We have a lot of people work. There have been here for thirty five years. It started on the packaging liner. Now shift supervisors and managers and things like that. So we like to promote from within You know so yeah. It's great opportunity for somebody that might be looking for work. So if someone's looking at lisbon. Ohio been spun to to buy it steadily growing and becoming a little bit more popular. Yeah it's not. As i mean granted for us it for me and can't go this. Probably what a forty minute drive out. It's about thirty minutes. It is the vegetarian restaurant opened yet. I don't think so last time. I talked to somebody. I don't think they reopened yet. But i hope to god they open sudas called the courthouse in and it is. If you are not a vegetarian you will still enjoy the meals there. I've been there. But i i heard greater it is really great. It really is good and then you also have numbers out there restaurants. If you want me just which is also really good. Then areas been growing a lot Especially in the colombian area. I now much do down there now. I mean they say real estate wise commercial and residential. That's where it's at. Yes columbia county right now. Which is amazing. Good for them right exactly. I mean why not so anything else. Did you bring any any dog treats whereas online come on. I'll let you choose. What do we have here. So there's there's a lamb liam and rice dog food dak chickpea sweet potato. I don't know if anybody would like that would have brought some more streets a nuclear try. We're trying one. Elizabeth chicken blueberry pumpkin. You know what's funny is so for our kids growing up. You know with the baby foods and stuff like that that they have After you know we tested or made sure that there was no allergies while blah blah. I used to like instead of instead of like making something separate. I used to take whatever my husband. And i ate and just blended to that work. He would probably be completely gross down. Actually did this at one of our our shows and had a really good too so one of the jerky is it. This is really hard air. Can i break it. Can't i here. You're going to have to have a whole one. i mean technically. It's it's safe for human consumption but not meant for human consumption. It says on the bag. Robust meat protein implant based superfood nutrition. I don't know if that doesn't follow every dietary need for us to consume but it sounds pretty good. Sounds good i ready. In our four companies for manufacturing companies and then we have our own brands Which is the blackwood adirondack. In nature brands brands that we own everything else. Is co co manufacturing. So we make other people's pets. Do you ever make a treat at a human would enjoy as well as a dog. You know we make our streets it's called million. They smell wonderful. Come off line notes. I've tried it yet. Good yeah it's very good a lot of so if you're ever on a trail ride with your with your order and you're looking to pack snacks. You don't need it. Had two different kinds. You can now just have that horse in you can share. That would be the same thing so you just need to do a dog treat so my son. Actually he makes dog treats himself who can end. He sells them at the youngstown. Lead to help raise money for animal. Charity is a huge animal. Charity advocate as as i am and him and his friends did. Try the tree and it was. It was definitely entertaining to. I'm sure because they just thinking you have just the wheat flour like peanut butter. Like i mean pumpkin puree like how could this really not yes. Good exactly it's the missing. The major missing component that us humans all enjoy in that sugar. Yeah exactly how when they chased it and realized that those sugar was involved. It didn't matter the dashes cinema. Not just like a conflict of interest your sons making treats and you know i know that's great but you guys do a lot of stuff for charity you do. Yeah yeah we were like to support community Obviously you know to give to dog rescues and things like that so we do not donate a lot of food there. "It's an about an hour. North of milwaukee and wisconsin So they are. They solely do freeze dried and they treats so kind of expanded our capabilities. As far as sarah's freeze dried there are yeah. Yeah yeah and then Earlier this year and last year We brought on miracle which is at dayton ohio so they do freeze right treats as well and they also do some like pet goods leashes and collars for dogs. Cats do some every year. He will be accessories to go along with the dog. Yeah that's awesome definitely into that now so the difference in. I don't know how well versed in how into what's the difference between freeze dry dog food and like or dog treats and a regular freeze dried. It's done in a freeze dryer kind of kind of similar to dehydrate dehydrated. So you're kind of taking all the water in a moisture out of that left with the actual you know protein source itself. Okay yeah nice. It's a very very light when it's out and yet it's it's a very popular right now. So where do you get the so you guys make the dog food. Reenlist bend we do. Yeah so where do you get your the ir even know what all making dog i. It's kind of an interesting. Because i do. I have a dog. i've always had dogs. But you ever look at the back of of the nutrition labels like we do in our own food and you see the ingredients on it but like but you look at it and it's like it's a pebble yanni really like. So we're all we're all drives extruded so just know kibbles and you know depending on what shape you want. That's what kind of die we put on it but Yeah it's really interesting process when you get into it. I when i started here Little over ten years ago about it. I kind of came from the transportation industry. How did you get started in the pet food so I've known a family forever. Obviously the holidays wants to start it so And then he went to another mooney family ahead to high school together. Just letting you. All down like cardinal mooney definitely the little secret society so what was that with the skulls. Maybe something that don't mess with the. Yeah so after college you kind of move around a little bit works a couple different places. ended Where did you go to school college. John carroll nice. Yeah that is a good call joined my time. There are a lot of little. I everybody from when he goes like seventeen kids for our class. Actually that is a lie. So transplant from youngstown. To cleveland they're so Yes and moved around a little bit move downtown. Pa moved to south jersey eventually hartford connecticut and then ended up coming back here Then moved the medina for a little bit. So i was working there and you know i was pretty close with traffic all day. Yeah and You know east. We started talking. You had a conversation about. Hey we're getting a place. Where our size that i can no longer handle. You know the hr functions will function safety functions. Things like that And that's kind of where my definitely don't want things to slide away. Yeah so a notion knocks on your door. Yeah so it's it's You know it's important stuff so we started talking and eventually You know i..

"Oh, my God. This is some deep shit right. Feminism's great. Man Will Manifest destiny women do whatever they want. fucking totally do whatever. Any human being out there you WANNA cut off your penis and sewing if a China. You can do whatever the fuck I told you. It's okay. Thank you who would. Right just don't tell me. I. GotTa Get my fucking kids to cut their fucking penises alright I'll draw the line there. But as far as women like doing anything yeah. You guys are great. Amazing and you're the most amazing nurtures and hormonally connected to the children. How do I know that because I had kids and no matter how much Mr Mom could play pay don't give a fuck soon as mom comes through the door whether she's exhausted from working or not. It's all about mom and it's all about mom until she goes to bed. So hormonally women are the natural nurtures but in our feminist climate today, you can't say that right? But I got a big fucking question because I'm a food activists WHO's watching the food? What happened the food in one? Thousand Nine, hundred, three what happened to the food? In Nineteen? Ninety six? What are they been doing to the food and then Fyi what happened to the kids what happened to seventy percent of the American people are obese or overweight wonder. We have childhood obesity why we have childhood cancer right now food is Madison and medicine is food. So what happened to the food? That's my big fucking question tell us. What the natural nurturers of the food weren't watching the food they were working in the workforce so Under fucking BRAS and made everybody else make sandwiches and now I have a beard because my hormones. Jokes on us because like truly I have like a growing a beard because I continue to dairy and I mess up and then I'm like I know dairy. It's dairy injected with the T from Monsanto fucking synthetic hormone that makes you grow the beard yeah. Right. So like I still love cheese pizza. NACHO PORNOGRAPHY, we won't get into this. So my advice is. It's a whole. Okay. But my advice is is studied Joel Salatin and his whole body of work. He was in food inc but he has cows and then he's got this little egg farmer rethink on a truck that goes behind the cows and then the bugs and the birds nail poop on each other and the eat and it's like this happy face farms like food is I. Yeah. Original food is food everything else that's on the commercial market and that's process and is not fucking food. It's poison people. That's the bottom line. Spend the money on organic food eat. Pay The farmer pay the doctor your choice pay now pay later your choice people get very like emotion I. Try to talk to my parents about this tribalism i. Tribalism we were like Arby's and my dad has a trimmer on his hand and I was telling him about the food he wants to eat. He was like shaking like this isn't true and I'm like. So. People are probably feeling emotions come up, but that's It is true. Guys. Food is Madison. said that in the third century, BC we base our whole medical industry on this motherfucker right food as met. Let Food Be Madison. And Die. Medicine..

And when I saw the food Inc documentary, I was like, Nope. Not eating chickens anymore. Totally. Yeah, I read eating animals. Yes. And that was it for me. But I don't I wouldn't say that I like identify as vegan because there's still a lot of animal byproducts that I own still have silk, I have a ton of leather stuff. I still have some non vegan product. So I wouldn't. But I am practicing a plant based diet at the at the moment. And it out and it has been so exciting. Yeah. So that's not really a self care Mitchell. It's I think it's fun too. I think what you're saying is, I'm experimenting with what I'm eating and how it's making me feel xactly, and that's fun. I think I've always kind of equated my time with food is like a self care practice. There's nothing better than nursing your body, your nursing yourself. Exactly is one of my favorite things in the world is cooking myself dinner completely alone in my apartment, sitting down on the sofa watching TV and eating it. That's one of my favorite, that's self classify that as a self rituals. It is one hundred percent. I love that. Okay. Can we just here like what is on your face right now? Y'all let's talk about it. Okay. We love has been so fun. So obviously a little bit. Their routines are informed by whatever I say, I'm like, Augusta cream or whatever that I haven't been using made me break our get outta my face. However, I've been experimenting with what they use. "One hundred ninety eight pounds in one year. Couldn't get two hundred extra too. I would've sweat that off on the scam. Appointing give our condolences and tell us. Point next time. Absolutely luck externalize strike again. Do do do you feel? I'm starting you know, we do a a sort of the haves and the half knots. Like, so we're constantly painting. This thing where it's like a handful of people are getting richer and everyone else's getting poor. But I'm starting to think it's that way spiritually like I think there's a handful of folks that are just going out getting like like into the brain into the body into all the science and neuro biology and science and all the stuff we're discovering about what the brain. And then doing all the things that DP yoga, I did cold plunges. The extender runs are listening to this all the stuff that's out. I'm not talking about rubbing crystals and praying to smoke in hoc, I'm talking about like real nutrition, real, spirituality, real whatever. And then the other half is. Just eating at AM PM because they have tacos that have been shoved into corn dogs at now have chili and they're just going to veg out on fortnight or ironically events with Novell. No veg. Yeah. Yeah. There is no vad inventing out. And they're just gonna play endless video games in binge-watch. You know, whatever whatever the latest Netflix series is like do you feel like like remember they talked about like there used to be middle class? It used to be. I'm talking about a middle class, but not like a class. Middle class. I'm just like a wellness middle classic. There's no was morbidly obese when I was a kid. It's not fifty fifty no not now like in five or eighty seven or eighty nine eleven. No, the people who can't be all those eleven shots that number. Well, what you're saying? Two hundred ninety eight pounds certain never to sort of people don't have to work at it. Certain people can eat plastic which is kind of knowing for the people who really gain weight by looking at food. So what I try to everybody is trying to educate them, and I have them watch movies the movies, you'll never see on cable or network television. But was like food Inc. Genetically GMO O M G like watch those movies cause you'll never see them on the main stations because how could they have Papa John's for five ninety nine. Now US me being you too far apart you're younger than I am. But we're not far apart thirty years ago. Do you remember when Little Caesars anyway hits little stake in his thing with flippity pizza pizza? Six ninety nine thirty years ago, bro shouldn't that pizza be like forty seven dollars right now. Well, if you think about the house. You're living in and how much that cost at the time and the car that was parked out in the driveway and how much that cost at the time. The house has gone up four times the cars gone up for times the pizzas got cheaper. And of course, we talked about all the time. I mean when I was a kid or young, you know, you get tacos ninety nine cents or they're still ninety nine cents. Everything is still in sanely insanely cheap. I mean you go through Hakko ballot. I've done Taco Bell before had a crew four or five guys like working for the house and go like I'm going gonna run, and I go, you know, get much tacos burritos. Okay. That'll be nine twenty seven. Forty pounds worth of being from you guys. And I got four Hungary dudes back there, and I didn't even spend ten bucks. If you could get five things for five dollars. I don't care. What brand it is? What the hell could be in there. So again, when I moved Jason Scott into my house for the resurrection state, which is also on Amazon prime as well. Whenever the first thing I did was give me real food like the food that God created like can actually heal you. You're not gonna find a lot of doctors tell you that because they want you to take the prescriptions because that's what they know. That's what they've been sold, and they really don't wanna pull their heads out of the ground at the real food because that's kind of like a job again. Well, also will heal you..

"I mean, even the people who say they had just this moment of enlightenment or this like overnight wakeup. It's probably not true. The reality is they had many triggers over the years prior. And then there was one that really just finally sent it over the top. But without those prior triggers that one might not have sent it over the top and becoming who we want to be. Is a multi decades process, especially when we live in a world where we are so infiltrated by negative media. And by you know, mainstream messages that try to say, this is the way it is in the only way it is, you know, for most of us, we grow up quite influential and that largely becomes a part of us in by the time. A lot of us start to wake up we've already been alive for a couple of decades. And a lot of who we are isn't really who we are. It's just the narrative that was fed to us than that we absorbed in so, you know, for people that get overwhelmed with, you know, trying to wanting to become the change they want to see in the world. You know, that's one of my main things is, hey, you'll never get to where you wanna go overnight. You have to start where you are. You have to make changes you have to start getting involved in volunteering spending time around new people, you know, reading watching new content and gaining new perspective, and you know, through all of this. You will share? Yourself into who you want to be. But it's gonna take time in I love that. Because I feel like sometimes it happens on accident in initially think it happens on accident for most of us. But then it's something that you can lean into and you can be intentional about and you can read books, and you can pursue that path of becoming more aware of things in alternately becoming the change that you want to see in the world. Yeah. Absolutely. So what happened for me? It was two thousand eleven so about eight years ago. I I decided to leave Wisconsin after I got back from that trip. Maybe six months later, I decided to leave Wisconsin. I put my stuff into my the trunk of my car that I had at the time, and it it all fit in my car, and I I had it out. And I ended up in San Diego, California and things went on kind of normal for a little while. But then after six months or so I started to I made some new friends and. And they were just out there. One of the things was is that people in Wisconsin. There isn't as much open minds, for example, like trying to be vegetarian in Wisconsin at most meals. You're going to have somebody saying, where's the beef? And not giving them a hard time now in San Diego, there weren't necessarily that much like there's a lot of editors out there. But the more important thing was that people whether vegetarian or not didn't really care what what you are. They just accepted you more for who you are. And so, you know, it was a place where growth became easier because you could feel more comfortable just being who you are. And so they're not interesting growth became easier because of the environment you're in. Yeah. I mean, it's if you're around the same people that you've been around for the last few decades, and they have a certain way of doing things every single day when you try to go outside of that norm. And they're. You know, putting the pressure on you the the social pressure to keep doing it the way that is considered normal in your area. Then you're going against the grain at every nearly every moment of your day. And it's it's very hard. It takes a lot of energy. It takes a lot of courage to go against the grain. But if you can go to a place where there is no grain, and you can just flow that just takes off so much. The friction allows you to flow in the direction that is more naturally you. And so that is definitely in part. What happened when I left -sconsin in? So you had this new community in San Diego. It was easier to start making changes. Did you become a vegetarian at that point? One of the big things that happened was I started to just watch a lot of documentaries and read a lot of books. You know, a lot of them were about food like food Inc..

"The lawyers have had me begin to note. I am not a Representative of the red and Bacher nor Kraft food Inc. Nor the stock holder direct doors of any of these involved companies, and I do not in any way represent any of the popcorn entities under penalty of perjury. But I am Steve reddened Bacher, and I have here on a day. Unlike any day popcorn day and through no small investment from the leaders of your council. I have shown up to reflect on the greatness of popcorn. So many have thought the popcorn is something that has grown reside other corn. Amidst other corn not at all popcorn is specialty crop grown in specialty environments throughout the United States in Central America's and. I. Find popcorn mentally valuable despite its ubiquity despite how it's available in virtually any snack environment. We come across in the United States. In fact, I enjoy in. So many words I went on to say I enjoy. Finishing handful after handful of fresh pop popcorn. With corn syrup. And just let you know had beside me this plastic bottle of corn syrup but had ended out all the corn syrup which is clear in put in water and tiny bit of food coloring, which the tiniest yellow tint, which it looks like corn syrup, and then if you do it if you do this if you do this prop, right? You can just chug it, and no one can really tell if it's thick or thin waters. A lot thinner. Then I was like let me show you how it's done. And then I just Shug d- this bottle of what everyone thought was corn syrup. And I let a little bit dribble out of the two sides of my mouth onto my onto my code at cetera. And then I just stopped and stared with my book teeth and looked around everybody with wide eyes and said, I do not feel good. And then I rushed out of the room. And what you would think with happen. Is that I might have come back into the room. I hadn't really thought through what I was going to do after I did the skit and it was only like two PM in the afternoon. Anyway, I I was not I was not permanently relieved of any duties or even even temporarily. The people did not revolt against me. I didn't say anything do anything is that over the top. But I I gotta say my popcorn day experience. I may have overdone it and no one really is talked about since. So there's that. Nobody at work. I feel like I probably lost a few friends at work a few people that didn't work with directly. I feel like they probably have distance from me. Let's see here. So my birthday is in August. August seventh. What's interesting? All I really wanted to do. My birthday was relax and not do anything like really expensive, or my lovely wife is a runner, and I'm a runner she's more of a runner than I am. But we found a trail trail is probably doesn't quite accurate. It's his former railroad path in Ashland city, which is about forty five minutes drive from west Nashville, and I could get anybody info if they want it. It's not hard to find. I think it's Ashland city Greenway or something like that. But it's really wide. Former formerly there was real road and rail ties there, but there's because of that there's some bridges, and it is very scenic run, and it goes about three and a half four miles. And then if you go out and back, it's obviously seven or eight miles and. We did it. We did the whole thing. And it was hot. It was probably like ten AM when we started and. Just. It was some we'd both had heard other friends talk about it. And we went and did it and that was great. And then as like we planned this at a time Tara, they're lovely. Parents have a lovely swimming pool at Brentwood. All I wanna do is hang out the second half of the day at your parents pool. That's there's absolutely welcome to be there they want, but I just want to hang out there. And and her parents were so kind got.

"Of Andrew built and join with others in your office. And celebrate the good times of being a staff together. It was like really vague language. And I went with I went to a couple other volunteers that I saw on the Email. First of all the amount of people that are invited to this are over my floor are so over sixty people. Now that he's going to show up. But let's just say let's just say like half of them show up. Well, then you've got thirty people. And so they've given us three bags of popcorn did microwave, and then you're going to just tell people. Hey, so nice to be with you. We are so cheap. We have hardly about cord radio and house like this party. I I have an idea. And first of all my super great fellow colleagues on this on the staff council thing. We'll look we'll we'll we'll figure out more popcorn. But Jeff, you should do this idea. You're you're describing to us. And so on the day the popcorn party. There's a bunch of popcorn. We totally crushed getting more popcorn. And then I wore a Seersucker suit top a bowtie. I tie myself barely because I can barely remember how to do that every single time. I had a a wig like a kind of like, a a Beatles hair wig, like when the Beatles had long hair that funny long hair. And it was kind of blown back the wig. I had an advance some of the podcast. I'll I'll talk about my wigs. And then I also had. Fake teeth. Buck teeth. And I showed up, and I am mmediately was in character. When I showed up at this party, these people actually work with. So that's when I retell the story. I'm remembering that they have seen me. It's either at my height or it probably more likely my lowest. But. I had a little thing. I put like three ish minutes of continentals like science to be with you. I am Steve red Bacher. I am not. As the lawyers have had me begin to note.
