I can tell them that they have. You expect them to be able to score. So at times, you know, this game for man city I imagine would have been a bonus when they saw the bombs went up, but in the back of their minds they know the arts have done this before against better sides as well. So ultimately they carried on doing what they did and I've got to say as well, looking at the smile in there. I remember when I spoke to him after the FA Cup game, he was a bit miserable, but that moment in terms of seeing your team win in the last second. And that's one of the best feelings you can have within football. I'm sure all the guys would agree. You know, it's great when you win four zero 5 zero 6 zero. But that last kick of the game victory, like even makes the people appear quite grumpy, happy. So yeah, that's an incredible day for them. Obviously, city will be a bit disappointed overall, but I think they expected it because it was awesome at home versus Bournemouth. Jules overall, just to follow as the Premier League. And to be fair, this is what we've had all season not just our stone, but in general, this season, like a crazy scene when you think about the form of Chelsea and the troubles that Liverpool had and the much the united ten high of process and city and arsenal plus seems like Brighton we deserve it. The late winners in some games, the crazy resort, the twist, the thing that they come back that you didn't expect, I think this has been an amazing season. Okay, let's focus on the Manchester City game now. They are of course in action against Newcastle. So as a manager, what is the thought process as to why you're not making your substitution? I don't know why that question would generate such a reaction for background. I don't do the changes because today I didn't see that aim was needed. I thought that the players that they were playing, they were doing a great job. While most of the front pages here in the UK carry photos in England's victory over Wales in the final group game in their group at the World Cup, early and guarante has been looking at all of those forests and what stood out for you. Lots of puns. Loads and loads of puns and as we know, Anna watched it Stephen didn't care, and I was indifferent. But let me bring you some of those headlines. So England won three zero against their neighboring rivals with two goals from Manchester United's Marcus Rashford and one from full Foden who of course plays for man's city. Bosch says a Daily Mirror of course, a play on Marcus Rashford's name. The daily star says it's woozy Wednesday this is my favorite and estimates that thousands of football fans will be feeling hungover today following yesterday's match Tuesday night. Oh my God. School night. How dare you? And then the daily mail has this really optimistic headline right we've heard it all before three lines, three goals and three games for from the final. We're going to just not hear the end of it now, are we? We're going to have predictions from cats and octopuses on who's going to win. England's game against Senegal, which is kicking off on Sunday. Okay. Well, let's leave the leave the football there for now, although as you say, Leanne, it will return on to today's other headlines. The time says UK crypto hub ambitions are unchanged by the FTX collapse. This is really interesting. What's the latest here? Y'all know indeed Anna it's super interesting and it's in the times today and the government has repeated its goal of making the UK a global cryptocurrency hub that is even as a fallout from the collapse of FTX continues to echo around the world Andrew Griffith he's the economic secretary to the treasury and of course a city minister, said he really stood by bad ambition, though he placed the emphasis on feedback stable coins, government backed stablecoins rather than the more volatile privately created crypto assets, so he also raised a prospect that Britain is poised to relax the ring fencing of banks with retail and investment arms, which with the aim of reducing the risk and preventing banking collapses we've been talking about that all morning, haven't we? We just had Philip Ulrich on just explaining a bit more around the ring fencing. Leander Fernando times meanwhile, talking about how to think about policy in a poly crisis. That's going to say. No, it isn't. Well, you know, when I first looked at this, I had to Google it. I'm just going to confess, but the story in the FT by Martin wolf is looking at the poly crisis, which according to the historian Adam tosi, is a world of economic and non economic shocks which are entangled all the way down. So wolfer's arguing that the current interconnected problems the world faces means economists have to really think beyond the silos and analyze systematically across them. So this is just basically saying we have to look at a much broader view and he worries that the OECD is closing the unit set up in 2012 called the new approaches to economic challenges to do exactly that. He also looks at the OECD's latest economic outlook and tells about the economic situation right now and he concludes central banks must not take a peek in inflation as a sign that their job has done so basically look systematically across the board rather at things individually when it comes to the financial markets. And to answer your question about whether it would work in terms of a Big Bang, it is part of a bigger deregulation package, but you're not going to get a Big Bang on the scale of Margaret Thatcher's 30 years ago because you can't deregulate on that scale in one day. And, of course, it comes with risks. So you have to ask, what would replace the ring fence to protect consumers through the recession? Would it be something like higher capital requirements that we've yet to find out? Yeah, and also we're completely forgetting the other element of the Big Bang in the 80s, which was not just deregulation, is also that it was a massive change in terms of electronic trading. It was really the start of the modern financial system as we know it now with the arrival of, well, mobile phones and computerization. And this is what businesses are complaining about. So you've seen in two separate surveys this morning. Business confidence in the UK has dropped because we're heading for a recession. You've got inflation at the highest in for decades, and businesses themselves say the government has no agenda to boost growth. In fact, this is what I heard from the horse's mouths when I was at the CBI annual conference last week. Does this actually have an impact for the Bank of England? Well, I think what impacts the Bank of England more are the shop price inflation figures from the British retail consortium that you mentioned earlier in the program. And what's really shocking about them is not just that you're seeing inflation in shops hitting 7.4% in November, which is the highest since the British retail consortium started taking these figures in 2005, but food price inflation specifically hit 12.4%. And this is what hits the poorest household the hardest because they spend a bigger chunk of their income on food and energy. They're having to spend more on that cut back on festive spending, so retailers are having to try to spread out the Christmas season earlier as you experienced in selfridges. Will it work? Didn't spend any money. So there you go, maybe tomorrow. Dancing puddings did not convince you. The business confidence surveys suggest it's not working. Okay.
