"So for example, obviously I think when people talk about buyouts for the bruins, the one guy that kind of comes to mind is Nick foligno. So if you were to buy him out, this upcoming season, he's due one year left at 3.8 million. Essentially, they buy him out. They pay 1.9 million against the cap this year. So you save about two ish million, which is a pretty good split for the bruins, and then the next year, bruins pretty much have about $933,000 of a cap hit carried over. So all things considered, of course, the bruins will one maybe they want to keep felino and hopefully reclaims value. I don't see that really happening. You'd ideally like to maybe trade him for something, but I don't think that's going to have me either because two goals in 64 games for that $3.8 million cap hit. I don't see them trading him because at that point you're going to be giving up another sweetener in order to get that contract off the books. So whether it's you're lumping in a third round pick or a second round pick or a prospect or two. Rooms you need to stop doing that, right? Like we've seen that before a couple of times already with them, giving up assets, draft capital to move contracts. So considering the math kind of more or less works out for the bruins here in terms of a bio for folino. I could see that being route they end up taking. Another question from Ashley, who do you think comes in at one and two C, it makes a difference. Well, obviously, the bruins probably preferred route would be countries bergeron and probably David as much as people I think I've mentioned that a couple of times and some of our stories related to David Craig website. I don't know a lot of pushback. I think from people who are like, you're living in the past corner. And listen, I know. David Craig, he's going to be 36 next year. People can point to the fact that he did very well over the check league, but it is the check league. But I think if you look at if the brooms are going into it with the expectation or the hope rather that they can get Patrice bergeron back, if you can get him back and you can get David krejci back at affordable contracts. One, it allows you to potentially run it back. And again, you got bounced in the first one. I don't know if running it back is the app term there. But at the very least, you should be competitive once again next year. And what could be the last go around for this group? You look at kind of the rest of the core that you have in place. With Jeremy swimming and Charlie mcavoy, who both should be better, I imagine if both those guys come back, there will be other finagling, whether it's trades to relieve cap space would have you, that bruins will look to augment this core. And potentially, is it signing another free agent? Is it trading for another impact player? But if you're able to get bergeron and creature back in the fold, it just makes things so much easier for the bruins in terms of one having a set game plan from next year. Again, just for next year. And it gives you a little bit more time, I guess, is the most important thing because the bruins don't really have a set plan right now..

"Pakistani Kia hasn't really made an impact on the roster yet, but we were told for so long that this was a big chip. This guy was going to be, you know, top six center. I don't know where he fits in any of this and I'm just curious, you know, and I know you feel the same way with if she's gone, where two people saw it. I mean I would assume coils II Center a second line Center. So then is your third line said Mica, is it Halo? I mean, you're paying holla orpheline a potentially be that I'm just like, it's mind-blowing with this lineup could look like next season. Ya know, again, there's so many pieces that haven't been something. That's not even looking at dabros grade of. Like, even if God, you know, crazy she doesn't return these guys as move up like is he still a guy that the Bruins want to roll with next year? If he's you know, your third line you know left-wing I think he's still do for a bounce-back season but you know is it better value moving him for an asset or you know getting some money back. I didn't quit. He's back. I think he's most likely gone, I don't know. Yep. Do you have a trade of lass up there? Unless you're also, if you're lumping, you know, Sydney in that mix and making, you know, a bigger package to acquire a guy than maybe that changes the complexion of things but wage sneaky. Yeah. In terms of maybe some of these other younger players, I think it's it's tough to map out a set ideology, right? Because if they, you would think up in his win now, window, where they've also have signed a folino, a, how, you know, these veteran guys that it's like, all right, we saw happen with the youth movement. Last year, we went with zavora land and life goes on and said Mica didn't work and it did not gel at all with our window Window Seat. Imagine this year, it'd be the same thing of or be the opposite of we're not doing a youth movement. Know if a guy like Frederick's Dixie sticks, but we're not going into the year.

"Everything's done. The fire's out Now these two teams are going back to play. So what's what's the problem with that? The problem. Is that okay? It's Corey Perry. That has to fight Nick Folino. Okay. What does that mean? Okay, well, let's put it in a difference where you even fight. Okay, let's see. Let's just see. It's a player in the Montreal, Canada. That's it's called Caulfield. That skating back collides with John to Paris. And now you have Nick Folio that is going to go to Ko Caufield and say, Let's drop him. Let's go. Do I want cold Caufield to fight? Nick Feli? No. After an incident an accidental event. No, I don't want to. Jack I coach have to fight. Nick Feli, technical it. Why wouldn't have happened? Somebody else would have gone after him. It doesn't matter. You know what? I I honestly believe that cold coffee if he was the guy that did it. In your world. It's okay because Cory Perry's got a reputation and he's bigger and stronger and he's but the act alone the fact that after an accidental hit like this, the player has to get in a fight if it was cold Caufield or if it was Rasmus, Dolly nor first, Jack Aiko, or whatever would be like where they don't need to fight. They don't need to fight. That's that was accidental. That's the point there. The gesture of fighting. The guy that gets into an accidental contact is useless and pointless. Then I'll say this Then, if you're saying that, then you truly don't understand the characters of Nick Folino and Corey Perry. They both knew what they were doing. They both knew why they were doing it. And if Corey Perry did it and Corey Perry says, I I said, Let's do it. Okay, fine. I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't think Corey Perry should be put in that situation. I don't think anybody should be put in that situation if it was accidental. Simple Is that open head of open eyes heads for out of the game. None of this would have happened last night. That was my argument yesterday, but no, Listen, it's it's all fair. You both make very valid points. Okay, like It's an ugly situation, and I think that Where it goes into conversation That's been had about it afterward. Does anything change? Like do they? Do they try to take her with rules here is if we learned anything from these playoffs at all. We learned anything from the playoffs? Yeah, not savor related. I'm talking about physicality, pace of the game, speed or nasty. It is nasty. Is it? Not? Did you even ask? This is very New York calendars Yesterday. They've been kind of a snooze fest a little bit from the start of the gold. The playoffs yesterday. All of a sudden, you've got 10 guys in the penalty box. All 10 players on the ice were sent to the penalty penalty box early in the third, which could be the first time ever. Yeah. I don't think I've ever seen that. Where no fighting majors. Two minutes roughing for everybody. And against all gets an extra two former slashing, but two minutes roughing for everybody. Is like Kelly Sutherland is a veteran referee says, You know, it's 32 game early in the third, sending everybody so he sent Crosby Rust and gentle to the band to the box. Pageau, Um Remember while Palmeri and wherever like. Those are good players, they're all sent to the box. 10 guys boom. It's nasty. It's getting nasty out there. Tampa, Florida was nasty, You know, early in the series, there's some nasty that's going on. I love I love Crosby. I just love Crosby. He's just It's crazy when you're watching like 10 guys on the ice five guys on each side and you're looking at the players and you're thinking yourself, man. Kris Letang is like a heavyweight out there right now. Letang in Peshawar together, Letty and dense alert together. You're like that. Do Mullen, who, by the way, I thought should have been stretchered off last game when he fell into the boards, full speed. He's back in the game, and now he's getting involved physically and fighting with people like it's nasty out like these guys yelling at each other across the benches, and this is great. You don't want to see this murder. Here's this little bit too physical. Not quite the code when they should be fun with each other. Great E just didn't know how. How much physicality. You know why it got nasty because Palmeri and those guys all jab at the goaltender, not accidentally. It was on purpose. That's pitchfork the goalie into the back of the net. Yeah, Go ahead and defend your goaltender. Yeah, it wasn't accidental. Some of the best memories of my career is like you when you have 56 guys on your team in the box at one time, he got four guys in the other. There's the stuff that's being said in there is just absolutely wild, better, honestly. Brothers is a lot better with the best part about it is that it's over, and you hope that you know you're getting tossed out after so that it really is over, But I mean, it's interesting what Corey Perry said. You read those, uh, those quotes from from Corey Perry Marty reading and then we'll go to break It was. It was a scary situation. I'll reach out to him and talked him and hope he's okay. It came up to me and said Let's settle this now. Let's not wait. You've got to do what you gotta do. Yeah. And coronary dropped this club's first. Yeah, they knew what they knew what they were doing and why they were doing it. Instigators think that happened after it. Two teams played. Well, sure, I tried to choke out Matthews. No jerk him around a little bit with the back of his jersey but others when he was choking did that make This is small. That's why he was smiling so much and laughing. It was It was just It was great to see. I just I'm sitting here. I'm just thinking myself like truck. Shiran was the guy that cross checked him like first game of the year. I think, right across the rib cage. You see Matthew, sitting here laughing. The playoffs are fun playoffs. Is there anything better than the playoffs? The playoffs have been fun. Every day meeting something every game has a twist and a turn. And then all the sudden the next game. It starts all over again. We'll talk normal last 11 at 11 o'clock. Dysart. Dad coming up next here on the instigators, Darren Dreger today at 11 30, So we'll talk to about all of this. And what are we hearing about? Nazem Kadri? Will there be.

Here is that considered the right wing corner given a shoulder by Murphy knocked off the puck camp will move it ahead of the left wing to suitor to Connor Murphy through center ice over the jacket line left wing side. Right. A sharp angle shot that hit cooking in the foot and then behind the net carpenter centers that's taken away by the jackets on now, Ross a logical place it off the right side glass through the air and down into the Hawks sown, allowing Columbus a line change. Carpenter then takes a pass into the jackets on on the left wing side lost it into the corner. Pew suitor took it away for the Hawks suitor at the left point, trying to angle it back down to the corner. Folino disrupted that knocking it to the Hawks Blue line. "Point. Corner plot, right. So gotta 0.25 in the period point, Right Circle recorded polite in front. Killorin. A good look, but he shot a wide left here. Stand post left circle. 20 in the period lays the left point ahead, man. Circle point with room Point. Hold Shit! Scott. Pull on. Well, I said he shot and it was kind of like a shot pass right on right, polite at the back, post polite and an easy tap, and that's a huge goal for the lightning on the power play. And they cut the Columbus lead to three to what I'll say big, big time and what a heads up play and what a great pass by The lightening moving it around and they could score. It's just been a tremendous thing for them, too. Get that goal, you know, with 13 seconds remaining that has any time you score in that first minute or last minute of a period. It's really, really a big boost for your teammates. Polite, gets his third of the year from point who has points in all games this year. And Hedman. Don't forget about Stamkos, though he won that face off to start it, But here comes Max Domi to the lightning and a shot in the slot block. And good role. Just deliver it down the ace. Is this a nice sitting? Yes. The clock reads zero. Not sure if they're gonna add any time here for a final face off for if they see that's it. We're gonna hold it here and see if we get that final face off the light near one for one today in the power play, which helped him stop the bleeding a little bit. They had a lot of three unanswered goals. First time this year. The Lightning lot three goals. In a game. They had three goals in the first period alone, All right, they had a little bit of time here. Not much, but Gordon Domi will take this draw to the right of Vasilevskiy. One of the things right here right now, When you take that face off, you just Protect the puck. You don't have to win it or lose it. You don't want to lose because that guy is gonna try and shoot it. After draw dorm is going to try to go right to the net with it. And don't be got tossed. So it's Folino and Gord. Lena tried to shoot off the drawing. He did, but he put a wide And the period comes to an end with lightning have some work to do to clean up. Their game both in terms of their coverage and their pluck management. But they book end the three Columbus goals with the opening goal from head men in the late power play goal from plot. So it's three to Columbus. After 20 minutes, Greg is coming up with our first intermission report..

"Subscriber Data service is not available in all areas. Restrictions apply. This is lightning radio. Well, first period again we took you pointed that out. Interesting thing about how the only game that Columbus is one is when they cut did not score first, and so far right now they're leading that. But turn. It got really bored quickly behind the boards by Folino, and then he goes into the boards again. Uh, He really fell awkwardly. I don't know if it if it if I think it's his shoulder that hurts that you see him kind of pointing it, Theo Rob Zettler, the defensive coach. So if that's the case than they're using young Cal Foot will be getting a lot more ice time. He stopped to the left of Asa Lasky. The lining had it pretty good stretch there right before the last two shifts where they applied some pressure. McDonough had a good chance. But the last two ships of Dominated by the blue Jackets, so rarely wins the face off from Gregor Ranko circuit, Kevin his own your corner hounded but so really provide support by the net to McDonald's. It's 21, Columbus Late first, Tyler Johnson off the feet and the right wing rattles it to center ice. And here's where Columbus is really bottled things up In those last two shifts in the neutral zone Lady cannot get past the red line stumbling block that one dumps it in. McDonagh feet up the middle blocked again. But Johnson Steve's with it. And ties up stand literally. A steal right point shot with Johnson Open in front went on that save me mostly conservative array point shot to flex over the net. Was McDonnell of circle, trying to drop it to clone of the left point, Steenland, a steal of the middle. It's Kirby rushing into the lightning and left point shot. Save us A. Lasky and he holds on three await left in the 1st 21 blue jackets, but that Reminds me chief of how Columbus Played in the 2019 playoff, especially when they great effect. The Lightning cannot get through the neutral zone defense or playing like they're supposed to be there right up above the blue and the lightning. When Columbus player with the puck catches the pocket, he's crosses the red line. The lightning players almost at the top of the circle of his own and again, you must play. Don't give up that blue line. That's the biggest difference right now. The Columbus is gaining the Lightning blue line ready really easily. And it hasn't been working for the lightning right now. For them going the other way. Here's a good pass. Hedman appointed Senator Issel chip it in that was well done by the Lightning Palat pursues it in the four check cannot dislodge it from Gavin Combo. Kid on the left side for Oliver Bjork's strength. Sling it to center. Ice point cuts it off. On flutters it back in. 21 Columbus Late first David Savard. Rips it down the ice. Is this an icing? No.

"The five hole where you're dead on when you pass it to the wing. You're lucky you have the far side stamp goes, wins the draw from Jenner in the offensive and turn at CenterPoint shot blocked. Tech CEO who counters Right. Wait Nicolino with lightning and a little past blocked by McDonough, who takes it away. Flip it. Forward. Stamp goes on the right way across the Columbus Line Dishes for plot rate circle. I'm great plot, right Single Stamkos a shot When y left rebound point, though, of Circle Chief should find that Point is checked by Folino. It's crab by Gabbar Cobb and he launches it out of the zone. Jenner, We're gonna force it forward from center ice could step up Turn ax load that Russia generous to regroup back in his own and for Garica right wing David Savard. Sorry. Storm plot A quick counter Stamkos across the blood, right? Sickle shot Walker down by Korpisalo Good shot from Stamkos. That's what they gotta do Mission. They gotta do that more often. Right from the top of the circle dead on And that was a big safe. Fully knows. First play any attempt blocked. Michael Oren Fellini gets it back. This time. He does deliver it back to the Lightning Defensive end one other Columbus early second, Anthony Sara Lee right side dish to call Lauren from the red lining, bounces it in. Savard mind his own it stripped by Tyler Johnson. He'll steal. Drop it to the left point. A little shot from had been blocked, Rebound behind that kill or I'll explore into the right circle. Next with circuit kept down lower right corner. He got handcuffed by the puck. Riley Nash trying to clear it is bumped by Cyrillic enlightening. Hold this in no back and since slips it out, But it's gonna go down the length of the ice. And it will be a nice thing against the blue Jackets. 18 11 left in the second. Still one of the Columbus for the Lightning, starting.

"Speedway and the official medical provider of run Disney. This is lightning radio. Well, you take a look at the two coaches. You're both of them of one standing comes to the Tampa Bay Lightning, you know? John Tortorella. I've always been interested in that last that year. No for when he won, you know, they were really basically around 500 till just after Christmas, And then they went on a complete tear. I think they lost. Two games and regulation. They've never had overtime where Trudeau's back then, and they just really took off in all the way to the company. This one here when the Lightning one they were at around 500 at Christmas, and then they took off, and so it was, you know, the kind of the cup years were kind of mirror images of one another under these two coaches. Polina wins the DEA's own face up from Point to Corpus. Always left Florence. Keep jabbing it out to center ice boot. Jenner gets another stick on swats it in its crab. I fully know Left Circle shot fighting it off. FASSEL sked holds on a look chief like While you were in good position there, but the puck skipped over a couple of sticks and Folino squeeze free. It's really bouncing puck up there today. I don't know if it's if it's a warm and since Columbus I don't take so probably not. No, but the ice responding in the ice might be a little bit soft. Stamp goes once this face off from Pelino to vassal of skis, right. Victor Hedman winds up in the Tampa Bay net motoring out to center Hedman games. The red line across the belied its point. He's open right circle. Right to center. It fully know blocks it can route to hold this in momentarily. Yes, it's battle for along the far boards,.

"If you've ever been in a vehicle crash, then you know the impact caused by a collision. Now imagine the force of the crash. So great people are killed. My name is Eric. I sat behind the wheel and drove drunk. Caused the crash that killed two young women. Megan and Lisa. Now I sit alone in my jail cell. Megan and Lisa were taken forever and their families and friends were left devastated. Don't drink and drive And remember, our roadways are connected to our families. This message brought to you by the Florida Department of Transportation, Lightning radio. Why one of the things that the game has been very, very quickly played. I mean speed of the game. You know, we know Columbus is Has got good speed. But the boy the thing is that you've got to make sure of those blue lights and that's one of things that really hurt the lightning. Victor haven't tried to stick candle through it and that the pox stripped from him. It was a three and one the other way and then a big shot, but Again. Just if you get on quickly, it looks like they're lightning are only sending one guy in it all and having the two guys back to playing like a 1 to 2 in the offensive zone and You know that first guy can't get there did harass Akai. Columbus is having an easier time of coming out of their own zone. It's an offensive zone face off for the Lightning. Columbus had just won the drop. The punk was iced So 12 45 left in the first face off coming to the left of Korpisalo. We lost the last one. So Stamkos will take this one against Nick Folino. And Polina wins another, but point steals it from Jones drops a great point. Ruda looking for Stamkos in the slot that got knocked away. Jenner. Is able to finesse it out. Right plot right back across the blonde right circle. Rumble behind that. Center for Stamkos. Skowronski intercepts. Can you clear this up the far.
