"Nick name is Joe, and we're like, that's not that doesn't help us. Dylan Floro is the new pitcher for the Dodgers with a runner at third one out for the raise in the second Tampa Bay already leading one to nothing, and he starts William Thomas with a strike over the inside corner. The Dodgers have brought the infield in. Remember Margo, the runner. Third runs extremely well. Dom is try to get him home. There's the Owen fastball in a ball with a strike. Here's a discipline when you've got a runner on third in less than two outs, trying to deliver at least a sacrifice fly. That pitcher wants to tie you up so you can't get your arms extended so he wants soft contact is thean fields drawn in or he wants a pop up swinging afoul ofthe ball away from one end to the Dodgers have three infielders on the left side of second, although again Kiki Hernandez is just a couple of feet. To the left of second base so months. He's all alone on the right side, and the outfielders are heavily around to the opposite field against the right hand hitting a Domus Domus, another guy, the Rays have to get going. He's hitting 1 25 in the post season five for 40. One of all two strikes the count the pitch from Floro download to it, too. So I think Brandon Lauer felt so much of that pressure and honestly, Radio Ros Arena, I think also feels that pressure in the rest of the team this postseason hitting under 200 Rosa reign until the last 23 games. Incredibly hot. Margo's had a very nice postseason here. Buyer lately has swung the bat very well the last couple of games, but they need help whether it's meadows. Wow. A Thomas Choi. Set by Floro and the two to swinging a ground ball to short runner coming home, and they got him by plenty. The shortstop. Seeger was in so tight on the grass. The ball was hit. Right, Adam contact play must have been on He came home. He was out by 15 ft. I mean, it's it's contact..

"Giants baseball on your smart speaker. Just say play KNBR. Game That's turned ugly for the Giants 9 to 1 Dodgers and the defense is sort of broken down with everything else that has gone wrong for the Giants. These 1st 2 games and so now, just trying to get this one over with and get back to it. Tomorrow afternoon, Dylan Floro will Take to the mound for the ninth inning. Three outs away. The Dodgers are from getting a second straight win to start the year against their rivals. Edwin Rios is going to stay in the game. And I assume he's going to play third base, so Floro ready to go 91 Ella and Pablo takes a called strike. That's Six inches off the outside corner, not a movement from Floro and you got to call with it. Rookie empire had kind of a shaky night of times, not changeup, dribbled back to the mound. Floral comes down off the mound to get it on throws him out. At first in Pablo is old. Strike out on three grand ball until the one of them was very hard hit. And here comes Dickerson. Dickerson, left handed hitter and the pitch and that sinker runs.

"Scrimp skied, but Taylor did not hit the ball hard, just a little ground ball, where nobody wise then Barnes, the ground ball where nobody was. Two singles, there is strike three call on the. Third to use. Krimsky. Ninety five mile hour fastball with that to see action. I'm sure your scripts read that what is being off the inside corner. But it had a lot of movement coming back to the plate. And that was awful where you scrimp ski two two strikeouts. Floro. Donovan solano. Who has lined out to left singled to right and walked? To nobody on in the eighth inning and the pitch and fastball. Right down the middle in for the called strike. Floro long-legged, right. Headed. Stayed three nothing. They definitely used by as for this ending he'd been there top setup man is foul back out of play. In front of kenley Jansen onto the cap to Solano. But once the dodgers opened it up. Once it went to five nothing. That's when Floros dotted song bullpen, and then KiKi Hernandez at the grand slam and suddenly it was nine nothing. Oh to pitch very hard for a ball. Trevor God had been one of the giants outstanding relievers this year and that. Two thirds of angrily gave up four runs really inflated. His earned-run average, there is strike three caught on the outside corner is to see fastball again at blow comes in and strikes out the side. The last of the Bellinger, do up the dodgers nine..

"Aspiration the where they do. And they're not a risk at risk for pneumonia. Do we care? No. Get off my face. I don't hear either. Get out of here. Yeah, I agree. I mean it's just like they do that. All day if I push them in, you need to do forty five quench swallows for it to finally dropped into your weight. Get off my freedom out by your exactly. I don't care. Like, I can't think of a situation where I do care. I'm happy like oh, great. You're and then they did aspirin the confident back out good for you. Caught your fall things that I think. Things allowing your system to respond. I did that last night dinner, so. You know, the other interesting thing is to me is that none of these speech pathologists who had delays knew they had a delay. So why are we thinking we're gonna make these people with sensory issues, somehow fix it. They if you did know in your tax insane. How are these patients, go to know? So I'm not saying there's no way to treat Swanson issues. I'm just saying it has to be the primary and big, big problem that leads to significant aspirated such that I'm worried about things like fixation with with solid 's and who are at a very high risk for damone. You're really sick for that to be the primary thing that I owe, we'll shut it down. We have to manage this, and please stop seeing things on Floro and saying, like, what would just in case like, right? You can see it. You say you towns, the patient. They're not penetrating. They're not as pretty even if they are penetrating, right. Maybe nobody rating. Yep. Here like. That's a decision that you make, please stop billing these patients to say, I just want to stop their bedside a couple more times just to diet, check and make sure that they're ok and what the heck can even check at the bedside with into letting makes them, it makes the SAP feel-good. Yes. Right. Which is absurd. It sounds like he's dollars. These are this is money, money, just money spent by the patient. It's your salary getting paid to do Jack crap. But it's also allocation of their services where you're seeing that patient, which a lot of therapy models means that we don't act in a silo that you go and see that bishopric therapy session is taking away from a different therapy session. Yeah. Because when you like especially as an OT blood therapy services have to be combined. Yeah. Where it's not you this many sessions, I get this many sessions. It's, it's not just useless s maybe is useless as SOB services in place of probably. A full Oti yet. Absolutely. So it sounds like we agree that the delay in itself, while is the thing that FLP's really like to focus on it might not be as useful one. If you don't really define it properly to innocently, too much, even if it does lead to aspirin aspiration is not necessarily always the enemy. It's over easy to see SO paper was that one of the, the deficits, that was identify I swallow striking. Right. It wasn't so striking SAP paper, it was twenty twenty nine second long delay in only sixty seven percent of respondents, actually picked it up as the problem. When there's other problems. Wait now, let's just make sure to answer your question. The other thing is many of them have said things like premature spillage into let's quickly differentiate, the to swallow onset delay means youth Alicia tried to initiate swallow that base of Tom retraction. You push the bullets back and nothing happened in the facts. There was no triggered nothing. Just sat there, meaning the sensory information was there volition act. Was there nothing happen? That's a swell onto delay. Premature spillage means that you didn't volition.

"Mike Floro from pro football talk. Mike, very small Dougherty. The departments just keep Josh Rosen on the day of the NFL draft. Initially. I don't think it's a bad thing to have a couple of accidents feel good about the welcome to the program in our new home. This is Dan Patrick. It's finally here. Lot to talk about spent the first hour talking about the NFL draft. Welcome to the program. It's hour to on this Thursday, Dan and the danettes Dan Patrick show. Check in with the Zona cardinals coming up in about fifteen minutes spent some time talking to Daniel, Jeremiah, he's a former NFL scalp. He now works for the NFL network hill of the very important role tonight on their draft coverage on the NFL network. You're trying to figure this out. You're trying to sort through it. But part of me does it want to know me. I don't want somebody to go. You know, the cardinals are taking Cuyler Murray. I would like there to be a little bit of drama going into this. It's a TV show, and I treat it as such do. I try to do my job and find out some information for you. Yes. And I found out the following earlier this morning asking a couple of questions to a current NFL scout. And also a former NFL scout sounds like Murray number one. Most guys I've talked to including the giants feel best value will be a defensive line for them Daniel Jones and drew lock or too close to call. Seems people are split on Haskins. But those three could go in any order, Jon Gruden shouldn't get cute used those three first rounders and improve their defense. I then asked about are the giants gonna take a quarterback, obviously, a major need a year ago. Barkley was the best player on the. Board and they were right? Waiting to seventeen is risky. Everyone will know what they want and they can jump in front of them. They can hope someone drops. But it may not be the quarterback they want. That's their dilemma need versus value at numbers six. Well, if you eventually need a quarterback, then take your quarterback at six. You know, the value pick. I'm not waiting to seventeen. If on the giants, if I want Daniel Jones in your if you're sold want him at six, then take him don't be I'm sold on him at seventeen but not so sold on him at six because that's not the best philosophy in my opinion. Either go in and take whoever is the best player there or go in with the mindset of we want to get our quarterback. And then once you get your quarterback, then you're gonna move on. Nobody's expecting a lot out of the giants this upcoming season get your quarterback. And if that's your quarterback great now, you have your running back, and you have your quarterback, and you can start to build with free agency or your other draft picks their yes, mclovin..

"This is a streaming game service Google's late to the party on this. Really? There have been a number of streaming game services. The idea is you don't have to have big fancy gaming hardware to play high end video games. They have the hardware on their servers. The game is played there and streamed down to your low end devices, low EMMY, of course, a phone a tablet about even as low as a Google Chrome cast ultra one of their little eighty dollars dog goals has four K video and HD are you plug that into your TV and then play a game with that a high end game with that that seems like a great idea doesn't it? And I guess they would have some monthly fee. The reason I say they're late to the parties because this has been going on for ten years at least there was a company called on live the tried. This problem was they were just a little startup and what they found was there'd be busy times. And so they need to buy. And this is actually an interesting problem for a lot of companies they need to buy enough servers to handle the peak periods. But then a lot of that hardware would go on used during the slow times. And they really couldn't afford to have. They were too successful. They couldn't afford to have enough hardware to make it work. They ended up getting picked up by Sony. Sony, bought another company called guy did the same thing. Sony plans to do streaming gaming service sodas Microsoft, so now Google enters the fray, there must be something minute. They must figure. Well, see, I think if you're a gamer, and you're listening to this. You're going. If you have an XBox or PlayStation or a fancy PC designed to play games your natural reaction as well. I don't need that is never going to be as good as what I've got. Who will said, oh, no, no. It's going to be better than an Xbox One extra PlayStation for pro because it's going to have a faster graphics card. Yeah. That's true. But the problem is that faster machine. Is it up there in the cloud way over there? And you know, who's in between me and that machine Comcast or Verizon or AT and T Cox or frontier. One of those one of those internet service providers, we love so very dearly. And boy with an opportunity for them. Right. No net neutrality means hey, you wanna play games on Google stadia? That'll be a buck fifty extra. Of course, it will. Because it's oh, it's a lot of work for us to provide you with all that bandwidth. And if you don't have if you don't have good internet access. I mean, really good. I mean, really good internet access. These games will be unplayable. Google also did not announce price or availability except to say we're going to do it sometime this year. So. Oh, excuse me. If I yawn. Okay. Who let me know when you come to the party, we'll talk then. I shouldn't have said, okay. You know, we woke up my phone. I never mind. Forget I mentioned it. Ponant to own is ongoing right now. In vancouver. This is a really interesting event every year where hackers come to the event, it's a hacking conference cans sick west, and they and they all year long. They've been storing up. Hacks for major operating systems and programs even things like Tesla's. They've been keeping him to themselves because there's a lot of money to be made. If you it's a competition if you can hack these devices. Yesterday. Hackers day two of PO known took down Mozilla, Firefox and Microsoft edge. Browsers actually that was Thursday. So. Just so you understand this. What what they do at the pony conferences. They put a standard install of whatever it is. You're gonna hack. Maybe windows or MAC or or chrome OS or program, whatever. And then they say go ahead. Hackers. You have one hour to break in. And they did. Into the two of the big browsers out there which everybody claims they're secure tesla got hacked. There's a team called Floro acetate that really is good at this stuff. And they've made lots of money. They got fifty thousand dollars for hacking fire FOX, that's why they save these all year long. So far this year. Floro acetate has earned get ready for this three hundred forty thousand dollars in the to own conference three hundred forty thousand dollars. This is their fulltime job all year long. The team at Floro acetate works to find bugs. Now, the reason that this is okay. Okay. Does it? The reason is okay is because after the competition all of the flaws are given to the company's not to the public, but to the companies that make these programs, so they can fix them. So the companies actually don't mind this. This is this is a good thing for them. Because really? In fact, there's a whole ecosystem of. Payments for hackers to find bugs. A lot of security professionals make their living doing this. Tesla was hacked on Friday a model three team of security. Researchers Floro acetate once again hack the tesla car via its browser browser a great place to attack. I'll just read you the play by play. They used j IT bug that stands for just in time in the browser rendering process to execute code on the cars firmware and show a message on its entertainment system. See that's not scary as much as if they made the car stop or we're able to steal a car. Putting a message on the screen big deal. I think. Team Floro acetate also found successful exploits in apple safari, VM ware, workstation and windows. Ten of the total half million dollars awarded in the three three day. Competition floor acetate got the lion's share the final tally three hundred seventy five thousand dollars, and they got the master of Pohan trophy. PW N own. I look forward to this every year the Ponant own, and it's I'm sure that companies like Google and apple and Mozilla and tesla don't. Kind of it seems kind of bad publicity when you when you're the one that gets hacked. But I think in the long run it's good for everybody because he's hacks. Are you know, now put it given to the company so they can fix them. I don't see a hack of the MAC. I don't think they're able to get an a MAC OS ten Mojave. So that would be that would be good news. They did get safari however, apples browser. So I guess in a way that's a that's useful. Because once you get safari. You're you're into the computer. Oracles virtual box. They got. They took them two tries. But they finally got that. It's fun to read the play by play. You could really you could turn it into a sporting event. Enough pony own news. We're going to get back to your calls in just a second..

"Air plumbing, every day on W. The French government suspends gas taxes now is Floro because president Macron and party amid imposed another gas tax on gasoline the goal to the government to help pay for some of their failed social programs. But what a lot of people are not being told through the media is that it's not just one gas tax is a gas tax. Remember, this is already passed is a gas tax and then after certain period of time, they increase it again. After a certain period of time, they increase it. Again, they increase again, you know, what gasoline already is in France seven dollars a gallon. Yep. So here's what happened. The citizens reached a breaking point they started rioting hundreds of thousands of people in France started to riot as they were approaching implementation of the new gas tax says. But there's an implication for the United States based upon those rights. The same thing is going to happen in the United States and sanctuary cities. The citizens are gonna reach a breaking point. They're gonna get tired of paying for the violence created by illegals that use sanctuary cities to not only had but to commit crimes. It's not a matter of will it happened. As a.

"Right now this exact one. Yeah. No. It's kind of like you said it's been a dream. This whole year has been. Surreal experience that it's hard to put into words. But. Just getting a chance to play in the World Series has come cap it off and then. Getting a chance to hit a walk off home run. Obviously. There's not many words. Feeling was just pure joy. And incredible. That's. It's hard to describe. Max Muncie after the game who asked that question like a Shakespearean actor. Yeah. What the hell was that about a nice question? What was it was James Lipton? James Lipton was asking steady stopping doing inside the actors studio. So now, he's asking questions a baseball games covering the dodge him do that. Than the open yesterday in the dodger open was pathetic. It was it was the guy that said poodle isn't a planet on Neil degrasse Tyson astrophysicist, the opening the opening those another opening Goodman. Did it? Neil degrasse Tyson is awful. Tyson. He's a brilliant guy. But I don't know if it's connecting with major league baseball audiences. Also, you guys keep saying that this game is like if whoever wins this game win the series. It's to to what are the unions. The dodgers win. I still say the Red Sox are gonna win the World Series. Because as we saw in way, they still have to win one of the games in Fenway and the dodgers have complained about the cold weather. They can Nicole whatever. So we've ever comes back to the Fenway, and they're down three to I still say the Red Sox when Jesus turns out to be strictly a home series, right? The Red Sox win at Fenway. The dodgers win a Dodger Stadium. It'd be that. Simple. And maybe I mean, the Red Sox certainly had their chances to win last night again. And again, and this is going to be a theme. I'm to hark on a lot today. I think Alex Cora the chickens came home to roost last night. That was his worst game postseason as a manager. I thought he did a really really poor through some of those decisions that are made throughout the game. But first, let's listen to Dave Roberts the dodgers manner manager after that three two win last night at Dodger Stadium were. Down to one. But I think that the crowd tonight was was outstanding was loud from from before the first pitch, and we end -ticipant did that. So to get in front of fifty thousand dodger fans to drive us into stay for what was it. Seventeen innings eight thousand nine hundred ninety eight seven I forgot I lost count seven hours twenty seven hours and twenty minutes, and there were still pretty forty thousand fans here. So the way that our guys are pen got the LA needed, and they did a heck of a job. So you look at tomorrow after playing seven hours and twenty minutes. Pens in pretty good shape. I think that certain people can handle a moment like this and understand what was at stake tonight. And we needed his best effort, and we need to go deeper than their starter, logs meetings and. Some guys run from it. Some guys can't answer the velvet. But this guy he's got an overt confidence. A quiet confidence. A little combo. But he's got tremendous stuff and he lives for moments like this. So we're feeling pretty good about ourselves right now. To be two more games at home. But right now our focuses tomorrow or today later today he was talking about it bullpen being in good shape. Now kenley Jansen had thirty two pitches. Last night. He'll be available. How effective will he be Pedro bias twenty-six pitches? You also had Dylan. Polio twenty nine pitches and can yada Kenta. My ADA at thirty six pitches. Back up to it was actually a Dylan Florio Floro Floro, right? Mike Florio covers DSL Dylan Floro twenty nine pitches and Kenta my eight at thirty six pitches. So I don't know how good a shape is bullpen is in actually because he's got four guys through a lot of pictures last night. But he did have his started go seven innings right in Walker. Bueller? Now, let's get into Alex Cora some of the decisions he made that I think you have to question. First of all, I thought RIC porcelain look good last night. He gave the home runs a jock Petersen in the third inning. Peterson is a guy who destroys righties can't hit left. These. We talked about yesterday that Portillo's susceptible to giving up home runs. He did. But other than that. I thought he pitched well last night. Why do you take them out after four in two thirds and go right to your bullpen. Sixty one pitches. I mean, he's still had playing more to go. Maybe he's available tonight or at least in game five at some point. Right. I mean, and then you then you you put in Iran Egypt for one batter. And then you go to to Joe Kelley key twelve pitches. Embrace your at eighteen I don't like the way you manageable pen at all what not the bullpen. But just taking your star out that early. I would have gone six if you could. Rotting in longer to go longer. But then you strike a plane with pinch hitters, and this is the difficulty that American League managers have when they go to national parks because now you gotta start looking at. We're gonna pinch hit guys and you end up using pinch hitters in the fifth and sixth inning. I mean, I it must have been like seventeen hours ago when we saw Andrew Benintendi hit because he pinch hit early in the game. So he's managing for a nine inning game. Not an eighteen inning. But at the same time, I thought Dave Roberts did a much better job. And granted he got more starter. That's that goes on Dave Roberts doing a better job with with managing his pitching staff last night. And then he he let these guys go little bit longer. He paid your buyers pitched for two innings Floro and inning in two thirds was awesome in his two in Italy was which is a surprise because he shaky and both us nine pitches. The only thing is Nathan of all depict six innings. He pitched the same as what like four or five relievers would right, exactly. They asked again, they ask too much of Nathan of all the it was going to break it sometime. The end. No, one should say, I give up the game winning home run. That sucks. He was masterful last night. And he was Daniel either Red Sox I chance we'll actually win the frequency Muncie. Almost hit a home run in the fifteenth inning. He pulled a foul. So you know, that look like a battery that had his sets sight site site set what I can't even talk this morning. Zaphon part of the date is here, but he was locked in on of. All righty just missed a home run in the fifteenth, and he did hit one in the eighteenth. Yeah. I'm not trying to defend Alex Korea. I think there was definitely his worst performance as a manager. So far in these playoffs. I thought it was outright bad. Well, he's got nothing to do. With Mookie Betts going. No, not that. Not just the are Christian you go first. And now my point to was the fact that he had a bad game bad performance worst performance of the playoffs. But how wonderful guys take over twenty eight now. And when game you said, you three to two if one of them gets a couple of hits the basis loaded up a running about six inches, you the three of us hit up off other than that. That's all you need it, even if you just lost a single into right center. I know. Said than done. We'll get we'll get more into muggy Betts Bogaerts as this goes on because they were both awful last night horrendous. I'm terrible at but I want to just talk about Cora and such a bad game for him to get Andrew Benintendi one at bat. Right. Just one insular is up. How many times three us up three times? Okay. Brock Holt had six at bats, which I don't have a problem with Brock Holt. I think he's fastly a better gotta get Benintendi more than one question do tonight. We'll we'll talk about this. What do you? Make the Mookie Betts at second base. You do your. US? Desperation mode at that point by putting him at second base. And you put of course, Benintendi, J B J J JD Martinez in the outfield. It's not as good to tell you this. I'm done with Kinsley period. Done more. He can't do anything can't hit. And now he can't feel even though he's a gold glove finalist. John can't run can't run that. He's a grandma. But continuing to talk about Cora the some of the decisions he made in game. I thought were really pours. Well, okay. The one that stands out to me too is pinch hitting pinch running Kinsley for JD Martinez. That was bad. Okay. That was they couldn't do it hit and run with join tina's. They were able to do it with Kinsley. He nearly gets. He runs for JD Martinez. Nearly gets picked off first base winter. They call them out on the field. Okay. But he's still safe. So safe their job. They have the hit and run. Well, it's not a bad job. If you stay. But he wasn't out until later on in the okay? So he that first base and then they put on the hit and run. They're able to get him to third Brock Holt lines it to center field. He gets a third that he slides. Terrible slide. It was. Yeah. It was. But again, it just turn. It doesn't put the tag on. It looked like a trip around the basis of a pitcher that never ran before. It gets picked off at first he over slides third. He gets there and then Nunez has the sacrifice fly to Bellinger. That's the second out of the inning Belgium makes strong throw up the line a little bit. But again, here's someone that has to take some blame on that kindle shlo-. He's thirty seven years old. He's had hamstring issues. They sent him. He went Jackie Bradley, June is the on deck circle is on the on-deck circle. His only job in that situation is to get close to home plate Intel in Kinzler, what to do slide inside or outside and Kinzler can't see balls behind him into the side. Jackie Bradley, jR, was nowhere to be found on that. That's just little things that base always been an issue with this team this year rose sent Kinzler the third base coach that was bad decision. I don't think it is. We're in a game where no one can score Russia. Host Bellinger made a really good throw. You gotta give. Don't run him. Okay. Who's up afternoon? Yeah. As you think this is going to get a hit together hit slow runner. He had no chance J. Feel confident of J BJ's J is to drive Kinzler beating out balance you have to make it's a ban Yang play. You are defending. Was it was horrible. He's the biggest goat. In fact, the poll question today is who do you blame the most for the game last night as a look core? Bogart's our bets at Johnson. He's done this. Something that had nothing to do with him. He was sent by the third base. Coach Phoebus he ran and Jackie Bradley, jR, was nowhere to be found him where to slide have some better for the game. That's not that's not on how to tenth inning perfect will die World Series. Dodger may thro get this with all of the crabby decisions that were made you can't if you guys wonderful golf with twenty. But I'm not even done yet. That's the thing. But you're talking about something that gets thrown out on a good throat when he sent by JD Martinez. Your best with somebody who's not faster than JD Martinez in a pinch run with. They don't have a lot. Yes. It was Leon Leon. Yeah. I mean, nobody you Dave Robert Blake Swihart earlier who's a better base runner than Kinzler. He's ten years fifteen years, younger, healthier and faster. But he was not. There was not available trans someone who's not faster than your best bet anyway. But you also have to think what you're gonna do defensively. So you pinch Ron Kessler. He plays. Second base is a gold glove finals? I know he threw the game away last night. But then you could put Brock Holt in left field. There's there's multiple decisions that go into this. It's not just you put someone out there to run because then if you put someone out there to run a pitcher you wanna have a pitcher run. And then you put in Kinsley at second base and move hoped to left field. I just don't like taking your best battled lineup in a tight. But the guy can't run they wanted to put on neither Kinzler kindle can. JD Martinez Nazi close enough. I can't believe you defending defending him. I'm saying why core put him in. And I don't like the you're making it sound like, Ian, Kinzler, sandy Leone running the basics. He's not all these terrible decisions hits. Right. Chris. I don't understand then twenty situation where they have a man on second your first base open. You've yes. Yup. We who is time and time again at timely. It's and you decide to pitch to them. That's not. And then the guy who's coming up after is the worst hitter. He's hitting ninety I want it was a bad decision. But the worst part of that was what Kinsley did with the ball because you got a ground ball to Kinzler off a Puig's bat munchies on second base Kinzler has two choices their dividend. He makes the play cleanly after he hits the David. Now. What do you do? You have to compose yourself to make a throw to first base. Now, the other problem is, you know, who's at first base Christian Vasquez because you keep pinch hitting for people in double switches. And you've got multiple pitchers that you have to use so Christian Vasquez. Who's not a first basements at first base? Kinzler for some reason threw the ball to first base as if he like blown out his ACL. That's like something you see a quarterback do when they bought their ACL and just like get rid of the football 'cause they're in pain. Instead, he shoveled it over there was nowhere near for I bake. Now, if Mitch Moreland is over there because he's left handed. He may be able to straddle up the line and save it from going past him. Now, you'd have first and third to Austin Barnes up. The other thing to do is to choices. There. Polls yourself make a strong throw or eat. This is the only two choices. And he what he did was. He just said oh priegues running. I got to get rid of it. Because I didn't even look at first if you have a second look at first he would've saw that Puig was following the Machado way of running down the basis lolly gagging. And starting to celebrate. And he would have had him out Steph curry no look pass that Heathrow over there. Instead kindles going, please probably running right? I gotta get it over there..

"Six eight Cassie. Thank you. Yes. We are headed to the thirteenth. Brock halted weirdo, Nunez and Jackie Bradley, jR against Scott Alexander with both bullpens quiets. So a lot of faith here in Alexander for Dave Roberts. Not wanting to match up too much, even though he could go, right? He left. You cannot wanted us to guys or maybe just saying, you know, what this is the guy I trust the most. Here's the pitch to halt and attend for strike is just now's I say that Dylan Floro walks up the bullpen mound. So one think about it Scott Alexander he is. To keep the ball out of the air for the most part such a high ground ball rate. So obviously, that's a good thing for Dave Roberts. One for four on the night. She looks at the strike of his own to each team. Looking Dan for that one swing? That will connect the launch angle perfect. The exit velocity. Dreamy? Give their team the lead. Alexander set and the chew on the way and mistress outside ball. What? So we are told. That the Red Sox have now us twenty three of their twenty five players only Chris sale, drew Pomeranz. Appeared in this game for Boston that ties and all time major league postseason record. Once you down and away. So we got that going for us. And I'm sure there are some out there that are saying you don't baseball all this these.

"He is not nearly the pitcher that he is in a safe situation, high leverage safe situation as he is in a tie game. But I've got no issue given the fact that kenley has been a little sketchy giving him reps right now and think about it. Now. Now he went into a game. Last night gets a gets a boost of confidence and a good job to get out of it. Once that guy got on this second with one out and I got out of it got out of it. And Ken lease never been a guy who gives you a whole bunch of clean inex-, but all of a sudden you look at you think about the bullpen you think about twenty-seven outs. I'm already in the postseason. I think the dodgers feel like postseason do. I mean, this is. Doer die. Right? So I think though if you figure kenley Jansen for the ninth you figure Cantu mate for either the seventh or the eighth. You've got synchrony to get a tough lefty. You've got scholar, Scott, Alexander whose ground ball, dominant Dylan, Floro look, good Dylan. Floro looked really good last night, really solid those guys great. Come in after my ADA Floro in and Alexandra. I can't remember. It went. It went to the first reliever. Kenta might. Kenley Kershaw went seven than it went Kenta. Then it went kenley than Alexander came in for one pitcher, Peter Cohen, batter and then flora finish it off. Right? And I mean, you know, we've got to start thinking about the twenty-seven outs. It's all about the twenty-seven outs. We don't think about that during the regular season, but he gets six Kershaw, you get six from viewer or maybe even more from those guys and all the sudden you get the outlines. I think the key to the entire postseason is Kent. He is. I think in my mind, he's the single most important player. They'll go as Kenta made a ghost. I would put chanson ahead of my, but I see your point, I think, right. I feel good about John Jansen I guess better than better than you do. But you know, you gotta figure out a way to get to Jansen and somebody just pointed out to me and I forgot this Kenta was lifted for a pinch hitter in the that's why wasn't available to pitch enough. They would have left him in the ninth or not, but. Unlikely. I mean, I think you want. I think you wanna use Cantu the way us kenley manning get really. Yeah. But in I that's the way bring him in a tie game. I wonder you're talking about kenley. Yeah, everytime I wonder sometimes you have a choice, but I, I love their team in their chances again in the postseason thinking about this, Greg says, after the game, Dave Roberts says they only want to throw one inning. Okay. The. Justin Turner is I I want to line this up in the proper order. Justin Turner is the hottest hitter in all of baseball. Right now he is absolutely destroying the ball and Manny Machado hits behind Turner. Yup. So what I think will start to happen is people will pitch around Turner to get to Machado, and that's gonna get Machado going. You know, he hasn't been as great since he came over from the Orioles. I I was looking at his stats, but he's been fine. You know what's he hit ten home runs since he's got to sixty over twenty three. And now he's got thirty three. I mean he's hitting for power. It's just, I guess he's not the guy that would necessarily carry a team at least down the stretch Janney. Turner could. Yeah. And so you've gotta pick your poison us. They're gonna have to pitch Turner. Are you have to pitch to Machado? And I have a feeling Machado is going to get it going. The I remember the other day when I was watching a game of the weekend and Turner got hit in the wrist, the pitch, and I went that. That's Hanley Ramirez getting being five years ago, right? That would ruin us that would back same wrist. It was actually last year more on his on his forearm. I think. And he said afterwards, he was scared that it was some sort of re injury of the exact same situation that kept him out at the beginning of the year..

"What can be done to to fix it? When we talked at the trade deadline, I expressed some surprise that the dodgers I think they added Dylan Floro, but that's not really the name acquisition. We expected them. They all state Fullerton legend Dylan Floro. They. Gently moved Ross stripling and can tomato to successful starters to the bullpen where both of them have been good before stripling. Even earlier this season was a member of the bullpen. Can tomato was rather dominant reliever in the playoffs last year. So I think those two arms should theoretically help stabilize a bit. They also like with Chris Taylor and max Muncie in the lineup have found at least one dominant bullpen guy in Caleb Ferguson who I admit I had never really heard of before the season, but in the bullpen this year he made some starts. But since he moved to the bullpen has been one of the most effective relievers in baseball. He has a one point one, four ERA in twenty three and two thirds innings and with twenty eight strikeouts. So he could help stabilize the back end I think made in stripling might help a bit, but it's really the dodgers as they have been for the. Years are going to have to rely on this depth Julio or ES could theoretically come back at some point. So I'm not as concerned about the bullpen as I am just I think the Diamondbacks and Rockies aren't that bad either, and they pose formidable competition. So let's move onto and you can afford to move biz last thing I'll say about the dodgers although I wanted to just throw out. No, this is not the last thing about, I'll say about the dodgers the one thing if they're getting guys like young Jin Ryu backing and kershaw's healthy and they're managing Walker, Buehler's usage so that he'll be available to really go full throttle down the stretch and in the playoffs that gives them the the luxury of moving guys like my ADA and stripling to the bullpen. The other thing I'll say is it's. Is there sort of a half serious MVP case for? Yes, Monte GRANDE all. There was a couple years, you don't think so. He got one vote, right? I think probably not just because you have guys like air Nado and fritzy Freeman, and even Matt carpenter who's been the best hitter in baseball over the last couple month. Grand all has been really good, but I don't know if he is, is he up there in war close enough to make that a real case? I mean, you'd have to, you'd have to go to warp and wore his hat wars taken a beating as as the one-size-fits-all measuring stick just because the defensive numbers have been so weird this year, and we've run into some sim strength of competition issues. But as I say this, even as Jacob degrom Riley, my NL MVP right now, but grad all is has been a guy who's taken a beating sort of in terms of perceptions of very strange reputation. He's got, you know, with the mix of of good framing and and if he other defense in, but he's an ABC. Offensive forces a catcher in that side. I think that's one thing that really doesn't get enough attention. This is actually, this is actually surprising grandma's warp, which is the were metric that includes catcher framing. He is projected for five point, four wins for between what he has now in the rest of the season that would tie what he had last year and his lower than twenty sixteen. So maybe grand AL's just been perennially underrated. I think he's, yeah, I think that's close to the case. All right. So let's let's move on to to Arizona. My big question about Arizona is who is their best pitcher right now? Is it Patrick Corbin probably maybe feel like that's what I thought you were going to say. Do you think it's cranky?.
MLB -- Clayton Kershaw in for his toughest stretch run yet
"It's Madison Bumgarner versus Clayton Kershaw than at Seattle for three. They're really good. Even playing Seattle just swept the Astros in Houston, and then home to Saint Louis, their eight games over five hundred before things get easier with the Padres in the Rangers. But this this next nine games is going to be a really critical stretch for the dodgers and they're gonna have to figure out what to do with the bullpen. I think that did putting stripling in my aid in the bullpen is smart. I think that gives you two more options there and you know, they've had seven walk off losses this year. That's brutal. That's, but I'm not. I don't know why I'm not panicking yet. I, I guess it's because. Nobody else in the division, and maybe this is lack of respect on my part. But nobody else in the division really scares Arizona's pretty good at Colorado is is neck back. They're good. They're not bad or good. They're they're, you know, they had a good weekend. Dodgers open the door for him this weekend. They could've punched him in the mouth and diamond Mexican. But if if everybody in the dodgers who they have in the roster shows up, right. I think you know, tonight will be fascinating game has it's, you know, two years ago, this would have been the two best pitchers baseball,

"You're just like two or three games blunt by the bullpen that kenley would've saved and you're talking about opening round where it is one game one game potentially on the road. Right now, they'd be the road team because it brewers are won't be able to set your your rotation for that because you're going down the stretch, trying to win every game that you can't. So you can't do that game where you sit a guy here and there. You wait, your turn. He can come in early. We actually are. So I, it's just it's a weird space with dogs VM because they've got the and even the line. Like I don't feel that the best team in the National League, I think, except I don't feel comfortable about anything. Now months. He's turning back into a pumpkin campus slowdown. Bellinger's been hot and cold. Save all year, long, much autos being, you know, Machado, and I think dosier has been incredible. But like you look up down the live with if they don't hit a lot of home runs, what happens. I don't trust the rotation because I don't know what it is. I don't miss the bullpen because I don't know what it is. So even though the numbers, tell me that the lineup is great. The rotation is great, and the bullpen is great. I don't believe it because, again, I don't know what a Dylan Floro is like they traded for a moment. I don't know. I don't know who you are. I don't know what that is. That's how. He could have been completely invented. Yeah, he's been like, look, there has the is kind of the way last year went to where they just of just keep trotting guys out there. And then eventually two or three of them get really hot and you ride those guys, and then you let them leave a lot of money to go cubs the, that's generally how the dodgers play it. And in between you mix an auto pay job is just to infuriate your fans Greg upset. That's right. But like that this isn't how like you always had kenley at the back end of that pulpit and kenley who has had this issue before. This is like the one thing he can't control and can you know people don't realize because he's like a cool do it from Chris out, and he's pretty laid back and pretty chill. Like he's really a leader in that locker room. He is in that clubhouse like he is Kevin Jansen and Justin Turner have been the guys, Matt Kemp is to play them much bigger leadership role. This year doesn't Turner, but like kenley Jansen has been really the leader that staff. So now he's in the clubhouse. You can't play. Yeah. What's funny too is always one of the things that fascinates me about analytics Ramona's like where that line is between the the the right amount squeezing every little bit out of it that you can't, and they're like, oh, that might be too much. And now the dodgers have like their spin rate guy, and they've got their ground ball Alexander and their velocity guy, and they got acts for it because they like, you know, cross matchups between he's a writer who gets out lefties really effectively. They have all of these things down, but they seems like they only have like one guy for each of those things. They get too many. It's too much you need one guy who can do like three things. Another guy can do three or four things you could see in these in these games them going through six, seven, eight hitches routinely, and it's too much you want. You want to know the team wants to know managers wanna know coaches want. They want predictability when you get to October and all that kind of. Stuff because you don't want to be trying to figure out who's hot today. That's the problem with when everybody's a b when everybody's a beyond or beaming, no-one good, but only been a couple of as that they've had all year long and kenley has been one of them. Everybody's good, nobody's great, right. I mean, you saw what the dodgers were like when kenley was blowing saves at the beginning of the year. This was part of the reason why they got off to such a bad start..

I'm let's move on taken boxes. Yep. Okay. We got that one drop done. We got the President Trump and LeBron done. We've got te'o done. We've finished with the dodgers a lot of holiday, the dodgers bullpen and finished on them a lot of hot Dylan Floro talk. Yeah. It really Dylan Floro. We got in there. So Sports Illustrated did a fascinating story about Ray Lewis. Oh, yeah. I read that. This is I'll just tell you the headline and then we'll get into it Ray Lewis and the bubble that has sheltered him. I, it's written by a guy named Robert Clem co and it's about how despite, you know, a legendary career, a lot of people overlooked and incredibly ugly incident in Ray Lewis's life, and it was completely ignored for the most part for the last fifteen years. And obviously hall of fame. Was he now wait a minute. Ray Lewis was not in the first ballot of the hall of fame was he? I think so. Was he first ballot think so? I don't know that it's been. It's been time since he's anyway what? We'll get to it. It's a, it's a fascinating story and. Basically claims that the media has covered up for Ray Lewis. All these years, the media and and the structure by which people get have to talk to garage in the NFL. Yep, we'll get that coming up next Mason. I own brand Kevin skiing for Johnny SPN a lake. Oh, it's not Saturday night. What is up it is. Monday. Always at first day back from vacation. I'm actually in a good mood. Yeah, then I give it another. No through fasttrack you'd only fast I love faster. Yeah, I've got a cool fasttrack today. I got a few. I got some some stuff ready for the rest of the week. Excellent. I so people will forget this or people have forgotten this, that Ray Lewis who was inducted into the pro football hall of fame on Saturday was involved in a murder. Ray Lewis eventually was a witness in a murder case. He was charged with the murder of just sent Baker and Richard Lollar along with two companions. Ultimately, he plowed pled guilty to obstruction of Justice, and most believed that he had the very least witnessed what happened? Right. There are a lot of unanswered questions about the whole thing, whether you're talking about Ray Lewis, the other people he was with that night, everything about this. They're just still are a lot of unanswered questions, but pleaded, guilty crew obstruction of Justice. Yes, after being charged with murder. Now there are a lot of questions about it, but the point of the Robert Clem co article in Sports Illustrated is that there is not. There's not been an opportunity to even ask Ray Lewis about this incident. That the way the NFL structures media availabilities, the way the NFL is able to cut off access to media Vel buildings and to access to players to be able to get comments before after games, etc. Because of that Ray Lewis has been protected all these years from ever answering any really tough questions about went on what went on that night in Atlanta. Yeah, and it's interesting like the the whole way that all of this works now is getting much more tightly controlled, but in the NFL it's different than say the NBA where you can walk up to guide his locker and you see him shoot around or whatever it might be because Todd Gurley for example, Jared Goff they're obligated, I think, speak once a week. Yep. If they want that can be done in a scrum, they take, they take, you know, Jared Goff. They put him at the podium and everybody who covers the Rams in this case, gets there. To ask your questions for the week. That's it, and that could be it. And if you see Jared Goff anywhere else, if he's at his locker practice, whatever might be, he don't have to talk you. You're supposed to stay away from him at that point, what that does for people who don't understand sort of how this works there. Certain questions and certain lines that are difficult to get into when you're standing with twenty other people who are writing columns for day..
