mexicans pins were lynched in the southwest Than African Americans were lynched in the south and he gives no data. He doesn't doesn't tell you how he comes to that conclusion right. It's just this little footnote your leg. What a what a what? And so I and so I kept so I start with this false premise of like. Can I prove this number right. Because it's like it's making the the first problem problem with it is. It's making this comparison as though they're two distinct populations and they're not right Like in the eyes of the state. It's the the person that is lynched. Is the same thing right right and also you know we have a good number of African Americans Akins who were populations fleeing enslavement who were fleeing south into Mexico where slavery had been unlawful long long before the United States right

"It also will also wake up and just like basically half go go ba- basically to sleep while watching soccer. The only part that Hank is making a good point in his basketball because that's they're going to be a ton of NBA games. Wanna stay up for this year with LeBron out in LA into wars, and it's going to be struggling. But guess what? Such is life. We chose nine, which is our point here. You should get the best. You should get a purple heart. If you watch sports in the eastern time zone. Yes, it's fucking hard work. It's hard work. All right. Let's finish it up with guys on chicks substit- cat PF t Bubba and not Hank if I did that was mean if I did it would only take me about a minute to do. So. Why do guys takes along to take shit? I've seen some men take from thirty minutes to an hour just to shit. I don't understand why. 'cause you're never always sure that you're done. There's, there's always. Chance that there's more and you don't wanna be wrong, not only that, but it's really just like our safe-space. It's the last day space for men. Finally, finally place where I can scroll Twitter, I phone. Yeah, if I had if I had to do it exactly the amount of like if I was like rushing, I could probably probably be in and out of the bathroom in like two and a half minutes. But instead I'd rather take twenty five minutes and just chill out. Yeah. I mean, it's no different than giving us a chair anywhere else. Right. We're going to sit down at four stay sitting in that chair. Yeah. Hey, PMT boys, especially PF t. so I'll get right to it. I've been dating for over a year now you're fuses to p while in the room. He says he's Pichon beta, but I don't really believe it. It's not like I'm trying to watch him p. I just think as part of most normal relationships. Do you think he's actually p shy or do you think it's a personal thing and he just doesn't wanna pee in front of me. I think he's got a week stream. He's got some stream envy where you're going to hear it, and it's going to sound like a little tranquil and which you got going on new p is louder than his p. And you can't have that unhealthy relationships. He sits when he pees I much. I do that occasionally occasionally, but I'm saying, I'm tired all the time. Yes, come on. Well, I wonder, can. Can he in a shower with you. You talking about shower sex? Yeah. Sachs's when you pee on a girl in the shower. Yeah, right. Hey, guys, especially PF t in his flourishing main day for you. So my boyfriend won't stop saying football is back, but I'm pretty sure it's only the preseason getting really annoying, but I don't want to dim his spirits. How long will this last until about January giving? I was gonna say thanksgiving is when when you thanksgiving is the first moment where I'm like football here. You know what I mean? Football's back all the way September October because you also get like Tober and college football rivalry week, start happening in conference play. So football fish lease-back thanksgiving. It is unless you haven't had a snow game yet. I know game in December and that's when football's, yes. So we're gonna need at least three more months of saying football's back every other every other sentence would what's more back right now, footballer shorts or tiger. Oh, my God shorts are on the way out. Don't me to eat on musk coming out with shorts. Yes, he's doing short shorts shorts. So people are shorting their shorting stock. And so he's trying to make a joke because he's funny, ha ha called short shorts, get it because he's that's good stuff. Billionaires got a sense of humor to he's really, he's really shown it there. "And we're not going to say, yeah, but tiger the tiger fact is very real. I mean, we knew this is going to happen, but it just goes to show like there's there's ever been someone who's meant more to one specific sport than Tiger Woods ago would so funny is that I bet you a lot of the viewers are tuning in for tiger our female viewers, and they're like the the wives and girlfriends of the guys that are cheering for tiger and they're like, oh, tiger go and they're like, oh, who's that? TV is tiger is awesome. They're like totally oblivious to the fact. They're storing up, spank Bank materials. Yes, he's got that. He got that. Look from Brooks kept cupcakes, Brooks Kuka girlfriend? It was. It was the look back and Kathy's back. All right. Before we get to guys on chicks we have an embrace debate. So this topic has come up because we're on the west coast, the time zones. Now, a lot of people seem to think online that the west coast has the best time zone for sports watching. That's the biggest hunk of bullshit as heard. So this isn't even embrace debate unless Hank wants to take the side of west coast, which I will. Okay. All right. So the news embrace debate. I don't wanna feel like we're ganging up on hat on either, but the central time zone as by far the best. The central time zone is by far the best. The problem with everyone who's like west coast is the best because ten AM football. I like ten AM is too early. It's way you wake up every object. What I like the idea of being able to sleep in past ten right on a weekend, not here. The issue is okay. I, I don't big at doesn't like in the mornings. I don't like in the mornings either. Almost like it less at night because people are like, oh, guess what? You can get all your games wrapped up by seven thirty. I don't want my games wrapped up by some thirty. Number one is it doesn't feel like a big game if it's Sunday night football and it's still light outside and and people just kind of like leave out so they that's their argument right away. Ten AM NFL football. How about the fact that college football starts at nine AM awful. How about the fact that Monday night football sorts of five thirty like you can't get four or five south. You're fucking missing the whole first half my ranking of time zones that goes central time mountain time, west coast, east coast. As far as I'm concerned, mountain time doesn't even exist would be if it did exist, it would be good. Yes. Central time is, is number one by far noon is objectively the perfect time to start a time and football ends at like eleven o'clock. The only problem with central time in Texas, at least is you're not allowed to buy beer before noon on a Sunday in Texas is everyone's at church and then so what. Ends up happening. You get in this line at the at the supermarket. That's like ten people long as all do. Just buying light beer. Just give me like Jeep wave. Hey, man. Yeah, forgot forgotten, man, it's crazy. Yeah, central. I like east coast better than west coast. Actually. He's cautious last suits go so fucking late every game like the NBA game. So Hank we want to argue for west coast can watch all the games you can every every night you can because sometimes when you watch NBA like by the time, the west coast game start, you're tired. If you don't. Nine thirty, but you can be done with all sporting events by like ten o'clock and still have a reasonable life. I don't. I don't wanna be done with sports by ten thirty all the way to the end. I want to go too late. I don't wanna go to early. Why are you advocating for me spending like two hours away, not watching sports, right. Good point, catch tongue, Berlet cracker. Wake up little earlier, so you go to sleep. That sounds like too much altogether? I did nine AM thing on Saturday because I I know. Don't you wanna soccer team? You wake up to watch ones? Yeah, I would have to wake up at fucking four thirty in the morning, four thirty in the morning. No, but I'm saying you do it now, do it now in the east coast. I just don't on that point because I'd have to wait up before thirty. If I wanted to watch..

"Go to dot com. Slash PMT for him. Stock com slash PMT. Okay, let's get this whole a whole. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Okay. Let's get you some segments. By the way we have Gerry Goffin Sean McVay also in the van coming up on Friday. Yeah, Negombo pursue was really nice. He was a very nice guy, but he hates quarterbacks hate when we asked him that he goes, yes, I hate is dead serious. Every single other like interaction we had with him. He was. He was pleasant, thoughtful when he put his elbow in my ribs that hurt when he hears the word talked. So I didn't say any cry or anything. I just helped a little internally took it. Yeah, right. Exactly anymore, sir. But yeah, more training camp stuff coming up on Fridays. Well, all right segments stay classy for James harden. So here is what has happened as far as I understand the situation. He was at a nightclub in Scottsdale with his friends as does his friends and someone else got into a fight. So not James harden a female was videotaping it. James harden walked up to her, ripped her phone out of her hands and throw it on the top of a roof. Now there's she. Went and got it. So she got the phone and it's fucking hilarious because you can see James harden, like show up out of nowhere. And then the cool phone thing where it's like whipping around in the wind lands right in on top and she she went to the hospital because she says her risk got injured. So that's smart by you varies. Oh my wrist. Oh, the only way it could have been better. If after the phone landed you saw like a dog, pick it up and then it just runs around. Yes, those are. The Dow would have been wonderful Hardin needs to take like a crash course from Tom Brady about how to destroy evidence because this is like this is some Bush league stuff that did you throw. You're supposed to throw a phone off of a roof onto the ground and not from the ground onto a roof, and it's actually more on James Harden's crew because, you know, say the p. word there, his crew, his group of friends, his entourage guys. They're the ones that are supposed to grab the phone, not the ones who get in a fight that gets videotape that. So James harden has to grab the full. That's true. It's backwards like he, he should never be. A phone grabbing situation. He just got into it and he probably should have done it. But, hey, listen, anything to distract the fact that you guys went over twenty seven from threes in game seven. The only way that this is okay is if the lady was using a phone that that was like an Android and she was on a group tax with our friends at you phones in which case I say that that's totally acceptable, grab it and throw it anywhere you want throw it and then now she's gotta get new. There's nothing better than getting a friend who was on Android back to back in the club. We've brought you. Awesome. James ordered should be like the the Verizon. Can you hear me now guy except for destroying phones that are not made by us, grabble dude, every time. Something like this happens. Like if you could just figure out a way, if you're James Harden's hardens agent, just create a commercial, like instantly making fun of this spring martial where you're just grabbing phones out of people's hands, throwing it than handing a misprint phone. Yep. And everyone was like, oh, that's funny. Absolutely. Does a great to one. Yeah, if you want stay classy, but it's hot van. So we have a good for golf grow. The game. The ratings came in from Sunday's PGA championship. They were up seventy three percent. Wow, so rounded down million people rounded down to sixty nine percent by Demirel to get social engagement..

"Yeah, but at the end of the day, yeah, we, it was a little controversial to say the least. So you also I'm a bears fan, so I hate you or used to hate hate you anymore, but you used to just kill Jay Cutler, and then you were as teammate last year. Was that awkward walking in the room? Like did he flinched when he saw you at first nudge as super, do. He's actually one of the few quarterbacks at fortunately being teammates and really liking rebel. Just the way is where the way cares himself. We actually had dinner and spend time together while use the Miami. So he's a real good do. All right. Good answer. Good answer. But you did like I remember that time that enjoy heading him though. Grandma's leave and you down by remember that. Little low love. Love to have leg whip type. Who some creative move had been with? Yeah. So you're pretty violent players sometimes did you ever like when you're playing Miami? We're like, why do I have to wear these candy? Ass. Uniform question didn't match up some good colors though. Orange had some swag to it, the south Florida vibes in in colorful. I enjoyed it. Enjoyed my time down there for sure. Okay. Your father is five eight held that hats actually perfectly. He took after his mother. My dad took after his mom, but on his father's side, everybody super tall. So I've got great grandfathers, seven, one, seven, two Gs six plus. So height runs on both sides. My uncles on my mom's cider, six, four, six, three. So we've got hide everywhere. Okay. Dad. Dad. That sucks. He enjoys it though because I mean, he's he's super still play soccer at this day and age in he's he's built to to to play. So he's enjoying, okay, I read that you you own a Guinness world record. Is that true? I do, yeah. What is it for for tweet up? I did it up in in Nebraska, and so it was it was a fun opportunity to do that in enjoyed it. Got to fly, but if you if you little tip, if you wanna grab a flight, you just like that and use a little bit and everyone's like, oh, I didn't think people van what's tweet. Oh, what's world record for tweet up for my for my recollection that tweet up was basically put it out on Twitter and having a collective group of people can meet you. And this is kind of like a little get together to say the least based off Twitter. Okay. So it was like a volume of people like how many people were there? Can't even remember. I know so long ago and have to go back and look, I could beat it. Yeah. Hey, there's an orgy and then I threw out the location and a bunch of horny. Dude show up simples that I'll let you have that. So do you consider yourself a nerd? I find myself very intellectual like to learn for sure. Okay. Because we're a couple of office or you intimidated by us because you're a nerd like we we aren't going to, but we could stuff you in a locker, right? This second one, it's got to be kind of the locker sandwich. Yeah, I don't know if you enough to keep me this way. Didn't see. You'll see euro my new. You know, my first move was your first move run away. Not not fascia, probably faster than me. All right, serious question. Okay. All right. So your career you've had like an unbelievable career in the NFL. It started out, obviously, with, you know, you got voted dirtiest player. You had the reputation that you you had the thanksgiving. I think it was back back thanksgiving's. They did. That's that's the lions fault for always playing on thanksgiving. Do you think that it's fair that you have that reputation still, even though you have been fine since two thousand fourteen? I've always looked at it from a standpoint of, there's always got to be a villain, and there's always gonna be the pretty boy. And so at the day for a time period, I've been that villain because of my physical guide giving town how physical I played. So I took it as a badge of honor and just understood that I'm going to continue to play the way I do, and people are gonna make their own notions and opinions, but they're making plays being dominant. Let's let's be fair, Aaron Rodgers. Put his leg under. Oh, neat. Your cleats that he was. He was drawing that penalty. You were walking..

"Yeah, and he's going well, he's not. He's it's gonna, be fun. Watching him, try to shoot and take shots from John wall and Bradley Beal. I'm also going to enjoy watching try to dribble. Yes, actually, like Kevin Durant. Everything he's good at is exactly the opposite of what tweet Howard is good at. Yeah, in actually and then Kevin rents, probably better at the only good thing that went Howard's good at blocking and blamed defense. Yeah, so that'll be fun. Yeah, that's gonna be great. A track record of developing talent pretty well in Washington DC. Don't they. Yeah, my other hot seat is ups, so Ben's overs got tossed in the cubs Burs game today. And on the way out, he said to unpire Phil cousin, which is great name, feel cousin. That's why we want electric electric strike zones. And I think this is going to be the moment where we get this debate going again and now going to be on the hot seat because they fuck up a couple times a year like agreed Asli. But if you get the, the media starts talking about it. We like one step closer to Joe west basically being out of a job. Yeah. Well, no, he's got his country. He'll be fine, no matter what he's he's got that wrapped up. But is that going to be one of those words that baseball players aren't allowed to say the magic words? Yeah. So just robot is now on the list. Electron strikes can't say what if we, what? If we put some Jeff visas dogs to to good work and just had them be the that would work too. I would like that except no banana peel. One weakness, stupid piece of shit. Dog my cool thrown is. Well, it was, I don't know if it's going to be this anymore. I was gonna say us because our love of the podcast game, but Hank has been in such a sour mood. Then I don't know if I can say this, but. Have our love the podcast game last night. We played some hoops and we got maybe a little high. It's legal in California. And even while we're sitting in the hot tub, basically interrupted like these people having a conversation, we spent the entire time doing basically a high podcast. We're just doing the show doing the show and doing a brace debate. Would you rather have a putting green in your backyard or half court in your house? All these stupid scenario would you rather have like a full-sized wiffle ball stadium in your backyard are two lanes of a bowling alley and your house? Right? Would you rather have there was like basically full court? Indoor basketball Trump's. All right. That's what we came down, right? Pretty much and like halfway through like, wait, we're just doing the show and then we just kept on doing. Yeah, so good for us for having the love. The game was like a. My favorite was fifty yards of perfectly manicured football field gridiron lines painted on it and uprights or a croquet lawn. Yeah, that was what we say. Football, football, football field? Football croquet would be nice. I don't wanna take anything away, gentlemen, sport, full game..

Pulled up, pulled a fast one on me because we just pull up the dodger stadium's up. No more time actually star. So if we wanna do real news, fake news were about ten minutes on the road. And I said, Hank, why don't you check the map? Because I don't seen in and out anywhere near here. And because as a terrorist within an out, he's like, oh, need into, you know. Very far away. I tried to made. I made a good faith effort to go to in and out we hanging. I tried to plan this out early this morning on the way to the Rob Lowe interview. We were both like, hey, would you want what he wanted for lunch? What wanna do for lunch. I wanted out and we wanted in and out. Way way way, food come and hang to crackerjack says, you starve me. A healthy tooth cannot withstand cracker Jack's Hank would have. He would not have been in the position. He's eating cracker Jack's if it wasn't for you. Right. I know. Hang said that he did not want to eat true or false tank. Did you say before we went to sleep last night, I said, do you wanna go in and out before Rob Lowe said, no. Does a long time about exactly. So this is all Ronin. But yeah, I lost a tooth and then as losing tooth tunnel, sort of watching the interview. And I was just like, hey, Tommy, it was a wild move and just turn me like, I just lost it to listen that we're talking about his Tommy Lasorda lost a few teeth. Yeah, you're baseball man. In the my cool thrown is do basketball. So they're back Zayn Williamson. My guy sounds ten, three hundred twenty pounds hundred twenty pounds probably bigger than like ninety five percents NBA. Now I think is the stat dunk from the free throw line kyri Jason Tatum about to take over for the Celtic. So it's going to be big, big win for Duke basketball. Great, both current and even count as a Duke basketball player. Nearly I dunno earned is his left foot. His late donated the mass Square Garden tournament and she December, yeah. Wow. Is that the one where like coach k. doesn't even wear tie, not choosing Bahamas, count, mother, cool his cows. So there's a viral song Cohen going out right now called bitch on the cow very catchy. "It out and let us know on twitter what classes you found that you took yeah photoshop bus i like that that thank you skills share and to leave all right i'm gonna this i brought a topic to the table that both a you know nothing about and i love you very much not not that you don't think about it but neither of you watch handmaid's tale however both of us know that we want to and that is just finish westworld so i'm down to start any i would contend handmaid's is better and i watched those i've watched both ruin through i've watched both and i can tend him made his better it's incredible it's i did the thing where i waited very long so i would have multiples because it was kinda one of those like the story is so good in captivating that i know i knew for the second season i would need to have at least three under my belt that i could watch session so i literally was like you know aching for it it's so unreal what on hulu the the story line is so good the storytelling is so good it's all post apocalyptic world if all this like insane madness went over it is a little disconcerting because there's a lot of stuff happening in our world today that noticing some parallels woman i am a little scared of bone but it's for the aesthetics alone like i don't know any other show that that is this as beautiful as this you're appreciating the production production values incredible i mean every shot is amazing the world building aspect of everything the only one i can honestly tack it up to his game thrones like in the beauty of it in the aesthetics in like how far they go for production that's the only one that i can contribute a great vision and the unreal the big i've been noticing is storytelling is incredible what's your name at would that wrote the book unreal like a beautiful stuff but the last that i not the last episode the second to last so that i saw the title is holly of the episode and i was like this episode alone will get her the nomination if not just defy the emmy nomination elizabeth moss who's the lead in it who she was a madman she's incredible she's real in this i haven't seen i haven't seen anything like this on television there's there's scenes in that last episode that i literally like i've never in my life watched anything like this on tv or on a platform like this it was i can't spoil it so it's always kind of really difficult but you're coming out and saying coming out and saying that came out but you also liked how action every acting all the acting is so good but the biggest thing with this was selling delmon about it my husband but it was an episode that like shook me for like a very long time like allowing latched onto my brain i couldn't stop thinking about i still can't stop thinking about it i'll like be driving and just like kinda think about it and like i'll tear up like genuinely will tear up and just be like oh my god in our parlor room the other day we call it a parliaments weird but we're probably the other day like the barna there's a baronet there's a player piano limit there's a pheasant there's a jack elope on your bathroom that's weird welcome it's like uk as like just thinking about who mates tale days later weeks later i shook fully get with black mirror that's so my question because i can't spoil anything and you guys should just absolutely watch it and then we can scream about it together i was at a party for the july and like me and this one girl started talking about it we just went into a weird corner like an induce and then this they're like you guys okay we're like yes leave us alone we're talking about him meets too but it's so good so what's one of those that like shook you for me prior to this the only thing.

"You know i i mean i'm trying to think of like there is couple where i actually like went to a friend's house and try to and i was like ono but i got a different five from in the beginning in the beginning i literally kinda went two black mirror with it and i was like this this can get scary like that it certainly could like it certainly could get to the point where you're like i don't i can't differentiate wanna live in the real very much so and i really do feel like you know it's like one we are in virtual reality right now or computers but we're not going to be lost oh no just think about it but flutters but what no it's really was one of those that i would just like this is too much i was at my friend barracks house and he like real name it is real name isn't that crazy no real name barrick hardly he's just i was at jarecki's house the guy that lives next balambo eric got really mad because people kept calling him barack and he was like okay do their parents not know what the letter d was i like derek will i like berry house and we did like some shark one and i literally was is that class and i has a shark thing it was truly terrifying and i really was like oh no i wouldn't weird hole where i was like this is going to get to the point where it's like real and like you touch and feel a woman you can do oh yeah i my favorite is showing like people from my dad's generation vr yeah because it's just like what is happening in your dad is visiting bring him do at sears bring them over and we'll show the dude it's amazing to watch our parents try it because it's like always fall they look cellphones they look at cell phone what is this they look at video games like this looks like a movie but he throw him in a virtual reality and it's like what are their brains yeah thinking you know well it's weird thing too because it really is i think it's getting so much better and i do think it's getting so immersive i do think that we're going to start getting to that point where we're going to be like this like is this a lot is it's always everyone's always felt that way about games period like whether or not it's the violent aspects of this whether or not it's like the fact that it emerges you so much that people will spend like seventy two hours gaming you know and the world is catching up yes the younger there's a slow acceptance happening and it's where we're seeing it right now in the mainstream is with e sports places like espn or covering it now it's the crossover is happening and we are years away from having ready player one s second life showed they'll put on the helmet they'll go in that's where they get that's that's where they live they there's probably going to be jobs within virtual reality as that are built up yeah yeah it's real there's like kind of like off the point of little bit there's a skyer him vr experience on the playstation and it was like so cool and so amazing that i was like i had to force myself to stop playing it and this just forget it exists as much as i possibly could get long just incredible it's just like you're in lord of the rings world and you with your controller this is your sword and shit and it's just like amazing i have a question for you because for me like i a big like outdoor person i like love that in like to me like you you sit in the middle of yosemite and there's nothing like it like it's just like sure smell sound kind of just messes you up on that level you know and you get like messed up from that when he was like i'm humbled i'm not but do you ever feel like it'll reach that level like do you ever think it'll reach yeah because with with the newest resident evil game they had like this candle you could buy that light while playing resident evil and it smells like a moldy dilapidated house and you light the candle and then like i had like.

"It's different oils now that mcdonalds fries they gave ruined mcdonald's but also like saved a lot of people people probably because beef tallow is if i'm not wrong it's just rendered fat right it's just rendered fat from beef now we were camping recently in my with my folks and everything my mother's southern my mother's deep southern tennessee emad kansas and tallow nickname no we don't in grief darla that's an ic name don't ever ever say it differently devin was like we're sorry lease mom fine she doesn't listen she's cool get a lot of work to do changing the world with her beef tallow nece no but we were cooking and she was like oh i say the bacon fat from this because like that that's such a tennessee thing of like saving bacon fat to cook any vegetable or anything in which is why the south is so unhealthy and don't just like what like he was like it's so messed up like what are you doing oh this is very common delicious delicious the tradition of making the molles to my includes monday kia which is basically like lard because no large and adding lard to to tamales is what makes them like so fucking delicious it'll kill you well even moderation well that's the thing that's like even mcdonalds in another weird dimension mcdonald's kept their recipe we just didn't shove them in your mouth as the way that we do now you know no but that is i mean i had a friend for years i would always get a bean and cheese burrito from this place and she's like it's just so much better than we were placed vegetarian turn she'd found way later on that they like worse and she is just like fucking care go and then you like and then you're like okay well let me go get this like how's this black bean like free tortilla like and you're just like this tastes like full balls like someone put it like it's dry full dirt and grass into a fucking paper plate in eight it roll the paper played around here's here's a free hop off on and it's delicious fucking live i don't wanna you're fixing wait so you're saying what's your favorite like well so what i wanted to talk about what your favorite fries i'm gonna i'm gonna partly this conversation's your favorite fast food fry and then after this debate that we're gonna have i wanna parlay that into a you're stuck on an island you're allowed to take your three favorite fast food items and this isn't we're not worrying about health or anything this is just straight up survived the last three things we're gonna we would you and i would definitely die on but we only get those three things and it's just one or it's like an unlimited supply these are the last three you get to eat for the rest of your like you'd get a cheesy gordy crunch for get really like it's just one meal it's those three things to your last three that you get to only eat these for the rest of those there's plenty of there's enough of them to i guess it's an elaborate way of saying what are your favorite food things let me go yeah there's like a magic box that has only the three of your favorite food and worrying about health we're not worried about calories is just like straight up gert okay so first of off knowing i know at some point in my history mcdonald's fries stopped tasting as good as what they used to taste like i don't remember that and that had i know why because it did like i thought they were the best on the planet longer think that addle close mostly cold your luckily you're super lucky if you get them hot it's i don't like eating them by themselves it's gotta be with burger yeah and now it's like if you eat them twenty minutes eight or these are trash is crazy i love mcdonald's for as they used to be number one for me there at.

"Kind of like a nice little sue than me baby yeah you're you're talking it's actually kind of npr do you notice that getting enjoyment out of my pain i live that at least someone is trying to make a pot in the face couple times thanks better i don't know about helped me really right but you just tell me about like just any border of any country to be like and they the talk about the border is that like 'cause that's what i feel like every npr guy would just talk about that or like anything there's a crisis at the border in nineteen eighties band related specific nation nineteen eighties band related that you have that you're just like oh just some knowledge yeah just like weird like going boy and go going oh boy and goes danny alphen and they were on the gong show npr wise triumph the lead singer of owing oh point go is danielle fman he was on the gong show back in nineteen seventy seven and we'll we're gonna listen to now is the title track of of owing point goes only a lad album the song's called only a lad beautiful joe truly truly outstanding the thing is that's not me no god no if i had a job if someone was like we need to hire you because that's the perfect like calm voice i'd be like it's not me i can't do a little tiny stevens side i think so but it's boys locked away tight npr is like it's very much like right here is like now what is the challenge of all of us or the challenge of things there's always it's a little bit of like con like you have to be but it's like a warm condensation condensation con condescend oh my god that's our improv onto liza rice condoms condiments what's the difference between condiments and fixings oh i think fixings is white trash so no no condiments are like the same definition no fixing their like biking curbside onions that's a fixing with all the fixings on it so it's like chead baking crumbles fries onion pea mixes and condiments aren't the saying oh good relish be fixing it could be fixing that's a condiment but it would be specific it'd be like a sweet relish that like gammy made you know what i mean like it's not going to be just like hind squeezed out of a tube now what if i was like seis seis burger fixing if what if i was like rage i got your burger with all the fixings alabama and you looked in onions lettuce okay so what something comes with yeah yeah if you said i got you with all the fixings and it was just catch him and muster it'd be like so fixings includes cheese just like what a normal burger would come cheese is not a condiment it's.
